You are locked on NFL draft. You're daily podcasts covering the NFL draft part of the locked on podcast network. Your team every day. Welcome back to the locked on the FFDRAP podcast. I'm Damien Parsons. That's Keith Sanchez. And today's episode is brought to you by a fan duel. Make this your most rewarding NFL season ever with the fan duel rewards club every week. Check the fan duel app to see what's waiting for you in today's episode. It's all about recapping the action of week five from the cost of a ball season for the 22nd, 27th NFL draft at the end. We're going to hand out the game balls to those prospects that help lead their team to victory. We want to talk about guys.
We're not even talking about my back from this really on this episode. Actually, we're doubling down on money makers because a lot of guys play well. And there's a lot of guys that deserve to have their names spoken in the right light. So we're going to really talk about money makers, the entire episode leading up into the game ball segment. Sequid, let's talk about I said it in the intro. This was a lockdown. This is a lockdown corner. This is a guy that's inside believes inside both of our top 10s. Ashton Hampton for the Clemson Tigers versus Miami. Yes, Miami won. It was a 41 13 victory from Miami. But the matchup to watching this game was okay. We talked about it on Friday. Will Clemson let Ashton Hampton follow Melacottoni? He did. He traveled with them. He followed them in motion. He followed them into the slot. And man, I think he only allowed one actual catch that you can. I think that you can pinpoint that he got on Ashton Hampton. This was a lockdown performance. He reminded me of last year, Linda Moore versus McIy lemon, where you got that six to six
three corner going into the slot playing nickel against a five nine five 10 shifty receiver, which is not an easy task to do. No, it's not an easy task to do. And what Ashton Hampton did, he put something on his resume, right? He put locking down who people may say is the best wide receiver in college football. Definitely will be in the 2028 class. He put that on his resume, right? And also another thing that he put on his resume, D.P. was guarding a different body type, right? When you hear us discuss on this podcast, we always talk about right six to six three six four, obviously love the height in those situations. But also we talk about the changes direction, right? And how that is is hindered just off of body anatomy, right? Like just smaller people, you can get in bigger people, right? And for Ashton Hampton to have the opportunity and ability to guard a Malacatoni, who is somewhere around with five 11, six foot 175 pounds, probably five nine, yeah, let's go five five 10 ultra shifty player.
And he can do that. You talk about now, like I said, we both have him in our top 10, but I think he made a loud statement, right? That no, I'm a, I'm a well rounded corner. When you, when you project me to the NFL, you can project me against any number one in the NFL, right? Whether that's the, the AJ Browns and the, you know, the DK Madcastle world, or that's the smallest shifty of guys. If I have to play Baltimore and I have to match up with a Z flowers, and I can not only match up with them, I can lock them down, right? Like you can go ahead and just cancel that match up out the way. So for Ashton Hampton, D.P., it went a long way for me and they, and not the evaluation, but the projection of him and what he can do in NFL defenses. And before we switch to the next, next money maker keeps from me to, to double down what I love this, when you, when you watch the tape against him on the outside, he's, he's press corner, he's physical, he likes to dictate the action. This was not a game that Miami, this is not a match, Miami's gonna let you do that to Mallacayatoni, which is kind of hard to do that anyway, just with his, his skillset.
It wasn't appropriate. It wasn't going to fit like trying to out physical Mallacayatoni. That's almost playing right into his, his, um, into his answer. And I think this is where you was going with it. You had to win with feetwork against Mallacayatoni. You had to win with having loose hips explosive in and out of breaks, things like that. You had to be disciplined playing a Mallacayatoni. It wasn't just an, I agree with you because you know, part of me and I was, I put him in my top 10, but obviously there was this little bit, you know, you talk about like the, the goal of the past, right? There was a little bit of him that I was like, does this remind me of Cahier Eelum a little bit, right? Because they're the same. Similar sizes. They both big corners, right? And I was like, okay, but I'm like, nah, I think he has a little bit more twitching. It's to him. I think you answered that question, um, you know, with this matchup. But like I said, that's a, this is a, this is a resume game for him. Um, and he aced it, right? Like he, whatever class this was, the Mallacayatoni Miami class, he got a eight plus out of that on his, on his resume and his report called DP.
I'm going to, one of his team kind of plays in the ACC, he doesn't play in the ACC a little bit independent. No, today, right? I'm going to talk about a game while receiver, Jordan Faezon had a spectacular game, um, against North Carolina, right? And it was much needed. But this is a young man that we've discussed a little bit DP, but I think releasing the top 100 list, I will put him in my top 100. And I'm going to tell you who reminds me of Buffalo Bill's great Khalil Shakir. This ZY receiver that can play slot that's going to do all the nitty gritty things, right? He's going to run his routes with temples. He's going to, well, he has good contact balance run after the catchability can do punk returns for you. He's going to beat that. He's, I think he can enter the NFL DP where if he's your number two, you should be in a, a okay spot. If he's your number three, why receiver? You're in a great spot, right? And I think, and if you look at Khalil Shakir, right? Like he's throughout the years, you know, with the three, four years he's been with Buffalo,
um, at times he's had to play the number one. Which there wasn't ideal for him, right? But he, he still suffice because there were some athletic thresholds to him. At times he had to play the number two. And that was okay for the Buffalo Bill's, right? But you still felt like because you're a little bit stronger at Y receiver. And now in this situation with the insertion of DJ Moore, him kind of playing at 2.5, but they're reliable target. Um, it's very important. And I can see that exact same translation of a Jordan Fizzai, not a no today. Yeah. And for those who haven't who, who didn't check out the game, Jordan Fizz, I was eight and one 32 and two, eight for one 32 and two receiving touchdowns five, listen at 5. 1185 key, that can see that that Khalil Shakir, Josh downs. And it depends on what it looks like in person. Maybe that kind of Roman Wilson, who we've seen the past two weeks for the Steelers, make big plays down the field. Yeah, Antonio Williams, right? Tony Williams, another one. Yeah. Who's, who's made a couple plays in the NFL already has a rookie who was a first round target, right? But yeah, another, he's another victim of the situation.
Yeah, I'm a bad casualty. Of course. A casualty of course. 100%. But no, I like that you called him out. Keith, I'm, I'm bring up a guy that you talked about Keith. Nick Marsh from Indiana, um, you know, he made Charlie Beck. I think they both, they both went over 100, 100, 100 against Rutgers. Like, we're waiting for that, that, that October, those that, that was October November matchups with, I think Michigan's defense and cornerbacks and Ohio State, but Nick Marsh had himself a big day. And it was honestly, I still, like Josh, who were still in Accu, thought it's wow. He, like, he gets really, he becomes more inaccurate when he throws to Nick Marsh for some reason where the passage just aren't on target, but 47, 15 victory, Nick Marsh, seven for 120 and a touchdown. And this wasn't the game where he had like multiple 60 yard catches guys. His longest catch was for 30 yards. Like, this is a guy I truly believe it could be a Y receiver one at worst, Y receiver two in the NFL. I think you, you look at his skill set of a guy like a volume receiver. That's how I look at him.
I look at, this isn't a guy I want to do. He's not like, I look at Charlie Becker at worst. I know the full of Charlie Becker. I can, I know for a fact, I can get you three, I can get you three receptions of game. You probably have 100 yards because of that speed, the ball skills, the size down the field. I look at Nick Marsh as a volume guy. I want to pepper him with as many targets as possible. I feel like he gets stronger and better the more you get him the football. No, I agree 100% and that's why I look at it in the situation. And I'll say I'm like, this was the overlooked guy, right? And it's going to play out. BP is going to be one of those situations where as it unfolds and like, okay, wait, Nick Marsh does a lot of different stuff. And I think we're going to have a conversation. And I know where I stand, right? I can't fight you. If you had to just put me on a hot seat and say, keep your starting NFL team. You need a Y receiver. Take one of the two. I'm taking Nick Marsh, right? And I made me the only guy, but that's okay. BP, that's okay. Like I've been here before and we'll get it. I'm sure you have at some point. Right now, it might be the only one on the archmaning hill, right? Just bum myself away.
We'll figure it out. We'll figure it out. But deep, let's go ahead and do this, man. Like you said, this week, we're switching up a little bit. We had so many 2027 NFL draft prospects play at a high level. So we're going with the ultra positivity today. And we're doubling down again on more money makers. More 2027 NFL draft prospects that play at a high level. Let's discuss this coming up next. David Harrison here at the Lockdown Commanders podcast. Talk about butcher box. So make this the most rewarding NFL season ever with fan do visit fandal. Dot com today to get started. A lot of guys made money family. A lot of guys made money and Keith one guy we've been waiting for that breakout from Miami and he had it last night. Damien Wilson, the edge rusher from Miami. Young man had himself a night Keith and you know, first is Clemson. Damien Wilson, three sacks, two QB hits, six hurries. I believe they have a voice. I can't remember if he did. But he had like this was his best performance of the season, right? Just absolutely broke out and a young man that we've been waiting because what it was
Ruben Bay and the Ken Messador, like, man, who's going to take who's going to fill their shoes? Well, Damien Wilson said took me a couple of weeks because I think I found the right size. I think I found my cleats to be able to step on to this defensive line and wreck some habit. Yeah, 100%. He had the show in DP that we've been expecting him to have, right? Two and a half sacks against Clemson on Saturday night. And listen, it was him winning the way that we knew that he could win, right? This is a young man. He's different from Ruben Bay and why my, a Ken Messador. He's more of the speed guy, right? Like the speed is going to set up the rest of his game. A Ken Messador and Ruben Bay knows were power guys, right? Those guys were 275 to 285 somewhere in there, right? Damien Wilson is 245 to 50. So I'm different body profile and body type. But when we watched him, we say, wait, watching the film at Georgia, watching the film at Missouri, this is a speed guy off the edge that he can really threaten up feel. And I think Saturday night is when you actually started to see those portions of it, right?
You started to see that happen. What he was winning around the edge at the corner, but he also has some hand counters and counter attacks utilizing his hands and different maneuvers to be able to win. So I think DP, I think this is the jumping off point. And when you look at it, it will be interesting because we talk about the back and other first round, top of the second round. It started the DP. That's been the curve balls, right? That's been when it's something that's unexpected, you know, those last 10 picks at a first round. And also you can start throwing in various different names. Like I think about last year, we had was we had Derek Moore, you know, kind of slotted in that area. Side-arm young slotted in that area. Quite a few guys that, that, you know, kind of consistently the, the, the, what's it the year before? Was it down of it? Is it Ricky? What's that last year? That was, that was, I've been, either the year before, before, yeah. And, you know, you put ad rushes, they consistently go that, you know, you talk about the last 10 to 15 picks at a first round in the first 20 picks. That's when in a matter of time Lawrence. Yeah. Malik Collins is another one, right?
And he was a very late rise to the problem. I think he wasn't kind of identified to right before the senior bowl. It's like he was a big, maybe worry fine. It was truly a draft, a draft cycle and draft process like star. Like once we got to like, see you bowl, trombone, like that timing, then his stock started to take off the heat, you know, dominated the, the combine and said, you know, I know I'm a first round pick. And that's what he was. Yeah, 100%. So I look at Damon Wilson and I'm going to tell people just kind of look at the same trajectory, right? Like this young man has that let us athletic traits that NFL teams want. The less see if the production continues to match up. No, 100% key. I'm going to go, I'm going to stick with, I'm going to stick with that Miami Clemson game real quick. I'm going to go to the receiving side. I don't want to go to that on Clemson. Brian Westco junior. Yeah. Nine now receptions on 12 targets 152 yards receiving. And this talk about Damon Wilson, we will wait for him to have that breakout. We will wait for Brian Westco even TJ Moore had a good game.
Yes, they only put up 13 points. But these two young receivers who are to me, guys who could be top 50 at worst, top 100 picks. Like they even were able to, they were able to make plays in Brian Westco junior. Again, over 150 yards receiving head that that catch with the viral Duke on the Miami defender, where it looked like just a hard, as he left right, as he ankle breaker on the hardwood. He was like, oh, but I watch him Brian Westco. I saw that last year. I'm like, he can make plays after the catch. He's just a wire rebuild with the young man's athletic. He can get in and out of his breaks. He's a good rock runner. But he could be really good with the ball and his hands. He kind of reminds me a little body type wise, but like a Devon to Smith with the Philadelphia's coming down to Alabama. It's just, you know, Devon to Smith had tour in Mac Jones and Bama. He's at Clemson with the true freshman tape, the tape rentals, going to football. So I like what I love what I saw from Brian Westco junior.
And this is a wire receiver. If he can start stacking together, you know, games, he may decide to go ahead and leave and go to the NFL. Either way, if you return, I don't think you stay at Clemson. I think you still find a way to get out of there. Yeah, I mean, listen, I thought the same thing. D.P. And when I was watching, I'm like, maybe he could come out this year, right? With that effort, nothing maybe his body. Right. That's what I'm saying. It's a little bit possible with D.P. I'm going to go back to the Miami defensive line. And I'm going to enter a defensive line position. And I'm going to talk about my guy, a mind-moting, right? Came back when he was injured for a couple weeks, right? He did a couple of weeks. You know, I'm two weeks, I think. Yeah, he was out and then coming to this Clemson game. And he just flashed, right? I think he finished a game with, statistically, with a half a sack. But he just flashed getting upfield pressure, being physically, being physically dominant, right? Like you've seen those strength of power conversions from him. You've seen the quickness that he has. You've seen the heavy hands, things of that nature.
All the reason why we know, when we talked about him in the summer, I was like, he might be defensive tackle one or two for me, right? Yeah. Just watching him play in that nature. Then it's fun because you got him and you got Justin Scott, both in there. And they're almost reverse built D.P. from what they were last year, right? You know, last year they had the two edge rushers that kind of powered this thing through. Then this year is going to look like it's going to be the two defensive tackles. But Miami's trench game is definitely still up the par. And I'm looking to see how my mind molten continues. Same with Damon Wilson, right? Like how do you continue to stack these, of these games and stack these statistics? That was about to be a tongue twist before you got it. But I worked through it. So a mind-mountain was definitely a guy. No, I was just essentially. Yeah, I mean, he had a half a second, a fumble force in this game. He's an ideal three-tick, six, three, 300 pounds, even that first step quickness, good pad level. He's a guy that just wants to wreck shop. Like he just wants to get back in the backfield. He has a high motor, love that watching them. Yeah, he's still him.
My guy David Stone getting hurt and not playing the best. His stock is kind of falling for me. But Will Eccles, right now Will Eccles and my mountain looked to be the top two defensive tackles. Give him a real quick on the throw. I took another wild receiver. Trayv Richardson from Louisville. And you may not know much about him. Get him on your radar. Because I'm going to tell you something. Just watching him, I feel I'm not comparing him to his end of the field player. But without remembering what scene when he was at FIU, he 510 175, this man reminds me a little bit of a T Y Hilton key. He reminds me of T Y Hilton when he was at FIU coming out in a long time ago. Against Noke Liner, there's facing Noke Liner state. It was a three point loss in everything. But he caught eight catches, 117 yards, and a touchdown. He average almost 15 yards per catch with a longer 38. This guy is explosive. He's dynamic against Ole Miss. He had a long, I think a long touchdown that he did catch. And he had one where he was wide open.
But the quarterback did, like he under threw him with an inaccurate ball. This is just, like we got to talk about all these trees and towers we have at this receiving core. Is this receiving class? Are these big body guys? I'm loving the Faesons, the Ryan Covey Williams, the Trayv, you've got to have balance. Everybody can't be 6'4. You know what I mean? Everybody's not built to be 6'4 and separate and be a great, a yak threat and an explosive athlete. You need some of these underneath. Got some of these smaller guys that kind of round things out. You can't have a team full of power for it. So what do they end be at? Yeah, I mean, listen, because it provides versatility, right? In versatility within the wide receiver core, and those guys lining up in different alignments, being able to do different things. There is a, there is a plus point or asset to having been between 5'9 and 6'4, right? Like there's different things that you can just do. And as a play call, there's different plays that you know are more willing to call for those type of wire to see. Let's go ahead and do this, man. Get your hat, get your whistle,
deep down, I don't know if you have a visor guy. You have a visor guy, more hat guy. Hat guy. More, more, more hat, more hat. OK, get your hat, D.P. I might put on the bucket hat this week, man. And get ready to jump into the locker room. Because we are passing out game balls for this weekend's top performance for the 2027 NFL draft prospects coming up next. OK. It's time to hand out our game balls to the prospects. Coming off of week four, week five, I'm sorry, I have the calls for the ball season. I'm calling games. Keith, it's game ball segment. We gotta give out the game balls. We talk about a lot of guys how willing, perform multiple hundred yard receivers and all that stuff, Keith, who gets your game ball of week five for the 2027 NFL Jail.
Are we both DP? I'm gonna enter the locker room like our guy, PJ Fleck, right, and take me and drink my water, and then I'm gonna do the crowd serving thing. And then I'm gonna give the game ball to Mr. Jamal Roberts. Come on down. That is the running bag for the Missouri Tigers. He finished his game. They had a top 10 matchup. They were number eight. Florida was number eight came to Missouri. He finished a game, 24 carries, 211 yards and three touchdowns. And this was a flat out tone setter, DP. He was the guy that came in. He was consistent from beginning to end, the spectacular runs. He had the one run, was that in a third quarter, DP? And that one just felt like, because we so used to say like passes that kind of like broke the defenses back up, whatever proverbial phrase that you use it for. But it was that run, he kind of ran behind his offense attack, was spun out of there. And then he turned into like a 60, 70 yard game. And it felt like, yeah, this is over. This Missouri did, right?
Like it's just going to Missouri's day. So I wanna give it to Jamal Roberts. And also the situation he was put in, obviously we know that the household name or college football household name coming into the season was a my hearty, right? In that situation, not I asked myself, the P.I. sit here, and I say, could we, could Missouri present us with the same situation that Notre Dame presented us with last year, right? Where maybe it won't be two first round running backs, but could they have two second round running backs go in the same draft, right? Cause a healthy and my hearty we've seen is definitely one of the best in college football in the running back situation. In college football has kind of been up in the air. So could he come back just for the draft and use his sophomore film and utilize that to get drafted in the second round? And then do you have a Jamal Roberts who was using this year to play at a very high level and be very productive? Cause that's 600 yards, DP. Plus far so he's on pace. I mean, he played what five, six games. So he's on pace to be 12, 13 hundred yards. And that's not even counting. This Missouri team looks good. Missouri looks like who everybody thought Florida was, right?
Yeah. And team with the optimal offense, the running back, well, I still give Jane ball a credit, but just a running back run game, the quarter bag is clearly better. We're going to talk about him on tomorrow. So yeah, we'll get it to that tomorrow. But yes, this Missouri team had, they have some traction. They can enter the playoffs. You talking about the SEC championship game, potentially a lot of different things coming there with you. 100% Jamal Roberts, six foot, 215, 16 pounds. And he runs like, this is a downhill, just like got it, contact balance vision. And then he showcased multiple times, long run down the sideline. We got tackled, I think inside the five. And then the one he actually took to the house, right? Like he shows, I got enough open field speed to create some big plays down the field. And I mean, yes, it sucks that we don't see a mod hardy, but then you got to look at the silver line and we're getting to watch the emergence of Jamal Roberts. And that's something that the draft community should absolutely be happy about. Keep crazy enough, we're both sticking with the running backs.
Keith, I'm gonna go to Tennessee running back. The Sean Bishop, 34 carries, 220 yards, Russian, three Russian touchdowns. This young man, another bowling ball, dense build, downhill runner who could be, be that one cut guy as well. Like I believe they benched the freshman quarterback phase on in this game. And yeah, he's, the Sean Bishop junior running back, 510 to 15 similar builds to Jamal Roberts. But yeah, he actually dominated this game. Keith, like they only scored 24 points. He scored three, the three touchdowns ahead came by the Sean Bishop. Like he was the guy over six and a half yards per rush. He didn't even, they didn't even target him. This wasn't a game where he caught passes out of the backfield and he was used as a, no, they just said, you know what? We are against Auburn's defensive front. We're about to, Jayden Ball, you brother. We're about to run the rock, which is impressive.
You love to do that against Auburn's front or Auburn's front. We started be looking a little bit overrated. So that's right. Yeah, a little bit. Cause I mean, Jayden Ball did it now. You've got the, you know, the Sean Bishop, but that was a run bit that was on my radar. I just got to see how he would play once you got an SEC. Cause I think we're just running back classes, a lot of stuff up in the air right now. So I want to, you know, we talked about Jamal Roberts, two SEC running backs, many Jamal Roberts and the Sean Bishop. Hey, Bishop could go, he could go back and take the NIL to go back to Tennessee. I said, you look at how this class looks at the end of the season. And if it's a weaker class, you could end up being a third round pick. Maybe a second round pick to win, depending on how you perform. And maybe a senior ball or a shrine ball to go to the combine and do your thing. So definitely want to get my captain and the young man was used as a, a workhorse, a bell cow. And oh, yeah, he run the bells. He run the bells, three rushing touchdowns, over 200 yards, rush a shot to the Sean Bishop and shot to Jamal Roberts. Yep, man, that's the heck of performance by both of those running backs.
I want to just, I'm gonna finish up with the point you made DP just for I would, you know, draft fans is definitely, you know, people pay attention to the draft and the cycles, right? I think was going to happen DP in the result of the transfer portal is that these rankings, they're, they're probably going to get pushed back. Some, right? Because you got new faces and new places, right? And so you got different production levels and things that, nature, not agree with you 100%. Running back is one of those positions, DP, where I think it won't be probably until late October, right? You get a good enough sample size to where you really feel like I could put out a position rankings one through 10 of these guys, because you're getting different production levels in which is not a, all man, they've only done it one year. It's an exciting thing because some of these guys were in bad situations. Some of these guys got bumped up from D2 bus. Some of them were playing in some builds. Some of them were playing in the American conference, right? Some of them just wasn't in the situations. And now they're playing good situations in advance competition. And then now they're ready to take all of the, so I think it's going to, this is going to make the draft process even more fun and more exciting because we get new,
new players in different situations in different places. DP, that wraps up another episode, man, of the locked on NFL draft podcast on in his podcast. Oh, by saying shout out to our every day.
