Every week check the Fando app to see what's waiting for you and today's episodes all about the prospects to watch the week five of calls football for the 27 NFL draft at the end of the show.
We can talk about our make a statement players what players need to make a statement to help their 27 NFL draft stock defensive prospects to watch. But let's kick it off with the offensive side of the ball. The side of the ball at scores points Keith and typically I talked about him on Monday and I noticed the guy that you want to you want to break down a little bit Ryan Coleman Williams. Like he came in polarizing drops all of that but he's really going to turn the season around after the first week of you know he had those two drops Keith what do you want to see from Ryan Coleman Williams because they play what Mississippi state in a big match of Eileen Russell, Camario Taylor to high profile quarterbacks that will be in next year's class. Yeah. Now listen is not is is what I want to see in what I want to see is consistency from Ryan Coleman Williams and listen over the past two games right. I will see been decent games right. They played Florida state he had three catches for 62 yards. He had a touchdown right and then again South Carolina this past weekend he had five receptions for 98 yards and two touchdowns right.
So he has three touchdowns on the season both of them well three of them have come in a pass two weeks and their play Mississippi state Mississippi state is a high scoring offense right. I would tune into this game. This is not the normal Mississippi state. This team can put a point on defensively we're still trying to figure that part out right on the bottom. Yeah. They have one of the best quarterbacks in the nation with Mr. Camario Taylor right there. Yep. Yep. Yeah Camario Taylor. So listen I'm looking for Ryan Coleman Williams to step up to to beat that guy they beat a go-to guy for the for Keel and Russell to flat out make plays to look like a flash of himself. We know as a freshman when he was like hey there's race between him and Jeremiah Smith is going to be really fun down the stretch right. Long time ago now Keel that feels like so long ago we had that conversation but we did have that conversation because he looked that talented in that skill. I believe what it was one of his best games was when he played Georgia a couple of years ago I believe. So I'm looking at a deep peak show that you're the best wire receiver on a football field
right. And that stands for both teams and then start to build that momentum again towards being a first round wire receiver right because you do this in this situation you go for over 300 yards attention. He's somewhere in that ballpark then you get people starting a discussion like wait I think Ryan Coleman Williams is starting to turn it back around. He's starting to turn in the right direction so he's a guy that I'm definitely watching this weekend. Yeah I like it I talked about it I believe it was on it was Tuesday's episode Keith and you know watching that game back against Al-Kirman he probably had 200 yards receiving if they if they threw the ball to him he was wide open a couple times but and they used him as a decoy and freed some other guys up man his speed is yak ability I tweeted it out on yesterday Keith this is still a first round prospect for me this is still a front line I love this receiver class and especially we talk about it's a lot of size in this class a lot of big body 6364 6.5 all the way up to 6.6 there's not a lot of 6 foot 180 190 guys with probably 4.3 speed that can make you miss and create after the
catch that's what Ryan Coleman Williams is let's keep him away from shahmeh vague guys let's keep him away from the Los Angeles Rams we don't need him out there or Puka and Devonte Adams but Keith a guy with a highlight man another wide receiver and he's a guy that's not talked about a ton in this class and that is Anthony Evans the third he is a wide receiver from Mississippi state people I know he spent two years 23 and 24 at the University of Georgia then he transferred to 2025 transfer in 2025 last year Mississippi state had 821 yards for receiving touchdowns this season 28 receptions on 38 targets 408 yards receiving three receiving touchdowns almost 15 yards per reception this young man listed at 511 190 right kind of almost in that kind of macaque lemon type of build as well speed he gets vertical he gets over the top and you talked about this Mississippi state offense is high power they score a lot of points acts to South Carolina gamecucks they were up 16 and
they got hit with a couple haymakers in the fight was over Keith you know I mean they woke up off the mat and it was like how they put 40 on us didn't see that coming like these guys can score and I want to I want to see how I want to see if he matches up with Xavier Brown right you know I want to see if he gets that match up with 101 with Xavier Brown how many times how many times he gets to match up because that could be one that can really help elevate his draft stock yeah no I like that DP that that will be a intriguing situation balances out high balances out and then see how he handles everything in neighborhood you know be productive for his team I'm gonna go with this DP I was thinking should I go quarterback should I go quarterback should I go I'm a go quarterback EP I'm a go with how they quarterback Julian and say okay it's right and Iowa historically is one of those tough gritty runner football teams right you you can't make a mistake because they won't make a mistake but they'll force you into a uncharacter mistake right like something you don't usually do I'm looking at Julian saying right
and what he will be able to do against his defense that's usually tough right they usually have a good tough defense of front and I'm looking at it from this perspective that I was built and usually they're built to stop the run right and so if the run game is not there and then they have to put the football in your hands how do you handle everything right if you have to throw if it's a third and eight and you have to you know throw for the third down you know to get the first down then what happens right like when it's put on your shoulders or if the game becomes in balance right to where the offensive coordinator feels is though hey we can't run a football right now so we have to pass the football right like there is no balance to it and then everybody in the building knows that you're throwing the football then you still have to throw the football what are those completions look like no 100% I think that's gonna be a big thing because and I mean and now Keith I've been saying for a long time I think they get a quarterback I think they might finally have one Keith and Hank Brown his like the fact they were able to pull off the upset against Michigan I don't even call it upset but get the win against Michigan and it's not just running spam and run game
40 times a game like yeah we get to the ball done the field we got a quarterback with a good arm I think he's also mobile so that this is a situation where if the defense doesn't play up to par for Ohio State could this be a situation where Iowa plays clock control manage the game Keith Ohio states offense off the field from having a hundred snaps so whatever the case may be and a bunch of bites into Apple and limit their possessions and make this a more 17 14 game 17 20 game or 24 17 game where it's not in the upper 30s and everything else and they keep them from scoring a lot of points Keith but I want I so I like that call off a Julian saying because he's just and he's a quarterback that I said I talked about on Tuesday as well you can win with Julian saying is he a franchise guy as we like to what is he a truck a trailer or a hitch I said I think he's more of a hitch but it just depends on what situation you put him in so I want to see him play well then against another talented opponent I wouldn't say that their talent is on the par with Ohio State
like a we've seen what gets Miami last year in Indiana but this is also a defense that can make things very difficult for you Keith I'm not going to a wide another wide receiver um Charlie Becker probably Becker for Indiana a guy that has a lot of a lot of buzz right now people some people have them as their number two wide receiver in the class a behind Jeremiah Smith and I think for him is because he didn't put that high point himself he didn't tweet that say I'm the second best of best receiver in college football he didn't say that what he did is he's going out there he's he's producing and this is 64 210 track athlete big speed he can absolutely um he actually fly like that he opens up that stride he gets even with you he's leaving Keith like you've got to get hands on Charlie Becker to slow him down because if you don't he can win the foot race and just glide past you and in the game against Rutgers and I'm going to talk about the other receiver a little bit later um in the KJ Duff but you know you know spoiler alert make a statement you know KJ make one we go talk about that later but if it's Charlie Becker Keith
I just want to see him just continue to stack weeks there's now you're not I I not I didn't knock him but I was like okay you're beating up on team on corners that you can't that they can't run with you they can't hang with you you're getting more than a big 10 player and in facing uh better better secondaries better teams better players can you continue to do that as the guy what happens if the teams if Rutgers try to W in bracket you can you figure your way out of the bracket and your way out of the trap and get open still so I'm be looking for those type of things with Charlie Becker you're up D.P. I'm gonna throw out this name real quick uh we discussed them plenty of times has another big time match up Minnesota quarterback Drake Lindsay has Michigan Deef and you go beat Michigan you beat you beat Washington last week right in prime time you go beat Michigan this week then yeah the the the draft stock is definitely gonna start so on for your young man so keep it up keep going D.P. Let's do this man let's go ahead and switch sides other football man let's talk about the defensive prospects that we need to watch this upcoming week when we're talking to 27 NFL draft prospects let's discuss some coming up next.

defense of prospects to watch on the field in week five for the 2027 in FL draft Keith there's some some interesting matchups this week what defense of prospect you want to highlight first yeah I'm gonna go to a prime time matchup I'm gonna go with cornerback um one of the few bright spots that Clemson has right now um and that is mr. Ashton Hampton right we came a couple to go and he was in my top 10 prospects right I said I had three corners um and he was one of the three corners in my top 10 I really liked this young man listed as six to uh right around 200 pounds fluid mover contract the football physical um can press with his feet not only his hands I really like this young man he has a good matchup dear playing my hand me right and we don't know what the game in the score is gonna look like right but this is gonna be a resume for him right he's going against Malacan Tony some people who believe will be the best wire seeker next year's draft right if there was no Jeremiah Smith some people believe that he is the best wire seeker um in college football at this very moment so you have that matchup with the speed guy Malacan Tony that could take the top
off I'll be watching to see if he's gonna you know follow him mirror him xyz but then also you have the guy that transferred it with Darienman so mr. Cooper Barkey right savvy Robert can sit it down find the openings in zone defense um understands temple route running things of that nature so you're gonna have two totally different styles right but that's what's gonna happen in the fell too so I'm gonna be looking to see how he changes up pace um you know whether he's matched up with the wire seats I'm gonna be looking to see if he travels from side to side right if his if his thing is in the defense coordinator for Clemson says you know what you got Malacan Tony the entire game does he travel with him the entire game he does he getting a slot right um which we know that he can do and in cover potentially Cooper Barcaid of Malacan goes in the slot so I'm gonna be watching Ash and Hampton because this will be a big time moment for him with the talented Miami offense no hundred percent you know I can remember the going in remember the LSU game last year week one and it was our guy avion terrell and I'm like hey let him shadow the number one receiver for LSU the guy he was killing them on screens and overrounds and
just quick route whatever he was whatever he wanted he was getting and I'm like put avion terrell on him if not he's going to continue to cook you and he did and I'm like okay Clemson let's not do this again put Ash and Hampton and have him follow it's either Cooper Barcaid or Malacan Tony because you the one of them could get hot right there your mint as a pinpoint accurate passer give your passers give will help and those boys Sammy Brown is a blitzer that's linebacker give those guys opportunities to get back there knock him off a spot hit him make contact with him and see if you can get in his head a little bit he hasn't been rattled all season this is a talented defense from a from a actual talent standpoint they have NFL players in the defense yet again as they typically always do at Clemson down I'm putting on the coaches let show number one player be your number one player and take away their number one or number two player and try to limit their impact Keith you tell my limiting impact man it's uphill battle for this young man Keith
and I was because I expect him to see some matchups the Sean Lee the cornerback for the Iowa Hawkeyes you talked about Julian saying Keith well the Sean you got to at some point you're going to see that man that we like to call you know Jeremiah Smith the generational one you're going to have to see that man and then disson this does Sean Lee is listed at 510 180 so you told me the weight class you're a little you little out of the realm for the weight class Keith but so far this season so good right through four games he's only been targeted which is crazy only been targeted nine times he's allowed three receptions for 28 yards he does have two interceptions and two P.B. Use what that tells me Keith is this is a young man like Iowa typically has opportunistic corners opportunistic defensive backs that know how to get back there and play their zones play their spots and read the quarterback and make a play on the ball the Sean Lee is going to be a big time game for him because it's not about whether or not for example Jeremiah Smith walk guys
game with 300 yards receiving it's very possible he's Jeremiah Smith right like they he can do that but when we go back to the tape and we look at the numbers and say well when disson Lee faced him he was 0 for 4 like that makes you look a whole lot better than just the stats sheet of stat line of 14 catches 300 yards and three touchdowns Jeremiah Smith you know what I mean like we look at him okay well let me look at what the Sean Lee do he he he's giving up size he's 510 190 that's two that's 632 25 in Jeremiah Smith how did he play him right can you stand the hip pocket can you be a net that just annoys him the entire game whenever you get matched up on them because one of the things with Jeremiah is like he likes to use his physicality in the in the contact window at against press coverage can you be a irritant and really get under his skin in that regard is very hard to do but I've seen it done so definitely a big opportunity for the Sean Lee because again you told me this this cornerback class to me key we talk but we really love this cornerback class this could be a guy with his size you're either outside or you could probably play some nickel for some teams shows what you
can do Josh huh yeah I'm gonna stay with this match up I'm gonna go with or how you state though and I'm gonna go King Yada Jackson D.P. last time we had I got prime time on before King Yada Jackson was when they played Texas right and one of the things that he showed was the ability to be styled against the run I want to see if he's going to be able to repeat that effort right like we say we know who I was they played tough defense they're good in the trenches they're gonna try to run the football so I'm looking at King Yada Jackson and House's rum game right and then also is his what is his temperament right is his violent temperament infectious to the rest of the defense right to see a guy that's getting everybody else going because he's kind of I don't say the lone wolf in the sense of talent because Ohio State has a lot of talent but as far as household names on his defense he's the lone wolf right everybody's still trying to identify all of the guys that they got through the transfer portal things that at nature he's the guy right and and so him stepping up to the plate being that captain being a guy that been in Ohio State for all four years of his career this is your show right and this is the type of matchups where you can't lose and so will he make a game changing playing a run game also can he make a game changing plate one of the I don't know
15 times that Iowa will drop back right it won't be off um will he be able to get home to the quarter back and make a place so I'll be having eyes on King Yada Jackson because he can be a guy that can be a common name that you see in the first round if he continues to put together good performance promises he has the high-wispy of going for him yeah that big thing for him is going to you know like you said Keith how many times are going to actually throw it stop the run you know I mean stop camarie molten from being able to dictate the pace of this game and put that pressure on Hank Brown who's a I think is a young quarterback and make him have to throw against your talents the secondary and that gives you the opportunity then to pin your ears back on third and 12 and get after him right and and that's a matchup I didn't get to mention them you know get with the offensive prospects but I'm glad you mentioned King Yada because he's got a match with one of the top tackles in the country and in this draft it's Trevor Lauck for for Iowa so that ae who their movable object versus the unstoppable force as they like to say which one of these guys are going to really be
able to help their team like set the tone and dictate the pace that's going to be a big matchup Keith is in the run game can you shed and get to the running back and or set heart edges and really allow your defense to to to rally to the ball but there's a pass for sure can you win one because I'm expecting to put King Yada in the in the island can you and if he rushes from the interior do you see some matchups if they stand you up on the on the right thing he's right guard Kay Piper the the other talented offensive line who's the first round caliber prospect out of Iowa offensive line is really legit this year so definitely I like that they got some prospects to watch on on the offensive line that could match up well against him when looking forward to seeing what he's going to be able to do overall Keith because that's going to be a big thing for him and I'll say Jamey Matthews in this game too because I will again Keith I think to be listening to the pod they would got them a quarterback they got a they got this kid get his young man I think it's Tony Diaz just explosive wide receiver Keith I got him in the transfer
portal mate when did I was not going to the transfer portal what is going on here right he's I think he's lead he should be leading them yes Tony Diaz he's leading them in receiving yards he's 20 of 37 for 247 on the season he's revealed be available eligible next year and everything but 510 184 this young man can go 84 week 184 yards receiving against Iowa state 95 yards receiving Northern Iowa they didn't really need them with 22 yards Michigan did their best to limit him they really put a lot of coverage on him Jamey Matthews and he's the draft eligible corner I think Deva Sanchez is a true software so we won't be talking about him till next year so yeah when Tony Diaz gets the ball you guys got a rally because they'll get it to him in the screen game quick game or emotion on type of stuff like that they'll find the way to get him into space these corners need to be ready got a number one gotta be ready to tackle you miss a tackle in this kid this young man can take it up the sideline no DP let's go ahead and do this man let's go to my favorite part of the show
maker statement right where we pick a player from all of these college football matchups we pick a 27 NFL draft prospecting we say it's time to make a statement right but whatever reason you will help your team win maybe people are not talking about it you enough maybe you were slept on maybe some people think your team made it better than you hint hint that might be what I wrote D.P. so let's discuss that coming up next man maker statement player of the we will discuss that coming up the next the NFL season is full of games you plan for all year but sometimes the best memories come from the games you almost miss game time makes it easy to find tickets to NFL matchups that you want to see with prices that include fees so you know your total cost upfront you can browse games see a panoramic view from your seat before you buy and get tickets in just a couple of taps guys whether it's a robbery game a matchup featuring a player you must see in person or an underdog ready to make some noise game time makes getting to the game simple think about the game on the schedule

pin people against each other I said what about with direction I was going in and I'm going with Indiana wire receiver Nick Marsh um listen coming out of the summer heading into this football season I had a higher grade on Nick Marsh then what I did Charlie Becker right now Charlie Becker Consentiously a lot of people believe he is wire receiver too right like that he's yeah so planted himself there I dp when I watch Nick Marsh I see some wire receiver tricks that I really like the start stop ability to be able to go up and get the football route running sitting his own strong hands um wide catch radius all of those different things I really like so I'm going to put it on him dp to make a statement because this is a prime time matchup right all beat is not a top 25 matchup but a lot of people be watching right and I want him to come out and have a good showing to remind everybody like hey I really can ball right I get it you know like my teammate I'm all for that but I really can ball so I'm looking at this situation dp and I'm highlighting Nick Marsh man go put on a show this Saturday this prime time let everybody know yes I should be in first
round discussions also now you know you can we talk when we we broke him down we both love him six three two ten on the seasons uh 16 of 24 for 222 and three receiving touchdowns um he he should he should have way better numbers uh was against western Kentucky he was open for touchdown Joshua and mistom um against north western last Friday Keith on a Friday night and prime time he was open multiple times Joshua and mistom the the quarterbacks got to get the ball to Nick Marsh too because once you get deeper into to the big 10 you start playing these better teams you can't just say or Charlie becker saved me every time you gotta get the ball because to me it's it's it's going to be a very difficult conversation because I really do like Charlie Nick Marsh can do things that I haven't seen Charlie do the they just stop start ability making plays after the catch this is a six three 210 pound wide receiver that has nimble footwork he has the ability to be strong he can fight through contact but then also he can make him miss right just hit you with a spin move um a jump cut like
stiff arm you he has multiple ways of creating yards after the catch Keith so I want to see them feed him the ball and get him going because Nick Marsh absolutely deserves I'm a go I got two key so I got two here I'm gonna go with another wide receiver and Keith we're we're in the same game um and that's kj duff uh kj duff I'm a container how he's going to be one of the biggest um I was at one of the biggest like struggles when it comes down to the draft aspect of it just hey what are we going to do with the six six two hundred and thirty pound forty pound wide receiver kj duff he's having a heck of a season kj duff has been balling all year well he's just at six six to twenty five he's got he 29 and 49 50 yards receiving seven receiving touchdowns he's want to play four games and he has or at least one touchdown every game and out of the out of his four games he's got three um three games over one hundred and thirty yards not just a hundred three
games over one hundred and thirty yards the only game he didn't crack a hundred was against USC so for me Keith just you you're out there and this again you're going to see a Maori Pharaoh a well coach secondary and team for Indiana my biggest thing is go out there and play a great game because a lot of people are going to be there to see Charlie Becker you're going to be there to see Nick Marsh as I always say make them say make them remember you too make them have when they go back to the film I got to see how he went against one on one get those talented corners against uh Indiana be out there go dominate your your part of the matchup right you six six massive catch radius he's more fluid than than meets the eye but can you outrun some of these guys vertically can you get down the sideline create those explosive plays without you know a little chicken wing or a little push off here there can you separate vertically uh hey listen I'm I'm all four use to use some post moves I don't mind uh you know I mean go get the rebound big big fellow so
like talented player I can I don't know what we I don't know what the we're going to do with him come draft time but right now he's hoping he's playing outstanding ball right now Keith you look 100 percent I'm gonna name off this last player real quick DPR guy but I know we both like um and it's not because of big matchup and honestly last week they got completely blown out but I'm talking for strictly uh draft stock perspective uh because he I think back to back week he kind of had nagging injuries and that's Mario Craver uh while we see what protects the I think this guy has first round abilities DPR and we've compared them to Zay flowers I just think now he has to and listen we documented the Marcel Reed struggles with accuracy and things like that I just think that the production is going to have to catch up to be able to you know make the case forward right um you know against Kentucky DPR when he 11 receptions for 119 yards right so will they be able to consistently feed him the football I believe they play Arkansas this week I believe his Arkansas so yeah this this is a offense that I mean this is a defense that you're looking kind
of get off a little bit right um you can have some production put up some points things like that catches so I'm looking at Mario Craver because he's a guy that like you said we have a lot of those big party wire receivers but those just true electric threats he's one of those guys and so I'm looking for him to have the production because I want to say hey look I told you all this guy first round type of prospect would start stop ability electricity pump returns kick returns every slot all the things that you want he can do that yeah no I like that Kida I'm gonna close it out real quick with one mentioned cam cook running back for West Virginia 5 9 203 on the season 510 yards three rushing touchdowns and he's come up a game against Oklahoma State 29 carries 193 yards transfer from Jacksonville State last year and the reason why I'm highlighting him is a make a statement player this running back class we don't know what it is I don't know I don't know or believe that my hearty may even return this year because we're already in the week five Kiwan Lacey's banged up with
the with the shoulder injury and everything Jaden Bosn in the realm by himself this is an opportunity for Cam Cook to make a name for himself as he continues to play well for the West Virginia Mountaineer so they have a match up against Iowa State on the road go out there and just continue to put up numbers because that's going to force people to check out your tape yeah I like the DP and I agree with you that there's running back situation is the toss up right now outside of who backs at Texas right but you really diving to the room yeah how high can I take you you know all of those different situations you got our guy at LSU right there's quickly emerging you know yeah yeah don't jump like a quench on juck in slight so it's going to be very interesting to see how this plays out this is probably the position group DP that with the transfer portal moving around and everything that this is the one that's going to have to evolve as the season goes on right like it's going to be one of those situation but DP never wraps up another so man of de-locked on NFL draft podcast I want to end his podcast over by saying shout out to our every day is thank you
