Good morning, happy Monday, everybody. Well, that was a hell of a weekend. Holy cow. Football deliver, that's what it does. Thank you very much for joining us. I am Mark Miller, joined this morning by Jake Miller on the other side who, on top of watching a little football, did a little fishing over the weekend. Are you ready to go this week after a weekend of recreating at a high level? Not gonna lie, I'm pretty tired. Wasn't much sleeping in, but for the best reasons possible.

1:00Great company up in Nagzad, North Carolina, did some Marlin fishing, watched some football, ate plenty of tuna, and caught a couple white Marlin. It was a, it was a pretty darn good weekend. Football was amazing. The SEC delivered on Saturday and the NFL delivered pretty much all day yesterday until the wee hours of the night. Yeah, no, there's no doubt that that, that was the ticket last night, that's for sure. Terrific game to finish off the pro football weekend. One more left tonight, the Monday night game tonight, obviously. So we'll have that to talk about, but the big game of the weekend was obviously LSU and Ole Miss. And many of us, including the two hosts of this show, thought that, well, it was going to be time for LSU and Trinidad Chambers

2:00without a coach to talk in his ear, was going to not have enough. Here's the thing, we were wrong, because Trinidad Chambers was spectacular. They ran in through a little, little wall there in the, that third quarter. It's like it happened in the third quarter, especially. But man, oh man, was he and were they terrific all night long, Jacob? Yeah, going into that game, if you were to ask me, if Trinidad had to be an NFL quarterback, I'd tell you, probably not. After that one, I think he might be a bonafide NFL starter. He is made leaps after an incredible season last year. He has somehow improved and he can throw the ball all over the field. His legs are spectacular. He is one of the most poised quarterbacks I've ever seen in my life. I mean, he just does not waver at all. And well, hotty, blank and totty. Yeah, how about that?

3:01I thought that was awesome. And I did too. I just thought it was hysterical that, you know, here he is, all glory to God, all this, that and the other, and look at, you know what, I'm someone who goes to church and you may not like the F-bomb, but that ain't breaking a commandment. No, no. And I mean, I thought it was going to be a blowout there after the first half. So shout out to LSU for making it a game, but man, did it seem like Trinidad was leaps and bounds the better quarterback in that game, did not like what I saw from Sam Levitt Saturday night. But we'll get to that a little bit when we can get to that now. But I mean, I'll tell you that I think that's a, a theme of the weekend of boy, and you know, we've known this for years, Jacob, this is nothing new. You don't have a quarterback. You got nothing to that.

4:03If you have two quarterbacks, you have none because I'm dealing with that with my ECU pirates, although we finally got a win. But gosh, pick to your one hour podcast for that. Yeah. I had to sneak it in there a little bit. But for the life of me, I don't know why Lane did it just throw the bag at him to bring him there because Sam Levitt ain't maybe tried and he didn't come. I don't know, which if he did, that's great for Chameless because I wish there was a whole lot more of that going on in college football right now. But I mean, time and time again, Levitt got, he looked like he was predetermined to run on so many plays. Look at that first down on the goal line at the end of the game. He had a guy butt naked in the back of the in zone and he was three step dropping out the pocket and run. I don't know if he was scared, nervous, or what it was, but he was not seeing the field well at all Saturday night. No, he was not.

5:03And look at it. I don't know. Hey, I have to be honest. How good is he? We don't know. Did we read way too much into that Clemson game? Well, after watching the Clemson North Carolina game and yes, Clemson did come back and we have plenty of time to talk about that down the road. I sent that out pretty early in the day to a few people. It's like, are we sure that LSUs that good because is anybody watching North Carolina against Clemson? Clemson's bad. So what I guess at the end of the day, what I came off most impressed with about Trinidad Chambers, I think you said it already, Jacob. His voice was amazing. He just seemed throughout the game to be calm. He just seemed to let the game come to him. He made all kinds of different throws. He threw on the run. He threw out of the pocket.

6:05He stepped up into the pocket. There wasn't a play that that young man didn't make and didn't do so with poise. And for as fast as we thought the LSU defense was, they didn't appear to be that fast against old Miss. And you know, Jacob, to kind of take your point and go in a different direction, no, we're not how, so not so sure how good LSU is after Clemson. You know, we are so sure of after old Miss beating LSU to flip it the other way. You know, though, might be a pretty good football team. Yeah. Loup, Loup, Loup looks pretty good. They got two studs there in the back field of that. That quarterback can get it done. I just fear they're going to have to outscore a lot of opponents to win probably, but their schedule gets pretty light. We'll get to that coming up in a little bit. But all in all, I thought it was a terrific weekend for football. And I am not going to get outside of the sunshine state for very long because we told you that LSU and old Miss would dominate the media, would dominate the college football

7:08talk, not only for Saturday, but into Sunday. But here in the sunshine state, there was a game that we were certain was big for both programs. And yeah, yeah, at the end of the day, Auburn scored a bunch of points. And I don't know how good Florida's defense is because let's be honest. If you can't stop Brown, the quarterback there from Auburn, who had 32 before the garbage time touchdown, okay? So yeah, I got to 39. I never felt like Florida was not in control of that football game. And congratulations to the Gators. They deserve all the accolades for a really nice road win. Like seriously, I am not taking anything away from them. We'll pump the brakes before we start talking about Ole Miss because again, that was 39.32 before the one that maybe didn't matter. But the Gators looked good. Their offense looked good. We talked last week about the fact that Alex Goldis didn't score a lot of points when

8:10he beat power 14 when he was at South Florida. Didn't do it against the Gators last year. Only scored 18 in that win. Well, the Gators said you would need a few more than 18 on Saturday because Philo was throwing it around. Had a couple of fun plays over the course of the game. Run the damn ball. You loved him before the season. I mean, the fullness closure. Jacob, who's your least favorite college football team? The University of Florida. Right. By a lot. Who did you say was the... Pound for Paul. The best running back into the country. Jaden Ball. Yeah. He is an absolute freaking stud. And by the way, they got two guys on the outside that are absolute problems for almost every secondary in the country. They're going to put up points all year long. And I know that makes Gators fans really happy. They love them some points. And they're going to get a lot of them this year. That offense is spectacular.

9:10Love to see the defense just improve slightly because that's going to be a dangerous team coming down the stretch. And they were by far the way more physical team in that football game too. Yes, they were. Defense has a lot of work. I will say early the defense look... I mean, the defense looked good for a while. It got some stops. It was doing some hitting. But Auburn, you know, both schools kind of figured out offensively what to do. But yes, I mean, the offense, the offensive line looked good. It blocked really well. It pushed Auburn around for most of the game. The receivers, as you mentioned, you have VB3 there. He's a stutter. VB2 rather that can play. I like this Gator team. I like their play calling. I like the way they run the football. And I know you as a Georgia Goldauk fan watch the game and went, oh boy, this game, this game in Atlanta could be a problem. I've been terrified for two weeks now. I mean, absolutely terrified of the Gators, which I don't know if I've said that in 10

10:15years. And you know, we do have to get to it because obviously everybody played over the weekend. And one was Friday. The Canes got it done. It was Wake Forest. It was sloppy. They didn't cover. They didn't score as many as we thought they were going to. But it was a lousy weather day. And they took care of business on a Friday night on the road. Is Wake Forest that good? No, but they're not horrible. And sometimes when you get put in those positions with bad weather and things of that nature, you can slip up. They did not. They did not. I obviously thought they were going to score a whole lot more. That was one of my picks on Friday. But I think Wake Forest is a very trappy team. They might catch somebody this year in the ACC. But I don't think there's any reason to worry if you're a hurricane fan. Your schedule is really easy. You have two front runners in the high's been race. You're going to be fine. But Ole Miss jumping up in the polls and deservedly.

11:19So, you know, Texas, I will say, Mark Sinnoh on the show said, look, Texas isn't going to steamroll UTS, essay. They're just not. They're coming off a huge game. You know, they won 30 to 6. They were fine. You know, the polls looked relatively similar. Obviously with LSU drop in. But there were some games. And we will get to them later on in the college football world that may have gone a little squirrely. And we'll get to all of that. We'll talk Sunday on the other side. Oh, was it a rough day for the state of Florida? We knew that the Miami Dolphins were going to get goat rodeo. That was obvious. But we did. And surprise, surprise. Get ready for the draft, everybody in Miami because your team's not good. Jacksonville and Denver, I thought played. I mean, that reminded me of a game as my daughter would say from the 19s. Because that was a slugfest. That was a good football game.

12:21I'm not at all. I'm disappointed that Jacksonville couldn't finish it. But give Denver credit, I thought that was a really well played, really hard. Fought football game. And Denver wanted home. They made more plays. Their quarterback made more plays than your quarterback in the end. And they both had a horrendous interception. But they, I thought there was a pass that Trevor made or could have made that didn't get done. But at the end of the day, Tampa is who we need to talk about. Holy cow, did they spit the bit? 14:24If you're catching on some YouTube and Twitch right now, it might be the only way to catch us. Having some serious satellite issues. Nothing like that. Having things that worked on Friday, not work on Monday, but on the phone with everybody under the sun. Nothing like having to text and call people at 450 in the morning. There's nothing quite like that to try to see what the hell is going on. And I don't and I and this is where a one man band puts you in a real bind for what it's worth. But right now, it looks as if the only way to.

15:25Do this show is. Is via is via the old YouTube and Twitch because I'm being told in different ways that it's it's not working. And I don't know what the hell to do. So that that's where engineering 101. You know what else isn't working the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are now all in two. And that means they have an about an 11% chance to make the playoffs. And for what it's worth now, I think in Lanna's pile of horse done, but Carolina scored what upper 30s against they lost. I scored upper 30s against Chicago who I mean, what a weird week we lost, we lost Caleb Williams. You know, I mean, there were some goot and we lost Daniels, both quarterbacks hurt Williams with the hamstring, the dislocated elbow for Jared Daniels. So that is obviously.

16:29Daniels for those quarterbacks, those teams and all of that stuff, but focusing on the Bucsier just for a moment, they had trouble moving the ball against the Browns. And I don't know for the life of me how you can look at what's going on and really hope that it's going to just get better overnight because that offense was stagnant. Baker was bad. There is no, no denying to me what was going on with that team. And Baker missing receivers all night long. He was impressively bad. The Bucs O line is atrocious. Where did that come from?

17:29I don't get it. I love the center. I mean, I actually, like, were supposed to be an elite tackle. They've got both guards back and they can't block. No, I so far through two games, Baker may have field has been sacked seven times. That's 20% of the sacks he had last year. He got sacked 36 times last season. He's a fifth of the way there. We've played two football games. That is not a good sign leading forward. And for the Browns fans, at least you got Casey conception on. He looks like he might be a stud. But I mean Watson turned back the clock. I don't know how much of that was the Bucsier or the Sean, but. Oh, it's rough and tamper right now. Yes, it is. And you know, look it. I don't know. You know, I mean, people in the chat room saying the defense is what worries them. I mean, really? You gave up 23 points.

18:30You held them to a bunch of field goals. Yeah, they scored two touchdowns late, but it's not the, I mean, I will say, where were the concerns with the defense going into the season? Well, they were real. They were definitely real. And it was what? The secondary and the secondary was downright terrible again. The past rush isn't very good. I think how many sacks? I don't know if you've got it in front of you, Jacob. But did they have more than one? I remember one. They did too. They had to. Okay. I was trying to figure out if there was more than that because I don't, I only remembered one. And they, they just, they could not, they, from a, that's the part that concerns me. And we knew there, we knew their defensive backfield was suspect. It was lousy.

19:33Getting the Browns to get that butt naked that often is a horrific sign going forward. Oh, I mean, thank the Lord, they play in that division. So, you know, you'll at least get two wins against the Falcons. But I mean, they're probably the third best team in that division comfortably right now. I, I, I think I'd take the Saints and the Panthers over them without a second thought. Well, and, you know, look at the Saints. They obviously they were a two point conversion away from being beating Detroit and being undefeated right now. They went into Baltimore. Baltimore. Who, I mean, I know I hate playing this game, but let, just let me, let, hear me out. Baltimore who annihilated the Colts who just went to overtime with Kansas City. So New Orleans goes in there and beats them. Now, you, it's tougher to do with Carolina because they lost to Chicago in a game in which they gave up 59 points and then they played Atlanta.

20:36Atlanta could be one of the worst teams in the league. If I'm going to make quick observations about the national football league right now, the Atlanta Falcons look to be a bad football team because you know who else is a bad football team and we have more time to get on this later. The Pittsburgh Steelers and they were able to beat Atlanta because Pittsburgh sucks. They're the Jaron Rogers is washed, okay kids? If that's going to get better, okay, we'll see. So there's, you know, there's a lot there, but just Tampa, they didn't run the football well. They, they were, I mean, to me, they were not, they were not an adequate football team to think of as a division winner. Can they get better? Absolutely. It's only two games in. I think we had three teams a year ago that started our 0 and 2 that made the postseason. So don't stick a fork in them just yet. But as far as the bucks last night or yesterday afternoon, you know, a buck 37 Cleveland had

21:3744 rushing yards. I forgot to say that. How do you lose to a team that's that one dimensional in offense? A bad pick did part of it. Yes. A bad interception. I mean, Baker couldn't hit an open receiver yesterday on that last play. I mean, look at on that last play. I know we waited six hours to get to that two minute warning and I could spend the whole show talking about how great technology is now how we know if a lightning strike hits an ass, but we've got to take breaks when the lightning strikes 10 miles away from the stadium, holy Saturday. We'll get to that coming up in a little bit. But goodness gracious. He, I mean, the announcer's talked about it throughout the game. Baker did not, it was funny because he's like, man, he's missing everybody at Long Balls and then he catches the one long pass that he made. And after that Baker never hit anybody else. Baker Baker and I am like the president of the Baker Mayfield fan club. I love the way that the guy plays. He's hard knows. He runs.

22:37He sticks his head in there. But how about completing the pass when you need to? Yeah. And it was both ways on the misthrows. It wasn't just over throws. It was under throws too. So it does not look pretty there right now. And yet two Florida teams this weekend caught the bad end of a lightning delay. And I'm right there with you because I don't know how many people have been struck by lightning during a football game. None. By the way, there was somebody that did a whole thread on it on X. None. They talked about it on the cover three podcast. It was not one zero. Not zero. So I look at the Jacksonville thing like I'm looking at Jacksonville going, all right, there are there are some things I'd like to see the Jags get better at. They had an opportunity to finish that off and didn't do it in the second half. But and they need to be able to run the football as well. But that's a good football team they played yesterday. That's an elite defense in Denver that every part of their deep in the Jags defense played

23:42well. You know, had opportunity to second half couldn't get it done. But I'm not worried about the Jags at all. I'm really not the Bucks. That's a whole different story. Man, it's been it's been a morning already kids. I got to tell you, but we starting to Tampa to Sean Watson through to touchdown passes Cleveland's defense. Well, they held on after a lengthy weather delay in the Browns upset Baker and the boys 23 to 19 at the two minute warning. If you don't know this already, the game was suspended for two hours and 12 minutes due

26:49to lightning and then torrential rains when the game resumed the box had second down. They got a couple of first downs, but they were not able to punch it in. Mayfield's last throw to a book was high and wide and well, the box. They're rowing to and the Browns are one and one Denver. In a dominant fourth quarter to feed the Jags 20 to 13. Jonah Coleman three are touchdown run. As they were able to get 154 of their 392 total yards in the fourth quarter, they would score both of their touchdowns. In the fourth quarter, avenging their only home loss of the regular season last year, which was obviously to the Jags. Bohnick's 2231 for 288.

27:50He had a tidy and any I and T his I and T was bad, but Jane Wattle who had one catch for two yards in his debut had eight for one 38 Trevor 17 to 29 189. This pick was bad. Bohn's was worse, but Trevor's came in a much worse time and a bad field goal, I mean, not a bad field goal attempt. A field goal miss by Cam little who's been money from 54 yards and I'm sorry 54 yards in Denver's got to go in, doesn't it? I think so. I mean, that is especially with guys kicking 60 yarders now. Right. You can't do it in mile high. Thank you. And then what happened Denver would take its lead and not relinquish it winning the game. San Francisco all over Miami 35 to 13 Brock party three touchdowns Christian McCaffrey

28:52ran for two, including his 100th of his career in the route over the dolphins. The 49ers would score touchdowns on each of their first five drives. The last time they did that 1991 and they're 2 and 0 for the first time since 95 96 Malik 14 of 23. They got a touchdown late to make it look a little better than it was New England 20 to three over Pittsburgh Elijah Ponder had a sack and returned to fumble 19 yards for a touchdown on the defensive score for New England. I mean, Aaron Rogers was hit a lot. He was banged up. Dravy on Henderson scored the other touchdown on a 39 yard and run a couple of field goals as well. Drake May was eh, but he didn't have to be much better because well, Pittsburgh's offense

29:55looks like it's playing in 1995. When you watch all might be two recent. All the movement that these teams do pre snap and Aaron Rogers and McCarthy think they can run a pedestrian offense and you know, Rogers doesn't like all the movement. He's talked about it before. He looks old. He doesn't want to get hit. He will not hold on to the football and New England's defense is for real. I mean, they lost last week in a close one against Seattle, but that defense can play. Tennessee played hard, but not hard enough because Darius Cooper caught a three yard touchdown pass from Jalen Hertz with nine seconds left. Jacob, you could have hit Darius Cooper on that pass. There was no one within eight yards of him. 65 yard drive after Tennessee took the lead with the 33 yard field goal with 156 remaining. A big pass to devotee Smith was the key that got the ball to the three with 14 seconds remaining.

30:57Hertz, 26 to 37 for 264, two scores, two interceptions. You know what? He wins. You know what he is? The boring Baker may feel like Baker is exciting. Baker's fun. Baker gets up and gets in your face. You know what Jalen Hertz does? He just doesn't have really any emotion. And then at the end of the game, you know what else he does? He wins. Say Quad exit after the first play from Scrimmage with a stinger. He did come back in the third quarter. New Orleans big, big upset. 24 to 17. I'll tell you what, fourth and one, Baltimore punts. I've got notes. My notes are very random. I'll get to them later in the show. But my notes said Baltimore, fourth and one punts. New Orleans, fourth and one. They go for it and they win again on fourth and goal from the one and they would score.

31:5824, 17 as Taylor Schuck looking like a guy that might be a quarterback in the National Football League. Since the nanny on the road, a Jamar chase catch that you need to go see. It was impressive. He had seven for 75 in his 14th game with two or more studies. Burrow through both. Obviously CJ Stroud threw it for a million yards, but it wasn't enough for the win or anything else. Since the net his defense two weeks and a road looks pretty good. Chicago falls to Minnesota. Nine to three. Obviously the big story in that game is Caleb Williams coming off the field on a non-contact play. They say it's a hamstring. Let's hope so for the bear's sake and that it's only, you know, but hamstrings linger. You know, how long to keep them out when you come back just all things that the bears. They fumbled down on the goal line. That killed them and unable to get the win.

33:01Vikings were ugly, but they win. Green Bay was ugly, but the jets, well, they don't like to win. 20 to 17. Green Bay and overtime field goal with 523 left. Jordan loved through two touchdown passes. They were one for nine on third down. Their defense was terrific after all it was the jets. Carolina 34 to three over Atlanta. Bryce Young looked impressive, but it was against Atlanta. He threw for 287 and three tuddies in the win. Vegas 26 to 14 over the chargers. Mr. Harbob, Mr. McDaniel, Mr. McDaniel, Mr. Harbob, you two seem to be getting along really well because Justin Herbert was 15 of 27 for 192 had a touchdown to picks as the radius when getting a turnover with less than four minutes remaining. Harbob, 0 and 2 for the first time ever, college or pro.

34:04That's a hell of a stat right there. Wow. Seattle pound in Arizona 31 to 7. The Seahawks are for real kids. Dallas 37 to 20 over Washington, Dak. Now the all time leader in touchdown passes. He did so on a pass to CD Lamb and the fourth to break Tony Ramos, Mark. And then last night in overtime, great game, Kansas City 33 to 30 over Indianapolis. Mahomes through for 382 and three touchdowns Walker had a buck 17 on the ground. Kelsey had nine for 101 as he turned back time and his wife was happy watching. Tonight the Rams are a seven point favorite hosting the Giants and speaking of the Giants. Long time executive Ernie Accorsi died. The team announced on Sunday. He was 84 years old. Old Miss moved up to four in the AP top 25 after its revenge win against Lane, Kiffin and

35:04LSU. Texas still number one. Origin number two, Notre Dame three Indiana four, the Keynes or five Ohio State. Indiana five, the Keynes or six Ohio State seven, Bama is eight BYU is nine and LSU dropped from seventh to 10th. The Gators 21 after the road win against Auburn and M dropped from nine to 23 and should be taken off of the pole after the game against Kentucky and Mississippi State with the big win on the road going back to back on the road. They beat Minnesota on the road and pounded him came from behind with a great second half in Beats, South Carolina. Baseball the raise five to one over the socks. Their lead is now six in the division. San Diego a seven three win over Miami. San Diego wanted fifth straight. They're 13 and one in their last 14 games and now tied with Chicago for the top wild card spot in the NL.

36:05Philadelphia there are game back in that wild card spot of those two teams. They beat the Mets seven to two Pittsburgh four to three over Kansas City. The Cubbies nine one over Cincinnati PCA. It is 45th home run of the season. He's now tied with Shorber for the lead in Major League Baseball. Cleveland behind Gavin William seven shut out innings. Beat the athletics one to zero. They are on top of the AL Central. Chicago keeping pace. They beat Detroit in Atlanta for two over Houston. Houston now trailing in their division. St. Louis five three over Washington Toronto beat Texas. But despite the loss Texas still with a one game lead in the division. Minnesota eight zero over the Angel Seattle two one over Colorado. The Dodgers three to one over San Francisco. They are four games ahead of Atlanta for the two seed. The Yankees fell yesterday eight to four to Arizona. No one are not.

37:06Hit his third grand slam of the season. The debacks with their league leading 47th come back win slim chances however to make the wild card. They are five games or four games behind Philadelphia was six to play and Milwaukee. A three zero shut out over Baltimore. There are two games ahead of the Dodgers. They've already matched last year's win total of 97 which was the best in Major League Baseball. That's right. NASCAR. I'm going there. Joey Legato wins. That's not the story.
