Let's welcome in our panel. We got Corey Burton from Locked On Vandy. We got Brandon Olson from Locked On Gators. We got John neighbors from Locked On Razorbacks. I'm Chris Gordy. Locked on SEC and we're going to run through this SEC week 5 slate that wasn't as sexy. Maybe a few weeks ago, but you'd stop and look up and some teams much better than maybe we thought some teams worse than we thought causing some drama. So we'll get into all that. What I remind you guys today's episode brought you by Fandall. Make this your most rewarding season ever with Fandall rewards club. Every week check the Fandall app to see what is waiting for you and guys before we get into the matchups. Let's do as we do every week around this time. Give me a prediction or something you want to see from your team this week Corey. Okay, Corey frozen let's go to well, I want to see us have a little bit of life. Go ahead Corey.
Alright, so Corey's having some internet issues. What him one figure that out Brandt give me a prediction on the Florida Gators. This I just want to say this watch is indicative of the slate that we have this Saturday. But the thing my prediction that I want to see I got it out. You know, I guess it's belt time. That's a Florida Gators belt to ask Missouri Tigers. Keep it going. It's it's wild. I mean, to if you were to told me a few weeks back Florida is going to be a top 10 team. I want to know what the hell happened. I mean, I thought they'd be better, but I mean, we were thinking, you know, eight and four at best for John Summer, only your one and we'll see what as the season goes along, but certainly much better than we expected. John neighbors, give me a prediction for your squad this week. Probably another one possession loss to Texas A&M on the road because that's what they do. Not just in general, but against Texas A&M.
This series has been really stupid. It's been great that Arkansas has always competed against them. I gave him last year Arkansas lost by a field goal and gave them all that they wanted, but they still lost. And Arkansas has only beaten him once since 2011. And it's down at college station. I know everybody's like, oh, the Aggies man, the struggle is a terribleness and everything. Well, the raise your ex have not won an SEC football game since October of 2024. So until they do, I'm not going to predict them to win an SEC game. But this could be with all respect, one of the worst games in the SEC this season. Like there's potential for it. Neither team can do very well offensively or defensively or anything really. So yeah, it's probably just going to be a real slobber knocker of like a, you know, 12 to 5 final score or something like that. But I guess I'm going to go. Yeah, wait a wait a cell us on that one neighbors. I'm now in the jazzed for it. Now, what am I, what am I supposed to do? Like how can I sit here and win all seriousness and be like, let me tell you why you need to tune in to ESPN 2 at 6 p.m.
Which by the way, I love the fact that it becomes like, this is the worst slate ever. Well, when Arkansas gets a prime time game. So that's great. You know, that really sets the tone there. But it's like, what do you want me to say? Arkansas's offense is hinging on one thing and it's Chris Marshall. Arkansas is dead last in the SEC and rushing yards per game. There are 136th in the country. And I'm pretty sure the two teams that they're ahead of run the air raid. So it's not exactly like you can go on the road and feel good about a team winning a game against anybody. But especially in the SEC when you can't run the dad gum ball. When you said they had one of the SEC games since I was very prepared for you to talk about when they beat Florida in 2023 and games. I was very prepared for that one. Yeah, no, unfortunately for you that they've actually won one two three since then. So yeah, I mean, they've really come around here. You said since October of 2024, this game will take place on the first weekend of October 2026. So two years to the day.
But don't you feel maybe a little bit better seeing what an M has looked like these last couple of weeks. Just getting demolished by LSU getting beat by Kentucky. Like, do you think, okay, maybe there's a chance Arkansas can play well enough? To get a win at college station? Why though? Like Arkansas has just gotten smoked by Utah on the road. They got handled by Georgia now. Grand I think Utah and Georgia are really good. Two good two really good teams, but it was deeper than that. Like again against Tulsa, you won the game. You won by four touchdowns. That's great. But you still again, you can't run the ball. And if you can't run the ball, how can I feel good about it? And I like KJ Jackson, but he's not suited to go out there. And throw for 500 yards. It's just not what he's built for. And Chris Marshall, who is leading the SEC and receiving yards, he has like half the yards, half the yards of the passing game. And so for to me, like if I'm an M, I'm like, hey, maybe stop this guy named Chris Marshall. And you'll probably stop the offense.
I think Arkansas's defense will do okay. But until I see them be effective in all of this. And here's another fun stat for you. Chris Marshall has 473 yards receiving. If I'm not mistaken, that is 122 yards more than the entire raise your back football team combined in rushing yards. So they have some issues there until they break through until they get the offense going until they stop rolling right with a left handed quarterback for some reason. It's just hard for me to think that they're going to get it going. Well, we've spent a lot of time on this match up. But look, it's the six o'clock game on ESPN 2 nationally televised. Like if you're walking into a dinner reservation on the bar in the restaurant, there will be Arkansas and it is the game because there's no other big SEC game that night. The only other one is LSU McNeese from the conference. So that's that's the one we'll have to get up for. So give me a prediction real quick, John. Does Arkansas get it done?
I think I told you my prediction of 12 to 5 would be the final score. I mean, listen, it's I'm not sitting here and saying that if Arkansas won this game, that it would be the upset of the century, like it's not hard to look at a an M because I know that people in an Aggie land are freaking out because they think that they stink. And it's kind of like I've talked to some A and M people here too and it reminds me of like, imagine that, you know, I've been over here in hell for seven years. And then the person walks into hell in the first day. They're like, wow, this is terrible. How am I going to leave like this? Mike, hey, welcome to the party. So you A and M fans out there that think that you have it so tough because this season, imagine being a Razor back fan. So it's not impossible to think that Arkansas could win this game. But again, how can I say that they will? It's on the road. It's at night. And M is a better team. They're not great, but they are a better team. And until they win an SEC game, I'm not going to predict them to win an SEC game. Period. I have no, no ties to Arkansas at all.
And John, you make me hate my life on behalf of Arkansas. I throw that out there. Well, I was going to say the well, it was an, and I know that people say similar things, especially when I come on these squad shows and everything. But I'm like, because y'all don't know, you just don't know you're over there enjoying life. You're over there in the, in the champagne room. Meanwhile, the Razor back fans are in the corner and by themselves eating crayons. Like it's like, they're so far away. And because I'm here now with Arkansas, wipe them before Michael, but you know, you look, you know, sometimes tiresome is even the way we use it. You know, go and go and go, go. You can see, you know, there's this game too. It's like, if I would just say that the would have knocked my points, but they would have knocked my points. read a book for once in your life and understand how bad it is here in
Razor back land. I'll just give it eight. A secondary was not good against Kentucky relish you. So if Chris Marshall's getting open, Arkansas is going to score some points. And we'll see if Marcel Reed can can get after it and look like a decent quarterback. But you're right. Run game crazy. I mean, but we're for a month into the season. Rayland Russell's got 96 yards. Sutton Smith's got 85. Like what are we doing here? Um, Arkansas, let's get it together. So look, sorry for A&M fans, but I think we're all team Arkansas this week. We're rooting for the hot. Let's go get it. Absolutely. Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah. Let's let's jump to another game here real quick. How about Kentucky at South Carolina? Looks like Corey is trying to get back in here. Uh, Kentucky is in the top 25 there. Three and one South Carolina, two and two. If you guys followed the news this week, obviously Dylan Stewart is suspended by the SEC for punching a player in the Alabama game. Uh, uh, gamecock fans are like completely out of chain beamer right now. Uh, do you guys like
Kentucky? It's a tough win for a road game for Kentucky. Do you guys think Kentucky gets it done? Yeah, absolutely. I mean, South Carolina coach by Shane Beamer. I don't know what this whole like, oh, yeah, no, we totally believe in Shane Beamer. No, you never could. He's just not good. Again, I've said the bar is the guys that have played Billy Napier or coach skins Billy Napier multiple times and never won. There's two coaches on that list. Shane Beamer is one of them. So I just, I have no faith in that program right now. I looked forward to Florida being the game to get some fired though. Yeah, Corey, what do you think on Shane Beamer? It's funny. It's, you know, I've had several buddies of mine who are Tennessee fans or Florida fans that are like, oh, yeah, good wanting to see beamer fired. I said, well, actually, wouldn't you want beamer to win this one? So he does just enough to keep his job and keeps hanging around. Oh, no audio Corey, we got your video back. Corey, we got work
on getting your audio back. Neighbors, what say you Shane Beamer? You think he is gone after this season? Yeah, I mean, I don't know how anybody can sit there and say, hey, this guy's got it going on. This guy's got to turn it around. He's had plenty of chances. And it's like, I know that this day and age is really vastly different from what it was years ago as far as, you know, how long you have a coach, but he's been there quite a while. So it's not like, oh, you know, you got to wait for him to have some time. He's been there a while. He's had some success. I actually liked the Kindle Braille's higher at the time. But jeez, dude, it's the wheels are falling apart. And I'm just, I'm just hopeful for him to get fired by the time Arkansas plays them at home. So that way, Kindle Braille's can be the interim head coach in exact as revenge against Arkansas and win that game and probably win the head coaching job. That's my prediction later down the road. We'll get to that point. But yeah, I just, I just think South Carolina is cooked and Kentucky's on a roll and I just don't see it happen. Yeah, I guess my audio is back now. This new studio, new problems. It's great. Guys, my prediction is not
going to make Brandon very happy with what's going to happen with South Carolina job. I think there's going to be a fall crew. Okay. Can I just can we just can we just give her to him already? Guys, go on to your check running is a V now, we got to worry about come on now. Yeah. Yeah, no, I think that what I said, unless everyone out there is a master lip readers, but I said that the decision on Shane famous already been made and there's really nothing I don't think he can do except for decide whether they want to fire him now or later or at the end of the season, like that's just kind of where rat, the wheels have wheels are off and the vehicle is steering into the into the ditch here for for South Carolina is not good. That dumbest tour thing is that situation is very indicative of what's going on there. It's it's bad. It's real. Yeah, once you lose the respect of one of your star players, it's it's hard, man. I mean, he's doing what's right, like right, like the SEC suspended him
then he said he's indefinitely suspended him after that. Yeah, look, Dylan Stewart, I think most people think he's going to be a first round pick no matter what anyway. So he may have played his last dance. I'll see where that can I ask a question about that real quick? What happens first? Dylan Stewart is eligible or Shane Beamer is fired? Yes. Well, let me give you guys the timeline here. So South Carolina's lost to an arrow. They play Kentucky this weekend. If they lose that one, Brandon knows well and good next week is South Carolina in the swap. That is the buy week. So if they lose for an arrow, I feel like going into that buy week. That's when the change will be made. Yeah, well, first of all, quick side note, can we stop with the homecoming thing like if that matters? Like can we stop with that crap? Is it like, well, I didn't think they're going to look about it's homecoming though now. So it's like, I know what you know, if it's 1982, we're hoping that the atoms are
going to make a bowl game in front of the, you know, the boost there on our own barriers, highs, many year, they're going to beat the crap out of them. It's fine. Okay, we'll say that instead of homecoming, I guess if that's okay, John, you know what? Right in it. Yeah. All right, what we're talking guys, we'll get to the other big matchups in the SEC happen in this week and more squad show we're along next. Oh, that smells lucky. Hilton's unmatched hospitality can keep up with any superstition, even a marching bandwink up call it 5555 seconds. Hit it. When you need a team that will do whatever it takes on game day, it matters where you stay. Hilton for this day.
Our vowsers would dive back into it with our SEC squad. Let's get to a Corey's game. It will be Vanderbilt versus Georgia. And obviously, well, these are two teams that are close to Corey. So he was locked on Vandy, but those Georgia very well. We kind of interesting as we saw the injury report come out, Wednesday night that for Vanderbilt, my eyes are watering here. Jared Curtis listed on the questionable list, but also Nate Frazier for Georgia. I got a thing. I mean, questionable Wednesday, still time to be able to be good to go. But what's what are you hearing on Jared Curtis? I'm hearing, I mean, it's just one of those things where he's just kind of banged up and getting treatment and they're just, you know, they're seeing if anything is serious, but they're expecting to play. I guess the question is can Vandy keep it close at all? Because we've seen Georgia has looked like one of the most impressive teams so far
this season. Yeah, I mean, that's the biggest, I mean, for Vanderbilt, if they can open it up a little bit, let Jared Curtis operate, they could probably keep it close. Now with Georgia, I it wouldn't matter what the scenario is for Vanderbilt. I think Georgia's just been doing that to people all year long. So, you know, I think Vanderbilt, if they play any shred of what they played like against Auburn, then it'll be over by half time. Yeah, 24 and a half betting line. So it's, I mean, it's wild as good as Nate Frazier is. Georgia's like, yeah, we don't need them. Choncy Bowens, you know, we got weapons everywhere. Gunner stocked in. I mean, it's wild to look at him. But certainly look, Vandy, you start three, you know, the miracle, you know, touchdown in the end zone against NC State. But here's a chance where the slide begins, Corey, you lose it Auburn, you lose to Georgia, you start to look back and go, oh, can Vandy get the six wins this year? Yeah, I mean, what's frustrating is the Auburn game was very, very winnable. And they squandered it
away. I mean, that's the frustrating part because Auburn didn't exactly like the world on fire. And Vandy had chances in that game all throughout that game. And they just couldn't capitalize and that was that was one that was supposed to be one of the wins. And then, you know, Georgia's going to, you know, do what Georgia does. And then you get Ole Miss and then you get, you get Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi State. And then then the then the gators are up next. So that's going to be it's a tough stretch, man. It's it's a tough stretch. I'll say that. John, I wasn't going to say, John, you saw Georgia first hand. Are they the most one of the most impressive teams you've seen this year? Lock me. Yeah, because it's like they've like, here's the thing about them though is like, I don't know if this is just sheer luck or whatever. But and this is nothing, no insult to Van der Rill anything. But it's like they get to face and Georgia has got the face to three like worst offenses in the SEC in three straight weeks. Like you're talking about like Arkansas, Georgia, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt. Like they're just
not great offenses right now. So I mean, I'm like, I think they're very impressive. But I'm trying to not try to look ahead. But man, that game against BAM on the road where they actually go up against an offense. That's when I'll kind of know. Like that's when I feel like I'll know more about it, if Georgia's as good as average as because they are really good. But I also didn't look at him when Arkansas played him and just be like, Oh my goodness, this is just a jug or not that cannot be beat. They just haven't really had to face a competent and high level offense. And who knows? Maybe I know it's accidental. I've been maybe they're overlooking the good BAM. I don't know. Just trying to find ways. But you know, I'm hopeful for that for Van der Rill. I mean, it's, it's, you know, if they're overlooking them and Van der can get some stuff together like some offensive lines of they can find a wide receiver too. Like they could, they could be sneaky. But and that's a, that's a very tall order. That's a very tough task there. Yeah, I showed it to Georgia though real quick, because they, not only that they have that, that they still get to play Auburn who has an awful offense and then South Carolina, like they get, I try to say
they're lucky. But it's like they, they got some pretty good scheduled games there as far as showing off their defense. Look, A&M got the look of the draw schedule wise. Last year, Texas got it two years ago. So again, it's, it's all sick, uh, you know, sickly, is that the word? What's the word? Sickle, sickle, sickle, sickle, sickle, sickle, or brain wet. Uh, Brandon, that's what you kind of smile on there. As we said, maybe Georgia, we don't know how good they are. And maybe that's good for Florida if they can keep running the table here. But let's talk about your game going to Mizzou, uh, a battle to rank teams, although a lot of people don't think Mizzou should be ranked. Um, I had somebody tell me really today, Brandon, they, they're picking Mizzou to pull off the upset at home, which is all Roberts Austin Simmons. Oh, no. Oh, no. Florida's so good. Are they going to hit a wall one week where they don't look this good? What's a you? Um, sure. At some point they will. I don't think it's this week. Um, I, I just, I'm from Missouri. Part of it for me is, I think they're tough to still gauge what they are defensively. Um, you're going
to have this object in ball in that offensive line. You're going to have to stop Duke Clark. And when you look at whom Missouri has played this year, you don't really get an answer for what they are defending the run, right? It's Kansas. They suck. It's Troy. They suck. It's Arkansas Pine Bluff. They're an FCS team. And then it's Mississippi State, which they're, they're great right now, right? But they're a brial spread veer and shoot wide choice. Whatever you want to call that offense, it's not what you're going to see in just about any other game. And so I don't think we've really seen what Missouri is run defense wise. Um, but I'll tell you this, nobody's even slowed down the Florida Gators rushing into that right now. Until someone can do that, I'm going to keep going with with the team that can run the footballs, you know, when the game. And yeah, Florida, good win this one. And I think they're going to cover the four and a half to I really like what watching Missouri, there was nothing that maybe go, oh, wow, like they have Austin Simmons doesn't have a pick yet. He put the ball in harm's way a lot. He just hasn't been forced to pay for it yet. Regression to the means he had to come
at some point. Let me ask you some real quick, Brandon is a Florida going to have a winning record at the end of the season? Yeah, absolutely. Then you're beating Missouri. Because as that stack gets thrown around, that's like when you like drink, which is not like beaten as a SEC team that finish with a winning record like ever. So you're going to beat Missouri. Playing it simple. Then I just won't even answer questions anymore, don't you? Just put your leg up. You'll both think Florida rolls to five and oh, yeah, I do. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think so. Yeah, I mean, listen, I'm jealous. John Somerolls a heck of a coach, man. And I think that they knew that and I have a feeling that the way things are going, he might be the new Spirier, which was a new urban Meyer, like, you know, it just takes a few warmups before they figure out who the coach is. But dude, dude's got it cooking right now and it doesn't look like he's still in down anytime soon. So I've always said, I'll see this on my way out. I'll say this on my way out because I got to do go do a crossover. John Somerolls, the psycho that Florida needed. Yeah. And he's
I think I think Mizzou's key though is can they get no shootout because I don't think Mizzou's defense can slow down Jayden ball, but can they score with Florida and win like a 34-31 type game? That's that's the recipe if Mizzou's going to pull that off. That would be more points for than that. Take the over. Yeah, for sure. Florida's in 40 again. So Mizzou, that's a nutter. See it. All right, fellas. When we return, we'll head on a couple of the other big games this weekend in the SEC. Well, the world was chasing trends. Even a marching bandwinkup call at 555 and 55 seconds. Hit it! When you need a team that will do whatever it takes on game day, it matters where you stay. Hilton for this day. All right, final segment, our squad show. A couple more games to touch on here, fellas. How about 230 Central 330 Eastern on ESPN? It is three in one Auburn at three in one Tennessee. Both teams coming off their first loss of the season. And I think the Tennessee thing I get like face on Brandon's a true freshman. We knew he was going to have a game where he didn't look great. Texas got after. What was it? Ten sacks. Absolutely crazy. And for the first time in your Tennessee couldn't run the football. Their defense looked pretty good. They Stein made arch, but on the flip side Auburn.
Where are we in Auburn? Man, like I was promised Byron Brown, high flying offense, Alex Goliage. Just haven't seen that yet. What do you guys think of it on this one? I don't think that should have been the expectation from them. Like Byron Brown, I know that people are always going to bring up that USF came into this one. Last year in Beat Florida and Byron Brown through a 65 yard and touched down against them. And that's a big thing. It's like that play is literally two Florida DBS. One DBS looking at the sideline as the ball is snapped. And then as they recover taking out the other DBS, like Byron Brown's not a good thrower of the football. In fact, if he was, they probably beat Florida. Honestly, they were quite a few times where Florida had a bit on a double move and there's someone wide open and Byron Brown just can't make the throw because he's not that good. That's what they are. I don't think anybody should have ever expected them to be great. You're going from the American going into the SEC and you're bringing American skill players with you with an American quarterback.
Year one was never going to be when it really clicked. And that's not a knock on the American, because I mean, both of our coaches are from here, but it's not the SEC, right? And I think that that's that's the difference here when you take a lot of players from the group of five and then you try to bring them into the SEC. You're running the risk. It doesn't matter that you know the players. They're going up against a different competition. That matters. Yeah, I just listen, Auburn has not there's not really been anything about him that's been impressive. I know that like because I think people will see that final score that Florida game would be like, oh, whoa, they didn't watch it. Like you think that it was some sort of like high scoring affair back and forth and it just wasn't. And so it's like the win against Vaner, but it was disgusting. But they won. I mean, you got to get him credit and the Baylor game they won, but shoot if Baylor gets a two point conversion, it's a whole new game. So they've just not been impressive. And Tennessee, you know, I'm still trying to figure them out, but dude, the way that they gave it, they're all the Texas and held them to 20 points. I think it's worth some, especially in this games being in the Ellen Stadium. I think Tennessee rolls in this one pretty
heavily. Is that even close? Yeah, I agree. I also, I'm just interested to see the the Browse Fred versus Browse Fred show down there or Tennessee and Auburn. Like that's just a fun matchup to see. I can't wait for it to finish like seven, three. Is there anything to the hype ball and a goalish being together before like who knows who better and that kind of thing? I feel like maybe golish, but I feel like if someone has the advantage of like, oh, I know with this guy likes it probably be golish because golish was under hypo and so he had to do what hypo wanted. It wasn't necessarily a hypo knowing what golish wants to get done. It was the inverse. And so maybe, but either way, like, hypo has better football players and a better coaching staff around him and home field advantage. Like, I think they're going to kick the crap out of Auburn. I was not impressed with Auburn's defense when Florida played him outside of the scoreboard. I just even watching like leading up to the game. I was like, I don't get a DJ Durkin cool,
but that's more of a name than product that we've seen so far. Maybe that's why Zach Blackerby hasn't been on a squad show in a while. Yeah, I go running too. I do run into Xavier Acton's just too busy tweeting to go make a tackle out there. Got put his got his output and dirt multiple times happens. I'll just mention LSU's playing McNeese. There's the lone T playing in nobody, but it does sound like they were all banged up last week. Sam Levin was playing her. So it sounds like since they've already had catastrophic injuries, trade has green, wit weeks, they're going to play a ton of backup. So just whatever. Just mention in that because I think a lot of people are looking at this. Lane's brought up the nine game SEC slate. He said, you're going to see more and more injuries. So just something to keep it on this weekend. It's some big SEC date games. We have some more and more key injuries because you're playing nine SEC games. Are you playing the violin for that? Yeah, I don't care. It's the SCF football people get hurt. Like does it? Yeah, but I'm just saying, well, we didn't have to go to nine games could have stayed at eight.
Didn't have to but at the same time, that's a decision they made. Lane was part of that. That's a decision you made. You contributed to. I'm not going to feel bad for guys. You guys are like, oh, well, we thought this. Yeah. And listen, I'm I'll understand it too. Like I wasn't big on it either, but I also, I don't know. I feel like of all like of reasons to not go to a nine game schedule, like possible injuries is like number 48 of all of that because then again, yeah, it's football. You have we've seen people get hurt and fall camp spring. I mean, it's it sucks, but I just don't think of because you play that additional SEC game against Arkansas that suddenly that, oh man, the injuries are going to get elevated a little bit, but maybe there'll be some science behind it. Who knows? The thing I was getting to to on that is if they do rest Sam Levit, they're going to start landing Clark. He's the backup quarterback for him. I think Elon or something. Yeah. And a lot of LSU fans have come to love this kid and they're almost buzzing as is either next Trinidad, like the the small school backup and Lane system. So again, just maybe something to keep
an eye on there. We'll see what we'll see what else is like. I hope that they lose. I hope that they lose an LSU fans go to the next Trinidad and that they lose because he throws like four picks. I don't think they lose to make me see you. The three of us could suit up and beat them. Lastly, guys, the big game of the weekend, it is 11 am central from Starkville, Mississippi. It is number seven, Alabama at number 16, Mississippi. Stayed both teams undefeated and obviously both quarterbacks getting a ton of attention. Keelan Russell and Kamario Taylor have been the two, you know, two of the most exciting young quarterbacks in the SEC. Are you guys alike? I mean, is the home field advantage going to ring true for Mississippi state? I mean, listen, I'm rooting for Mississippi state because I like to see a poverty program succeed since mine can't. So I'm rooting for them to beat Alabama. But I'm also just excited because this is a this is you're hoping that it's an offensive bout, you know, you're hoping that it's
a back and forth. But the fact that it's in Starkville and Jeff Levy who is kind of of of course with the connected with the Kindle Braille's whole thing because it's his brother and mom or whatever. Like, I think that there can be some success there because Kindle Braille's a lot of times when they go up against some good Alabama teams, I know it's different now, but you'd have success offensively. So I think both these teams are going to score it well. But I do believe Bama is just better. I think that they have a more impressive win over Kentucky. You know, like that, that's a crazy it is being on the road and Lexington. That's a huge win. I think that they win. But I'm just hoping that this game lives up to the building because I really think even in a loss, Mississippi state and all those guys they could really look at it as like, man, they could be a team that could mess around a win like eight games if they've really played like close to this. So, but I think Alabama takes care of business. Yeah, I think there should be a lot of points scored. But the way that I'm thinking about it with two teams that I do expect to score a lot is which one's actually going to come up with a stop. And I think that's more likely to be Alabama than Mississippi
state. I want Mississippi state to win. But I think Alabama will. Yeah, I think I'm with you. I think Alabama probably wins a shootout, something in the 30s or something like that. But if they win, if Mississippi state wins, I think the title of Jaren's episode for Mississippi state on Monday should be, does Starkville have the best quarterback in the state of Mississippi? Because Trinidad Campbell's got all this shine. But if Camario Taylor comes out 5 and 0 to start the season, I think you're talking about me and people already falling in love with this kid. I also hate that we've already had all these articles written guys about, oh, they're going to have the NIL to step up next season. Like, that's we're not even in October yet. Like we're just getting in now. Can we settle down on the where is he going next year? Is he going to be the Miami Hurricanes quarterback? This is what I hate about the NILR. I agree that I hate this speculation part of it. I do kind of hope that he transfers not for an NIL purpose, but because that offense typically
doesn't really develop quarterbacks for the NFL. And I think he's got the juice and the goods to go play in the league. So I would prefer that he goes someplace that will develop not Miami. Gonna say that, not Miami. But I do think that he'll leave for developmental purposes. What do you think neighbors every little overboard with all the, oh, this kid's going to get a mill? Like, because I think on to be a little bit the blame with their valuations or like, oh, this kid's going to make 5 million next year. It's like, well, who's to say? Why won't let the market dictate that? Who are you to say he's going to get 5 million? Well, I mean, like we guys were in the business. Like, and I know that you guys have done podcast on this and everything. Like the numbers push. If it's portal stuff, it pushes, man, it hits. And it's it's getting to the point to where I'm sure there was one time in our history of college football love when somebody was bringing up a kid that's a junior in high school could be really good. And everyone's like, hey, just relax, buddy. All right, let him be, let him get to be a
senior before we start talking about this stuff. But it's because people knew what it hits. And that think that that's all it is. And it does suck. And I hate it. But it's like, what do you do? You know, because it's going to it's going to get people to click. It's going to get people to listen to it and to go along with it. So yeah, I mean, I hate it too. I wish there was a way that not do that. Like, maybe they could be some of like, hey, if media starts talking about it, it's tampering. I don't know. I don't think I can't do anything about that. But still, I think it's dumb. I think it's unfair. But what are you going to do? That's like, we're now. It is clicks. And now we have baby Grock, who is what seventh grade eighth grade? He'll be getting off virtual Sims. Yeah, yeah, he took a visit to Arkansas last weekend. Would he be your as best player right away? You know, it's possible. I don't even know what position he plays. I don't know. He had some like some video he made with a bunch of sorority girls on Arkansas. And I'm like, I was like, this is a microcosm of Arkansas athletics right here. It's like we're having baby, like we're
having baby Gronk come in with a laser light show against Tulsa in the rain. Shoot me. Let's take before we wrap up guys. One more quick look at the SEC and you're a parking pin on this Thursday and Friday. Alabama starting right tackle. Javin James questionable Nate Frazier at Georgia questionable chair Curtis and Vandy questionable Florida, Vernal Brown and Bailey Stockton to their wide receivers questionable. Darius Smith and Mizzou, Gabriel Brownlow Dindy at South Carolina, Steven Sewells at Arkansas, Mario Craver at A&M. So those are kind of the ones in them. We mentioned Wendell Moe at Tennessee out for the season. So there is your latest injury report. Fellas good stuff here on the squad show.
