In the Premier League, we have bets, corner bets coming to everyone. Fresh off some EFL cut matches and some Europa League matches. We're talking Thursday. There are still some matches going on in Europa League on Thursday.
But Chris, welcome in to Game Week 5. Thanks Adam. Yeah, you mentioned the League Cup games. There's a couple of spicy ones out there. This week, Man United lost from a loss one by two. I think they were up to within like 10 minutes and then Brighton came storming back throughout the next 80 minutes or so. That was an interesting result. Chelsea moved on. Liverpool moved on in a pretty good game against Tottenham. There were some other fun ones. Then, yeah, you mentioned we got a Europa conference league in Europa League. I think Bournemouth are playing today. We've got a Palace are playing today as well. Kind of a full midweek slate. Definitely affecting what we're going to do over the weekend. I'm interested to see. I can't wait to see some of the starting 11s that are trotted out there in the Europa League. Is it their strongest 11? They're trying to hold back a little bit for the weekend. Definitely, in fact, things as we move forward. That can definitely affect things as we move forward. Chris Rotowire.com slash soccer to get all of your needs.
Got an FPL article up on the front. We also get an article here about Jal Pedro. Jal Pedro is situation. Wednesday came out. The Brazil national team was like Jal Pedro is out for the international break because of an injury. This morning, this morning, Chabi Alonzo, Thursday morning was like, we're going to wait and see if he's going to be available Friday. We don't know if Jal Pedro is available. Guess what, Chris? We are still talking about Friday's game between Brightford and Crystal Palace. I think it's going to be a fun one. We've had some of these games that even the lead's Newcastle game Monday wasn't as exciting as we wanted to. Newcastles didn't really show up from the start. This one at the GTEC. So I were here at the GTEC. This is what we're talking about here. Brentford hosting Chelsea. Brentford are slight underdogs. You can get them about plus 171.80. Chelsea plus 125 to win.
What's your read on this game? As you were saying that, I was thinking about the Friday night football games and the Monday night football games. The Monday night football games have been increasingly more interesting to watch and a lot more goals. I'm just thinking I guess it was what, 4050 on Monday and then there was a Chelsea Brighton game in there that had a lot of goals. There's just been a lot more interesting Monday night games versus the Friday night games we had the opener we had. I think it was Liverpool and maybe Ipswich was another game. So the Friday games have been a little bit more tame, but I don't think there's really any data supporting to take less goals. More so than just what I am thinking out loud. But yeah, this is what I'm interested in here. Chelsea snuck through to the next round in the league cup. I like this one originally. When you look at the cheat sheet, this has the highest implied total with 3.42 goals.
That's along with the Liverpool Bournemouth one, which I thought was a little bit interesting. So Osmaker is expecting a lot of goals here. Kind of immediately gets you to over 3.5 plus 120. I think that one's just a little bit weary of a four goal thriller here. But when you look at it, I guess it is interesting who, Brentford are dealing with some central defense injuries here. So they'll start a couple of different guys. They have been dealing for a little bit. I guess Nathan Collins went off last weekend. I think with a pretty early in the first half, it doesn't look good. I'm just going to go for him this weekend. So they're missing him. Moises Ksato might miss another game here. He's questionable. So that kind of leads me to believe that maybe the Osmakers are baking that in for the over bet. But I like both teams to score an over 2.5. That is plus 105. So you're pretty much going to need a little bit better than even. Which is worse than the over 3.5, the four goals. But I just think both teams are going to score here.
And I think it'll be over 2.5. But I expect at least I get 2-1 or maybe even a 2-2 here. But I think that would, that's the route I'm going with this game. All right. Fallen up here at your Friday night football. Arsenal 3-0 against Coventry. Man City 4-1 at Crystal Palace. And then you said the Liverpool 2-0 against Ipswich. So some goals. Some goals. Yeah, some lobsided matchups though. Yeah. I think all of those were actually lobsided matchups. This one? Yeah. Not lobsided. I want to go in and say range is you. Similar odds actually. But it's just instead of over 2.5, it's Brent for double chance. Because I think I'm actually going to be taking. We'll see what the lineups look like. Brent for the win. Which is about plus 180 by itself. But Brent for double chance. Both teams score plus 106 odds. Kind of the same reason as you. The only difference is if it is 1-1, if it is in fact 1-1, we would hit this bet. But yeah, the read is kind of similar for you.
It's kind of a B squad in the back line for Brentford. What they had last week, they're two starting centerbacks are out. They've been mixing in a match in there. They're fullbacks a little bit. Importantly, I think they pretty much rotated their entire team because they did have a Monday EFL Cup game. I think that was Monday. Maybe it was Tuesday. And they pretty much rotated their entire team. So that has no effect. The bigger thing I'd say is that Chelsea. In addition to the Kaisato news, as you mentioned, like Jal Pedro, I don't know, the Chabby Alonzo quote is kind of cryptic a little bit. It was, we'll say he's 50-50. If he doesn't start, probably be Danny Welback. And Reese James apparently is dealing with something. He's always dealing with something. So if you remove some of these guys, if you start removing, if you're already down Kaisato, you start removing pieces here and there, they changed up there. Formation and squat a little bit in the game against Hall. That came into two for him.
So if you start changing things up, like if we get into this game and Jal Pedro and Reese James are out, I'll probably be on Brentford Moneyline. Though at that point, the odds will probably be moving down a little bit plus from 70 plus from 60. But I still think at this point, if you want to go Brentford Moneyline Friday night, Chris, under the lights at the G Tech here, Brentford have had a really good start to the season. And Chelsea's defense has been really bad. If you want to go to a point where you're Brentford over two and a half goals or something like that, I think that is also in play here because just what we've seen is Chelsea backline. Brentford over two and a half goals plus 285 odds. So a couple of bets in there for you. Yeah. I mean, if they're missing Reese James, Kaisato and Jal Pedro, that's three. There are probably six best players. There definitely effects what they're going to be able to do. Yeah, they just haven't figured out the midfield without Reese James. There's always these, sorry, without Kaisato. Yeah. It's been Reese James. It's been Lavia in the midfield. Yeah.
They brought in Barco. He's played in the Cup games. Gusto has started a game in the midfield as well. So they've had to change up some things. For the most part, defensively, it hasn't worked though. As we've seen, they can pretty much score on everyone. Saturday's games. We have five games Saturday. We have four on Sunday. There's a one that really stands out for us for Saturday's games. But I think maybe the biggest one, just in terms of the two teams, especially looking at the table, two teams at seem like they're going to finish in the top six. Top eight, maybe we'll say with Brighton here, but Brighton, Brighton Duplay on Thursday. I still want to talk about this one, but Brighton are in San Sebastian. Sorry, that's Bormeth. That's Bormeth. We're going to get into the, I'm getting the B's mixed up here. Brighton did have the Manchester United game on Wednesday, where they actually did rotate some. So you can look at that arsenal pretty much rotated their entire team because that's
what they can do. Brighton did rotate some, though 35-year-old Pasco Gross did go 90, that kind of a thing. They basically can't play without Pasco Gross. But you get a, just he's a player I love. He's so fun to watch. He's been doing it, just playing a straight, went to Dortmund, came back, still doing his thing. I got so much love for Pasco Gross. Just a weird situation of where the team still wanted him, but then he went to Dortmund, and then now he's back. I don't know. You can't put it into Dortmund. It's even in Dortmund. It's like, okay, I think it was two seasons. It's like, okay, he's getting old. He's got his career done, but now it's like, okay, Brighton, we need a midfield. Let's bring him in. Now he's starting a free game, and maybe they're most important. He's like, the goal on the weekend scores in the midweek, just like an absolute, you determine national team play the World Cup, like absolute stud. I love that guy. Can't stop him.
Brighton are still big underdogs in this game. Plus 350, Arsenal about minus 150 to win it. Injury situation. I don't think anything new, you could say, from the past couple weeks here for either team. We see it with more injuries. Is this a situation where Brighton can steal a point here? They're at home, steal a goal, or does the Arsenal clean sheet wagon continue on? Yeah. We've been banging the Arsenal clean sheet wagon. I custard away from this one mostly because I thought it was the corner's bets was perhaps maybe not the best bets, but the most intriguing. Both of the overs are set at 4.5 for these teams. They're expecting, which is almost never the case for Arsenal games. It's always Arsenal like 6.5, 7.5. The other teams are like 2.5 or 3.5 on the over-unders. This one was a little bit interesting. I think the Arsenal over 4.5 is minus 160, and the Brighton one is over 4.5 is plus
115 or so. They're expecting them to have about the same corner. It just leads me to believe, I just think what we've seen and how they played all season, they're not giving up any offensive opportunities to any of the teams that they're playing. I think it may be tough to get to 5 here, but I just think it's the best corners for this game. I like Arsenal race to 5 corners on this one. I should have written down the odds. I had them down here. I will come back to you on this real quick. I think they were about plus 150 or something like that. Double check. Sorry, I had to write down the score. Brighton, I've had some difficulties with Arsenal corners this season because they haven't gotten a ton of corners. They're actually near the bottom, maybe not near the bottom of the table, but they're kind of mid-table in terms of getting corners. I had a bet last week in addition to Arsenal of the win in a clean sheet, which I'm going to be taking again because even though Brighton's, I think they're XG, is near tops in the
league. I said last week, it's like at what point do we say, why should we stop taking Arsenal of the win with a clean sheet? Arsenal, Moneyline, No-1-Boke teams of score, that's plus 202 odds. It is a little different here at Brighton and they had to stop a PK yet, Thunderlin and Thunderlin at a latch, but they got the clean sheet. I think, as I said last week, just keep taking it until I don't know, their defense falls apart, something like that. You got the odds with the corners there? Yes, plus 105. It goes up a little bit more, it's definitely more intriguing, but I don't see a world in which Brighton has more corners than Arsenal. If we're going to race in a five, I'm taking Arsenal. I'm probably going to stay away from corners in this game. Here last week, I had a single game parlay with Arsenal race to three corners at Thunderlin and guess what? They had two corners and Thunderlin had... Actually, I was looking at the Ipswich game, but yes, they had two and then Thunderlin
had four and even in that mid-week game, Arsenal had two and Ipswich had three. We saw it last season for a lot of games, but Arsenal will get their goal, they'll be patient, they'll get their goal and then they'll sit back a little, they won't get the corners, the other team will rack up corners. I was actually thinking of Brighton corner bet and this one. You can get Brighton plus half a corner is about even odds in this one. If you think Brighton are going to have the same amount of corners or more corners, that would be one. That would just be like, okay, Arsenal will get the first half goal and then Brighton are putting on second half that kind of a thing. The more I hear you talk about this, the better case you make. I feel like for Brighton corners rather than the Arsenal corners, Brighton over four and a half is minus one or five. If you can go and find that at plus odds at a different book, a mom draft, things makes it even more intriguing than you said you had the plus half a corner is minus one-fifteen.
I still think those definitely seem more interesting, but I still think Arsenal are going to have more corners. Yeah, we'll see about that. We're going to see about that. Otherwise on Saturday, we have a few bets here. We're not going to really dive into all of the games, but one that stood out to me taught in our home against Asim Villa taught him. Still having scored. Asim Villa. I know they're scoring in non-league games, but I'm still kind of wondering how good their attack actually is. Niko Jackson was subbed off at 45 in the last league match. Under two and a half goals in that one is plus one-hundred. I think we're just getting pretty good odds given what we've seen from the Spurs attack here. Again, I know they got a goal in non-league play and had XG over two against Liverpool, but just in result in goals. Under two and a half goals in that plus one-hundred, I also think the odds for Everton to win minus one-thirty are pretty good home against Ipswich. Do you have thoughts on that Newcastle home against whole game?
Newcastle trying to revive themselves after the dropping they had? Yeah, yeah. I'm going to continue on my corners kind of. That's here, but yeah, they've had a total of, I mean, they've had, I guess no one's really had a tougher start to the season than whole in terms of who they play in Man United. The Coventry is about as easy as a matchup as it gets, but then you've got Ascentville and Chelsea. They had one corner against Man United, two against Coventry, which you'd expect them to have probably a few more. Three against Ascentville and four against Chelsea. They're averaging about two and a half corners of the game and then giving up about six and a half. I tend to go, they're under three and a half corners. Number is plus one-hundred, so even odds. I just think that Newcastle, although coming off is pretty tough out in on Monday, I say, I think they'll bounce back there at home. I think that whole have a tough time coming by corners here. I like the under three and a half corners for plus one-hundred, and that's probably the
one I'm most interested for Saturday. Outside of that, you kind of mentioned Tottenham as a team that has had a difficult time scoring and the other team was yet to score as Coventry. Zero goals ten against. I mean, I feel like they've played okay. They've played well enough to probably have at least a goal in the league here, but ultimately, they haven't scored yet. So I, and Forests, are coming their play at home. I'm interested in this one. I think Forests are going to be able to win this one on a Montyline, but odds are not the best. So I give you an option, Adam. Not an M Forest Montyline in over one and a half. That's minus one-fifteen, or not an M Forest Montyline in under three and a half as plus one-fourty, which one would you prefer? I think it's tough. It's tough because you can easily see Forests winning this one on one nil.
Yeah, I'd lay with it where it could be, you know, you could see things getting a little crazy. I think I have to do the under like Malenkovich. There's going to be out for a night in Forest, which is the factor. He was out last week in their winning against Estonville, too, on win. But this Coventry lineup, they're not going to have a Wani. They're probably, they might, who's known who's going to start? It could be LSMs again. It could be Sharif, one of their new additions. So they're in a weird situation with their striker. And in addition to, they're also down at Defender, though. So maybe that's going to help Forests a little bit. Amanda, one of their new signings picked up a calf injury midweek. So there are some factors here in terms of injuries that point to both ways. But I'd say just in terms of like how successful these teams have been at scoring goals, maybe under three and a half is maybe the better route. Okay, so we like not in Forest, Wani line, and under three and a half on this game.
And then the other one that I referenced was that Newcastle Hole match, Hole three and three and a half corners is plus 100. That's the bet I'm going to go with. I wish you could get Newcastle out of better number on the, it's a minus two and a half corners. The number that I see under after things is minus 135. But if that got any better, I would be, that would be probably like my bet of the week because all of the whole opponents have been just like kind of doubling them up in corners. So keep an eye on that one, but I still like any, any thoughts on those two bets. I was actually looking for some Newcastle corner bets because if we remember back in the Eddie Howe days, it was like they had a bad game and then they just first half, they ported on the other team. But the odds makers have already leaned into that. The over under for Newcastle corners is six and a half, over six and a half corners and minus 125 odds. So you're not really getting anything there. I've read some of Matthias Yisels quotes. I think that's a pronunciation.
It seems like he's the same kind of manager where he's just like looking for a bounce back. They're going to put it on the other team kind of thing early. So if you really into that, Newcastle minus one and a half corners in the first half is minus 115 odds. So that's another way to look at corners for a Newcastle. If you're into the, if you're into the bounce back, Newcastle needs some points for the break. That kind of thing. Yes, is Angus Maximus. This partner has one pound of hot Suzy Cook to honor Angus Speed. It's more face to the quarter pounder. The battle is closed. And for only 599, even regular teams can afford it. Like that guy. Give me that big old man. Yes. The whole Angus Maximus only 599 is whole senior. A bill for a limited time of participating restaurants tax on included, not valid for use within a combo or in combination with any other offer or discount. Watch it live only on the zone. Sign up now at tozone.com. Moving on to Sunday. We have four games here. Bournemouth are home against Liverpool. Again, Bournemouth are in, they play Real Sociedad on Thursday in San Sebastian. Manchester City also play Thursday. I assume they're going to rotate. This is before that game against Norwich. They're in the EFL Cup. They host Sunerland. Sunerland, fresh off of their Europa League. Their first Europa League win and goal and all of that. That'll be a fun one. Leads, Palace is one I want to look at. We're going to talk a little more into this full home against Manchester United game. Manchester United, we know what happened with them against Brighton.
We talked a little bit about full home last week and I think at the end of the conversation, one of the only bets we got wrong last week was I think we both had the overboating to score whatever, ESOC, two push outs and target. At the end of that conversation, I remember being like, if you look at the last time full home had a road game, they played a little more defensive. They were a little safer under our below. That's what they did in that game against Liverpool. Now they're at home. Is that going to be the same case? Our below made comments. I don't know if it's before or after the game in terms of he basically said what kind of everyone was thinking. We have to change our strategy. We're allowing goals for free, basically. We have to play different. I think that means not letting teams have wide open goals against them as their fullbacks are on the other end of the pitch kind of a thing. Are we believing that full home are going to be a little more defensive than we saw in that Liverpool game or they're back at home? Maybe they're going to be amped up here in the standalone Sunday game as it just can
be goals again. What do you think? I think they have to stick with what worked because what they were doing before that was clearly not working for them. Scraped together a good point and then zero-zero draw against Liverpool. You got to stick to it. It's probably a little slightly too early to say that he's fighting for his job, but if you can't start to put together some wins, then you could quickly come into that conversation. I think we've got to be full of these managers or fight for the jobs. Yeah. I would say when we see that, we tend to see teams, it's not like you're fighting for your job. Let's go try and go for it. You're like, let's go into our shell here and see if we can't grind out some points and grind out a result. Which is unfortunate when you are as a fan, but that's just the fact of the matter on how these guys are going to get results. Yeah. Full them. They won their EFL Cup match three-two at West Ham against the solid team, somewhat solid. They pretty much rotated their entire team outside of like Anthony Robinson and Castagna
at full back there. Whereas Manchester United, they also rotated, but they still started guys like Rashford got 80 minutes in that. They had to start.low, Miser Aui because they don't really have any other full backs. Tealumins went 90. All those goods went 90. So Manchester United, even in the loss, they actually rotated less. That game was Wednesday as well, less than full of them did. I find that a little interesting. I agree with you in terms of how full of them should play this. You don't want to get in like a track meet when you have EmboMo, when you have Rashford going on both wings and you got Bruno in the middle kind of thing. You don't really want to get in a track meet against this kind of team, especially when you throw Rashford in here because even though the number has never been there for Rashford, he's just like one of those players who is always electric, maybe not two seasons ago, when he was having fights with over the manager of us. So I'm going under-tune F goals in this one. I'm kind of riding what Fullham just did in that last game, not the game against West
Amp, but that's plus 140 odds. I think the odds are good enough. The odds are still kind of leaning into more goals in these full-ham games. So under-tune F goals plus 140, I think they play a little safer here. They don't want to get into one-on-one against Rashford kind of a thing. So let's see if that happens again for them. Agreed? I agree. I think the game that I'm going to hear on Sunday is always... One thing I find interesting is how they determine how the schedule works, whether it's one game for Adi, one game for Monday, and then a couple, you know, just running throughout the weekend. But here's our first Sunday where we have four matches here. So we'll have two on the three on the early slate, and then I guess they have united in full on this kind of the marquee match-up later in the day. But yeah, I mean, looking at this Liverpool game, I have... Plus 120, money line for Liverpool or if you're really... I think you got to go draw here. Both teams have three draws and four matches.
That would probably be the most interesting one. That's plus 285. A little weary Liverpool played in the lead cup. I think it was that Tuesday. They played Tottenham pretty well-rotated side, I guess. Pretty much, I'd say, probably 75% of the team is rotated. We did see McAllister in there, and Esa came on, and Barclayla came on as well. Seems to be over his calf cramped that he had last weekend. So I expect full team here, but the other part of that is, as you mentioned previously, is Borameth playing in Europa League for the first time in a long time. And they're in Spain this week, so be a short turnaround for them. I'm interested to see how they handle that. That's how I just can't say I don't know if it always happens to play a role. I know these teams are in the lead, so I'm interested either the draw or Liverpool plus 120. Draw or Liverpool plus 120. I can see that with the Thursday game for Borameth, it's going to be a little different
for them with these Europa League games, something that they're not used to, especially from a team that's not very deep. 25 minutes in, Chris. Let's get into my best bet here. Leads. They won Monday 4-1. They host Crystal Palace in this game. You can get them minus 125, depending where you look to win this game. I think these are incorrect odds, no matter how you look at it. Crystal Palace are home Thursday, 3 PM Eastern against a letched posonin. And they don't really have a team that, you know, you can rotate the entire squad and you'll be fine. They're probably not going to rotate their entire squad in Europa League. So we'll probably get a ton of regular starters in this game. And then you have the turn around to Sunday. You already have the issues of what's going on with Crystal Palace. All the goals are allowing. We just saw the game. The red cards, so they're not going to have Dessassi. They have Dessassi in Europa League, but they're not going to have him in this game.
We saw the situation with, they don't have Dean Henderson. They're goalkeeper. He is out. I guess technically, as Miles Sar could be back. I don't think he's going to start though. JD Convo. He started their first three games at center back and was, I don't know, kicked out of the team for whatever reason, bad performance, I guess. So you have all the situation going on with Crystal Palace. You have leads coming off their massive win against Newcastle. And overall, like leads have been one of the more, I don't know, impressive, better teams in the early season. I don't even know where they are on the table, but it just feels like they're playing well, but where are they? Yeah, they're third place. I guess they're going to get eight points. I guess they are playing well. Yeah, two wins, who draws only three games against. Yeah, so they've been playing well. They've been scoring goals. Their midfield looks solid, even with injuries on the back line. Joro Dones been out, but like they added Moohara, Moohara, Moohvich. Moohara Moohvich.
I've said this guy's name like 20 times. I still can't get it. But they added him. They added Nico Elvetti. But they added guys who have the head success at other clubs, prior, and they have injuries, but they bring these new guys in. They're going to be fine. And we're getting minus 125 odds for leads win here. That's not only not my best bet. We're actually going to go a little higher. You can throw that in with, you can actually take leads over two and a half goals. I know maybe there's some little more lead recency bias because they just go four, but I still like it against Crystal Piles here. Over two and a half goals for leads plus two 25 odds. If you just want to do like a simple leads money line and over maybe over one and a half goals for the game, you can probably get closer to even odds, that kind of thing. So there are a few ways to take this, but I just think this is a really good spot for leads fresh off of their massive Monday win. I'm going to do it. Yeah, funny to look at them. Third place right behind Mciddy and Arsenal, who dropped any points yet.
Yeah, really impressive start for them. Yeah, and they they're one of the teams that so yeah, they had their EFL Cup game last week. It was the sixth three game against Chelsea. Otherwise, I think that's it. I did write down a Manchester City money line bet. They're home against Sonnerland Manchester money line and under three and a half goals plus 100, hoping that the Sunderland isn't too tired after what they just did on Wednesday in Europa League. But you got anything else, Chris, for a game week five? No, but big a big week here and then we are often to the international break, I believe. Sunset. Yeah, into the international break. That's why we have no Monday games this week. And then we're going to be off for three weeks. Yeah, I don't know. I think it's like the first long one, I think. We might have to get together and do a do a few revisits in future spets. Yeah, maybe look at some more futures because I brought it up a couple times.
The odds like the first three weeks, I think it was like the odds were still weren't like picking up on hold the finish last. Yeah, they were still the favorite to finish the last. I haven't looked at that in a couple weeks. So maybe that'll be something we can look at over the international break. But Chris, game week five, roadaware.com slash shocker to get all of your fantasy needs. Manchester City. So the biggest favorite in game week five, RWB soccer, 35% off. Enjoy the break everyone.
