Welcome to the Carey Abbott Show, your place for news, views and values you can trust, and relationship insights you need. Now here's Carey Abbott. So good to be with your friends. Welcome to the Carey Abbott Show. It's an honor to be with you today. I have a lot of news. I want to bring to your attention. On top of mine's story, we do have the midterms coming up. I'm trying to stay out of the phrase much as possible. But James Teleriko is going to be part of the show today for a biblical reason. And he's an American politician, as you probably well know. If you've noticed, he's all over YouTube. You can't try to go get a garden video or a recipe without him popping up. I'm a little bugged by that, by the way. I don't want to keep seeing anybody that many times. But he's also a previous educator and a Presbyterian seminarian.

Keep that in mind as I share just a little bit of some background. He served in the Texas House of Representatives since 2018. He is an eighth generation Texan and a former middle school teacher. He's a Democrat nominee for the 2026 US Senate race against Ken Paxton. A very big race. And so that's why I'm bringing this to your attention. The news for me is as a Presbyterian seminarian and people who are serving in the church where that he is associated with. He has a apparently in this, keep this in mind. This is an undercover video that was taken. But I think it's important to bring to your attention. One of the pastors, a woman who is clearly by public declaration, a lesbian. Keep that in mind too. This is all just part of the story. Apparently she in this video mocks the Virgin birth and says things about Jesus Christ that I just have to respond to.

And it looks as if the context here is a conversation whether she knew it was being taped or not. This is what she said. I've seen this video in a lot of different places. And so I wanted to bring it to your attention. Those of you who live in Texas, this would be the question, not just what does he think about trans kids because he's gone back and forth on that and some of his other views. But his view of Jesus Christ, if he claims to be a Christian and there are some political people like David French who say he's a genuine Christian and a good example of a brother in Christ, I want you to listen to this audio and then we're going to address what was said here because if this is the preaching he's been sitting under for his adult life, his biblical views are his worldview. His worldview will cause him to make decisions about policy. And we want our politicians to serve our best interests. Listen to this. Do we really believe that a virgin gave birth to a baby? No. Yeah. Okay. I just don't want to offend my own common sense.

Yeah. No, don't. Yeah. Absolutely don't. Part of what we encourage here is for people to think for themselves. And take what makes sense. It's kind of like what they say in 12-step programs. Think what you want and leave the rest. So you, and I know that that would greatly offend your relatives who want to hang on to these archaic rules. Mary and the virgin birth comes out of the pagan belief that the gods came down and impregnated people. That people were still hanging on to during that time. We have no way of knowing if Jesus really existed. Any more than we have an of knowing that the original Buddha ever existed. And whether or not Jesus existed doesn't really matter to me. The fact remains that that message that was delivered by someone named Jesus supposedly

and it could have all been made up for all I know. The God in the Old Testament is not a loving God. It's a vengeful killing people. Kind of God. Yeah. This is a lot of mythology. Jesus was political. Jesus was put on that cross, not to save us. Jesus was put on that cross because Roman ate it. And they thought he was a threat to their domination of that area. And so they killed him. So he was kind of saved our sins. So he died more as a kind of a social justice warrior in some sense. Yes. So that makes a whole lot more sense to me than to say that some God would kill his son for us. That doesn't make sense. It never made sense. How does that make up for all the things I can do? No, it doesn't. Okay then. So those of you who know your Bible, those of you who know the story, the history, the

proven history of Jesus Christ, I'm sure you were surprised as I was. This is James Telerikos pastor saying that we have no way of knowing if Jesus really existed. Her name is Babs Miller of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. And this undercover video obtained by real daily wire. So rather than get worked up, it would be very easy to because I'm a defender of the reputation of Jesus Christ. I'm just going to point us to scripture. And when I remind those of you who don't like to mix politics and religion, you cannot miss this. That everything that goes on in our world is a spiritual battle. It might look like it's politics, but it's more than that. We don't need anybody representing any state that has a warped view of scripture and claims to be a Christian. And they're running people like this in the Democrat Party to try to cross over. So yes, we're spiritual too. We believe in this.

The word woke would be the word that would come to mind. But I want to take you to Hebrews where it's very clear and I just love how Hebrews begins. And God's final word, his son. In the past, this is chapter 1, verse 1. In the past, God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways. But in these last days, he has spoken to us by his son whom he appointed heir of all things. And through whom also he made the universe, the son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the majesty in heaven. So he became as much superior to the angels as in the name he has inherited his superior to theirs.

And there's a reason the author goes into this because there's a discussion going on about Jesus compared to the power of angels. And if you go on through Hebrews and I recommend you read all of this in one sitting, that's how I generally get the most out of New Testament letters in particular. Jesus made fully human. Jesus is greater than Moses when you go through out this whole book. It's incredible how God defines him as the great high priest. So I'm curious of the seminarian James Tallerico and his pastor, Babs, ever went to Bible College because Hebrews is clear who Jesus is. If you weren't sure and you don't know about the history, it's all explained here beautifully and the blood of Christ is discussed. And so this is important. I can tell you just scholars of antiquity have all agreed that Jesus Christ existed. It's easier to prove he existed than anybody else on the planet.

And of course, scripture itself is the greatest proof of who he was, but it isn't just scripture that proves that. I think it's so interesting that she says Christianity and just your traditions in your faith or a smorgasbord that you get to choose from. That is one of the greatest lies. It is God himself who makes the rules, my friend. And he's the one who sent his son. She just can't imagine a father sending a son, but it says right here, he did it himself. He appointed him the heir and he had an assignment and he knew what that assignment was. So I'm not sure what she thinks Christianity is because a Christ follower is a disciple of the very one I just read about in Hebrews who actually is the radiance of God's glory. It sustains everything through the power of his word and he's the one that provided purification. And of course, the virgin birth she had to mock and say, no, that was just some pagan idea. What in the world are they teaching at that church? Is it just social justice?

Yeah, he's a guy who stood up to the Romans and they killed him. And so, you know, then you need to stand up to no kings, no kings. I don't know what they're teaching, but this should bring to your mind the cost of this coming election is not just, although there'll be another person in another position. There's a battle raging right now for our nation, for what our nation should be and could be and was founded on. And there have been those who've been trying to change that story for some time. We've talked about that a little bit. If you didn't hear my interview with Mel Kay, I recommend you go back and listen and I'd love to hear your thoughts about that about the kind of the shadow government, the organizations that were put in place after World War II to keep us out of another world war and those very institutions, including the UN and UNESCO and the World Health Organization

and all those other globalist organizations that pretend to have authority over our sovereignty. That was all put in place during that time and many presidents have spoken about that. So very interesting, the times were in. I just wanted to bring that to your attention because it just jumped out at me and I'm not going to, you know, if I showed you it brought to your attention every nuance of every article about what's taking place in politics, you would be overwhelmed. There's so much. So I grabbed that story for a reason because he is in the news all the time and I thought it would be important to say, well, where's he getting his biblical worldview or his non-biblical worldview? And that explains it. So enough on that. Just keep that, keep in mind, this is a really important time to be tuned in. Those of you in Texas, you already know the cost of this. We're praying for you and let us know how we can support you in that. Another story that is not getting enough attention is an executive order that was signed on

September 29th directing all federal agencies to integrate services with a new website. And this website was designed to make it easier for users to find information and interact with the government. In fact, this may be one of the most revolutionary product launches of all time, seriously. And it got so little news that I had to bring it to your attention. It's called America.gov. It's going to serve as a landing page. Listen, this is consolidating nearly 30,000 federal government websites into one chatbot. And it's powered by SpaceX's GROC and Google's Gemini. So now I know some are going, oh no, it's AI. Well, this is the good side of AI because you're not going to get a biblical worldview out of this. You're going to get help with forms. You're going to be able to get your passport a lot faster. This site actually allows users to ask questions and receive guidance about the services. And here's the motivation behind it.

Here's a quote from the president. The federal government no longer stands in your way and it stands only at your service. We're simplifying it. We're glamorizing, of course, a little gold here and there, probably. We're making it what it should be. And the plans are for full integration with more than 10,000 forms across agencies. They'll provide opportunities for full service enrollment where visitors can apply and enroll and track progress directly in the chat. You'll find a front door to the government replacing the endless maze of websites and regulations. I don't know if you've tried to get some a form recently. It's not easy. And often you have to go in person, right? So when I had to go and get an enhanced driver's license and I had to go and get different form to get a copy of a marriage license which I've had for years and all of a sudden I had to go get a new one. The amount of time it took me to go in person and then had to go to this place and this place and you think, really, that's going to be gone.

That's what's incredible about this. This article in Epic Times says it's not just a website. It's a restoration of America's founding promise. And it's reinvention of your government for the 21st century. We're putting power and control back into the hands of the people right where it belongs. This is part of what I want you to pay attention to. The battle that's going on right now is for government to serve you, not government to tell you what to do with your life. This administration is trying to flip that script and that's why there's so much battling taking place because the government has been overrun. It is taken over so much of our lives. It's cost all of us dearly and of course, COVID was the big example, right? So this is really exciting. Once complete Americans can request replacement social security cards, for instance, apply for passports and name changes and access countless other government services.

And with this, by the way, nobody can complain about providing proof of citizenship or voter ID. So there's one of the reasons, right? And he's calling for lawmakers to pass the Save America Act, which would also mandate proof of citizenship to register in IDs to vote. But this will help that process. Privacy is built into the system by the way there's no log in required. Isn't that interesting? The site does not track visitors and no personal information or conversations are recorded according to the officials. We hope and pray that that's true, right? Wow. This to me is one of the biggest stories and it got so little news. I was very surprised, but I think it's because there's so much going on, right? And of course, the news feed is going to give you the scariest, ugliest stories or the greatest problems going on and not the solutions that are taking place every day. Which is why we like to do that once in a while on this show. Listen, I need to take a quick break.

We will be back with more news. Do you believe your influence can make a difference? This is a great time to join the coalition, so to find out how you can get involved, go

to ADFlegal.org. And now back to the Carrie Abbott show. Another story that you heard a little bit about because we mentioned this in July when the Trump accounts were opened up. Now they have enrolled 60 million children. This is about three months after they were officially launched in July. So all children with the Social Security number can and they're ready to be claimed, by the way, according to Scott Besent, a child's parents or guardians must claim these accounts in order to manage them and allow family members, employers and friends, and corporations, by the way, to contribute. This is quite an amazing feat that they are attempting here. Trump accounts can accept contributions about $5,000 a year. The accounts are held in a child's name, parents are custodians until the child turns 18 when they get full access to the accounts. And so to claim the account parents must download the official Trump accounts app available

on Android, Android and others. Just go check it out. I'm sure they'll make it easy for you. Only accounts that are claimed will receive the $1,000 seed deposit from the Treasury. Please note what I just said. The $1,000 that you did not have to do anything for will be in that account available for children born between January 1 and 2025 in December 31st. And now all children have a possibility to have people put into these accounts for them. This is a transformative milestone in the Trump administration effort to give every American child the opportunity to build generational wealth and jumpstart their financial future. The balance is most generally be invested in funds that track the returns of an index. This article that I'll link you to gives you all the details. There are of course regulations governing the Trump accounts, but every dollar in a child's Trump account should be working toward the child's financial future, right? And not diminished by unnecessary fees. And to me, this is just so exciting if you think about this.

The Trump account website estimates that account holders stand to benefit massively over time. For instance, just $1,000 deposited at the birth of a child will grow to an estimated 6,000 by the time the child turns 18. Even without additional contributions, but if you just add 250 in yearly contributions, that's $250. You could take the final number to 19,000. What if you add 5,000 per year? The final amount in age 18 could reach, listen to this, $271,000 according to the website. How many of you wish you would have done this for your own children? This is something you must jump on. And don't be afraid of, well, what are they going to do with it? They're giving you $1,000, right? No strings attached except you manage the account. And your child has something to look forward to. You see what's going on here? This president is a builder of wealth. He builds buildings and wealth better than anyone we've seen in this position, clearly.

And so this is what's going on. That's why they call it the golden age. They're interested in putting money back into the hands of people instead of taking your money. That's why you're seeing this president also send refunds to those who paid too much in Obamacare. They're sending that money out. And of course, it's all happening right now in conversation partially because of the midterms. I think that's legitimate to say, okay, we need some help. Here's some help. Here's some of your money back. I thought that was just so great. Such good news, right? And here's another story that's good news. The Supreme Court cleared the Trump administration to use voter citizenship verification. Now, this might seem like a no-brainer, but there are so many lawsuits going back and forth when it comes to citizenship. But on September 25th, the Supreme Court said the Trump administration can use an updated immigration database to do what? Verify citizenship of voters. That just seems obvious, doesn't it?

But again, everything is a battle. And of course, there was a battle over this one. And so now states can reach out and say, here's this person's name. Can you tell us if they're a legitimately a citizen or not? And we'll go into the details of how that works. I wanted you to know about that because that is more good news. We need to have security, right? Yeah. Speaking of building, this also in the context of everything going on, the president announced the largest ever US steel plant, right? So he's not building think tanks. God bless you, think tanks, I get much material from the think tanks that we have. But we're talking about building something where jobs are going to be a result because we've talked about this on this show. If young men don't see they have a future, they won't build a relationship, they won't get married and they won't start a family. And that is so important to the security of our nation. Not to mention just God's plan for human flourishing, right?

We need to make it easier for them. We've talked about the fact that the cost of cars and trucks is going to go down because of deregulation and also changing some of the cafe standards on fuel. And that seems like a not thing for me to talk about, but it's not because it's a driver pun intended to a young man pursuing a young woman. Amen. Amen. So this is all really important. So the president revealed plans for the biggest steel plant in US history. Of course, everything's huge with him. You just got a smile. Why not go big, right? This plant will produce some of the highest quality, most affordable steel anywhere in the world. He said during this event and the Masabi metallics executives joined the president and Senator Joni Ernst in the Oble Office to highlight the company's $15 billion investment in Iowa. Wow. That is really something. And it's good news, right? And of course, the positions that will happen there, the buildouts expected to take about

three years, adding more than 5,000 construction jobs and about 1,750 permanent positions contributing more than $95 billion to Iowa's economy by 2040. That sounds like good news. Have you heard about that? Yeah. See, I just don't know. Now on a sad note, and I wanted to bring this to your attention, I'm trying to stay away from too much negative news in this show just because there's a lot of positive. But I'm worried about Canada. Are you worried about Canada? We love our Canadian brothers and sisters and fellow people, mating God's image. But now more Canadians are dying from their government assisted suicide than Americans have died from gun homicides, which I think both are horrific. But we have about eight times the population of Canada, which should tell you that this report is awful. If Canada has more deaths by the government than America has by gun homicides.

Yeah, it's true. It's their made program. A total of 16,499 people received made. That's basically assisted suicide in Canada in 2024. According to their Canada's sixth annual report on made the latest available report by the way in the US compared to 15,000 people were killed by a gun, which is also terrible. And it's not gun violence. It's people violence. We know that. But how horrific is that story? Be praying for Canada. Their leadership is confused. And by the way, their leadership, Karni, is really trying to associate himself with not sovereignty, but globalism because that's where he's been trained. So it isn't a surprise, but it's something to pay attention to. Last thing here, I want to tell you in leading on this is a good news story. Polling is showing that teens are becoming straight again, straight as in sexually lined up and living in agreement with their divine design.

Interesting. So that's new survey. Everything is gay. That was just a fad. So I've got a chart here that I won't explain to you. But somehow people who tell us they were born this way, this article out of not the bee and that sexuality is a spectrum are now returning to normal. It's almost like the whole world, the whole acceptance movement was just a social contagion that spread because teens like being rebellious, according to some people. But the analysis is those who are identifying as lesbian, gay or bisexual has plummeted among younger teens in 2025. So that's in a nationally representative survey from the CDC. Older teens show relative stability consistent with data from young adults. And so there's a decline in the LGBT in this article funny, they took off the tee because you know there's a battle going on for that. But especially young among the younger teens. So things are changing, my friends. And part of it is because we've been telling the truth about male and female design.

That's what we do at the Legacy Institute. It's one of the main things we do for this show is to help you live in agreement with your divine design and help you help your young teen or tween or or even small child understand who they are as a boy or a girl, mating God's image. That's where the power starts for their life of flourishing. Hey, thanks for joining me today. It's always so good to be together. A lot of other things will tackle this week. I trust you're doing well, living in agreement with your divine design. We'll see you next time.
