Yes, Eplin. Oh boy. Big! All right, so we've heard from a few people that say definitively, you two does not count as United Kingdom. So I think we need to discount them. Does not count is what we have heard. Okay. Got the official word from Mrs. Big Daddy Graham. Yeah, I believe in what I'd say with my tax messages, Rhea. Oh. And others. Oh, okay. And others. You two out. But Beatles stones who, Zeppelin and many others, including more modern bands in. Good. It saved the audience from saying something that Richie and I weren't going to vote for anyway. Yeah. Well, that's true. You guys hate you too. Like you two is great, but they would not have won, even as much as I love you two. You guys hate you too? They don't. I hate as a strong word. I just think that's more. I object to the fact that Joe said they were the best band in the last 20s. I think that's 35 years. That's been the last 35 years, which now would be the best band in the last 40 years.

Yeah, I think they're fine. Basically a ball. I think you two is fine. A ball. I think they're a ball. Excellent. I just don't think they're the best. Yeah, I don't think they're excellent. I think we're fine. Yeah, they're better than fine. Not for me. They're not. All right. That's got. He wasn't fine last night. We'll get to what happened with Dac in game and post game. We'll hit that surely. Mike and Del ran right now from where God and Mike, good morning, buddy. Hey, good morning, everybody. How you doing? Doing well. How are you? I don't like you two either, guys. Ever since Apple made you like forced you to have that album in your music lock, Brian? Very good. Like, who are you to tell me? I need to listen to those clowns. Anyway, as far as the six years ago, like, I have way more confidence in counting on a 42 year old LeBron in the playoffs than we have had to count on Mb to the playoffs. I don't care how old he looks in the 82 game season. As far as the Eagles go, I think this is it.

This is probably the biggest game since the Super Bowl, in my opinion, because all the Jalen hurts doubters. He's got all these weapons. He's got the greatest line. He's got the greatest defense. He doesn't have any of that now. He goes out there and he somehow wins this game. I think it solidifies what all the Jalen I just said that. It'll be impressive. No, it'll be very impressive if he can lift them up with so little around him. Although, Mike, I got an object to one thing you said. I mean, come on. Let's get our head screwed on straight. They played a playoff game last year. This is not more important than the game versus San Francisco. I think, hold on. I think to most turmoil we've had in one week of Eagles football, probably Carson went to dubby getting fired. Well, we're 20, yeah, 2020. Yeah, for sure. That's right. Yeah, so when it comes to having a game after a week like that, every one of the world expects them to lose my two touchdowns or whatever, he comes down. He wins this game. It's going to be the biggest game for Jalen hurts since the Super Bowl.

Okay, yeah, that's a different way to frame it. I got you. Give me a great song. UK. What do you got? I'm going to go in the air in the night or whatever, but I still counts. Oh, man. I think of the Miami voice scene. Mike. That's a great song. Yeah, yeah, I agree with you. I mean, my enemy voice scene is just one of the all-time scenes. Intellivision history, really is. All right, James, you've lived through the last 10 years here on WIPA more turmoil in a week this week. Oh, were Nick with the flowers and they're like three insects. So just it was either it was either two and five or three insects. I just Eagles, right? Like just. Okay, because we're not adding in the Phillies, turmoil. I think probably so I think just for Nick himself, the flowers and kind of just the talk about Nick. I think overall it's it's this week. I mean, we had Lane Johnson retire before football game. We talked about in the air like Mike Schmidt, the last like big time Philly athlete to retire in. So it's been since 1989 something like that happened. And then you add in just all the injuries popping up the Cam turgans trade, the where Nick and Jalen are at, who they're going out there with this Sunday.

Right. I think it's absolutely this week. So I do too. And so and it's interesting one. The one five years ago in 21 was they might not get off the ground. The plane may never take off. They might keep stinking. Remember, they were 411 and one in 2020. They might still stink. This one is they might start stinking. You know, I like how you put it in. No, I mean, that's what it is. That's true. All right, that press got they lose last night. That's a big loss that helps the Eagles at home. Yeah, to the box. The four not just that the box had been 0 and 13 against the spread and there let's like the longest streak in in a ton of years against the spread till last night. They had they's not covered a single game in like 13 games. So what they did cover last night. What's that? CD lamb. So they covered CD lamb. He had what five targets two catches nine yards. Wow. That's the week after he caught 17 balls. That was that was an unbelievable job by Todd bulls and that defense of shutting down the biggest offensive weapon that the Dallas Cowboys had.

And that's a big reason why they won the ball. And bulls tried to literally give it back to them with like eight and a half minutes up. He's a really bad coach. Yeah, I and you know, temple guy, but no like eight and a half minutes up. He goes for a field goal there. They're up three scores. He went for it. And you know, they could have closed that gap. I mean, if that doesn't get picked off at the end, you know, it's like what is only an eight point game? They're a chance. The way it all nets out is it's a really good result for the Eagles. And I do. And I don't know who the best team in the division is. I think it's a free for all frankly. I think all four teams could. I agree with you. By the way, to the to the callers point before where we had the caller say this is going to be the division with the team. Oh, should they be in the playoffs? The NFC South exists. Like there are two divisions in the NFC that there are real question marks about like nine and eight eight and nine type of thing. Yeah, no, I agree, James. And I'll say this. It would not shock me if nine and eight wins this division. Yeah. I mean, let's remember the year the Eagles and everyone was for Anderson 2026 wins won the division. Now that was I believe at the end of the year at netted out of the world.

That is so unbelievable. Well, think about this. It is so unbelievably stunning. James, the Eagles were four nine and one. Yeah, and in it. And controlled their own destiny. That's what I'm talking about. Yeah, he were four nine and one playing at Dallas and the Eagles controlled their destiny. It's hard to say that with a four nine and one. Oh, it's incredible. I know it's true. All right. So the backstory last night, not only is Dallas lose, but as Dax walking off the field headed toward the locker room, someone, and we'll get to it in a moment. Someone says to him embarrassing. And it's not a cowboy person. So he's trying to figure out what's going on here. He looks up and then as he says the guy kind of, you know, doesn't make eye contact anymore, but then mutter something else. Let's listen to Dax when he got to the podium, addressing sweet moment for us as Eagles fans, but Dax annoyed. And I get it, depending on who it is, let's listen to Dax at the podium. You're taking a disrespectful. Was it, are you agree to embarrassing or?

You know, when you said that, it just happened to look at him. And at that point, you know, he looked the way he didn't look, and then when I turned my head back, he said something else. And so that's the part that, you know, just as a man or as just a person, feel free to speak your mind. Just speak it. Don't, don't. Cowered away from the reaction that you're going to get. And so, yeah, I mean, if you're saying it's embarrassing, say it's embarrassing. If you're saying it to me, then say it to me. You know what I mean? Go back on it. I mean, I think it was, and hate it that it's even being talked about to be honest with you. So, John, is this the part of the show where I should shut my mouth, because I actually think that's right? I thought there's nothing wrong with what he said there. I thought that was really well done, but I like that. I admire that. I think he's a pretty stand up, dude. Yeah, he's fine. He's fine. He's just saying, cower instead of cowered. But also like, imagine Jalen in that spot. Like, there is no chance Jalen would react to someone. None. No, he's a c-walking. He would just keep walking. And I get it. So, I think that's what I think is wrong, I think, whatever. But like, you're the, you're the starting quarterback of the Dallas Cowbub.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know. I think you need to just walk away there and not react. So, Rhea, who do they think this person is? Like car service. You know, somebody's picking somebody up part of the car. He looked like a pretty big dude. But I think it's hilarious. Well, of course, I love when you're, of course it's fun. When the starting quarterback of the Cowboys is getting heckled by their own people inside their own tunnel where nobody else is allowed. Well, here's the thing that I'd be interested to know. Is it a car service of a box player, a buckstaffer, a Cowboys player or a Cowboys staffer? It wouldn't be a buckstaffer because they're all, they're all on buses, right? Probably. Yeah, probably, yeah. I would probably. Let's tie this all in to what we were talking about earlier. You know, what we were talking, what our first call of the day was a caller who was up in arms about everyone. Half the fan base being happy for the misfortune of our quarter. By the way, it's not half, but it's a good portion. I will say John, it's a vocal minority who take the lead vocal minority.

But here's my point. We see, we see it happen right there in Dallas where a team and its fans, the fans are almost cannibalizing themselves. And that's such a, it's so unfortunate. Like, it's not supposed to work that way. I don't know if this is an evolution of rooting on teams or what. But if we could somehow try to focus on the fact that we're all pulling, we're supposed to be pulling the same direction. We're also supposed to be focused on winning our team improving, getting better. Yeah, it's not us. Do you think that's helpful? No, it's not. And it's not helpful for the Dallas Cowboys either. We cheer it when we see it because we know that it's detrimental to cannibalize yourselves. Are you going to not criticize the Phillies for the next six months? Of course not. But when you're at a game, when you're giving support to a team, it's, I don't know, supposed to be support, isn't it?

They have been not going to play them well. They deserve booze. That's just the way it is. John, I can hear you. I do understand what you're saying. Look, there's a difference between, boo, you sock because you went three and out. Right. And, hey, got to do better. We're behind you. No matter what. That doesn't happen at all. It doesn't happen. It's naive. That is so naive. No. I played on a team in Oakland where if we're running in at halftime, and that was an intense fan base, just as intense as the Eagle fan base. They're the two best fan bases in all of football. When I'm coming in the tunnel, if we're down by two touchdowns in Oakland, I really did feel supported. I felt like the fans were cheering, yelling at the other side. They were saying, we know we believe in you. John, you're not going to get that here. Sorry. I mean, it's not the way it would help this time.

No, it's not the fans job. We're going to do this. No, it's not. No, it's not. Stop it. It's not the pay money. Go on, step back and get the play. It's to be supportive of this team, right? We are not in a good space right now. Every little bit helps. If you are truly a fan of this team, let's be a fan of this team. Let's not be like just like we're saying at the beginning. Are you seriously happy that the quarterback struggling? That's a completely different take. That's people who are making comments after the games. When you're at a game and your team's playing poorly, you're going to get booed. And that's also a way a fan is part of holding your team accountable. Is letting your team know this is not acceptable that you need to be better and better. Do you think the team thinks it's acceptable? Do you think the team goes out there and wants to suck? Seriously. No, I don't think so. You are being naive. Well, here's the work. Let me just say this guys. We're not going to agree. I guarantee we could do this for three hours. We're not going to agree. Well, that is a classic song.

And a beautiful one. Of course, it didn't help them win the, you know, revolutionary war. What did they, you guys know because I don't know. What did people in London call what we refer to as the revolutionary war? I have no idea. Sometimes different questions. A great question. I'll check. Different sides give a different name. My favorite thing was when we were over in London. Remember the guy who had the t-shirt, it was something like 13 to 1, the US versus Britain. That's good. It was a riot. That's good. One of the funniest t-shirts I've ever seen. I like it. All right, so good morning, Tia. I'm going to talk about the Eagles in the park in a couple of hours for London. We are in the midst of a show talking about the Eagles and the Jags. I think, you know, John thinks it's going to be a pretty big loss. I think it's going to be lesser of a loss, but still a loss. I do think the tenor of discussion has been a little too negative lately. I mean, the reality is they could beat the Jags. Probably won't, but could. And the season is not lost. They could, but it would be a real departure from a normal game if that happens.

Like I would expect if they beat the Jags, they're going to get takeaways galore, you know, like special teams, touchdowns, weird stuff might happen. Well, it's also possible. Jalen doesn't turn it over. Historically, he doesn't much. Trevor could do that. I mean, his side games where, I mean, he lives dangerously sometimes with the football. Look to me, there's three different groups that have not been good the last couple of weeks. Jalen, a quarterback, the offense align and the defense. And I mean, by their typical standard, different degrees. I don't really have hoped the O'Lines going to pull it all together this week. I really don't. But I do have hope Jalen can play better and I do have hope the defense can play better. I really do. So I think that there is a path to victory. And then in the broader sense for the season, forget the game for a moment. In the season, I believe the Eagles are far more in it than the tenor of discussion this week would have a lot of people think. First off, no one's running away with the division. Dallas lost again last night. And the vast majority of these injuries, and we'll talk quite a bit about them with Elliott coming up. In 10 minutes. The vast majority of the injuries are short term.

I mean, they really are. I mean, there's a chance by week seven. The Eagles are like a pretty healthy football team. But you're never getting laid back. Well, and you might not ever get a good land in again. Yeah. And you might not, yeah, you might not get a good O'Lines, which is the staple, the foundation of everything working. Not just the run, but the pass. We see what it happens when Jalen doesn't have time. Yeah. So 215-592-94-94. One more thing I'll throw out there. Flyers. What the heck? James, how long until we have to do them? Maybe it's as soon as next week. A poll like, are they going to make the playoffs? Oh, man. I thought you were going to say they're never going to win a game. That's a little early for hockey. I mean, they're O2 and 3. Like, come on, guys. And then obviously you can react on the six. Lebron, we'll get to some Lebron audio coming up in just a moment. Something Lebron said after the game last night. He wasn't out there a ton, but he was out there close to half the game. And he was tremendous passing the ball. He was not particularly assertive offensively with shooting as I wouldn't expect to debate. I didn't expect that. I mean, he went 8 for 8 from the line. I mean, he only took one shot. So there was no reason to expend a ton of energy. I mean, the NBA finals aren't for eight months and he's 41 years old. The passing to Tyrese, that could be so much fun to watch. He's always been along with Magic Johnson and very select few. And that might be your top two. One of the greatest passions of all time. Well, that's really what I've done. You know, it could just up there, stockings up there, birds up there. But I think LeBron and Magic are the two best I've seen. I think he's in the high. They're high. Their hike isn't an advantage. The typical point guards don't have.

And last night, you know, what we've gotten used to seeing is Tyrese Maxi bringing the ball up the court. Now with LeBron bringing the ball up, it feels like we've got that creative passing. Read it our fingertips more so than before. It's not going to be, hey, can Tyrese, you know, out sprint someone to the bucket. It's now Tyrese might get a beautiful pass wide open for a three. Like we saw last night. Yeah. This is going to open up his game. Tyrese Maxi's game, even, I mean, just as much as it's going to open up the rest of these unballed leagues. These unbelievably talented scores because LeBron is a point guard a lot of the time. With that said, Joel was a disaster last night. And for those of you that didn't say it, I can't describe to you how much of a disaster. He was horrendous. Let's listen to LeBron after the game last night. His first as a six, we're talking about playing with the guys. It felt a little different, obviously. I was running a new uniform, but you know, the game is the game and the game is needed to be played on the floor. And it was almost happy to be able to, you know, lock some minutes with the guys that we've been, you know, going at each other.

And practice for the last two weeks. Or we can have for whatever the case may be, however long we've been practicing. But there was great defonning just going there. And like I said, lock some time, long some minutes with the guys that, you know, we're not going to be in a fold. All right. We'll take your thoughts. If you saw the sixers last night, what's the deal? Elliot will join us coming up. Surely Eagles and Jags in London in two days. They fly out today. Let's get to Seth in media right now. Good morning, Seth. Good morning, gang. How's everybody doing today? Doing well, Seth. Good, good. You too is the kind of band that guys back in school that wore white gloves and played in the bell choir used to listen to. There you go. You got your little shot in, Seth. Seth, I might have to crank out my hammer victory a little more vitriol after I win because of your horse assery right there. Oh, you mean the Benny Hill song can't wait to hear it. I guess we'll find out in 15 minutes. All right. So I feel like the Eagles in the past when they've had trouble like this.

And I'm going to steal man something that John said, even though I don't agree with it in just a moment. But to get to my point, why I called I feel like the team this year doesn't have the wealth of players that they used to where we've been able to adopt that plug in and play. So there's a little more of a sense of urgency right now or like kind of like questions, you know, they can't even be answered because I don't know what I'm going to do. Because I don't know what they're going to look like with these other guys, you know, coming in to fill in these massively big shoes to fill. And it's a little, it gives me a little bit of apprehension for, you know, being positive. And I always try to be, you know, but I'm also realist about it. And I just don't see that kind of depth that we used to have. And that's troublesome to me. Well, Seth, it's not even close. You're right. It's truly not even close. And right now, in my opinion, in a big picture sense, the objective for the players, obviously, is to win. But just hold it together for a couple weeks. Don't lose three or four in a row. Stay in the season. Get a couple wins.

And then hope that you're a better team as they should be in November when more guys are back. I mean, that's the way I view it. But don't kid yourself. They're not as talented, even when they get everyone back. They're not as talented as two years ago, three years ago, and four years ago. I mean, there's some stuff you could see coming. The loss of Jergens and Dickerson, though, two years ago, was not on anybody's horizon. And it really hurts a team when you unexpectedly early lose players due to injury or, you know, essentially injury. Especially all the crowd, especially when it's across your offensive line. What happens now when Drew Kendall, Drew Kendall did the job. Drew Kendall didn't practice. What happens now when these backups start going back up to the backups. We're going to talk to Elliott about all of it because there's a million injuries to cover. That's coming up in a sec. Seth, give me a great answer. I got Elliott ready. A great song from the United Kingdom. What's the best one? One that makes me think of all of the Philadelphia sports situation right now is paranoid by Black Sabbath.

You got a party. Wow. You great answer. All right. Let's get to Elliott. He joins us every Tuesday. He also joins us every Friday. He is in London. Let's shoot it over the pun to our buddy Elliott. Sure parks ready to rock. Hello Elliott. What up? How are things going back in Philly? I don't care how they're going back in Philly. I care about getting the flavor of London from you. What's it like over there? Yeah. So it's an interesting time to be in London because I'll be honest. Like, it's good over here. Like, the Eagles fans, I talked to there. I talked to a lot of Eagles fans already by the way. Like, walking through all the major touristy areas. You see a ton of Eagles, greens, a lot of Go birds, those type of things. But, you know, even talking to Eagles fans here. I don't know if kind of the doom and gloom from Philadelphia has made its way here yet. Maybe it will tonight when the Eagles fly over. But people are excited. It's been a fun few days doing the show from Passy Uncav. I know you guys know about that. That's been an awesome experience. So, yeah. Maybe we're living in a bubble of positivity over here for right now. But maybe that's what you're over the next few minutes.

No, it makes sense. And it's good. I mean, look, obviously people that 99% of the people there, their Eagles fans, purchased these tickets weeks and months ago. Yeah. So, even if they're two and two, you're still going to take the trip and you're still going to, you know, support. Are you seeing the sights, Elliot? Or are you just locked in to getting ready for the game? Um, I mean, I've walked around a little. We don't go on here. I've been on the midday show. We don't go on till three here. The time difference, obviously, making that. You guys should really just move over here and do the morning show for lunch. Like, you get, you get so much more sleep if you did it. Oh, wow. No, it's been, it's been pretty nice here. Yeah, I got to tell, Elliot, you obviously didn't say it, but my sleep was cut into last night by an all-time horrendous, you well performance. And it doesn't matter in a preseason game. But I have never seen a good or great player ever look worse five or ten times a year more than this guy. I mean, five or ten times a year, he looks like a seventh grader. So like, I've never seen a real big one. Like, I mean, a hitter and baseball can go five games without getting hit.

That's the nature of that sport. A great NFL quarterback can throw five interceptions. That happens sometimes. But I mean, there are five or ten times a year where Joel looks like a seventh grader. It's unbelievable. Yeah, I woke up this morning and I honest to God thought that tweet of yours. You meant to put back presscott because they lost. I was confused for a second. Like, how bad could Joel have been? Oh, dude. It was probably his worst ever. I'm not saying so. All right, Elliott, let's get to the Eagles here. Yeah. So it's a huge injury list. Can you please as easy as you can for the audience break it down into two categories? Who you think is going to play? Who you think is not going to play? And I assume there's a middle ground of probably the Mabies. So the floor is yours. Just educate us on what to expect on Sunday. Yes, I'll do the will play first because that's the shortest list. We'll get that one out of the way. No, I expect Zach Bond to play. Jihad Campbell to play in Quinion Mitchell to play. Quinion was a full participant in practice yesterday.

Zach Bond and Jihad are still limited, but I think that's mostly just getting them through the week. So I expect all three of them to play on Sunday. Obviously, that's a big deal. They missed Zach Bond a lot last week. So now the less fun list, the will not play. I think some of these players won't even travel to London. Seikwang Barkley with the hamstring won't play. Marquis Brown, ankle injury won't play. Marcus Epps dealing with the groin injury won't play. John thing, Bernard, you could maybe if you want to be optimistic put in the questionable list, but he hasn't practiced all week. Normally, if players miss the first two days, they don't play in the game. So John thing, Bernard, the ankle injury, I don't think will play. Devonte Smith, I was an app practice yesterday, but reporters that were there said he was doing some running off to the side. Watching him recover from his hamstring injury and training camp, when he started to run at, you know, was when he, okay, he was like almost back at practice. So I don't think Devonte will play, but I think you'll get him back next week. And then it's the two big names, Drew Kendall and Don Tevian Wicks.

Drew Kendall hasn't practiced all week with the knee injury. I don't expect him to play. And Don Tevian Wicks really kind of like the icing on the cake. Suffers a hamstring injury during the week at practice was limited yesterday. My guess is he doesn't practice today. So, you know, I'm not there. I don't have as good of a read on it, but I don't expect Wicks to play. And then the questionable ones would be Goddard and Fred Johnson. But if I had to guess, I would lean on them both being active. Just brutal. All right. Why are there so many hamstrings? I mean, it really does seem like this is an epidemic. And they need someone needs to address this. Someone needs to take a look at what are the trends? Why is it possibly due to the surface? Well, Ellie, do you think they're practicing anything or is this just bad luck? Can you tell? You know, I think with the injuries, there is bad luck. But at the same time, they have a sports side staff to Richie's point. I mean, McCoy had a hamstring, Devante, Don Tevian, like it's Sequan. Now, Sequan's happens in game.

We saw where that happened. Like, I think it's definitely something they will look at. But yeah, I mean, I think you just with the magnitude of injuries they have, it certainly just feels like a bad luck situation going on. So, Ellie, obviously, you didn't mention Bigsby, but he's not going to play it up for about a month and a half. Yeah. So, if Sequan doesn't play, who are the three running backs? And who really gets featured? So, I think Will Shipley will be the starting running back. I don't know if they'll feature any of them, right? I don't know if you want to feature any of these guys. But I think Will will be the main guy. And look, he has shown flashes at times. At times, right? Like, he's never gotten the chance to be the guy. So, we will see how he does with it. But they signed Damon Pierce to the act of roster this week. I think that's also about kick returns. If Will Shipley is going to be having a big role in offense, maybe you have Pierce back there returning kicks. And then they have two options on the practice squad. Now, the tough thing is you can only elevate so many players. So, I think you could see some roster moves today in terms of maybe signings' accords,

or something like that instead of having to elevate him. But the two guys on the practice squad are Carson Steele, who obviously had a very good preseason. And then you have Jaden Blue, who they signed from the Cowboys. I think he was a fourth round pick. He's kind of a Swiss Army knife. Like, can do a lot of things only okay, which is why he's on the practice squad. But he can catch a ball out of the backfield. He does have really good speed. I think he ran like a 4-2 something coming out of college. So, my guess is it will be Will Shipley, Damon Pierce, and then either Carson Steele or Jaden Blue. And I would probably lean Carson Steele if I had to pick. Wow. So, do you like the team's travel plans? I know that Jacksonville left yesterday. Jacksonville has an awful lot of experience with playing over there. If I'm the Eagles, I mean, I'd probably just look at what they're doing and try to carbon copy that. But it were not. And they're practicing here. Then there's player availability at two o'clock.

I have no idea when they expect to get on the plane and fly. They're going to red eye this thing and then try to stay up all day on Saturday. Does that make sense to you, Elliott? Yeah, so I actually took like a very similar flight to what they're doing. I left Tuesday night at 10 o'clock. They're leaving tonight a little bit after that. So, they're definitely leaving late. It's about a six and a half hour-ish flight. My guess is the players won't get any more than four hours of sleep just between like taking off landing, right? You're not going to sleep all six and a half hours. That's not good. But, well, I will say, like, I actually arrived much more refreshed than I expected. I think just because of the timing, like they'll land at around 10 o'clock London time. So, they'll go to sleep, and I don't know, midnight, arrive at 10. And then, you know, Wednesday night for me, which will be Saturday night for them. I went to bed early. I got like a really good night's sleep, and I felt fine the next morning. So, I think they actually will be good to go for Sunday.

Granted, I don't have to play a football game, right? They will be, I'm sure, a little more tired than me. But, I will say, like, prior to traveling, I was very skeptical of the decision to leave Friday night. After actually doing the flight and like feeling the adjustment, I can see the logic in it. Wow. We saw the Rams fail doing this idea. Let's just leave as late as possible. I mean, a little bit different. I'm not sure to flight though. It is over twice as long for the other Friday night. Oh, three times. They got in. Almost to the right. Close to three times. Right before the game, compared to their opponent, the 49ers who were all weak. I mean, yes, this is a much less obvious difference, but it's the same concept applied. And I was always taught, I coaches and everyone else, that the night before the night before, is your most important night for sleep, your most important night for hydration and everything else. You know, like, you can't cram it all in just the night before.

I will say it's a little worried about it. Well, I get it, but it is a tricky balance because they also are trying to nurse 5 million injuries with doctors and fully. And the other part of the, you know, all that stuff. Yeah, the other part of this, I know they took into consideration, which is different from Jacksonville, because I agree with you, Richie. Like, they do it a lot. You would obviously want to lean into how they've done it. But the Jaguars are staying in London and playing a game, right? Like, the Eagles are playing next week. Next week, you mean they're playing again next week is the point. Correct. Yeah, yeah. Right. Sorry, they played two straight games in London. The Eagles come back to have to come back to Philadelphia and play Sunday at one o'clock. So, you know, yesterday, which would have been my Sunday in this term, like, I didn't feel fully adjusted yet. And I think that if they flew home after the game, which they're going to, like, I do think actually they'll arrive on Monday, not feeling completely warped. Like, they might feel devastated from the loss, but they might, I don't think they'll feel like warped in a time frame perspective. All right, Beatta Hammer coming up in five minutes. Let's give you the contest line right now. We'll take to fifth caller on the contest line. You'll be a competitor in Beatta Hammer. You'll be a loser, because you are a loser. Wow.

But you'll, you'll officially be deemed a loser in Beatta Hammer in five minutes. Caller number five. Did you just call everybody a loser? Those that are calling are losers because they think they can do something they can't. I mean, at least you well knew not to jump for that alley you've last night. But all right, 445, 544, 8300. That's the contest line number caller number five, 445, 544, 8300. Beatta Hammer in a moment. Elliott, give me an answer to this Twitter poll question today. It's brought to us by Armageddon Chevrolet. Armageddon's year-end clearance event is on now. All 2026 leftovers are discounted for immediate sale. Visit armageddon.com. Elliott, for a poll of who needs to pick it up and play better to beat Jacksonville? We could have had coaching in the poll. It would have won the poll. But we don't have coaching in the poll. I don't think it merits. We could have had the old line in the poll. But frankly, I don't think it's very likely they put it together and pick it up their first week together with this group.

Here are two that have had major pass accomplishments, Elliott. Of these two, who most needs to play better for the Eagles to win versus Jacksonville? Hurts or the defense? It's a great question. I can see an argument for both sides. Part of me wanted to say defense. There's more talent there. Have your best players play their best football. But I will say Jaylen. I think even with as poorly as things went last week. If Jaylen just turns in a C game, they might win that game. I think Jaylen really struggled last week. Going up against Jacksonville on Sunday. Jacksonville wins by winning the turnover battle. They force a ton of turnovers on defense. And they win by winning on third down. Now, obviously the Eagles offense has really struggled on third down. And they've not been great in the turnover department. So I'm not expecting that to change in a major way on Sunday. But if Jaylen takes care of the ball and is, you know, even just like 45-40% on third down. I really do think this Jags team is beatable.

I don't think they're the juggernaut that maybe we're viewing them as simply because of how they're doing. Because of how bad it's going with the Eagles. So, you know, if the defense can hold them to like 17 points. I do think Jaylen, if he plays his best game, can get this team into the 20s. All right, Elliott. One final thing here is we got Pete Tehamer and coach Camille coming up. But John and I have been in a tug of war all week over the identity issue. Based on what Nick said after the game on Sunday. I want to play audio when we address this with Nick this week. And then you tell us fair or unfair to tag Cereani to blame that they clearly don't have an identity. He admitted it. I think it's not fair to tag him. John thinks it is. Let's listen to exchange we have with Nick earlier this week. A lot of people are making something of your quote yesterday, the identity quote. It didn't bother me at all. I wish you had an identity. But I understand when you don't know who the players are. It's difficult to forge that identity and you find it on the go as things develop. And as you know, who plays. Am I right or are people wrong to be? Or are they right to be criticizing you for not having an identity right now?

No, you know, every team finds an identity as they go through the season. You know, and that's regardless. I mean, 2024, we were finding an identity at that point of the season. Right? And identities are fluid. You know, it's, hey, this is what we're doing good. Oh, that shifts because people start to do things that take it away. And it opens up another avenue like. But you still have those things and you're just, you're just always searching for that. You know, what you do the best. That's something you ask every game plan week every day. What do we do the best? Okay, let's do it. And sometimes that's very clear early in the season. And sometimes it takes a little bit of time to get to it. What's the role in Elliott? Yeah, so I will say like they've brought this identity thing up almost every year. So this is not really like a new thing in terms of Nick talking about it. But I would say that one of the reasons they're having an identity problem right now,

if you want to call it that is they wanted to run this new offense. Now they're in season. They're not really running it because it's not working when they're running it. And I think they tried to put an offense in that didn't play to jail and strengths. So when I think about who they are right now, like I don't know because they want to be this new thing. I think they should still just be the thing that's always worked for them. But another interesting part of this is think of how much things have changed since you asked that question. Like they lost lane. They lost cam, right? Devante, Sequon, Dante, and Wix. So you know, the team that's going to fly to London tonight. Like their identity can be whatever it wants at this point. Like they are almost a completely new team in a lot of ways. So I think the issue with the identity is about the offensive philosophy and trying to like fit a, you know, I can't I'm going to botch the expression, but like try to run an offensive that they're not really meant to run square. I think that's how you're going to play. Yeah, there it is. I feel like if I mess it up, it would come off wrong. I'm like, let me just go away from that one. What was what it was. But yeah, I think the identity thing is about the offense and trying to be something they're not on that side of the ball.

Ali, enjoy London body. Bring home a victory and a great coverage over there. You're part of the midday show again today. Yeah, I'll be on today. And let me say one more thing. Like Joe, they need you every week, but now more than ever, Philly sports need you. Go get that W for the people, right? Well, Joel certainly didn't come through last night. So I'll make sure I do. Thank you, Elliott. Stay well, buddy. All right, so more with Elliott from 10 to 2 today, the Joe and Hugh show with Elliott from London, which is super frickin cool. All right, let's play a little gamer. In this case, a big one with a lot on the line. We call it beat the hammer. Beat the hammer. It's time for beat the hammer. On sports radio 94, WIP. Alrighty, with 322 wins a mere 53 losses. We welcome Darnell to the show. Darnell today is playing for a WIP T shirt, but even more importantly for the honor of beating the hammer or the designer of looking like a fool to the Delaware Valley. Good morning, Darnell. Hey, how are you, Joe?

Darnell, would you consider yourself a fool? Not at all. I don't think you are either, but you know what I think you are? Not as good. It's sports trivia. As the hammer! Darnell, stop it away, buddy. Good luck to you. I'm rooting for you, Darnell. Yeah, we all are. Yeah, thanks for there. I believe in you, man. I believe in you. This is, is this your first time playing beat the hammer? Yeah, I listen to it all the time and hear Joe clowning everybody. So I can look it up just to follow. Yeah, I will say of all the, of all the like fifth callers on the contest line, Darnell was definitely the most surprised that he was the call. He's like, wait, it's me. You're talking to me. It was really great. It was good. This is super. All right, is he safely in sconce? Uh, I guess. All right, Darnell, you ready to play a little game? I'm not coming any clearer. Can you guys hear me? You sound great. Yeah, sounds good. You can play a little game and call beat the hammer, Darnell. I'm ready. Let's do it. All right, our category for the week with the Eagles in London.

We're going with a little international flavor today. So foreign players or teams, whatever related to Philadelphia. So it all has to do with foreign stuff and Philadelphia. You ready to roll my friend? I love it. Clock will start. Here's the first questions. Finish me. Ask here. We go question number one. The flyers have had two goalies in their history who were born in Russia. Name one of them. Oh, boys. Oh, boy. Okay, I have some of this one. What African country is Joel and Bede from? Moroby. This current Philly's player. Oh, man. Yeah, this. This current Philly's player is the first major league baseball player ever to hell from the country of Peru. Name him. Yeah, I'll go to the next one. The offensive player on the 2017 champion Eagles was born in Nigeria.

Nigeria. Um. Was it awesome? In what year did the flyers face and beat the Russian Red Army hockey team? Russian Red Army team. Um. 98. Time. Oh, darn out. Tough cat. Tough cat. Tough cat. Well, it's a. We'll put you on hold. We'll wave the hammer back in. He's. He's hiding. He's hiding while running. That's good. That's what we want on a radio show. Yeah. Now he was ducking behind one of the like the service technicians who was walking. Stealth. I'm not sure why. Oh, that was a stealth. Sure. Uh. Uh, self, sir. I didn't know for Seth. Seth in media. That owns for you, buddy. All right, Darnell. How did he do? You ready? Sure. Guys, I call you Benny instead of hammering her in this.

You Benny. You ready? Uh, Benny's ready. All right. Here we go. Here we go. By the way, you know, you know who was not ready last night? Joe Ellen beat. Oh, yeah. And all jokes aside related to a preseason game that doesn't matter. It is a reminder that I mean, he can stink sometimes. So thank God he's not the most important player anymore. But for those who missed him arguably fifth, most important player. Yeah. I mean, for those who missed it, I can't begin to describe to you how deflating it was for me to see if you will play that bad. I mean, that it was it was it was. We can tell you've brought it up like eight times today. I know. I know. Honestly, this might be the most like we've ever talked about a non-Eagles preseason game. I would agree with that. Yeah. Yeah. All right, let's rock and roll. I'm going to go right for the week with the Eagles in London. We're going with an international flavor. All questions have to do with farm players, foreign teams related to Philadelphia. All about foreign and Philadelphia is our category. I'm thinking Peter's Flappoda. I love fears. Well, you're right, you're all sure.

Claude will start soon as the first question is finished being asked. No, real quick. I need a clarification. Yes. You said foreign or international international and Philadelphia. You'll so cat. So Canada's not part of this. It's not. It could have been. I didn't. It's not. It doesn't matter. I'm just asking the difference between international and outside the US. All right, you're right. Canada is in. It is. Yes, it is international. Sure it is. Of course it is. It's a different country. It's a passport. Yeah. Okay, so it's anything but America. Anything. Yes, exactly. Are you right, you're all here? Sure, sure. Question number one. The flyers have had two goalies in their history who were born in Russia. Name one. Bruce Gelloff. What African country is Joelle and Bede from? Cameroon. Cameroon. This current Phillies player is the first ever MLB player to hell from the country of Peru. Name him. From Peru. I'll say, so say. What offensive player on the 2017 champion Eagles was born in Nigeria? Did you say offensive player?

Yes. I'll say, Jay Ajay. In what year did the flyers face and beat the Russian Red Army hockey team? 76. An easy three-nothing victory. Okay. All right. Hey, Sue Sluzardo is from Peru, first ever. And Nelson Aguilar was born in Nigeria. Okay. All right. All right. I thought you got that right. Yeah, I still have seven seconds left. Jay Ajay was born in Britain. Well, with my seven seconds, let me say this. You know what? I was going to crank it up. All right. You know what? I got a couple wrong. I got a couple wrong. That was a great one there. I still won. I still won. Did you say that? But you know, we're going to need to get a tie, right? I'm going to get a tie in the ring. Yeah. Yeah. I'm going to get a tie. I said, yeah. I said, yeah. You know, I said, yeah, yeah. I said, yeah, yeah. I got a tie. I said, yeah. Maybe, you know, he was born in Nigeria? I said, yeah. I said, yeah. Okay. Yeah. I said, yeah. Yeah. What's the difference between the two teams? I think that I'm going to win right here. What happened to you? Uh, brain freeze.

They were tough. They were tough ones. Yeah. The international thing. Yeah. That was unexpected. i was i uh... as the hammer i will accept that with glee as joda camera i will say me joda camera does not try to act that way but the hammer does kind of go into that mode from time to time darnel i kicked your ass but because you took it like a man i'm gonna award you that uh... i think it's right that are not really that class act don't know his darnel you know we love you your great-caller your bad contestant which for me is a good contestant a good loser as i like to call you and with that don't know i'm gonna get your head are you are now victory three twenty three three two three and with that i'll be back to get you i hope you are love it don't know that we should i don't know what you put your whole to get your information and with that we shot it beat the hammer on sports radio ninety four w i p all right
