4:11It didn't make sense in terms of he looks like he should be able to play faster, quicker, better because he is, you know, at a great weight for him. Yeah, you know, as light as he's been since his rookie year, it just seems pretty obvious that he can't do the things he once did. Well, that's clear. He was in there for six minutes longer than LeBron and Jalen Brown last night. He ended up with six points. Yeah, I mean, look, he's always been a slow starter. We know that about Joel. And when I say slow starter, I mean to a season. I mean back from an injury. Like he there's always those five or 10 games where he just kind of stinks as he's ramping back up. But like holy hell last night was particularly bad. So we'll take your thoughts on what stood out to you. But you got to think about what is expected from him now. It's nothing like it was before. It's not as good as he used to be. No, he's not. But the guys around him are so much better than they used to be. That's right. That's right. The way that they moved the ball last night, the quickness, the sharpness on the passes and you know, having LeBron out there.

I mean, they really might not make the playoffs, but, but they might. I mean, there's this. I mean, we've gotten phone calls this week. They're going to win five games. We had a phone call from a guy there to go. They said they're going to pick in the top five of the draft, which they could.

6:18I don't think they will. So let's get into it here today. 215 5 9 2 9 4 9 4. John, your thoughts on this game. Eagles and obviously a very improved Jacksonville. Jacksonville. Jackson team. It's in London. It's in two days. What do you think? I don't know if you took a gander at the injury report. Oh, I did. It. It's real bad. It's real bad. And you know what? The Jags have a lot of injuries to, but when I look at this list with. John, John, David and Wix. That's surprised. I saw that one. Two, John. It just keeps getting worse. Doesn't it? It's like a contagion that's spreading throughout this team.

7:29That's it's really rough. Some. Look, I. You got to push through a lot of things. There are times where it feels like when things get really bad. I'm not saying that. Guys push through less. And I'm not saying we're to that point yet, but this is the fifth game. And the. What you're what I've heard is that there's a somber. Paul over that note, not even called over the facility. I don't know. Just reports. Maybe it was on NFL live yesterday. Maybe it was a tenor. Some per. Well, no, I mean, that's certainly contributes. That that strikes home for me. The way we feel is sort of being echoed within that building. The guys are, you know, guys are hugging each other at lockers, you know, consoling one another with the departure of lane. And that does affect your mindset and the way you get ready. I look at where we are in terms of injuries and mindset.

8:32And then I look at where the Jacksonville Jaguars are. They got in Liam Cohn, their head coach, exactly what we hoped to get in Nick Sireani. A young really sharp offensive mind whose way ahead of the game, Colin plays, encouraging his guys, setting a tempo, creating new looks vastly, new looks, week to week that build off of the previous week. Nick, the guy is a rock star. And it's just beginning. He's got his team playing at an elite level. You know, last year you could see flashes this year, holy cow. And it's, and it's not just on his side of the ball. What he's doing with Trevor Lawrence is spectacular because Trevor Lawrence has had more talent in the world for the entire duration. He's been in the league, but he hasn't done anything with it.

9:33It's been the whole story of potential means you haven't done anything yet. Well, now he's doing now Trevor Lawrence is locked in now Trevor Lawrence. I mean his stats. I'll tell you about it when I get a chance to find his plan. He's playing a lot better than he ever has. And I've generally been on a way better. But here's the thing. The other side of the ball. The other side of the ball with this Anthony Campanelli defensive coordinator, a guy trained under Brian Flores and Vic Fangeo in Miami. That past defense is tied for first in the NFL with only three touchdowns allowed through the year in 2026. Six interceptions already is tied for first in the NFL. The total QBR against is third in the NFL at 51. They communicate unbelievably well. Remember what it was like last year when we could lock people down in that secondary. They're doing it with scheme. Yeah, they've got a lot of talent too, but great communication. It's simple for them. Hard for offenses to figure out what you're looking at. This is going to be a problem for Jalen Hertz.

10:47Yeah, very tough spot. Look, we'll take your calls guys at 215 59294. Obviously on the sixes with Juel's performance and LeBron's debut on the Eagles. I'll say this. I do think the Eagles will lose. Now, I don't think things are as dire both for the game and the season as the chatter this week has seemed to indicate for one thing on the season. Let me just say this. The vast majority of the Eagles injuries are short term and relatively short term. Now Lane is gone. Okay, just gone. And we have no idea when Dickerson comes back. It will be good. No clue. But everyone else is expected back and most are expected back either this Sunday, the following Sunday or the following Sunday. I mean within about three weeks, they should have the vast majority of their team ready to go. And that gives me a lot more hope unless they have more injuries to other guys for sure for sure. And so that gives me more hope for the season than I think people are thinking about at this stage. That's number one. Now the game. Look, I think there's three clear areas where the Eagles need to improve. And I am not going to include the coaching. I know you listening may. I'm not because that's not the way I feel. I think there's three clear areas Eagles need to improve. One is the offense align. One is the quarterback play of Jalen the last two weeks. A lot worse than he had been.

12:06And the third is the defense. For a moment here, I'm going to push aside the old line because candidly, I do not expect it to be better on Sunday. I just don't. I just think I just think. I mean, even if these guys, excuse me, excuse me, even if these guys grow into the role. I don't think they do it their first time playing together. Yeah, like some of these guys, it's going to be their first start. Some of these guys, it's going to be their second start. And it's against the top play. Yeah, like I just pressure all the time. Yeah, I don't think it's reasonable to expect that the old line goes out there and is like really quality. I don't buy it. Okay. So that tells me there's really two things in play on Sunday to win the game. And obviously, ideally, both will pick up their play. Jalen and the defense. Here's what Jalen needs to do. He's got to get the ball out of his hands faster. I mean, the plays are designed. Drop back. Fire that ball out. I know not every time someone's going to be open. I understand it's tough. I am not sure in that element. He's in a tough spot. I got a call better place. Well, I disagree with that. It's ridiculous. They're reverting to the old dumb stuff. That needs to stop. They said it was a full buy in. They need to, they need to be truthful about that part.

13:15Are you really fully bought in or not because the last two games they haven't. So like a lot of people agree with John some don't. I mean, the reality is though, Jalen has to play better. And I would hope everyone agrees with that because he was tremendous for two games and pretty lousy for two games. So he's got to be better. And then the defense that no one at this point is expecting an elite performance on Sunday. But we were expecting an elite season. Guys, can you be pretty good? Please. Like I'm not saying you got to go out there and be elite for four quarters. But can you be pretty good? I will contend that when they looked good Sunday versus the Rams five days ago, they weren't actually really good. Stafford was just screwing it up. I'm talking about a pass rush. That includes guys like Nolan Smith and Jalen. About Jalen. Hunt getting a sack. Like Nolan Smith and Jalen. Hunter not supposed to be the three top players in the defense. And they aren't. But they are expected to be good players to go get the fricking quarterback. Go get him.

14:15Like if if Trevor Lawrence has improved this much, Nolan Smith and Jalen. Hunt, do your fricking job and go get the quarterback. Now obviously the three guys you want to see shine the most because they're the stars are Quinyon Cooper and Jalen Carter. We don't know exactly what's going to happen with Quinyon. Looks like pretty good chance to play. Cooper is going to play. Jalen is going to play. Nija, big time. And then the complimentary guys fricking compliment. The guys that stink are trying to hold on the safety's fricking stink. They stink. They stink. And that's why you need your good players to play well. Defense has to pick it up.
