Welcome to the Carey Abbott Show, your place for news, views and values you can trust, and relationship insights you need. Now here's Carey Abbott. And here's the truth to you. It's the Lord for life. I'll tell you, as I see stories of people passing away and some tragic stories with drug overdoses and people losing loved ones, I'm grateful for the breath of life. I'm grateful that I know this life is not the end. I'm grateful that I know all the in heaven for eternity, but those losses are still real. And so just want to remind you, if you're going through something difficult, the Lord is there for you. I was reminded of that early, early early in the morning as I was challenged by a headache and I just said, Holy Spirit, I just need your help here. And he really came through. So I want to testify to that. I know many of you have had that experience as well.
Listen, I want to respond to the president's recent speech at the United Nations. He addressed the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly and the message that he gave was very powerful and very important. It was actually shorter than last year. And some keys to it that I want to highlight. Others might be highlighting different things. I won't get into the press passes, the CNN being told they can't be on certain property at the White House. That's an interesting story. I'll address it probably at some point in a larger scale picture. But I think it's important that you get your news directly anyway. And they don't tackle the news. Here's my 10,000-foot view of CNN and MSNBC. And I go into the bowels of news to find you the stories I can tell you. They do not report accurately. And I think it's an issue. When something's not accurate, it sways the narrative.
If the narrative is swayed, we don't have the truth coming out. That's the president's issue. I think it's an important topic. He's not the first one to tell a news outlet, no. And he's not telling them they can't report, which they have a right to do. And the responsibility to do the problem is, is we have a system that has really told these media outlets they can do anything they want. And he's the first one to push back, which is why there is a lot of tension when there are those press conferences. He's been fighting them since the beginning of when he started running. So separate issue for me, that's not a major issue because that's a little squabble that's going to continue. The bigger issues for me are national security, what's going on in the global stage. This week in particular. This was so important because he explained that our American strength and resolve is back. And he declared that under his leadership, America is stronger than ever. And we will use that strength to confront our enemies, protect our interests for bid
communism, reject global control, and always defend our sovereignty. And alone is a shot across the bow for the people who have for decades tried to remove the strength of our nation, the United States of America, and tried to get us into the global world fray, an economy and leadership. And he addresses this head on in some of the parts of the speech, starting out with two and a half centuries after the cause of liberty found its home on this continent. What a great line. I can report to you with pride that America's back are countries stronger today than ever. He goes on to talk about how some of the things he mentioned in the speech, which I think are important to just highlight, were the fact that with we've got midterms coming up, people need to know how to share the good news of what's been taking place. Don't allow yourself to get into an argument about whether people like President Trump
or not. We're just so far past that. That's old news. That's an old story. It's an old argument. It doesn't matter anymore. What matters is what's happening, what's getting done, what policies can we get behind, what does our nation need from him and his team and his team is incredible. Crime rates are the lowest they've ever been. Poverty is the lowest it's ever been. The personal income is the highest it's been in 60 years. I think those are good things to report. If somebody says, well, I'm paying too much in gas, your paying more in gas to free a people in Iran, your paying more because we are telling the worst terrorists on the planet know. And for 47 years, nobody did anything. So this is your duty. This is where you're going to have to sacrifice. But all of these other things are improving. Can we get behind that? Can we make Iran's people give them an opportunity to free them?
Yes, we can. And can we keep the biggest terrorist on the planet from getting a nuclear weapon? Yes, we have. And yes, we will. And of course, that's hard for people to just take that conversation and say, okay, I guess it is pretty good. Don't get caught up in the fray. Start communicating with the people you love who actually are registered to vote. It's time that we start using our words and kindness to share the narrative. He mentions somewhere else in the speech, there's no better example of a danger that was allowed to gather strength in the world's peril. Paral, excuse me, then the number one sponsor of terror. There it is, the Islamic Republic of Iran. From the first day I entered the political arena, I have been unwavering. I will never allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon. And he goes on to talk about that. He mentions later in the speech in America, we just marked the 25th anniversary of the worst terror attack in history. September 11th, which killed 3,000 people just a few miles from here in two weeks, will mark the third anniversary of the October 7th attack in Israel, where terrorists funded
by Iran tortured, mutilated and killed 1,200 very innocent civilians, including dozens of Americans. Iran's supreme leader celebrated that massacre and called it a service to humanity. The same regime slaughtered over 72,000 of its citizens this year. Recently, 10,000 were killed for protesting. Just imagine he said if such a vile regime were ever empowered to carry out large-scale terror attacks from behind a nuclear shield. This was the reality we had to confront, a reality that far too many preferred to ignore. So well said. So well said. These are the things you should remember. Why are we battling with Iran? Oh, but I don't want to pay more in gas. I know. Neither do I. But do we want this fixed? Yes, we do. Is it our duty as mature Americans and just people, made in God's image that we care about this? Yes.
Can we sacrifice something? Yes, we are and we will. And it will be done soon. Right? And by the way, the price of diesel, part of that is because of Ukraine and they're blowing up refineries, which is really another part of the picture and the puzzle that refineries. We don't have enough of them. They were stopped as far as building them and so on and so on. Here's another one. The United States will no longer permit threats to America to gain foothold anywhere. Listen to this in the Western Hemisphere. The first president a long time to think about the Western Hemisphere. And what has he been doing in the Western Hemisphere? Amazing. We'll do a whole show just on the changes in leadership in the Western Hemisphere. And he says, if necessary, we will use our unmatched military might to secure the vital national interests of the United States. We are reasserting American power, including American military power, where necessary in our region and around the world to create a safer future for all of us. Now this is interesting because Greenland is back in the news.
And we're going to address Greenland in just a moment. Let me get through a couple other key parts of this speech. The Cuban regime has also spent decades coordinating with the left wing radicals and communist networks here in the United States. As our State Department has detailed, their cultivated ties to subversive and radical groups, such as the Communist Party, USA and Tifa, and the Socialist Democrat Socialist of America, communism will never be coming to America. Freedom will be coming to Cuba and safety and security will be coming to Mexico. And then the delegates from Cuba will walk out. And then he talked about the getting rid of the drug cartels. He mentions another place in the speech. There's no global government. I can't tell you what a big deal that comment is. There is no global government. And while I'm president, there will be no global taxes. And he talks about it's equally unacceptable that with all the genuine atrocities in the world, the UN's top human rights officials spend their time criticizing the United States
for protecting our children from transgender medialization and transgender insanity and enforcing our immigration laws. The Craven hypocrites of the Human Rights Council have little to say about the persecutions of Christians or the crimes of the world's most repressive regimes yet they want America to open our borders to gangs and criminals from the world's most dangerous places. It is deeply ironic, and remember where he's standing in this speech. It is deeply ironic that the United Nations has an entire institution, the UNESCO group of people and countries devoted to protecting cultural heritage. Yet with their ceaseless promotion of mass migration, these globalists are actively destroying the greatest cultures and most extraordinary heritage in history. And he's talking about worldwide. There is no human right to illegal immigration, but there is a right to remain a sovereign nation. The reason I'm reading part of these things to you is even if you did see this on CNN or Fox or anywhere else that might have played part of this, they're not going to get into
the details of this. This is why I'm going to link you to it, but you can go to Whitehouse.gov to their releases. And there's also a new Trump channel apparently that's going to go 24-7 now from the White House to get their narrative out directly to the people. I think it's important because you can agree or disagree when you have the facts. Otherwise, just feelings about what people tell you about their feelings about what he said, right? That's not good for us people. As adults, we need to get this information directly. He says later the United States totally rejects any attempt to construct a globalist scheme of control for the artificial intelligence being spoken of so much now. Here and after he changed the name. I love this. This is what he does. He changes the name. He changes the narrative. Of course, other people change the names too, right? They gender identity and they do it all the time, but he changes the narrative by doing this. He now has a new name for artificial intelligence called super intelligence.
Here's a clip of why he did that. The United States also told Rejects any attempt to construct a globalist scheme to control for the artificial intelligence being spoken of so much now. Here and after officially called super intelligence, changing the name and that the use of the word artificial makes intelligence fake. It makes it sound fake and it is not fake. It's actually amazing, but we have to be careful. In fact, it is exactly the opposite of what it purports. From this point forward, all of United States documents and hopefully the world will be changed to use the much more accurate term super as opposed to artificial. So it's super intelligence. In other words, welcome to the new world of super intelligence dash SI. SI. Let's see if that goes. It sounds much better.
It is much better and it's much more accurate. Let's see if I have any power. Maybe I do and maybe I don't. We're going to find out pretty soon. Super intelligence, every major new technology brings challenges and super intelligence is no exception. Yet the very same people who said, will all be dead in 12 years because of global warming. And name since reborn to climate change because the planet was cooling not warming. And nobody was dead. These are the same people that are now saying that AI is going to kill us all, that robots are going to attack us, and that everything is going to be a total disaster. The same group of people. This is the group that came up with the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax, the Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine hoax, climate change, open borders. Whoever wins AI, you have to remember this. And now I say whoever wins SI, whoever wins, super intelligent wins.
That's the group that wins. And we're leading now over China by a lot and everyone else. And we're going to keep it that way. We're going to keep it very, very straight and very strong. I'm not going to stifle growth of something that will be bigger than the industrial revolution. We say bigger than the industrial revolution or the Internet itself. And we will be very careful, and that's why we have a Department of Justice that we've already used it, having to do with this very subject and used it very powerfully. Everything worked out very well and very quickly. And other law enforcement bodies that will rain things in if we have to do that. But we will only encourage superintelligence. We're going to encourage it, not rain it in. We're going to watch it closely through the Department of Justice. The United States leads the world in superintelligence and will continue to do so safely and responsibly. Americans have never been a nation that retreats from a frontier or shrinks from a challenge,
no matter how great or how daunting that challenge may be. So we talked about AI and the conversation and now SI and the fear mongering that went on. And if you didn't hear that show, I invite you to go back and listen to it because the history of any corporations or organizations or businesses that ask the government to regulate them. We've seen it over and over again. And indeed, it is a pattern whereby those who want some say in the regulation and giving them more control and the ability to keep others out of the profits. And by the way, money is an issue here. They're losing money. So this is not a surprise and it was all ramped up quickly. And if you again, if you did not hear that show, go back to it. But this is the responses. No, we are pushing forward. And I thought that was really wise. I think it's really important for our national security and future innovation.
Listen, we're going to take a quick break. We're talking about the president's speech before the UN, that body that was created a long time ago. We'll be right back. I would look for the whole transcript and then watch some of the video, do what you can, to get the facts in front of you, share it with friends. It's important that we understand what's going on. Part of the speech, he mentioned that we are reasserting American power, including American military power, where necessary in our region and around the world to create a safer future for all of us, which I find to be a very good thing because, well, I trust that this leader, this president, this man, understands how to do this well.
And he's proven himself over and over again to make deals that are good for the American people, but also creates safety for other nations. I found an article on this. There's several that I have to link for you, one at townhall.com from Kevin McCalla, who has his own show, does a great job. He's been on the show before. He's rather pitty and funny as well. And he understands these topics really well. He says, well, you have to admit it. He outfoxes just about everyone, just about every time. And it keeps landing the same way to America's gain. Remember when he says Trump first floated the idea that America might make Greenland more prosperous, more secure, and do something Denmark hadn't managed in generations, actually invests in the welfare of Greenland's own people. Remember the freak out that followed I do. Trump wouldn't rule out taking the island by force, even against a NATO ally. And for a while, it genuinely rattled the alliance. Cable news ran segment after segment, treating the whole thing as evidence that the president had lost the plot entirely.
Danish officials remember this issued stern statements. Pundins reached out for words like unhinged and imperialist. This week we found out what the noise was actually covering for. On Friday, the United States Denmark and Greenland announced to finalize security agreement. And signed by all three governments this week at the United Nations General Assembly, seeing the expected parliamentary approval in Copenhagen and NUCC, Trump described it as giving the US, quote, permanent control over security and all other needs in Greenland. And said his administration would immediately begin developing a larger American military footprint on the island in which in whichever locations make the most strategic sense. We'll get back to that. There's state Mark Rubio called it a historic deal and a huge win or a huge. And for once, that's not just White House spin, right? The agreement bans any not on NATO nation from building a base in Greenland.
It blocks adversary investment in the territory and it guarantees in writing that China and Russia, both of whom by the way, have spent years eyeing the Arctic as their next great power staging ground. They get locked out entirely. Denmark's prime minister, Fredrickson, made a point of noting that the deal recognizes the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Greenland and Denmark both. That detail matters and conservatives should be glad of it. This was never actually about America annexing anybody's homeland. It was about forcing a slow walking ally to finally take the Arctic security threats as seriously as Washington already did. And without the U.S. having to fire a shot or spend a decade of fruitless committee meetings to get there. He goes on now think past this news cycle because the real significance of this deal isn't measured in weeks. It's measured in decades. Greenland already hosts a space base home to one of the most important early warning
radars America possesses. It's a system built to detect and track ballistic missiles the moment they leave the ground. They're fired from Russia's Arctic bastion or the new Chinese silo fields aimed at our eastern seaboard. Again, friends, these are things we don't think about, right? Geography made Greenland strategically priceless long before anyone in Washington said the words golden dome out loud. The shortest path for a nuclear-tipped missile between Moscow and mine out North Dakota. Or between Beijing and our coastlines runs directly over that island. Trump himself put it plainly if there's ever a war, much of it gets fought in the sky above that piece of ice. Now with this agreement locking in a permanent expanded American presence and permanently excluding Russia and China from ever gaining a foothold there, that early warning tracking capability becomes something our children and grandchildren inherit rather than something future administrations have to renegotiate from scratch every year.
That's not abstract. Every additional minute of warning time in ICBM detection system buys the president of the United States is a minute spent deciding how to protect American cities rather than reacting blind. A system with eyes over the Arctic doesn't just watch Russia and China. It's part of the same layered architecture meant to eventually track and intercept threats from anyone raising towards long range missile capability. Rogue regimes included locking that infrastructure onto secured allied ground for the long haul is exactly the kind of decision that doesn't pay off in singles news cycle. It pays off into in 2045 in 2060. In whatever decades some future adversary decides to test how seriously America still guards its own skies. And that's the pattern worth notice and he said because it's not new. Trump floats something that sounds outrageous. The press treats as proof of instability foreign governments posture for the cameras and
then quietly out of the spotlight actual diplomats spend months doing the unglamorous work of turning outrage into signed agreement. By the time the ink dries the loudest critics have usually moved on and nobody circles back to admit that the quote unhinged idea just became you official US and NATO policy. And look at what America actually walks away with here. A permanent expanded military presence in one of the most strategically vital regions on the planet. The exact stretch of Arctic that both Moscow and Beijing have spent the last decade maneuvering to exploit as polar ice receipts and new shipping lanes open. A binding guarantee that neither adversary gets so much as a toehold there. A NATO ally who finally put real security commitments on paper instead of vague reassurances. And Trump gets to walk into the midterms with a genuine foreign policy winner in his pocket. A deal that strengthens the alliance rather than fracturing it. Precisely the opposite of what everyone every talking head predicted 18 months ago.
And Canada benefits from a more secure Arctic. Europe benefits from a check on Russian ambitions creeping toward the pole. Greenland's own residents get the investment and security architecture and Denmark arc alone was never going to provide that. And American taxpayers get all of it without writing a check to buy an island outright. Which was never realistically on the table no matter how many headlines insisted otherwise. And this he says and he's so right this is such a great article isn't it? This is part of Trump's negotiating style his critics still refuse to understand. After nearly a decade of watching it it work. He's willing to look reckless for a new cycle or two if it moves the actual negotiation to where it needed to land anyway. He's run this play many more times than anyone can count and it keeps producing the same result. America's more secure adversaries are more boxed in and the people who mocked the opening bid conveniently quiet once the deal gets signed.
Say what you want about the method the outcome speaks for itself and it's sitting on a signing table at the UN this week for anyone willing to actually look. It's right. It does make me laugh because we've been seeing the same play over and over and over again. It's part of the reason why this man is in this position. He is uniquely designed to do this. Most of us wouldn't even think of doing it this way. We wouldn't even allow ourselves to do it this way. Yeah. He's living in agreement with his divine design friends and sometimes that can be a little confusing and a little messy and well again not the way I would do it but our job is to pray and ask God to give him wisdom and insight knowledge and understanding and think God for putting him there to protect not just our nation but the world because that's indeed what is taking place on a regular basis isn't it so good to be with you. Really good to have another win to talk about many good things happening and let's start
getting our narrative together. We need to help support what's going to take place in those midterms friends. Don't set that aside. You brain about that as well. We'll see you next time.
