From the studio that brought you one to vision, I was an Avenger, but I'm not a hero anymore. On October 14th, the vision returns for the final chapter of the groundbreaking trilogy. That family wasn't real. You sure about that? I had a father called Vision. How is this possible? Don't miss the two episode premiere of Marvel Television's Vision Quest. Nothing bonds a family together quite like Mortal JAPANY. The streaming October 14th, only on Disney+. Flawing ad bunched on metrics that look great, till the CFO sees them, that's Bullspend. This episode is brought to you by Google Chrome. You think you know a browser, but Gemini and Chrome? That's new. It can help you with practically anything on the web, like restoring a vintage motorcycle from a 50-page restoration block. Or finally break down that long article you've had open for weeks. Gemini and Chrome is here for it. Ready to make anything online makes sense? There's no place like Chrome. Check responses set up require compatibility and availability. Very 16 plus. It's Friday Live and it doesn't get live and it's nail-ackened with Josh Sexton with Abigail Rookkin and with John Gibbons. And when I say it doesn't get live and there's low to reasons why it doesn't get live, one is that we are an agendaless show. I've the accountant this morning. It's not at all, you know, Sextrux and Ruck and all. It's clearly not. It's not Josh by the state. That was it is excessive. Not much sex. See much account. Very little fucking role. But that's for the drugs. So there's no agenda but flying through is the plan of flying through all the way on this.

But we know because we all know football, we all know Manchester City and that's going to be part of the argument, the discussion that's going to be had over the course of this show. But we're also doubly live because we're live. I'm live, Neil Ackinson is live. Josh Sexton is live. Abigail Rookkin is live and we're live on the Amfield wrap. But even live is Mr. John Gibbons ladies and gentlemen. He's double live. He has live himself to the extent that he's going to walk off Jordan this show to go on five live with Adrian Childs and John. It doesn't get much live on that. No, at first I said no. I thought it can't be done. Then I was like, John, you need to push yourself. Yeah, it's you and it is. So we'll be Mr. Fry now. Someone has to Mr. Fry more on as well. Exactly. So we said no. I don't know when I got on. Let me try and bake this happen. So we said to you day late to up to you with the accountant literally. You did lunch on the show. I've run some past you and said, do you think, do you think we can do it? Can I go and speak to Adrian Childs live, Jordan Fry, the live on five live. Yeah. And you went, let's just push the boundaries and let's just do it. Let's just make it happen.

It's rare to say this about any other human job, but he could also be the best in the business. In childs. Yeah. Yeah, he's very good. Yeah, I mean, he was a big part of my decision making process. It was Nick Campbell. No fucking way. No, no, no. I won't get out of there for Nicky. No, no, no, that in the past I haven't. If he's Nicky Campbell. The way I think about Nicky Campbell is he pretends you've rang him. And I'm like, fuck off, Nicky. First of all, points of order. You rang me. So don't be pulling this. Why are you ranging? John, I haven't. Shut up. So that's the way I think about Nicky Campbell. I mean, he does it very much better from there. But Agent Charles, touch a class. Touch a class. Unbelievable in the Guardian. Week in, week out. Yeah. Exceptional. Exceptional work. You name and he's written about it, John. Yeah, no he has. And I'm hoping to get into some of those subjects once we've covered Liverpool Man City. Yeah. We'll get through that in about 30 seconds. And I'll be like, where are we up to? Well, how's the autumn looking? What's the concussies and looking like? Yeah. Because you'll have opinions. You will. I'm hoping to inspire his next column. I'm going to give him three or four different talking points from Autumn.

Abby's coach. And Abby's coming with a great coach. She's not going on now. I've hit her. Autumn's well, Abby. She does. When you do, I do. I'll show you me coated. We'll do lovely. So, so that I'll give that, given that as an option. I'll give him three or four to see what he wants to remember. Okay, excellent. That is all to come. But we are building up Abby for the weekends. We're building up for Man City. And I just actually, you know, keep talking about on the media. I did something with them. They were saying, and it's said to me, the whole nation's looking for Liverpool, looking to Liverpool. They are to really make a point of Manchester City. Do you feel additional pressure about that? I said, hang on a minute. I said, in 2018, we all thought they were cheats. And we were going to the grandmothers attitude of the fact that we think the cheats. In 2019, we thought they were cheats. I could go on, Abby. And I will do it with a course of the show. We thought they were cheats. So this whole, all the whole nation's looking to Liverpool. I'm sorry. We're looking to you. Because all the way through when we were saying these people are cheating, you were saying, yeah, but if you win the league, you'll be unbearable. So we want them to win the league. My attitude towards Sunday, Abby is as a showcase for the bloodlust of the nation. The nation can fuck off.

It's all versus Manchester City. And I'm not here to satisfy Gary Neville's primal errors. I mean, the majority of the country, I mean, I've still had Evertone, you're saying that they still have this. Oh, it's all for blues. Yeah, but blues don't really count when we're having this discussion about the nation. They never do. They've took it to Bobby C. Got their own problems this morning when it comes to ownership. So they got to stick together, the points, the reduction lads. Yeah, exactly. That's probably what it is. And also the fact that they hate us, but yeah, I'm not really doing it for the nation. I couldn't really care less for the nation. For me personally, it's me reliving all those moments that they've taken away from us over the years. And wanting to just edge that anger from those titles that we didn't win in those last games of the season, where we could have won the league. And then the knock-on effect that I'd honest in the Champions League final all that, that's all build on up inside of me. I couldn't care less. Well, man, you know, fans were thinking what Gary never was thinking about it. I couldn't care less. It's about me and my own personal rage towards them. And obviously you can make the point that a lot of these players win around at the time,

when all this was going on, but surely, you know, I'm what it means to us. And surely this is a really good point for them to make and to, you know, have that sort of anger about them. Well, footballers themselves talk about they have a sense that they build on what's come before. So I'm not having the whole, oh, well, it's nothing to do with them because they went there during the specific time period. But also the reason I've looked at this time period is Josh. It's the one that's been investigated. Other time periods may be available. And so far nothing's got nothing's got on there. But also you build and that's literally part of being a football club. It's part of how football clubs operate and some people don't like that. And I can sort of understand why, but you don't start seasons again. Like it's not like you meet every footballer for the first time on the first day of every single season. Seasons don't exist in vacuums. The builds on one another. So I'm not sort of interested in any of that. And also I'm just for me genuinely, I'm thinking about this season and I'm very future focused in that I feel that this could be a Matt Premier League season. And I would love us to create a wave on Sunday of our madness and ride it all the way through the rest of the season with this new, exciting manager who seems very sound.

Yeah, and also like the whole idea that like this only can exist in a vacuum is just flawed anyway because like City are built now on the history that managed to develop during this period that they've been investigated for. So like even even with that like I made a point during the World Cup, where me and John were doing one of the lives. And I was saying about like how Thomas Tuchel coming into England is a good sort of transition from Gareth Southgate. So I think particularly in modern football people tend to especially managers to be honest tend to look at like that tend to look at it like. Oh, like one manager's gone. You rip it all up and you just go again with with the new manager. And I think like that is that cannot be the case here in Man City because again, if the nation is looking to anything to try and score on Man City. It shouldn't be letting them off with like, oh yeah, don't worry about the future. I would just want to take all the all the past away from them. There should be a punishment for the future as well. So I'm with you. I've been saying like because there is there's a part of me that's like I'm maybe not feeling the anger. I know you've made it this this point on a couple of shows about how I still loved that time.

So like I take Abbey's point about like there is there is an anger somewhere within me about some of that. But also like it doesn't take away from anything that I like felt during that time and I felt it because the pool had to be that good as well. And so like that's that's the bit I'm like looking at now. But also like I don't I don't really take that on Man City fans unless there's ones that are obviously being nobeds if you want to start talking about other media that you've done the past 24 hours. If there's ones who are being like deliberately cheerleashing and a bit like almost like all the worlds against us. Then they're the ones that I will take issue with just sort of break them down. But otherwise I'm like just expel the ownership because that's the sort of thing that can affect the future of them. And I'll kind of be going into it with that like I'm like I don't know what's to come for you in terms of punishment. But I hope whatever it does sort of takes you out of this equation now where it means that the pool of I've got a space to fill sort of looking upwards there because that's why I believe this area all the team can do. Yeah listen I'm looking forward like Josh and I'm looking forward you know like you said it's a season that Liverpool can really attack and it's like you said near it's looking like it was always going to be a bit of a mad season but even more so now bear the mind how I've still got on and the game just before the international break and this thing hanging over city.

So I want to really want to win on Sunday but the main reason it I want to win on Sundays is like the three points please and I'd like to take three points off them and that is the sort of the main thing. And so I'm in future focused in terms of on the pitch and also after as well because I think you know any any punishment really needs to be sort of removing from the league. I've been thinking about it and I think the best thing that Manchester City owners could do would be to give the club to support us and to get handed over to support us just because it's never been about money anyway. So they're not done up bothered about you know we selling it on and stuff like that like the finances are just like it's it's peanuts you know it's it's incomparable to what we can sort of think about it. So I almost think rather than this digging in and this ridiculous press comments the meresco is just done where he's just like you know talking about when we win the appeal I'm going to come back on and I'm like oh I made all the best with that and so you know instead of all this I think the best thing they could do for Manchester City I'm for the supporters is the say listen you know we put on this wildfire to get there we've been found out we're going to walk away we're going to hand it over to you guys and then I think if they were to do that.

I think quite quickly you could sort of get back to normal on it but it doesn't look like they do want to sort of do that from from when they initial say and so instead they're going to have to start rocking up everywhere you know from I'm filled on Sunday but it's not just going to be I'm filled and it and it's going to be sort of level the diamond and that might not be fair on the players who are there now who maybe were there you're Jordan this time period and it might not be fair on the fans or whatever but that's the reality of the situation and our players have to cut for it at Leeds right in the Super League. So it happened before and our players turned up to Leeds United in lockdown a load of Leeds fans came and screamed abuse at the coach but what happened then was you had a club going on the phones of the owners when you need to for consort this house because we're going to get this everywhere and if it is slightly more volatile on Sunday if it is slightly more aggressive and I don't think it's going to be mad you know in terms of the coach meet or anything like that I think that's all nonsense and the idea that city fans need to fear for the safety is just people who shove an attention away from from where it should be. They're going to be from behind the boat say you know the players and the players for the you know it's going to come up on the swords today and it's going to come wherever they go and so city is a football club needs to figure it out.

It's going to be a way for press conference the manager's going to do it's going to play is going to be extra money since next to when Harlan does an interview someone's going to ask you know the meaning in the in the post match whatever happens on Sunday when they go with the mix on someone's going to ask them about it you're in the good to say yeah the idea the gap beats was that playing on your minds it's just coming up over and over again. Yes so what are they going to do about it like what are they what are they going to do about it this idea or just appeal and maybe get off or what if you don't and then what are them what you saw to move and so they need to they need to be realistic but we need to win the game. We need to win the game football. We've already sat Harlan down in this like weird interview that looked like a hostage situation like that that's all right. You know what I mean that it's all ready uncomfortable enough you can already sense that off the players when they're already being asked about it like this isn't going to stop you know Liverpool aren't going to be the only ones that are going to give them rubbish for it and I'm sure. Like I know what you've just said about like it's the atmosphere is not going to be like this astronomical thing in the coach greetings not going to be this horrible violent thing but it does feel like to me.

There's like this narrative being pushed elsewhere now that like oh these Liverpool fans they're going to be aggressive towards the coach you know watch out for copper big bottles and all that start to come on back up again and it just feels like the whole game from a different perspective is trying to be pushed down that way of. Liverpool fans are going to be violent in this instance you know Liverpool fans are going to cause a problem when it's not really use of the problem you've cheated at the end of the day and we're allowed to be angry about it and you are right it's not going to be it's not going to be this horrible aggressive thing they're making it out to be but I do still think that like I'm going to be I'm going to be. I'm going to be standing there. I'm going to be more determined how Liverpool. Yeah absolutely it's going to be about Liverpool it's not going to be about me like shouting awful things are players that way and even there at the time or whatever although you can obviously argue that like. Feel full film should give us better. But yeah you put up but also even like Ruben Diaz was signed to replace Laporte or whoever it was Harlem was signed to replace a Guarro like all these players still exist because the. Yeah exactly it's all enough on effect they won't be where they are right now with the players that they've got right now if it wasn't for all that money that's been funneled into it earlier on in those players that they did.

I mean I sort of really good Fred on Twitter and it was going through like if you took the point away from all the players that the signs and you know what was happened and like one of the seasons he was been relegated and everything that just changes the cause of time. So you know you still allow to be angry at the team they are now whether people keep saying oh well you know it's only up to 2018 every and after that's non cooperation well non cooperation for me is just an absolute joke because. Some city fans are saying it's on par with like you know you can say what Chelsea did but Chelsea handed themselves in basically didn't the Chelsea came forward and said or we've done this you know ever in the times when they were getting in trouble they were saying we think we're going to go over here blah blah that's not what happened there it's non cooperation yeah it makes me even angry it to be fair. I'm hugely entertained John by the you know the for instance that the the built a specific IT portal rather than the files over so they could be copy and pasted. It's that sort of shit that you mean the for me is where you just saw that and if ever the months is he supported genuinely even if it was a month is he's bought to go all the way through this process until now I don't really want to believe that I don't believe that you had the added stuff like that that I'd read and I go.

There's just no need to be not that's no was it the guilty by the wrong words and the own actions and that's really hard to sort of come back one and when you still could argue over you end up then arguing over technicalities and where the rules right and things like that but when it's your own words in black and white and then it's your own. Actions to prevent those words being better on a wider scale then I don't really see you know what the moves are which is why this stuff from a risk is just just more the more frustrating and yeah I guess he's in a difficult situation and what you want him to say it and he's also you know not the biggest problem and he's not even the biggest balance to it to come on record on the last 24 hours but you know enough about the prime minister but I think but I think you call on the plot by the way really happy yeah after that. Yeah, I think the more with the clear so the more the more the more cut in it is also a lot more so you're massively yeah at least I mean it's the child railing is it is in a plan that so we could all sort of crack on and they were best to get behind him as prime minister but I think you know either did you just not in a good situation and there's no way out of it for them and you don't know what to do because obviously his owners they're not used to that but that's why I think the best off just handling the football club over and then they can get back to what they're going to do and yet the best way to do that is to try to do that and then I think you know the one thing is to do that and I think you're the only thing that you can do that is to try to do that but I think you know you're the only thing that you can do is to do that and the only thing you can do is to do that is just doing that and then you can't do that

true passion is obviously which is the V generation of Manchester. We'll have off. John's off, that'll do it. It'll be back in a minute or so. It's going to go in twit. Yeah. See how it goes. It goes from there. He's back. Let's see how he gets on with Charles and kicks himself along. There's things with it. I'm going to bring some of that. I would melt Eddie in in a minute. Josh, Dave Lynch has tweeted here for me the best line of Moreska's presser came at the end when he refused to say if he'd read the verdict and added, my focus is just about football. First of all, because I don't understand many things about different things. Dave Lynch has probably explained his confidence in the appeal. But this is part of you don't get to say that. I think it's unfair by the way that the manager, in a way I'm just think it's unfair that he's asked. Yeah. I think that the club should put somebody else up to sit next to him to say when you ask those questions, I'll answer them and when you ask them about the team, he answers them. I want to be really clear about that. I think it is unfair. This is an extreme example, I think, when you know back to when I was constantly getting in about the contract and he was almost going to really not my job this bit, you know,

with somebody else's job, I think that there's, I think it's unfair. I want to be really clear, but that said, if you're going to put yourself in the seat, say you've got all this confidence, you've got conversations, it's going to end on appeal. You don't get to say, well, I don't know if I've read the verdict, I don't really understand these things at the end, because you've just told all the supporters you're emphatic. And this comes back to me, who actually is accountable, because Moreska would have said there in face everyone. They're not sending sorry on or else, or the chairman, or for that matter, shake man's soul. Yeah, and we obviously had like a sort of microversion of this last season, and we were, you know, we didn't feel like the board signed in a football, and suddenly it was honest a lot, who had to constantly come out and be accountable for that. The trouble is, if honest lot came out and was simultaneously bullish about the lack of no signings, but then also we're saying no comment, would all be like, well, there's a bit of inconsistency, and that isn't there, and that's basically what Moreska is doing here, is that if he was sort of saying, I want to separate my football players and my football team from the actions of the owners, and especially, you know, even I would allow him to say that's the action of the ownership in the past before he came to the club.

Like that level of no comment is fine, as long as it's not sort of followed up by the bullishness, and it's the same with the fans, by the way, as well, like I'm pleased that a couple of times, and these conversations, especially from the Amphur app, that I've heard people, you know, sort of comparing it to the Suarez everything and how we backed the club at a time, when a lot of us have regrets around, you know, back in the club now, around their actions, around defending Suarez, because that's what I'm seeing from a lot of city fans now, especially the ones in the media who have that responsibility as having a platform to not be that, to not be like that, and not be sure they should not be defending billionaires, basically, because that's what we're now in the realms of doing. It's possible to separate Manchester City from the actions of the ownership who thought they would get away with it. I did Tom Farrell for pretty much all, well, subscribe as we ever listened to that, and in Ryan on pretty much all my host deal, to a great job. But I spoke to Tom earlier in the week, and in the end, it was quite annoying, because he was very much, you know, he both covers football as a journalist, covers Manchester City as a journalist, and is a Manchester City supporter,

but he was very much, you know, this report is utterly damning, he was accepting of the verdict and where it ended up. He goes on to the other chat about Premier League distribution of cash, competitive balance, and my attitude to that was, I disagreed with some of what he was saying, but I'm absolutely fine to have that conversation, that's a separate conversation, in a way, but you can't go, which Tom doesn't do, I want to be really clear, they want to misrepresent him for the time, you can't go, but what we did was all absolutely fine, because I think this is an issue. What he said was, what we have cheated, as far as I can say, Manchester City have cheaters, but let's have a chat about competitive balance and the distribution of cash in the Premier League, and I think if you want to be able to move the conversation on as a city supporter, as you say, you know, and it will take a bit of time, and this is another reason why it's not good that I'm fields first, because there's one place where Manchester City supporters come in, with a sense of seed mentality, it's, it's, it's, it's an field. So you're not going to see banners at this point in their way and say, we'd like a change of ownership. If it had been someone else first, then there's a chance that four or five games in, they begin to soften around this and go, you know what, it doesn't look great this does it.

And that's hard, I think, and it's a real shame it does first for that reason. No, exactly, like, I mean, I'm not speaking for all city fans, but it does feel as though what I've seen from the majority of like fan content and stuff, it does feel like there's a bit of a lack of accountability, and they are believing what they're being told. And like, you know, like you've just said, would I be believing Liverpool, if it was also in this situation, would I be hearing the manager say, when we win this appeal, you know, when I'd be going, I'll go, all right, well, you know, is the manager, you must have some, you must have some belief in it, but like you were saying before, I don't have as much sympathy for Mareska, because I think when you know, peps leaving and you know, like they're approaching you to come back and do the job and all that sort of stuff, surely there's something in your mind that knows this is going on, but then it's just another one of these fellas that has a love for Manchester City and believes what he's being told by a gang of fellas who were really convincing clearly to a whole fan base towards that. I know, I'm paying them a lot of money, yes. I do have a great opportunity to coach a big football team. Yeah, of course. But I don't feel sorry for them when he's being sat in front of a microphone saying, I don't know about this.

Like you probably, before you took the job, you probably should have looked into what was actually going on and asked more questions and asked to see, you know, some of the stuff that's coming out sounded though, there was an inkling to what the verdict was going to be in the summer, you know, you've got to consider these things before you say, I don't take on that job, so therefore you've got to answer those questions for me, personally, but yeah, I don't know if it was Liverpool. I don't know, it's a bit different now with everything that went on with the Super League and stuff like that for Liverpool, whether I would say, oh, I'd believe them, I'd back them, but when you're in a situation where they're going on about irrefutable evidence, but you can't really add any more evidence now. You know, in this appeal. You're just trying to point the irrefutable evidence in it, which is actually a sure and a big thing. So why are you holding on to it for this long or why has that not already been considered if you've handed it over, you can't give more evidence now. So it just feels as though the city fans are sort of being dragged along by the ownership, you know, for as long as possible to don't turn on us, you know, try and stay with us as long as possible, because it's over for them the moment there are banners in that away,

and it's over for them you've got to walk away. And I don't know, I don't know if I'd be different if I was a city fan right now, because you've got to hold on to hope as well. Well, that's the thing. There's the thing you're also in about the siege mentality, unfortunately, that has come from the top of city, and I think like people need to use some intuition. And you know, we as football fans, of course, we're going to do the point score thing, we're going to try and take each other's clubs down as well as just watching the team on the football pitch and hoping they win at the end of the day. But you've got to use a bit of intuition to say like, we've all known this is going on forever. And that's where like the mereska thing, I'm wondering if actually this is just kind of like almost the protection isn't there exists in these elite environments. Like it definitely exists in the sort of realm of billionaires where they think they can exploit loot poles to make themselves more, you know, more financially well off them and whatever. But it also exists very much like if there's one of the big problems with elite sports, is it like these sort of teflon environments where people go like, well, I'm good enough at the sports, get away with this or I'm good enough at this to be able to not take any accountability for this, like it doesn't really wash. And when you say, I'll be like, oh, I don't know what it'd be like if it was Liverpool.

We've got scenarios where we as fans have stood up to the ownership when they've tried to make decisions that will probably financially benefit Liverpool Football Club because they don't financially benefit the community outside of it or whatever you think about like furlough and stuff and during Covid, like I'm trying to think of like more extreme examples of that. But that is one example where we all kicked off at the club, especially, you know, us within the Amphir Ratt. But this could relegate them, this could literally lose jobs for people at the club. So sometimes there's probably some people that are thinking I've got to live in this illusion for as long as possible that way they're going to come out of this unscathed. There's a general thing. Yeah, there's a couple comments, why in the WI-73, if family sports group would produce Liverpool's future by getting relegated league to, there would be massive protests to kick them out. Yeah, I know, got to say. I 192, if it was us, we would have driven a family out of the club already. Little bits and pieces like that. A accountability is a difficult thing. It's a difficult thing in football. Here's me from a subscriber show earlier this week talking to Mel Ready about it. We'll be back in a few minutes and we'll find out what a dream was up to as well. I don't know what you think, but I believe football is going to make people more and more cynical

until they can get to grips with its accountability issue. Absolutely. It starts on such a small level and then you see it build up to stratospheric proportions. People have been getting annoyed by quotes, fake quotes being drafted by AI and it completely flooding your timeline. It's everywhere. Regardless of which social platform you go on to, you'll find a plethora of things that are absolutely not real. That are going viral and lots of people are reacting to it, believing it to be true. And that believing something to be true goes all the way up then. You mentioned the Manchester City situation. You see how a large proportion of the fan base have completely disregarded the findings often independent commission.

You see the way the club themselves treat the finding of the independent commission, not least by referring to it as a Premier League commission. But then you look a few steps down and you think, Spurdof Shengley, who recently wrote to Liverpool and asked about the intentions of the consortium, who owned just shy of 40% of the club and wanting to understand matters around governance, the abuse they took for sending that, which ultimately is for the greater good of the club, but also the fan base and all the stakeholders. And you mentioned FIFA, Gianni and Thinthino. And the way he at the moment is handling having to hand over information and documents and messaging over essentially what was trying to sell the World Cup on the cheap.

And he's talking about, you know, being hounded and any way shape or form that people who should be accountable and need to be held accountable can squirm out of it. They are doing so. Neil Hackinson from the Amfield rap here. For the last 80 months or so we've been working really hard behind the scenes to update our app. I say update, but it's almost as good now as thinking of it as a new app. So if you've downloaded the app in the past decided it's not for you, please reconsider, have another little look. If you've had the app, you're not being used with that much, please update. And if you're on there, then please let us know what you think. We're really proud of it. We think it does loads and loads of stuff that we wanted it to be able to do for ages. There's categorization. There's a really good looking home screen on there as well. There's search functionality, but there's loads and loads of other stuff that's there just behind the scenes as well to improve the experience for you and really help us get you the Amfield rap content that you want at the moment that you want it. So being able to have those historical shows on there and making them easily available is very important.

So as I'm being able to directly put and quickly put all of the excellent work that we do both on a Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday for Addy out, but also immediately straight after the game. This has been a process, as I said before, and it's one that's happened in conjunction with our subscribers. And we can't thank them enough for their feedback and their importance. And we want that to continue as well. One of the things we've learned along this journey is that for every three steps forward, every now and again you're going to get one step back and we know that. But we're not together and that's a big part of how we're looking at this. So give the new app a try and then from there, please recommend to all your Liverpool support and friends and say that this thing is very much worth getting on. And with all of us together with the new app with the Amfield rap, we will share the journey. Ryan Reynolds here from Mint Mobile. From the studio that brought you one to Vijay. I was an Avenger, but I'm not a hero anymore. On October 14th, the vision returns for the final chapter of the groundbreaking trilogy. That family wasn't real. You sure about that? I had a father called Vision. How was this possible? I'm losing. Don't miss the two episode premiere of Marvel Television's Vision Quest. Nothing bonds a family together quite like mortal jeopardy. Streaming on October 14th, only on Disney+. We're back. I'm a quarter. I was a child. Good, yeah. Yeah. He's a nice fellow. Any, you just want to go ahead and play football on Sunday. Of course you just want to get it too overheated. And yeah, the city panel was quite sensible. He's talking about watching some football. I was like, how about you now? A little odd, I know. Take it in. Take it in. Take it in. Take it in. It's so not worried. Yeah, yeah. Why should he be? Why should he be? Yeah. You're not going to go to football match. Everyone's attitude. We can all go to football match. It'll be alright.

Yeah. It was all very sensible. Good football will break out. Yeah. And it's good to see that five live is... You can tell it's not Campbell. There's no way you'd have got this from Campbell. Like Biggest Looker. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, the age of child is a football man. The age of anyone understands and he understands how it all works. Yeah, it was from five years. Yeah. Yeah. You're going John, why have you phoned in to give this man some shit? What is your problem, John, with this man's son? He had never spoke to you before. Did he leave it down with your son? Yeah. That's the way you would work. But not with child's class act. It really is excellent to see across the board. That given God, well, representatives we got from here. This was all I'm fine by them. Oh, good. Yeah, it was all alright. Sorry, I should have asked. It's all right. It's good, really. No, no. Don't talk yourself down. Just tell you an excellent throughout. There's no need to do the impression. But we'll move it along. We'll move it along, I think, into the practicalities of the fact that there is a game. I think that they're in good neck. For me, you can't go away from five wins out of five. It's all weird because no one's played for three weeks.

And rhythm will be a thing here across the board. I think there's every chance there's one or two quite mad results over the course of the weekend. Someone gets smashed and you might not have seen it coming or something like that. Because I think it is a long time for these players not to play with one another. It's the longest it's ever been really without it being a summer break. But they are in good neck. The top of the league. They're attacking really, really well. The Guckled players. I don't think you can serve the look of it and go, oh, well, this is going to be a walk in the park for them. Because I just think it's far from that. Yeah, it doesn't all of a sudden become that easy. Just because they've had these charges proving guilty. These players are still absolutely classed. Chair here, I mean, if the end of getting relegated and want to serve some players, there's a few there that I'd like to have a look at together and get. You're still coming up against the quality side. You'll also feel as though they've got a point to prove. They still want to show that. We've won all our games so far. That quality is still in and we're still a team and still a unity. Well, all the media and stuff are trying to prove that this is going to be a break. And thinking there's people like me sat there saying, I'm hard on looks like he's in a hospital situation.

You know what I mean? So it's going to be one of those things where they're going to feel just as up for it as we are. I don't know. There might be a bit of a nervousness about them. All eyes are on them. But they are every single week when you play football. And if it's not this, then it's something else. And we've been talking about this for a long, even before all this charges came out. We were all accusing them of such for so long. So, you know, and a lot of these players weren't there at the time, like I've just said. So for me, I'm just happy to get into the ground and just shout out live up your players to absolutely better than more than I am to aim. I've a go city players themselves. Oh, I think that's going to be our spirit, John, all the way through. But I just think there's a real little thing where they need to find a way through city themselves. You know, the being good this season, I'll say again, they need to find their own way through the game. That's what they're going to try and do. But they've also given up some chances. We're off the back and considering three of them to Sonsland. So for me, this is, it goes both ways this. You know, I think they are attacking really, really well. But if they continue to play as the player, then there could be a lot for us to get at.

And that's what I'm sort of into too. Yeah, we'd be, we'd be fearless not to try and use the whole situation to our advantage here. And that's, you know, they'll be looking to settle. I think that's the key thing that City want to do is settle in the game. And I think that Esco will be taking ten minutes in. If nothing's happened, then we've just passed it around a little bit and then that's completely fine. I think that will be almost their ideal. And so I think from a Liverpool point of view, we need to make sure that that's not happening. And for a lot of these City players, they are quite new and if not really played in a proper Liverpool V-man City game at Aranfield, I wouldn't say, you know, last year was a bit of a funny one. Obviously the atmosphere was poor, I feel like, throughout the season, there was problems with the style of football and the manager and sort of all of that really. And so I'd like them to turn up on Sunday and experience what it was like for City five years ago. Or whether you know, under the source of the club area, you've got to be careful with the years because of the COVID thing.

But I think, you know, you love that sort of style of atmosphere. The 18-20 kind of where it's, you know, a fantastic team and they all look suddenly like they can't play football. And I think from a Liverpool point of view, we've got to accept as well. We don't know the injury situation. This is before the press conference ball would imagine that the manager wouldn't necessarily give a lot of weight here. But if there's no ESAC, for example, then it's going to be a bit of a cobbled together forwardland. I think it is fair to say. So how do you help in those situations? You're less likely to beat a team through great passages of play or through, you know, sustained kind of, you know, great build-up or whatever it might be. It's pressure, it's intensity, it's force-turn-overs, it's getting good players into dangerous situations, through mistakes. You do all that through intensity and through atmosphere. And so I think that is our best way forward on Sunday. So it's using all of this frustration and whatever it might be within the crowds to deliver pulls, benefits and to unsettle this Manchester City team

that like you've just said, Neil, it looks a little bit like it can be unsettled at the moment. I think the part of this that they're wants, for me, it's going to be a matter of what way you can get the gameplays. Because Dave Shown, I did some of the show in Rajas this week on C-Meet, which, you know, I thought was really interesting. Shown was talking about the way they attacked them, scored all the different types of goals, the crushing it well. They're doing well for some pieces. They've got Harlem, the second, six-yard buckstuff. They're able to play clever little moves and clever little combinations. You basically just don't want the game in our half. I think, you know, for us, that's where the aggression, I think it's going to be important in terms of getting them and keeping them pending to their half. As much as humanly possible, even if as John says, there isn't quite the quality that you might like in a couple of areas because of who is or isn't available. I think that's got to be our approach, Josh, in order to make the most of this. Given the fact that they will have Ducco, Semenio, Cherokee and Harland almost certainly will start on for them. Yeah, it's where it's tricky, I think, because trying to talk about the tactical battle, you almost can't help but go back to the mental battle of what that's going to be as well.

I think two things are and can be true here, really, is probably the best time to play City in a sense. Like you've said, it's five wins from five for them, but this could easily unsettle them. It's a false equivalence, but I keep going back to Andy Robertson, said on the overlap recently when he was talking about the poor players, reattained to the death of Diego Jotto because basically what he was saying was, when it was going great, it was a real, like, it was a real, it was a real, boiing thing for them. But then when it was going badly, they were just like, what does matter? Like, I made sure I'd kind of think, and that's the kind of knife edge this could almost exist on for City as well. Where if it's going well for them, that siege mentality thing starts to kick in. But if it's going badly for them, then you could see them just being like, I like to, you know, we might get relegated anyway. How could we be asked about this game? I'm feel this one's gone. Let's go on to the next one kind of thing. And that's on the Liverpool players in the right order, I think, to make sure that intensity is there from the very start. And I hear I all mentioned a couple of games ago and I was pleased he did because I think sometimes football fans, you can either think it's like, again, two things being true.

You can, I think it's like too simple, the football, or that it's like not simple enough and it's something that's beyond you. And it's kind of nice to imagine, come on, go, I think we should probably just start kicking the ball in the goal first, so that we're not constantly on the back goal from there. And if I imagine I'm feel the Liverpool gets the first goal, imagine if I'm feel the if McAllister snaps into a tackle on Turkey, wins the ball back in our half and suddenly they just drop back an extra yard or two because like, oh, these are well up for this today. That's the kind of thing I want to see, like I want to see all the running all those things that kind of like promised on the rear eye all of, because again, like this manager who's come in has spoken about harness in the crowd and harness in the crowd again is a bit of an unquantifiable. But I think it's in the way that John mentions it there where like if you can harness the crowds, you put a little bit extra in your legs where you're like, I feel half hooked, you know, but like I've just said them going mad there. So I want to go again a little bit more. And that's where like whatever cobbled together and I'm sure we'll do like lineups and stuff, but whatever cobbled together versions of from three as we see, I want Barclay to be in it because I want the managers to be able to say to him,

like this is part of the reason you've signed for this football club. And you know what is you've spoken about the atmosphere and stuff. And then to moon years just sees a lunatic to be like this is what you're built for as a footballer, you're built for hearing them going mad and then you just go on a 30 yard run for no reason. I'm going to show them the videos of the Andy Robertson press and be like this is what we want you to do, but to every single time they've got the ball with it gone. I was just going to say it's for the city players, I think it's a bit of a strange one really because I think if it was more recently, I think there'd be a bit more of a kind of a siege mentality amongst them, you know, but we're not talking about trophies that they won over the last two, three years. Yeah, there's the knock on effects where they won the trophies if it wasn't for that. I understand that, but to factor this period, analyzing an area where they weren't even that, I think it's more like you get, you know, you see the reactions from Walter recently when he's asked about it and he's quite sort of prickly. I think for these players, it's a little bit, well, they're not going to take my early titles off me. You know, so I don't think there's that same desire or potential desire to fight for, well, that day when I have trophies,

what did these were our achievers that they're trying to take after me? If you're a city player who's already in the last one or two years, you're more likely to think, well, where am I playing next year? And it's more likely to be a little bit of that for me, go like, well, you know, I'm not that buzzed about, you know, whether the lead title gets taken up man's 60, 10 years or not. I'm more worried about what division am I going to be playing in next year and so I don't think they can quite harness this in a way that they think they can't because I think all of these players who, let's face it, didn't grow up dreaming of playing for Manchester City. Do you remember they've ended up there because they've, because it's the paper alliance and there's a chance to win them very good trophies. Not knocking it, there's a two great reasons to do anything in life. Where are we going to go? Then I'm going to get loads of success in my way then. I think that's a fantastic career choice that they have made. But right now, those things have been taken away, so what are you left with? I do think, you know, sorry Josh, but I do think you're absolutely spot on. I'm glad you're in Jeff to say that. People always are. Josh was never going to say that.

Josh was never going to be so complimentary exactly, you know what I mean, but... That was at my high woman. She couldn't do it with you on fire, love. I do think you're absolutely spot on. Knowing you think about those players that have literally sat in the last like one or two years, I would... You know, like you've just said about the siege mentality. There's been a, there's been a few weeks here of us all talking about it where you've had time to stew on it, like if you're in die or ends up or whatever. You're sat there thinking to yourself, if I just made the biggest career misstep in my entire life. I wouldn't want to go out to that. I'm feel for this badge that I've just... I'm not saying trick you into signing for the Millennium GWT that they were told at the time, but if, you know, sort of... Said they're not guilty about something then I've been found guilty to do. So, you know what I mean? So if I was one of those players, I mean, you're obviously going to want to perform and this might be a thing of trying to put yourself in the shot window, you know what I mean? If they do get relegated or get abolished from the league or whatever, expelled. But I think there will be a part of them where you're thinking, do I even...

Do I want to put up my all into this? Do I want to play for this team we could get expelled in however many... People are acting like they're not ourselves as well. You're not, you're not. You're still in the world, huh? The thing is, like, the same applies to Liverpool players there. So like, I'll be sad particularly if he's, like, can't play in this game because he's, like, came to Liverpool to win trophies and to play for the best team in Europe, not just England. And so, like, being able to come in at a time where city might be on the slide and it might be because they get forced to be on the slide and primarily go, it might just be because this just kind of mentally does them all because they're all having those concerns. Like, there'd be no one more better place than EZAC or like a verse or whoever, the lads who've come in to be the best team in Europe to go, we're going to just not be like three or four and they'll hear and put up... Because everyone in England is going to be watching for like all the reason they all are the same for. Everybody in this country is going to be watching this game that you can almost like leave a mark on city here. It is like a future thing, it's not like... Because EZAC and verse are also not asked about what city he did in 2013, 2017. They were probably doing that GCSEs and were... And I think things too are really about...

They're not bothered about that, they're bothered about being the biggest club in the country and in Europe going forward. And I think this is a genuinely a chance for them to start that process almost, like, have that first. Dan Morgan wrote about it for Dan for a couple of weeks ago. Like, Iriall was first big moment of his Amfield tenure. That to me, because of all the evidence happened, gives this a chance to be either. We'll talk about the manager in a second or two before then. I've got a new show for subscribers called The Origin. It's led by Dan Morgan, she's doing a brilliant job. Just mentioned there by Josh, for instance. Can't keep not the actual... Can't keep not the action. Meet the segway, Dan. And our first one was about to run in of 85, 86, but the point of the origin is to set the seat. So here's a little bit of that. You mentioned earlier the TV Blackout. It creates this concept of myth and legends. The goodest and the d'arby early running the season. The game's played supposedly at 100 mile an hour. There's some sort of bit to highlights of it that you see, but they really do look like they've been on the camcorder. The Kenny opening goal after 25 seconds. Right behind it.

The camera's right behind it. Like you're in the ground. The camera's right behind it. You get to see how many reds they are in their ends. As it flies in, absolutely flies in the way he strikes it. It's like it's pure Kenny. It shouldn't be allowed at the house. It's unbelievable at the swear of on it against the greatest goalkeeper in the world by the way. Yeah. 25 yards against the greatest goalkeeper in the world after 30 seconds. Well, what really makes me laugh is Bobby Robson's there watching his England manager and causing the greatest gamer football I've ever witnessed. You gave me this quote in prep for this. I'm my head fell off. Honestly, clean fell off. Bobby Robson walks out and goes to some park. After this Liverpool 3-2 victory and says it is the greatest gamer football I've ever witnessed. And the highlights back him up. Yeah, he's not wrong. He's played at some pace. He played at some pace and the technical ability is exceptional. And this is back to the point that even though Westam are a major player and united at a real Woody early on, these are the two best teams in the country. But I can just imagine picking the paper up on a Sunday morning.

You've not been able to see this game. No. You're looking at the score thinking, fuck, and that looks a belt there. And then you see a quote from the England manager saying, England manager, you should have been there. For 45,000 that was got to watch this. And it is the greatest gamer football I've ever witnessed. All the best. You'll never see it. Your life will never be complete because you won't see a gamer football like that. That's cool. I can't even watch your untalented. No, no, I'm not the option. It's not going to be available. It's not even available on a video at any point. It's tremendous. I can't hear all anymore. Fullsthrash.taw. That is BetterHelp.com. Fullsthrash.taw. Over to Neil. Excellent stuff. Thank you very much to John there. Good little comment from Rob Brennan, or be completely separate to anyone in the room because he couldn't hear the clip. Kenny should have had three that day. I was in the Glamrs Street End. So, the excellent to know that in 1985 Kenny should have had three. It is right. Always good to bring Kenny in some matters. And let's get on the back of our greatest play the Volta. Well, I'd like to, that was a praise where you should have looked great. My big Nev was involved with him, you know, with him being John. But, you know, regardless, maybe it was, maybe it was time for, maybe Kenny's had a little bit of too long to talk. Massily underperforms, XJ Kenny. Is one thing that one says about? One of the things, everyone says about some Josh. Honestly, Sue, let's stop back on another about it. I want to talk about the weekend. Obviously, this one to call me, say before about team use. I think you're almost certainly from the immediate reporting if it might not be as bad as suspected. I think you are probably talking about Gachpo. And that's a reason, number one.

I'm going to say, Jack, he's available. And in this hypothetical world, before the manager gives his press conference, where I think he will also be KG, I want to be clear. EZax 50-50. Let's sort of break it that way. What are you expecting there for? What would you like to see the Liverpool manager do in that world? So, like are you saying as a pro-bus scenario, is like EZax on the bench? I'd take that before a ball is kicked. If you can give me one of all of them, I feel like EZax would, in my head at least, a bit between us, Steve. Because all this is kind of like just what's in my head about these players. So, like, I saw a car in which journalists was actually essay, but someone kind of put the options out of what Liverpool's front three could be inside the case, but I might have been mentally cheated, to be honest. And I just looked to the names and I was like, Angamo, it doesn't feel like he's that kind of personality. It feels chilled to me, Angamo, which might be what you want in the scenario. I'm not sure what I do, but maybe that's just because I'm sort of imparting my self onto the footballs and I'm not going to be chilled. So, I'd probably rather have like, Kuhmas through the middle, Barclor on the left, Munoz on the right of that front three.

I feel like, the Kuhmas thing explains itself, and he even explained it quite neatly to the day as well, and he basically said that he thinks he plays what is understanding of the Liverpool wayers. As many players in this who can play that Liverpool way, which is just intense to like all I want to see from this game, is intense to, it's interesting, John mentioned before, about like those city games at home. My memory of them is kind of like warped a little bit, because I remember it was probably the earlier ones then of the club era, just being like really cagey affairs, where it felt like both teams gave each other a little bit too much respect. But then when 2018 hit, we just started to completely blow them away, and I think that was all about Liverpool's intensity at that point basically. So, that's the kind of thing I want to see them channeling as, I'm trying dead hard to not just be like, just channel you in club and Saturday morning in those lads, but like there's a way that these footballers can do this individual way, and that's what I'm trying to say, there's a way that Barclay can go out there and be like, these are the fans that I let you want to play for, and they're going to be lunatics on Sunday. So, I'm going to channel that same for Muñoz, the player that he is,

and then if you've got Kuma through the middle there, that just feel like it's got that intensity to make city push back, and then suddenly we can play the game a little bit more in their half rather than playing in a half. Yeah, I agree with that Finjoff said there, I think if Ezek isn't 100% right, I wouldn't start him, not least because he's the only forward top class forward we've got over the next period, and so the idea of him playing him in this one and then something happening is a complete disaster, but also the intensity that we're all after from the game, you don't want him managing his way through it, and what's rather, if he's not 100%, say what we're going to give you 20 minutes at the end of the game, and there's a potential to win it for us and say to the rescue us, there's some run there legs off for 60-70, make life really, really difficult for them, whether if you score it on an upgrade, whatever, don't almost worry about it, but your job is to give them a total of time, is to press, is to make it uncomfortable,

and also to create space and opportunities for others, because you know if someone like Kuma's is doing all of what I've just mentioned, then suddenly for Barco, and for Munio, there's opportunities and spaces there, so I would look to go for those free in this situation, and just I think as mad as we can make the game, I think it is better because whatever forward line we put on, isn't going to be one that is used to playing together, it factors a good chance that it's the first time they'll have ever played together, so you're not going to get all this fantastic synergy and people swap places, it wouldn't have happened that way, so I think making it, you know, doubling down on what this game could potentially be, which is intense, which is full of mistakes, full of eddies, and making sure that we're the one who are capitalising and I know is that I think is the right way forward for Liverpool. Yeah, I'm absolutely right, you're some surprised that I thought I was going to walk in, you know, be like, hey, what about Kuma, guys? So everyone's going to go, I'm a little bit too young now, but now I'm absolutely right, you know, I do think we need those players,

that'll just absolutely bully them down, and you know, Munio's is another one that'll be like that. Obviously, K, as a Barco, be quite aggressive, we know what he's like, and I just hope it's one of those performances, where it works, I'll forum, and he can hold his head, you know, my callisters are another one of them, I just want those players, that can just absolutely get into it, and be as aggressive as possible. The only one that I would kind of want to argue for is possibly Rio, just because he just plays with absolutely no fear at all, and when it clicks for him, he can push back. So we're off the bench, do we? Absolutely, and I do. So that's what Colour's not going to be able to do in 1990, not what we in Joshua Quarterm doing. No, absolutely not. And I also don't think that you can play Rio and Kumas at the same time, I just think it's just a little bit too young, a little bit too much experience, and experience. I say that when you forget how young the likes of it is, but in my head he's a senior player, but yeah, I'm always on that. The callisters are a big one, isn't he, because he's got all that experience as well, but we know what he's like when he's fired up. I want to see, like, Ashtonville at home last year,

that league, where he's wrestling with him now, and then he's doing like whole-cutter-goody impressions. Absolutely. After that was so good, I want that, my callister. But he can like, he can channel all that without ever really worrying about it, like, you know, affected his game. He could be cool on the ball as well as aggressive sort of offense. Especially the season. Yeah, so I think he's going to be massive in this game. I'm almost the first name on the team, she for me. Confidence? Yeah, I am. Yeah, I think. I think it's going to be great. I'm really looking forward to it. On Tuesday, I was like, I'm not sure I can get to some. They like it, it always felt too far away, but I've had a couple of days off. I'm very excited. What's the season? What's the season? That will help. Yeah, I got a great answer left that John. Spoilers. Yeah, yeah, good use. Just to just defuse the whole situation. With a bit of Simpsons. For me, I know this. And then, yeah, I feel like, yeah, I just, I just think we're going to be bangled for it. And I think everyone's going to be bangled for it in a positive way if we do put the players. We'll be at a take Josh's point on. Or whoever, what are you's points on? The fact that they won't necessarily be as grieved as what we are.

But I think the smart enough to think we can use this to our benefit and we can use this to our advantage. And playing one of these Amfield atmospheres that you've heard about. I wanted to be the best day of our whole as young life. That's what I want. Okay, I like that. Let it be the best day of our whole as young life. You up for it? Do you think that what you're reckon? Yeah, I'm up for it. Again, that's that thing before. Like it may be in the kickstart. I like all of that. I like the kind of like writing, being on the wall a little bit. It just does. It's got all the hallmarks. I'm struggling not to just do cliches around it all, but it feels like one of those games that Liverpool can really stick it to City and the nation here since the nation will be watching. I'm into the idea of Liverpool going like, oh, you've all watched us now. So I can watch us too. There's a lot of all of this. I'm absolutely fuming at them. So yeah, I'm absolutely up for it. This whole international break since it's all come out. I've just been really excited. I'm just all those moments that like we missed out to them and just the anger that I add towards them and how much I hated them then. And I still hate them now. And then Pep Guardiola's tweet just absolutely pushed me over the edge.

Because he's just completely changed his mind on what he said. And now all of a sudden he's going to go and watch them in the Champions League and just thought himself, you know what? I hate you. There's a lot to be said, I've been on the right side of history, isn't there? Well, there you go. There's a lot to be said, I've been on the right side of history, isn't there? Well, there you go. That's the thing I was finding out. How many points do you reckon you've done left pretty much? Of loads, he loves pints. So, you know. I don't know. Don't know. Don't know. Don't know. I don't know. I'd be on my card probably. Yeah, absolutely. I absolutely love it. I'm on a feather. So good. All the pints. I will now, like, on an advert outside the Glenbook. Just remind me to make sure I've shot for the game. You've all got pints. So look to my loads. To my loads. To my some endorsement for pints. So come ask this really well. Really, really well.
