Review journal seven at seven presenting sponsorship brought to you by Nockby injury law. You're watching seven at seven powered by the Las Vegas Review Journal, the largest news team in Nevada. This morning Las Vegas honored the lives lost nine years ago today at the one October mass shooting. This is seven at seven. I'm Lena Blitz. We begin with top stories. It's been nine years since the one October mass shooting took the lives of dozens of people attending the route 91 harvest festival. Cynthia Puga was at this morning's sunrise ceremony and tells us more about the event. It was a very somber morning as many people gathered here at the Clark County Government Center to remember the lives that were lost during that tragic event and it's always so incredible to me to just see the community coming together to support one another. We've all needed someone to talk to in the year since. The humanity we offer one another simply priceless. Today marks the ninth anniversary of the mass shooting on

the strip that killed 58 people in the immediate aftermath and two more later. Three survivors who traveled from California to Vegas for the festival say the memory is still vivid telling me another attendee told them to run during the attack and we did. We lead up at her hotel cold towers but with people strangers that we scooped up the long way that we shut down the city and we had they stayed overnight with us. We're lucky to be here right at least to support the families that are suffering the loss. All three of them told me they've been coming to remembrance events since the shooting and they gathered in California during the pandemic. A groundbreaking for the forever one memorial will take place tomorrow to honor those affected by the tragedy. Reporting for the Las Vegas Review Journal, I'm Sardipuga. However, legal experts have said that endorsements and even campaign contributions are not an automatic disqual fire. Demonte's campaign manager said the conflicts of interest were properly disclosed and she could remain impartial on this case. In your health news, research shows many of the older Americans who take aspirin on a daily basis should stop doing so. For those who have already had a

But clinical trials have shown it doesn't work as a primary prevention method for those who have not had a cardiac event. In fact, aspirin raises the risk of issues like gastrointestinal bleeding.
