If you like to make your NFL games a little bit more interesting, you've come to the right place. It's the Even Money Podcast with Ross Tucker and Steve Pezek. Yeah, Vegas, baby. Vegas, it is the Even Money Betting Podcast to show that so nice. We do it twice each and every week. You have come to the right place. Tuesday show we already went over our week one results and made all of our week one bets. However, today's a fun day. We talk about the line moves and how we feel about the line moves over the last 48 hours. We get the very latest updated injury information from Dr. Chao from six score.com where Steve, by the way, has his picks at sickpicks.com. Then we'll get in the Steve's props and parlay's and then Steve has his five best picks against the spread
for this week in the contest over at splash sports.com slash Even Money. So a lot to get to. Steve, of course, is the number one public contest player that we're aware of the United States at Pezek Sports. I'm the former NFL offensive lineman. I get a chance to call games now. Bill's Lions tonight on radio Westwood one. That's why I'm in a hotel room today. And then Sunday, Jags Broncos, beyond fired up to be a part of two incredible games this weekend. Should be fantastic. Check me out at Ross Tucker NFL. You can check us out at Ross Tucker pod. Shout out to everybody watching youtube.com slash Ross Tucker NFL. Steve, let's get to the line moves. Sometimes I need you to keep me honest because I don't always notice all of them. The Lions are getting five and a half from the bills. Total's 54 and a half. Is that the same or is that moved? Yeah, Money on the bills all week long. Little bit of pressure on the over Ross.
I'm starting to think I might have to play under 55 at post here. Ooh, that's interesting because I think there's going to be a bunch of points. I think it's 30 something to 30 something. So that surprises me, Steve. And I do think the money's coming in for the bills because of the injuries for the Lions. That'll be the first game I asked Dr. Chow about momentarily. Eagles, Titans, there's no change in the line there. Browns, Bucks, it has held steady. Bucks are Packers against the Jets. A lot of money coming in on the Jets. I think it was a best bet, Steve. You and I got the Jets at plus four and a half. Now it's plus three and a half. That's a full point, Steve. Yeah, and four is not a critical number. But hey, Ross, they're all important. So we'll take the line value. Yeah, heck yeah. I love when we get a half a point or a full point of value for you guys, better the loyal listeners or viewers.
What about Saints Ravens? That has stayed the same Vikings bears. Here's another one, Steve. I had a, I got the Vikings getting five and a half. Now they're only getting four and a half. Another full point since Tuesday's even money podcast. This is typically how we roll. Got to listen to the Tuesday show to lock in. They likely early value that we were able to give. Nothing changed with Steelers Patriots. Bengals, Texans, the Bengals are now getting two and a half. So I think the Texans were laying three, correct? So that's changed a little bit. It might be a product of this Nico Collins hamstring injury that we'll talk with Dr. Chow about momentarily. Am I right there, Steve? You're right. It keeps going back and forth two and a half to three concerns about burrow also for the Bengals. Falcons Panthers, the money has come in on the Panthers. We got the Falcons.
I think they're going to be a lot more important. Falcons, I teased them up to seven and a half. Now the line is the Panthers are laying two and a half as opposed to one and a half. So that line kind of went the other way. And it might go all the way up to three. And this line move is telling you, right, that we're not going to see two and we're not going to see Panics in my opinion. Raiders, chargers. So I put a unit on the Raiders getting seven. They are now getting six and a half. So money has come in here a little bit on the Raiders. I'm just curious, Steve, that half a point I just got. How much value is there in that? It basically, if you can take plus seven and every game that closes six and a half, you will win in the long run. So solid value. Jags Broncos. That line has stayed the same with the Jag Wars getting two and a half points.
Dolphins Niners has not moved either. You still have the Niners laying 13 and a half. Cardinals Seahawks. Wow, another one. We need to keep track of this, Steve. I think it was the best bet. Cretney, if I'm wrong, we both had the Cardinals plus four and a half for two units. Now it's just plus three and a half. And the Niners coming in on Arizona, another full point of value. I'm not getting up at six a.m. on Tuesday to make bets that we could make smoked dope for 48 hours and make them on Thursday. There's a reason we get up early. Commanders, cowboys. Commanders are getting four and a half. I put two units on the commander's getting three and a half. So this is one that went the other way. I guess I was too early on it. And the commanders are now getting a full point more. That's interesting to me. I wonder why. America's team. People love Beton Dallas. This is the second straight week.
Monty's come on Dallas. Colts, chiefs. Colts are getting six and a half. Then I football. That's what it was, right? Yeah, but I think a seven will pop up. And I will invest in the Colts when it does. Yeah, I think you said that Tuesday. Giants will pop up. Yeah, I think you said that Tuesday. Giants, Rams. Rams are laying seven. That's also where it was, correct? Yeah, and I think that is going to go to seven and a half. We'll keep an eye on it. Ooh, that would be big if it went to seven and a half. I love me some three and a half. I love me some seven and a half. And I love making sure that we have more injury information than anyone else right when it comes out from Dr. Chow, from siscore.com. Let's dive into this week's injury information with Dr. Chow. All right, Dr. Chow. Let's start with tonight's game because there are some legitimate injuries. We already knew that the lion's safety is where on I R,
but both their left guard and their right tackle are out tonight. That can't be real good for their sixth score. No, you know, we concentrate on cluster injuries and Detroit has it with the short time to adjust with the Thursday night game. They started the season with center Cade made Cade maze on I R, then lost Christian Mahogany left guard and now Blake Miller, the right tackle. And remember, Penny Suel shifted over the right tackle, the left tackle. That's a lot of adjustment for Detroit. The safety issues and the secondary issues, including potentially DJ Rita corner, have cropped up even against the Saints. Yes, it was seven, nothing week one and a half time, but look at what happened in the second half with the explosion Detroit scoring, but the Saints and Tyler Schuck being able to chase and put up a lot of points. And so this could be trouble for the lions today. Yeah, that does not does not sound real good. That's for sure. What about bangles Texans?
Because this is now a huge injury game with Joe burrow, not really participating in practice. They're calling it back tightness. And then their reports, Dr. Chow that Nico Collins injured his hamstring during Wednesday's practice. If it's injured enough that we heard about it, that wouldn't make me feel real good about him playing on Sunday. No question right now. I would say Joe burrow and we reviewed the film, etc. from the previous game seems to be a thumbs up. It may be a more of a maintenance day for him, even though he had some soreness there where Nico were kind of dubious on at this point in time. Look, LP makes it almost sound like the hamstring is not a big deal. But as you know, Ross LP means you participated in at least one play of practice or 99% of practice. So what happens there is if you tweak your ham start out healthy and tweak your hamstring,
you're not DNP, you're LP. So today I think brings a DNP and it will confirm the suspicions that Nico is at risk to miss this week. Yeah, that's certainly how I would feel and by the way. And the Texan start short handed, right? I mean, they already, they're already a, Nico was the main guy. Tank Dell is already out in the and McMillan towards ACL. So they already short handed it wide receiver. Speaking of cluster injuries, Dr. Chow, how are we feeling about the Ravens on at wide receiver with lane going on IR and flowers aggravated his hamstring? Yeah, wrist fracture for lane and aggravation is never good. Zay flowers had the hamstring earlier this off season slash preseason and he was on the injury report and now aggravated it. I get their say mild, I get their say maybe he could have returned in the game, but the score was out of hand.
But there's no such thing as a mild re aggravation. You have to be careful because think about this. Even if you think he can go, do you want if you're Baltimore to turn a short term hamstring issue into a worse injury aggravated further and end up missing six weeks of the season. So I think they may exercise caution there for Baltimore. Speaking of exercising caution, I guess there's no way to know for sure. Dr. Chow, but especially given once played pretty well. Is there any part of the Vikings that even if Kyler cleared it, you know, would still air on the side of caution? Or do you think if he can clear it, he's playing? Well, it's interesting point. First of all, we've already talked about on the pro football doc podcast that despite the ugly looking concussion for Kyler Murray with the posturing with the clenched fists and the extended arms.
That does not mean it was a quote worst concussion where he is for sure ruled out this week. So he does have a chance to clear when it was already limited. Return to play is always multifactorial medical clearance. The team says yes and the player says I'm good to go. Even if Kyler gets medically clear and Kyler wants to play, the team may say, wait, are we better off with a new Kyler Murray, new to our system, not taking all first team reps? Or are we better off with Carson Wentz who is more familiar with the system based on last season, who posted a victory getting essentially all the first team reps? Who would you start? So this may be a team decision. It may be framed other than the concussion protocol and caution, but it might be smarter for the Vikings to go Carson Wentz this week for those reasons. A couple others I definitely want to get to lad McConkey did not practice yesterday for the chargers with a rib injury that made a big difference on Sunday when he was no longer in the game.
No question and it is a rib injury. There's no indication whether it's soft tissue rib, cartilage rib or rib fracture, but it is a rib injury, not surprising that he didn't practice. And at best, he's going to get a limited practice in the question on whether he plays in this next game against the Raiders is going to depend on whether he gets the rib block injections. It is absolutely a player's choice to do it or not to do it. I don't know where he sits on that. And of course, everyone thinks about the L.A. Chargers and Tyrod Taylor and the rib block. But there's actually a different set of doctors. It was never me in L.A. with that. And now that they moved their training camp closer to UCLA, there's a different set of doctors there. So that shouldn't be a concern. We'll just see if he can make it with a rib block and play. What about Seahawks Cardinals? I guess the question I want to ask there is they're now calling the Donald injury a glute tendon injury. Dr. Chow, what's going on here?
Well, look, the glute tendon may indeed have been injured, but that injury, as we have talked about, is a hip subluxation injury. The force driven into the knee up into the hip socket. Thankfully, nothing broken. They're saying nothing else, but subluxing the hip strain the tendon. That's why they're being careful. I'm not trying to be over worried or anything and overstate the case. But the mechanism was a two-a-tongue viola-like mechanism from college, much more mild than the fracture dislocation that he suffered. But you have to be careful. Why do you have to be careful? You don't want to turn this injury into a bow jackson situation. They're not going to do that. That's why I said all along when they were reports that Sam Darnel might play week two. Like they're not going to play in week two. It's already good news. He's not being placed on IR. And I think that the fact that it's not season ending and it's relatively short term is good news.
They're going to roll with Drew Lock because you can't win the Super Bowl early in the season, but you can lose it if you make Sam Darnel worse. All right. So Dr. Chow, the Niners, it's tripling goes on IR with an angle injury expected to miss at least 10 weeks. Tongous IR, season ending knee injury. You probably get this all the time at Prof. Baldok or people coming to six core. What is the deal with the Niners and all these injuries all of them? Well, they tried to avoid the substation for a week in Melbourne, Australia, and it still didn't work. I'm joking there. That doesn't have anything to do with with anything. But it is something where you know, injuries often be get injuries, whether it's an older roster, but you understand how it works. When someone's injured, you elevate the number two guy or the number three guy. That was a guy that did special teams reps. And now does the special teams coach want him off special teams? No, he wants his starter at special teams. And so you have players doing double duty and perhaps there's some cumulative effect there.
The Niners certainly have had a lot of bad luck. They played a great game. They obviously beat the Rams handily here. The scheduling gods were not. It wasn't accidental. They were able to hand pick Miami is the next opponent opponent coming back from Australia. The question is, yeah, did a great job getting adjusted to the time zone in Melbourne, Australia. But guess what? Now you have to adjust back. And that could be more difficult for them. Lastly, Dr. Chow, Miles Garrett. I didn't know that we knew he had any injury and now he's on IR. What's going on there? Well, that's the hazards of preseason injury reporting. As you know, there is none. There is no official injury reporting. So you're able to mask a lot of things. And that was masked as, oh, we're just being careful a little bit of soreness in everybody in the world knows. Sean McVeigh doesn't play veterans in the preseason. And so it got masked and it was said to be nothing, nothing until he didn't play well and said he had a physical problem now.
So hopefully it's a trim and quick return. But that's how injuries are tricky in the preseason translating into the regular season. By the way, this week, Dr. Chow and sick picks is offering you guys a free week on its sick picks premium package, which is valued at $79. Name your free week of sick picks premium at sicpix.com with promo code Ross. Dr. Chow, you are the man really appreciate the time. Thank you so much. Thank you. Don't go anywhere. Gotta pay some bills real quick. We made it. We made it everybody. It's September. We have games. We're drinking LaBatte Blue and LaBatte Blue Light because it's by far the best tasting light beer born in Canada, brewed in the US. LaBatte knows a thing or two about rivalries. Here's the deal. There's nothing like tailgating. There's nothing like drinking LaBatte Blue Light while you're watching games either in person or on TV.
Crack a cold one. Roast your bodies responsibly. LaBatte is brewed for the roast. All right, Steve. We still got to get to your props, your parlay. And your splash sports dot com slash even money. Five pick them games as a reminder, congrats to everybody that got in on the season long contest. That's awesome. But we're already doing weeklies. We're doing weeklies every week. So there's two price entry fees. There's a thousand dollar entry fee for those of you that like to roll that way. There's also another contest a twenty five dollar entry fee. So got a couple emails from some of you saying, Hey Ross, I wanted to get in the season long fifty dollar entry fee. But it filled up. I wasn't able to. Well, the good news is you can do the weeklies every week where you just pick your five favorite games against the spread.
Go ahead to head with Steve. Maybe you do it some weeks. Maybe you don't do it other weeks, whatever. And you can do that either in the twenty five dollar entry fee contest or the thousand dollar entry fee contest, whatever sort of floats your boat. Again, that splash sports dot com slash even money. What do you got Steve? What are your what are your five best picks against the spread this week? Very, very fired up to hear about it. Yes, splash sports going with bills minus four and a half jets plus three and a half used in minus two and a half Denver minus two and a half and the Arizona Cardinals plus four and a half and for fun five team. Five team, partly, make sure you get twenty two to one or higher on with those five teams. Okay, interesting. So it's not like there's no confidence composing component of it, right? It's not like you rank them in order and because that would be interesting too is if like you had to put what confidence level you had in each of the picks. Yeah, they're all worth one. No best bets. That's correct.
Got it. And then are there some there? Well, I guess I can tell some of the ones that you feel the best out from some of the ones that we did earlier in the week, although most of these. So the Arizona and the jets are two of the ones where we had the best bets already on Tuesday. I love this. How often Steve just had a curiosity. How often will these change before you actually submit them on Sunday at splash sports dot com slash even money. I'll go I'll pop in like ten minutes before the game start on Sunday, typically. And then I'll make my final selections. Oftentimes like if there's a huge move like last week Pittsburgh. I was going to play Pittsburgh against Atlanta minus three and a half too much line value when it closes minus you know six. Love it. All right. What about your prop of the week? We know you have always done very well with props. It's a big portion of your portfolio. And we know a lot of our listeners like to do props as well. What do you got tonight?
I am going running back race to rushing yards prop. I'm going to back Detroit's Gibbs to win the race to 20 and the race to 40 against Buffalo's cook. We get plus 108 race to 20. We get Gibbs minus one 32 race to 40. Think about this Ross Gibbs is supposed to rush for 89 yards cook only 78. Gibbs is supposed to get more yards. He's not going to be getting that in the fourth quarter. If Detroit is trailing meaning he's more likely to get it earlier in the game. So back in Gibbs against cook to win the race to rush props 20 and 40. I never even heard of that bet before. Is that a common bet Steve? Not at all, but it's available at draft kings and I scoured the menu this morning. Oh, Steve, I love it. By the way, it is 6 30 a.m. Time for Steve out there in Vegas. So this is the type of animal. This guy is absolutely love it. Love, by the way, I should mention that the draft kings sports app. Use the code Ross. If you bet $5 you get $200 in rewards. And it's available in all 50 states.
This is the first football season. It's been available in all 50 states. So wanted to make sure that you guys were aware of that. What about any other props or do you have a parlay? You hit your parlay hit last week. Right. Steve, it was. I think it was fourth quarter underdogs Arizona plus two and a half. Saints plus one and a half. And Miami plus half a point. Right. Yeah. Miami somehow covered when the fourth quarter went scoreless for both teams. We're just going with the two teamer this week. And it's going to be week three lines that I've looked at lines. I love both these bets. So make you can make these bets straight as well. But it's makes some more money. We're going to take the bears hosting the Eagles week three money. And I football the bears minus one 18. That's a stupid line bears are going to be favored by more than that. And we got Carolina at Cleveland minus one 42. Boo. Boo. We hate Watson. Look for the dog pound to be to turn on their own team. So Caroline on the money line and the bears my line. Those are week three bets. Parlay.
Change your thoughts at all if it ends up being should or Sanders starting. No, because Sanders can't play either way. We're in good shape. Does this hold true, Steve? Your text messages to me said, I will buy you dinner. If we don't get great closing line value on both those games. Oh, every bet I'm giving you. We're going to get great closing line value. Yes. All right. What about the, I don't know if this if you're counting this as a parlay or a prop, but you did text me about a 14 teaser. You liked. Yes. So draft Kings for team teaser six points plus 240. We're going to count this as like a parlay bet. It's not going to record. But if you want more action on teasers, Baltimore minus two and a half Tampa Bay minus two and a half Atlanta plus eight and a half and the Rams minus one. By the way, at a curiosity, Steve, do you know what the odds were last week on your parlay that hit? Do you remember? I was right around plus 550. Yes. Wow. Love it. Steve one for one on his parles. Here's a, here's a question. We love getting the email questions.
Ross at Ross Tucker.com. And this comes to us from Jim Walsh who went to Wester Home.com slash Ross and set up the free consultation with our friends from Wester Home was in Vegas two weeks ago thought about signing up for circa millions. However, needed a Nevada based proxy to enter the pigs didn't have the time. What is the range of cost for a proxy for circa millions? How much earlier might my deadline be? That's Jim Walsh who took a man of Wester Home.com slash Ross. Yeah. Football winners.com is my favorite proxy in Vegas. I think they charge approximately $200. If you have one entry. And I think you can pay a little extra premium. If you want to have a deadline. I close to the expiration time in the contest. Obviously they're putting in thousands of picks Ross. So most of the entries have to put in their picks. I think like 24 hours before, but I think you can pay a little extra to extend your deadline.
All right, here's what matters now. You guys know what you can do. You can get into the contest against Steve splash sports.com slash even money the weekly contest. As a reminder, you can always send in emails. I think we're going to get to your email questions on Thursday. So this year, take advantage of any of our sponsors, screenshot it. So you can ask Steve questions during the week, whatever question you have. That is huge. Other than that, good luck, everybody. Hope you guys win some money.
