It's the Even Money Podcast with Ross Tucker and Steve Bezik. Yeah, Vegas, baby. Vegas, it is the Even Money NFL betting podcast to show that so nice, we do it twice every single week, Tuesday morning, Thursday morning, Tuesday we tell you how we do it with all of
our picks the week before, and then give you our bets for the next week. Today we start with the line moves, because those are always important to discuss, talk through, does it change how we feel about a particular game? Also it's nice for us to brag on how much value we've already gotten you. I'm kind of joking. Then we'll get to Dr. Chow with all the injury information. Then we'll get to Steve's picks for the splash sports.com slash Even Money Pickham contest, which a lot of you are part of and enjoying, which is very cool. And certainly Steve's props for the week and whatever parlay he has for those of you that are parlay lovers, because we know a lot of you are, in fact, parlay lovers, which is great. We love you to be excited about anything. The Steve I'm referencing is the man at Fezik Sports and only at Fezik Sports on social media. I'm at Ross Tucker NFL.
We're at Ross Tucker pod on the socials. We love those of you that watch on YouTube, youtube.com slash Ross Tucker NFL. Definitely subscribe and turn notifications on because you want to consume this show before the lines do move. Steve, before we dive into the line moves, congratulations on your first quarter finish for Circa. That is awesome, man. Yeah, 16 and four. So got a small piece of the quarterly. They pay down to the top five and six way tie for fourth through ninth. So hey, 4,000. We're on the board in contest, but bigger fish to fry looking towards the season long circa millions where I finished ninth last year. Can I finish in the top 10 again this year? We will see. Well, so okay, two questions. Number one, if you finished fourth, they have a quarterly contest out of how many people? 5,700. 5,700? And you were four, how much money did you get?
$4,000? Yeah, tie for the fourth prize is 15,000. Fifth prize is 10,000. So there was a six way chop for fourth, fifth all the way down through ninth. Yes. So and your entries of thousands? So you've already made money? Yes, on that entry. But I do have multiple entries. But much more important is the equity of that contest going forward, obviously. Okay, but what about do you make the same picks for circa as you do at splash sports dot com? Even money pick them? Because the numbers are different. So, so and the deadlines are different. So there's significant differences between all of the contests in splash sports. I am 14 and six. So I am in the money in the top 100, but not nearly as good as the 16 and four with my best circa entry. And I have more than one circa entry. So it's easier for me to have a great record. I just have one splash sports entry. Yeah, okay. Let's dive into the line moves. We'll get the Steve's pick them picks a little bit later on in the show after we talk
to Dr. Chow about the injury info. Buckingeers Cowboys, there is no line movement for tonight's game. One day mornings game, Steve, it's been a lot of line movement. The Eagles are now getting seven points against the Jaguars. Although actually I think Tuesday morning, they were already at six and a half. The line moved more from Monday, but still more money coming in on Jaguars, which you predicted by the way on Tuesday, Steve. Hey, and look at it. If you haven't teased Jacksonville yet in minus seven, you better do it now at draft kings because this line's going to eight. As they said in the movie towering in Ferno, it's out of control and it's heading right for you in terms of the flames on Jacksonville. So get you some Jacksonville teasers now. Do not wait. Wait, you still think the line's going to go up even more? Oh, yeah, this is going to eight. Yes. Why do you say that? Because there's no case to make for the Eagles because all of the cluster injuries on the old line, Dr. Chow, we'll talk about that.
All right. What about bangles dolphins? I think it was the bangles laying seven so that some money's coming on Miami. Yeah. Why not? The juggernaut that the dolphins have been this year. Why wouldn't everyone be betting them? No, it's really anti-bangle money and concerned about the bangle receivers. What about the Texans? That line is now minus seven and a half. Would they be a good teaser leg? No, because the Texans are O and four and are we really going to trust them? I am a little perplexed by this line move. Interesting. Okay. Well, that's why we discuss it. Raiders, patriots, money has come in, that line has stayed the same. Browns jets. We got money coming in on the browns. We got the browns up to eight and a half as a teaser leg. It went from two and a half to one and a half, Steve. A full point is coming on Cleveland.
And I think the jets are going to win a close game. So I think you could bet the jets or you could tease Cleveland either way. Colts, steelers, that line has not moved. Bears, packers, has that line moved? Initially, money came on Chicago and now there's all kinds of concerns with Chicago injuries that are running back and O line and money is coming in heavy on the packers now later in the week. At this point, would you like the packers as a teaser leg up to seven and a half? Yes. Okay. So listen, if you want, you could pair the Texans down to minus one and a half with the packers up to plus seven and a half. So just something for everybody out there to consider. What about the giants? They're getting three and a half against Washington. It was three, right? Yeah. So money has been on Washington. By the way, with your teasers, you should be teasing the heck out of Jacksonville. That's the best teaser on the board at draft Kings.
I've got nothing on the G men. Washington that line does look right to me though. Now that it's gone up to three and a half. Well, there's a big difference between three and three and a half. You don't like the giants more now? Well, I like the more, but not enough to bet them. Got it. Okay. I would lean giants there, especially Daniel's first game with that elbow brace. That's not a fun thing to play with. Ask Kurt Warner Vikings, Saints, that line has not moved. Broncos, chargers, my game, line has not moved. Lions, Cardinals, money coming in on Detroit. Interestingly, I took the Arizona Cardinals getting four and a half. That line's going up a point to five and a half for Arizona. We usually that doesn't happen to us very often, Steve. I'm surprised by that line movement. Completely. My power a completely disagree with this. Remember Arizona was just laying to on the road against the giants. I think a lack of respect for Arizona.
They could have won that game. All instead of throwing a 98 yard pick six. If that was a touchdown pass, this line's probably three and a half. Yeah, that's a really good point. I'm confused by that. Okay, let's go nine or see Hawks. Still at plus three. I think that stayed there, correct? Yes, but there's been a little money on Seattle. This line could go up to three and a half. Then you've got Ravens Falcons. Ravens are catching three and a half. Is that what? No, I think it was three other night, right? The other day. Early in the week on the before Atlanta won a Monday, Baltimore was laying three on this line. So now that we know Lamar Jackson isn't playing, it has been a tsunami of Atlanta Falcon money, especially as good as Atlanta looked on Monday night football. Then we've got Bill's Rams. We've got some movement here coming in on the Rams. The bills were catching two and a half.
Now the bills are catching a full three. And they'll be catching three and a half soon. So if you like the Rams, you want to get down on them. Now money's going to continue to pour in on the Rams. So if you like the bills, I like to build getting three and a half. The bills like the bills being weighted out. Yeah, I like that. I also like finding out about the injury info. It's crazy how well they do just bait. Maybe I should just give out the injury beds every week. Let's talk to Dr. Chao. All right, Dr. Chao, there is a lot of injury information you get to, including in my game for CBS, with the chargers and Broncos, I need to get a lot of intel from you on that one. Looks like the chargers could have a totally revamped offensive line. I will say it's crazy how much you guys are killing it. I think I saw you're up over 30 units on NFL and college football this season just based on the injury information.
Reminder, by the way, we tell you guys this every week. But you can get a free week of the SIC picks premium package, which by the way is typically $80 bucks, $79 a week. They'll give it to you for free. If you just go to SICPix.com, use the promo code raw. So try it for yourself. See why they're up 30 units this year so far. And if you like it, you can do it again next week. If you don't, that's fine too. At least try it out for free. You know what Steve always says, take advantage of the promos, take advantage of the freebies. This is a free $80 SICPix.com code raw. All right, Dr. Chow, let's start with my game because there's a lot to get to and it's the one I carry the most about because I'm gonna be on TV talking about it. Chargers, Broncos, really there's injury, there's cluster injuries, Dr. Chow on both sides.
By the way, you probably didn't hear this. I used the term cluster injuries on Sunday for patriots and the bills. When the patriots had a corner go down, they already were out Gonzalez and then Charles Woods went down and I said, and then for the bills, they lost their corner back to Corey Couch went down and D'Alford went down. So I said, listen, this one gets bad when you have these cluster injuries at one position. So I used your term on CBS, Dr. Chow. Well, you know, I guess imitation, you know, since there's form as they say, a flattery, like there are a lot of other quote injury experts out there now. When I first started doing it, I got a lot of grief. Well, you're doing this off of video, there's no way, there's no way. There are dozens and dozens of guys out there. And I look at it this way, if Tesla were the only electric car out there, that means the concept doesn't work. We just need to be the best electric vehicle out there. And you know, the advantage that we have is our panel,
including myself, as you know, former NFL head team physician, as an orthopedist, a lot of the other guys out there, they're great, they're physical therapists of this, they're other doctors, but they didn't work like you did, like you're so good because you played in the league, right? There's just a difference in terms of what you can get out of that. And then yes, cluster injuries is maybe the next contribution because yes, that I do hear it more and more now and thank you for that Ross. But in terms of the injuries, yeah, the death start with the chargers in particular, the offensive line. Of course, Chargers offensive line, they already came into the game. Last week with injuries, they're starting center tire by des, they got hurt in the preseason, bad injury, their guard was out. And remember one of the reasons the chargers struggled last year, and it was talked about a lot. They didn't have their right tackle and left tackle, Joe Alton, Rashans later. And guess what, they're both out now too. So not only it's more than cluster injuries,
they already had some cluster there. Now in the interior, now both tackles are out. So it's four out of five original starters, at least are out for the chargers on the old line. And they've been struggling in the run game. The only mitigating factor here is, you know, other than the protection, maybe they'll be able to chase a little bit because Denver has cluster injuries at the DBs. Both starting corners, Patrick's retained in Riley Moss, one with ankle calf and one with ribs are likely out. But you know, the chargers have more injury issues. They're best defensive player, Derwin James, who is likely out. So a lot of things going on, not to mention Lad Maconky with his foot and rib issue. What are you thinking about Maconky for this week? You know, I don't know exactly what his foot injury is. He's been tough as nails and played through his rib injury. But I lean actually towards no side or an effective side because he tried to play through the foot before
and didn't get through, you know. And so the team is likely not to use a roster spot and active spot on a guy that couldn't finish the last week's game with the same injury. You know, I'm sure you get asked this all the time. It feels like the chargers are like the most injured team or one of the two or three most injured teams along with the Niners every year. Is there any rhyme or reason to that? Like at what point do you look at, you know, strength conditioning or something? Well, first of all, you know, this is a sample bias or fan bias or opinion bias. It's like, you know, when they say, what's your team going to finish when they ask the reporters and the average, you know, results are 10 and 7 across the league, right? Because everyone's more optimistic. Well, injuries, everyone thinks they're only injuries. I would just son of radio show them Baltimore and they said, you know, we got to be the most injured team in the league. I'm like, well, now the chargers, they might have, but let me tell you something. Look, the chargers don't have a sub practice
next to an electrical substation joke, but the San Francisco 49ers probably have that title over the last few couple of years, but coming into the season, it might have been Carolina Panthers. It might still be Green Bay Packers. The chargers are getting up there with the huge cluster in the O line, especially when it's the same problem as last year. As far as the, you know, when you look at injuries and people blaming whoever you got to understand, as part of the medical staff in the past, and look, the head athletic training for the chargers, excellent. Marco Zucone, excellent. But the medical staff is in charge of getting guys back quickly. They're not always in charge of prevention or the weight room or training or rehab. So you got to look at the type of injuries before you can parse out, start saying, blame to a medical staff. And by the way, with their move to the new facility, they actually change team positions. So you really can't blame that per se over the last couple of years.
So it's just easy for fans to make that assumption. The Eagles are playing the Jaguars in London, Dr. Chao. And you know, because of some of the work I do, I follow the Eagles closely. This is the most injured they've been in years, years. I think it's 2019, maybe 2018 is the last time I can remember them having this many injuries. Then you have Lane Johnson retiring while you have all these injuries. Well, absolutely Ross. And you know, the Eagles are a team I should have put on that list. I don't have my notes in front of me. They're up there too. And it's reflected by six scores. One of the things that thank you for talking about a record this year. No, you know, we didn't quite make the quarter prize like your partner Steve Feseck did and and circa millions, but we got close 15 and five there. Not quite what he did at 16 and four, but part of it is this year, there seem to be a lot of injury mismatches. That's the same thing this week. And so we're going to have a lot of action. And the Eagles are one of the games that have a lot of injuries. You talk about cluster injuries. Let me give you a clue on how we grade people.
We grade people. It's on injuries, but it's really on availability. And guess what? We kind of treat Lane Johnson in terms of the scores like an injury. It's an unexpected absence. That's what we're grading. You're expecting to have a guy and then he gets hurt or he gets unavailable. And Lane Johnson's unavailable. So we treat that spot as an injury and they already had landed Dickerson out. Cam Jurgens was already moved from center to left guard because of land in Dickerson out. And now what? Another injury. He gets traded to Baltimore, right? And we knew Cam Jurgens wasn't going to play this week anyways because when you report concussion symptoms on Monday, that is prolonged from the game. You're not playing the next week. He wasn't going to London anyways, but it's still a loss not only this next week, but longer term cluster injuries on your Eagles offensive line. And I'd be curious to hear one of the things we also do is grade war.
Lans against replacement slash the quality of the backups they had. And you probably have a better idea of that than I do. Those guys played pretty well in the preseason. So I'm anxious to see what they look like. Marquell Bell, right tackle. I'm guessing really Lampkin at left guard. That will be interesting. You know, look, the Bears of injuries, bangles, I might get back to them. But I feel like I have to ask you about Lamar Jackson because it's always this unknown nebulous how bad the injury when he's coming back. Now we have a new head coach and it still seems like nobody really knows how long he'll be out. What's your expectation? Yeah, you know, we talked about that and you've noticed that with John Harbour. Now Jesse Mentor, here's the thing. Lamar is legitimately injured. He has a left ankle injury and here's how I have described it. Lamar Jackson is a great player. Lamar Jackson is a Ferrari. Lamar Jackson is an F1 or Indy car.
He is a fine-tune machine in order for him to run and play effectively. He's got to be able to run and throw the ball and exercise all his athleticism. And this ankle injury prevents him from doing so. Because of that, I think he's unlikely to play. He's not a guy that plays just in the pocket, so to speak. I'll compare him to someone that the media has compared him a lot to in terms of MVP races. Josh Allen. Josh Allen is more pickup truck or Humvee. Last weekend, Josh Allen played hurt with his knee. People saw him, we saw him limping after. We said there's no doubt he's going to play. He did play. But Josh Allen got five rushes only for four yards in that game and that loss to the Patriots. So I'm not saying Josh Allen is better than Lamar Jackson or even tougher. Just their style of play and their makeup, ones in Indy car, ones a Humvee. One keeps playing through, but they're not necessarily 100% when they do so. So I do not anticipate Lamar Jackson playing this week and maybe not even next week.
Got it. Good to know. Here's our mail. It's a note. We're keeping eye on the Bengals receiver situation with Chase and Higgins. We're certainly keeping an eye on the Bears O line and running backs after they just pounded the New York Jets in that game. Big game for them against their rival Packers, but they are beat up. Check out Dr. Chao on social media at Crow football doc. Certainly at SIC score.com. I already told you guys, you can use that code Ross over at SICpix.com for the free premium package this week. Why not? I mean, you guys, you guys, if you're listening or watching this show, why wouldn't you take advantage of that? Thanks, Doc. Thank you. More great stuff right after this. Love, love, love. I was able to get up to Buffalo again recently for that game against the Patriots on TV. You know why? It's the land of LeBat Blue Light. Did I have several LeBat Blue lights that weekend? Yes. Yes, I did. Because it's by far my favorite beer. I don't know why. I don't know if it's because it was born in Canada. I don't know if it's the water in upstate New York. It's just delicious. I know for a fact some of you and they're even tried a LeBat Blue Light. You're missing out. Give it a shot. Go to the store. Take a picture of you trying it for the first time or a video. Send it to me. I'll send you something in the mail. Just for you sending me a picture or video of you trying LeBat Blue Light. It's that good. All right, Steve. It is time for your splash sports.com slash even money. I was like, I'm going to get a picture of the week before I forget by the way.
I didn't realize until week one that the season long you only pick five games. But for the weekly, you're doing every pick, right? Yes. These weekly contests are... There's a sign felt episode where Kramer gets hooked on the chicken. I'm hooked on the weekly. It's such a great contest because you get to pick every game. You're busy. We're always worried. Oh, I'm not going to get my picks. Well, you just select every team. Boom. You have your best bet that counts double and you set it and you can forget it or you can keep coming back to it, Ross, and changing it up until kickoff. That's what I love about this. Every other contest, I got to... Once I select my plays and I hit submit, there's no turn and back. And here I can constantly tweak my portfolios like in an author writing a book and I can keep doing draft two, three, four. So splash sports, I marvel at how great these contests are. There's a low end contest, 20 bucks, denta, a weekly.
The Thursday game doesn't count. It's just Sunday and Monday night game. Or you can do the high end and enter for a thousand dollar entry fee. I love these splash contests. Okay. So who are your five? I know for the weekly, you pick every game, which is great. But who are the five you're doing for the season? So by the way, before I forget, you guys can get in on these weeklies. My buddy Chuck texted me and said, these weekly pick them are the best thing I've ever done. So he's a fan. I've got a lot of buddies that are fans of just having a different contest every week against other people. Splash sports.com slash even money. What do you got for me this week, Steve? And I'm never going to give you all my picks in the weekly because then I can't win because someone could just copy me. My top five and these are subject to change because I can change my picks. But right now, if I had to submit Steelers minus two and a half hosting occult coming back from Europe jets minus one and a half hosting the Browns good bounce back spot for
the jets Titans plus seven and a half. Boy, that line looks high to me against the Texans. A very injured charger squad, but they're catching plus three and a half against Broncos that have their own injuries and the Green Bay Packers plus two and a half hosting a Chicago Bear team with injuries at running back and on the O line. I think out of those, the one that I like the most would be Tennessee getting seven and a half just because I think that game will be a close game. I think the Texans probably win, but I think it'll be a close game. Which one would you double down on this week's, Steve? I think for the weekly. You know, right now, I think I would double. I wouldn't make my best bet Packers based upon what I'm seeing in the last 24 hours. And the injury info from Dr. Chao too. That makes sense to me. All right, what about any prop bets this week, Steve? So let's win some money tonight. Daniels first quarter Ross at draft Kings pass yards under 35 and a half.
I think they'll be very conservative. Tampa will be initially and that cowboy defense is bad. So maybe when the Tampa's down, he can throw for a lot of yards yardage in the second half. He's only supposed to throw for 180. So first quarter under 35 and a half and then Jacksonville ground and pound over your Philadelphia Eagles. I'm going to go to it and over 67 half rush yards for the game. What do you think of those two Ross? Oh, well, I guess the the Jalen Daniels kind of depends on who gets the ball first is a big one. I feel like. But the cowboy secondary is bad. All right, I got to get your parlay. We only have like 10 seconds left. What's your parlay, Steve? The five teams I gave you and splash put them all together pays over 20 to one. Ooh, I love it. What a show. Hope you guys enjoyed as much as we do every Tuesday, every Thursday. Subscribe to show. And you can get all the bets patreon.com slash RT media. I almost forgot to tell you guys that. Good luck, everybody. Hope you guys win some money.
