One week season. Welcome everybody to week four of solo ship the DFS MVP podcast. I'm John Brezzlin also known as scroll patrol from four for four football joined by James to win from one week season. James last week we finally saw the Geno Smith week we've been waiting for all season. Overall it wasn't the best week for me. We got some big scores from Junior Gabs and Jackson Smith and Jigba. We also saw Brock Bauer as come back. We saw a kind of middleing performance from the Titans defense at like 40% ownership against James Winston. How was your week three? Yeah my week three is nothing to write home about huge week for OWS though. Every other content provider was on Kenyans to D Ken Gino and outside here pushing Justin Herbert on us also. Thankfully there's the people who were not listening to me. So I had all the pieces outside of Herbert but you know at Herbert stack is going to think you on that week. So yeah man I'm looking forward to this week.
I was with a little bit of fun talking for the show about kind of this idea of letting go of ball knowledge and thinking just through strategy and theory which is something that I think you're so good at and then I try to set aside my ball knowledge and then also just think about positioning ourselves for what can happen. You know like I think it's important for people listening who are like trying to get better at DFS to hear me say like I have no regrets about playing Herbert last week. You know like I was listening to Uticao after week one like in the game changer I had Gino Smith as my stack in week one. Uticao had Gino Smith as a stack in week one and I don't know that anybody else had it. And I was listening to Uticao and his show with Pete that he's on after me and it was in week two and he's like yeah like happy with the Gino play. You know like it bombed but it's like sometimes you're pointing towards something that can't happen right and and the Chargers offense is more broken than I gave credit for the game flow worked out wrong like my thought was the bill jumped out to a lead.
Chargers are forced to let go of the structure of this offense that isn't working and just sort of play back yard ball and never got to that point but those are the types of things that win its tournaments like being willing to be wrong on those so yeah not not a little plan talk there but I wanted to throw that out there before we get to to this week. No yeah I think it's one of the most important things about DFS is the willingness to be wrong because what you're trying to do is get a little bit away from the chalk but you only want to get away from the bad chalk. Yeah because you know if somebody is 40% owned like like the Titans defense every time they score points it doesn't help you as much as when you have a 10% owned player right like if you've got the 10% owned defense or the 5% owned defense and that scores you know 20 points out of your defense that helps you so much more because you're you're trying you're beating so much more of the field than the 40% owned defense. The problem is then you start to maybe get into that mindset too much and you start playing like 1% owned players half percent owned players and if you have something where you you
feel passionately about this player then maybe that's a huge edge but there's a good chance you're just going way to off the board otherwise that player be more than half a percent half a percent owned but you know we're not really we're not necessarily trying to find the best football players like what we're trying to do is beat our field that we're playing in our in our contests and sometimes you don't need to take on as much risk as it might seem you know trying to get off the board but you also have to take some risk otherwise if you're playing the most chalky players it gets very difficult to pass other lineups in our actual DFS contest. Yeah and we had a guy who was talking before we've got a new dishwasher this morning done hand washing dishes after several weeks of a broken dishwasher and not people not being able to install it. There's chatting with this plumber this morning's a Steelers fan poor guy after last night but he was asking about DFS and I was explaining you know that it's like a combination of ball knowledge and like understanding strategy and theory and one of the things I said
to him was like explaining combinations of high price players that people won't get to is one of the things that I try to hammer like this week I'm like who how many people are playing Brock Bauer's and Tramon bride and if they were wide receivers they would be 8k they shit like if you compare them flex instead of comparing them to tie it in which under price across the board like they are 7.8k to 8.2k players and you can get them together at very low combined ownership right so if they both score 30 or 35 most people will only have one of the other not both them and so like yeah the big trap people get into is like I got to go off the board right which if you're like the millimaker yeah maybe you do or if like we've had situations where like you know we were on Josh Allen's rookie year before people were on him or Deontay Johnson when he was cheap before people were on him Pukinakua tanked out like you have situations Adam Thielin when he was with the panthers like it pops up from time to time but most of the time your edge isn't going to be finding like the guy who's too cheap and too low on it's like how do I maneuver the field how do I get some good players that other people aren't on or built in a way that other people
aren't aren't on it yeah and you start to get into concepts like leverage right how can I build a different roster like if there's a game that I really like or maybe there's one game that really stands out well the touch it's very actually very unlikely very just under a bit yeah well it's it's unlikely that the touchdowns go exactly where we think they're going to go like that's actually one of the rarest combinations is that they all go you know it's the specific players that are most likely to score a touchdown so how you know if things go another way then the way that it appears like how how can I leverage that roster and well actually we can you know jump into this slate you know it's we've got a 12 game main slate towards so it's actually down one game so ownership will be a little bit higher although the Thursday night game was Cleveland at Pittsburgh so we didn't really lose much there yeah it was actually watching the game with a friend last night and explaining it is yeah saying like oh you know how does this impact what you do and Mike it's interesting because nobody ever plays Cleveland or Pittsburgh players but but in for the single game contest you had to just play Cleveland and Pittsburgh players so it still kind of feels good a full main slate
although we do we are down the lions who I think are on Monday night football or something in the Falcon so yeah yeah and a couple main offenses out yeah so and we also we're starting to get the injury situations as well we've got Justin Jefferson is officially out I think Reese Hall is officially out you know so I guess it's kind of starting to shift from game environments to injury situations this slate kind of feels like a combination which isn't necessarily that helpful to people you know to me know maybe you'd be better price you know saying it's an injury slate or it's a game environment slate but I think it's a little bit of both I guess for the game environments there's one game that's got it over a 50 point total again it's Jacksonville in Cincinnati with a 51 and a half point total is that like your top game environment and what are your thoughts on that game yeah and I always try to look for game environments where like it's a high total but it's not concentrated enough or it's a high total but it's like yeah but this isn't this isn't built like other high total games I think of this as built like like you have two playoff teams essentially it's going to
have a playoff atmosphere because two and two feels very different than three and one you know and it sets your season on a different trajectory and and so I think that we'll have one of these games where it's like the the jags are so aggressive and forward leaning in their offensive philosophy and play calling that they're going to be that way the bingles are not that way but they are very pass heavy which we like and then the bingles are reactive in game environments where they have to be aggressive and so like there's ways that it plays out where both teams are scoring there's like 24 to 27 type game that's very much in the cards but there aren't many scenarios where both teams are scoring in the low 20s or one of them's in the teens or one of them's in the low 20s and there are plenty of scenarios where one or both teams are topping 30 so yeah I think that this is a really sharp and the and the pieces are underpriced for the road like Parker Washington in a neutral matchup is underpriced for a guy who's top five in the NFL in yards per out run targets per out run percentage share of team targets, ariards, first three target rates he's top five among wide receivers in all these categories but the jags like controlled two games and then had a really hard time against
Denver in between those Trevor large hasn't top 29 pass it is 29 23 29 something like that so it's like we haven't seen this yet where last year there were one of the more pass heavy teams in terms of pass rate over expectations Parker Washington's clearly the focal point so he's underpriced Trevor large is underpriced if you want to do something sneaky and like leave Parker Washington off or like double triple stack this game Brian Thomas Jr. is underpriced Jacobi Myers is underpriced Britain strange is underpriced so even though the bingleside is expensive really just on Jamar chase but T Higgins is a little bit underpriced chase Brown's underpriced like yeah it's a great game environment pricing is getting tighter but not here so it definitely stands out and there's really only one other game I've played around with like stacking the game environment this week so yeah it's this one and what are your thoughts on on this spot so yeah I think this is the number one game environment to go to like I like to talk about having like one single entry roster or five single entry rosters you know playing a one max or five max or distributing five roster is amongst single entry
contests I think it's I think it's probably one Joe Barrow roster one Trevor Lohan Lawrence roster it's actually a question I think if I may want to go with a third out of five you know Cubie for from this game like you know maybe playing Trevor Lawrence twice and Joe Barrow once I think like Trevor Lawrence just paired so well with Parker Washington I was actually watching Red Zone I think Brian Thomas Jr caught a pass while I was watching Jacksonville game and I'm like I forgot he existed he was my like one of my second round picks right you know last last year I think in in Bestball and my guy I forgot did he I like nothing happened to him you just got passed by by Parker Washington I think he had some injury issues last season then they acquired Jacobi Myers as well and so he's kind of like the third guy now there that I think of um and Britton Strange is catching passes as well um but yeah I do think like Brian Thomas Jr will be a way to get different given that I forgot he existed yeah on the on the 100 by the way yeah it's crazy the
the fall there yeah it was not a great spot for him on the perimeter and they're playing tons of 12 personalities on the sidelines on those snaps but uh there's at least there like yeah there's ways to get different through this game environment uh as you get into larger field contests I guess uh do you have a preference between Joe Barrow and Trevor Lawrence and they'll move on to different game environments yeah well I like the feet I think ownership is going to be twice as high on lards over Borough because of the price difference and then when you get up to Borough you're so close to Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen that like optically you're just like what am I doing here on this non running quarterback but in the game environments where Borough hits he hits you know like uh we were looking at the the or I was listening to Reeves and Highlo right before we got on and like Highlo was pulling up the stacks tool like the percentage hit rate for Jamar chase plus Joe Barrow over the last three seasons and it's like insanely high the percentage in which they hit together but people don't think of going to Borough right they're going to think of it this week but no I think that like the math on paper who's the sharper play it's Trevor Lawrence but when you
bring in ownership into it it gets a little bit more muddy so uh I'm like I don't think one succeeds without the other but there's certainly a world where the running backs and the the jags of the team likely to have touchdowns go to the running backs because the bingles are just going to throw when they get in close uh so there's a world where like Tutton gets two scores right so Trevor Lawrence ends up putting up 22 draft Kings points in a shootout where Borough is putting up 36 and so there is a world where there's separation there but um but yeah like I lean Lawrence because of the price but then it gets a little bit more muddy when we think about what what wins is first place most often it might swing over to Borough so moving on to the like the next game environment that I like um I might be a little bit different I'm not sure I was looking up Patrick Mahomes is 151 indoors uh in his career averaging over 300 yards per game uh in 16 indoor games he's got 39 touchdowns and five interceptions um in a legion stadium in particular he's got 12 in five games he's got 12 touchdowns and two interceptions averaging 303 yards per game I like you know the
chiefs and Raiders I think there's a lot of pieces from this game you can go to like you already mentioned uh Brock Bowers uh you can to play him from the the Raiders side you can play Ash and Gentie um you know like Mahomes paired with any of his pass catchers uh is that the game you're thinking of or is it different that's that's my other game all right we are uh packing up we're done um yeah because like honestly so I pulled this out earlier as we got I actually so I watched the dolphins and sheep's game and then I went back and rewatched the whole first half and of every dolphins possession and counted how many times a chiefs player made contact with Malik Willis who's like the most sac prone quarterback in the NFL uh they touched him once in the first half and it was on a scramble where they tripped him up by the ankles past the line of scrimmage like and and like we had to have the caveat that these are humans who came off of like two big emotional wins and then traveled to Miami to take on like a known bad team right so they probably weren't playing
at their absolute best they weren't bringing their A game now they're playing a three-know-raters team on the road so you know they probably perform better here but like you know teams are pushing that defensive line in the run game teams are not like under pressure when they drop back to pass and clink kubiaks like I heard uh chris sim say this summer chris sims is like roommates with kyle shanahan in college they'll take it with a grain of salt but chris sims was saying like in the same way the super bowl windows always open with if you have mohomes or burrow or Lamar jaxon or patch from homes he's like the super bowl windows always open if you have kyle shanahan like designing your offense right but like kubiak he's not kyle shanahan yet because we haven't seen it enough but like remember those saints offices two years ago before they hit with injuries and then the sea ox last year and now the raiders are three you know and he's just like he's in the same system right like mike shanahan and and gary kubiak were were like joined at the hip for all those years like this is the same system and kubiak is really good at pushing the right buttons understanding how to
manipulate the rules of a defense to get guys wide open and kirk cousins looks healthy and he's a professional court and he's like a top 12 quarterback like he can distribute the ball he can stand at the place like a lesser dac press god so no like I don't think the chief's defense is that good and I think the raiders offense is really good especially with brock bower's back um i think i could see this being most of my practice builds this week have been larynx burrow my homes or cousins like just and tonight i've got to be like okay let me build some rosters around different spots just to see what else is out there because i hate those weeks where it's like sunday plays out and you're like god i never even thought about this other spot you know what i mean but like to me yeah these are the two games and these are the the quarterbacks and stacks and i'm thinking about i just i see this game being higher scoring than i think the raiders against chiefs would make you think because like chiefs defense doesn't look like chiefs defense raiders offense is better than than people think of it as being we we kind of think about you know patrick roams obviously roost to superstar them behind it yeah fantastic offense and i feel like there were a few years there where they kind of dialed it back a little bit or maybe just a couple of years where the chiefs kind of dialed it back
a bit and we weren't necessarily thinking of chiefs games as all that high scoring um and you know we we kind of said patrick roams might be a little bit overrated you might be a little bit overowned on on name value but i think the chiefs offense like if if the chiefs offense has to put up points I still think it can you know can mohams is still great um and like i said i'd love the fact that it's indoors you you know we don't think about the fact that this great chiefs offense when it has been great is operating in an outdoor environment in in arrowhead um so when they get to move indoors and you know we've seen this in some super bowls but patrick mohams can go nuts on it in a you know temperature controlled indoor environment so yeah i i think that's the the next game that i would go to it's interesting you said cousins i hadn't really had that on my radar and i was going to ask about it then you already said like oh i've been building rosters for cousins um i have to build some of those maybe more of a larger field uh tournament play but i don't know i i i i maybe have this like five or so single entry rosters to to build with so uh maybe that's because yeah i mean larynx is so cheap you know and and even mohams isn't that exp i mean i guess
they're saying that the neither is burrow but like yeah like the pride the gap in price isn't dramatic enough to be like cussons is definitely the top play i'm with you there he's fourth out of these four but it becomes i mean he's put up 21 and 22 his last two games um and you know he hasn't top 33 pass attempts which is you would expect in a kubiak offense but three touchdown passes in every game this year and if he just goes from you know 250 yards to 300 yards all of a sudden you're sitting on a 27 point game like that's totally possible in this spot so i don't want to completely discount it yeah on paper he's not a great play but i think he's very interesting if we like this game environment so we'll just talk about some of the other teams with high implied point totals um you know Lamar Jackson one of my favorites probably not in play uh as much this week it's good i get to take a week off of you know i'm sure i'll still have him like 150 line-up set but you know it's a big derrick Henry matchup against the titans which is kind of you know the revenge game with him waiting for any any thoughts there on and then of course like Josh Allen also in play as an expensive quarterback i guess like any thoughts there
newling buffalo actually has a pretty pretty decent total yeah man i drink may like it's hard to see a one week turnaround you know he's got one touchdown and six picks the arm strength doesn't look good the decision making looks awful and it's it it has the look of like something broken to where you're not just like oh this week they're gonna bounce back and maybe they do right those things happen but it seems less likely so i'm having a hard time getting to that game the um the one that i wanted to highlight what was it uh oh that's what i was gonna say the uh so i've had a lot of fun this week on the twitter machine with the whole derrick Henry revenge game thing but like realistically with the beat-up offensive line going against a good defensive line in the titans like i think he's gonna get volume but i also think the the Jesse Mentor's defense fundamentally is like okay giving up some running and then the ravens are not good at stopping the run so if you're the titans i think they're running the ball this isn't a titans talk but if if you're the titans i think they're running
the ball and i think that they're able to like keep this game looking competitive relatively deep into the game you know like there's a chance that this is just like one of those 41 to 10 ravens stops but there's also a chance that like the titans slow this down it's like 17 to six and half time and then like you know they pull away in the second half all that to say like i still think we see 26 to 30 pass attempts from Lamar and if we see 26 to 30 pass attempts and zay flowers is healthy like i think he has a chance to go nuclear and that people won't be on him because they're thinking about you know blow out dare canry so yeah zay flowers to me is like he's a guy who i think we're paying 7,900 for later in the year we're still getting him at 6,900 so i yeah i mean i think that you can go to dare canry but i just wanted to highlight since you brought up Lamar that zay flower is funny i think is interesting in tournaments this week you never have to sell me on the marge axon or z flowers so yeah i'll probably bump up my mese flowers exposure a little bit now that i've
gotten some some permission uh i guess uh moving on like next game environment that i'm seeing pop up a lot in projections as a game isn't it doesn't necessarily have that high of a total but it's Arizona and a giant and there are some like some kind of appealing pieces from the game uh dare my love uh traimic bride then cam scatiboo appearing in some projections it's not a game that i love kind of in my head as much as the projection seem to lake it for the price of what are your thoughts i yeah i'm with you the um like i've been very math-based in a lot of my early week builds and it's just like spamming me with stuff from this game but i do think that i wouldn't mind a rule of one cardinal's piece on any roster because like one of one of mcbride love michael wilson is probably going to have a big game they're so concentrated and they're and they're so effective um but watching the giants it's clear that this is rumour when james was on the saints and there was that
time we're kind of like man shan patent keon locks james um and shan patent which is like yeah we're gonna have him throw 22 times a game and we're gonna ask him to not make mistakes you know and it was like this isn't fun james and that's kind of what the giants look like they want you know and i hypothesized that last week but we had the weather is just kind of like uh maybe not but like thinking of jim harbaugh thinking or john harbaugh thinking of uh great roman mat naggy it makes sense that they're just like all right let's rain and james let's run the ball let's shorten the game and so that makes it harder for the game environment to go off so um yeah i think percent like percent stacks are in play but the person like the percentage of a chance of it hitting is much lower than like some of these other spots we've talked about because i don't see the shootout potential um if we get there then neighbors thrown into one of those stacks like it's super high upside but um yeah that's how i'm seeing this one yeah i think that's a good call i like the idea
i probably wouldn't do like a cardinal i mean if i'm you know making 150 lines i don't think i would want necessarily on a hundred percent of rosters to have like a cardinal's piece but i think naturally like all of the pieces make sense like some of these probably going to have a good game whether it's love or or mcbride or michael wilson um but yeah it's not necessarily it doesn't the game doesn't have that high of a total where uh yeah where you need to force in game stacks of this game uh you know like giant's cardinals um i guess one thing we should talk about are the injury situations just in jefferson's out how like does that make you you'll pile into a lot of duren addison i kind of like duren jones uh to start with uh minnesota is playing my amie so they're you know the that they're ten and a half point edge they're playing at home to me it's more of an air in jones spot with just just some jefferson out um well i guess what are your thoughts on addison versus air in jones yeah i'm with you i mean what you could like addison can do it on six catches right like he can go six for one thirty and a touchdown that's completely within his range of outcomes so i don't want to
talk down addison but in terms of how i expect this game to be called and how i expect this game to play out like my amie has has presented themselves as a more competitive team than we think of them as being and they've done it by running the ball right so like final scores what i mean is final scores in my amie games have looked like not respectable but the games themselves have looked respectable until like the act wears thin and the other team like pulls away right and my amie has done that by just running the ball and staying ahead of the chains and now there's no divan h-chan and you're playing minnesota who you literally can't run against and so it's like what happens here and then this is this is bringing up revenge against brian florist first game as defense of coordinator against the dolphins who like fired him and he sued the nfl because of like wrongful termination and all that like this is a spot where brian florist against the guy who takes sacks and really will just wants to like fire his shot you know and so yeah i don't like i don't see it being a
competitive game this is like the dolphin game that i think won't look respectable and the viking is just way in the lead which makes it harder to think that we're getting tons of passing volume yeah i forgot about that brian florist uh lost it that's one of my favorite nfl controversies incidents because i believe uh you know we always question whether a team's really trying to tank for for draft picks and that was like pretty solid evidence that yes that definitely happens um you know uh so yeah it was uh it was interesting lawsuit you know maybe go google it and and look it up um yeah that's that's my favorite one probably my florist didn't get a head coaching job last year like he's still actively suing but like it's still ongoing like that's still an open lawsuit um and i'm sure teams are like now i'm sure godel's leaning on teas like don't know how this guy's your head coach but like eventually it's gonna have to happen because he's so good you know like nobody nobody's like all the vikings are a great team everyone's like Kevin O'Connell and brian florist you know um they're gonna yeah this defense is gonna give the dolphins a hard time this week i would think so yeah it's hard to it's hard to paint the picture of the vikings being
super pass heavy so you just need extreme efficiency on addison which again he can do but um i like i would i would hate to so when i when i was playing 150 max um whenever i say like 100% of rosters i would always then force myself to dial that back to 80% because i'm like i want to leave a portion right so but i would i would be 80% this week on like one cardinals per roster and then i would have like i would always try to think who are the players who can break the slate in this role or game environment that like i never wanted to be the guy who was like i didn't have any of this guy you know so addison's a type of guy who would be like yeah i gotta have 5% of him in my mme portfolio but um because he you can totally paint the picture here this week but i don't want it on my tighter builds because it's it's not the game environment or like game flow i want to draw up for that yeah uh i've actually forgot henn was injured i think i was going through like the injury situations uh but the dolphins only have a 14 implied point total which is shockingly low for this time of season you know for the for week four like sometimes you see that when a
you know week 17 18 teams on its third string quarterback in the ice and snow and yeah yeah you see like a 12 or 13 points in you know team implied total um the dolphins are 14 which is shockingly low for for week four uh speaking of the injury situations another big one is bris hall is injured uh i think there's a direct backup there in braille and alan um how much do you like braille and alan this week i'll say he doesn't really jump off the page in terms of of projections like i thought he would uh in the situation where bris hall is injured uh do you like braille and alan do you like uh garret wilson or is it a stayaway spot for you against chicago um you know which has been a pretty accommodating defense so far yeah i mean i don't think braille and alan's a bad play i don't think i'm gonna get to him um because you also have scataboo and and air and jones and chase brown all you know 800 to 900 more than him um braille and alan is uh i've drawn it up like i think you probably get 11 to 12 points before touchdowns in most
scenarios so then you know you're if you get that one touchdown 18 points at that price tag is really nice or if you kind of an outlier yardage game or something like that then yeah you get that shot but i kind of see him the way i saw air and jones the last two weeks right this week's different because it's against Miami and things set up really well the last two weeks it was like yeah the rolls great but i i don't i'm not scared of this guy burying me and i think there's a uh a better chance of him kind of under performing salary than hitting what you want at his salary so it won't surprise me if braille and alan puts up 18 or 22 or something like that but i don't think that that's the likeliest outcome and um he can go for 25 but that's an outlier scenario for sure so yeah not a guy that i'm gravitating toward right now so one more injury situation davonte smith is likely out i think he might be officially out or i'm just assuming he's out uh but i'm actually struggling to think of a of an eagles like pass catcher i know that on tavy and wicks is there he's probably the number one guy other than sequan barclay and i don't know if that makes me think i want to
play some wicks on tavy and wicks or it makes me think maybe sequan barclay is a little bit of a sneaky play uh they're playing the rams but i think miles garrot and uh air and don all of both out i do you know where i guess where are you going on davonte smith injury is it to barclay or to wicks or or to meet her yeah i i'm still on wicks um i say still because i when i was listening to reabs and hylo who i you know their researches to me to the absolute best in the space and they were both just like when they brought this up they were both like uh no this eagles offense is completely broken like i don't need any pieces from it and i will say i had a buddy who texted me this morning and was like hey what do you think about um he was somebody to offer him like he has kairan williams and somebody else for sequan barclay and i was like do you know i don't think we're going to like look back at the end of the season and be like oh sequan just had a cold start you know like the offense looks bad and um it looks the same you know it looks like jaylin hurts is still refusing
to throw over the middle on there having to accommodate him on that and so yeah i don't i don't want to bet on the turnaround on tighter build i think in large field play you have to think about note of on to smith what if something hits here um but i i don't think i i don't know that i'm going to get there like i have don't avian wicks listed as a viable chief option in my player grid and i think that's how we think of him not as like a guy that you lock button based on changing roles basically uh so just one more game environment we didn't actually touch on at all uh Dallas and houston i guess a battle of texas um but neco colons expected to be out there's actually some pretty big names in this game with cdlam neco colons George pickens um japan te williams i is this a game act this might actually be my yeah as i'm talking about it might be my you know third favorite uh game environment of the week uh just i guess like not a lot of notable injuries that are creating value uh do you like this game at all um and how would you play it would you play the
stride side or the dac side i feel like cj stride is popping in projections that i think i've got them on my list of top five quarterbacks um i now that i'm thinking about it i don't see why i wouldn't play dac though um i guess houston's at home houston's favorite by three points uh just seems like dac has George pickens and cdlam like i could i feel like i can get a lot of the texans passing environment just by playing neco colons if i can if i can do that uh i don't know i guess ownership considered i probably like backpressed cut yeah i i i don't i won't be on this game uh i'm sure if i were like 150 max i'd have exposure but if i have like nine rosters i'm not going to be on this game but i've heard you know like you're not the only sharp person i've heard talking about this game including like ball knowledge people you know who are can make the case for how people from this game hit um generally speaking i just treated as plus ev to avoid wide receivers against the
texans and um even excellent wide receivers and even like when jimmar chase hit like we saw the highlight play it was like oh catch of the year like how long are they doing that and it took like the catch of the year and some other sick plays to hit like 26 points you know uh which at his price tag it was like cool like people got a solid score from him so that's that's how i look at this game but i mean yes the cowboys often so i'm not going to be surprised and then nico collins um a lot of question marks terms of like does he have a full snap share do the um do the cowboys put Joey Porter junior on him just say like go play man cover you don't know the defense but go play man coverage is his conditioning up like there's so many questions here that questions can certainly benefit us in tournaments but i don't think it's where i'm going it does actually bring me um speaking of teens i don't usually play wide receivers against um you have any thoughts on pukinakua because it looks like he's going to play but it's against the going back to 2024 the eagles have allowed two wide receivers to top 30 points and puk has two of the top 10 games against the eagles but there was like
25 points and 23 points um so you have any thoughts on because puk is also popping in projections and whatnot and uh yeah it's hard to do yeah i don't know if i love it but he's clearly a player that can always kill you um but i it didn't fill it out for you the ram seven 23 implied total um they are favored by four and a half i just think there's other guys at rather play uh i know that like pukinakua can always kill you i'm probably just gonna skip it um i think i'd probably rather play jackson smith and jigba uh who we also didn't talk about um he just seems to be the entire Seattle offense and they they seem to be struggling without a rushing game but it seems like one of those situations where we're going to look back at the end of the season and go why do we not play json every single week like we would have made so much money if we just like lock button tim matter with the price tag um i guess yeah yeah what are your thoughts on puk versus json yeah no i'm with you i think jason's a uh stronger play the pukin one i i i have a hard time pulling
the trigger there i just built some rosters earlier in the week because um yeah it was like it was projecting so well and like running simulations it was like oh pukin stands out as this guy who can you know be on tournament winning rosters like but is he really you know like do i really think that no um and so let me take what i think as opposed to what a computer thinks is is where i lean on that and then yeah json i said earlier today on pizzo but uh like it's giving me kuprikup 2021 vibes you know where it was like yeah like you just play him every week that you can because in his bad games he's putting up 25 and you're you're like yeah like i would have liked more than 25 at this price tag but i'm not going to complain about 25 points especially at most of the weeks it's going to be 30 to 40 and so i feel like we could just be in for that type of season from json my thing with json and i highlighted this last week is when you put into cascading projections because you know cascading projections basically says like let's redraw the projections based on what happens when this guy does this and so i put in json at 36 points last week it's like if json scores 36 what
does that do to darnold's projection and his projection went up to 27.2 so then i went into the stacks tool it was like okay has that actually happened when json is hit and it's like yeah most of the time when json hits darnold hits as well and so we highlighted that last week is like people are going to play json and not darnold but most of the time he's going to carry darnold up with him and you get that that square correct and honestly if like we had one person win a tournament with that last week and most of like our tournament wins regino stacks but if jino hadn't hit last week like darnold plus json would have been kind of the story of the dfs weekend and um and so that's kind of the one thing is i'm like do i really want to play darnold here do i want to play json solo and just hope it's a game where he doesn't pull darnold up with him uh but darnold at his price tag like it's got a pretty good shot at 25 to 30 if json's hitting 30 plus so i think that's also something to think about in that spot yeah darnold's 5500 that's insane json's worth totals all came in week one for receiving yard receptions and receiving touchdowns when he had eight receptions for 122
receiving yards and one touchdown he's then put up two touchdowns and three touchdowns and nine receptions and ten receptions and beat 120 yards both of the next two games on these playing the uh patriots defense and we don't play wide receivers against he lost his quarterback partway through the game yeah it's insane yeah i mean you could actually just put that on a roster like sam darnold json and then just fill in the rest of the roster with skill players from another another game game back yeah yeah lowers your uh price too on json if you're like okay but i'm gonna split this cost i mean honestly not not as much this week as we're all considering Trevor Lawrence at 400 more and then whatnot but yet it does lower that cost so be like yeah i'm paying 70 270 300 per player for this uh for this stack and hoping for 60 to 70 points from it oh that i'll just about do it for the week any final thoughts on the week no i think we covered things pretty well um whatever we missed i'm sure we covered it in our in our content so check out four for four check out ows and see what we've got for you there thanks everybody
for tuning in hope to see you at the top of the leaderboards and we will catch you next week
