Get on, get to the finish. Get rid of the counter. I'm always keeping real. Let me sink on, get the power list. The power power, LSU. A partner list the power power. LSU, a partner. Get rid of the counter. I'm always keeping real. Get on, get the power list. The power power, LSU. A partner list the power power, LSU. Get rid of the counter. Get rid of the counter. Get rid of the counter. Get rid of the counter. Oh boy. Oh boy. Get rid of the counter. Get rid of the counter. It's amazing. The things that you love in life will always get bought out. It's capitalism and a nutshell.
But the 2014 playoff is essentially here. It is inevitable. Every single insider is reporting this. It seems as if people are in lockstep. And even more importantly, there's already conversations regarding the buyouts of conference championship games. And there's going to be changes in how the college football calendar works. When they still not fixed, what really matters when it comes to the college football calendar, which of course is recruiting, this sucks. And the truth is, when it comes to obviously side topic, it will get back into the playoff. But the college football calendar and interrupting an actual season to build your next year's team, which is a dumbest shit I've ever heard in my life. But this sport that's outstunned, no other sport on the plane in Earth does it like that, except this one.
The reason they don't fix that is that it doesn't really hurt anyone's checkbook. But this, oh, everybody's making more money. Except you. Except you. So, I hate this. I really, really, really do. I'm trembling. I'm mad that a 2014 college football playoff is here. And I understand what people that are for the 2014 playoff would say, oh, it's more great games. It's actually going to make the regular season better. It's going to keep more teams involved. Then, no, no, no, no. And you're going to watch it anyway. Doesn't mean it's going to take away from college football's greatest asset, which is its regular season. And if there is anything that you will take away from this show tonight, if you were to decide, hey, I don't ever want to watch Carter again, because he always promised he wouldn't curse in the first couple of minutes of a weekday, hump day, live streaming. You are right about that, but that lets you know how furious I am.
Okay. Here's the truth. Y'all. College football and everything in life comes down to branding. How you perceive something is always more important than what that is. And then what that actual thing is. And the big problem with college football is that we always call our regular season regular. And American sports fans, they don't like regular. When it's the exact opposite. It's the exact opposite when it comes to the playoffs. Playoffs to get you excited. Playoffs like, okay, now these games really count. And now it's for all the marbles. College football, those things are actually flipped. Playoff games are really that exciting really. Random games put together by a random group of people. By the way, the biggest of which are decided on neutral sites. Sanitize NFL stadiums.
That's not what college football is. And I understand what the new college football playoff format. And the 2014 there's going to be a lot of first round playoff games. But do you really think college football playoff games are going to continue to be played on campuses? No, because they know they can make even more money by putting all of it on neutral sites, just like they did with March madness. It's why I like the women's tournament. In many ways more than the men's tournament because they actually do play the first couple of rounds on campus. So what does this mean for you? Whoever you are watching this right now. Well, it's actually a good thing. It's actually a good thing if you are an LSU fan. Because we are a program that is more normally ranked in that 10 to 24 range. That's who LSU really is. Like we've never always been a perennial every year Georgia, Alabama, top five team Ohio State.
We've never really been that. At times were sometimes that back end of a top 10 team. Obviously 2018 LSU is one that comes to mind. 2010 LSU comes to mind. But those teams would have still gotten into a 12 team format. And the truth is as much as I love 2016 LSU, one of the most talented teams we've ever had, that team really could have made a run if there was a 2014 playoff. You saw what we did to Lamar Jackson in that bowl game. I was there. Some of you were as well. That team should not be getting into the college football playoff. By the way, that beat down versus Texas saying him not really that big a deal for Texas saying him because guess what? In a 2014 playoff, they still would have some wiggle room, one extra loss maybe even to. So this sucks. This really, really, really sucks. It's not official, but it is going to be and this sport is forever changed. Now. Is it the worst thing? Are there some benefits of a 2014 playoff?
Sure. Our players going to be more engaged because there's going to be more playoff games. Sure. Does it in many ways make the postseason more valuable? Yeah. Technically, yes, to me, it does it, but sure. But there are some things that I would concede as far as a 2014 playoff that I actually do think with the way college football training. It does make a little more sense. It does make it a little bit more palpable if you will. These conferences are deeper, right? In particular, the SEC is deeper. I don't know about the big 10 and I definitely don't know about the ACC or big 12, but the SEC is deeper. These middle teams, I think they are here to here to stay. If they continue to still care, the middle tier teams. That is Kentucky. That is what we have right now with Mississippi State.
Kind of sort of Auburn, if you want to throw them in there. Historically, Ole Miss. Those middle tier SEC teams, they're better. They're way better than what they used to be. All right? And sure. There was those Dacquist Press God, Nick Fitzgerald teams, but more often than not, Mississippi State was bad. And then Ole Miss beat us a few times. Sure. But these middle tier SEC teams that can beat us, let's be honest, it's going to be really hard for LSU to go 4-0 before the buy. Because Auburn, Mississippi State and Kentucky, they all have a pulse. If this was the less miles there, at least one of those teams would be downright atrocious. So it's just not really like that anymore. Are there still bad SEC teams? Sure, there's Arkansas. I'd say Arkansas, whoever in consider to be the worst team in the SEC. Well, they just blew out Tulsa who beat Oklahoma State who's very good.
And Arkansas is the best receiver right now in the SEC. So because his talent is just evened out, it makes me a little bit more open to a 2014 playoff because it is harder. And we also do have an extra conference game. And look, this was my position. I would have preferred if I had to choose between one or the other. A nine. It's not just electric. It's Toyota Electric. And during Toyota's Easy Choi sales event, going electric is easier than ever. Right now, save instantly on a new Toyota EV with special incentive programs for first time EV buyers and prior EV owners. Choose the sleek, busy, the adventurous, busy, woodland, or the sporty CHR. But don't wait. These special savings won't last. We make it easy. Toyota, let's go places. Show button here. Football season is finally back. And prize picks is bringing out their best offer yet.
New users who sign up will get $150 in lineups if you win your first $5 lineup. That's right. If you win your first $5 lineup, you'll get $150 in lineups. On prize picks, you simply pick two to six players, pick more or less on their staff projections and submit your lineup. Then, sweat it out as you watch your picks play out live. It's the best way to get more locked in on game day. Make all the picks you want. This football season, all in the same app. Also, prize picks is going crazy with the deals to start the football season. Giving users a new promo every day during stack September. And now, prize picks is available nationwide. So what are you waiting for? Lock in for kickoff because everyone and everything is on prize picks. What you want? Download the app today and use code blue wire to get $150 in lineups if you win your first $5 lineup. Prize picks, run your game. Team or a nine game SEC schedule. If it meant making it a 16 team college football playoff, I would do that.
But 24 is just a bridge too far. 16, I think with a nine game SEC schedule would have been fine. 24? Oh, you're going to get some mid eight and 14s in there. Think about it this way. Arizona. How many of you remember Arizona last year? Arizona would have been on the outside looking in of a 16 team college football team. College football playoff. Arizona is not good. That is not a good team. They would have been on the outside looking in in a 2014 playoff. Arizona is getting in with ease. You don't want that. You do not want that. Okay. So long rant to start. It is what it is. Let's go to Stanley. They should put the entire SEC in every year. It is going to go to Gunter.
I hate the 2014 playoff as a regular season will not be as meaningful and you will have blowouts. Unfortunately, though the government is just raising prices which will make more money. Yeah, you got to your right. It is a price of groceries. That is why they are doing it. Which, let's be honest, I might actually be true. It is going to free wound. I don't know what really needs to be fixed is that big matchups like Texas and Tennessee are happening at 11. Well, LSU versus Mnisse is happening at 7. I love LSU, but come on. Yeah, I agree with you. I have called out LSU having so, so, so many nine games. And look, other people that complain about it. They are somewhat justified in their reasoning with that. Craig says. Greg Sinkie is the worst commissioner of all time. This is not truly on him. It is not. Okay. Sinkie is not like the biggest expansionist. You know, he gets asked all the time. Hey, who are we adding to the SEC next and he's been against it?
This is more the big 10 commissioner based on my understanding. It's obviously both of them. But look, this is one of the instances where you as a fan and we're going to get to all your comments. Tony is always the first one in here. Appreciate Monopol for joining the membership program. Okay. You all understand. I know some of these TV people. I do. So, I went to LSU and I have a degree in broadcast journalism. But that's different than like television executives and all of that. I've met them and I've met them at the SEC media days. I've met them in press boxes. And some of them truly just do not care about college football. They don't they don't care. They want to make the most money. And Tony Petiti is the ultimate.
A malgamation of all those things. Rath than one. He is a television executive. Where does college football make most of its money? Through its television contracts. And college football playoff games just make so so so much money. I've read the college football playoff games when it was a 14 playoff. It would make more money than all the ball games combined. So imagine a 12 team playoff that made that even bigger. And then we get to where we are now. I'm going to talk about LSU. The LSU make niece break down will be on tomorrow's livestream. But I feel like this is probably the thing that most of you want to talk about. You know, our thumbnail was a Doose Gerald's a little bit earlier. At a Doose rant that I wanted to go on. I've gone on plenty of those. But the truth here is I think most of you want to talk 2014 playoff.
And I think it's a little bit more of a challenge to standly. The extra games might wear out the players. Well, that's what the inverse is actually going to happen. Like if it was a 2014 playoff. It would be a non negotiable that teams would rest a lot of people versus the players. And actually more importantly, they would rest more players in actual P4 games. All right. So let me show you an example of that. Let's say LSU. All right. So. Death Valley will always have night games. No matter the opponent. We got Mississippi State coming to town here pretty soon. So there you go. Okay. So I want to show you something that this is going to more than likely create. So yeah, you get first round buys. There will be buys and all of that. But we also know that first round buys are not necessarily the best thing that coaches
won. They want as many home games as possible and a home playoff game. Even though the revenue is done differently. It makes a lot of money. So. This is what could happen with a 24 team college football playoff. So let's say LSU with this schedule after Auburn has two losses. They have two losses. And they come back from the buy and they beat Alabama and they beat Texas. This would give Lane Kiffin flexibility to load manage in an actual P4 game. It's one thing if you do it versus McNeese. It's another thing you do it in an actual SEC game. And let's just say LSU beat Tennessee as a two loss team. What would they truly have to gain from playing Arkansas?
All right. So instead of a two loss team, let's just make this a one loss team. All right. Would a one loss LSU team really have a lot to gain from beating Arkansas? Maybe if you beat them and you're the number one team in the SEC, you get the double buy. Sure. But there could be a world where you just rest everybody in that game. It doesn't really change your seating whatsoever. Do you really want that on rival week? I could definitely see Ohio State running the big 10 going undefeated. Ohio State, especially with no comforts championship game. They're going into Michigan. Big game. It's the game. It's the biggest rivalry we have in the sport. They go into Michigan. And what's the point? Do you really want to play physical Michigan? When you have potentially three playoff games to win for the NADD?
Is that really what you want to do? Of course, you could risk not playing your guys versus Michigan and then have an even longer layoff. But it does open up those kinds of possibilities. Okay. Tennis girl. I knew it. You're coming in the troll. That's all good. Good to see you. LSU is a top five team. Stay on what's talk about this year's team. So we will do that. And also enjoy the sport while we have it. Okay. Okay. So a few things. I was called a beta on Twitter for a mic and a college football. Or not like it a college football playoff. It's danger. Okay.
Okay. Now, you know, I do think one big benefit are the players. Right. Players will remain a lot more locked in. And. Coaches wanted it. That's the thing. That's what's really going to hurt. Is that of course, yeah, the expansionist, the powers of B. The true power brokers. They wanted college football to have as many playoff games as possible. So they could make as much money as they possibly can. However, coaches wanted it to. They just did. And the reason for that is job security. And of course, what head coaches have to say about the subject is different. And how a lot of his assistants or coaches, analysts, how they feel behind closed doors.
They love it too. And the reason for that is it's a lot easier to sell. Hey, we were in the playoff. It goes back to the beginning. Us talking about branding. So. Let's say Georgia Tech, for instance, with Haynes King last year. They probably would have gotten into a 2014 college football playoff field. And. Even though we got the extension and a big deal. Brent key. How much cooler is it to say, hey, we made it to the playoffs. Had a great season, but we lost. Compared to, hey, my name is Brent key. We're doing great things at Georgia Tech. We made it to the pop-tard bowl and lost. You tell me what sounds better. I'm telling you, man, once you realize as you get older that the biggest champ,
the biggest con in all of professional American sports in particular is the playoffs. Posties. There's no exceptions. Maybe outside of the NFL. But. The playoffs don't really add anything to me. MLB playoffs. Sure, it's thrilling. Best two out of three series for everything. Oh, it's great. Those are going on right now, by the way. For the people that still do care about baseball, I like baseball. But you're telling me a three game series is the determining factor of how a 162 game season is supposed to be remembered. That makes no sense. But what is it? October baseball. That's all people care about. NBA playoffs. Same thing. NBA playoffs are great. They're thrilling. They're exciting.
But NBA games are never played in a series. It's a four game series versus another team when you play 82 regular season games. So almost in every way the playoffs aren't as good as a regular season. It just is other than the fact that everybody cares. And with college football, it definitely needed some better variation of a postseason. Then just two teams being decided by a computer. But I would prefer that than a 2014 playoff. I would. I would. Let's go to Seth who's been one of our sharpest viewers up until today. I'm kidding. Huh? Seth says I would rather see more playoff games than meaningless bowl games. Good. Because Seth, I'll tell you this.
A lot of people feel the way that you feel. To where you in your core is like, okay, well, this might not be the best thing. But it also is one of those things where. I get more great games. I get more compelling games. I get more close games. And in many ways, you're probably right. So with the first round playoff games, be compelling. Yes, because you would have more than likely the way that they would set this up. It wouldn't be one versus 24. Obviously, that wouldn't make sense. It would probably round it off where you would have like a nine in three team versus another nine in three team. And that game would be compelling. I'll give you that. And it's better in that setting than it is a bowl setting totally understand that. And Seth, what a lot of people that feel the way you feel would say is look, the other lower levels, they play playoff games.
They do a big playoff at the, at the end of the season. Actually, there's someone now standing like literally 20 yards from where I am right now. And he's played in D2 playoffs and he told me how great it was. So actually, I take that back. He told me how much he wanted to play in the D2 playoffs. It seemed I don't think ever actually made it. But it's how much his teammates enjoyed playing in something so big as a big playoff. And I get that. But is it truly worth it though? Is it worth that feeling for one extra bowl game to be a playoff game instead of hey. The game LSU played versus Texas saying him into Texas saying them season. And even though it didn't in Texas saying him season, a name could win out.
I want their season to end with that game and Tiger Stadium. You didn't show up. Hundreds of thousands of A&M fans showed up. They made the trip to Baton Rouge. You didn't. And you lost that game. Got your asses kicked. It's good to Frank. It's not just electric. It's Toyota Electric. And during Toyota's easy-to-coys sales event, going electric is easier than ever. Right now, save instantly on a new Toyota EV with special incentive programs for first time EV buyers and prior EV owners. Choose the sleek Beasy, the adventurous Beasy, Windland, or the Sporty CHR. But don't wait. These special savings won't last. We make it easy. Toyota, let's go places. Show button here. Football season is finally back. And prize picks is bringing out their best offer yet. Users who sign up will get $150 in lineups if you win your first $5 lineup.
That's right, if you win your first $5 lineup, you'll get $150 in lineups. Download the app today and use code BlueWire to get $150 in lineups if you win your first $5 lineup. Prize picks run your game. Say you wanted this card or you wanted this when you wanted a nine game conference schedule. This was always the next step. One mistake to fix another mistake. Frank, welcome to the channel. I don't think I've ever seen your comment.
I could tell you've been watching and he says then there were those of us who tried to tell people it won't stop at 24 either. They're going to add more sources. That's the intention. So here's what I would say to you, Frank. Is these two comments that you have back to back. Do you really think if the SEC's coaches had what they wanted, which is an eight game conference schedule? Do you think if it stayed as an eight game conference schedule that they wouldn't have still moved it out to 24 teams, you're kidding yourself. They were always going to do this. So this actually strengthens my nine game conference schedule argument is that we're getting more marquee games. And now an eight game conference schedule with a 2014 playoff makes it ten times more ridiculous and a nine game conference schedule with a 2014 playoff.
I can go on and on about this. Yeah, the NFL playoffs are perfect. I didn't like the stretch to seven. I would have stayed at six to 16 NFL playoffs was perfect. That made a lot of sense, but a 12 team playoff. I thought was fantastic. I didn't ever want them to go to four. I thought six would be perfect. I think 12 is fantastic. And honestly, I would be in favor of 16 24. She's crazy. 24 is just absolutely insane. All right. I do there is a lot of LSU. I wanted to talk. I didn't think it would be a diluge or national reporter saying, hey, be ready for this and. You know, you guys messaging. Hey, we want to. We want to talk about this. So coming up next, we will get into a few. LSU News and Notes. What I'm hearing as far as prep versus mingees.
And there you go. It is. Ph. L. I. Are you missing that sweet swing? If pain is holding your golf game back, you must check out the full simulator at the Lafayette location of Labored Therapy Center. As Chase and his team built this simulator to go along with a full set of programs catered to your needs. Yes, this entire team at Labored Therapy worked hard to fix that back. Your elbow, shoulders, wrist, knees, toes. It doesn't matter at their Lafayette location. 337-981-4053 call today. But what if you don't golf and what if you don't live in Lafayette? No problem. They fixed anything therapy related. Both today, Labored Therapy.com with locations in Aaron Crowe,
Youngsville, Morgan City and Crowley. Labored Therapy.com, L-A-B-O-R-D-E therapy.com. Let's go. L-S-U-Trivia.com. Let's freaking go. It's a simple game. It's free to play. Every single day, you'll get five new clues to trying to guess the LSU Tiger Legend. So you can see right here, I am one of the most prolific underclassmen in LSU history. So I'm going to guess Tyran Matthew. And that is not it. I'm a five-star recruit and NFL draft pick. I'm actually drawing a blank, I actually coded this a few months ago. Five-star recruit and NFL draft pick. Patrick Peterson. Okay. Okay, now I remember this one.
Basically, you just keep going until you get the correct guess. And in this case, it is Harold Perkins. Get different types of clues in there. The best thing to do, and I'm still working on some of these details down here. Copy results. You can share that, post it on social media and all that stuff. So there you go, LSUTrivia.com. We want to shout out the revelry in Baton Rouge, Zilee Ziana. Revbar.com. Once again, that's THERB-BAR.com. It's a go-to place pregame. And let's be honest, it's a lot of people setting up. So if you need a place to go in your typical tailgate isn't doing its thing, check out the revelry 3347 Highland Road, Baton Rouge, Zilee Ziana 70802. And don't forget to tag me in photos. The revelry in Baton Rouge.
And the location of Rust. I also want to shout out the location of Rust. Love the location of Rust. And price picks. America's number one sports pick app. We have been rolling with the P-Pizzle. Derrick Henry versus his old team. Dehenny, maybe some money last week. Jameer Gibbs. Why would I go against Jameer Gibbs and what should be a track meet? Let's add one more. The Shawn Watson passing TDs. They really think he's going to throw for a TD. I'm going to take that off. I'm not going to go to Shawn Watson. And Jalen Moore and he's on fire. We'll go more in his rushing yard total. I really shot our numbers up here. It's built a big one.
Oh, Dak Prescott 271.5 passing yards. I really like less here. Long trip back after being in Rio. And you have to go to Houston. Houston's always better after they start at 0 and 3 last year. I really like this spot for a bounce back game for the Houston defense. Okay. So 3 out of 4. Since it is a longer shot thing. We'll go with this 5 to win 20. Dak less. Jalen Moore and Moore. Jameer Gibbs and Derrick Henry scoring. Looks like a winner to me. Price fixes America's number one sports pick gap. Submit lineup on and put my low graphic up. Price fix. Big thanks to HMA and the team.
Use my promo code. More importantly, use my link down below. It does help me in a major way. The P Pizzle Snoop Doggie Fizzle. Let's go here. Since there is no draft. I need something for teams that lose early to look forward to. What do you mean by no draft? It's crazy. A Tesla logo. I like it. You know what's funny. I've never actually had to take that back. The only time I've been in a Tesla is an Uber. I've never really been in one. I've never driven a Tesla. I've never driven a Tesla. I've never driven a Tesla. I've never driven a Tesla. I've never driven a Tesla.
I think the Texans can turn it around now that I think about it. The big story is regarding LSU football and the game on Saturn. Should Link Kiffin rest some of his players? And the answer is yes. At least drastically decreased their snap load. I don't think I would just totally not dress people out unless they're in the game. I would just totally not dress people out unless they truly are not available. But what I would also say is you also don't want to lose chemistry. You also don't want to lose what you've been putting together over the last couple of weeks. Let me see. Okay.
Should have an injury report tomorrow. Unless you career versus me niece 2 and 0. So did I do some until I'm a niece? Yes. They are 2 and 3. How many of you are typed? Why for yes type in for no? You knew the niece state cowboys record before the stream tonight. I will say this is the least I have felt people have cared about a win. They did beat East Texas A&M 27 to 24.
UT Rio Grande 27 to 10. They lost that one. Tarleton state 27 24. They beat Texas Wesley in 52 to 0. And they lost to Steven F Austin 38 to 27. Kind of weird that the number 27 has been 4 out of their 5 scores. I don't think they would score 27. I think LSU would score more than 27 in this game. Let's go to guy Fox or first super. So it seems a word coach Kiffin has a tiger is taking swimming lessons this week. Concerns me about having so many games in the playoffs is injuries. I think he is a little bit more than a tiger. He says no he didn't know. Oh man.
So look. Lane is always ahead of the curve when it comes to like taking things a little easier. So it's not like this is more. More lax. They didn't just walk through per se but. Other practices are more physical Lane saw that how crazy. The schedule would be.
He was very cautious right how many times have you seen a healthy tight in and a gold on contact uniform. So you know. The lane is a definite going to take it easy on Saturday. And Guy says it concerns me about having so many games in the playoffs as injuries. Yeah, and once again, the calendar just doesn't, in college football, doesn't make sense. I will also preface that nothing about college football makes sense. Nothing. And I'll share this story. This first time I shared it this year, but a wife and I, we got engaged in London a few years ago. And it was the greatest trip I've ever made. I can live in London. Love it over there. Okay. So I'm over there and, you know, British people are nice and you could be having a pint and
just strike up random conversation and they'll ask, hey, what do you do? And I told them I was a college football YouTuber. I wasn't doing really any NFL at the time. And British people understand the NFL really well, right? Because they play those games in England every now and then. Okay. But with college football, just explaining college football to them, it's just such a foreign thing to where it hit me. It's like, I understand college football. I grew up in the sport. So I understand it. But it really doesn't make any sense, especially when you tell them, hey, this sport subsidizes all the other sports. Like college football pays for women's tennis, which is a crazy thing to say. Now I think it's a good thing. I do. But, you know, that's it. Like, explaining college football to someone is not.
So none of this makes any type of sense. None of it. But at the same time, we want to make it the best impossible we can. Make it make this support the absolute best. It could be. And I just don't think this is the right way to do it. And yeah, injuries are going to pile up. However, playoff schedules are different. Even though this, they don't want college football games going into late January. Then want an ending closer to New Year's day. So it makes sense. That's a bayou band to get to see. Alex wants to talk about Nick Savage, strength, the condition and coach at LSU. So you have to ask, hey, what are the injuries that LSU is suffering?
Well, a lot of them are like really gruesome injuries. So it's like, like severe injuries, like season enters. So it could just be random. But if next year we are starting to see the same thing unfold, then we should start asking more questions.
Because this kind of became the college football, like big picture, non LSU string. And that's why I want this to be. I'm not really done as much. I mean, he's prep like we did last week for the A&M shows. But let's continue. So there was a report earlier today from FOS that college football viewership is down. So the exact words, college football viewership is down 11% through September compared to last season. FOS game broadcasts are averaging 1.7 million viewers across all Nielson rated networks. You know who I have to blame for that? It's Indiana. I'm serious. It's Indiana on two different fronts. The general public just doesn't like it when a non power wins a whole thing. And then with Indiana, the defending champions, they play nobody in the first three weeks.
So Indiana, this new shiny toy, biggest alumni base, ridiculous celebrities as well. And you have Kurt Signetti, this powerful figure with a brand new team and all of that. And you play nobody in the first three weeks. Y'all, YouTube shows this. It's just how it is. The first few weeks of the season is when everybody's invested. Everybody's on the same playing field. Everyone's season. There's no losses. The buzz doesn't wear out. There's in particular, college football or there's no preseason. There's a lot of excitement leading into it. And if you're defending champion plays nobody, we're a champion driven society in America. Look, it's just how it is. When you play Howard, look, half my family graduated from Howard. All right. I like Howard. You shouldn't be playing Howard. All right. Okay. It's one thing you play Howard.
What about the other two games where you play nobody? So that sucks. And then your first real game versus Northwestern. And that was a really good game. So it's it's it's despicable that the big 10 was crying foul about the nine game conference schedule, but they don't have an out of conference P4 requirement. And your defending champion has a huge, it's a huge advantage, by the way, where in theory, we're playing nine winnable games where the SEC is playing 10 or to put it better. Indiana has three games they cannot lose. The SEC has two. So Indiana's a big reason. I'm serious. As part of five, your ship is down like it's just not exciting to see someone if they can to throw him saving in Alabama or urban Meyer or Ryan Day in Ohio State.
Curd Signetion, Indiana, just not the same. Now as much as I want Indiana to play better. It's not just electric. It's Toyota electric and during Toyota's easy choice sales event, going electric is easier than ever. Right now, safe instantly on a new Toyota EV with special incentive programs for first time EV buyers and prior EV owners choose the sleek, busy, adventurous, busy, woodland or the sporty CHR. But don't wait. These special savings won't last. We make it easy. Toyota, let's go places. Petition. I'm not a college football casual, but when your viewership goes down, well, that's it. You know, like die-hards are always going to watch. We think. But all of that aside, we also really don't know how Nielsen works.
Like, can any of y'all explain how Nielsen ratings are done? No idea. No, nobody can. One concern though about that is last year someone smarter than me who works in television, watches a show occasionally. He reached out and explained hate carder, I want to tell you something, everybody's ratings are going to be up this year. And that's crazy. How could everybody's ratings go up when it is harder than ever to compete for eyeballs with TikTok, social media, all these different channels? And he said, well, they're changing the way they do ratings. And I was like, okay, go on. And basically how they counted and all, quite a few social media platforms, YouTube itself,
do they change how they do views, right? But Nielsen changed up some things on how they actually gather, who's watching, and everybody's numbers actually went up. So if everybody's numbers went up, but college football's numbers have gone down, what I need to know is, is Nielsen still doing the same gauging of ratings as last year's they are doing now? Because if that's the case, it is concern. But I'm telling you, a big reason is the big 10. The big reason is the big 10 because they don't play big time at a conference games. All right. It's our out of conference requirement that led us to one of the biggest ratings of the year, which was the season opener versus Clemson that we played. LSU's been one of the most viewed teams and it helps if we've been on ABC. The ABC Bums are real thing. You're always going to have at least double the audience if you're playing on ABC compared
to ESPN, which is still kind of wild to me, but that's a different story for a different day. But the college football ratings are down. All right. So there's 11% is is drastic, honestly, but I want to wait a little bit longer. The thing that is true though is that the SEC games are the ones drawing the biggest numbers. And I know there's been some pushback on what I've said about nine game SEC schedules. Y'all, this shit's been awesome. I'm sorry. Like we're getting bigger games. We are getting bigger games. Like there's two really crappy weeks in the SEC this year. There's week one and then the week before rivalry week. All the other weeks are really good because that extra SEC game is made it to where there's
just more compelling games. And look, I'll show you. There's another week that's kind of in. But you look. So this will be the first week we have buys. And this is with the buy. Take a look at this. We get Vanderbilt Georgia. We get Arkansas, Texas saying him. Oh, I know, I know what people are going to say, oh, Vanderbilt Georgia, pretty compelling game considering the five star quarterback that Georgia had committed for forever flipped to hometown Nashville. And then we have Tennessee Auburn. That's great. That wouldn't Tennessee Auburn wouldn't exist in the old SEC South Carolina Kentucky. Missouri Alabama or excuse me, Missouri, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi state.
This is awesome. We're the only team that's playing a non P4. We can go to the next week, the next week. Oh, oh, oh, oh. And let's go on and on. You tell me what week do we have outside of week 12, the week before rivalry week, which kind of sucks, but does it really not really? The nine game SEC schedule has been a major win. Well, it's going to be harder for us to get teams in a playoffs. That I don't care. I don't care. I really don't. I'm getting better, better games every week.
The next week, I'm going to be playing in the next five to 10 minutes. I'm going to answer as many questions as we possibly can for you, Super Chat. We will keep this party going. We're going to have to be on the next five to 10 minutes. I'm going to answer as many questions as we possibly can for you. That we will keep this party going. Man, Shane Beamer is going through it, man. Shane Beamer is going through it. Let's go to Ben.
Listen to you when I was like 13. Randomly found you again at 21, the most underrated LSU YouTuber. I appreciate that, man. Thank you, Ben. Thank you for the Super Chat. Is WX, is that mean you're a weather guy? Is that what that means? Looks like you're in a serious storm here getting your al Roker on. The problem was, was that even streaming when you were 13, eight years ago? This channel was not started eight years ago, but I was doing like other random YouTube stuff from time to time. I also wanted to address this.
So one of you did reach out privately and watch as a channel about weight loss because I've lost some weight. I'm not where I want to be, but I've had to change a lot of my clothes. This is actually going to go to a new belt. Thanks, man. I appreciate it. I'm still deciding on if I'm going to make the trip up to Favill, have a few nieces and nephews that live there. And I've not met some of them. Which is crazy. But just really quickly, like at the end of these streams, all I share, like just something. It's simple. Put in burn more calories than you can do. If that's just basically it. Exercise isn't as important as you're dying. I know you hear that all the time.
But if you are serious. Hit me up and I'll get you a free consultation with my coach. Do you have a coach? I'm not Samuel. Samuel's not able to work as much or watch it since much anymore because he is bodybuilding. He's like a competitive bodybuilder. So I think he knows what he's talking about.
Do I have trouble with Charlie Horses or Cranps? I'm not really. It's funny because when I started PhL and I was still doing some training, I would train a lot harder, run four miles, five miles, seven miles, 13.1 miles from time to time, when my diet sucked. And the scariest thing is my sleep schedule is so bad. I haven't gone to bed till 4 in the morning. Just watch a tape. Honestly, a lot of do sterile tape.
Not for research purposes or anything, just because I like watching them play. But then the NFL channel is just consumed so much of my other. I can use to do this free time. Now my free time is building the NFL channel. So I train less and I'm actually losing more weight just because my diet is so, so, so much better. And yeah, oh, a lot to my wife and my mom and my coach. Honestly. And you don't need, what are they called, a retreat or peptides or anything?
You don't need that. I don't think you do. But for some people, it works. Jeremy, you been on it? Yeah, so yeah, it's shortened for reddit. And you love it? Okay, good, man. Is the youngest week's brother still on the roster yet? He played. He played. I looked at the PFF grades and they said he didn't, said he didn't play well. I don't, I'd have to go back and look at those reds, but it's such a small sample.
Oh, man. I'll tell you this really quickly. You guys know secretly. I love my Pelicans. NBA media days are happening. Everybody's worried about LeBron and a helicopter. I'm just worried about a healthy Zion Williamson. It's all I want. We have, according to Madeline Adams, we only have two. Nationally televised games of Pelicans.
Okay. We got to earn. All right. You guys are always saved a little. Some extra at the end. I kind of like the Wednesday shows being a more general college football vibe. I might make that permanent. We got poplar bluff, Missouri in the hissy. So in the stream, I wanted to first tell you about my friends over at Ramble. R-A-M-B-L-E. Greer and her team are doing great things.
Download the app today. You can scan the QR code, but I need you to use the link in the description. Ramble. It's a free chat room where there's actual LSU icons in there. A Thorpe winner and Morris Claverins in there. Ruben Randles in there. Friend of the show, former PHO guest. Michael Brockers is in there. Awesome sauce. All right. These are the NFL scores. I don't want to talk in NFL here, even though I love the National Football League. Let's go to the SEC. Let's first take a look at the ranked games. Do any of y'all feel strongly about any of these ranked games? I'm hoping Iowa gives Ohio State a battle. Ohio State with two losses would make the Big Ten very compelling this year. Very compelling.
Georgia, we've had some movement there. We'll get to that when we go to the SEC tab. The rest of college football. Like with these ranked teams, you rarely do see the rest of college football playing anything compelling. And it could just be that I'm such an SEC focused guy. But that's not necessarily by me hating the Big Ten. It's just there's only so much time in a day. But how many of these games do you find to be appetizing? Penn State at Northwestern with the way Northwestern look versus Indiana. That's very interesting with Penn State coming off a loss. I'll give you that Friday night stand alone game. That's cool. Michigan at Minnesota. Michigan five and a half point favorites. Okay. I can get down with that.
But Michigan State was constant socks. Maryland. They got beat 70 to three or whatever it was. They should never be 15 and a half point dogs versus present day Nebraska. Washington at USC. That is compelling. Nine and a half points. Indiana Rutgers. Come on. Illinois Purdue. Come on. Then you have Ohio State and Iowa. All right. I'll give you that. So this week wasn't as bad. But the big 12. Hmm. I like college football. So these matchups are appetizing. Iowa State hosting West Virginia. Give me that all day. But it's just not. Just not doing anything for me. Many go to the SEC. I mean, are we getting ourselves these games are way more interesting. Alabama Mississippi State. Two fantastic quarterbacks.
Missouri, Florida. Okay. Give me that all day. Tennessee Auburn. South Carolina, Kentucky, Texas, and Arkansas. So I'd say it's pretty even compared to the other conference. It's just me and some of these big 10 weeks have just been atrocious. Uh. Last week we hit all of our plays. We gave you Arkansas covering versus tall. So that cleared easily. We gave you the under an Auburn Vanderbilt that cleared easily. We actually liked to take say them covering versus LSU. We were wrong about that. But that one one of my big plays. You know, for this week. Is this a good by low spot on South Carolina? I think most people would say. South Carolina would have been. Underdogs, but at home versus Kentucky, you got a swallow two and a half.
Florida five and a half point favorites versus Missouri. Alabama six and a half point favorites versus Mississippi State. Um. Alabama Mississippi State always seems compelling, but Alabama always blows them out. Arkansas, I am. I just don't feel great about this late. I liked Georgia at 24 and a half. Now it's up to 25 and a half. That's not a key number or anything, but. It just reminds you how many points that actually is. I do like Tennessee in this spot and. I'm also in that Tennessee game. The downside is these all fits is for Auburn Tennessee. Haven't looked good. But since both of these teams play so fast. That 54 and a half total really isn't. Too high with two teams coming off a tough offensive performances.
Do I think Harlem Bayer will have a breakout performance because McNeese. Yeah, I believe so. He'll score. We'll see a lot of singleton are mostly keys with the win out mostly keys. I still if I were to lean. One way. Hmm. I would probably in that game. Lean towards the under 16 and a half big, big, big number. Big number. But Mississippi state has been on such a sun run offensively. And this is by far the best defense that they have faced. With true edge rushing potential. Whereas Alabama. Man, their office has been putting up points. So I think most people view this as.
What USC and Oregon was last week, just an all out shootout. But. I do think this game could be. Clunky late or early in. It's sort of get into a track meet in the second half with. Alabama winning like 28 to 24. But 16 and a half with a point bread at six. Six and a half means that they. I don't know. All right, oh, not a new for me. I've had. I'm actually not feeling the best. Hopefully I wouldn't be able to put that off on you. Big thanks to all our super chatter. Guy bin. New member. Monopol. It's forecasted to be heavy rain.
We'll talk to you soon. It is power hour LSU. Bunk tonight. We are doing. Pastrami sandwiches. Let's go. Let's go.
