That's a big NBA fan is a topic of discussion this week as LSU plays with Mignice. And yes, indeed, Lane Kiffin should seriously consider doing some of that very thing. Wrestling some players versus Mignice, SnapCounts are getting up there. And it's important to point out, and you could look at it from two different ways, by the way, you could look at it from someone like TJ Dottory. So let's just say knock on wood, TJ Dottory is able to get this week off. This is a guy who played 950 snaps last season for Ole Miss 950. It is so hard to play over 900 snaps. I don't think a really good player in Princewell,

3:55you made me Ellen, has had 900 career snaps before this season began. And there is the other end of the spectrum with someone like Princewell, who last year, the most snaps he played in a game was 486. And that was with Ole Miss last year. So his SnapCounts are getting up there. Obviously, we need to keep him fresh for the rest of the year. So you could get into one of those arguments as far as who should actually get some night off type of action here. And I actually do have a list of players that we could go out there and win versus Munees while at the same time giving some key guys some rest. Now, here's the thing. Well, Lane and Clark actually get the nod. That's what everybody wants to know. And Lane Kiffin was asked that question directly. He said he didn't know. But I do think Lane is going to be a big part of the game plan.

4:55And obviously, Sam Levit is dealing with the hamstrings. So for me, I do think if Sam is healthy, you probably should start him. Even though I've gone back and forth on this as far as Lane and Clark and just in general, I like starting back up quarterbacks in a non P4 game because you at least see what you have. And he actually gets the starters treatment. And quarterbacks are probably better. I talk about this than I am. And there's different schools of thought regarding this. But you know, as the week goes on in most practices, your backup quarterback does get reps with the ones. It varies from team to team. Just so if he were to be inserted into the game early, he would be ready to go. But I do believe it's different. If you go into the week saying, Hey, Lane didn't is our guy for this week.

5:58We're going to give Sam some rest. And he is going to get landed all these first team reps and practice. Then let's just say it's out there that Lane didn't going to start. The other team is going to be preparing for Lane and Clark. And even though both him and Sam are similar in that they are play extenders. They love to run. You know, the throws can get a little wild, but the arm strength in particular for landed is certainly there. But here's the thing. They're still different. And I think with landed in the big thing that you bring into the equation is more of your design run game. And look, we've done design runs with Sam in particular on the red zone. But I do think with land in he could be a little bit more downhill. As far as zone read stuff is concerned, the same thing with Hassan. The good thing is of course LSU S3 quarterbacks who can all run. So I do think things are different with land in and Sam.

6:59And they're not quite a one to one switch. But you know, it's a fan of land in as someone that's gotten to know him a little bit. I would like to see land and get a good bit of playing time. I'm rooting for I'm being straight up with the I'm rooting for him. I'm rooting for everybody on the steam. Okay. Then we get into obviously the plan to replace with weeks. And I have been you know going back at fourth on how to talk about this because it is such an emotional piece. You've already lost your you know, your two number sevens for the foreseeable future. Hopefully magically the reporters who actually saw trade as green face to face. They're like, oh man, he looks really good. He's walking around here on the sign line. But obviously wouldn't rush him back in a game versus me. So it's one of those things where with wit, it does seem a pretty one to one switch with Devon keys coming in. And honestly. That's what I would do. That's honestly what I wouldn't change a whole lot defensively, even though the drop off from weeks to keys is.

8:08I wouldn't quite call it drastic because if you go and say it's drastic, it comes off as too negative as far as Devon keys is concerned. But it is a pretty pretty nice side drop off to where wit and the level he was playing at. It's a big deal and then you have the leadership and how close he is to you know Baker and Lane for different reasons, but it's still a very close relationship. What's the decision to come back to LSU had a lot to do with Blake Baker. So it's one of those things that it's tough for Blake having to go through this because I'm sure Blake who had head coaching opportunities. It was also one of those guys that was like man, I could come back and get the coach with weeks. One of my favorite players I've ever coached. So it's definitely one of those things where you feel for Blake and you feel obviously for wit. But if I were Blake, I wouldn't switch to too, too much up versus miss and just to see what you have with the Devon keys, CJ daughtery pairing.

9:11And as Lane pointed out, the fourth and one stop at Devon keys was truly impressive. Now we say hi to all of the comments we said to Tony, well, get off. Tyrant says no, we shouldn't start landing Clark over 11 if he's healthy. He had one game chemistry with the receivers. I think he needs to continue if he's healthy. So Tyrant says look, with that trade S green Sam needs more reps with the receivers that we still do have. Okay. Will the expansion to a 2014 playoff be a good or a bad thing for college football? We've ever had on an LSU roster Now it's way worse with no Dishon spears no trade-edge green no borderline starting anymore We will not have a single starter on offense from the state of Louisiana And there's really not a whole lot even on the two deep and it's even crazier when you look at wide receiver Which has been a Louisiana position We had that stat for the longest Before C.J. Daniels who was a transfer and obviously most these guys here at transfers We didn't have an out-of-state wide receiver catch 40 passes in a season Since Terrence to lever in 2010 so that was what 13 14 years without a wide receiver

13:21Outside of the state Louisiana catching 40 passes Which you know is just someone high threshold design and then crazy But that is that is truly insane that is truly insane and Also when you look at that and you look at the two deep and you do a full roster analysis Western Davis is the only non-transfer that's really going To play a whole heck of a lot Moving forward offensively now obviously It's a little bit different with Zach Grayce getting more run here, but he's still a transfer I don't know why I said Zach Grayce, but Harlem Bayery of course we would like to see more out of him. 15:22But y'all they they've been beyond good they they this has been Ridiculous in a new system new coaches new team they this is the best they have ever played So Part of it is at the state of Louisiana's not Had as strong of a year producing players in that 2021-2022-2023-2024 classes right of course Got a wool Campbell mixed in there in Henry Jones and here's a few other really really really good players there And then obviously a lot of it is development and all of that So lane could not have come at a better time because could you imagine where a roster would be if we didn't have the coaching that we have right now And yeah, I've been very vocal about you know the Ole Miss game and I don't think we didn't prepare a whole heck of a lot for it. That's the opposite it just it wasn't a well coach game But the other three games have been really good the other three games from a coaching perspective have been beyond good if you ask me

16:27So You know lane is really saving us In terms of him Billy and the staff and this isn't the closest you just you guys have eyes for yourself Because what was the less miles here? Was the less miles era all about elite coaching no it was Louisiana having a ridiculous amount of talent and us building a true fence around it and that talent truly carrying us um to many of victories from three stars all the way up to five stars and And You know, I still think we had that advantage no doubt about it But it's it's tougher with the portal and IL all of that It's it's a completely different ballgame So when you go into tiger stadium on saturday and then it's a mcmease game This is going to feel very different when you actually look at who is actually on the field It's crazy It's crazy

21:38Over the first four weeks of the season. It's advanced. We haven't seen out of guys over a year span If it's a movement in their game plan So And look at numbers last year, but The good thing about this season is it's not feast or famine It's been great. It's been hard, but every single game is kind of they've lived up to where they need to be Playing the right game plan. I'm excited. I'm more bullish on them I'm not there's a couple teams in the SEC that people are gonna give me crap about. I'm not worried about Like I'm not worried about Bama. I'm not worried about Texas. I'm not worried about Tennessee I think I think Texas is overrated 100 percent Wow I said this to boot up. I said to everybody. I think Texas is overrated I don't know. I don't know about that. You can't go into people say how strong how tough kneeling is I'm sorry. You can't go into kneeling and look that bad

22:40Collins Simmons won them the game Yeah, but here's here's a problem with that matchup is There are other defensive end is really good too and Lance Jackson and It's gonna be a pick your poisons. So we are That's gonna be a tough matchup. I'm I I fear Texas because of that But I don't fear arch on the road where he's not been not been great Before I let you go. I know you gotta drive around you're going through the country. 28:51but Yeah, I at this point I Don't think LSU can be Bay of mind Texas and back-to-back leaks simply because they are really good teams off the edge and Now the if you have trade-as greenback that changes a lot because trade-as Changes the math so much for what makes Texas and Alabama good defensively and that's at the edges So Alabama's got Pierre they also got number one that year five guy Uh, who's playing really well. 29:54versus Tennessee is one of the greatest I have ever seen in a college football game And the thing you know this is Tennessee They had David Sanders a five star off its attack um So yeah, I mean, there's just no other way around it That's gonna be a tough tough tough two weeks and then on top of that going to uh, you know j mines point here He's worried about Mississippi state or she Uh, it's worried about Mississippi state and uh look As much as I like uh, Mississippi state That's actually a game. I feel pretty good about from an LSU perspective Um, even though that's our only 11am kick at home But uh, but yeah, I know you're one of my favorite baseball mines Paul But Steve's with you Texas is overrated

30:57Off its line plays and I've been very good I Would if if it's available, but I will take a look at a look ahead line and just go on ahead and take the under on that game Think about it. That's a week after we play Alabama It's gonna be crazy. Gonna be absolutely insane I know we got sidetracked there, but that was awesome uh bad but at the same time good. I mean you could do a gazillion different out of state players but what's important to note is The LSU advantage is the state of Louisiana right that's Always been our advantage. It's not been money. It's not been any one particular coach Nick Sabin Recognize well, I should say nick and Terry Sabin recognize that Players are built different here build a fort around it stockpile the talent But yeah, I mean it is something of note and I do think it'll regress back towards Us being dominant with our in-state guys, but take the king Thanos Stewart Could you imagine him and do steriles in the middle

33:02Pack jams says Alabama and Georgia are the two best teams in the SEC Yeah, you know, I I think it's hard to push back against Georgia It and because it goes against what I've said with LSU It's hard to blow teams out. It it's really hard to just beat the breaks off of teams Don't get too carried away with what I'm about to say okay However, I Couldn't make a case that Clemson and an M are better teams than both Arkansas and Oklahoma Who Georgia has beaten pretty badly already All right, so you know R2 blowout wins I would say are more impressive than Georgia's two blowout wins even though One of those was on the road In-favorite obviously both of our blowout wins have been in the friendly confines of Tiger Stadium So we'll see how Georgia progresses when they actually place some better competition

34:07And they will not get that this weekend versus Vanderbilt Who did not look good on the road versus Auburn this past weekend 24 and a hook 24 and that that stinking hook Just crazy King M. 35:14Doing that when you play Weaker non p14s But that was the only thing I tweeted out and I think that could have been taken as well Lane is for sure going to do this and that's that's not the case at all It's not for sure by any stretch of the imagination But There's two things at play here that really support this all right, so the first thing is LSU is a very banged up team and you want to Give the players rest and you can have These three weeks which instead of it being eight consecutive weeks of snaps for all your key guys You only have to deal with three weeks by and then a four-week close to the end of the regular season It sets up really nicely and that also You know these most of these players have only played in the last two seasons as primary players That gives them the double buy that they're accustomed to

36:15Because remember this is the first year without the double buying the SEC since 2022 Um, so I think that ski arts it's 2023 but points to remains the same um And then the second thing it does is these non p14s just aren't as good as they once were And a lot of you know why you transfer up That's it All right, that's the main reason okay Now we do have to get to a break coming up next two big large-scale college football things that are transpiring right now All right, I do want to address this pack jams is keel and russell Right now is a better quarterback than sam blabid I don't necessarily think that's a hot take. I don't know if I agree with that Totally however They did say the keel and russell film versus south Carolina

37:18Was fantastic I haven't gotten a chance to look at it. I'll be honest that that's from one game. I haven't been able to watch outside of South Carolina Having a player they played two million dollars and deciding to you know make it all about him Uh that story. I saw him punching dies Um Which feels like a bullet dodge for us Uh, so there you go um But I'm not been able to watch keel and russell on the the south Carolina tape the Kentucky tape was kind of But yeah, I'm excited to watch it a little bit later pack jams says keel and russell is better than sam blabid then I got to check it out right um But russell obviously a year or two guy i think most Would take him now because you Have the upside of your three with with keel and but one thing I did see I did see a cut up of Ryan Coleman
