You know how long you've been doing this wrestling wrestling game for and You know, I just want to get behind behind you know your whole history was this whole wrestling thing man So first and foremost you're originally from

2:03Stoten What stoten mask. Oh wait a minute. That's that wasn't in my bingo card Yep man stoten mask and then I was there for about 15 years and then went to Brock Vegas City of Champions. Yeah, yeah, Cape Verde and great Cape that's it man couple of bad man passable Dominican, but So you know, let me not get away anytime man. So first of all what got you so involved with wrestling? 88 I was about three and and A friend of my Mom and dad's grabbed the wrestling take gave it to my brother my brother came through put it on first I saw the action figures in the store. So once I seen that I was kind of already hooked and Then when I seen that tape I said wait a minute these figures are real These are real people and then I was hooked man And I don't know how to speak English or nothing yet. So wrestling's universal language. So as soon as I got involved It was over man three years old till now

3:04so With with with the whole thing like you know There's a routine with wrestling. So when you started off with it Saturday night I said was a Saturday like what's the first video that you saw that got you hooked wrestle minion 4 Hogan versus it was hold in Andre and the tournament But I didn't get a chance to see the good Hogan and Andre match up and wrestling in three. I was a year late, but I saw four Well, I was four that was that was the rematch and he beat them again. Nope. They are both world. They both lost That's because three is the one. That's the big one. That's the one. That's the big one. Okay, so I have four is a blank to me So yeah four or five is a blank to me like it's three and six that just four that's become never Wait five was the one with macho. You got it. Okay, okay So four for whatever reason it's just a blank and maybe risen to good good job promoting that one but Five six and three that's the one and seven that's the one that just the whole is near to me. Okay, so

4:05Which one called it so you you you ended up watching that and that was just a thing that you just kept watching it and you just got Her that was good. Been me to it like the way I would hip hop you got it. Yeah, man It just took me out and it brought me out of reality. I enjoyed it kept quiet and mom started realizing man He doesn't really move once this is on besides dancing around ripping off the trash bag Pretending it's the whole shirt. Yeah, and other than that she was just like all right He ain't hurt nobody watch it and then I would just try my best to see as much as I can so That this a that's a certain craft behind this and because I do want to ask you this with this with this craft that you do There's a commitment this craft and there's a lot of Bodily injuries that comes around with this thing You knew the sacrifices that you was gonna get into this when you when you got to this thing. Yeah, I learned it Probably around that time that's that 716 17 age. They came out with a show called tough enough. Oh

5:12Remember that yeah, was that on USA or MTV MTV? Okay, so when they eventually went to USA But MTV and then when I seen that and I seen how it all works. I was like Oh, this is an art like you got a you're doing it, but it's still teamwork, but man So you have to hit each other like this is a jet Okay, it takes a special person to do this man like you know especially when your friends with somebody and you're gonna get hit Yeah, and you got to hit each other like we're hitting like it's just it's a art to it But it takes a special human being man to do what we do And interesting love you never took wrestling in high school. No, why never like the amateur man was interesting Not into the whole Greco Roman. I looked at it when I heard wrestling and then I seen I'm like they ain't no steal cage Where my capes at where's the where's the gear where's the ring? Yeah, sounds like nah. I'm good. This ain't for me so You we we we were talking behind the scenes or when we were setting up we were talking behind the scenes you've been doing this since 22 years

6:17Yes, so I got to ask you the first time you decided to step into the ring and go You know show your talent to the audience. What was that experience like I was surreal man It was cool to know I was on the other side now, you know I was the one in the ring coming out. I had all my friends families strangers um my first one it was in Stoughton and my first match was 2006 um and 2004 I did like a battle royal my that's usually your first match ever so everybody will always put you in a battle royal first Because you get lost in the shuffle so you can't really mess up and it gives you that feel you learn That was in Florida. Yeah, uh, my trainer and then Yeah, man, I just did it in 2006 and seeing my mom out there Seeing my friends my cousins and it was a cool feeling man. It was like all right. You know, this is exactly what I thought it was I was born for this so let's do it now How many Organizations you've been evolving with this with with with this talent of yours? Several I probably would say oh maybe eight nine of them

7:20Um remember the first one. Oh, yeah, I started W. Yeah um So when when you um did this was just just a nu England thing or you able to travel to state to state? Uh, no, just definitely new England. I never wanted to Travel like that because I just I knew it wasn't for me the traveling wasn't for me. I wanted to be the local guy and the beginning I was down to go do the whole thing till I um, I teach you taught me a lot About how the rest of the world is Then obviously all the documentaries you see all the stuff. I just knew like there's no way I'm gonna mesh with that world Especially at that young age when I was more fearless and I even at that age knew like this isn't for me But locally I want to be the guy, but globally no way I could ever do what these guys do like that night in night out Traveling miles and miles and on planes and hotels living out of a suitcase. It's no joke Okay, I'm gonna say this because I saw the event you the last year and

8:21tremendous. I love every minute of it. Thank you. And the way you got on mass back is priceless Oh, I'm like hit him again. Yeah, man. Got me angry because he didn't hit me hard enough. I'm like I'm gonna show you how this is done So uh you prefer Um, because you know what I was gonna never I never really asked it So we're gonna go a bit into many here you're your um your character um where you more per like the good guy or the or the villain Uh, I prefer being the villain because I don't get to be the villain in real life So I prefer doing that you know you can't insult people the way that showtime insults people Yeah, cuz then showtime's gonna get punched in the face in real life So you can't do that um, so I like to do that lately like the last few years I like being a tweener which means I'm gonna let you pick yeah, all right Like I'm gonna be me, but I'm gonna let you choose whether you like me or not And then what I know this man is 80% of the time they like me. So I'm doing something right You know, I got the gift of gab. I learned I used to be very shy believe it or not

9:22And now this this wrestling thing made me open up more maybe express myself more and studying it and watching the great To do it that I looked up to and I was like all right. I gotta take a piece of everybody. Yeah Um The crowd reactions um are there like intense the way I see him on TV Like do the point they want to fight you Oh, yeah, you've been do you have any stories you want to share with the audience that's something to say because um Jeremy who I'm trying to have on the show he told me something crazy that happened him in canola. Yeah I've heard that one. Yeah, yeah, and when he gets a show he has some of that stories to the audience Because I heard that story I'm like you're joking this thing out. He like no, this really happened to me And I'm like so you have like any insane stories that happen to you Like an audience member that was like I'm going to you know Do something I supposed to and he had to like probably slam him up. I'm up a little bit I mean they definitely get intense intense like these guys They lose themselves. All right, they forget like you know how it is when we go to movies We start yelling at the screen. Yes. They can't hear us

10:23But we're so invested and so angry. Why are you going in there get out of there? Oh, he's they got to leave this dude Oh, you got to leave her she's too much. So these people start doing the same thing I've gotten bottles thrown at me plastic plastic bottles. Thank God bottles of water dumped on me bottles of water Speaking of Jerry. We were in Maine doing a show and all of a sudden these guys wanted to really test his Test his limit. Mm-hmm. He had to check all of them As soon as he got angry and checked them and said we go outside. We'll take care. Whatever they just stayed quiet So they get really invested man and they heckle you you think comedians get heckled man It's even worse for us the names that they call things that they throw at us. I've been spat at like you know They spit right at me. Yeah, but it happens. 15:34With the local resident things. Yes, first and foremost congratulations for making it alive. Thank you Cuz you've done been through it. Yeah, it's hard man. I'm very blessed. I never got a serious injury I've done some crazy things man cage matches ladder matches Tax yeah, some tax that was horrible Um But yeah, man, I've just been very blessed. I never really got crazy hurt I've had rotator cuff injury. I've had my ACL But that's it nothing like oh my god. I can never move again God because there's a lot of people there who do this and break their neck and goffa bid man and get paralyzed so Or even perform stunts and you lose your life. So I'm very lucky, man. Very very lucky Yeah, so what do we have going on with this um The dreams and nightmares after you said 23 years you've been in the game 22 years So I decided in June to make this my final run um to clear it up Know my my next one is not my last one. I don't know yet when the last one is I do know For a fact though when my son goes he's a freshman now in high school

16:38When he becomes a senior and it's time for graduation. I don't care what I'm doing I'm done Before he's out of high school The time he puts that cap and gown on I will not step back on the ring again That's as far as I'll go but it could end way before that you know I got about I would say maybe 25 matches left I usually go once a month maybe twice a month so That's the plan right now And what do you what are you going to miss from all this? Oh, man, just entertaining just going out there hanging out with my friends in the back and You know traveling putting on the gear listening to music hearing them chant my name that part. I'm gonna miss the most man. That's gonna It's gonna be hard Um any any um, you know Because even me in the tape back the cool thing about it I get like a little cool recognition to local place If like hey, you're the Cuban comes the radio show. Yeah, do you ever got that kind of recognition when you walk around very rare

17:42but sometimes sometimes I do um It was cool like seeing TV the other day on a W.O.s watching wrestling on TV And I saw one of my shirts in the crowd. So I was that that was pretty cool They were in springfield and I'm like all right cool man like there I am there's my shirt So that was cool, but No, not really man. I don't it depends on the area I guess, but it's very very rare I'm this big. I'm not a big guy. I'm a big guy to my friends my family Some of the local people around like you know that are go to these wrestling shows like I've been the wrestling shows for other places And I've been recognized like there because they're wrestling fans their local wrestling fans, but that's it um What is what is what is one of the most gratification you got from all this and what are the lessons that we talked to you while Doing this this this career thing this the lesson I learned is respect everybody And if you respect everybody, you'll get far in life Definitely that just treat everybody equal man doesn't matter who you are janitor caterer

18:44cleaner set up guy music guy announcer refer doesn't matter who you are man You you treat everybody right because you don't know Who anyone's gonna be you don't know If that person's ever gonna be your boss one day or if that person's gonna be president who knows you don't know So you should always greet everybody respectfully man um That's one thing I took I learned from that um I mean other than that that's pretty much it everything else is just just just another day It's just a day really just hanging out enjoying putting on a show. It's like nothing more different than what a musician does back what it the uh My yeah, what's nice going on? He's got a lot of stuff. Oh Yeah That came out wrong Whoa Um, I do radio and you know, there's a lot of things that I gotta know it with but I have to follow protocol because you know I have to deal with people and I work with bosses, you know, FCC Yeah, the cool case that don't want you want you to have fun. Yeah What are the things that you like don't not enjoy for those business that you have to deal with

19:49The hating I don't like the haters man. Yeah, I don't know why we all just can't work together and get on About a month of the rest of the Really? Brutal man, it is so brutal like I don't understand. I just don't get it. I don't I don't get a lot of it at least on my face I've had little individuals do it. I don't even give them my energy anymore. I'm done You know, it's like the best thing I think Social media ever came out with was that block button That's my favorite now you you don't have to worry about seeing me again But why people waste their energy and it bothers them so bad what you're doing just doesn't make sense because I'm not bothering you So I don't know why you're coming at me any type of way Hey, this yeah, can't live without them. I saw Promotions are a big event there that they usually do for the air. It's In October so it's Halloween themed. It's called out Halloween chaos too I was like you said you were there last year for the first. Oh, I had one of that one. So yeah, so I was And it was pretty cool. You had the little thing going on with the movie with the little meet and greet Yeah, and the pictures um, but yeah, we're gonna I was the main last year and Grace of God. I'm the main event again and Yeah, man, we're gonna go to town. We're gonna do it in beautiful Lynn City of sin City of sin. Yeah, man. Do our thing and I'm just blessed man to be able to do this, you know So We were talking behind the scenes and there was something special going on with this event because you are going against somebody

22:59And there was a story behind this can you please tell my audience story behind this? So yeah, man So I'm going against a great competitor a great guy So I call my kid because I always look at him as a kid So I was I'm guilty of doing backyard wrestling Everybody did it Um, and I delivered room wrestling. So I did both I did it in the house when it was raining out at when outside when it was nice out So I gotta ask before continuing with you that maniac jumping from the roof to or yeah How extreme were you were like ECW kind of extreme. Yeah, I did all the dummy. So knocking in boys So with like the the the ladder and stuff like that We even did an inferno match. I grabbed that The his brain with the lighter Yeah, it was We were dumb man. We were very dumb, but oh man funny so dangerous and stupid. I love it. Yeah, but yeah, man. So um, I I think I was doing the backyard wrestling stuff and Then we came to the point we started renting out buildings to even doing we got a little older and

24:01We were doing it and I was the champion at the time. Yeah, so of course all my wrestling buddies are trying to troll me and And prank me we went to a real show on an indie show and I ran off mass and All of a sudden this little kid comes up to me because my boys went over and said hey, that's our champ I want you to take this piece of paper and go ask him to sign an autograph for you So he was just bugging me all night. I'm my man. I can't stand kids as it is and this these I look over to my boys laughing in the corner. I said, oh, oh, I see what we doing here Yeah, I'll put this kid to it But the kid was cool His mother was there. He was nine years old. Mm-hmm. And um, so We told him what we do. We do this little backyard wrestling thing We ran out of building we get together. We bug out. We film it. We have fun And he was like, oh, I would like to come by and watch and just hang out with you guys hanging out turned out to him getting involved mom was cool with it. Her mom's like my mom And I've seen him a lot of him and me man when I was his age. I'm like, man I would have loved to done this when I was with his age. Yeah, so

25:03Um, then we went and started um one of my friends opened up his own wrestling school After I went to wrestling schools and I started joining his and the kids started joining at this time He's probably about 12 13 So he was training He didn't really He didn't think it was for him yet, but I knew he was gonna end up doing it. Yeah, because he uh took his first bump He had his head. He didn't you could just tell it's he's too young. It wasn't for him yet So he started referring Then somebody told him like, you know, you need to do this. You need to come here and train and do this for real So he kept going with it. I stopped I've had enough. I wanted to go out and Party have phone my friends and not focus on that Um, then met my wife. I think you know her I think you do I'm not sure. I'm kind of sort of familiar. So Puerto Rican. Yeah, yeah All right, you know, Puerto Rican. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, so that um yeah, we went and I met her Life stopped as she used to hear this kid calling me all the time about trying to get back trying to get back She's like who is that? I'm like, uh, some little kid. He's doing wrestling. He wants me to go, but I'm done

26:07I'm not doing anymore So after that he started blowing up. No, I start seeing him everywhere and I'm like good for him He made it. He did it and I say, you know what? You know, God rest his soul. I lost my best friend Passed away and when I when he passed away, I was like all right, life is short man Let me just do this wrestling thing one more time I'm gonna try this one more time and I said I'm not gonna do it though unless my first matchback is with him and with no hesitation He agreed Uh, by the way his name is Anthony Green So yeah, he agreed we went along and did this was a great night and I knew I still had it We put on a great show And that was the last time I worked him was 2015 a march. Yeah, so it comes full circle You know, he's already been signed a WWE He's already been working for a w. He's internationally known now working on Japan He's put his name out there. He's the guy now. So I'm really proud of him The number one thing I'm actually proud of him the most of is he's never forgot where he came from

27:07Never never ignores me always talks to me talks all the boys from back in the day treats everybody with the most respect He's gonna get signed again, and I know it and that's why before he gets to that point I got to work on one more time So this will be our second and last time will ever work anybody I work with moving forward now On this tour. This will be the last time. It's either the first and last or the second or third and last But this is it every match you see with me moving forward. You'll never see it again So that's why these shows are important to go to whatever anybody can go And I'm glad to be a part of that journey because yeah, let me tell you uh, you know, it's funny because when we when we first met the one thing that like the way Um You get I get happy When you know a lot about music.
