And here's what you need to know. Bryce Upper at an RBI single for the Phillies in the top of the first in game two of there in a wildcard matchup with the Braves. However, Atlanta answered in the bottom half. Matt Olson and RBI single that scored a Ronald Okunya Jr. They're playing in the top of the third Phillies and Braves tied up at one. Atlanta is up 1-0 in the best of three series. White socks and Astros coming up at five o'clock Eastern times. Chicago's up 1-0 in that series. Red socks and Yankees later on tonight followed by the Cubs in Padres. Commanders quarterback Jaden Daniels was limited in practice today. It hasn't been ruled out of their game and London against the Colts. Head coach Dan Gwynn wouldn't rule out the possibility of Daniel starting. But they want to see how he deals with this injured elbow in practice first. No practice today for Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. But he did speak with reporters as they prepare for the Titans. Vikings, Water Seey were just in Jefferson's et al practice today because of an ankle injury suffered in week three. Texans, White receiver, Nico Collins back practicing today. He's missed the last two games with a strained hammy. And now IHARDS radio presents the premiere after the sports show in the state of Florida.

Only true sports talk radio show where we focus on the teams and the topics imported to you. The sports fan in Florida. We are game on with Bianchi and Krabitz. I am Bianchi. Mike Bianchi. The Bulldog on the sports columnist of the Orlando Sentinel. This man right right over here is Krabitz. Brandon Krabitz, the hardest working man in sports media who is back from getting snipped yesterday. How's the Nether region doing? You know, not all that bad considering everything that it has gone through in the last 24 hours. So I'm doing good.

Thailand all up. But I was told by the doc to take it easy today. I've done that. Just stayed on the computer, the computer chair and the couch with ice packs in between. But yeah, all is good. Definitely a unique experience. No frozen piece. I didn't do peace. I had I had ice packs. I found that the the peas were I didn't want to waste my peace. I like my I like my frozen vegetable. The prodigy of production prime time, Jaden Grimes. He's the executive producer. The man who puts the go into the show and we have a show for you today in Orlando, Jacksonville, Taylor, Hasse all points in between on the YouTube machine and the I heart radio app. We want to hear from you throughout the course of the show as always. Two ways to do that. Hit us up on the mills air text line. That's 50857. And if you dare step into the rage cave. We have a lot to talk about today.

We have basketball. We have baseball. We have you know hockey even started last night. Craveston, do you even realize hockey season has begun? I did realize that I heard it mentioned somewhere as I was consuming media yesterday. And then last night, how about this? I'm flipping around. I see that the panthers game was on. So I was like, let me just see what's going on. They were in overtime. Panthers knocking a game. Winning goal. I watched all of three seconds of hockey. And it was the most exciting thing to happen last night. There you go. All right. Let's get to some highlights in headlines. The Orlando Magic have begun training camp under new coach Sean Swaney who was already getting five star reviews from his new team to a man. And it seems grab the players are raving about the energy, the intensity and the organization.

In fact, listen to Palo Bancaro during media day before practice even started. I think our organization will be better in terms of our team and just how we go out there and play every night. I think you know guys will be setting their roles. I think we'll be you know a lot more intense out there on both sides of the ball. And you know a lot more together as well. So like you said, it's the same team, but I think things will be different. True or false grass. Palo is ripping former coach Jamal Mosley as much as he is praising new coach Sean Swaney. It's true. That's true. It's true. It just is. I mean, there's no other way to read into that that we're going to be more intentional. We're going to know our roles. I mean, you wouldn't say that if you already knew what your role was before. So this is. And look, the reports last year were that there was nobody within the organization that was more maybe not at ease with the Jamal Mosley relationship.

Then Palo Bancaro. I don't know how true that is, but that's what was out there. And it certainly seems like based on that response. Like that, you know, it seems more true than false. Let's just say that. I'm starting to think. I'm starting to think that even if they to beat in the pistons in that series last year, Jamal Mosley might have still been fired. Again, yeah, we've seen we're the we've seen coaches get fired after making it to the Eastern Conference finals. So it's not like it's not like in college football or the NFL, you make it to a certain point in your guaranteed to keep your job in the NBA. Unless you win a championship and even that, that'll only buy you another year in the NBA. So you might be right. Just that's Frank Vogel about that with the Lakers Las Vegas. Asus center, Asia Wilson received a technical foul after confronting a fan at the Indiana fevers game bridge fieldhouse last night during a 99 to 89 loss to the fever in game two of their first round playoff series.

The incident happened with just over four minutes left in the game after Indiana Sophie Cunningham was called for a foul on Wilson as Cunningham protested the foul. A fan seated behind the baseline stood up and pointed at Wilson. Wilson didn't step toward the fan and said, you don't point at me. As the fans started to sit back sit back down other players had to come and pull Wilson away from the fan. The fan was escorted out of the arena, but was allowed back in and took his seat in a statement released later. The fever said arena security spoke with the fan involved as well as witnesses and allowed him to return because, quote, there was no violation of the fan code of conduct. Here was Asia Wilson after the game. I see a man taking steps towards me and pointing at me. I don't give a damn what you said. I don't give a damn how you said it the tone that is unacceptable.

You don't step towards me and point at me. I'm not I'm not put at all. Excuse my French, but that there is unacceptable. Crab it you know me. I hate unruly fans, okay? Yeah, but come on now. Come on now. If you want to be a big time sport, then this is what you get when you get more when you get more and more fans, you're going to get rowdy your fans too. And if you're going to charge fans and arm and a leg to sit on the floor in those chairs, you can't just expect them to stand there and opera clap every once in a while. Okay. The guy pointed, when did pointing become reason to get tossed out of an arena and you know, verbally accosted by a player. Sure, false WNBA players need to get some thicker skin. Let's not forget fan is short for fanatic.

I'm going to say false on that. I think the I think WNBA players have pretty thick skin. I think Asia Wilson in particular. I don't want to I don't want to extrapolate her behavior or generalize her behavior as though it's the entire league. Most of the league that we have seen lash out at fans, it's fans that are throwing objects onto the court to troll the players or Enis Cantor showing up to troll the players. What this fan looked to be doing was what normal fans do to opposing teams to the away team, which is just talking trash about in some form. I think my team is better than yours and you suck. That sort of thing is okay, but what we've seen over the season are WNBA players reacting to something entirely different than every day. Fanatical behavior. I think that this incident isolated wasn't overreaction by Asia Wilson.

Okay. I'll accept that. I agree with what everything you said. I was talking about this incident incident in particular. But again, if you want to be a big time sport, you're going to have to get used to rowdy fans. Okay. But the way that you asked the question was to suggest that the WNBA players at large don't handle the everyday ravenous fan well. And I don't think that's the case. There are certain types of fans who aren't really fans. They're just there because they hate on the WNBA. I have no problem with players lashing out at those individuals. And that's not something that NBA players have to deal with. They don't have any nobody shows up to an NBA game just to troll NBA players for playing in the league. A league that they don't like. That's not what they might get trolled because of a bet not hitting or because you're the opposing team. But they don't just get trolled because and WNBA players do and I give them grace for that.

By the way, have you have you seen the video of the incident of the Asian Wilson. Right. Yeah. Did you see that? So the guy stands up to start pointing right. He stands up and he's yelling and pointing. You know, go look at the guys wife. The guys wife like yank seemed back down in the seat like sit down and shut up. Ow. What are you doing? I wouldn't do it, but I've seen that that exact moment. At almost every magic game I've ever attended. Somebody on the floor has gotten up and pointed at someone on the away team. It happens all the time. Right. Usually it's somebody who's single though. This was Agnes grabbing Owl and telling me to sit down. Sit down, each apprentzel. Those are your highlights and headlines.

Up next, Jalen Suggs apologizes to magic fans. But why? And no one on this show would interrupt them and cut them off. Right now. Died on We have inspired of theologi, right? Right. Find out next. To play. football season in Florida means packed stadiums packed sports bars and your AC still working in overtime. Call Mills Air, whether you need a repair routine maintenance or it's finally time to get that new system. The team at Mills is going to get you feeling comfortable once again. They're local, dependable, they're ready when you need them. So you enjoy football season and leave the sweating to the players. Colleen and the crew schedule your appointment and tell them that Brandon Kravitz from Game On sent you by it's Mills Air dot com. Go

and find him today and be there next cool customer. Sitting here with Jalen Suggs entering your six with the Orlando Magic. It does feel weird to say that. Do you feel like an NBA vet at this point? I'm not going to lie. I do feel like a vet talking to front. We got here at the same time. It's one of walking up and speaking about how crazy it is man coming in the six. You remember the first one, you know, like it was last year, but just what a blessing it is man. To be honest, to be able to start another year, you know, throw this uniform back on and all the work is continuing to pay off. You know, have another opportunity to come out here and continue to show. Show yourself. So what you've been working on and continue chasing greatness. You know, I know getting out on the court, staying on the court for you is such a focus and you're so intense,

so competitive. And I can't imagine how frustrating it is that you haven't been able to string together those 82 games in the last couple of seasons. How is that weighing on you mentally, your guy that wears your heart on your sleeve? So I know that that's something that I'm sure is on your mind all the time. Yeah. I'd be lying if I said it was a frustrated at times. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't hard. You know what I'm saying and dealing with them and coming back and feeling like a bit of a bit of a shell of yourself. But I think that's just part of the game. You know what I'm saying? It's a part that I've kind of just had to accept at this point and you know, I understand that I'm able to come out and still put it still perform. You know, I continue to work on my game each and every day, each and every year, each and every off season. So, you know, I'm trying to prepare myself, build my skillset, you know, high enough, build my mental high enough to where, you know, no matter what happens, you know, I still feel like I have the capabilities come out here. I've asked about the highest of my abilities and help our team win. That's really all I've ever cared about. That's all I've ever done. So, you know, I feel like if I'm consistent off the court and the things that I'm doing

in the way room with the training staff and being smart and everything that I'm doing, you know, I think I get myself a best chance, you know, to play as many games as I can and at that point, it's up to God and I can do and be at peace with whatever is those come from them. But be honest, I mean, nobody uses injuries as an excuse, but if you guys stay healthy for an entire season, I mean, it seems to you look at the stats. It seems to me like a sky's the limit for this team if you guys can all be on the court together. Yeah, I mean, for sure, we've had those conversations definitely. And we want that for one another. I think that's why I think you've seen it from everybody has taken a leap, you know, and what they're doing in the way room, how intentional people are before practice, after practice, both in the injury prevention, taking care of the tendons and everything like that and being detailed. And then both afterwards and getting the lift in, making sure the muscles are prime, recovering, getting stronger, so that we're going to maintain and withstand an NBA season because, you know, we don't want that

to be the narrative, you know, looking back, you know, after your career is over, these windows are so short, man, and to be in this league, you know, even six years is a blessing, you know, but to be honest, league and, you know, saying injuries are part of the reason why, you know, you didn't get to achieve what you wanted to is just so to let down. So I think for us, we're trying to take every step possible to kind of take that out of the equation, you know, take them out of their own hands and make sure that we're out there for as many games as possible. Bring back a bad memory. Do you look at the playoffs last season? You guys have the three one lead. Do you look at it like we blew that lead or do you look at it like if Ron stays healthy, we wouldn't that serious? We blew the lead for sure. And that was something that, that's something that we had to hold on summer. I know like for me personally, that was something that ate at me all summer. It took a while for me to get outside after that. It took a while for me to kind of let go. I still haven't really let go of that. And I think that's still kind of job in a lot of the fire that I got going on day in and day out right now to be honest. They just left

a sour taste in them off. You know, that's the last, that's the last feeling that you get, you know, before a long summer and the summer has been long. Great one. A lot of great works have been put in. Haven't really done much has been pretty quiet. I've been putting weeks together. Didn't do much traveling. So it's a lot of family time and a lot of being in gym, you know, preparing myself for another year and you know to come out here and put my bestful forward. To the game, I think getting done wrong with fully investing while you're here while you're in the league and done wrong with fully investing, you know, into yourself and into your time here. And I think that's kind of what I've what I've come towards, you know, is I want to be my best self. I want to win everyone wants to win. I know I'm coming here saying that every year, but I think really just trying to take those next steps to to accomplish that become more consistent, you know, become more efficient. I think those are the two words of the summer in terms of trying to improve my game. And then just be, you know what I'm saying, just be unapologetically, you know, who Jalen Suggs is now trying to be a shell of myself or anything like that. Come out here play basketball,

be who I know I am as a human being. And like I said, live with the results. So you said that after the the loss in game seven that kind of maybe hit in the house a little bit, how how long into feeling the emotion that comes with that, the disappointment? How many days or weeks do you give yourself before you say, I got to get up. I got to go to the gym. I got to kind of flush that out of the system. Is there a certain time frame to it? Because you do have this long and off season. So I think you could probably give yourself a lot of grace as far as how long that takes. Yeah. What was that process like for you? I took two and a half weeks off of everything. After that, I got back into bodywork. I got plenty space gym in the crib. So like, and again, I really didn't want to get out the house. I didn't feel like some of my face nowhere, break. It just felt like we let everybody down to me on it. So I was just working out in the crib. I had my guys with me. So we're getting everything done in house. And I took about four weeks off

of who once I got back home in the Minnesota, started June. That's when I started my own core program. And I've been rolling from June on. So we were putting full four or five, eight weeks together. So for me, it's been an amazing summer. Like I said, I took that. For those in the radio audience, Jason just smack jail and slugs on the forehead. That was a lot. He just rubbing that bald head for love. My never ending forehead. But no, I was a great summer. Like I said, I took that very horse man and I heard everything. I saw everything and rightfully so I wasn't running from none. I took a lot of ownership for what transpired to be honest. And I was very eager. From when I got home in June and started getting on court, man, I was very eager to come back, improve myself and get some redemption. Not only to the league and come back and put some more good product out there. But for the fans, and for the city, I feel like I've been here so long. And I've invested so much that

that was just a misrepresentation of who I am and who we are. Man, man, this is a public apology because I didn't give it in. But like that was unacceptable. And we talk about the standards that we want to uphold and the places we want to go. And that was not that. So like I said, I took that very harsh. I know a lot of us did on the squad. And so I said, I think we have a very personal worry about it. We accept your apology. That's real. That's that that I mean, I don't think we think we can do any better than that. Jalen Suggs, ladies and gentlemen, thanks so much for the time. Yeah, that was the obvious. That was hour one on one or two on one with Jalen Suggs. I just want to maybe offer up a free lesson for those out there that are thinking about one day getting into broadcasting your journalism. When you ask a good question and you're getting an even better answer, a look into hearing into the camera apology from an

athlete, I don't care what they're apologizing for. One thing that you should not do is interrupt them. And that is exactly what Mike Bianchi, our season professional did. This guy is out here cutting a promo for us. And in a rubsum to say it's okay. It's okay. We forget he wasn't done. We don't know what the punctuation of that apology was. Crab its he gave us the apology. Okay, and you need to provide some context as well. Okay, some context. We had we had Franz Wagner right there getting ready to come on to be interviewed. We had the magic media relations team saying, hey, you guys need to wrap this up off the air. All right. So I'm I'm trying to stay on schedule and he had his apology and plus I wanted to make him feel better. Crab it's I wanted I wanted to make him feel

better. Making him feel better wasn't the problem. Ending the interview immediately after his answer definitely would have been the right thing to do. But Mike, Mike, stop defending yourself. You know as well as I do. The last thing you do when you're getting an answer like that is stop them dead in their tracks. If that had happened, if that I will admit this, if that had happened like in a like a press conference setting in another reporter had interrupted him while he were saying that, I would have just looked at that guy and go, what in the hell are you doing? What in the hell are you doing? I'm writing this quote. I've been to put it in the paper and instead of ending the sentence, it's okay, Jalen. We forgive you. More game on coming around the back. That was bad. I'm glad that you admit it. Don't move, Muscle. This is a public apology because I didn't give it in, but like that was unacceptable. And we talk about standards that we want to uphold and the

places we want to go. And that was not that. And so like I said, I took that very harsh. I know a lot of us did on the squad. And Jalen, so I said, I think we have a very personal word about it. We accept your apology. That's a dream on would be on the planet. Hey, it was, it was really was almost done. Okay. All right. One of the reasons I trust Ziggler air conditioning is because they proved themselves to me when I needed them most. I've told you the story a few times, but I'm going to repeat it because it's such a great story. It was almost, it was a little more than a year ago. Labor day weekend, a year ago, it was 95 degrees out. All right. My AC goes out. All right. Most people are traveling, many businesses are closed and getting service can, you know, it can be almost impossible. But I remember Ziggler air has an emergency line. So I called the number not expecting them to actually answer. They answered in two rings. There was a technician in my house within two hours. And my AC was fixed. My weekend

was saved. And that's the difference between a company that talks about customer service and one that actually delivers it. Jason and his team at Ziggler air understand that in Florida, AC isn't optional. It's essential. That's why they're preventive maintenance program is so valuable. They do it all. They clean drain lines, replace filters, lubricate moving parts, and perform a detailed 25 point inspection, design the catch problems before they leave you sweating through an important holiday weekend for 40 years. They've been taking care of central Florida families the right way. So give them a call 407 2458765 407 2458765. Tell them the bulldog sent you Ziggler air conditioning. Don't ever lose your cool. When plumbing problems struck and see what's happening with the teams that call the state of Florida home sending you back to the studio. It's game on with Bianchi and Krabitz.

B-U-C-C-A-N-E-E-R-S-Go box. It is time for our weekly check up on those Maccurial Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Oh, and three on the season and injured quarterback. Not a lot going well at one buck place, but we check in with Peter reports Scott Reynolds all the same. Scott's we are officially in panic mode when it comes to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. You could not have anticipated the start of the season being quite this treacherous. No, certainly not losing Baker Mayfield or losing the first three games. Two of which have been at home, right? The Vikings which their offense was kind of a net. Their defense certainly was a buzz saw. But then the three of them Browns too who all of a sudden were under Todd Munk and they're they're two and one. So yeah, the only saving grace right now is the fact that it Todd bulls eloquently. But the funny thing is we're only one game out of first place in the NFC South. And that's technically true even though the Buccaneers are O and three. The division that I

you know affectionately called crap hill is is pretty much full of crap this year again. All of the other teams are one and two right now. All right, let's talk about this quarterback that's going to be sliding in now. Jalen Daniels a monster in the preseason. But what do you expect now that the lights are brighter in the regular season and an interesting matchup against the team that is also really struggling to start the year? Yeah, the packers don't do well on the trenches and quite honestly the Buccaneers have it on the opposite side of the ball. The defense side of the ball is got back together. When it comes to stopping the run, the ranked second in the NFL only allowing 76 yards per game on the ground. The packers would love to have a game. 70th charge rushing. Actually averaging 48 yards rushing per game. So they're at last in the league. So the advantage in the trenches on the defensive side goes to Tampa Bay against the packers often. They're going to have a couple of new starters. Their offensive lines actually worse than Tampa Bayes

is right now. The Buccaneers can run the ball pretty well. Pass protection is is a comedy of errors. And so with Jalen Daniels coming in, I think the recipe for success is literally like 40 carries between Buccane Irving, Kenny Gainwell and Sean Tucker who we really haven't seen yet this year, but get those guys to walk and then maybe throw the ball 20 times. If they can do that and we saw the Atlanta Falcons rush for nearly 300 yards in Lambo against this packers defense which won't have Michael Parsons. That's that I think is what gives Jalen Daniels the best chance for success. If he has to drop back and throw, it can be an adventure just ask Baker Mayfield who's been sack 13 times. Some of those on Baker for scrambling into sacks are holding onto the ball too long but there are some real issues at the guards. Cody Malik has not played well in either of the

then breadison. Graham Barton has been hit or miss with the holding calls. So you know it's a treacherous situation for Tampa Bay that desperately need to win and they're calling on that's just a rookie quarterback but an undrafted free agent quarterback to do that. It's not impossible but kind of improbable given how poorly the offense has played from the play caller Zach Robinson to the tight ends to pretty much anybody but Buccane Irving has not played well in offense. Scott I'm a little bum fuzzled about having an undrafted free agent rookie backup quarterback. You see some of these other teams were these over liable veterans like Drew Locke and Case Keenum and Marcus Mariotta are coming in. I mean we seen it with Joe Flacco obviously in the past. Why don't the Bucks have a guy like that? I mean why is why is Jalen Daniels their backup quarterback? It really doesn't make a lot of sense. We'll say this Jalen Daniels did beat out Jake Browning who

they brought him in to beat that guy and he's 30 years old he's been in the league he's that's the start since Nadi but didn't play that well and Jalen Daniels in practice in the preseason legitimately beat him out but it's a good question because if you're going to sit there and say hey you know the laser family we're you know we're the best team in the NFC South we're going to rebound this year we're all in let's let's pay Vita Vega let's pay Baker Mayfield let's invest in this team let's go out and be aggressive in preseason and to not find a better veteran quarterback than Jake Browning who was susceptible enough to get beat out by an undrafted free agent quarterback it just it kind of is a book funneling plan right because it just doesn't kind of go together I know they had Teddy Bridgewater last year he's a more established guy but Bridgewater didn't really want to come back and I'm not sure the team wanted him back but yeah it is a bit of a pickle but here they are it's not like this kid doesn't have any ability he does it's just that he's a more

raw player being an undrafted free agent every team including Tampa Bay passed on him for seven rounds for a reason right now you could also sit there and say well you know Brock Pretty was one draft pick away from being you know in Jalen Daniel shoes okay that's fine who's the other one right Brock Pretty is the outlier Tom Brady the six-round pick is the outlier this is not a usual happenstance thing we're undrafted for agents come in to light it up I mean Tony Rolmo yes again in outlier this is not a regular kind of thing but you know what against this packers defense in this packers team it's not really that good they have a puncher's chance if they can get him in a situation where they're winning on first down getting five or six yards of carry manageable third downs using his legs a little bit not having him drop back and throw 25 plus times in the game the easiest thing for any quarterback or rookie or veteran is to turn the ball turn sorry turn around and hand the ball off and if they do that on Sunday they'll have a chance

I think a lot of you you call it the division crap Hill I think crap Hill has probably stunted the bucks growth because every year you know even though they're mediocre they can win that division and they're they don't go through a rebuild um when you believe that it's crap Hill stunted the bucks growth I think so is this kept tie bulls employed right and you know and you go back now in hindsight's 2020 but I mean if you look across the state what Liam Cohen is doing it you know 15 and five in his first 20 games and he took over a four and 13 Jackson built him right and and has them winning the division flipping that to the 13 and four in his first year and then he's off to a hot start this year so that that wasn't a fluke Trevor Lawrence looks like he's a quarterback that's actually earning his $55 million a year thanks to Liam Cohen and the bucks offense has kind of been in shambles since coming left in hindsight you know it would

have taken a bold move and maybe if Malcolm Blazer was still alive remember Malcolm Blazer fired Tony Dungee the guy who turned the yuck in ears into the buck in ears and kind of resurrected this franchise but he fired Dungee after he realized he wasn't going to be able to take this team to the top but he made another bold move in trading for John Grooton who was the offensive masterbind and you know added some balance to a team that already had a great defense and they won the super ball right this this laser family just hasn't been as bold since since the late Malcolm Blazer passed away it kept tie bulls they want him to succeed at all costs and they had an opportunity this offseason to fire Todd Bowles and higher Todd Monkin who don't you know don't look now but beat the bucks in week two and actually beat the Carolina Panthers last week and the Browns are two and one with with an inferior roster and DeShon Watson a quarterback that's the sign of great coaching now Monkin might win five or six games this year but he'll get time to rebuild that roster

he kind of reminds me a little bit of like Bruce Arian's 2.0 an offensive minded aggressive feisty coach great leadership qualities that's getting his first opportunity to be head coach later in life so right now man the the lasers have the opportunity to get rid of the stale malaise in Tampa that has kind of been you know the Todd Bowles era and makes some changes and get the offensive minded head coach to pair with the quarterback and they haven't done it and so they're probably have to do it for this year but it's a year or two too late. Ken Jalen Daniels ignite the offense Scott Reynolds from peterreport.com wrote about it go and check out that article Scott always appreciate the time curious to see what kind of conversation we're having next week after the bucks playbackers. Appreciate it guys have a great week thank you. to today a daily quote still to be delivered this afternoon you're interrupting George straight right right I don't want to hear it from you captain interruption okay is George straight apologizing today interrupt his apology singing about amma really you one of the best country songs of all time we are giving Mike Bianchi loads of grief today because jalen sugs was peering into the camera issuing a public apology to Orlando magic fans he might he might have even stuff he might have even started crying if i hadn't interrupted him i'm trying to think of like if there were other great moments in in american world history four score and seven year it's okay Abraham we don't need to know how long it's been i have a dream that one day that's okay it was a dream no one cares about your dreams

Martin keep it through yourself oh get to your responses Mike oh man one of his great moments text in five zero eight five seven you can also hit us up in the rage cage lawyer those throughout the course of the show nick wailin from rota wire dot com said to join the show momentarily when i go through all the biggest storylines in the nfl and another edition of mic dust still to come we've got prizes to give away too right now we're gonna take a quick step to the side let the folks of fox sports radio get you all caught up with the latest and greatest in sports and a major league baseball update back in 60 seconds and here's what you need to know fillies and braves tied up at one of pieces they play the seven dinging game two of their national league wild card series both scored in the first inning and rb i single from brice harper put the

fills up first and then mad Olsen responded with his own rb i single in the bottom half one one in the seventh and the braves at bases loaded in the sixth but the fillies got out of it raves up one oh on the best of three series moving on to the national football league where ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was listed as limited in practice today reports earlier today so that he was sitting out the workout as they prepare for the tenisee titans commander's quarterback jaden daniel's limited in practice today he has not been ruled out of their game in london against the cults and coach dan quinn wouldn't rule out the possibility of daniel starting saying they want to see how he deals with his injured elbow this week steel is one i've cornered joey porter jr or reek old dotto tomorrow against the browns texans got water sheber neco colons back on the practice field today i'm dan byer portions of the show are recorded nick has a serious condition he knows way too much about everything nba nfl fantasy you name it he's got an answer he's from the midwest yet somehow loves the jacksonville jaguars we don't

understand it either he's nick walen from rotawire dot com we don't have to understand it but we do love it nick walen rotawire dot com you can also catch him on the fantasy sports channel on serious xm radio but he's more than just a fantasy guy isn't everything guy he's a guy's guy nick we are a couple of weeks away from the full sports mesh baseball playoffs going on and fl college football and our precious nba are you mentally prepared for the flurry that is about to hit us i think i am brandon i think i am and you know there are a lot of media days going off on monday around the mba that was a little bit of a shock to the system right i think i knew we're like three weeks away from the start of the season but you start to see these like real actionable player notes trickling in brandon ingerm is dealing with a partially torn Achilles you started to see lebron and actual 76ers uniform and then you go over to your preferred uh you know side of choice

for me it'd be rotawire dot com of course and you see we have mba preseason games starting up on saturday so there's always that initial like oh what we got to get locked in period but i think i'm going to get there man i think i'm going to get there you know having this baby at home i'm playing less golf on the weekends i'm watching more college football brooers start up this weekend for the nlds so i'm i'm ready for battle interesting how the kid thing works it's like in one respective distracts you but in the nether it keeps you grounded and at home and that can help with sports consumption so it's just about a matter of how you balance that one thing i also worry about with you is the balance of optimism and pessimism we want your weekly jags temp check i find you to be a generally pessimistic jags fan so how are you handling this this is a team that has looked as impressive as any to start the year especially after what they did to new england yeah that's that's a big question i think not only for the jaguars but for for me you know a lot of

people ask me Nick how do you how do you handle success right after after two decades of feeling lucky to win like six games in any season and yeah it feels it feels a little more real to me than last year right because jacksville you know started off you're kind of alternating wins and losses they went through a little bit of a slump in the first half of the season but you know the big question for me coming into the year was do we see that same thing early on or do they pick up where they left off over those final eight or nine games it's been pretty embatically that they have picked up where they left off i know the Denver loss in week two they're not gonna they're not gonna love how that second half wins but i thought they looked like the better team for the majority of that game an absolute trousing of the new england patriot last week now we do have to keep in mind i i i think they might might just be temporarily broken you know i'm still i have my reservations about the jaguars defense and that is i think what's going to be tested this week again since of adi a lot of the EPA numbers would tell you jacksville has been a top five top six defense but they have forced a ton of turnovers they're not turning the ball over themselves offensively and i just don't think they've been tested by an offense like the Cincinnati Bengals which as we

know Brandon usually takes two three four weeks before they start to really hit their stride when healthy i don't think we've seen the best of the Bengals offense yet and you know after facing Drake Bay and uh to Sean Watson you know in the first two weeks bonix it's a pretty big step up in class for jacksville this week so i'm i'm feeling good about where the teams stand i'm not feeling overly confident about this game on the road yeah this is going to tell us a lot about either one of these teams fascinated game one of the games of the weekend you brought me on your show on series xm today and you asked me about the Tampa Bay bucket years their new starting quarterback in jalen daniel's i want to flip the script on you and ask you about the other team the one that sits in your backyard in the green bay packers this team is struggling they can't run the football the defense without my cuparsins just leaves a lot to be desired and and Jordan love is is trying to kind of save it all and i'm not sure he's good enough to do that where are we in terms of

any belief that the packers are good enough to turn this thing around or if people up there already given up on the season well i can tell you from the many friends who i've been trading text with over the last week many of those flowing in on Thursday night uh the majority of the people i've talked to uh not only think the season is over but think that the packers are the worst team in the NFL uh there was some talk that the packers should just seed from the national football i don't know if that was permanent or or for the rest of the year uh packers fans are down that there's no question about that i was i was hanging out with one of my buddies who actually lives in green bay this past weekend he was at the game a very mild mannered normal guy and he said he's like i almost got kicked out like i just could not control myself i i they're not seeing the packers play like that at home like basically and i in my entire life you know we're talking about guys who are 30 35 years old so there's certainly a sense of panic with green bay maybe because i'm able to look at this a little bit more objectively brand and i'm not ready to completely plan the door on the season now the packers looked to me like a team that has any chance to make a play out for

on to make the super bowl that was certainly a possibility coming into the year i don't think that ceiling is there i just don't well we'll see what the defense looks like when microparcines comes back but i don't see them getting the offense of line to the point that it needs to be what we're talking super bowl but can they be in it can they be on the in the hunt graphic in week 14 week 15 i think they can and they catch a major break you know getting jayland daniels in this first real taste to better fall action this week you're likely getting the bears in week five without Caleb Williams there is a path to sitting three and two with the Dallas Cowboys coming to Lambo Field on Sunday night in week six you know everybody can move it on that defense they get the Troy they get Carolina they get new England after that yes they have some good units on those teams and i think all of those teams are beatable the season is not lost for green bay but if they find a way to lose in Tampa Bay to jayland daniels i may have to change by two next week all right nick two questions for you the first one is this which of these surprisingly good teams do you think has a chance to maintain where they're headed the browns the raiders i'm going through the

the standings here the Vikings who are three and oh and then there was one other one uh those three those three so the Vikings the raiders and the browns the browns um okay well i look i'll say this the browns that browns have a real shout to be three and one tomorrow night because i think that that's still a seed but it's going to look a lot like last year they could beat anybody on any given day they can lose to anybody they also put the jets in week five game is in new york and you know i think there's there's maybe a baseline with Cleveland or this this could be like a seven eight win team in a best case scenario but to me it's Minnesota right i mean the Vikings have been a terrible offense by all measures they've had some of the worst quarterback play in the NFL and they're sitting at three and oh and we know the defense is real i think that's the difference with minnesota where we've seen it we we respect the coordinator we respect that coaching staff and the personnel they have what to me has looked like the best defense in the NFL

so far i think that is going to be sustainable throughout the season and i also expect culinary to play better than he has and with alterly a one game and like one series sample if we're counting that that first series against green bay he just looked terrible i trust Kevin O'Connell to to get him right as the season goes along so minnesota to me probably the best of that crop and i i like what the raiders are doing i also really like the chiefs this week to cover four and a half and beat the raiders you look at the turnovers so far that that raiders defense is generating nine turnovers by far the highest turnover rate in the NFL you dig in on some of the advanced numbers the success rate numbers would tell you that defense is not nearly at that level and the raiders are one of the worst running teams in the NFL once again dead last in success rate on the ground only green bay has been worse in terms of rushing EPA in contrast which of these surprisingly bad teams has the best chance to turn it around the Texans o and three the chargers o and three the packers who we just talked about and the bucke an ears who are o and three

i get out and out further rams in there as well okay okay well it's probably the ramps and it's probably the ramps i mean there are there one and two they were up 16 at halftime the other night absolutely should have won that game you know it's been close to a worst case start from an injury perspective where there are so many big names on this roster but i think the two most important players miles Garrett and Pukinakua have both missed multiple games hopefully they get in the kua back this week Garrett's on iar i think the expectations were probably always a little unrealistic for this team i mean on this very show a few weeks ago we were talking about whether they could go undefeated correct didn't even make it through a week one got blown out in Australia i think the rams will be will be just fine yeah they they can't have too many more slothups because the nfc will be competitive i as we talked about i don't think green bases in his over used in you know they win this week at the jacks lose all the sudden the other they're basically one game back in that division the chargers though the chargers are cooked i i i will make make no uh no bones about it i mean they have not even scored more than 16 points yet the schedule does not light up until they play the jets before Thanksgiving i mean this team could pretty easily guys be

one in seven by the time that jets game rolls around oh oh two more things for you were talking to nick wailin from rotawire.com i'm going to get personal for a second i spent way too much of my free agent acquisition budget on ollie gordon um i and i had a hundred and thirty three monopoly dollars i now have seventy one monopoly dollars did i overspend on ollie gordon as a backup running back on my fantasy team i i don't think you necessarily did especially because you know the dolphins as well as anybody you know the the way the wires just been pretty barren so far i the the one thing i would say is you know what is the upside in that offense even if ollie gordon is clearly the guy going forward like if he's in the h-chan role and he you know wins that job clearly over jalen riot or dark was hunter and weberels is going to be in the mix like we kind of saw it already with h-chan where you weren't even doing great about starting him you know a player who we really respect for for his individual talent and now you know i think we like ollie gordon nobody saying he's the

same type of player as h-chan and if if divine h-chan was struggling in that often is ollie gordon going to look a whole lot better so i think that's kind of the devil's advocate argument but look i would never never fab shame anybody i i just spend sixty five percent of my budget in one league to make sure i got ollie gordon ran in because by starting running back last week with Tajik Spears and travis h-chan as you can imagine that team is struggling so far so if you're in the spot where you just need a starter at running back you kind of got to make sure you get a player like gordon when he becomes available just because of the opportunity exactly i just have not been thrilled with what the waiver wire has produced so far so i said you know what i don't even know if i want this budget let me just blow my money i'll regret this there's going to be that guy that everybody wants that i'm no longer going to have money for three weeks from now but uh whatever this is uh this is the this is the investment we made last thing for you nick jaden grimes our producer i need you on the ready for this one so we we were at magic media day on monday and we sat down with a lot of the starters the star players the coaches and all of that and jalen sugs with someone

that sat down he's always someone that wears his heart on his sleeve he felt bad he performed poorly in the final couple of games of the Detroit series uh he dealt with injuries throughout the course of the year and he offered us an apology a public apology to the fans i want you to listen to how this apology ends and then i need your your review of this jaden go ahead this is a public apology um because i didn't give it in but like that that was unacceptable and we talked about the standards that we want to uphold and the the places we want to go um and that that was not that um and so like i said i took that very harsh i know a lot of us did on the squad um and jalen so i said i think we don't worry very personal don't worry about it we accept your apology that's real that's real that's real nick is that not just a journalistic detonation of a perfectly great clipable moment that Mike Bianchi would cut him off mid public apology help me out here i i had no idea where we were taking

this guy i thought i was going to be asked to like analyze the apology and i was just to be like again i guess i guess it sounded good do you like to see that for the player uh yeah what are we doing what are we doing? he asked what a finish i mean what now you now you can't even clip it yeah that was yeah that was not one of my high points in journalism right there i almost clapped them over the head now it's issue of public apology to jalen so i was for interrupting the apology nick wailin rotawire.com i appreciate the support on the matter go and find them uh unwrote wire and on series xm daily on the fantasy sports channel thanks man go jogs go magic uh go packers i guess always good to be with you guys all right coming up next our daily quote of the day a text question that you need to come face to face with we'll get to that next game on with bionky and crevice it's the bulldog mic bionky sometimes you have to admit that

the one you're with always my thought with quotes like that be happy with what you have I think you have more of us and and and I think it goes beyond that beyond just being happy with what you have is to realize that the day that you're in the time the era you're currently in very well could be your heyday what if you you nobody says that whenever you think about what's the best time in your life no one ever says now that's never the response it's always when I was a teenager when I went to college or when I first met the one that I love you know there's always some other era but what about right now what if right now what if you're living in it currently I think more people including myself should take stock of that that maybe this is the era that you'll look back on and go that was the best time of my life success is getting what you

want happiness is wanting what you get boom so yes very much so and I don't know if this transitions well to our text question today but we're going to do it anyway so our text question today is in relation to the procedure that I had done yesterday something that I wanted to do but can't say I was necessarily eager to do and that is getting the big V that's sent to me so I I was putting it off a little bit and then even I had this procedure scheduled about two months ago at least a month ago and I didn't realize that you couldn't take Advil a couple of days prior to the procedure that this is an important tip by the way seven days you're going to go seven days without taking any sort of blood thinner like Advil or aspirin so they called me and this was a month or two ago

and they said have you and it was the day of the surgery they said have you taken any blood thinners and I said yes and they immediately without hesitation said okay we're canceling your appointment and while it's annoying to have to reschedule it if I'm being honest I was pretty relieved because I wasn't exactly looking forward to it so I finally got it done that the text question is about exactly that that feeling that task that one we all have it that you're dreading what's the one thing that you've been putting off that you really need to do five zero eight five seven or if you want to win our prize today which Jayden I believe we have concert tickets that we can give away for this yeah five finger death punch tickets five finger death punch tickets Mike Mike's been a fan of them since they were four finger death punch yes since they were just one thumb death punch pinky pinky death punch so if you leave us a talk back with a good

explanation of what is the thing that you are dreading that you've been putting off just vent to us will give you the five finger death punch tickets you have one oh yeah when you get to be my age you should you should have a will okay a will getting a will making out a will and you know going through all that estate planning stuff I you know I've got you know I work with Trajan wealth and they have that but I have been putting off going to them with my estate planning and having a will done because it's sort of morbid sort of yeah when I die right yeah but you everybody should do it obviously because you don't you know you wanted to make it an easy transition so that would be the one the one thing I've been putting off have you had to

pick your burial spot yet have you gone through that process I don't know that I'm going to get buried I want to visit the Bianchi tombstone I'll give you I'll give you an urn just a little urn with my ashes in it that's good that would be great that would mean a lot to go right up right up on the shelf right next to Michael Jordan up here yeah I feel very relieved because this was the thing I still I haven't gone to the dentist in a little while so that I could probably stand to do but this was the thing and while it's not a pleasant experience to this procedure I totally disagree in fact when I had mine when I had mine done by I told you the physician's name doc by doctor bald doc was his name and I when I was done I said hey can I do this every week can I come back next week and have another one I liked it yeah what about it I like that did you like I liked it

they put cool so for those that don't know how this works you put your pants around your ankles around other people that you're not married to which is weird and then and then you lay on a on a chair like at the doctors it's like the typical doctors office chair with the with the sheet on it and everything you lay back and then they squeeze this cold ice cold gel I like that much like more of that please and then I don't know whatever happens from there is really weird and and I could I could not get out of there fast enough could not get out fast enough I'm glad that I'm glad that I'm done with it I want to know what you're dreading five finger death punch tickets for one of you the doctors were very impressed with me let me just say that okay I'm sure that they were the size of your articles up next it is a Wednesday mic'd up jalen daniel says be the thermostat

One thing I learned in college was you know you you can't be at the marmiter you have to be the thermostat you have to be someone who comes in and is able to set the temperature of the room not test the test the room and try to be able to blend in with it so I try to if you know if the teams if the team is low I have to be able to pick it up to be able to make sure they're even if we're high then I have to be able to be low to be able to make sure that we're even I try to be

even kill as possible and I think that being able to go out there and have that even kill feel the team around you feel that hmm that doesn't make sense to me you can't be even keel all right and be the thermostat all right if you're the thermostat you have to be flexible as he just said if it's too cold in the room you have to elevate the heat if it's too hot in the room you have to lower the heat so you can't be even you have to be able to you can you want to be you want to be the thermostat you want to control a nice 75 in the room keep it nice keep it nice and cool but not too cool not too hot you know I kind of view it like the way that I control the thermostat in my house and I always keep it between 74 and 76 you know it doesn't matter what the move out of town what if you're out of town and you you said it like 80 you're out of town for a week or two you said it 80 because you don't want

it to crank on then you come back home and you said it like 70 I'm picturing Todd bowls just hitting the up arrow on his way out the door I speaking up James circumcise and you leave that when you leave town it's a different temperature right speaking of Jalen Daniels here's Adam Shepter and Jeff Darlington talking about the Buck and heirs new quarterback he was in the east west Shrinegan generally we're talking about okay this guy had a good senior both east west Shrinegan came into the Bucks facility really impressed them on his visit personality wise and football wise ended up signing him after the draft and you know there was an interesting moment in training camp during one of the preseason games he was not supposed to play came in in relief for one play ran it a six yard game and scrambling around a little bit it was just a play but the team left that being like you know what this might not be too big for him we'll see what happens but there is a lot of confidence in a player most of us have never heard of with all the respect he lost me at east west Shrinegan and and one play then I think the problem here is that

the Bucks are already pinned against the wall they're already sitting here even if they had Baker Mayfield healthy looking at this saying we've got to be better and suddenly now they're relying on a guy who is who is an undrafted rookie with very little experience this is going to be such an uphill battle for the Bucks I don't get it I really don't get having this guys your backup quarterback cravit as I as I asked Nick Whalen earlier you've got or no I Scott Reynolds I asked Scott Reynolds I said listen you've got all these veteran backups playing lights out and here come the Bucks with their undrafted rookie free agent in a division that's still winnable and boom I'm interested to see how he plays I don't have much confidence well the reason he's the backup is because he won the backup job he wasn't gifted this position yeah because they brought in a bad veteran that's why the pre-season's intention is not to entertain us with starters unfortunately

it is to decide the depth and the order of that depth on a NFL roster Jalen Daniels was not supposed to be the backup he was sensational in the preseason he earned that role and I'm curious to see if he can take that performance in games that don't matter and roll that into a game that does I'm pretty optimistic I think he might infuse some life into this lifeless offense okay all right I hope so speaking of infusing life into a lifeless offense new gators offensive coordinator buster fought and her here he is talking about his playbook volume of plays and the playbook how often are you adding to that or tweaking formationally or always yeah like you you'll bring something new in every single week formationally motions shifts you know those are the things that you know we don't change a lot of concepts on a weekend we count basis but we do change the

pictures change the picture graphics you got to change the picture to confuse the defense this guy's nose they just show him up in the press box he knows what he's doing he knows so confident yeah it's so confident and and he hits you from this is not a one trick pony this is offense in football is very complicated it's why you've got a lot of smart people that do a really bad job at it because it's hard you know you have to have the personnel obviously but then there's there's a level of simplicity of doing the basics while also being innovative and then when you talk about things like motion and shifts and all of that you know that sounds great but if your players don't understand what they're supposed to do all that turns into is a 10 yard penalty and sets you back so motion only works if players understand what it is you're implementing that tends to be in my opinion with separates the great offensive play callers from the bad ones are

the ones that are able to come up with these unique concepts and then deliver those concepts to their players in a way that they don't mess it up when you've got 80,000 fans screaming at you and he has figured that out here's Clemson coach dabbo swinny talking about playing the Miami Hurricanes this week this is a team that in my opinion really don't have any weaknesses I mean so it's I mean it just is what it is I mean it's a really really talented football team across the board it's it's hard to it's really hard to kind of you know look at it and say okay I mean quarterback's I mean he's 85 almost 90 percent completion it's hard to do that on air I mean we we have we don't have many days that we're 90 percent completion on air so I mean it's it's pretty it's pretty amazing when you when you look at what they've done offense it's like looking at a video game or something it's there's going 50 points a game almost 600 yards of offense per game

it's unreal translation you thought LSU kicked our ass wait till you see what these guys do to us wait till you see what these guys do to us right seriously yes and I agree the the dairy and men's completion percentage I will I will hear none I've seen it on the text line I will hear none of the yeah but who have they played I don't care who you've played right the guy doesn't throw in complete passes like Davos Swinney said that's hard to do in practice when no one's covering you Clemson by the way 16 and a half point home underdog against Miami the biggest underdog role in Davos Swinney's 19 year coaching career wow and I don't think that's enough quite frankly I tend to agree here's Dion Sanders getting into it with the reporter well listen listen you mentioned sweet wine it's been a topic of conversation that because he and Quonnell have the same jersey there's so stupid I know oh cue for six has number six right and so does boom

and so does boom yeah but they can't be on the field so so so what do you think we did when put another jersey I'm on a real I know I know you're joking so we got extra jerseys that's how stupid some of this stuff feels man like come on fellas you guys gotta come on you guys are journalists right come on like shut that bull jump down it's just stupid so sweet wine one plate because Quonnell is more deep I want to give you an opportunity to clear that up come on man that come on guys come on man we we you know all of you don't have love but we at least you know a dysfunctional family okay okay that come on come on guys I don't understand what they were they were discussing there the players having the same numbers so if you have two players with the same number they can't be on the field at the same time you can have two players two to four numbers and I think that there was a player that was held out on certain plays and the

criticism was that it was because they were the same number and Deon was saying if we wanted him in the game we would just switch his jersey number I think he was asked to really dumb question and I think that it is one thing I will say about all the the flag that Deon gets it does seem like he has asked questions that other coaches are not asked I wonder what Billy Naps. I think you need intelligence is questioned all the time I wonder what Billy Naps here Billy Naps was asked some pretty dumb question that's not a very good question yeah see good call salad counterpoint coming up next your text your talk backs your chance at not one two three four five finger death punch concert tickets also Jeff Colham voice of the Noles on the way next game on would be on key and cravit the time is nigh as my co-host would say imagine picking winners

up s you that is the voice of the voice the voice of the Florida state seminole the great Jeff call hand he joins us every Wednesday to talk a little seminole football you can listen to Jeff call the games right here in central florida at our sister station box sports radio am eight ten in talahasse at fm 94.9 wt and t and in jaxonville espn 690 on the am dial Jeffrey how are you today how are you doing boys going through i talking to you guys it's uh five o'clock on a wednesday which means the the weekend is right around the corner right you got Thursday night football tomorrow night big game in the atc on friday night in black smart with pit at virginia tech that's a big one yeah i know you can't be onky and obviously a big one for florida state at home against virginia on

saturday afternoon with a tough atcc slate staring us right uh right in the face by the way guys things you're dreading as guys colonoscopies colonoscopies but make sure you get them cannot over over 40 years old don't put it off go get it done i'll say it again i like my vasectomy and i don't mind colonoscopies either i don't mind oh boy oh boy i can't i can't figure it out either Jeff for rabbit he's a rabbit you need word i'm learning we're learning more and more about we'll get some bulldog barking yeah you just wait until christmas rolls around he starts telling you about clarees all right that's i don't want to know all right all right well here's what gets to be barking as well this weekend's game florida state versus virginia i have already declared this this is a time is nigh game for the seminoles if they want to change the narrative on this state season if they want to change the narrative on mike norville's jobs status it has to start saturday they must win

this game jef colchain what's he who it's huge like it is it's huge and i was asked a question the other day of the remaining home games on the schedule you know which one is the biggest this one Clemson or or NC state and obviously florida's home game as well at the end of the season but it's this one right now with what you have coming with four of the next five games on the schedule away from d'Oque this is a big one and you're sitting at two and two oh and one in the ACC and your next two games are on the road out Louisville on a Friday night and at Miami and you know you don't need to get into it much deeper than that and you know i think you hit it on the head this is this is a massive game for the direction of this season there's no question about it obviously we know the chatter and the and the pressure that is out there being discussed on on the outside with this florida stay football team and so it is absolutely huge and this is going

to be a great game i mean this is going to be a physical football game this will be a game that reveals character about both of these football teams on Saturday afternoon this has been a series especially a dog that's been dominated by the garden goal and Mike Norvelli company are hoping he hoping to tap into some of that historical supremacy against this Virginia program even though UVA has certainly climbed the ladder under Tony Elliott the last couple of years specifically a year ago but florida state is one nine of the ten meetings versus the the Cavaliers at doe Campbell stadium the average margin of victory at doe versus UVA is 24.8 points per game with seven of those nine wins by 21 points or more in the history of this series but the first time since 2014 UVA has been a doe so hoping to harness some of that historical supremacy this is going to be a great football game to be a part of on Saturday okay so florida state had the ball only 20 minutes and 48 seconds

against central Arkansas last week is that just a statistical oddity or is that a warning sign heading into a Virginia game where Virginia leads the ACC in time of position. Yeah you know I think I think it's certainly something to to talk about I don't I honestly don't worry about it I really don't a lot of that's like was on the final drive of the game that was a 20 play drive for central Arkansas with some of the young guys in the contest and there were there were penalties that extended that drive to to to keep the time of possession in that you know in that that lean towards UCA the other item too was that that florida state scored quickly on a lot of drives only a two play drive on the first drive of the game scoring a touchdown scored quickly on their second drive of the game as well so the more concerning thing for me was were the penalties you know 10 penalties for 105 yards that can't happen those things cannot happen and those are areas that

that has to be cleaned up Mike has to get better and and I think it will I think you're going to see a team that is focused that understands the weight of this game and what it means because of everything that is coming on this schedule you got to take home field advantage you got to take care of it you got to take care of the dog and you got to give this group some momentum going into two tough road games as we talked about a moment ago. I'm talking to Jeff Cole Haney's the radio voice of the Florida state seminole's always love his weekly visit. I saw the rumor mill is spending saying that Mike or Vell well I don't know if it's a rumor because Mike norville said it but I was just trying to up the drama but that practice this week there's some of the best days of practice for Florida state can you confirm or deny that based on what you have seen in her. I love to hear it crab it's just make it let's just call it a win for Florida state already on Saturday I love to

hear that. No I look it's trust me if the head coach is saying that it was pretty darn good because you know he's not going to come out and say that unless it's actually happening. He's not one of those guys when you know he feels like the week has not maybe gone to the the expectation getting ready for an opponent he's not just going to throw it out there even though as positive as he is about his football team and his players and how he backs his guides you know he's always going to keep it real with them from that standpoint so that's a positive sign for Florida state fans. Now I've heard of I've been around teams where I've asked the coach before a game what do you think and they go out the weekend go very good and you come out and you play like gangbusters and I've also seen where the you asked the coach how the week go best week of the year and you come out on Saturday and you fall flat so you want to put good good days of work and obviously want to have momentum going into the weekend but all that matters is what happens

over 60 minutes when those two teams go ahead to head. How much extra pain is there for a Florida state supporter this year to see what Florida is producing now inside of the top 10 best offense in college football the Miami Hurricanes in the title game last year they look like they might even be better than they were a year ago does that add salt to the wound or are Florida state supporters and fans just so focused on on being good week to week that they're not worried about it. Oh, Kravis, it definitely is add and salt. I mean it's added about as much garlic salt as they added to my wife's pasta last night and it was a lot. All right. I mean, don't go dog in the wife's pasta. Okay, that's no way to live Jeff. I loved it, Kravis. She told me to I can add as much as I want it to. So I did last night. I followed the wife's orders. So I know I was I was playing by the rules. But it does. There's no doubt about it with with what you

know, we understood the possibility of what Miami had returning in the editions they made with Dairy and Mensa and Cooper Barcai obviously Malachi Tony and March Flush. I mean Miami is put together and doing great things. There's no doubt about it. The wonder was what John Someral would do at Florida and you know, he obviously won the off season with a lot of the things he said and did and now they're winning on the field and that would over all miss. I thought Florida would be all miss with with the emotional build up for the rebels in that LSU game. And obviously, Griffin Stadium is just a tough place to play when UF is is moving and Florida's got momentum right now and they've got one of the great players in college football and Jaden by and certainly they've got one of the great offensive coordinators and Buster Faulkner as well. So there's no question seen both Miami and Florida having the success they have and some projecting both of these teams to be in the college football playoff along with just sort of the uneasiness of what this season could be

for Florida state. Yeah, there's no doubt. It adds it adds salt to that wound to make it stay a little bit more. We want to circle back to the matchup one more time before we cut you loose against Virginia on Saturday. If Virginia dominates this game, if it's an ugly one for Florida state, we know what Florida state does well. So I'm asking this from the other perspective, what does Virginia do well that could cause some very real problems for Florida state on Saturday? Well, there are two things that come to mind right away and that's their experienced offensive line left to right. They're the oldest offensive line. This is the oldest college football team in the country with the roster management and the way it's put together. Virginia has 31 players that are in their fifth year or more in college football and UVA's offensive line average age across the board is 23.6 years old to compare the Dallas Cowboys are just over 25 years old up front

along their offensive line. So UVA has got experience. They've got physicality. They want to run the football nearly 200 yards of game on the ground and then got a dual threat guy and both for viola who we all know how dual threat quarterbacks can cause issues for opposing defenses. On the other side, Virginia has done a nice job. Now I would say with some of the teams, they play two of the four teams, they play, they play Norfolk state out of the FCS. They also played a Delaware team who was a young FBS group of six program. Here this season, an NC state has not turned out to be what we thought they possibly could be with CJ Bailey at quarterback this season, but their defense has been very good in disrupting across the board. They've taken the football away seven takeaways on the season and they're the top passing defense team in the ACC. So physicality up front, which means Florida state's defensive front has to be

staunch. They have to be elite. They have to be disruptive and slowing down a dual threat quarterback and then Ashton Daniels has to be decisive with the football. I think with Ashton, he sees everything, but maybe wait the half second before he lets it rip. I would tell Ashton Daniels, let it rip, maybe let it fly. You've got some of the best wide receivers in college football. Trust your eyes and go out and let's attack that Virginia defense down the field as Florida state has one of the best passing big game offenses in the country. Fifth best with 11 passes of over 30 plus yards this year. What was that nugget again? Virginia's got the old. Do you say the oldest roster or the oldest offensive line? Both. They have the oldest roster in college football with 31 players that are fifth year or more in the country and they're on the roster and their offensive line is also the oldest. From left to right boys, they go fifth year, sixth year, seventh year, sixth year, and seventh year

on the offensive line. It's wild. That's how they put it together. Obviously, they've had a few waivers here and there that have been cast in. So that is going to be an area of the game to watch along the line of scrimmage for sure. Jeff Colhane always dropping the knowledge on us. We always appreciate it. Jeffrey will talk to you next week. Thank you so much. Thank you, fellas. Always great talking to you. Appreciate you having me up. That's awesome. Jeff Colhane always delivers me something that I then use in other endeavors. Yeah, like you at like you researched it. I did research it. I asked the question. Up next to the apology, heard around the city and the interruption that went with it. Next. I'll say it again. I like my second. I'm not going to have a second. I don't mind. Colhane. I don't mind. Oh boy. Game on with Bianchi and Crabitz will be right back after this.

It's on 47.2 on the free TV. If you just have an antenna, that's how you can watch it. All right. But if you have cable, if you have Xfinity cable channel 216 1188 channel. If you're HD so 216 1188, you can watch our show in its entirety. And they're going to yeah, they're doing a 24 hour sports network in Jacksonville. It's going to have mostly I guess local

and statewide content. So yeah. And our friend Brent Martino that you can see on there as well. Absolutely. Brent. Brent joins us every week to talk about the Jaguar. So we have a little synergy working up in Jacksonville. Unbelievable, Mike. When we started working together, we were in a dingy dim lit tiny studio with me, you and Brian Fritz in the corner of the I heart castle and now look at us. We've gone big time. We're on television in the afternoons. That's right. Three to six PM action sports jacks catches catches. We have some texts. We want to get to yes, yes, we do. Let's see this. This is the same person. This is from the 321. This is the same person that's the palo interview is nonsense. Sugs equals great interview. And I assure you, Mike, if one of us is an idiot, it's not me. I think he's the guy you called an idiot. He didn't know it as four later. He didn't say that palo, the palo interview was terrible. He said he derived from

that interview that the magic are going to stink this year. That's why I said it was idiotic. Yeah. Somebody said, did we discover the real reason why Bianchi takes testosterone treatments? Why because I like my vasectomy and they were impressed with what you had going on. Somebody said, Kravitz, I'm 43. I've been putting off the very thing that you just did. Been in the works for over a year and as much as I want the result of the vasectomy, it freaks me out. Now that you've done it, do you have any advice or what to expect for someone who's going to do it? Yes, they prescribe you a volume that you can take an hour before your surgery. Ask for two, take them both get a driver. There's my advice to you. It's not as bad. It's really not that it's not. I wouldn't say it's not. I wouldn't go as far as to say it's nothing, but it's definitely not as bad as what you're picturing. I'm fine. It was fine. And I'm back to work the next day. It's like you're

not getting castrated. Okay. It's just like a little snip snip. That's it. You'll even feel it. Don't look. Okay. Don't look. It's like when you're going down the roller coaster. Don't look down. More game on after this. Game on with Bianca and crevice. I think they just added that to the release, but the concessions are what

really get you. You go to these games, you pay for the parking and then you get just raked over the calls with concessions. It's like that everywhere. And I love what Atlanta did years ago. And I'm glad that this is catching on across the country. Okay, but here's my question. All right. So I was reading this today. So the discounted concessions, you know, $2 hot dogs. What is it? $3 beers. They're sold in two sections of the arena. All right. So if you're across the arena, are you going to go to your section? Are you going to walk all the way across to get I'm going to walk across the arena to get the cheek beer. If I'm by myself, I'm not walking. If I'm with my family, I'm making the and the arena is not that big. Okay. You can make your way back to your seat. Only a time to spare folks on a do it for us here on Game On.
