Both season baseball is here and the Philly's and Braves are tied up at one piece in the bottom of the third of Game 1 of their best of three in our Wildcard series. Alec Bomet and RBI double in the first Braves answered in the bottom of the second, inning 1-1, playing in the third in Edna Landau, White Sox and Astros coming up at five o'clock Eastern time. Now the Yankees Red Sox will play later on tonight. Yankees star Aaron Judge has been left off of their Wildcard series roster because of his calf strain. Yankees did include Giancarlo Stanton and Trent Grisham on their roster. While the Red Sox included pitcher Gare Crochet

on the Wildcard roster despite not pitching since late April. And the Padres included pitcher Joe Musgrove on their roster as they face the Cubs tonight. Musgrove hasn't pitched in a big league game in two years. Bears had coach Ben Johnson wouldn't say today who would start at quarterback in week four. Case Kingdom led him to a win against the Eagles last night. New York Giants released Wild receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and it's the opening night of the NHL's regular season. I'm Dan Bye. And now I Heart Radio presents the premiere after the sports show in the state of Florida. Well you want to crown them? To crown them? They are who we thought they were. Game on with Mike Bianchi and Brandon Kremitz. Happy Tuesday everybody and welcome to the Sunshine States only true sports talk radio show where we focus on the teams and the topics. Important to you the sports band in Florida we are.

That man right over there is not Krabbit's branding Krabbit's because branding Krabbit's. He's off on top secret assignment. He will reveal. You can hit us up on the mills there. Text line that's five oh eight five seven or if you have some cajonays you can step into the rage case. We may have a prize. We don't know exactly what that prize is but we will have a prize if you step into the rage cage and give us something give us some content. Give us something entertaining, funny, clever, anything you want to rant about, rave about. So just do it. Just do it. All right. We're going to have a text slash rage cage topic coming up later in the show so we'll give you something to talk about there. Right now, Brian, what do you say we get to some highlights

in the headline? Let's do it. Wow. Wow. I never thought I would be saying this but I don't know. Case Keedham was unbelievable last night. The old reliable case Keedham, the Bears third string quarterback passed for two touchdowns actually ran for another touchdown in his first start in almost three years in the Bears. Shut down Jalen Hertz and the Philadelphia Eagles for a 27 to seven victory a Monday night football last night. Brian, give me some case Keedham. A throw by Keedham over the middle line open. Raymond 20, 15, 10 running away from the pack to the end zone touchdown Bears. Cully Raymond 41 yard catch and run. Just get it away and Keedham

is in touchdown Chicago. What a night. Oh, what a night late September back in 63 little Frankie Valley for you. Uh, case Keedham is probably old enough to have heard some Frankie Valley back in the day. Wow. Caleb Williams was on the sideline with the right hamstring injury. Who's the backup? Tyson Bajit. Is that how you say his name? Yeah. And then he got heard as well. He got heard. He did clear concussion protocol by the way, but case Keedham started and Philadelphia helped them out. They turned them all over three times, failed to record a takeaway for the third consecutive game to begin the season. Jalen Hertz, my fantasy quarterback, not good. 16 to 2553 yards, Sequan Barclay was running the ball well. He had 82 yards on 15 carries, but they fell behind

and didn't need they had them throw the ball. So here's my hot take. In fact, let's get back to case Keedham real quick. True or false, right? There are a handful of journeyman backup quarterbacks on NFL rosters who can perform as well, if not better than some of the starters in the league. I get I give you true. Probably. Yeah. I know because I don't know. I wouldn't say case Keedham is better than anybody. Anybody starting in the NFL right now. No. I know. Who would you say? Let me just give you a couple of others examples that I mentioned before the show Marcus Marriota comes in leads the cut the hapless commanders to their first victory of the season accounts for three touchdowns drew lock to Crabbit says is just as good as Sam Darnell. These these guys might be as good as starters on other rosters. I'm sorry. They could drew lock you as the only example where I could

be like, okay, he could be better than some starters in the NFL. I think the things with these backups is they have nothing to lose. Why not just go out there and try to sling the football. Well, here's the other thing with backups who've been in the league a long time. All right. They know what to do with the football. They know where to go with the case Keedham has been in the league for 15 years. He when he when he when he got I mean, you can see it last night. He goes back. He goes through his progressions. Some of these young quarterbacks who people try to force into the line up. They don't know where to go with the ball. Hell, case Keedham looks better than Drew. A Drake May right now. He has more touchdowns than Drake May. You're not wrong. You're completely right. The Giants should have traded for case Keedham, not JJ McCarthy. Yeah. I mean, good Lord. Some of these old quarterbacks cut the Sean Watson. We rode him off. Yeah. So I don't know. I don't very interesting. Let's get to a baseball. We got the baseball playoffs starting right in

fact, have you seen the score of the Braves game yet? I have not. Yeah. That's probably turning the Phillies play Phillies play in the Braves. That started at two o'clock. See if you can get a score to that game while you're doing that, Aaron Judge will not play for the Yankees in the Americanly Wildcard series against the Red Sox. But Giancarlo Stan, another injured slugger who hasn't played in over five months. He will be included on the Yankees roster for this best of three series. Judge was left off New York's 26th band roster submitted today after attempting to convince Yankees officials that his cap injury was healed enough for the start of the post season. The Yankees said, uh, uh, uh, uh, they said to the three time league MVP, you're not playing. You strange your calf muscle on September 16, which was the only his seventh game back with the Yankees after missing more than three months with a fractured rib. So

Aaron Judge wanted to play in the Yankees said, no, you're not playing in the in the Wildcard series. Now if they make it through this series, maybe he'll play after that. True or false, Judge wanting to play in the Yankees refusing to let him might be the smartest decision the organization has made all year. Oh, absolutely true. I mean, why play him if you know, there's not the chances of you advancing to the next round are very high. Why play your best player when he's struggled with injuries this past year? Let let him rest. This is the best decision they've made. Absolutely. Uh, top of the fourth for the Phillies and Braves, by the way, Tide 1 1. The Yankees are smart to protect Aaron Judge from himself. Really? Because you know, these guys want to play. You know, they want to play. Hell, uh, the magic should have protected Franz Wagner from himself when he went when he went to Germany and wanted to play. Remember? Yeah, no, absolutely. Then he injured himself again. So yeah, uh, Yankees are smart to not let Aaron Judge play.

True or false prime time when you get off the show tonight, all right? We've got four base four wild card series today. You got the Phillies at the Braves, which is underway. You got the white socks at the Astros with starts at five red socks at the Yankees and eight cubs at the pod. Dres at 10. True or false, when you get off the show tonight, you will go home and spend the entire night watching baseball. Completely false. I will not spend my whole night watching baseball, but I will watch some of it. And I probably will make a bet. So therefore I will have to watch some of it. True or false, you've never sat down and watched an entire baseball. No, uh, no, not on TV. I've been to baseball games, but you've never watched an entire baseball game. I'm getting it. No, no, not sitting down on a couch. I have not, no. That's amazing. That's, that's the difference between the youth of America and old guys like me. I like, I don't watch baseball much anymore. But when I was a kid, man, I, I was so in the

baseball had the baseball cards had had the lineups of my favorite team, the old Dodgers memorized. And we would want, yeah, we would watch baseball. I mean, they would have the NBC game of the week, started at one o'clock, Saturday afternoon. We would, that was like a point, Mac TV for us. We'd sit there and watch the entire game. No, no, no, never had any of that type of experience. The only, the closest thing I've had is I played the MLB games growing up. That's about it. Breaking news, by the way, the New York Giants are releasing Odell Beckham Jr. True or false. This should be the last time we hear anything about Odell Beckham Jr. playing in the NFL. True. It breaks my heart. I don't understand why the Giants even brought him in in the first place. I understand it was headlines and everything like that. Three weeks, three weeks into the season, one reception, zero yards. Why is he still in the news? I mean, he hasn't been relevant in,

what, five years? He was just five years. He's just one of those athletes for when he was in his prime. He took over the whole sports world growing up. Everybody wanted to be Odell Beckham Jr. My, everybody. The only reason he took over the whole sport is because he played in New York. It made that one great catch. Absolutely, but that's what did it for him. I mean, he signed a huge Nike deal. I mean, when, when people watch Browns games when he got traded to the Browns, I mean, he did, he did viewership numbers. Remember when he played, he played for the dolphins last year. I was I was track. All right, those are your highlights and headlines. Straight ahead. It passed the Senate. The Protect College Sports Act passed the Senate. But why are Florida state and you're Miami Hurricanes against it, Prime time? We'll answer that next. Come on, Bianchi and Crabbits will be right back after this.

So it's been a couple months now. But Ziggler Air conditioning came out to my new home to replace an evaporator coil on my AC. And if you've ever had to replace an evaporator coil on your AC, you know, it's not exactly inexpensive. All right. The question is, why did it need replacing? My AC unit was only, it's only five years old. They usually last 15, 20 years sometimes.

Simple. The reason it needed replacing the previous owner hadn't properly maintained the system. That's the thing about AC's. They don't usually fail overnight. Many major repairs start as small issues that could have been caught early through routine maintenance. That's why I recommend Ziggler Air is preventive maintenance program. They come to my place twice a year twice a year. And their technician service my system. They clean the drain lines. They change the filters. They lubricate the moving parts. They take things apart and put them back together. They don't just come with a little clipboard and check things off. No, they are looking for potential problems. Think about this way. You wouldn't skip maintenance on your car and expect it to last forever. Why would you do that with one of the most expensive and important systems in your home? Give Ziggler Air a call today. 407 2458765 407 2458765. Tell them the bulldog sent you Ziggler Air conditioning.

Don't ever lose your cool. Traffic still backed up. Welcome back to the premiere afternoon sports show in the state of Florida. Game on with Mike Bianchi and Brandon Kravitz. On this vote, Gays are 77. The Nays are 22. The bill as amended has passed. Under the previous order, the motions to reconsider are considered made and laid upon the table. There you have it. As you heard on the floor of the Senate yesterday, the federal bill aimed at reshaping the college sports industry took a major step forward, not becoming law as some people have said. But sending it to the House of Representatives where they will have to vote on it. For it to become law. There was a lot of confusion yesterday on this prime time.

There are a lot of people who think that, hey, it passed the Senate. So therefore, boom, we've got new rules in college athletics. College football has been saved. No, not yet. Not yet. Um, here's Nick Sabin, who has been a strong advocate. Probably the strongest voice for this bill. Here's him on ESPN this morning. I want players to make money. I want players to have their own name and their likeness. But there's not any business in the world that can function without a budget and some guidelines. If you ask an NFL owner, what would you do if all your players were free agents every year? Oh, we couldn't, we couldn't operate. What would you do if you didn't have a salary cap? Oh, we couldn't operate. We'd go broke. Well, what's going to happen in college sports is you're going to either take money from the academic side to support athletics because we're in a runaway, you know, financial situation or you're going to drop other Olympic sports and non-revenue sports that are very important to creating opportunities for young people.

So this is going to put some parameters on that so that we don't have to take money from academics. We can still provide opportunities for Olympic and women sports, which I think is one of the most important things this does. And we still pay players and they still have authentic name imaging like I just think this gives us some guidelines so that we can have some rules and regulations that will actually enhance players opportunities to be more successful. So that's Nick Saban this morning. He, he and many others want this build a pass. I certainly want this build a pass. I just have questions whether it is going to pass there. Again, there seems to be a feeling like, oh, it passed the Senate. Therefore, the house will rubber stamp it. No, no. When they go to the house, it's going to face a lot more opposition from both sides of the political spectrum. And there is a narrow, narrow window to get this build passed. So the house is not scheduled to

vote on any bills, crime time, until after November's midterm election. All right. So they're not even going to vote on anything until after the midterms. That is what is that almost two months away. They're not going to vote on anything. All right. And then if the bill does it get through the house during that, that little window there talking about from after the midterms until a new Congress takes over in January, then it has to start all over again. Then it has to go back to the Senate and go through that process again. So this is a long, long way from passing. But again, I hope it passes. I just have my doubts. I really do. I mean, when you look at what's going on politically in this country, to think this is going to pass like that is, is I think it's a it's a stretch of

reality. Oh, yeah, absolutely. I mean, I think every college football fan wants this build to be passed through the house and everything. But realistically, I think it's about a 50 50 chance. And if it does get passed, this doesn't change college football for what the next two years, like this won't get implemented instantly. Well, yeah, it'll be implemented with it. Yeah, about a year, a year and a half. But here's the reason why I mean, we can't even get like, like even the schools in the state of Florida, that there was opposition in the state of Florida to this bill in the Senate. In fact, prime time, your school, your team, the University of Miami, along with Florida state, they didn't want this build a pass. They did not want this build a pass. In fact, both Florida senators, Rick Scott and Ashley Moody originally voted against this act. Ashley Moody actually changed her vote yesterday and voted for it. But Rick Scott, he continues to oppose it in the

opposition is to protect against conference alignment flexibility of Florida state in Miami. A key provision in this legislation penalizes schools that jump from one power conference to another by forcing them to compete as an independent for three years. It also caps conference memberships at 20 schools. So because the FSU in Miami have visions of getting out of the ACC, they don't want any of this. They don't want any of this. Oh, there's restrictions. If you leave conferences, they don't want that. So in other words, I love that FSU in Miami want all of this stability and college athletics. Unless it comes unless it's, you know, affects them in their ability to jump to a new conference, right? Yeah, stability everywhere, everywhere else, but they want flexibility when it comes to jumping to a new car. Well, yeah, I mean, they've also been held hostage in the ACC for a while now. So I don't believe it. They not signed that agreement.

They did. They absolutely did. But the ACC, I don't, I don't know. It's just, it's cupcakes. It doesn't look good for you. This probably isn't what they imagined it. They probably thought Clemson would continue to be a powerhouse forever. And that's just everything's falling off in the ACC. Why stay on to that boat? Here's another thing. Here's a, here's one thing I don't like about this bill. Again, I'm for this protect college sports act. I hope it passes the house. But they, the Senate voted 52 to 47 against an amendment that would have cat how much money coaches can earn from their schools at $5 million per year. It restricted. It was also going to restrict how often they could change jobs. All right. So the Senate voted against capping coaching salaries and against coaches being able to jump from one job to, to the other. And as one of the senators said, if the bill supporters believe these rules are necessary for athletes, they should be

willing to apply them to the coaches as well. I agree. I agree. If you're going to say, hey, athletes, there's a $50 million cap on how much schools can pay their entire pool of athletes, that there should be a cap on how much they can pay the coaches. Absolutely. No, absolutely. I mean, if you're going to put a cap on the players, you got to put a cap on the coaches. And I think, yeah, and Lane Kiffon kind of destroyed the whole leaving school things. I guarantee you, that was the sole reason they're like, all right, we can't have this whole debacle again. Yeah, but they they they wipe that out of the bill. They wipe that out of the bill because the coaches didn't get coaches lobbied against it. It doesn't make sense to me. It goes back to your flexibility with Miami and for to say, if it doesn't, you know, work with them, they don't want it. Yeah. We want stability in less than effects our pocketbooks, in less than effects, what we can do. Yeah, they did these schools, these coaches, they need to stop telling everyone, this is about saving

college sports, right? It's about saving the parts of college sports that benefit them or you, or whoever, your school, your state. So hopefully this passes, even though I don't like some of the amendments in it, I hope it passes to have some sort of stability in guardrails as Nick Sabin likes to say in college sports. Straight ahead, we have our motivational quote, our text slash talk back question, and it has to do with national coffee day. We'll talk about that next. Daymond would be on the end. Crabbits will be right back after this. From our text line, 50857, I don't want the government involved. They eff up enough and should have other things to do. Yeah, I would preach. I would normally say that. Yeah, but college football has been effed up for so long that they can't. College football is the only built multi-billion dollar industry that is asking the government to get. Can you imagine like an AI company, like Nvidia or Micron said, hey, government, can you come help us regulate our business? No. No. How bad does football has been, man? Yeah, successful businesses don't want the government

interfering with their business, but college football can't. They need the government to protect itself from itself. College football officials need the government to protect themselves from themselves because they can't do anything because they're all too selfish. They're all worried about their particular school, their particular conference that nobody's overseeing the good of college football. That's why in this particular case, I'm for the government getting involved. And let's face it, a lot of these schools we're talking about, the University of Florida, Florida State, not Miami, they're private, but most of these schools in the NCAA are public institutions, government funded. So in that respect, I guess it's okay for the government to get involved. Somebody else texted in, Biaki, you want to regulate all this crap, you're talking about the coaches, money being regulated, where they can go, where what conference the school can go to,

it's ridiculous. Then he just goes on that you don't want to restrict coaches in schools. I responded to his text, by the way, I said, I said, oh, so you want to restrict what athletes can do, you just don't want to restrict what the coaches in the university themselves can do. Okay, that's fair. That's fair. It should be like a relationship. It should be like a 50-50, it works for me, it works for you. It's like a marriage almost. If you're going to regulate, then regulate, all right? If you're going to regulate how much, how many times athletes can transfer, then why can't you regulate when coaches can leave their schools? I mean, these are coaches at, again, public institutions who have contracts, why can't you regulate them? Why can't you regulate when schools can leave conferences? They sign these grant of rights contracts, and then they try to get out of them. So don't give me that.

If you're going to restrict players, coaches should be restricted as well, in my opinion. I mean, let's say, what, what the players are amateurs? No, they're not. They're getting paid, they're professionals. So don't give me that. Coaches are professionals, players are professionals. All right. Our motivational quote of the day, it is national coffee day. I love coffee. I drink coffee when I get up about, I get up at 4.30 every morning. Always. First thing I do, make a cup of coffee. Then I drink a couple cups of coffee in the morning, and then right before the show starts, about 2.30. I'll make a cup of coffee to get myself rejuvenated again. So I love coffee. Are you a coffee guy? Yeah, I just showed my coffee to the stream. Well, I'm kind of weird though. I'm more of like an energy drink kind of guy. So I go from coffee to a monster. Okay. Okay. The only thing I

like energy drinks for is the mix into my vodka, like vodka, red bull. That's my favorite. I mean, I can get down with that one too. Don't worry. All right. Here's the motivational quote of the day, and it comes from Howard Schultz, the founder of Starbucks quote, I was taken by the power that savoring a simple cup of coffee can have to connect people and create community. I was taken by the power that savoring a simple cup of coffee can have to connect people and create community. End quote. It's true. It's true. If you, I used to, when I was in college, I worked construction part time. And we would have to be there like at 7 o'clock in the morning at the construction job. So I would always stop by this donut shop on the way. All right. It was a donut shop that had a counter. And there would be early birds there, guys who work construction. And they would be

sitting at this counter at Mr. Donut, wasn't there, but not Dunkin Donut, Mr. Donut. And they would be drinking their coffee, talking about, you know, sports that happened last night. It was sort of like being at a sports bar at 7 o'clock in the morning. It was, it was, it's awesome. So coffee does sort of bring people together. Here's our text slash talk back question. All right. When most people think of coffee now, they think of Starbucks, the, the, the, the, the things you love about Starbucks and the things you hate about Starbucks. All right. That's the text question. What we love to hate. Yeah. What you love and hate about Starbucks. I'll just give you a sample of one of the things I absolutely hate. All right. First of all, I hate what they call their drink sizes like Vinti, you know, tall means small. I mean, what is that? Yeah, it's stupid. Just how about small

meeting them in large? How about that? Okay. Make it very simple. Here's the other thing I hate I hate when people come in the Starbucks and they'll order like a, you know, one of these frappuccinos with with whipped cream and cherries and all sorts of stuff in it. All right. And then they'll I used to have a friend like this. He goes, I'm going to go get a coffee. All right. And he would come back with this with this frappuccino thing that looked like a hot-fudge Sunday. I'm like, why don't you just go to Arby's and get a milkshake? It's cheaper. It's essentially what it is. It's like it's a milkshake with a little bit of coffee in there. It's just a milkshake. It's a milkshake. It's like, don't call it a coffee. Call it a milkshake. Don't call it an energy bar. Call it a candy bar because that's what it is. It's filled with sugar and chocolate. Chocolate. If you have chocolate chips in it, it's a candy bar, not an energy bar. If you have whipped cream in it,

it's a milkshake. Not a coffee. I agree. One thing I do love about Starbucks though. Well, that food, a ham and Swiss on a baguette, grilled cheese. It's just something different about Starbucks. I thought the promos we got last year were sort of generic and boring. So just a little bit. Yeah. So we kind of I wrote some promos out. I hope they asked the magic players to read those promos. I hope they did too. I love our magic guys, but there's a lot of them I didn't use when making those intros because boy, were they something. I'm trying to think of the one we had for Anthony black. I gave him one. Uh, I think it was something like, Hey, this is Anthony black of the Orlando magic. I have the biggest head of hair in Orlando. Crab it's in Bianchi. Have the baldest head hair. Oh, yeah. That's cash money. It's all about delivery though. So let's see how the the blah blah comes in. I don't know about the delivery. I gave them the content. The delivery is up to them. That's fair. That's fair. Somebody asked on our text on do you have an update on Denzel Aberdeen? In fact, we do Denzel Aberdeen. Of course, the Florida basketball player, the guard

from Dr. Phillips high school, he transferred into Florida. Actually, he started at Florida. Then he transferred to Kentucky. Got his NIL money from Kentucky. Then he transferred back to Florida for this season, but he was ineligible to play because of the five and five rule. All right. He wasn't able to get his fifth year of eligibility. Well, guess what? Tell me what you think happened today, prime time. He went before a judge in Gainesville. All right. And to get a, a temporary injunction, what do you think the judge ruled? Oh, he's like, Oh, absolutely. You can come back fifth year for sure. I don't know what the judge's name was. I think the judge's name was the like Al E Gator. Okay. Al E Gator. That's who I think the judge was. Actually, the judge's name was George Wright. He granted Aberdeens request and he will now be eligible to play for the Gators

basketball team, who will probably be the preseason number one ranked team in the country. Why wouldn't they be? Yeah. You'll get the old local judge. Get that local judge. That's why we need the federal government to step in. Okay. That's why we need the Protect Florida Sports Act. So every local judge can't just rule their players eligible. All right. Straight ahead, our Jags insider, getting ready to join us to talk about the big victory over the Patriots and going to Cincinnati this weekend. Fire is this one toward the goal line and that one is. Oh my goodness. Come on. Who the touchdown? What a catch by Parker was he did. How in the world been he catches? Oh yeah. Parker washington getting it's done. Let's bring in our Jags insider. The great Brent Martin sports director of action sports. Jax up in the bold new city. Parker washington is unbelievable. Amazing touchdown catch Brent. I'm not saying Parker washington

is Jackson Smith in jigba. But don't we need to start talking about him like he's one of the best receivers in the league? Well, I think it's a surprise you probably but uh, is it Parker washington has more receiving yards this season than Jamar Chase? I'm not sure what category we're supposed to put him in. I don't think anybody's saying he's better than those guys. Yes, he had but he is the number one receiver for the Jags keeps making plays. Yeah, that play was terrific. I mean, he totally back just at the back of the football when I was able to pull it in before he hit the ground. But I think it was a play earlier in that game. Third series. Jack's hadn't done much on the first two series. It's about a third and eight, I think and Trevor found Parker over the middle for 18 yards and that got their offense going and the point of that is it doesn't matter if you need to touchdowns. It doesn't matter if you need to make third down play music. Nightly offense. It feels like Parker's the guy and uh, he did it again and the price keeps going up for Parker washington. Speaking to receivers, uh, the Jags scored

35 on the Patriots Brian Thomas Jr. One target. Um, where where is he fitting in now? Yeah, he's not fitting in. Uh, 23 snaps is probably the bigger number. Like the, you know, that's the same as Josh Cameron, the six brown rookie out of Baylor. He's both had 23 snaps. That's that's pretty eye popping and I obviously there's a little bit of a lack of trust right now that Jags are big believers that you have to earn it in practice and so we don't know exactly how he's playing in practice, but he had a rough game last week in Denver with a very critical drop and another easy one that he dropped. And so I think the Jags right now are saying, hey, you've got to get to earn it back and we've got depth here. We have we have guys making plays. But what I continue to say is unless he moves to some other place via trade, I think everybody in Jacksonville should be rooting very hard for Brian Thomas Jr. I think they're angry at him quite a bit. They should root very hard because if you want to fully

untapped his offense here in Jacksonville, he needs to be a part of it. He needs to be good in it because he gets that deep threat and that speed. It's just so fast. It's a tough matchup for so me. So if you can get the long ball, I mean, they just scored 35 points and they never threw the ball over 20 yards last week. So he gives you that, but he'd make him off the field and now teams have to defend that. So I think everyone should be rooting here in Jacksonville and probably on your fantasy team for Brian Thomas Jr. to find it and find it soon. Okay, I don't want to overreact to the blowout of the Patriots because the Patriots have been struggling offensively, but when you look at the Jaguars, could an argument be made that the way their offense is playing, the way their defense is playing, they could be considered maybe the most complete team in the league? I think you can make the argument. You could start to have it. I think other teams would be up there. You would say Seattle before Donald. Now,

obviously came back and they lose. The Rams have not looked fantastic, right? The Chiefs are a bit more surprising than we thought they'd be and the way Kenneth Walker's run in the football that really makes them complete on top of the home's Kelsey Reed and Chris Jones on defense and the others. So yeah, I think they answer your question. Yes, I don't want to home a rep on that kind of storyline, but I think I go back to this Mike. I think I go back to last year. And this is what I firmly believe. If the Jaguars beat the Buffalo Bills, I think they're in the Super Bowl. I think they were the best team playing. They ran into Josh Allen at a supreme level. And they really, in two of the three games this year, they have looked like that team. And so I think that makes them puts them in that conversation. I think people around the league are certain to believe it, but you've got a big three game test right here to show it. You have to go up to Cincinnati and get Trevor Lawrence play better than Joe Borough. Can the Jags offensive line handle extra Lawrence? Can the Jags secondary be opportunistic against these two guys and T Higgins and Jamar Chase? Are you going to have a chance to prove it? And it's very early. You don't want

to peak too early in the NFL either. You want to stay healthy and keep going or two out of these three games. Speaking of Trevor Lawrence, what happened on prime time? Do you have to play? What happened on this play? Brompton, you there? I guess, I guess, prompt times checked out. Trevor rolls to the left. This is a straight quarterback run. I don't like that. I'm still on his feet inside the five. And he took a knee at the one yard line. He did not run it in. Trevor Lawrence could run it into the end zone. But he took a knee at the one yard line to keep the clock running. How about that? Okay. He said he was trying to get basal toot in some fantasy points. But what do you think really happened? Well, he also explained a little bit deeper that they were in a four minute offense. And so they're rules in the four minute offense are to kill as much clock. But he got so wrapped up in the idea that they were in the four minute offense. He looked up at the clock. Like, oh, wait, there's eight minutes to go. So I think it's just one of

those brain blank moments, right? That that Trevor has. And you know, I think you traded for some of the throws that he's been making and how he's been playing. And it comes at least in a blowout win. But yeah, that was pretty wild. And it's crazy to me, though. He played a really good football game on a lot of levels. See, you're not going to look up and say, wow, 380 yards. It was 182 yards. But the throws that he's making in the red zone, the plays that he's making, the things that he did to not make mistakes throughout that game for the most part. And against the Super Bowl runner rubs. And the first question he gets in the podium after the after the game is, so why did you go down on the one yard line? In the one we live in, but he really has played terrific football going all the way back to last year. And he is playing with confidence. If you watch that that game, you're really just looking at two quarterbacks, one playing with confidence, one that's not. One that looks a little shook. And like we know what that looks like around here in Jacksonville. I've seen that before. Drake May looks shook right now. And he's going to find his confidence back.

Yeah. And Jacksonville's running game suddenly starting to look a little bit nasty. Has Liam Cohen found the formula where Trevor Lawrence, he just mentioned the he threw for 180 yards where Trevor Lawrence doesn't need the throw for 300 yards for this offense to dominate. I think the run game really untapped a lot of that. And if they can continue to do that, they're going to win a lot of football games. And heck Trevor might be an MVP conversation because of his numbers. So facial toot looks good. I think facial toot has answered the bell. All those questions about HN not being here right now steady climb. I think he just keeps getting better and better. And he's showing you some of the speed. The outside runs have been good. The tougher runs good. I really like what I saw from Chris Rodriguez the other day. It's not going to allow you in the box score. But the runs the way they looked. He had a nine-year-old run where he took a Patriots defender, the final four of them just lowered his head. And I think that's exactly what the Jags want to be. That physical nature. And I think that's why they brought him here. It was a third and one that was an easy to yard game. Those are the kind of plays Rodriguez has. And one other note on the run game

where the offensive line had a nice day. But a man you know, Greg continues to just paying people. I think this is a hell of a find for the Jaguars in the third round. And fans thought so during the draft. But he has arrived way earlier than I think anyone expected. He looks good at left guard. Talking to Brent Martin. No, he's our Jags insider. The sports director at Action Sports, Jags right here on game on. All right, Travis Hunter finally gets his first NFL interception. Played his biggest defensive workload yet. What did you see from him? What was he talking about after the game? Yeah, I think there were some things where Travis still could fix and get a little bit ahead of that. But I think there were other plays in that game other than the interception. I think it's talent really showed up and made Drake may think and overthrow a couple of balls. And then the picture is a really nice play on the ball. That's what you expect. Bad throw obviously by Drake May, but he turns around right in time. It was a huge moment. It's 14 to three. Patriots going in right before the half. So I think and talked to a lot of players in the locker room after the

game on Sunday that I think he needed that. I think when you come in with this much attention and all the things he's trying to do and the Jags are having him do, he hasn't touched down now from last year against the Rams, but that was in a blowout win kind of in garbage time. This really in a big football game. I think that could go a long way for him. Okay, he's already got swagger. I don't think he needs any more of that, but I think it goes a long way. And he didn't even have to play a much in the fourth order because of the nature of the score. I think he would have played around 60 snaps or so in that game. And that's more like it. No doubt. They played him more than they had in the previous two weeks. And I think that will keep up once again on Sunday and Cincinnati. Interesting matchup now, especially on the defensive side. Will he match up with Jamar Chase? Or will he just play his side and it'll get both of those guys as they switch Higgins and Chase. If the Jags can go into Cincinnati and win to get them three and one, what's the conversation you're going to be having Monday? Well, I think the conversation, depending on how it looks, might be, wait, where's Trevor Lawrence compared to Joe Borough? Right? Right. Trevor Lawrence, right? I'm getting a lot of attention. Trevor Lawrence, top five MVP candidate last year. Trevor Lawrence, pretty good start. If he can go outplay Joe Borough and they win, maybe it's a shootout who knows, I think then the conversation even ramps that up more because Borough is widely considered an elite quarterback.

I think we're still hesitant at times to put that word in front of Trevor Lawrence, although it's getting closer and closer. So I think that would be the headline. And the next three games if the Jags could win two of these, I think would be massive to be four and two at the buy. So you get Philadelphia and Houston and London, both of those games look more jettable than they might have a few weeks ago. Since the United is going to be tough on the road, Jags have one in Cincinnati against the Cincinnati Bengals since 2019. They've actually lost eight of their last 10 against the Bengals. By the way, what's going on with the Texans O and three? Yeah, strange. Now they play two good football teams at the outset of the year at home. But last week you figure, how you get on track. O and three, two years in a row, they might have a tough time digging out of a hole. I might think that Dallas, as we can Dallas is goofy in their own right, but the Dallas is very capable. This isn't an easy game for Houston. So it's not like a get right game against Miami. They could easily be looking at O and four and three of those losses would be at home. Brent Martin,

Welcome back to game on Nick Vouchovich has returned to the Orlando Magic and he is here with us on Magic Media Day. Vouches, it feels as surreal to you as it feels to us to be sitting here again having this conversation. Yeah, it's been a while since we've done this five six years or something. Yeah, so yeah, definitely. But I mean, it's been great to see you know, a lot of familiar faces, a lot of people I've seen before obviously doing this. So it's been very exciting to do that. Did you keep your place here?

I did, actually, I did. Did you come here during the off season? Yeah, last two years on as much because my kids started school full time before they had my wife, used to come quite a bit. I would come here for all star. And then a couple of times like when my third one was born because my wife wanted to have the baby here with the same doctor and everything. He was born in June, so we're here for most of summer. Everybody remembers when you left and you had your first press conference in Chicago and you teared up when you were talking about Orlando. Just talk about that time when you left and how good it feels to come back. Yeah, it was definitely, you know, obviously, as you guys saw it, after spending nine years here and all the relationship I built in everything, I was definitely a big change. And it took me a little bit to adjust to it. But, you know, it's I think it was, I think it was the probably the right moment to do it for the franchise info myself. And I think, you know, the franchise I will see from that trade got some, you know, obviously they got friends and

they're able to get in the Paulo next year and then in the first pick. So it helped their franchise and it went in for me. You know, I think I had an opportunity to go play for a team that was trying to win in that moment, which is something I wanted. So it worked out, but no, still difficult to change after so many years. And yeah, I'm excited to be back now. Now you're back to helping win a championship. Hopefully, yeah, that's the idea. But yeah, I think those wanted things for me is going into free agency. At this time, my career was to go out of team that has a chance to win that something I haven't really had a chance to experience too much in my career. And that's something I really wanted. And, you know, when the opportunity came for Orlando, looking at this team that have the new coaching staff, the goals that they have to me was, a good opportunity to come back here and hopefully help with that. And so yeah, I had some other

offers. Some there were more lucrative as well. It's just that the team, the teams weren't, you know, didn't just didn't have the same, they weren't the same situations. And so for me, it was, you know, when I put that and obviously everything else really, it's Orlando's easy decision. You don't want to tell us how much money you turned down the company. No, I keep that to myself, but it wasn't obviously I've been looking at my career to make, you know, get them on money and, you know, I'm pretty set for life. So it wasn't something that would change my life, you know, but having a chance to win here and you know, when they obviously will be a huge achievement. The team is in such a different place now than the last time you were here. You guys were perennial eight seed trying to make a little bit of noise in round one. And now this is the team that feels like if everything goes right, it could be as good as anybody else in a loaded Eastern conference. What do you see when you walk back into the building that feels different,

whether it's a vibe in the locker room or the pressure to be competitive? How different is it from the last time you were here? Yeah, we know we have a really like practice or played much, it's hard to get that feel, but I can definitely tell that the guys are motivated to take the next step and you know, they really want to win big here. And I think that we have a chance, but the team we have, the players we have, the coaches, the time we have, but I think the approach is different when you know you have that talent. And so, you know, I'm excited to see how it all works out once we start came, once we start playing, how it all goes out, especially next two, three weeks before the regular season. Yeah, I mean, just had to be around these guys. I've heard a lot of positive things about the players I've been hearing. So I'm excited to see kind of how they are, how they're working, how to practice, seeing how they're approaches, you know, how to put the games, things all that. I think I was just using those on. I get a better feel for that, but I think there is, you know, there's a lot to be excited about here. And they kept the number nine for you too. Are you surprised that was still

available? No, my, I was told they weren't going to give it to anybody until I come back. I was that's I don't know if anybody asked for it now, but that's what I was told. What have you guys done as far as I mean, I heard you went out and visited. I don't remember which player it was, but what have you guys done team building during the off season? Oh, we had a little mini-camp. Players got together in LA for a couple days. And then just a lot of guys came back here right after Labor Day, you know, we just been able to play just five or five like open runs. We had a couple team vendors, things like that. So yeah, just the regular of trying to, you know, build equipment. I was, you know, a lot of them have been together for a couple of years now. So they know each other really well. But for me, it was just about getting to know the guys, you know, getting familiar with them and things like that. Obviously, a lot of them are much younger than me. So there's that little bit of a gate gap. And yeah, it's been good so far. Very positive. Obviously you played for some intense coaches in your career. What do you hear about coach

Wini? What do you think about him? Like him a lot. I like his approach. I like the way he wants to do things. I like the way he's, you know, he wants this team to play and high a place to use certain guys. Obviously, he has a lot of experience just being, you know, in the NBA for so long coaching. You know, he was just in the finals with the Spurs and coached a really good players. So I think he's a coach that can really help this team and let us have his work for him. Him and I had a lot really good, no positive conversation since, you know, I signed back. And so yeah, I think he can't really help. And his staff as well, they do a really good job, but I think, I know, in all of the individual work with things like that, you can tell they're really well prepared and you know, they want to help us see him. Have you been told what you are? Do you know what your role exactly is going to be? What do you foresee your role as being on this? You know, it's something I've definitely talked about with coach Wini. And so I know what's expected of me and what I need to do. And obviously it'd be different anywhere I was here before, but I knew that and I was ready to

slowly transition into a different world than I've had to pass 14 years. And yeah, I think the things there's still a lot of ways I can help this team. Obviously, on a quarter with my played, my ability to choose play inside out, my experience, my IQ. But I knew also off the court helping the younger guys, the younger players just, you know, lead by example, you know, also, you know, being more vocal, things like that nature. But yeah, it just, it'll be an adjustment for me as well to go to a different role, but something that, you know, I was expecting to happen at some point and just, you know, you see, I go, let's wrap with this. How do you define success for this team this year? It's hard to say, I think for us, it just has, you know, has to start by, you know, tomorrow taking step by steps, slowly, you know, working the right direction, doing the right things, building the right habits, buying into the new system, of course, Swini, everybody buying into their roles, you know, and everybody's sacrificing for the

greater good of the team. So success will be, we'll know that at the end and see how to season unfolds and how we do and then we'll be able to say, you know, what, who was a good year of that? Well, I think I speak for everybody in this town. We're thrilled to have you back. Thanks for coming back. Absolutely. And best of luck this season. Thank you. Thank you. Nobody but nobody knows more about the business of sport, the money of sport than does Mike genetic check out all of his coverage of all the financial issues and sports at spotrank.com. So Mike, I'm watching the game last night in case, Keenum obviously has a big game three touchdowns. He accounts for leads his team to a big victory. I saw Marcus Mario to do the same over the weekend. How much did these long time backup quarterbacks make and how much can a career backup make in his career? Yeah, but Keenum's on a decent deal. He signed about two for six. When you build some incentives into this thing and he's going to make about three million plus

this year. So just to stand there with a clipboard, I think a lot of people would sign up for that. Obviously to come in and play like that not only promotes his status but probably elongates his ability to do this. It's becoming more and more of a stable financial outlook for some of these past or prime players, right? So I think the poster child for this was always chase Daniel who amassed about $42 million and really never became a starting quarterback. Keenum had 60 plus starts. He's made $60 plus million to go with that. So you know, the give and take is pretty good and just to stick around into your late 30s and make two, three million a year. I think a lot of guys are signing up for that stuff. Absolutely. All right. The big news yesterday, the Senate passed the sweeping Protect College Sports Act. It still has to go through the House, which is a big if, whether it gets through the House. But when you when you read some of this legislation, are we finally admitting what everybody else already knows that major college sports are essentially

or major college athletes are essentially professional athletes? Yeah, they're going to have to be real careful with the language. But everything about this says that, you know, they're raining this in at the top level because it got out of control. Obviously, this is an employer situation. And you know, from what I've read and I think the general consensus is this heavily swayed toward the institution, the university, the colleges, you know, the people paying the money versus the people making the money. So there's a long way to go here and you know, this is a necessary step. Every single league goes through this professionally. I guess I'll just admit that goes through this where the ownership sort of takes the first crack at this. Now we've got to see if there's some sort of player organization that steps in and actually takes more of a collective bargaining approach. So if these players still can negotiate, have multi-year contracts, have options, things like that. But this is step one of I think a long, long road for what is the necessary evil for these players that earn the rights? I still I got a kick out. I was reading all the stories

this morning and there was there was a provision in this Senate bill that would have also limited how much coaches could make at five million dollars per year and they took that out. They took that out of the bill. But they so they're essentially restricting what players can make but not the coaches in the universities, right? You know, it's a great point. Yeah, it's funny the best of first thing that got pushed back, right? But they may need their own collective bargaining group themselves because I mean they are I I paid I leveraged situation employees right now. To the end, we talked about that quite a bit. That's not going away. We'll get suppressed because of what's happening here probably, but there's no question that everybody involved here needs their own representation, right? Because they are owners to their own degree and they are employees on their own side as well. It's a funny situation. So we were at me and Kravitz were Orlando Magic Media Day yesterday and we were talking to Jeff Welpman, the president of basketball

operations and he was just lamenting the second apron and how it restricts, you know, what teams can do the magic or write up against it. And I got to thinking is the second apron? Is that is that worse than a hard salary cap? I think it is because what's happening, what we're seeing happen and we've seen this with some other sports as well is you can take your spots when there's the right year to do it. You can blow past that thing, take all the governors off and take your medicine for the next couple of seasons, but hopefully you've won yourself a championship in doing so. So I still think I prefer this approach to the actual hard cannot go over a hard cap situation, but we'll see it's certainly restricted. A lot of the movement in the NBA, it hasn't really limited contracts yet. So I think it's been positive in that regard, but there's certainly a bunch of teams I'm looking at our numbers right now. There's a lot of teams living near that danger zone

heading towards, you know, day one week one here. We'll see if there's some early season movement to make sure that some of those teams stay clear of it as we approach the big Christmas month. Talking to Mike Genetti, editor of spotcrack.com. Mike, so we've got some low payroll teams, the Guardians, the Rays, even the Brewers, all one their divisions this year. They're in the playoff. Does this hurt their argument that baseball needs a salary cap? I don't think so. It's the right question to be having because we're about to sit through six to ten, there may be 14 months of, you know, just complete nonsense, I'm checking for us. But, you know, eight of the top 10 teams got in in terms of tax pay for full. You know, the middle, the middle teams really got squeezed out of this a little bit here. It almost does nothing to pay to the middle in this league right now, unless you're the team like the Brewers that have sort of figured out that sweet spot. And the reason I say I don't think it's a good argument right now is the teams that got in, the Cleveland, the Tampa Bayes, to a certain degree, even

how the white socks have operated over the past couple of seasons. They're just sort of the testament to drafting develop, right? They have built their own foundations, almost their own networking foundations, to do this without any help from anybody else. Now, they're certainly revenue sharing and things benefiting them. But I don't treat them the same way, treat the Pittsburgh pirates or the Colorado rockers or even Minnesota twins who live down their year to year as well and don't have this kind of success. I still think there's a need for a floor. I still think there's a need for some archer, you know, progressions at the top of this thing in terms of the luxury tax. But I'm not going to sit here and say that this absolutely means that major league based ball should have a salary cap in 2027. So first day of the playoffs are today. When the playoffs end, the World Series is over. What's the the the CBA ends December 1st? What's the what happens after the World Series? Where do we go from here? Yeah, normally we'd be talking about option decisions and you know, it's an early for agent movement and maybe some trades and things like

that for certainly some you know, some 40 man roster cleanup work. I have a feeling there's going to be a lot of positive. You'll have some teams protect some players, get them on the 40 man for whatever the heck is coming next. But I have a feeling it's going to be extremely quiet. You know, no extensions agents are going to sit out to see where things had a bless and I'm going to backtrack unless they're all getting wind that financial structure is about to get ripped up and it will be worse in 12 months. If that's the case, maybe we start to see some things personally as an in the final hour or so, but I would expect a lot of quietness and probably a lot of reason to lost in basketball football in November. Remember? Last one for you. So a buddy of mine today, he's a huge Kaitlyn Clark fan, all right? He never even followed the WNBA before. But now he's a big Kaitlyn Clark fan. He sent me this. I want to run this by you to see if it's accurate, all right? I don't know where he got it. He might have got it from you guys, but he says the Indiana fever were worth 90 million dollars

before Kaitlyn Clark arrived. Now they're worth 560 million. He also texted me. Clark generates roughly 26.5% of all WNBA economic activity with games featuring the fever, driving 45% of like, I don't know, sponsorship dollars or whatever. Is that even close to accurate? Yeah, that I've seen a few versions of this number. I think the current number on the fever is about 560, according to some of the Forbes and Sportico sites. And yeah, that's the big all by the way, taking use of every franchise building is the whole as big and a huge step. But it is all sold from the back to Kaitlyn Clark, who did this to Women's College basketball at Hyrule and the transfer and translated immediately to the WNBA. It's why they got into the CVAs. Why? Their minimum salaries quadrupled last season. You know, it's tough to put something so big like this

out of the one human being. And I don't think we have an example of this in any other sport or any relief. But there's no other way to look at it than her popularity. The millions of fans she brought with her to this sport, to this league, as non-idential numbers that we can't even comprehend. And whether it's sustainable is the only other question because here we go, right? We're on year two of this and it's still flying high. So she's the singularly most important athlete in her sport. There's no way to look at her otherwise. And it's no knock on any of the great players. It's just what she has brought with her from an outside influence situation is it's undefeated right now. So how would she compare to like when Tiger arrived on the PGA tour? It's probably the close example we have. And that one was a little bit more of a slow drip, right? Because he was so young. A lot of people didn't really believe it at first. With Caitlin, it was just out of nowhere on Iowa and she became musty-tv almost overnight.

And to certain degrees, she remains that. But it's like she's not nearly the best player in this league. Right. Right. On the floor. Tiger, Tiger, I said, took it to a long, a long way, almost 20 years of musty-tv. Whether she can do this for even a decade remains to be seen. But I think that is the best example we have right now. Turning the hand off the ball. Bound stop right. Broke a tackle. Touchdown Gators. There's nothing there. Nothing. And Jaden Ball made it work. Jaden Ball with the most beautiful two yard run you would ever see in the Gators resounding victory over

Ole Miss in the swamp. Let's go up to Gainesville right now. Talk to our Gators insider. My good friend, my colleague at the Orlando Sentinel Edgertops and you can read about all your Gator coverage at Orlando Sentinel.com and there's rumors and rumblings out there that the swamp thinks podcast is about to make its return. Is that right, Edgar? Yeah, it is. On Thursday, I believe. That's the plan. Let's hope it's it continues to be the plan. Absolutely. Before we get into the Gator football team, big news today, the court approved that Florida basketball guard Denzel Aberdeen, the Dr. Phillips product from right here in central Florida, his request for a temporary injunction after filing a lawsuit against the NCAA earlier this month has been approved. He will get a fifth year of eligibility. Edgar, the judge up in Gainesville,

was that judge Ali Gator? What was the name of the judge that approved this? It was Alberta. No, it was it. Look, he has a strong case. Okay. All right. I know, I know all these guys who who didn't get the fifth year of eligibility have a strong case, right? In his case, particularly though, and I found it more compelling because of some of the potentials of his one, he's untracked to get a degree, two, they had a roster spot. They didn't create one. And the thing I don't understand and look, as I said to Todd, one day we were talking was technically he is an eligible because he did burn his red shirt year by playing even one game. But why do football players get to play four of 12 regular season games or 33% and a guy who plays 12

of 36 games or 33% in basketball is an eligible. It's just, it's a fancy double A, you know, selling that rule. But that was the role he did play and therefore burned his red shirt year. But this 2022 class falls between the cracks to your point because now there's this five for five where you get five years to play five seasons and someone was going to get left behind and that was the 2022 class. But if you go back in history, Mike, 1971, if you were a freshman playing in 1971, by the time the 75 season rolled around, you're probably sitting there going, yeah, which I've been a freshman in 72 when they allowed freshman to play. So that 75 year, if you played in 71,

he kind of lost the year. So someone gets left behind with these roles. Now that's a long time ago obviously and times have changed. But still it happened. I was actually trying to find the 1977 one for a JV team roster which good like there. Hey, I might be good, but I'm not even buying that. But yeah, so anyway, it happens. Well, he's eligible. The Gators are ecstatic about it. They have a shooting guard with experience and a lot of talent that makes this team definitely a lot to be the preseason number one now. Absolutely. All right. Let's start with this. After the victory over Ole Miss, the Gators jump from number 21 in the country to number eight. They're four and oh, they just destroyed a top five team. Are the Gators legitimately a college football playoff team right now? Or are we getting intoxicated on one September victory? Well, they're going to

Missouri where they haven't had a lot of success. And so I think this is going to be a role, you know, measuring stick game. Now, interestingly, two things, they're going to be playing against another Kiffin quarterback this week. Austin Simmons, a former Florida commit from I believe Fahoki. And he was committed here, flipped a lane Kiffin Ole Miss and was lane Kiffin's starter last year until he heard himself against Kentucky with Brad White, the Gators current defensive coordinator, calling the defense for the Wildcats, which ushered in the Trinidad Chambliss era. Now, he's at Missouri. So in Austin Simmons can really throw the football. He's very talented. 11 touchdowns, no interceptions, even though I've handed out Mississippi State game. Basically, the Bulldogs dropped at least two on that final drive, if you watch.

He's talented. Now, here's the other factor, though. They're running back Ahmad Hardy, who led the SEC and rushing last year is out as he still recovers from a gunshot wound and his leg suffered in May. Well, this past week, Kiwan Lacey, the number two russering SEC last year was out for Ole Miss. So the Gators, no pun intended, may have dodged a bullet a second time. But they're benefiting from that. But it says, Ole Miss Missouri, excuse me, has a very good offensive line. Some are all said that best their face to date and will look to run the football. And I'm sure we'll run it fairly effectively. This defense still has some to show. There's no doubt, I think. Offensive, when you get an offense average in 54 a game, you might not have to be the greatest defense to win games. So as Los Angeles continues to celebrate what was an unforgettable FIFA World Cup

For more, visit LASEC.net. Agra, I hate to continue to pile on Billy Napier. I meant the guy was a failure. What you're saying? But I mean, is what Buster Faulkner doing with this offense with a bunch of the same players? Is this even further indictment of how an apt Billy Napier was as an offensive play color? It's just an up to two. There's no balance when you compare it to what's going on now. Now he's doing well at James Madison, but he's not called the replace.

Well, I know, and maybe, but he's also maybe just finding his level. It's like I was joking with someone. It's Bill Plaschky retired tomorrow, and and early on, our former editor called me and said, you want to write comments through all of the time and replace Bill Plaschky. That's about what Billy Napier was trying to do here. I would follow on my face. And Billy, their level's been like Billy wasn't good enough for this level. Some are all clearly is now. I'll let football playoff contender. We're going to find out a lot this week. They win this game. They still got to get attached to some of 17th October, get a buy-week, and they got Georgia. But even if they lost those two games and won all the rest at 10 and 2, they got on the fringe of that, and they probably get in. So it's been a remarkable turn around that's far, but it has to continue this week. Because you lose the Missouri, then you get South Carolina, which is in total this array. I'm probably going to fire Shane Deamer. You still

got Texas, Georgia. You could be five and three who host in Oklahoma. So you're never really out of the woods in the SEC, man. And this is an important game. And it was important when you looked at the schedule early on. It was like, yeah, that's the game. It's a tough one. And now it's a very pivotal game. Some are all that have them ready, though. And that flip-flop game is very more than once. I've been there for all of them, other than maybe the COVID game in 21. But they have slept blocked in the Missouri many times. And I don't think that's going to happen this week. So we played the clip of Jaden Balls, two yard touchdown run to welcome you into this segment. Obviously, Jaden Ball is one of the top running backs in Gator history joins Emmett Smith. Who's the other Emmett Smith of Fred Taylor? Emmett Smith and Fred Taylor, only Gators to rush

for five straight hundred jarg games. But Florida's backup running back also ran for what 125 yards. I'm just curious. This offensive line must be playing lights out, Edgar. Yeah, I actually have a story that will probably post soon. I sent it a little while ago. A couple hours ago, the unphotinar. He really likes to run the football. I mean, imposing your will on another team. He likes that. And he did it at Georgia Tech. They had 300 total yards rushing. I mean, I think the gold standard of running the football. If you're running for 300, that's hard to do. And as a team, his point, which is a suit one, is that's K-cell 11 guys. The quarterback has to have everything timing right. Has everyone in the right place, emotions going right correctly. And then the offensive line has to do its job. But the receivers, the tight

ends have to do their jobs. And that's an underrated aspect. If you go back to Urban Meyer, he's obsessed with like wide receiver blocking, if you recall. Talked about all the time. And this team has some nasty blocking going on in the perimeter. In addition to the offensive line coming together, excuse me, very quickly under full trout line, which was a highly regarded and talented higher farmer gator, two time national champion, all SEC left tackle for Urban Meyer's teams. And he has brought this unit together quickly. This has all come together quickly. I mean, this team has so far had a schedule compared with what I thought. I thought, Ole Miss was going to beat Florida last week. You know, I just did. I thought, Chamblech was going to eviscerate the secondary that seems to still have something to prove. This was like him. That's not, you know, I mean, it's a first year program. I mean, some role is not listening to that.

And the guy is hilarious. He had a great line yesterday. Someone asked him, hey, it's Missouri's homecoming game. Did you hear that line? Yeah. Yeah. And he's like, do you think they're going to be, you know, juice up for you? And he's like, I don't care about any homecoming game. You know, that doesn't mean a thing to me. I don't care who their homecoming queen or king is. You know, I mean, this way said it though, it was this very funny. And he's just a breath of fresh air. And after getting like basically no good clothes or energy at a billion apier for four years at the podium, we're welcoming that. Edgar Thompson, he'll be in Missouri covering the Florida Missouri game. Check out his coverage at Orlando Sentinel.com. Edgar, we always appreciate it. Thank you. Thanks, Mike. Straight ahead. Well, the Senate passed it. The college

protected college sports at the Senate past it. But will it get through the house? And why are Miami and Florida state against this protect college sports act? We'll talk about that next. UCF revealed their new space,

space game jerseys today and they look pretty cool. They're like astronaut theme like all white with the with a red stripe on the helmet. They look pretty solid. They're eight and one in space games. The night, the nights lost their undefeated streak last year to Houston. The team they play this Saturday, Bennett or forget it. The nights are going to use last year's loss as motivation for this Saturday's big 12 matchup. When's the space game? October 30th. Who did I play? Baylor. Yeah, yeah, Bennett, Bennett redemption from the space game lost last year to Houston. Absolutely. Let's face it, Houston thinks there the space university because you know, mission control is in Houston. Well, guess what? The rockets blast off from right here in central Florida. UCF was founded as a university to build engineers for NASA. So yeah, UCF is the real

space university. So they need to get some revenge. You know, they can't get UCF or USF yearly on the schedule. We should make Houston like the big, the big time space game every year. We should wear the space shirts. He's against Houston every year. Yeah, but you have to worry them at home. I mean, they're all white this year. You can wear them anywhere. Former former Auburn personnel staffer has been arrested for leaking football information to opponents. Better forget it. Auburn fans can blame the staffer for always being average. I haven't read. I only saw the headline. I want to read more about this because way back in the day, when Steve's failure was coaching at Florida, they were playing Tennessee one year and Tennessee had a former staffer. His name was, I think his name was Jack Cells or something like that. He was a former coach. And I think he got fired at Tennessee and he was faxing Tennessee's playbook to Florida's defensive coordinator at the time, Ron Zook, right? And yeah, it was a big scandal that Florida was

receiving, you know, this this clandestine playbook from Tennessee. So I wonder, I wonder Auburn just played Florida a couple of weeks ago. I'm wondering if Florida is involved. They could be scandal in any way. Was this former Auburn? Let's see. I'm reading the story now. One member of the SC's front told ESPN Tuesday he recalled referring himself as Don Hulio when he said the knee, ma'am, I don't see anything about Florida. They called himself Don Hulio. Yeah, like after the tequila. I guess. I don't know. Yeah. So what was the question? Auburn fans can blame this staffer for being the average for the last, I mean, decade. No, Auburn. They forget it. Yeah, but Auburn can blame their administration for hiring the wrong coaches

for being average over the last decade. Okay. They few freeze and some of these other guys they've hired bad, just bad hiring by Auburn. Speaking of bad coaches, better forget it. If Billy Napier had a buster Faulkner, he would still be the head coach of the Florida Gators. Pettit, bet it. It's essentially the same players. Bernal Brown Jr. Jaden Ball, the offensive line has, you know, a lot of those guys were here under Billy Napier. Dallas Clark was here under Billy Napier. Dallas Clark. Dallas Wilson was here under Billy Napier. Yes, Billy Napier. If he hadn't been so freaking stubborn, he would not hire, but not only buster Faulkner, he wouldn't hire any offensive coordinator. He wanted to prove that he could be the play caller and he couldn't. If he'd had just hired an offensive coordinator, maybe he, in fact, I say if he'd hire buster Faulkner, he would

still be coaching the Gators as the head coach. Yeah, I mean, these are all his players essentially. He was a great recruiter. Just couldn't do anything on the actual field. Switching over to the NFL, the bucks play the Packers this Sunday and both head coaches are in the hot sea. I mean, they're flamen hot. Better forget it. Whoever loses this game will be without a head coach the next morning. As Los Angeles continues to celebrate what was an unforgettable FIFA World Cup 2026, we proudly thank our host city supporters, Amgen, Archer Aviation, Kiser Permanente, LA Tourism and Metro. For more, visit LASEC.net. Next morning, I'm going to forget that. I'm going to forget it simply because the buck in it,

if Todd Voles loses, the buckeners will be 0 and 4 and he will probably get fired at the end of the year unless they make a miraculous turn around. But the bucks just do not fire coaches in the middle of the season. I mean, they lose the coach, Raheem Morris. I mean, he lost like a bunch of games in a row and they continued to let him coach out the season. So no, I, now, no, not the floor because they're last four last year and have continued to slide this year. So the packers may do it, but I don't think the bucks will. The Eagles only had three first downs in the second half last night on Monday night football. Better or forget it. The Eagles have a quarterback problem with Jalen Hertz. So big of a problem. You can compare it to the dolphin situation with two of that quarterback. Oh, forget it. Forget about Jalen Hertz. He's one super balls. All right. He's

he won one super bowl played and another one. And I realized that the Eagles had a lot of talent around him. But to win a super bowl and play in another one, you've got to be a pretty decent quarterback. Jalen Hertz last night. Believe me, he was not great at all. And he's not, he wasn't great last year either. Do the, do the Eagles have a quarterback issue? Yeah. But two was a, I'm at the bottom just fell out of two was game. I don't think Jalen Hertz is there yet. Yeah, I don't know. He might not be too far too far from that pathway. Last one really quick. Odele Beckham Jr. was released from the Giants after just three weeks of being back on the team. Better or forget it. This would be the last time we hear about Odele Beckham Jr. in the NFL. Better, better, better. I mean, it should have done two teams ago. Should have been the last time. We heard about Odele Beckham Jr. in the NFL. The guy has not been relevant in years and years and

years. And because he had that, that brief stretch with the Giants when he was young and he was good. Okay. We've been hearing about him ever since the last three teams he's been on. He's been a non contributor. So why do we keep talking about Odele Beckham Jr. I mean, we should be talking about Parker Washington. Odele Beckham Jr. gets more ink than Parker Washington does for crying out loud. And Parker Washington of my Jaguars, he might be a top five receiver in the league right now. Stop talking about Odele Beckham Jr. Get it. It's crazy what one catch can do for your career. That is better. Forget it. All right. Right around the corner. The last call coming. Any last minute talk, Max or text. Get them in now. It's national coffee day. We still want to know what you think is the best in the worst thing about Starbucks. We'll read some of your texts next.

Game on with Bianchi and Kravitz. What if your ball knowledge could win you two million dollars in cash? What a dream? Put it to the test in hard rock bets free to play survivor contest. The biggest free survivor pool in Florida this season. Here's how it works. Starting this week. Make your picks to win each week. Pick a winner. You survive. Pick a loser and you're out. Keep surviving and advancing all season long for your shot at two million dollars. If more than one survivor makes it to the end, you split the money. But time is running out to join. This is the last week before hard rock bets two million dollars survivor contest officially kicks off. I'm already thinking of survivor strategies and you can too. And there's so many ways to get in on the action on hard rock spreads props totals and contests like this free to play. No purchase necessary to enter offered by the Seminole tribe of Florida must be 21 plus and physically present in Florida to wager terms and conditions apply concerned about your gambling call or text. One eight three three play wise.

It's time for the last call. Last call. Last chance for you to get one last word in somebody from the text. I'm we've been talking about this protect college sports act that passed the Senate yesterday. Now it has to get through the house. I have serious doubts whether it will get through the house. And if it doesn't get through the house by the time there's a new Congress in January, the whole process starts over again would have to get through the Senate again. It would have to get through the house again. So this is the best chance for it to happen. Somebody takes them Mike. This Ted Cruz college sports bill is worthless and pointless. If the legislation gets past, what's the implement implementation plan? Who and how will it be enforced? Good point. Good point. You're going to have all these rules and guardrails. Who's going to enforce them? I don't think the

government's going to enforce the rules. College sports is going to have to figure out a way to enforce these rules and how college sports can't even enforce their rules now. They can't even enforce the rules that they have. In effect, what makes you think they're going to be able to enforce these? But I guess if it's a law, I guess there would be more of an inclination to follow the law. Instead of just follow these pesky NCAA rules. Do we, our text talk back question today was best and worst things about Starbucks. Somebody texted this in. Let me see if I can find it real quick. A worse thing about Starbucks. You can accidentally spend $9 on a beverage. At some point, this stop being coffee and became taking out a second mortgage to buy a beverage. Yeah.

Yeah, it's unbelievable how much a cup of quote unquote coffee will cost you at Starbucks. Another person texted in. There's always one drink whose order sounds like a nuclear launch code. Like this one. Vity ice, blonde, rostreto, oat milk, shake, and espresso, two pumps vanilla, one pump hazelnut upside down, light ice. What does it even mean upside down? I have no idea what some of these orders are at Starbucks. It's unbelievable. It's unbelievable. Do we have a talk back? Yeah, we do from Paul. Hey, Mike, hey, prodigy. I was thinking maybe Florida can sign Kyle Pits back for one more year of eligibility because he sure isn't doing anything anything in the NFL. I'm sure BK would like that. Thanks a lot. Have fun, you guys. Can I keep him on my fantasy team if he's in college still? He'd probably rack up a bunch of points for me. The Gators would offer him about a

dollar and a quarter in IL money. You want to come back to college? No thanks. Just stay in the NFL, please. He's never been more dominant than he was in senior season of college under Dan Mullins. So yeah. All right. So that is going to do it for us today. Brandon Krabbich, we think we'll be back with us tomorrow, three to six PM right here in Orlando, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, and all points in between on the I heart radio at for the prodigy of production. Brad time Jaden Grouse. This is the bull ball Mike Bianchi. And what am I going to say? I'm going to say this. Peace, love, and thank you for your great oil. 935 AM in the trailer park is a different kind of horny.
