About this episode

“Some people use chatGPT to answer questions. Plus real inputs like briefs, notes, files, feedback, data, and project plans. It can help turn them into an analysis, tracker, deck outline, prototype, or workflow you can review and keep shaping.”From the transcript

Pack the car, lower your expectations and make sure your tetanus shot is current—the Maller Travelogue has returned! Benny goes wandering around the Golden State, proving California still has some gold left once you get far enough away from traffic, politicians and people charging $19 for avocado toast. It’s a “Darling” of an adventure featuring the Cathedral of Giants, 24 hours living off the grid, and the three magical letters posted on a restaurant window that scream: you have made some questionable navigation choices. Along the way, Ben becomes roadside Rip Van Maller, gets an unwanted lesson in organic farming and discovers what happens when civilization—and cell service—disappear. Then we change gears to remember the late Lawrence Tanter, the legendary Lakers PA announcer who spent more than 40 years behind the microphone. Somehow, a card-carrying Lakers hater and the voice of the Lakers became friends, bonding over the dying art of radio. Travel stories, radio stories, California weirdness and assorted nonsense—dump it into the Maller blender, hit purée and pray the lid stays on. It’s the Life of Maller edition of The Fifth Hour.

The clearinghouse of hot ticks break free for something special. The fifth hour with Ben Mallor starts right now. In the air everywhere, the fifth hour with me, Ben Mallor and you we are together through the magic of audio content on this 26 day of September happy Saturday, the 269th day of the year. And on this pod, we've got organic farming and not having a gimmick became his gimmick.

We'll get to that. However, we begin with this back by popular demand or because nobody has successfully filed an injunction with the court. It is a Saturday pod life of Mallor classic, the Mallor travel log. Now you may or may not know that this past weekend in addition to putting together three original podcast yours truly actually left the civilized world. I traveled around California in search of as the late great hewkel house or used to say California's gold and California does still have gold. You just have to drive over a bunch of potholes and poorly maintained roads to find it. Now I have many issues with the state of California, the golden state. I have aired many of them on this podcast over the years.

I have given snarky comments on the radio show things like handing out our taxpayer money like Halloween candy for people to become rich that don't actually use the money for it. It's supposed to go to apparently nobody can locate enough asphalt to fix the highway system. You're driving along thinking where exactly did my tax dollars go and all that that these other idiots voted for to fix the roads. And then as John Madden would have said boom, wow, bang and drink your suspension files a workers comp claim and you are in California. But for all of the nonsense, there are many places within the walls of California, the borders of California that provide an amazing variety from the desert to the sea mountains, giant trees, farms, cities, homeless encampments, outdoor drug dens, $7 a gallon gas.

And the orange juice costs about as much. We have everything, the good, the bad and the ugly. So my wife and I made our semi annual pilgrimage from the woods to the woods, not the we live in the north woods, but we're talking about the real woods. We packed up the mallermobile last Friday and finished up the pod and I had slept only a few hours, which normally does not bother me because my internal clock was apparently manufactured somewhere in Pyongyang, North Korea. My plan was to drive the entire way. A couple of reasons, I don't mind driving and I really do mind the way my wife drives. So that plan lasted right up until the first big thing of a gig of traffic. I started getting sleepy, which I am told is generally frowned upon when operating a two-ton motor vehicle.

They do not want you to be sleepy. So I did the grown-up thing. I turned things over to my wife. I actually slept for about 20 minutes in the passenger seat. I don't typically nap. Ever. I'm a four to five hour night or day I sleep during the day, sleep guy. So if I'm sleeping in a moving car while somebody else is driving, understand that my body has basically pulled the emergency brake. So I slept for like 20 minutes and then we changed and I got back in the car. Destination in the driver seat. I was in the car the whole time. I didn't sit on the hood of the car or the roof of the car. Destination, Viselia. So Friday was just a travel day driving around California. My wife found a boutique hotel. She absolutely adores. Called the Darling Hotel. How perfect is that? Now we had stayed there in the past. It's the former Tulare County Courthouse Annex, which is a really fancy way of saying it's a old rundown courthouse that was renovated with millions of dollars into this beautiful hotel right in downtown Viselia.

It is legitimately impressive. It's considered I'm told an iconic landmark, assuming Viselia's Chamber of Commerce has a iconic landmark committee. Now outside the hotel, however, things got a little more complicated. You see, Viselia is classic central valley, California. This is from the area that my man, Eddie Garcia is from. He's from that part of the country. It's farming country. And when I say farming country, I'm talking orange grove after orange grove after orange grove. Agriculture is everywhere, depending on which direction the wind is blowing. You occasionally as an add on item, get a complimentary aroma therapy session courtesy of a nearby cow fertilizer dump that is now in the air everywhere.

That smell brought back memories. You see, my childhood smell is cow shit. It just is I grew up in Orange County in a place called Irvine when Irvine actually had orange groves. It was a planned community, but when I was there, they just had a lot of farming grown up. The kid, it was great fun. You could wander into these orange groves and completely lose track of time and where you were, which was somewhat scary in the age we didn't have cell phones and we had to be back when the street lights turned on. And I was a mama's boy. So it was, it was, I see. It was also fantastic. Of course, occasionally as I've told before on this podcast, you'd encounter some Marines from the, I was living between two air bases, El Toro and Tustin.

They're both clothes. They closed them back in the 90s, but when I was growing up, they were, they were there and, and hiding among the trees would be these Marines from these two bases drinking, smoking things that were not approved, I believe by the Department of Defense. Nothing quite says organic childhood innocence, like playing hide and seek and stumbling across not one, not two, but three Marines conducting an unauthorized pharmaceutical convention and testing liquor, the strength of liquor as well. So the orange groves were nostalgic parts of downtown, Visellia. Let's just say less nostalgic. There were dollar generals here there and everywhere, run down buildings enough characters wandering around that you expect the casting director from breaking bad to show up and say, here I am boys. At one point, we saw a guy down on his knees, like the song, look at that bum over there. I don't know what he was doing. Maybe he was praying.

You know, it wasn't working if he was praying. Maybe looking for some change or a needle. I don't know. I'm just trying to communicate directly with the pavement. Hey pavement, how you doing? There was definitely a strong aroma of sweat and urine floating around Visellia certain blocks that we walked on. Yeah, and you know, you're not exactly in Beverly Hills. You know, you're not going to be in the library when seemingly every restaurant window advertises what this is always a dead you wait. The way that things are not going great in your town when every just about every restaurant has eBT accepted here. Give me the poor, the broke, the disgusted and the busted right here. So we mostly stayed at our hotel, the darling was like a bubble, beautiful places, I said, and then came Saturday morning, got in somewhat late on Friday and then Saturday morning, my wife decided that we needed a wake up call at eight a.m.

8 in the morning. Now, as you know, I work the graveyard shift 8 a.m. To me is what to a.m. is to you normal people. Nothing good happens at 8 a.m. Nothing. That's my take and I'm going to die on that take mountain. Apparently there was a free breakfast that we got, which tells us the hotel tells me the hotel was very expensive. If they're offering you a free breakfast and not this crappy continental breakfast with the pancakes and the cereal boxes, no, no, no. A real breakfast, then okay, and it was free, which you know it's not free. It's hey, we're charging a lot for the room. So we're going to toss in the breakfast and we're going to make it seem like you're getting a deal realizing a certain percentage of people will not even bother getting up to eat the breakfast. We were the two knuckleheads who did get up to eat the breakfast and I will say a free breakfast, it would again not free somebody we paid for it and all that somehow made this seem more acceptable.

I had a delicious brisket breakfast burrito. I don't normally eat breakfast burritos, but this was really good. It's hard to screw up a brisket breakfast burrito. So after that, we then made the long winding drive to Sequoia National Park. It's roughly an hour plus with traffic from Viselia to the entrance of Sequoia National Park. And once you get up there, you realize why you made the trip. The Sequoia's are spectacular, a cathedral of giants, nature's skyscrapers. I am a sucker for a big city and it's like going to a big city, but it's not built by man. It's built by whoever planted those trees. It feels like Jurassic Park. You feel very small. It's Jurassic Park, except your reasonably confident that nothing is going to kill you in the moment.

And these trees have seen a thing or two because they lived longer than any of us. These trees have been standing there for thousands of years. There's trees there that they estimated two to two and a half, three thousand years old. It's processed how long that is. A generation's 20 years, a generation's 20 years, so you can do the math on that. You think about it and civilizations came and went. Wars were fought, empires collapsed. The jets went through 47 different quarterbacks. And these trees just stood there. It's like going to a museum. It's earth's living history right there. The giant forest is the star of the show. It never disappoints. We drove through Sequoia and Kings Canyon, the two can join national parks, including areas that were scarred by recent wildfires, yet somehow these trees survive and regenerate.

Okay, sis, give me the scoop. What have you been up to? Living my best life. I've been traveling, working, even hiking more, and things to T-Mobile, I'm connected for all of it. Really? I need details. I mean, with America's best network, I can pretty much go anywhere. Even when I'm off grid, I'm still connected by satellite. That's cool. Plus, I get unlimited texting and data brought, so I'm all set for my trip to Greece. I don't even need to do anything. It'll just work when I get there. That's it. I gotta get T-Mobile. I don't even get reception in my apartment. This is why I'm mom's favorite. So many reasons to join T-Mobile. We've learned over and over on our show while talking to people and entertainments that success comes when you bet on yourself.

How many times have we talked to an actor who took a big risk with a challenging role because they believed they could pull it off? Well, it's a lot easier to take those risks when you've got the practical stuff covered. And that's what Geico does so well. Imagine an actor driving to set to film the scene that's going to win them an Oscar. They're focusing on the scene, not on dealing with managing an insurance claim. Because Geico is handling that. And they don't even expect a shout out in the acceptance speech. Geico provides peace of mind and they'll do the same for you. Maybe it's not an Oscar winning performance. Maybe it's building a career. Starting the business you've dreamed about or just taking care of your family. Whatever you're betting on, Geico will make sure you're covered. Learn more at Geico.com. Your information may be for sale online. You'll take four social security numbers and a maiden name. The crispy chicken crunch wrap slider that you love is back at Taco Bell. And it's back with attitude. Because now you can enjoy the all white meat chicken nuggets inside a slider sized crunch wrap with Hidden Valley Diablo Ranch. What do you love most? The crispy chicken nuggets, the crunch wrap slider, or maybe the Hidden Valley Diablo Ranch? But yes, the answer is yes. The crispy chicken crunch wrap slider, a brand new classic is back, only at Taco Bell. Now meanwhile, my cell phone does not regenerate. My cell phone loses one bar and immediately gives up on life. There was essentially no T-Mobile service. Nothing, squadouche, bupcus. You are off the grid, which my wife loved because I'm always checking my phone to see what's going on in sports and what I might be talking about when I get back to behind the microphones on the overnight show.

Now, when you're off the grid, you try not to think about all the things that would go bad and all the things that could go bad when you're off the grid. If the car breaks down, you're cooked. If there's a medical emergency, good luck, pal, you're on your own. Your healthcare provider is now Alvin in the chipmunks. And the altitude is no joke. Denver loves to brag about being the mile high city. They have the number of feet that they're in the sky there on the jerseys, the nuggets, uniforms. That's how much they love it. Now, parts of Sequoia are over 7,000 feet up in the heavens. That is roughly 1.3 miles, if I am correct on that, I believe I am. That's a lot. That's a lot. So Denver, miles great. Good luck to you. However, triple A compared to Sequoia. Now, the star attraction was the giant force as we said,

but we also made our way to Hume Lake, beautiful, peaceful, picture perfect. They have a lot of camps. Kids come up there, religious camps and whatnot. The God Squad was there. And what culinary masterpiece did I bring to compliment this magnificent Bob Ross painting, this natural setting, I brought Jersey mics. Now, we were going to go to a local sandwich shop in Viceria and I would have rather gone to a local sandwich shop in Viceria. Unfortunately, they weren't open serving hogeys when we needed hogeys. So therefore, we could not go to the mom and pop shop. So we were debating we had subway and we had Jersey mics. And you always go Jersey mics. You always go Jersey mics when your choice is Jersey mics and subway. So I got a turkey sandwich, get a little extra meat, bag of chips, thousands of years of geological history surrounding me. And I'm sitting on a little bench overlooking Lake Hume sitting there peeling paper off a turkey hero is what I'm doing. Welcome to America. Now, eventually the sun went down and it was time to begin the long drive back towards Los Angeles.

And eventually we would get to the north woods. Now there was one problem yet again, guess who was exhausted ding ding ding ding ding ding you win absolutely nothing and a trip to nowhere. So I was exhausted that 8 a.m. wake up call for the brisket breakfast burrito had done damage to me and had collected its debt. So somewhere in the middle of central California in between Sequoia National Park and the big highway, the big city that was next to it. I pulled the Malor mobile off the road and went by by sleepy time sleep. Sleepy time and took another nap two naps in one weekend. At this point, I am basically going to have to call myself rip van Malor. You can call me that rip van Malor. That's right.

But I wasn't fit for another six plus hour drives, you know, unlike my radio career, I actually recognized the warning signs and I made sure to correct that. And so I was fine. I think I slept for about 30 minutes, about 30 minutes. So driving through California's bread basket, which is anything like from Bakersfield all the way up through central California and then to until you get to the Bay Area. So you drive through the bread basket of California and you're doing it late at night and it does have a really good perk. There's a really cool perk that you get when you drive through the California bread basket through the desert. At night and it's an advantage that I took full advantage of and it really works only if you're a man of a certain age. There are bathrooms everywhere. Technically there aren't bathrooms anywhere, but there are fields everywhere. Same difference.

When the bladder alarm sounds, I pulled over and made a modest agricultural contribution. Consider this organic farming. Benny's organic farming, Doc Mike approved mellow yellow. I helped fertilize California. And that is my way of giving back to the taxpayers in California. You saved a little bit of money. You didn't need to have it. And so I took care of it for you. You're welcome. So we finally by the time we stopped a few times to get Starbucks and other crap that we shouldn't have gotten. We finally rolled home around midnight, which is just enough time to unwind for a couple of hours before I had to get back up and watch NFL games from morning till night. Because apparently my idea of relaxation is replacing six hours behind the steering wheel with 12 hours of watching football, but it's worth it because I'm getting paid for it. So again, you had the giant trees, you had the mountains, you had hum Lake, the orange groves, the manure, PU, the naps, the roadside, agricultural donations, fertilizing the area. California makes me crazy.

It empties my wallet. It destroys joy with some of the bull crap they're doing. And yet, it's moments like this. I'm like, well, that's great. You turn the corner. You see a tree and there you go standing right up there tree from 2000 years ago. And suddenly it's like, okay, there are some good things about California. If you can overlook the quality of life and you can overlook all these other things, at least until you hit the next pothole. Until then, Sequoia, don't ever change. We'll be there again. Hopefully next year to visit Sequoia. Now turning the page, turning the page, and there's really no good way to do this. We asked the question of the esteemed panel as our buddy from Manhattan likes to say, how are you going to remember Lawrence Tanter? Now, as you may or may not have heard the other day, I think it was Thursday's episode of the show. I mentioned that Lawrence Tanter had died at age 76 and somewhere in the Great Western Forum Club, the Forum Club.

Somewhere there in the actual Forum Club in the sky where Jerry Bus is there, I assume somebody just committed a traveling violation. Too many steps. Perfection. Now, I befriended Lawrence Tanter during my days as a radio stringer, which remains one of the great plot twists of my broadcast and career. I was in remain a card carrying Laker Hader. I overdosed on Shadden, Freude, when the Lakers are eliminated. I feel a little bit like the Boston Hader, but I'm just the Laker Hader. And yet somehow I became buds with the iconic Lakers public address announcer. Who does that? How does that happen? Well, I'll tell you how it happens. One word, radio. Not best friends. I don't want to make this seem like me and him were besties. We were not best friends. Let's not turn this into some kind of cheesy hallmark movie filmed in Vermont.

We weren't vacationing together. We weren't exchanging Christmas pajamas. But we were friendly. We talked shop. We spoke the same language that people who've spent too many hours inside radio stations understand. L.T., as some of his pals called him occasionally even listened to the bandmaller show. How crazy is that? He particularly enjoyed when I would stir the pot. He appreciated the art of pot stirring, which automatically made him a man of impeccable taste this Lawrence Tanter. What an amazing mindset you have here. What a great note. He asked me about certain people that called the show. That's always the giveaway. If somebody says they listen, there's a lot of nonsense, especially in a town like LA where everyone's fake and it's crazy. Now everyone's fake everywhere because of social media. The invasive species of Hollywood has now spread. I am told all over the country because there are people online on the interweb who truly think, hey, I'm famous. Well, no, you're not.

On that app, you're famous, but that's not real. And then they get upset and all that. But when you ask somebody, hey, what call that you want to know about and that tells you they listen. That tells you that they're legit. That tells you that they're not bogus and then you like that. You want to hear that. It's just great. That's great. So that was that. Right. We spoke the same language, as I said, and you spend a lot of time in these radio stations. And that's that. And so we'd ask me about cars and I'd tell them and we trade stories and radio people love hearing about other radio people's. Misha Goss, we just do. It's like, imagine two zookeepers comparing like one had a Tasmanian devil that escaped. The other had a Komodo dragon and they're just exchanging notes. And so Lawrence Tantor understood because he had been in the audio battlefield himself. His broadcasting career began almost accidentally.

In college, he spotted an ad. They had these things called ads back in the day in the school newspaper that they were looking for announcers for the campus radio station and eventually started hosting a jazz show. Lawrence Tantor did the old Laker play by play and I play by play guy. He was the Laker PA guy. Get it right, Tommy. And so there was that, right. There was that. And we had this background. And so he was in college. He started the answer to an ad and jazz was not just a hobby for Lawrence Tantor. Tantor jazz was his oxygen. He spent roughly four decades working around LA radio back in the heyday of LA radio. He worked at Stevie Wonder's KJ LH, which is yet Stevie Wonder has a radio station. And he later would become the program director of KJAS 88.1, which is a college radio station. I believe on the campus of Cal State Long Beach, if I'm not mistaken.

And so think about that resume by night. This guy was announcing magic Johnson and Kobe Bryant by day. He was programming jazz. Now some people have side hustles driving Uber. Nothing wrong with that. Lawrence had Miles Davis. That's pretty cool. He interviewed more than 500 recording artists wrote liners notes for albums and narrated video games. There was a wrestling thing that he did. He's voiced more than 6000 commercials. And then there was this little side gig with the historians, the purple and gold 43 seasons. Mel Proctor was a broadcaster. And for the teams we talked about earlier on the yesterday's podcast. And I'm crossing the streams here. Lawrence Tantor was also a broadcaster and a play by play guy and the whole thing. He did all that for like 40. I think it was 43. Well, he was a Laker guy for 43 seasons. He was a Laker guy for 43 seasons.

Hey, all right. Almost here. Are you ready? Just grabbing my shoes. That's what you said 10 minutes ago. I just wrapped the video call uploading this giant file on my tablet, looking at my watch group and Nana's with the group chat. And of course still lining up tonight's playlist on my phone. All at once. Yep, story of my life. That's why I switched to D-Mobile. They have the fastest 5G network. Okay, multi-tasker. I see you. Honestly, I never imagined I could do all this at once. We've learned over and over on our show while talking to people and entertainment that success comes when you bet on yourself.

Because Geico is handling that and they don't even expect a shout out in the acceptance speech. Geico provides peace of mind and they'll do the same for you. Maybe it's not an Oscar wedding performance. Maybe it's building a career starting the business you've dreamed about or just taking care of your family. Lawrence Tanta started magic Johnson was still young. James worthy was a rookie. The Lakers were still a mom and pop shop compared to the corporate aircraft carrier professional sports thing. I'm a jig. The world's become the industrial complex of big sporty. Lawrence originally inquired about becoming a backup PA announcer. I read this whole story. It was crazy. They gave the Lakers gave him a one day audition. They said, hey, let's see what you can do. See what you knew kid. And then they essentially said, okay, congratulations kid. The microphone is yours and he never gave up that microphone.

Well, he did actually briefly take a break for a couple of years in the 90s. But he came back and there was no PA announcer school. So Lawrence Tanta learned from advice he got from Chick Herndt. Chickie baby. The legend play by play guy. And so Chick Herndt supposedly told him to be informative, precise, and describe things as though someone who couldn't see the game was listening. So you're talking to the blind. Like I talked to Stevie Meepalls or Inkater. So Lawrence Tanta took that very seriously. He never became one of what is modern for an arena announcer. When I say modern, the type of announcer that will try to sell you monster truck tickets while being chased by a brown bear. And he didn't need to scream. Did not need to scream. He was smooth jazz Lawrence Tanta.

While the rest of the NBA gradually became heavy metal and polka. He did jazz and ironically not having a gimmick became his gimmick. Lawrence had his own proprietary blend, a traveling violation. Too many steps. I was at three words. Today they probably had lasers, a couple of smoke machines, a sponsor dance team and a 45 second tick talk video explaining the turnover. So Lawrence Tanta just told you what happened. And then there was his signature call. So the nicks had had trick, viewing at Madison Square Garden, but Lawrence Tanta's line.

The late girl girls. And I'm butchering it. I can't do it like him. He's so good. That was his line. That was it. Another favorite of mine came way before Laker games were played like 35, 40 minutes before each game. Lawrence Tanta would get on the microphone. The PA guy and we're announced that the game is being broadcast back to the value of the sun with Al McCoy on. And they named the radio station. It's also being broadcast back to the Phoenix Arizona market and he named the TV station and the whole thing. And that's how he did it. And then he and the Lakers broadcast can be heard with Chick-Curren and Stu Lance across the vast Lakers broadcast network. The vast. I love that one. The vast so much though that on the Ben Mallor Show, the vast became our own little silent tribute to LT.

Same reason I occasionally use boom. Shaka Laka as a tip of the cap to my old pal, the late great trailblazers broadcaster Brian Wheeler, who died not that long ago. These little pieces of broadcasters you admire, they become part of your broadcasting DNA. Now Lawrence was taller than me. I'm on the tall side. He was like 6768, which meant the famous voice came out of a guy who looked, looked like he should have a good voice. He was a Chicago kid played basketball at a high level as a part of an Illinois State championship team at Thornton High School. His love of basketball went all the way back to childhood. When his father took him out to see this guy named Wilk Chamberlain for the Harlem Globetrotters. I wonder if that works by the way with kids today if you take a kid out to see the Savannah bananas, do they become fans of baseball? That's what Rob Manford and baseball is banking on.

Good luck because what the Savannah bananas do is not really anywhere related to baseball to Broadway show with baseball as the delivery device. Anyway, so that was that. Lawrence did become friends with Karim Abdul Jbar. In fact, I happened to run in the bowels of the arena at the, what was that? The Staples Center or the Staples Center Karim would be wandering around. They would have great conversations about jazz, legit buddies, largely because they had great jazz, efficient autos. And when Lawrence was asked his most memorable Lakers game ever, he obviously said the Kobe Bryant 81 point game on a Sunday night against the Toronto Raptors hard to argue with that one. So I just I got to think about what his eyes saw courtside from the showtime Lakers of the 80s with Karim magic worthy Kurt Rambez, all those guys.

Byron Scott, Michael Cooper to the shack and Kobe vintage and he had to put up also the dark ages, the dark ages of Lakers basketball with Smush Parker and all that. It was Kobe's championship team without shack with with Cassal LeBron came in there, LaLuca era. Players arrived as rookies became superstars, got old and disappeared. Coaches have come and gone. Championship banners went up. Those dusty old things and the forum gave way to Staples Center, which gave way now to the crypt, which is appropriate because it's in skid row with crypto. Reno, whatever. Yeah. So, uh, name sounds like it's somebody's password. What's your password? It's crypto.com arena. Oh, that's your password. Okay. And through all of that, the PA guy Lawrence Tanta remained same share pretty much same voice, same cool.

And he suffered a stroke back in March. We had talked about in a previous podcast that he had retired from game day announcing and again over 40 years, 40 years over 40 years. And he transitioned into what they gave him some advisory board. Obviously his health was still terrible. Otherwise, that wouldn't have happened. And how bad three months later, unfortunately, he's, he's left this mortal coil. But I will remember the voice. Obviously of Lawrence Tanta. I'll remember the radio guy more the jazz guy. I'll selfishly from my ego. Remember a guy who enjoyed hearing me stir the pot on his ride home and wanted a scouting report on some of the zany people that called the show. I believe it was genealogy and Medford, by the way. You want to know more about genealogy and Medford. We all wanted to know more about genealogy and Medford. What a legend. What a legend. And so here he is. A Laker Wifeer who somehow tolerated a Laker Hater. So rest in peace, LT.

They got themselves one hell of a PA announcer behind the pearly gates there. So if Saint Peter is some say takes too long getting through through them. Listen, you know the call too many steps too many steps. Rest in peace. On that note, we will put the baby to bed. I hope you have a wonderful Saturday and joy. The college football today and I'll be partaking in that. And we'll have the mailbag on Sunday. Do I know who's going to be on the mailbag? No. Do I have an idea who should be on the mailbag? Yes. Do I have my big board of people to call for the mailbag? Absolutely. Will I start at the top of that page of numbers? Yes, I will. Does that mean that the first person I call will answer the phone? Hell no. We'll find out. You'll find out when I find out who's on the mailbag. Anyway, have a great Saturday again. We'll talk to you next time. Thank you for supporting this little 5th hour podcast thing.
