Yeah. I mean, what planets do you see or are on your sort of hit list, if you will, that you consider life could be there or it could be habitable? I mean, those are probably two different questions, but I'm sort of conflated them into one in this podcast part of me for that. Yeah. Yeah. Europe is interesting. The Europe A Clipper project. It would be important to point out, because there's been a lot of scientific shows on this that people may have seen just in passing over the years of them wanting to like create a probe that melts through the ice. They don't have anything like that on this. So there is no landing vehicle that's going to melt through 30 kilometers of ice using a thermonuclear heater or something. That would be pretty cool, but it's not happy. That would be really cool. Sorry for interrupting, but that would be really cool. Yeah, it would be super cool. As far as I know, that's all just like in, you know, testing and this is just going to be orbiting Europe. I don't, I need to look into the project again to really get brushed up.
I have at times, but there's just so much to know. I find Ganymede really interesting, which is the largest moon in our solar system. If I remember right, maybe Titan is larger, but Ganymede has a magnetic field. It's the only moon that we know of that has an internally generated magnetic field. Jupiter moon? Yeah. Yeah, it's one of the four Galilei moons. So it's not the strongest magnetic field. It also has an oxygen-rich atmosphere. So it's like almost a proto-earth. I mean, in terms of the actual composition of the planet, that's quite a bit different it seems. It has an oxygen-rich atmosphere, but it's super low-density compared to Earth's atmosphere. It has an internally generated magnetic field, but it's super weak compared to Earth's magnetic field. But it's still like Chexas boxes.
That's interesting. The thing with Ganymede is that it gets hit by a lot of radiation being in Jupiter's magnetic field in its radiation environment. So life as we know it, I think microbial life would probably be fine, but you and I just walking around, we would need heavy shielding and a moon base there, we would need heavy shielding. But if we, you know, 3-i Atlas was interesting because it has such a perfect trajectory, past, Mars, and along our ecliptic plane, fairly close to Venus, but then it is such a close flyby of Jupiter. If there was, I'm not saying there was, but if there was something in about 3-i Atlas that wanted to investigate these different planets, I mean Mars and the Jupiter system are pretty much like the two to really check out.
Because Mars is close to the Sun, you know, you wouldn't go check out Earth because if you're an advanced intelligence, you'd be like, well, there's already people there. So I mean, maybe you'd want to inquire a little bit more in terms of maybe setting up some sort of outposts or something, that's not going to make sense. And then Venus doesn't really fit the bill, right? It's better to have a Mars environment than a Venus environment, but the Galilean moon system and the overall position of Jupiter and the solar system is, it's probably like, I don't know, maybe 500 years in the future or 5000 years in the future, whatever it is. It's probably going to be the central dominant force for civilization as a whole. Like that will be the power centers, probably the Jupiterian system based off of its connection to the outer zone and then also the inner zone. And also, it's ability to easily get to the asteroid field and to be able to mine resources
from them and still be able to easily get back to base because Jupiter is controlling the asteroid field and there's a Trojan asteroids which don't really move in position to Jupiter. So you can do a journey there and back, whereas some other asteroid you may land on it that all of a sudden be on the opposite side. So there's some interesting sci-fi stuff you can think about with that. And we did on some of these three-eye Atlas deep dives that I did. Not saying it wasn't alien probe or something, but a lot of people were interested in ideas, so we explored it. But, Ganymede, for some reason, it's just like always, it's kind of tickling me. I think there's something there. I think there's something there, but what it is, I don't know. And then I also, I think there's probably more happening out beyond Neptune than a lot of people realize. If you like YouTube, you'll love YouTube Premium. I'm just endlessly fascinated by them because there's so many. We really, we've only discovered a few of them in the grand scheme. There's talk of a planet X, which exists like 200, 300, 400 astronomical units away, and that could be like five to 10 times a massive earth. That's really interesting. It has a super long orbit. It's an orbital period of being in order of thousands of years. Jupiter for references like 12 years. Pluto is 248 years, so this would be 3000 years or something.
5000 years could even be longer. Looking at the overall average tilt inclination angle of these Kuiper Bell objects, there's some discussion about a planet Y that exists more in the 80 to 200 astronomical unit range. That could be anywhere from the size of the moon to earth. Likely to be bigger than smaller. Moon size is probably too small, but maybe it's like a maris size. It needs to have enough mass to then cause this tilt of the average Kuiper Bell object. Cause the outer gas giants are too far away to accommodate that, and the sun is as well. So there has to be something local that's able to tilt them slightly off of the normal ecliptic plane that everything is on for the most part. So we're going to get a lot of answers in the next few years, because they just booted up. The Cer- the Varacy Rubin Observatory in Chile, which is able to basically map the entire
sky multiple times per night at very, very low magnitudes, such that it should be able to find a lot. It's going to undoubtedly find a whole bunch of new objects, but if there is something out there, that's bigger. It should find it if it's within the survey area, and this is doing almost a complete all-sky survey. It's not 100%. But it's close to it, so it had to really like slip through the cracks for us to not find it. So we're probably going to get some big revelations as it relates to planets, door planets, and more in our solar system out beyond Neptune by 2030-2032. Yeah, it's interesting considering what's actually going on all the way out there, and that actually so far from the sun that you believe life could be, actually, life could be sustained.
And it was one of the trippy things I heard you say as well was actually even though some of these planets appear to be covered in ice, you don't know that they don't have some sort of geothermal core or something that's going on in there that actually helps there be water underneath the ice that is actually harboring some form of life in there at the moment. Yeah, Ganymeep, you stuck it in my head now I want to know more about it. Venus and Mars, you said you definitely want to be on Mars more than you would want to be on Venus looking for life. Just for those that are the uninitiated, I mean what's the significance of a difference between Mars and Venus for life, and why would you say something like that? Well, we don't really don't know much about Venus at all because the Soviet sense of probes and they got crushed and then melted basically instantly. So it's interesting because in astrology, sorry for interrupting you, but it's like it's this planet of beauty, but its atmosphere is actually quite violent. It's like quite violent. Sorry, please. Yeah, just wanted to throw that in there. Yeah, I think the archetypes need to be updated
a little bit too. I mean, I think it's the Mayans and the Aztecs. They had the Venus as a morning star was like a planet of war. I would look to Mars more. I mean, there's a lot of people I think that actually life is already being confirmed on Mars because we've seen certain like certain rock samples have these small little bacteria like imprints on them, but they're smaller than normal microbes. But probably the moment we're able to actually get some boots on the ground with a proper lab setup instead of these rovers, which are cool, but I mean, they're like going forward two feet a day and they can drill down like a centimeter. You know, you mean so I'm just just going to shovel and just like throw some dirt back and then take a sample or you go to the poles and you actually go to where there is ice at the poles. I think I think we'll find life on Mars, but I don't think it's going to be complex. But we'll see. One thing I find interesting, it's not really answering your question, but it is kind of interesting for this perspective,
which is if you were to take mercury, Venus, and Mars and combine them together, they almost perfectly equal the Earth in terms of a mass. The composition is a little different, but it ends up being like 97% Earth's mass and gravity and diameter and everything. It's like almost identical twin. So when you think of mercury, Venus, and Mars, you can really think of the Earth as being almost a composite of all three of those.
