Coming to you live in the corner at six in Market Bump downtown cano high oh 60 degrees right now in the Hall of Fame city and I Am not a happy camper Wait a second. What are you? Why are you not a happy camper today? It's Friday first time the the Browns won They beat the Steelers and it was on national TV the guardians are playing tomorrow in the playoffs How can you not be happy? Well cheap trick was supposed to play at halftime I didn't get to see it wait a second So you're unhappy because they played but you didn't get to see him or hear him Is that why you're pissed off today? 2016 rock and roll Hall of Fame induct these cheap trick We didn't get to see one note. Well will this help you get over the anger that you're feeling right now because as we said the Browns beat the Steelers It's a victory Monday hit it Brian Friday. Hey, they're like a roll Hall of Famers Oh Komi gang got inducted a couple of years ago. I'll take it. You'll take it Yeah, cuz it is like a victory Monday, but it's Friday because they played on Thursday Yeah, we talked about this yesterday the worst thing about playing on Thursday is we don't get to watch football on Friday or on Sunday

Yeah, now you've got to wait till the following Sunday and that's okay because for the first time Since 2021 The Browns are three in a one and for the first time since 2014 They are in first place in the AFC North by themselves. I love that Thursday night football matters after all It's no joke Cleveland's won eight straight overall the long as active streak in the NFL Yep 10 straight at home including five against the Steelers Pittsburgh is O and 10 on the road Inside the division on Thursday night football. I think it matters. I told you the other day I'm riding the streak. I bet the Browns yesterday. I know I'm a Stuller's fan blast for me How can you bet on the Browns because I wanted to win money dog on it and I did I took the Browns on the money line Not with the point it was actually a good game to watch I mean it had everything in it and those two teams they really mirror each other They've got two quarterbacks. You don't know what's gonna happen with either one of them They're turned over machines at times, but at other times when you need them to drive you down the field

They both deliver. Yeah, how about the drive by Aaron Rogers after getting the crap kicked out of them all game long He he Quarterback sneak for the two point conversion. He said I didn't think they'd see that coming They didn't and then to Sean Watson while it wasn't the perfect drive He got him close enough where Schmidt happens. It's good and it's a winner This is a beautiful thing about having a veteran leadership underneath center and a guy that understands what the defense is giving you And that's the reason why Aaron Rogers stuck it. It's also the reason why in three games in a row The Sean Watson has been able to lead the team in a comeback victory at the last drive of the game Three straight weeks and again, he picked in Chose I think I said that right when he should use his legs yesterday And I thought he did another good now the one time. Yes, did he throw a pick? Yes, did he fumble? Yes, and two turnover. So it wasn't clean. It wasn't perfect But when the game was on the line he made big throws nice catch by Jerry Judy and on dude that kick from 56 yards

Would have been good from 76 yards The thing that scared the crap out of me was when he missed Harold Fanon in the fourth quarter on that final drive I thought oh boy this guy's reverting back to his normal self And I think what happens in the case of DeSean Watson is he's remembered how to play the game of football now Whether or not you want to give that credit to Todd Monkin I think I do because what I've told you over the last couple of years is it seemed as though Kevin's to Fancy was saddled with every quarterback he had and he couldn't get the best play out of any of them Todd Monkin has made a difference. It's only four games. I'll pump the brakes. It's too early Well, it's four out of 17 games there three and one and they're in first place and DeSean Watson looks somewhat like the DeSean Watson they thought they traded for five years ago, right? Yeah, if the weird thing is this I mean now you're gonna look at it and say okay the guys led three comeback victories Mm-hmm and the first thing is gonna come to mind is well Is it not no longer considered the worst trading sports history? I'm not gonna go that far yet

Right because what they had to give up to get him but the other question has got to be this And I've told you this all along if he has any level of success Then what so the the conversations in Berea have to be hey, we're gonna have to extend this guy because if they get into the playoffs Or they start looking like a good young Hungry team that learns how to win Why would you want to change quarterbacks and why would you want a rookie quarterback to draft someone if you draft a rookie next year You're still gonna have to have a veteran come in and teach him how to you know show him the ropes so to speak Now they have two first round picks next year right so and this is We're spitballing here, okay off the cuff So yourself what if he leads them to the playoffs and they resign him okay? Well, that means you're not picking his eye, okay, right? so Forget Jeremiah Smith. He's not in the equation So then you address some of your other needs with those two first round picks wherever they might be now Let's say you know there three and one this to go this goes south for whatever reason

Then you have to determine if you're picking top five do you get Jeremiah Smith or do you go after the court? So so many different ways this can still go but I'm gonna I'm gonna use the term a lot of athletes are using I'm gonna be where my feet are and right now my feet are in a chair on a radio show talking about the three and one Cleveland Browse with the shot Watson is a court thing in terms of this there's 13 games remaining in the regular season and They're already halfway home as far as the win total is concerned correct They gets called it at five and a half games so with three wins already they're halfway there you win six games You're not gonna have a high draft pick so it's gonna be a matter of who's available? Are we going to but the beautiful thing is this look we're talking about being all alone in first place right now And had they been one in three instead of three and one or dare I say oh and four we'd be talking about who the first pick would be in the draft And the first pick would be the number one overall pick. I don't care about archmanning any longer I don't care about Jeremiah Smith. I have two good young wide receivers would I like to have a Jeremiah Smith?

Yes, and what I like to have Jeremiah Smith over an archmanning from what I've seen so far the answer is still yes But guess what two first round draft picks how nice would it be to get a couple offensive lineman? Yes, that would help just a little bit the online still questionable too many penalties yesterday All right, so what was the play of the game for you? Looking back on the entire game all four courtes if you had to pick one play out one play that stands as the play of the game What was it for you? Obviously the game winning field goal? Okay for sure I mean because you don't expect that and that's where you learn how to win because we've seen the Browns and vent ways to lose games like this So when you have the opportunity and you drove the that seemed down the field into field goal range Mm-hmm to make it it was kind of a no-brainer and you felt good about that opportunity Were you at all thinking when Roger scored the two-point conversion they blew the fourth quarter lead here we go again I did not okay because from what we've seen the last two weeks I thought you know we've got him right where we want him and I said it yesterday if you keep it close and get to a last

Final drive and you've got the ball and let's face it what really scared me was a fact that they still left 10 seconds on the clock Because we saw what happened between Dallas and in Baltimore and all they needed to do is get in the field goal range They've got a pretty good kicker too even though he missed one yesterday my my thought was this You know on the last play when Roger throws the interception and I thought wait a minute We kicked the ball into the end zone you get the ball at the 35 yard line now right so he throws goes back to pass And I see okay Grant Dope it intercepts it on the 18 yard line. I'm like no He didn't well. Yes. He did yeah because when Aaron Rogers fades back to pass and he goes back to like the 28 He lets it rip Todd Monk in term and I'm thinking to myself okay I didn't think it went that far but it did yeah and all the way to the 18 he made a mistake there all he needed was 25 yards correct middle of the field get down run-ups if you can spike it can you try the field goal and It didn't go there way it went the Browns way in the Browns a winner and Cleveland was party in all night long last night

Yeah, they went they went hail Mary instead of thinking it out yeah, and so for me Okay, I get and your point is well taken and most people are gonna agree with you I'm gonna say the play of the game was Denzel Ward's interception at that point in the game the Steelers were up seven to nothing right and a 17 play nine minute drive 80 yards they have all the momentum they've dominated the first quarter They're driving towards midfield he makes that interception Second quarter starts Brown score 21 straight points the momentum for me changed on that pick By Denzel Ward and then the offense somehow some way came alive JT because that first drive They went three and I was like oh god and then the the Steelers had the ball for the rest of the first quarter basically So Denzel Ward you got a game ball afterwards as did Grant Delpert They both came up with picks one early in the game one to end the game so defensively I thought that was the the most important fine play of the game until the the final kick

We talked about Intangibles yesterday on the program and how important they are for a team like this and how you have to learn how to win when you're a young Team like the Cleveland Browns, you know, it's not much different from when we talked to mean Joe Green here in a few minutes When he came to Pittsburgh that was a losing organization He in fact helped change that culture a lot of people give him the credit for being the the person who really changed it and built the steel curtain And then they go to go on to win four Super Bowls in six years and everything else But you've got to change this thing and the thing is the Browns now are Expecting to win not finding ways to lose and that's the old Browns We can't be the old Browns any longer. I don't know how good this team is. I don't know if the Pittsburgh Steelers are any good I don't know if Carol Ann is any good, but the good thing is this you're sitting at three and one you're feeling good about yourself You're learning how to win and win ugly the Steelers Gave up five sacks and ten quarterback hits Aaron Rogers is going to be dead by the ninth game of the season if he makes it that far Mm-hmm, and that was with what no miles Garrett yesterday traded him

Mason Graham goes down luckily. It's only a sprain or something. He's not gonna be out the entire so there are two best pass Rusters from a year ago arguably didn't play yesterday and the Steelers offensive lines still stinks I've been saying that for years it is An evaluation of talent and their front office has been awful in recent years and the Browns They got sacks yesterday and let me put my cheaters on these are the guys that had sacks yesterday for the Browns Sam Williams. I have no idea Malik Collins. I remember him. Aiden Huntington. I kind of heard his name Isaiah McGuire and Mike Hall Jr Five sacks from guys not named miles Garrett Mason Graham or anybody else On the heels of three sacks last week five sacks this week. So that tells me the defense is playing lights out and They're doing a lot of defense and man-to-man coverage. So Rudy's really playing it calling a really great defense right now You're seeing this team and not only they beat Pittsburgh last night. They beat him up man They were much more physical. Yeah, they were owning the line of scrimmage

You didn't have to blitz because your interior line is making those five sacks every name on that list You just read I don't think any of them are a middle linebacker. Yeah, and Mason Graham Brian just handed me this sprained ankle sprained mcl Expected to only miss a few weeks So it could have been a hell of a lot worse for the Browns in rap report announced that a couple hours ago I shared it on Instagram and on Facebook and that's good news for the Browns I he's gonna probably miss the next couple of weeks, but that is good news Yeah, and so kudos to the Browns finding a way to win I was sitting there because I knew we were gonna interview Joe Green today, right? Prof. Paul Hall of Fame residency program and I'm watching the game I'm like could he suit up? I know he's 80 years old They needed some help on that defense because in that second quarter three consecutive drives with ease and then Watson Takes him down the field twice for field goals in the fourth quarter and After the game I watched the post game interviews with Mike McCarthy as well as TJ Watten TJ Watte was pissed. Yeah, did you see Rogers and McCarthy going at it? Everybody saw it not only do we see it we heard it and it was hysterical

Oh my gosh, but that wasn't the only argument going on between player and coach TJ Watte had issues with his defensive coordinator he grabbed the headsets from one of the coaches to talk to the D-Cord That's not a good sign when you're two Most famous players and faces of the franchise are arguing with coach This is what happens when you bring Aaron Rogers into the picture We told you that they had had run-ins when they were together in green Bay It's one of the reasons why Mike McCarthy was showing the door ends up in Dallas Now all of a sudden they want to give him the credit for getting Aaron Rogers to come back for one more year I know like it. I've never liked it, but Aaron Rogers looked better last night than I had anticipated I got to tell you you look pretty good. He almost threw for 300 yards. He hasn't gotten out of bed though Today yet because he's so sore he got clobbered man. I got clobbered Sunday too. That's what we're in That's what I'm saying. Sunday Thursday 42-year-old body doesn't recover You know that well after taking the beating and Brian if you're watching us on Facebook or are You know youtube page Brian's got a photo up of three browns gang tackling Aaron Rogers. This Joe Green guy

He's not gonna beat me up because the browns won yesterday. Is he? No, I don't think so Hopefully not yeah, he's in the building and we're gonna chat with him very shortly here And talk about you know what it meant to Start what is considered the greatest football dynasty Four super balls in six years and be the you know the focal point of that and still every stealer is He has set the standards. Oh high every stealer is compared to him especially on defec. He's the best and you live through you know the best pirate you live through the best Penguin Yeah, and you live through the best stellar. Yes without question. He is numero uno The greatest stealer of all time number 75 jersey retired So we're gonna chat with him shortly here as part of the residency Program from the pro football Hall of Fame Gotta give some love to the guardians too man. You're going tomorrow. Yeah, you're gonna go now See I can't my sister. She's listening. Hey sis. Love you. She's in the hospital Bounce and back and forth between here in Pittsburgh So I'm gonna stay home

Or possibly being Pittsburgh. We'll see But Tomorrow is a one o'clock start right so one o'clock guardians 330 Ohio State Buck guys I thought of you yesterday because I was wrong I thought Gavin Williams would get the game one start. It's Parker Messick. Are you surprised by that? I'm absolutely surprised by him But the thing that I really looked at is the fact that we were talking about day starts versus night starts We look at splits and we see that the difference in the ERA is about two runs day time to night time For Gavin Williams well five o'clock isn't exactly a nighttime start So when he starts Monday night. Yeah Monday afternoon. We'll call it. It's still gonna be light out So I mean the difference was this Parker Messick's numbers are different than that They actually flip flopped to where as Parker Messick's better at night time than he is during the daytime Not as big of a difference but better. I heard though that white socks hitters on average have a tougher time against lefties And that may have swayed Steven vote to go with the left hand or Parker Messick

I looked at their numbers against the white socks and neither one of them were outstanding But they were good enough Okay, and I don't think you that one of them really had a winning record But again when you're o and one who cares the idea here is the ERA The idea is you've got a young Chicago team in town You've got even though we're one of the youngest teams in baseball. Yeah, it's veteran led because we've been here before right We've been to the postseason hell they've won the division three times in a row. Yeah, no question I like the Guardians chances. I don't know how many games I liked it if there is a fifth game. It's at home and it's gonna be fun to watch listen to yeah Saturday at one Monday at five quickly before we get to the break Parker Messick last 30 days ERA 287 Gavin last 30 days 254 pick your poison nice to have both of these guys to start games one and two You see the postseason roster at least the ALDS roster doesn't have to be made until tomorrow morning Yeah, have you seen that Tanner bi B according to the athletic may be left out of the starting rotation? I'm not surprised by that if because of the left game with with foster Griffin

They may go with foster Griffin. They're calling for Joey Cantillo in a spino. Oh, geez. No, thank you. I'll pass Out of the work and fine as starters. No, I will pass on that last week of the season Well, no Joey Cantillo comes off the bench right but a spino's gets the start He's the opener and then you get Joey Cantillo. He's been lights out. Oh boy I don't know the splits. It's the games are a little bit more meaningful now I don't know if I still believe in those two, you know So hey, they're starting a bullpen guy in game one that's what worked for them in the wild card game one So who knows all hands on deck is the way you have to look at all right Let's get a break in right now when we come back. It is one of those Fridays We love these Fridays pro football Hall of Fame residency program Fridays and the greatest stealer of all time Pro football Hall of Famer class of 1987 Joe Green gonna join us next
