8:20And then he had me draw where my hands went. And it was about halfway. And it was incredibly hurtful and embarrassing. Thanks, Ray. You're welcome, Marvin. Ray. I thought it was great TV. Well, you're taking after Paulie. You sitting that chair. And I think by Osmosis, you become that kind of personality there. Mean spirited towards Marvin. Got humbled. Yes, Dylan. 9:21That this is going to be week to week. Now, it's his non-passing arm where he had the dislocation. Maybe I don't know if they can outfit him with a brace. How that would work. But it's his non-passing shoulder or arm. And he's now week to week. Not sure if Sam Darnold's going to play for Seattle. And I don't know if it matters right now. There's seven and a half point favorites in this game. As Drew Locke has played pretty well. But that was the update on Jaden Daniels. Still don't know about Caleb Williams for Monday night. And it still feels like, now I'm just kind of reading the point spread here. It stayed at four and a half. And the Eagles are favored by four and a half over the Bears. I get the feeling Vegas thinks Caleb Williams is going to play in that game. Because that's why the betting line is I thought it would be around six and a half. You have something on that, Ray. I was going to ask you, Dan. Are you worried about your Eagles Super Bowl pick? They played the commanders. They won by two and they barely squeak past the Titans.

10:23They won by four. But they won. Yeah, an ugly game. But they, but they won. That's all I care about now. Just win. Like Denver has the Rams and the Rams are in Denver. And the Rams are favored by two and a half. That makes me a little more nervous about my AFC pick. Yes, Dylan. Yeah, I actually think that line. I think that line is indicative of them playing with the back up the Bears. I think if Caleb Williams is playing, it might actually be a good two and a half game or something. I don't think the Eagles. I don't think they're that sold on the Eagles. And the last we saw of Caleb Williams was a pretty electric performance in that first game. Well, you are the gambling expert here on the show. That is true. Quite the expert. I actually do. I think the Seahawks thing is actually more interesting because we saw it last week with when they played the Cardinals, right? The line didn't move at all when Sam Darnold was officially declared out and drew. Lock was going to be playing. It's kind of crazy. Literally they just won the Super Bowl and how little it seems they value him at least from the betting standpoint in Vegas.

11:29Ray, do you have Caleb Williams stats versus the Eagles last year? Last year was a pretty ugly game. The Bears did win, which I know that's all you care about. But Caleb 17 to 36 154 a touchdown and an interception. Kyle Menungai ran crazy 130 yards in a touchdown. Remember that. I couldn't help but think last night I'm watching Drake London. And then I'm going 10 targets, nine receptions. Like he looked great. You look like Julio Jones. And then I thought, you know, let me check the roster here. USC roster in 2019. USC lost five games in 2019. They're wide receivers. Drake London. I'm on Ross St. Brown in Michael Pittman, Jr. Kedon Slovus was the passer for the Trojans. The QB Clay Hilton was the head coach. That's three great or very, very good wide receivers. And you lose five games. Wow. Yes, Todd.

12:29What do you think about that 194 numerology essentially like five o'clock in the morning that B. John Robinson rushed for 194 yards and Drake London 194 receiving yards. That's a pretty special thing. And unique. I thought. No. It's a doing a USC football. But I made a little bit of a left turn. We were talking about. It's okay. I'm going to Drake London. Okay. I think the Grammys threatened. He'd never win another Grammy if he didn't send the Grammy back. I said, wait a minute. How do they, they can't hold that against you that you won't win a Grammy because I have your Grammy? Yes, Todd. Did the Heisman people get just as upset as the Grammy people? How many people have we had on where they're like, where do you keep your Heisman you asked them? You're like, I'm just in the garage somewhere. I gave it to my grandma. I don't know where it is. It's laying on the floor and the basement. I would have thought you display the Grammy. Nobody else is going to see it. He had it in his bedroom. And I thought we can put it on display here. And it would be positive, promotional for the Grammys. But they didn't like the fact that we had, I had it on my desk. And they're like, oh, you got to send me that Grammy back. I'm like, all right, buzzkill.

Well, I tell you what, obviously, you know, my comments earlier the week kind of blew up a little bit. Obviously it depends on what side you come from, but My comments were based off of back in 2007 had the same injury dislocated my elbow and Came back and played the next week and so It was one of those things where obviously there was pain. I obviously had to brace it up Kind of had to learn how to hand off with my right hand in both directions Just different little things like that that caused me some discomfort You know, but but it's one of those things where you're trying to give a fan base

28:28I'm hope that the seasons not over that there's a possibility of coming back in the short term and obviously we're hearing that Possibility with Jaden today, so excited about that because he was playing some good football How did you dislocate your elbow? Another Hall of Famer and Julius Peppers The ball was on the ground and I went to reach forward with my left hand and That full body weight of that six seven whatever pound man Landed on my left elbow, so Yeah, it wasn't it wasn't gonna stay intact at that point Does it affect your throwing even though it's your non throwing? But if you're going back to pass or holding the ball, how does that impact you? Not not really a factor for the most part your left hand really isn't Involved with a lot of your throwing as with anything and with any injury you got to get used to You know some of those nuances of playing with an injury like that or playing with a brace and working through some of it But it doesn't really affect that part of it and that's why you know for me

29:32It was it was something that I could come back from and and really the bottom line Dan You know is when you suffer an injury as a player, you know one of your questions is always can I make it worse? Is this something that if I play now it will affect me in the long term and the answer for me was no? You know that this wasn't going to be something that was gonna linger prevent me from doing the anything in the future And so for me it was as long as I can deal with that pain and figure out how to hand the football off I'm gonna go back out there and play But is it part of gamesmanship if you're facing a defense and they know you have a dislocated left elbow? Were they letting up on you and not going after that? I mean, I Don't know. I mean I doubt it. I think you know how the NFL works is that I don't know the probably not going out of their way You know to test it, but they're definitely not staying away from it and you know for me Dan you know in that time that I was playing they would actually take me out when we got into the tight red zone

30:33You know so I would have to go the sideline because of some of the nuances of playing in those tight confinement and handing the football off and doing some of those things So you know was it was a work in progress trying to figure out what I could do and what I couldn't do But you know the fact that I could play I could think I could throw You know and I wanted to get out there with with my guys and play All right, here's your task fix the green Bay Packers. Oh Oh man They got a lot of issues right now across the board. I don't know what's fixable You know last night it was you know both lines were dominated and That's always been the case you know you can talk about football and you know all the high flying offences and all the stuff It always comes back to Offensive defensive lines and you know that was no more prevalent than I saw last night But really this past week of the teams that really got beat in the NFL were the teams that got dominated up front And right now the Packers aren't very good on either side

31:36They're not getting off blocks on defense offensively And you know there's been all the talk about how little time Jordan love had to throw and how many you know Missed blocks and missed one-on-ones and missed assignments were up front But until they get that fixed that you know they can't even address You know some of the other issues are figure out some of the other issues that are going on Some of the games that you've called the season Patriots Seahawks Broncos Chiefs Giants Rams and Monday night Eagles and the Bears Are you expecting Caleb Williams to play Monday night? I? Don't expect him to play on Monday night I love the news that it doesn't seem like it's gonna be a long-term thing But just knowing the way that Caleb plays You know and again seeing the nature of the injury obviously it wasn't as bad as maybe it looked like on the field But seeing the nature of that and knowing the movement Being such a big part of what Caleb does I can't believe they're gonna rush him out there I can't believe he's gonna be there definitely on Monday nights And I feel like it's going to be a few week

32:40You know injury or you know him on the sidelines for a few weeks So we can get back healthy So Winnie does play he can be the Caleb Williams that we've seen over the last couple years He's Kurt Warner. He'll be on the call Sunday October 4th from London It'll be the colds taking on the commanders when you saw Drake May Well, let me put it to you this way Are there any concerns about Drake May this season from what you've seen? I do have some concerns. I feel like he's lost his confidence You know through the playoff run and maybe it was specifically the Super Bowl And then when he came back this year I feel like he's playing very conservative. I feel like he's aiming the football instead of seeing it and ripping it Which was what he was so good at last year during the season pushing the ball down the field and You know not afraid to make those throws and I feel right now You know he's looking to not make a mistake as opposed to looking to attack and make every throw

33:41And I believe their defense is really good then I think they're gonna keep them in a lot of games But they've got to get more from their offense and specifically from Drake to get back to Believe in himself and believe in he can make these throws and not worrying about the mistakes, right? I mean, it's part of it. You're gonna have some interceptions But you don't want interceptions because You're you know you're tentative and you're not back there when you see it You're not ripping it and you're trying to be perfect with every throw You got to just go play and if there's a mistake you let it go and you move on because you know You're gonna overcome that mistake and I just don't see that with Drake right now And I hope he can get back to that in the short term because I mean obviously good young quarterback that we saw great things from a year ago People can't mention Aaron Rogers name without mentioning how old he is but What is the first thing that starts to go in a quarterback? Let's take mobility out of this But what goes first the older you get Um, well, I mean, yeah, I mean, I think it's all the physical part goes first

34:43I don't believe it's the mental side of of things I think Aaron's still as sharp as ever and knows what he's doing and looking at I think maybe when we talk about the physical Could be the arm, but Aaron doesn't have an issue with his army so gifted But it could be the mentality of as you get older and you know knowing you may not be able to take as many hits and And wanting to play the game a little bit differently get the ball out of my hands as opposed to holding the pocket standing there deliver it down the field take the big hits You know that that's a part of the mentality that I think can change as you get older and you know We used to see guys like Peyton and like hey, I'm just gonna go down take a sack like I'm gonna avoid the hit I'm gonna go down and take a sack So I believe that mentality can change a little bit as you get older But I do believe it's mostly physical And you know Aaron maybe lost a step in terms of his mobility But still has some mobility mobility as I said I don't think he's lost anything or at least you know nothing noticeable from the arm that he can't make certain throws

35:45So I think that's where he's at, but I mean he got beta I mean you could beat up like he did last week they got dominated up front It can't be fun at any age, but at 42 years old where you probably don't bounce back and recover the same That was a rough one for Aaron Help me understand Justin Herbert because Jim Harbaugh has been praising him and he could go down as the greatest quarterback of all time What's going on? We all know he's got the ability to be that guy and we've seen moments and we've seen him put up big yards and all of that stuff The big thing for me with all quarterbacks is are you playing a system that fits? What they do well in my question coming into the season was Does Justin Herbert skill set match what I saw Mike McDaniel do um Down in in Miami You know not that that's necessarily what they had to do in Los Angeles But what they did in Miami was a lot of kind of the Kyle Shanahan base

36:46You know play action turn your back hit your back foot let the ball go We're not necessarily having you Read defenses so to speak like hey. Hi. Hello. If this guy goes there you If you can fit it in fitted in that hole can throw it over the linebacker Can you fit it in between those you know two or three defenders and I've always felt that Justin Herbert was a guy that wanted to Process it more wanted to see it and then rip it with his big arm and that's where he's at his best And so when I watch for the first two weeks I see a quarterback that is a little tentative Doesn't seem fully comfortable in what they're asking him to do doesn't mean he can't do it doesn't mean he won't grow into that But it just doesn't feel like what he's comfortable with here in day one week one week two And so you know, there's a lot of things out there that say and you got to just in that offense You got to let it rip you got to you know find a way to make that throw and and right now He's not making some of those and again. He's not the only issue. He's still making a lot of plays for them But they've got issues up front You know, they've got issues on the outside some tipped interceptions those kinds of things

37:48But I think it starts with Justin getting comfortable to the point where he sees it hits that back foot And lets the ball go because that's the nature of what that offense has been the last few years Anything different with Matthew Stafford as far as just his technique. I know he's got a better team and you know, you got Sean McVey but He maybe he's been this all along. It was just he was playing in Detroit Yeah, I believe he's been a lot of this all along That he's had a lot of this you know, he's had all this ability and the ability to to make different throws and and read defenses I believe in Detroit He put more on his shoulders to try to make The special plays or reads that other guys couldn't because they didn't have a team around him that could help him And now that he's got to loss angelus He's either had the team around him offensively or the team around him as a whole Where he doesn't feel like he's got to take as many chances now he still does

38:50Some incredible things and take some chances with the football and make some throws that most guys in this league aren't even going to attempt and definitely can't make But I feel like he he's able to play mentally Different than he played in Detroit and and I believe that's where that came from kind of this You know this idea that a Matthew Stafford, you know, plays this way or you know takes too many chances with the football Throwes too many interceptions. I believe a lot of that was oriented based on his situation there And now you get a good team around you and you realize you can play the game a little bit differently And now we're seeing him you know play at the high level But not making the same kind of mistakes that maybe he made in in Detroit Good to talk to you save travels over to London.
