Good Music, Boiled Peanuts & the Great Outdoors

What do good music, boiled peanuts, and the great outdoors have in common? A whole lot of Southern tradition and a great story! On this episode of The Captain’s Log Radio, I sit down with Brent Underwood and Bart Latimore from The Peanut Patch to talk about their journey, their love of music, and how they’ve turned one of the South’s most iconic snacks into a household name. We get into the story behind The Peanut Patch, how boiled peanuts go from the farm to the can, the different flavors they offer, and some creative ways to enjoy them. The guys also share stories from life on the road, their experiences at outdoor events, and what it’s like introducing people across the country to a true taste of the South. We also talk about the outdoors, fishing, and the role that Southern traditions play in bringing people together. Plus, Brent and Bart share their musical journeys, from playing gigs to recording in Nashville, and the importance of staying true to yourself along the way. Whether you love the outdoors, live for good music, or enjoy a bag of boiled peanuts on your next adventure, this episode is full of laughs, stories, and a little Southern flavor!
