Tim Ryan here with your Bay Area team and Ford. Now get a California Explorer annual day use pass with your purchase or lease of a brand new Bronco or Bronco sport. It's got goat mode like your players driving to the game or off-roading. There's seven available modes. Ford is America's number one for new vehicle quality among mainstream brands. Visit your California Ford dealer today proud partner of California State Parks. Named by JD Power 2026 US Initial Quality Study Award. Information visit JDpower.com slash awards awards based on 2026 model year. To the faithful. To the nation. And to those who bleed orange and black. Good morning. This is Murphy and Marcus. Ryan Murphy and Marcus the Water Boy Boucher streaming live at twitch.tv slash the sports leader sputtered by bigot.
Grab a mug and tea. Proud. Yeah, you got a couple of dudes ready to take a road trip. Here's what you got on this Wednesday morning. Marcus and I have our bags packed. See you at cash. A creek casino tomorrow. The always traditional Thursday cash creek casino visit in September. But no, we're looking forward to a Patrick Wilson of our own. That's tomorrow. But we're in road trip mentality. It's getaway day. It's getaway day for us. Get away day for the giants in St. Louis. Actually, it's welcome back day for the 49ers who we haven't heard from since Friday. My god, they're finally going to appear in Santa Clara today and show their faces. We'll get all the updates before they take on the Miami Dolphins Sunday at one 25. We've got two tickets in field passes for that today. Niners 13 and a half point favorites last time I checked up. A lot of fun stuff in our minds as we get ready for the Niners get ready for a roadie. Marcus and admire 461 feet of homers from. Oh, yeah.
A guy is having a really good rookie year, Bryce Eldridge. So good morning, brother. Happy Wednesday. Merv happy. Home day. My man. Happy Wednesday morning. The San Francisco giants are on the road in St. Louis. The 49ers are unpacking their bags in Santa Clara and I still have to pack my bag today to get ready for a cash creek trip. So no, I don't think both of us are ready, but I'll pack my bags all hop in the car and we will be at cash creek casino tomorrow morning. That is true. I did throw together just a little, little fricking overnight thing. I guarantee you I forgot three or four things. I don't know. What do I need? I don't know, but I forgot it. Yeah. And I don't know. Three or four things you're going to lose or leave behind one or two of those things at cash creek. I mean, what do I do with my kids? Because now this is that for the third time in like last two weeks, Rory left his backpack after practice, water pole practice. And you know, we live up the hill five minutes up till you got to go back down. And how can I get mad at him when I do it all the time? I mean, the Apple does not fall far from the tree. Wasn't it just a few weeks ago when he left his laptop on the
plane? That's correct. Yeah. Also, Apple trees, trees, Apple products. I'm, you know, I'm finally I'm embarrassed to admit this because I've had the book in my hands for a long, long time. But I'm finally diving deeply into Mike Silver's The Y is everything. I'd read parts of it. But I'm finally sitting down to read committing to reading it. And Kyle Shanahan apparently is a serial lever behind of keys and cell phones and wallets. Apparently he's, he's hopeless. Huh? He's hopeless. Because he know why he's just watching a freaking film. He's breaking down. He's watching film. He's a lunatic. So anyway, so we have good company. Those who leave cell phones, keys and wallets, raise your hands. Hey, wallets. Yeah. All right. It's the sign of a mastermind. You, you're pretty good. Oh, yeah. I am pretty good at keeping track of my keys, wallet. Like I always do the three point check every time like I leave a room. So I heard this from my buddy Red Bear. His grandpa used to say when they would leave the house, ready for this? Testicles, spectacles, wallet and watch. Wow. That's a hell of a check down. That was it. See, I'm not checking my testicles and spectacles before leaving the house. He would leave a house. He would say, Oh, testicles, spectacles, wallet and watch.
So, but you are really good about stuff. You're like, Oh, you always have your teeth crossed in your eyes, Don. Yeah. I know. Knock on wood. I don't lose stuff very often. Now I have like the fear of having to replace it and spend money because I'm a pretty frugal dude. Like I don't like wasting money. Well, you wasted on $25 beers constantly. That's true, but when I'm able to cut the price in half when I'm spending five six dollars on a beer down in San Jose, old San Jose muni shut up the San Jose giant's last night game two of the low age championship series where they turned it into a full blown beer better night. The entire game. Half off beer prices down in San Jose. That's actually incredible. And the only way I can think of it now is they're trying to, they're trying to outdo us because we've pulled it off on a big league. Yeah, they heard about the Murphy Marcus beer special. So they knew they had to slash the prices. That's what the competition. They say iron sharpened tire. You know, we're making like, you know, I mean, we're out here working for the people. We're getting you guys the beer prices
you guys need and San Jose giant. So like we got to keep up. Yeah, we got you beer. This is the Adam Smith. This is the invisible hand guiding the market. I love it. I love it. So wow, congrats on half price beer night down. Oh, yeah. And I had a few to celebrate the first no hitter by the San Jose giants at Excite Ballpark, AKA old San Jose muni. And wait, no hitter. Yes, it was a Kono a combine no hitter for your San Jose giants. I gotta tell you one of the great. You're not a Kono guy. You're not a Kono guy at all. Is anybody all take a Kono over no, no, no, I mean, kind of. I don't almost rather have a one hit. In fact, I know I would rather have a one hit complete game than a Kono. Yeah, but it was exactly at 605 on Wednesday, September 16th, that I said the phrase Kono for the first time. I'm like, dude, I've been trying to get murved to embrace the Kono for a couple of years now. Well, yeah, it's not going to happen. Well, I mean, anyway, you you'll take a Kono. I said it now twice. Hell yeah. Over a complete game one hitter. Well, dude, come on now. It's like a wide world of walk. Yeah, that is an
interesting question. Now you do have to put it in context. It's minorly baseball. They're not going to let young 19, 20, 20 year old pictures go out there and throw nine and eight. And I stop you right there and say, why not? Yeah. And as I'm spitting out that sentence, I'm thinking about our guy Quinn Matthews. We just all deal against the Giants the other night and say Lewis. And the time he threw 156 pictures with like 16 strikeouts down on the farm, down at sunken diamond for Stanford just a couple of years ago while only being 18, 19, 20 years old. So you're right. It's just I don't think any big league team wants their minor league pictures. They're putting that type of stress on their arms. We're here to play. Anyway, I digress. I know my guy, Archenius, Kamaya last night, five and strong seven strikeouts on the night was dealing and then they take him out of the game. I need to know this name. Oh, yeah, he's actually ranked the 17th best prospect in the giant system currently. What's his name? Archenius Kamaya. Wow, you nailed that. You nailed that. I think I nailed it. How apologies if I did not. That's the first time you seen Joshua in person. First time I got to see Joshua in person.
How does he look? And man, oh man, the looks. He's got the most aura in the building. Like he has the look of already like a future big league player. He's got the bright orange cleats. He's got like the Capri style pants. Nice tight braids with a fresh lineup. Only went one for five on the night. Wasn't too overly impressive. Did strike out with the bases loaded in a big situation, but had a base knock RBI and his fifth at battle the night. Overall, I liked what I saw. What I'd like to see a little bit more. I was a bit bummed out. I didn't see Luis Hernandez, but it was hurt. He's hurt right now, but he was in the dugout. And every time Joe Schwerkins always would go back to the dugout, it was a two of them hanging out at the end, just kind of cracking jokes. Yeah, I was keeping an eye on that release. So he's whipped with the bases loaded. 808 KMB. Our Joe Schwerkins, all this is a bust. Yeah, overrated. But did come through with a knock in his fifth at bat. So yeah, overall, good night. So no, that was game two of the series. They lost the first series. So tonight is the winner take all championship game down in San Jose. It's in San Jose. Yes. So I'm guessing half price beer prices once again, because I thought you sent out a picture and it said, thanks, you to the best fans in my early baseball. And I thought that was because it was the last home game.
So if the giants would have lost last night, the San Jose giants, of course, it would have been the last game of the season. But because they won a force game three of the championship series, one more game in San Jose. I hope they weren't having like a negative promo. Like this might be our last home game. No, well, I think it was a bit of fan appreciation. But also, I think they didn't want to take beer home with them in the off season. I think they knew it could potentially be the last game. So they said, let's tap the kegs. Let's give away half price beers all game long, which by the way, they do do this during the regular season. We talked so much about the beer batter and about how there's a strikeout and it's half price beers for that entire inning. But every Thursday, the San Jose giants have a beer batter Thursday night where all draft beers are half off every Thursday night. And it's an entirely reasonable way to run your business. Absolutely. Thank you, San Jose giants for making a profit off of so on beers for six, seven bucks a piece. What? Don't get us started. Well, that got us so much started. We we caused a revolution and it's happening a week from today. We've started a movement day game with, by the way, six dollar and eighty cent view level seats and $10 and 45 cent bleacher seats to match the six dollar and eighty
cent courz lights and $10 and 45 cent Corona's that we launched for KMBR beer day, which is going down. Actually, I think they don't want to call it KMBR beer day. They don't want like a reprise the Cleveland Indians disco demo. It was intense. I get confused. One was disco demolition night. That was Chicago. Tencent beer night was Cleveland. Yeah. There were two legendary fan like savage incidents in the late seventies. And one was Cleveland beer Tencent beer night. Tencent beer. Tencent. And the other one was disco demolition night at a Kamiski park. And they encouraged people in between games with double headed to bring disco albums to blow up and a full blown riot ensued. Yeah. People storm in the stadium climb in the walls. That wasn't you last night. No, no, no, no, and I can report safely that even on a night where San Jose was going away half price beers. There were no riots. Nobody was out of control. Nobody was flipping tables and burning down cars. It was a nice civilized crowd in San Jose. Were there long lines? Uh, yeah, it was kind of interesting because even though it was beer better night, they still played the music when the beer batter came up to bat and the beer batter struck out. And everybody
immediately ran to the lines. I'm like, yeah, yo, boys, calm down. Like we should not be rushing to the beer venues right now. All beer is half price. But because of the beer batter, the beer that was served in cans was also half price. They call that a Pavlovian response. Just the beer batter. They must go to beer line. Yeah, yeah, just kind of that instant reaction. But overall, great performance from top to bottom and the two relievers that came in after my boy, Arhenius pitch five inning strong were two guys that the giant strapped it this year in the 2026 draft a six round arm and a 10th round arm who both completed the Kono. My man is down there boots on the ground. We're going to ignore the Kono and enjoy that. You know what? Give you a round of applause. Thank you. That was a great report. And while we're on it, we might as well call in the big one because ladies and gentlemen, we had a significant moment in San Francisco Giants baseball history last night. Ladies and gentlemen, it is now mathematically guaranteed that the 2026 San Francisco Giants will not lose 100 games. As overnight dev said.
Over nine days. They got 99 problems, but 100 losses ain't won. That was an overnight day. Well, pretty good. Oh, D Dr. Barz. I didn't know D had a Jay Z down there. But anyway, it is if you don't know what we're talking about the quest for 63 has been reached. They did it. And now Marcus with let's see, they got 10 left. They went six of their last 10. You get your 69. Yes, we do. I'm still on that quest for 69. She's supposed to say nice. Nice. Anyway, it is blade. Ted well going six and two thirds. It's Shane Robinson flipping open the phone. The Motorola Razor 2003 version that I think Oso Diggie Zua was on yesterday. I want to listen to said. Colin Rob Manfred and Manfred said, did you do it Shane? Did you avoid 100 losses? He said, we did it, Commissioner. You bet your ask, we did it. Put it in the book San Francisco Giants 10 St. Louis Cardinals. Three.
Beautiful Facebook. Beautiful Facebook. Oh, yes. Beautiful. Oh, that's beautiful. I want to say something to the five. You guys need to get loud. Make some noise. Color mentality. You know, gun hole. God didn't put a spirit of fear in me. It's like Ryan Slown. I can't believe it. I want to be the place he's franchise and that's something that motivates me every day. And then how would you assess Logan's lane overall? Like waffle fries from Chick-fil-A. Really, really good. We're just been told that Ron Votus during the line of cards was ejected from the game. There it is. By the way, in that win package you hear Matt Chappen says, get some noise from Tony Bees first, Plycan Win. He said, and then there's only going to be 62 more. Let's make some noise for Tony, not losing 100 games. Well, now they enter the race to where they finish in terms of all time worst Giants teams. I think the next mark is the 2017 team. Man is by Bruce Bochi.
And Buster Bochi and catcher. That lost 98. We got to brush over that. Don't rely on Plyan boy. Nice. I've heard that in a while. So they got to win three. They got to win three or is it two? No, they got to win two of their last 10 to avoid that that igno. So they could be the third worst team in San Francisco. By the way, we had a couple home runs yesterday, including that guy who's in that win package. He hit the Grand Semi said he wants to be the face of the franchise. Well, he's doing a pretty good job of it. 461 feet Bryce Eldridge number 17. It's Bob. Baby. Yeah. You know what people are looking forward to? Why they're looking forward to the lockout? Is they don't have to hear that anymore? Yeah. But I'd say it's worth the trade off. If we can get a Bryce Ojritch home run, I'll take the bye bye baby, even if is a bad version of us singing. How about a guy who is intriguing? Is he going to be part of the 2027 giants? You would have thought yes, the way he played for about a couple weeks, but he cooled off a lot the last couple of weeks. But now he's heating up again because Turner Hill hit his
first major league home run number one. It's Bob. Baby. Congrats to Turner Hill. And you see Sarah Langs at the stat on Bryce Eldridge. Most home runs by a giant in franchise history, age 21 or younger 1929 Melod hit 42. Shout out Melod. 1959 Orlando's subeta, the baby bull hit 26, rookie of the year. And actually one in 58. I apologize. 1958. He had 25. So I'm back to back years. He was 21 or younger. So paid a 25 and 26 1930 Melod hit 25. He was a baby hitting a lot of home runs. 1951 Willie Mays hit 20 1928. Melod hit 18 and then 2026 Bryce Eldridge was 17. So the only guys on the list of 21 or younger with that many home runs are Melod, Orlando, subeta and Willie Mays. How about that? Damn. Pretty good. Now, Murf, can I match your Sarah Langs stat with my own Sarah Langs stat? If you don't mind because she also put out this tweet yesterday on
Bryce Eldridge's 460 foot home run. Most home runs by a player 21 or younger to travel more than 450 feet. Okay. Number one all time since the stat cast error going back to 2015. Oh, 2020. 15. Yes. I mean, that's the thing with the stat cast error. But hey, it's a Sarah Langs stat. So I'm going to give it to you. Ellie De La Cruz with four in 2023, Ronald Acunia with three in 2019. Carlos Corea with three in 2016. And now Bryce Eldridge joins that list with three home runs this season over 450 feet. And crap, you know what? Get some applause for that. That's fantastic. This kid is last 28 games. Bryce Eldridge is hitting 343 with 28 ribs. Stay hot, Bryce. Mommy. And he did the hula. There you go. All right. Well, listen, wine Giants opening segment there a little bit of San Jose Giants half beer price and a little to Bryce Eldridge going for 61. We'll get the guest list from Walt on the other side. It is a shorter show because of the day baseball today. And we got two tickets to the 49ers in the dolphins

That one is on vacation. Whoa. What a shot. 113 miles an hour off the bat of Bryce Eldridge over the Cardinal Bullpen over the first section of bleachers a walkway and then up into a whole other section of the bleachers and that is a tape measure home run and that's one of the longest that I've seen in this ballpark to that part of the yard. Wow. A lot of fun. Listen, we're clinging. We talked about it. We're clinging to baseball,
particularly on a Tuesday and there's no NFL, no college football, nothing's going on. We'll get going 49ers dolphins this week as the Niners do some media today. We'll see how their bodies adjusted as they come back. Kyle Eustrick actually did some Peter Schroeger podcast. He feels pretty good. Again, what's he gonna say? I feel terrible. But anyway, point is is that you go to a baseball game or you cling to your giants because they're going to be away. They're going to be no more time. It's after Sunday the 27th and I know most of you're like, yeah, thank God, but it's way more fun watching these kids play. And Bryce Eldridge 461, Marcus has gave you the stats. He's on a short list of guys. That young who fit that many tape measure shots in one season. There's also a list on Twitter. Yes, last night, a non-course field list. Yeah, because a lot of those are at course field. For example, Mani Machado went 455 last night at course field. And I think outside of course field this year, I think that's the longest giants home run of the season. There you go. There you go. And 27. I was just speaking of home runs. I was just showing Marcus. You know, last night was kind of a quiet night. Like I said, you know, getting ready for
the giants get away day to day. Sharks start their exhibition season Sunday by the way. Get ready for that. Well, I was driving through San Jose yesterday. I'm my way to Old San Jose Muni, Aka Aka, Exile Ballpark. And I saw people on the streets full head the toe in Sharks gear. You know why it's Sharks territory. Sharks territory. I'm back in shark infested waters. But one of the things that happened last night in baseball was that Pete Alonzo, the formerly beloved New York Giant New York Met pardon me, made his return to city field as a Baltimore Oriole and hits his 300th home run in the ninth inning in the to off of Kodai Senga to tie the game. A game that owes eventually win. And it was his 36th bomb of the year. His is 300th career. Met's fans, even though he hit a home run that cost the Met's of victory gave him a curtain call. A road curtain. I gotta say that's pretty good fandom night there. I mean, I don't know if
giants fans are capable of that. I really, I mean, I say that as a giant stream. I don't know. Well, in fact, I know they're not because I sit out there. I can't even get people to go. I can't even get people. I can't get people to yell. Webby after he has a 123 fourth inning. You know, I mean, I'm out there going, Webby and people like shut up, man, you're bumming me out. So Met's fans giving her curtain call. But what really happened that hit Twitter. Thank God for social media showed Pete Alonzo the three fans who caught it were all guys. They look like they're in their late 20s. Maybe two of them are in Alonzo, Jersey's ones in a Carlos Delgado, Jersey. But Pete Alonzo has one of the great interactions you'll see. I just showed it to Marcus. First of all, he comes out, gives them all of his time and energy. He's so thankful that they bring him the 300th ball. He then says, well, I want to do stuff for you guys. Can I sign your jerseys? They're all turned around. He's writing on their back and they're all wearing Pete Alonzo meds jerseys ones in Delgado, but he writes Pete Alonzo 300th game. Then he's like, I need to get you guys more stuff. He comes back with three bats. He's like, I want to write whatever you want.
He goes, don't be bashful. Write whatever you want on his then. Then he disappears. It comes back with three cans of Miller light. Oh, to a couple cold ones. Then he poses for pictures within. They're all slugging down the Miller lights. Then afterwards, he's like, honestly, guys, whatever you need, anytime in New York, he's like, Paul's over the S side or the media relations guy gets all their info. And this one guy goes, you're going to make me want to move to Camden Yard. So it was just a nice little, what can happen in baseball moment there? Yeah, it was a really cool moment for Pete Alonzo, the fact that he hit number 300 against the meds where he spent the majority hell, his entire career leading him to this season. And I think that kind of plays a part with the meds fans giving him a standing ovation. It was cool to see them acknowledge Pete Alonzo, the polar bear. But also, I think it was part in protest of the season they're having and their decision not to bring back Pete Alonzo because meds fans love the polar bear. And I know that they were all pissed off to see him walk away this off season. You know, two summers ago, we went to New York, Rory played in that Cooperstown 12 year old tournament. And then we went to New York in
Boston and we were driving into New York and I told the kids, I go, Hey, kids, listen up, I'm going to do something I put on WFAN. I went to you guys to hear real sports talk, great. And dude, this was a day in early August. And there was about, I don't know, six straight calls about Pete Alonzo's future. And guys were losing their mind. I don't want to lose Pete. My kids were, how they're like, Dad, these guys are real calling. I can't. And they were, they were mimicking. They got like, I don't want to lose Pete. I don't want to lose Pete. And I mean, that's the way they talk back there. Yeah. And then they lost Pete. Yeah. And he was a fan favorite. And I remember when he signed with the Orioles, there was a bunch of kind of responses like that from New York meds fans. And it's only gotten work for the New York meds. Like we've talked about how bad of a season it's been here for the San Francisco Giants. The meds are spending damn near more money than everybody else, not named the Dodgers. And they're one of the worst teams in baseball. Now that said, five years, one 55 was a smart deal for Baltimore. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Um, five years, one 55. And what's his age? That's the question. He's 31. Yeah. He's 31 now. I mean, I don't think it's
going to pay off towards the back end of his contract. But for the next three, four years, I mean, he's still one of the best power hitters in the game has what 30 something home runs is using. 36. Yeah. Yeah. So he's still his bombs. He's still worth it. He make the comp to devours. A little bit. Yeah. I mean, in the sense of age production, you know, is it too much money? I mean, so he's, I mean, devours is theoretically 29 30 something like that. What is he 29? Yeah. Devours is 29. So a little bit younger than him. And I think the point that I was trying to spit out there is that if you get a bat, a power bat like that on the free agent market, most of the time you have to overpay anyways. Uh, yeah. Correct. Like, like those guys are not available. And that's why you have to give out those long contracts. And that's why the red socks were trying to get off that Rafael Devers long contract. And to be honest, why we've had to kind of revisit this always with with buster and the trade is that that's why buster made the trade because no sluggish people on the free agent giants fans want. He wasn't coming here. He wasn't coming here. Even though they had the Coca Cola bottle out there, which would have been perfect advertising for the polar bear. Yeah. There you go. Buddy. There you go. All right. A bunch of Coca Cola commercials. Let's get the guest list going on a Wednesday,
September 16, 2026. The guest list is sponsored by El Sridohana more than just a card dealership. We are family. Well, how was your Roberto Clemente celebration? Did you, uh, you're doing the special after work there, buddy? Oh, you know, just kind of hung out. Went into a went into a pool and just just kind of kind of chilled and enjoyed and relaxed all day. Nothing specific for Roberto Clemente. No, no, no. Did you, uh, did you drink a couple surfsides to celebrate Roberto Clemente? Absolutely not. Yeah. I had to tell that I had to tell Walter the story about that about how the Pittsburgh pirates got in a little bit of hot water when they put a large size surfside can over Roberto Clemente's number on the Alfred Wall. That is terrible. Yeah. That's bad. Yeah. That's bad. But I do love myself an ice cold surfside only on the whole calories. No bubbles. So it goes down nice and easy. It's just kids learning. All right. What do we got today? Well, all right. So on the guest list, we're going to start it off with the
wide world of waltz. I don't know what questions we're going to ask you, but if we're going to ask it at 715, I love it, man. There was the midpoint of the week. We start to turn the ship a little bit towards the weekend and I like being, uh, you know, grilled by the master. Walt. All right. What a master. Yes, master. And then we got a Dwayne Kiper at 730. Uh, no, no, we do not. That is wrong. It's a Wednesday. We have my crew. You still have your hungover. I'm hungover from, uh, from, yeah, I got my crew go. Okay, my crew go at 730. Drank so much outside just right now. I'm a saying. Gris. Did you have a Roberto Clint today, everybody? Everybody. Yeah. Dwayne Kiper. No, we don't. Uh, you can see the mistake. Here's some push-ups. Here's some proof. Uh, I did the, I did the old Ron Burgundy. Now, now I'm checking this. I'm reading the rest of this. What else? We got, we got, we got, my crew go at 730. Then we got cooler of content at 815. There we go. Then we got Ron Rivera at 830. Yeah. Roni, Ron. And we'll wrap it up with Matt Meyoko at 850 because we have
Giants baseball pregame starts at 915 plus we're giving away those 49ers, dolphins, tickets, and pregame field passes today before 915. So don't miss it. All right. We told you a little bit of media from the Niners. Kyle Eustick did Peter Schreger. Raheem Morris did the pivot podcast. We'll see what they had to say next on these sports leaders. KNBR, the sports leader. Now back to Merfin Marcus on the sports leader streaming live on these sports leader.com and KNBR, the sports leader app. Merfin Marcus is sponsored by Bigelow team. Grab a mug and tea proudly. And that should do it. The San Francisco 49ers come 17 times on's, come 8,000 miles away from home to play on the road on what is sacred ground here in the Southern Hemisphere. The first ever regular season game in Australia belongs to the 49ers. The first game of 2026 belongs to the 49ers in a divisional rivalry. The 49ers beat the Rams 27 to 7. They've now won seven of eight
away from home against the Rams. Man, there it is. Guy Heyberman on the final call. It was sweet. It was sweet. We got to start kind of turning our attention to Miami. But first and foremost, we'll be the check in today with the welfare of the 49ers. Listen, they landed Friday afternoon around five o'clock. So much so. Excuse me, Marcus. Got emotional. So much of the Kyle Shanahan made it out to the St. Francis Dale Salgame. I think we some somebody sent us a picture. Yeah, one of our listeners tagged us on Twitter. So that's Friday night Saturday night, Sunday night, Monday night, Tuesday. That's five nights now. I got to think. I got to think. I mean, we keep talking about this trip like they went to freaking the outer ring of Saturn, you know, but I got to think they're okay. Five nights. I mean, every night, well, you're going to feel it on week two. You're going to feel it on week two. But my God, it'll be six nights, seven nights, eight nights. It'll be nine nights of sleep by the time they put in Miami Dolphins. You know, Murph, I would assume the same thing. But first, I want to check in with the 15 staff experts that the Rams sent down to Australia over the last
couple of years because obviously they have all the answers. I don't take that 15 staffers. Anyway, Kyle Yuschik went on and did a little Peter Schreger podcast. So here he is. Yeah. After Peter Schreger was carrying water for those 15 staffers in Sean McVeigh. He sure was. He's the one who told us a bragged about it. The Rams know what they're doing. Juice apparently Kyle Yuschik is better than us. He doesn't. He doesn't carry any grudge. Yeah. He's a smart man. So here's juice talking about cut eye wall to about jet lag feeling. And this is on Tuesday. How's he feeling? Yeah. You know, it's surprisingly. I felt like I adjusted quicker coming back going out there. They're there. It was serious. I mean, the jet lag was real. It took me a good three days until I felt like I was really onto that Australian time. But it took me about a day. Since we got back and I've been sleeping on schedule all the way through the night, the last two, three nights. So I'm feeling really good and I feel good going into this week.
Boom. Do you believe him? I do believe him. Yeah. I'm buying what he's selling. To me, the thing that stood out more about that quote is the fact that he admitted that it took his body three days towards just to Australia. The Rams didn't even spend three days in Australia. Exactly. We'll see. Juice had a good time, though, in Melbourne. A little love for our people. I remember our buddy, Zander. Kind of get his name. McGuire. Zander McGuire. Right. Thank you very much. Why do I want to say Martin? It's Zander McGuire. And juice loved the people of Melbourne. Take it away. Cut Jay. That's in juice. Juice. J juice. What's your favorite juice, Marcus? Apple. I'm an apple juice. Apple. Yeah. What about orange? You're an orange. You're a classic. I'll take cranberry too. Sometimes I'll think about that. Sometimes I get ridiculed for drinking apple juice. It's kind of a kids thing. See, that's what people say. Why is apple juice for kids? It is. It just is. I like apple juice. All right. Here you go. Man, I just say, I mean, there really was a lot. So it's hard to pinpoint, but just the people of Melbourne,
the people were phenomenal. Everyone that we met was so cool, humble, down the earth, so excited to meet NFL players. Yeah. He said Melbourne, by the way. Yeah. A lot of 49ers kind of bought into the culture and bought into the correct pronunciation of Melbourne. I still go and melbourne. I'm a gringo. Yeah. We are. I told you guys that story. God, that used to make Paulie laugh so hard. My sophomore year high school Spanish teacher, Mr. Medrano. He was quite the character, by the way. If you ever mispronounced anything, if you said don't day, he wanted us to make our D's T H's, light T H's like don't day, like a soft D almost like a T H told us almost like don't day. And we would go don't day. And he go, and the scream at you. And then you'd be like, you'd be like, no, and he go, Oh, don't do it again. Don't day. Gringo screaming at you. Yeah. Yeah. He was getting on you.
Oh, you just yell gringo at you all the time. That's incredible. Right over you. Stand right over you. Gringo. Yes. You can check the Z drive. I have Merf drop in that gringo drop a couple times before. But Merf, he should have known you had a problem with the soft D. You're more of a hard D. If I can riff, if I can riff, you've been riffing. Riffing away. Gringo. Anyway, so I'm a gringo. I'll say melbourne. Melbourne. Anyway, here was the cut. I threw Walter curveball on the last one. This is cut H on the travel plan from Kyle use chick here. Yeah. Yeah. I definitely think it helped at the end of the day. I mean, I don't think that's the only reason we won the game. But I definitely think that was in our favor. And I'm so happy that we did what we did and leading up to it. Like, I was like, man, this, this makes so much sense to me. This has to be the right decision, right? But then you see what the Rams are doing. And it made you second guest sit and you're like, wait a second. Why aren't they doing what we're doing? And they must feel strongly about it. If they're going to put all their chips into getting
there 24 hours before and man, it did work for them when they went to London. And then you start second guest and everything that you're doing. But I think especially after the game and how I feel now and how I felt going into that game, I think we made the right decision and what we did. Well, I mean, I love it. I love the final score. I loved everything about it. But I hate to hear that you stick was even letting the seat of doubt creeping to his brain. His answer should have been once he saw the Rams travel plan was blank those guys. Yeah, bring it on. What it should have been. But he might Kyle admitting this frailty. Oh, second guest. Let's go. Come on, juice. Well, come on, juice. I understand since the 49ers were entering the unknown in the Rams. We're trying to justify their plans by using London as an example. But as we've talked about since the game, flying from the East Coast to London is a lot different than flying from the West Coast down to Australia. You got to stay strong, buddy. You got to stay strong. Don't know, no, no fear, buddy. No doubt. I mean, while Raheem Morris did his bit on the pivot podcast, pivot podcast. And this was Raheem Morris cut a wall about his view of the planning for the Aussie trip. I enjoy the process
of what our guys went through. I know to get us out there to go out there and perform, you know, we went out. We had a chance to acclimate. I got a chance to miss a birthday in the air. We had a chance to go, you know, be together for a little bit before we started preparing for the game that we knew was going to be very tough versus a very good opponent out down in Australia. And, you know, our process was good. Our process for right. Our people did the right things for us. I can't give enough thanks to our ownership. I can't give enough thanks to all the people that went out before us, the people that got us, you know, squared away the hotel, people in Australia, the people in general rule, our security team. It was a, it was a bunch of different people that got us right in order to prepare for that game. And the guys went out in professional level and played the right way. There he is, man, Raheem Morris, Russ Scheme Morris doing his thing. Now, the only thing I would say is I woke up this morning and I do do what I shouldn't do. I hit the for you, Ted. Oh, no. You never know what's going to be there. Shout out Archmaning. Not that anyway. I know. So we'll move on. Yeah. But I found out I didn't know Ramello Heights clapped back
at I think it's Coach Jack, our friend Coach Jack. Oh, I think we have beef on the 49er Twitter Street. It was about Ramello Heights had a bad PFF scores like 22 snaps and he did not flash anywhere like no pressures, no nothing. And Ramello Heights clapped back at him. And now I was like, come on, man, I don't first I don't need that. I don't need any of it. But the point is is that is that there is as as praise, we said this when that bear was yesterday as great as it was. And it was great. 27 to seven. You name it blah, blah, blah, blah. The D line, you know, I mean, they were they were getting gashed and then the Rams through the pick and everything changed. But just, you know, I'm just going to go ahead and say while I am very excited by the premise and they held the Rams at seven points. And in some ways, that's all that matters. That's all that matters. And they did get some legit pressure on Matthew Stafford, despite the fact that they did not take them down and record a single sec. Right. So I'm just saying, you know, I don't need Ramello Heights getting upset about his stats and clapping back on somebody at Twitter. I don't I don't
need Ramello Heights going full Logan Web on Twitter. I mean, athletes stay off a social media. Yeah, very much so. I mean, Ramello Heights does not need to go on his for you tab. What are you doing, Ramello? No, no, no, he does not. He does not. Anyway, there you go. Just a little bit of a nine of reaction to the trip. And on the other side, Rahim talked more about that defense that despite the lack of Ramello Heights stats held the Rams at seven points. And we'll get a little bit of that sound. Stafford is under center. Stafford is going to sneak it. Stafford pushing forward and good luck finding him in there. Rams are saying he's in waiting for a signal waiting for a signal waiting
for a signal the 49ers are saying they stopped him and they stopped him. A fourth downstop inches to go and the 49ers defense stand strong. And Guy Heyman on the goal line stand all those great things that went into that 49er win over the Rams 27 to 7 including Tim Ryan pointed out to us where he morris is tight man coverage on corners allowing Dima Lenore to be so close to Pukinakui kept him out of the end zone by about I don't know half a yard some like that and then they wind up trying the mad staffer sneak that had my Ram fan buddy my old sports writer Paul Steve Hilling losing his mind he actually described himself as incandescent that's how mad he was he's a writer that guy good word a lot of words. He said how do you sneak a 38 year old guy who says he hates quarterback sneaks rock pretty good quarterback sneak. Oh yeah, Perdi's a real good sneaker and shout out to the legend Jimmy the sneak Jimmy the sneak was one of the greats he really was Tom Brady I'll tell you that he was the best quarterback sneaker I ever saw.
No, do you put Jalen Hertz in the conversation for the push? No, that's a different category for you. No, blank and way, no blank and way. None. Anti-toge push. He goes ahead problems with the commanders on Sunday. Yeah, commanders almost won that game if it wasn't for a failed two point conversion or stuff on Diggs jump in and slide in down the fill goal post. Like you was doing to the poll what dogs do to legs. These sports later, a chemulous media station. All right, 49ers, favorite by 13 and a half. They'll do media today as
they hit the practice field. Taken on the Miami Dolphins. Is it a trap game, 808 KBR or do they roll the Miami Dolphins stuff to talk about? We're going to ask Navarro Bowman and Patrick Willis tomorrow when they're with us in person at cash creek casino. How about that block off your schedule now, eight 50 to 9 30 tomorrow morning at cash creek live in person Patrick Willis and Navarro Bowman. Dude, that is awesome. That's going to be great. We just got to get a, uh, speaking of Walt's region. We got to get out the way and just let those two guys go. Oh, dude. Yeah. Yeah. Just turned it into the Patrick Willis and Navarro Bowman podcast. What a couple of players they were, man. And so we'll get them going. But they're the guy who coordinated their position, Rahim Morris. That's my transition. Talking about a man who played their position, Fred Warner. So Morris went on the pivot podcast. I confess, I don't know who hosts the pivot podcast. That would be Ryan Clark. Okay. Ryan Clark. I believe my god. My guy right now pivoting towards the pivot podcast after being laid off by ESPN. That's right. All that controversy. Here he is. Rahim Morris on the pivot podcast. What does he say about Fred Warner?
It's fun coaching grown men, Ryan, as you know, and I've been lucky enough and fortunate enough for my career to be able to do that a lot. Well, you talk about Randy Barber, you talk about Ryan Clark. You talk about Kate and Ellis, when we talk about Atlanta, they come in here. There are a lot of grown men around the building. We talk about Fred Warner bringing back during Green Law, Nick Bolsa, all these guys, you know, and, you know, even though they may have to miss a couple of days or do something for to ensure they're going to be right, you got a lot of confidence in the things that they've done over their career and them knowing their bodies and themselves and the trust in the process and trusted out people that they were going to be right. And then watching those guys, when we got them to the game, that's what right looks like. And to be able to watch Fred go out there and motivate his team and just be the ambassador of toughness and the ambassador of the ball and just everything that's we stand for it. You know, here I'm out on the bay. I thought it was a very good showing by the guys playing together. And we still got a long way to go. We still got a lot of things we can get better. Those guys know that they feel that way. And that's what makes them
great. Good stuff. I like Raheem Morris. It's cut in a nice figure as D-coordinator for the 49ers. Talk about grown men. He's a grown man D-coordinator. Like he's a real like he's a real D-coordinator. You know, this is a good hire. This is a good hire. It's funny. I tell you, I'm diving back into that silver book. He and Raheem, he and Kyle go all the way back to John Grudens bucks in 2003, dude. That's how long those guys have been together. He mentioned Ronde Barber in that cut. That's how far back this guy goes. Yeah. So they have a history. And now he's taken over as DC for the 49ers. And he has the ambassador of toughness running his defense. I mean, that's the thing that it's not like we all forgot how good Fred Warner was. I mean, we all saw him last year. Fred Warner was in the middle of the defensive player of the year conversation before going down with that injury, but having Fred Warner that grown man back on the field, it's almost like having an extra defense, a coordinator on your defense. Like it was so nice just to see Fred Warner flying around and launching his body like a missile, taking out players from that Rams roster. Fred Warner does it all,
sideline to sideline speed. And no question about it is a huge difference maker for Raheem Moore. Yeah. And he mentioned Dre Greenlock too, bringing him back. I mean, everything in life can be traced back to Dre Greenlock going down in the Super Bowl. Pat Mahomes taking note of it on the NFL miced up thing. Yeah. There's a 57s down and Fred Warner being stressed out and going through all the pain and emotion on the sideline right after that happened. And Nick Boes that kind of having to go over to him on the sideline be like, Hey, man, we got to go out here and win this game for Dre. I mean, I know it's all revisionist history and all that stuff. But you know, you write a book where Dre Greenlock stays healthy for now. It's win the ball. That's a good chance. I mean, look at those numbers from Patrick Mahomes in the chiefs after Dre Greenlock left. Oh, man. Damn it. Well, it's not Andy Reed at half time on Monday night. First of all, what's going on with the Tash? Like that thing is now taken on a life of its own. It's getting bigger. That's straight out of that. Who's the character that has that mustache? It's a Zeus character. Oh, the walrus with the mustache. I think right? What guess?
Yeah, I think that's a doctor. It doesn't look real at this point. It's like it's like its own thing. So and he's in anyway, I'm just looking at him. I'm like, we lost this guy twice in the room twice. And by the way, Andy Reed now bald. He finally shaved off the little side hair he had going really embraced the bald look. Interesting move to make this latent in life. You have to have a good head shape to go bald. I don't know what I mean, I got a little, I'm getting thin on top hence the hat, right? So I get it. But I think it's a reasonable thinness. I see it sometimes on pictures. I'm like, look at that. It's not what it used to be. Hold on to it as long as you can. That's it. I don't know what I would do if I had that kind of horseshoe bald thing going on. You might have to grow out of mustache like Andy Reed, which by the way, the character you're looking for is the Loras. Thank you. That's the character of the doctor Zeus character you're thinking about. Yeah, yeah. Two of nine says the same thing. Laura nice check into one. Good job. Anyway, more Rahim Morris. Now he's talking about Debo Samuel. I want to hear this cut D. I want to hear this before I remark on this. So Rahim Morris, even though he's the D coordinators
talking about number 19, Debo Samuel. Then you talk about the other guy. We both fat Debo back man. Fat Debo came up and I call him fat every day. He going punch me when I see him today. But like, he's that guy. He's been the guy for a long time. He's that guy that's hard to tackle. He's been that guy. He's been a terror going against him. Have an opportunity to coach against for so long. I feel like I'm known forever. But now he's back on our team. He's with us. He provides that spark. He provides that juice. He provides that toughness, that physical play, that style of play. He's everything you want to football player. And I couldn't be happier to be on the same team. So I didn't know what to say because the the cut sheet says, where he more is praises fat Debo. We're like, what would he, is that a typo? I thought for sure it was going to be a typo. He said he's fat Debo fat Debo. What's the difference I joke going on here? I call him fat every day. He going punch me when I see him today. But like, well, you you have a buddy fat Rob. Well, yeah. But fat Rob is actually fat. Now there were some
concerns about Debo Samuel after son of the contract. But I would say there have not been any concerns about the shape that Debo Samuel showed up into for an under training camp this year. Maybe that's Raheem's way of motivating Debo to stay in shape because all those years where we bullied my friend fat Rob. Eventually he did get skinny. So there's a lesson for you. Bullying works. Yeah. We both fat Debo back man. We came here. Yeah. We body shan fat Rob to become a skinny Rob bullying. No joke. All right. I'm riffing. I'm riffing. But all riffing aside, I do remember during training camp. There was a video that came out of Raheem Morris challenging Debo Samuel to be any of his DBs in a race. And Debo is like, man, I'll smoke. We're not going to agree. And I'd take out Dima. I'd take out all these guys. But Raheem was going to bet for his DBs claiming that they are faster than Debo Samuel. Okay. Even fat Debo. So there we go. All right. Here we go. And then finally, Raheem Morris on Brock Perty. Brock Perty. Oh, I have hit that one in a while.
Brock Perty. I was driving in this morning and one of the four shows I listened to where I tried to steal stuff. It was a national show and they were praising Brock Perty. Wow. Yeah. They praise Brock Perty. I know. I thought you're supposed to criticize him for being in Kyle Shanahan's system. And being too short and too short like Merce's. All right. Here's Raheem Morris on Brock Perty. Hey, Shannon, it's fun, right? Having a chance to be here planning against the layer king, which I call him, you know, his coach don't like me to call him the layer king. He's the appropriate throw king. But to watch him every day in practice and watch the things he's able to do is unbelievable. To watch his process, to watch how gritty and tough he is, to watch the competitive that he is every single day in practice. I've been around Brock and I really enjoy my time around him. Okay. The layer king. I like it. He says that coach gets mad at me. Call him the appropriate throw king. That's pretty good. Listen, Brock, his numbers were not gigantic in the opening game. His rating was good. His QBR, whatever you want to go with was good. And his win total was good too. You know, he did throw the pick. And there was another one that Brendel pulled down that could have
been disastrous. So listen, the Miami Dolphins going to be the ultimate test, you know, probably not. They're 13 and a half point favorites. Yeah. After seeing the dolphins against the Raiders last weekend, my answer that would be no. I know, right? So and then here comes Arizona. I mean, you see our Arizona bounces back after that big win over the L.A. Chargers. They shocked the world there with Jacobi Brasette at quarterback. And they're going to play the Seahawks this week. And the CX don't have Sam Darnell. Yeah. They did win week one against the Patriots with Drew Lock at quarterback. His Drake made through three dumb intercepts. They do. But I still don't know if I'm picking Jacobi Brasette to beat that Seattle Seahawks defense. Well, you're going to you're going to need to do something because you need a win. Yeah. I need a win badly. Uh-huh. Trust me. I'm staying away from the Cardinals and for sure staying away from the Chargers. Uh, yeah. But in your out of the survivor pool too. Oh, I'm done. Uh-huh. The tribe is spoken, right? And you lost your fantasy game, right? Yeah. Uh-huh. Yeah, dude. What else is new? We're back in a game. You're a fan of the league and I'm losing single digit matchups once again. Oh, yeah. Well,
the losses are lost. It is. I'm going to get some mighty Austin Scott who dropped a 160 bird. Uh-huh. I know. Does he have you nervous? That's all you making some moves on the wafer wire this morning. No, that's because AJ Brown. Oh, that's right. And I am open by the way. I'm here to tell everybody if you're listening. Walt Marcus, are you interested in Isaiah likely? Open for business. He's going to have a big year and I'm putting them on the market. Who's her starting tide in that you are benching? Who's the only one who's better? Tremac bright. Oh, yeah. That's a nice little tide in combination. And I need a receiver. Would you go double tide in, play them in the flex? I thought about that, but I still don't, I still need a receiver. That's a point in time. Um, I got no receivers and I got kicked off a auto draft. I got kicked off a drafting. We were flying. So all the backup receivers, they picked our terrible trade, freaking, who's the rater kid trade Tucker? Yeah. And Casey concept she owned it. It's like, it's a cool name. What do you do in here? Well, nine years were rumored to draft. Yeah. I mean, it's a really cool name, but yeah, it's kind of tough drafting any wide receiver that plays for the Cleveland Browns. By the way, speaking of working right receivers, we'll find out more today from Kyle Shanahan about Deshaun's tripling. Um, you know, because right now, you know, we're only
here in the sort of hazy report about a month. And I don't know if Kyle's going to have more information. Also, we'll get more information on Jake Tonjes. Although Waltz or Mike was over night Dave was saying that the crawl said that it could be pretty bad. I don't know. We'll see. That means they're going to call it. Braden Will is probably from the practice squad. And it'll be just see how George Kittle bounces back week two. Listen, he blocked. You showed me that highlight clip of him blocking. He blocked his cajonais off in that game, which was fantastic. He played a big role in that. So he doesn't always have to put up the huge receiving numbers. That's what makes George Kittle the George player. He is. But I thought he looked even Tim Ryan referenced it. The first catch he made, it looked a little awkward. The way he went down, I kind of held my breath a little bit. So he had a quiet game. I think it was two for 12. Yeah, a quiet game receiving. But to your point, still one of the best blockers in the league. And I did see Dave and Lombardi tweet out yesterday that the 49ers officially promoted Braden Will is the 53 man roster. Okay. So there you go. All right, man. Well, listen, hey, all this stuff's getting you excited for 49ers, field passes and tickets. We
