From the Zedium podcast network, it's flage for an A-lease, a little bit of pod. Welcome to a little bit of pod. I don't think I really talked about this at the time so much. Did I count remember? No, not on here. No, not on here, because I'd be... You were dealing with behind the scene. Thank you, yeah, really affected me. Most of all, my boyfriend got rushed to hospital in an ambulance. No, but I called an ambulance, didn't I, while we were at work? I know. I was insane this unfolding. Yeah, I know. So, boyfriend woke up in the middle of the night, excruciating pain in the tum. And then he... I didn't ask for permission to say this, by the way, so I'll just share it, you know, whatever. That's what you get when you date Sproul. So, wakes up terrible pain by two a.m.y. can't handle it anymore, so he wakes me up. And then I say, do we need to go to an emergency service? And he does the man thing of like, no, no, no, no, shame if it's nothing. And then it's giving big appendix. And so, at that point, I'm already at work, and it's giving appendix.
He can't stand. So, I call an ambulance. Ambulance can't... Like, he couldn't even get out of bed, could he? Yeah, they were amazing. They turned up at the doorstep. I love... A New Zealand male will be bedridden in bedridden, let's give it a day. Yeah, he was. But you shouldn't fuck around with their appendix. No, no. And it was right, it was like following all the signs of where the position was and stuff. Heaps of pain, pain like second to none. Yeah. And ambulance turns up, they were incredible. You know, did all the hook them up to everything and the thing, asked all the right questions, took them to hospitals. I mean, eight hours in hospital, kidney stone. Ouch. Which he's... Never really know. No. He still hasn't. No. I was gonna ask, because apparently that's... It's just sitting in him. Because they can tuck in time, boy. Did they put a laser up your deck and zapper? Yes, of their laser and my deck. But it's not related to... That's just your weekend, your freaking weekend. That was, you know, those ones that they say you can't shine at the point. Yeah, I just want to just see the inside of your foreskin. Yeah. So he... No. So it's six millimeters, they blast it with a laser,
has those five millimeters in which they say best of fucking luck, bro. Oh, I'd just be like, does he have mental... Five millimeters. I'd be like, blast that shit out. Yeah, don't. Anyway. Well... It was wild though, because that work, you were like, am I just gonna call this? And you were at work. So scared. I've never called an ambulance. Calling an ambulance for the other side of the city. Yes. And I... And it was right in the middle of the peak. Like, do you know the... Peak traffic. Those headlights, a peak traffic, yes, but the headlights that the ambulance services were slammed with their busiest lights. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And what was that? Because of all the cold and flu. And do you know what? They were amazing because I said, I can't... I don't know if I'm doing the right thing, you know? Like, I suppose maybe you could drag himself into an Uber or something or wait for me to finish work. And they were like, no, no, you've done the right thing. If he's in this much pain. Yeah. Anyway, but it's a kidney stone which doesn't have the same sense of emergencies of burst appendix, but very much. Apparently, the most painful pain a man can experience. Right. Similar to childbirth, they say, dear, I say. Oh, yeah. So, the other day, and I'm not really complaining, I was just really surprised.
I don't know this about our services in our country, but he got a bill for the ambulance. And I was like, I just assumed... Because everything else is free. Everything is free. But that's not. I think it was called the free ambulance. No, there isn't a way I wouldn't have been free ambulance. Oh, that's why? Because I grew up in Wellington and I always knew of the Wellington John Wellington free ambulance. Isn't it ACC or if you've got insurance that'll cover it? If you've got an ACC, if you're in an accident, the ACC covers it. Well, my dick accidentally made a stone inside of me. I don't know if there's an accident. Nothing, the dick has a stone. No, it's a dick made it. The stone comes out the dick. Oh, yeah. That's what I got. And a little to do with it's... Yeah, no, it doesn't have health insurance. So, no, we just paid it. It wasn't. Well, the excess would be more than... Yeah, it wasn't like exorbitant. It was exorbitant, but I was like, huh. I just learned that. Yeah. That you paid for our ambulances. Does that mean if I'm hung over and need an IV drip in some oxygen? And you're like, 1-1-1. 5-5.
I feel like shit. $500 get hooked up in the back of an ammo and my hangover will be cured. Do you know what? If I was an accident. If I would pay 500. I accidentally drank too much. Well, there are those places in Vegas. You go get hooked up to the oxygen and then I'd be... They do it suddenly in Melbourne quite a lot. I mean, I don't get hangovers that bad that I would need an IV. But if I was at a festival and you're looking down the barrel of day three. Yeah. I know 500 bucks could be well spent.
