FF: Fleeing Socialism
Helping someone out who is struggling can be a good thing when it's voluntary. When governments force this by taking things from one person to give to someone else, it may lead to equal outcomes but it will be an outcome in which everyone's quality of life goes down. This is why you see people fleeing Cuba for the US (and not the US for Cuba). This is why people are fleeing Venezuela for the US instead of the other way around. Learn what is going on in the Netherlands. There are countries that have already experienced socialism or communism and have realized that it does not work. Many of these countries have started to turn things around. We talk about places like Poland, the Czech Republic, and Argentina. If you are dependent on someone else to give you what you need, you are giving power to someone else to control you. You have to take responsibility for yourself and your own life. Prepare to take care of yourself now and in retirement. Then, you will not have to worry about what someone else will or will not give you.

Welcome to the Real Power Family Radio Show, brought to you by Family Success Triangle. Where we talk about how we achieved financial freedom in two years by the time we were 30. If we can do it, so can you. We will bring you the people who can help you achieve financial freedom, time freedom, and location freedom. Learn how we integrated our business, investing and homeschooling into everyday life. Now, here is the Real Power Family, Eric, Lila, Devon, and Ethan. Welcome to the Real Power Family Radio Show, my host, Eric Warwin. We have Lila, Devon, and Ethan for another episode of Fantastic Financial Fridays. We are going to talk about, man, I'm glad we have the government school system teaching everybody to, uh, that they're not good enough. Wait, no, stop, rewind. Let's have a happy show today. Okay. Let's talk about the wants of socialism, you know, that our government school system basically
talks you into, uh, wow, by the time you're in grade school or certainly junior high and tries to convince you, that's why we have more than half of the young people today, believing socialism is good. Well, I don't want to reign on your parade children, but look at the results. Watch your older brothers and sisters, talk to the people that are 10 years older than them and ask them, are you still living in mommy and daddy's basement? Why haven't you moved out? You know, the gen Xers that you like to blame everything on, we moved out when we were teenagers. Yes. 18, 19 heck, didn't Joan Jett run away and started a major rock band when she was like 14. The wrong. Yeah, she was definitely under 18. I don't remember what age, but yes, it was something like that. Uh, really, when you realize that she might have been 14 or 15 and she's singing a song about a guy that looks like he may not about, might have been about 17, really puts that into perspective, doesn't it?
Yeah, that kind of goes a different way than you would have originally imagined. Yeah. And you didn't have to say that back then because we did normalize pedophilia and say, no, they're not criminals. They're just, uh, have a medical condition. Yeah, well, it may or may not be a medical condition, but they're still criminals. Now, uh, this is all leading in and I'm bringing, yeah, same thing as always. Why explain? Why does some people seem to think that since they don't have money that others aren't allowed to charge them more than they have, when did this become a thing? And Lollipop, but how do I like that? That is not a negotiating ploy or a tactic. But I only make $900 a month. Okay. What do you want me to do? Lower the price of rent to 250. That literally won't cover my property taxes. True. I mean, it's certainly not taxes and insurance, let alone a mortgage.
You ever want anything fixed and you want to move in and some of these like, Bosher, I'm paying for the heat and the winter. I mean, we've got heating bills that were higher than the rents we were charging already. And I like, oh, but you know, I'm on social security well exactly how secure are you at nine to $1,200 a month? It's $1,200 a month by our standards. And to live a life where you're not trust me at $1,200 a month, you're worrying about everything financially. And we're seeing a lot of these great people like I loved, was it Nana and the guy that helped her? Yes. And she was like, I need firewood, but I won't be able to pay you for, you know, like two weeks until I get my Social Security check. And he brought her a load of fire. She's like, I won't be able to pay you tomorrow. I mean, he's like, it's okay. She's like, I'll have money next week. And he goes, well, I won't be around next week. So this is just a free load of wood for you, man. And then did all I think even set up a go fund me page, but they put
extra roof. He did a whole bunch of things for her. And that's lovely, but that was voluntary. He got to choose that. It wasn't a forced item. And one, I think we need to do more of that. I mean, I was just randomly driving down the road. And I saw a stop vehicle. I'm in my pickup truck, which only matters because, well, there's tools in there. And there's a guy that's my ageish, perfectly capable of changing his own tire. Except for one thing. He put on custom rims and tires on this brand new, at least vehicle and got a flat. And he's like, oh, you think the people that would have put this on would have told me that my lug nut wrench doesn't fit. Well, the mechanics are never going to look at that. I can see why he's frustrated, but, uh, and I wouldn't have thought, hey, well, my lug nut wrench fit with these. I think driving my Porsche, uh, where's that stupid key I need to take out the last lug nut because you literally can't take them out unless you have a, it's, they call it
a key. I think they call it a key, but it's especially shaped lug nut. It's got to design in it. Uh, so you can get one of the bolt or one of the nuts off of each tire so they can't steal your rims. So I'm thinking of that problem. But he is, yeah, it said you happen to have a different kind of lug nut wrench. I said, no, but I might have deep net sockets. And I did have a three eight cent drive deep neck socket. And there's not a lot of leverage. I got this little ratchet, but when you put his lug nut wrench, it had a hole in the end on top of my ratchet and a socket actually fit down into the hole to take it off. No problem. We got his stuff taken off. Then the jack fell out right before we got the last two nuts off. Thankfully. And so then we lower it down and raise it back up, but it was just the right thing to do, you know, being there, helping somebody and I actually did that probably a month ago. I wasn't going to say anything, but it goes to show you need to be out there helping
just small and consequential things. It's not that this guy couldn't have done it. He waited and I'm just like, Hey, thank you. Hope I saved an hour of your life, you know, because I know time is the most important thing. And he goes, Oh, you see me many hour. I called them an hour ago and I'm still waiting and they say they're an hour just to get here for the tow truck that might have the route. So simply because I had your average craftsman socket set in the back of my truck, it saved him many hours of his life and cost me what 10 minutes. It was nothing. Yeah, we need to be able to do that. But what if somebody told you Lila every time you see a vehicle, you got to stop. First off, if everybody stopped, there'd be a massive traffic jam. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, it's good to do this. And I'm glad people are doing it. And let's go back to Nana and some of these that we saw multiple great videos. I'm glad they're promoting some of this. What's going to happen to her next winter? She couldn't afford fire with this winter.
So if you are getting older, man, I hope you took good care of your kids. I hope you were loving and what are the rumors? Oh, yeah. Gen X is still living off of their parents. Yes, loving and they were always there for us. What was your standard greeting when you got home, Lila? Or maybe well, before that, my parents just handed me a key and said, we won't be home until six. I know you don't, you get home at three. Good luck. That was that was that was not quote unquote, taking care of me. Good luck. Came home and there was a $5 bill lying on the counter with a note, not cooking dinner. Go to Taco Bell. Yep. And those are the good days when she left me five bucks. Okay. I mean, you couldn't eat five dollars or the food at Taco Bell back then. And so yeah, now we've got all of these older. It really doesn't matter where you are, but the people that didn't plan or they
counted on the government to take care of them because they want to be secure when they get old. And it's funny that there's now multiple social security systems breaking down across the world and people are fed up by this. But let me tell you if you are in that position, well, I hope it's not too late for you now. And I never use fear as a tactic to sell things. I'm just simply stating the facts. Heck, I'm not even selling anything. I'm telling you, you need to start thinking and forget about how you wish the world were. It doesn't matter what they told you and promised you. If you want to believe in the promises of the United States government, ask a Native American how that went for them. Not well. Why do you think it's going to be different for you? Look at what you voted for. I don't care if you're Democrat or Republican. Is that what your Congress and president are producing for you today?
And if you're using the excuse, well, Trump's like, you know, Jesus reborn. He can never do anything wrong. And it's all the Congress against him. Take a step back and look at exactly what he said and then explain to me. He promised not to get into any wars. He didn't say I won't get into any wars. Unless I ran, it's going to get a nuclear weapon. He said no new wars. He says I'll end the Ukraine war and like 24 hours. Well, it's been two years. It's just too profitable to keep that going. And I was just listening to Tucker who I'm glad he brought it up. It's not about who said it first, but I'm amazed. He said, why is nobody talking about this? I've been talking about the refining capacity for at least a couple of months now. Yes. And I don't know if he brought it up before me. I honestly don't care. He's got way more listeners. At least people are starting to hear the truth that it has nothing to do with crude oil.
We drew, what do we drill? 70,000 oil wells just in the United States every year. It's ridiculous how many oil wells there are. And it has a little bit to do with transportation. You've got the shipping across the seas and the pipelines. If we can get them approved and not shut down. But really what matters is every refinery on earth provides refined, it's like his crude oil is absolutely worthless. I can't cool my engine with it. I can't burn it. I need to refine it and break it into gasoline. And I've been saying diesel fuel. Well, it's more like diesel fuel, but jet fuel is really like caracene more so, but still not gasoline. But you need to break it into gasoline and then caracene or jet fuel or diesel fuel. And then you have the heavier oils and then you have the grease stuff like that. All these things are useful, but it doesn't help unless we can break it up.
And so if every refinery provides what about 10 million people worldwide need and you take out 10 factories, that's 100 million people that aren't going to have any diesel fuel. They're not going to eat any food that was carried by a truck. They're not going to get their Amazon shipments for all of you like my mom listening. That should be enough to freak you out. Ethan's laughing at that. What would you do with that Amazon? You might actually have to go to the store. You buy more stuff on Amazon than me. That's only because I'm going to Best Buy and lows, but they put a flock camera up directly in front of contractor sales at lows and Best Buy. The play it doesn't have the sign, but they put a no concealed carry sign up in front of the only Best Buy around in the parking lot, which by the way, I don't think legal are enforceable, but I just do my very best not to buy anything in that entire shopping center
because of those stupid unconstitutional signs. And legally, they can actually it's a private industry. They can put those up. I don't know if they're enforceable. I hope they get sued over it, but that's not where I want to waste my time. Energy and money right now. I'd rather just shop somewhere else. Yeah. We'll save our lawsuits for places like North Canton, and where they're going after different constitutional rights, actively and aggressively and where we can win. And we'll be right back. Ethan, you're known for being the youngest teenager on the real power family radio show on the brushwood media network. You're also known for being quite successful and you're only 15. How'd you do that? Well, you've always taught me to buy more hard assets faster. And one of those hard assets that I've bought is the real power family silver round from American gold exchange. Get your real power family silver rounds by going to AMERgold.com or calling 80613 9323.
Welcome back to the real power family radio show. Eric, you were just talking about the refining capacity here in the US. People aren't looking at, you know, we've started all these wars. The Ukraine issue and now against Iran. And are we really going after them for, you know, if having, quote, unquote, a nuclear capacity? Or is it, why are we destroying all the refineries? Because that seems to be the end result, even if that wasn't the initial thought process. Remember when they went after gas stoves and water heaters and they wanted to ban those. Maybe five or ten, all right, Ethan, remember. So I couldn't have been that long ago. It wasn't that long ago. Yeah, I was starting like the COVID debacle and weren't you guys talking on your teenager show about how many thousands of bombs were giving to Israel? Yeah, we're giving. I believe it was 80 million pounds of bombs to Israel. Okay. So I don't want to do the math in my head. But every 2000 pound bomb somebody figured this out is gives off the equivalent and greenhouse gas.
It releases as much CO2. So remember when we were all going to die because of global warming and the sea level was going to rise and wipe out the earth. And we were saying that that's what they said. But nobody's complaining. And I always brought up the war aspect. I'm like, if you're worried about me driving a bigger pickup truck, do you know how much a tank burns? Do you know how many gallons of diesel tanks go through? Oh, you want to dramatically decrease, just shut down these wars. Not only will we quit destroying refinery capacity, which by the way, they, oh, what was it? I think I haven't written down, but I have a lot of notes in here. They've taken out dozens of refineries around the Persian Gulf between us hitting Iran and Iran, striking everybody near. And remember, there's only enough refining capacity. We have basically one refinery for every 10 million people on earth.
That's not in the US. That's on earth. Now the US, we'd be okay with diesel. If they came out and just say, yeah, we're not allowed to export. I don't think that's right. I think the free market should determine where it goes. But if you want to be a true make America great, a true America first president, that's the right way to America first. Then you stop the export of diesel, keep it all here, price is dropped back down to $4 a gallon and you get reelected. Well, what happens to Europe when we're not exporting any diesel? And you know, they've been our allies. Well, half of them have only fought against the other half. They're really the beginning and end of all wars during the 20th century, basically. Now, let's look at what made America great. The free market, Lausafair, basically leave me alone and let me produce. And we'll let you take a little bit of my earned gains, but we're not going to go into you stealing enough to support everybody else.
And now we have all of these factories of misinformation called universities and the government school system pumping out devoted socialists to the point that they even elected a socialist as mayor of New York City. And they have these people that they think it's okay to say, well, I don't have the money so you can't charge me more. What's that have to do with anything? Why don't you tell the government I don't have the money so you can't charge me property taxes. Why any insurance come matter or any taxes? Why don't you go up the insurance company and say, well, I don't have the money you can't charge me. You can't raise my insurance rates. I'm on a fixed income. Therefore my expenses need to be fixed. Why don't you call up the gas station and be like, oh, but here's my golden buck I card. Oh, Lyle just got our first invitation for the AARP. I was I know I remember when I got mine a couple years ago, I threw it away. I was I was like, I ain't even open to that crap.
I was so happy. I thought it was like Lyle and J will win. Hard and closed AARP. So that was the source of a lot of jokes last night at home. I guess this is a good thing. I've made it this long. I should look at the positive side, right? Yeah, when I was in the army, the 50 was a pretty significant achievement. A lot of us didn't think we'd make it there. Oh, and yet you managed to make it this far. So imagine what you can do with the next 50 years. Yes, exactly. Well, you can just take out your AARP card and say, no, I'm sorry. I only have to pay two dollars in gas because when I quit working, that's how much it costs and see how that works out for you. Doesn't mean that it's right. You get, look at it. It's they always try and blame it on somebody that didn't do it. Like the greedy capitalists, you know, like me. And if you step back and see the truth as to why things are really happening,
you actually can make a change. And that's why I want to have this show, not today's show, but I continue to have this show every day for years. This is, I think, our 717th episode. And I don't know almost all of them. I'm telling you exactly what to do. I'm not saying, hey, this is great. Now sign up for my $50,000 mastermind group. And you can meet with me four times a year and will, you know, exchange ideas. No, I'm just giving it. I'm laying it all out. And if you have a question, if I'm not clear enough, then ask. Do we have education? You can make sure we got books you can get. Go get the Kindle version. What are they? Like three bucks or something? I've got multiple free downloads. Like my newest book, just get for free. Go to realpowerfamily.com to the store page. And this is going to end soon. If anybody logs in within a week of hearing this, I don't remember when I set the end date of that.
But if it did end at the end of September, it's possible, then I will extend that for two weeks. But you got to email. You got to actually go in and put in the code radio to get that free book. Put that under the coupon code. It'll change to 100% discount. No credit card needed. And hey, there you go. I am only here to let you know that you have choices. And the older you get, the less choices you have and the harder the choices get, the more in debt you get, the more you overextend yourself, the less choices you have. Until someday you wake up and you don't have choices anymore, your only choice goes from bad and worse to catastrophic and deadly. And that's where the government is pushing all of us. All all sector debt is at absolute massively all time highs. There's nobody that's been close to the debt or the deficit that we have.
And we have this idiotic notion that we're going to give $3,000. That how is that not straight up buying the election? I mean, after all of the other illegal stuff that's going on, if you can just go rape a 12 year old and be fine, then why would we care about stealing from the American taxpayer to give to everybody, including illegals to buy votes? But it's not anything the Democrats haven't done. It's just open and honest and blatantly wrong because, you know, that's how Trump is. He just says it how it is or at least how he thinks it is, even if the rest of us don't agree. He also said, yeah, I think, you know, the vast majority of Americans are okay with higher gas prices. As long as Iran doesn't get a nuclear weapon. I don't know. Email in. If you really give a crap, whether I ran get to nuclear weapon, and if you do think it's awful, we can't let them get that. What makes us the policeman of the earth? Why do we get to decide that? I'm thinking I don't want my enemies to have big bombs,
but you know, the only person on earth that is ever killed millions of innocent or the only contraan earth that's ever used a nuclear weapon to kill many, many innocent people. That would be America and at Japan. Hiroshima and Nagasaki are the only cities that have embalmed and we did it. So I can see if maybe they want to have a weapon as a deterrent because if you threaten me, and I'm bigger than you, then you're probably not going to keep threatening me. If I keep going to the gym, but then if you go get a baseball bat, then I need to go get a baseball bat. And if you get a gun, then I need to get a gun. And then you know, the same progression can happen at the country level. So I'm not a fan. I don't want another cold war. I literally grew up in that and we were taught stupid things then like, oh, if case of a nuclear bomb, hide under your desk, why not just go outside and get a
suntan. You're going to end up exactly the same way of fraction of a second later. So have fun. But that's what they were telling literally we were, we did bomb drills hiding under the desk, Devon. And I certainly don't want to scare children like that. I mean, could you imagine that'd be like putting them in a bubble and telling them they couldn't get within a six foot of their friends while on the on the prey playground. Oh, wait, they just did that. And this is the system. Look at how ridiculous that is. And if you totally buy in hook line and sinker to the entire system and everything that they're teaching, well, what does it they say when you're sentenced for your own beliefs? May God have mercy on your soul. Just understand that your belief system is getting you to where you are. And even if you don't believe me, why not do some of the things we do? If I'm wrong, you'll be in great shape. But if I'm right, you won't be devastated.
We'll be right back in Ohio. Property taxes have skyrocketed with recent budgets ignoring the crisis, forcing families and seniors out of their cherished homes. It's unfair. No one should be evicted from their lifelong investment. Support our constitutional amendment abolishing property taxes, making school funding fair and constitutional for all districts via state dollars, fire and police stay fully funded. We'll shift to consumption and income taxes with smart legislation, ensuring gradual phasans and no burdens on low income families. Best of all, it ends corrupt developer giveaways, politicians fear losing. It's time to force politicians to prioritize the people of Ohio. You should own your home free and clear. Sign the petition today for the 2026 ballot. Go to citizens for property tax reform dot org to learn more and join the site. Welcome back to the real fire family radio show before we went to break.
Dad was talking about, well, some of the interesting things that happened, really throughout the whole course of time, at least you brought up the bomb drills for kids and then the COVID. What are we calling that? Debock, all planned and make what? What how do we refer to that? We can call it the planned and make it. If you'd like, whatever, the outrageous government over action to try and figure out how to steal all of the civil liberties of citizens of their countries. Yep. But since that won't fit on a license plate, plain, dynamic works. Well, let's talk about the socialist utopia of the Netherlands. So you know that two years ago, Lila, and they're talking about how great this is. If you look at the healthcare, you do understand that you pay hundreds of euros or maybe it's like 200 and close to 200 a month, maybe one 61 a month. If I'm a remember, I didn't write that down, but you pay every month.
And then you have to pay like the 350 euros, the first 350 for any healthcare. So when they say free health, it's not exactly free. Is it because you pay this outrageous amount in taxes, like 40% for the average person. What does, and I know we complain about paying 40% and some people in California are paying 50% but really what's the average Joe or even does anybody on minimum wage even pay any taxes? Certainly they pay so security, Medicare, Medicaid, all of this stuff that's taken out. But when it comes to income tax, Devon, what are they paying an income tax? Isn't it like half the people in America still don't pay income tax? I think it's 39% although I have this statistic if you'll give me one second to pull it up. 39% that do not pay. Yeah, 39.6% of households pay no individual income tax. Imagine that. Imagine being one of those.
Now you're still getting bent over the barrel, paying your so security, Medicare, Medicaid, all these, whatever they want to call it, right? And self employment tax if you're running the business and you're self employed, but 39% so not quite half don't pay any income tax in America. It's all the tax the rich, they're already taxing away the jobs because there comes a time where I have to look and say, well, I keep growing and providing more housing and providing more jobs. And you know, if you have something broke at your house, it's so miserable to hire somebody to fix it. I'd expand my construction company and fix it for other people, but it is so not worth the hassle of working for anybody other than, you know, like your management company. I can keep all my guys busy and like, oh, hire more. It's not worth it because if I make any more money, they're going to keep 30 or 40% of it. So why should I go out and provide more if I get to the world?
When I only get to keep half of it. And by the time I pay bookkeepers and all of this other stuff, I take all this risk, it really cost me more than 50% of what I bring in just to make the government happy. Wasn't there a like a movie producer who only made like one movie a year because he knew if he made more, he would have to give he was an actor and then he became president. Ronald Reagan. Okay. It was Reagan. I didn't know if it was Reagan. Yeah. And I think he made about 50,000 a movie. He goes, I only make two movies here. I said, why? Because because they give 90% of it to the government if I make any more than that. But he made about 50 grand a year. And then he goes, we're going to change this. And that was, you know, a strong Republican California Ronald Reagan. Yeah. And yeah, it was from California. Go figure. Yeah. But back to the Netherlands, forget about their healthcare system. And the fact that it takes months and months to see a specialist for anything.
It takes weeks to get in because there's so few doctors. So I want you to think about what does socialism cause? Can socialism ever work? There are a couple of countries where it's kind of sort of working. But they're very, very ethnically cleansed. If you, they just, they never had immigration the way it is and most of Europe or the United States. It is very much everybody's the same. It's like an extended family and it's a very small nation. As soon as you open up the floodgates to immigration, you can't give away free stuff and have open borders. It can't because what happens? All the people that want the free stuff rush in just like they did to America. And all of the people that produce the free stuff get tired of producing and giving it to others. So they quit producing or they leave. So just something to think about. Why are all the kids that are devins age?
Why do most of them want to leave the Netherlands if socialism is so awesome? And the government decided to fix this. So they realized rents were too high. So they passed the Affordable Ren Act. Sound like the Affordable Care Act you like? Yes, it does. The Affordable Ren Act kept the price of rent steady. It's only been two years. That was passed in 2024. And two years later, there's a third less rental properties. Now, if you talk to the hot dog salesman who thinks he runs a business, he kind of does. He's got a little hot dog stand outside of city hall. But he's a city councilman. Greg, you should try and run a real business. And just understand what goes into this. Sorry, not overly a fan of that guy. But yeah, he's got the same ideas and he stood in city council probably two decades ago and said,
this city would be way better off if there were no landlords. What are you going to do to fight of every apartment building and sell it off as a condo? But don't worry. It looks like they're getting that way in the Netherlands. A third of the landlords, not necessarily the landlords. I don't know how many of them, but a third of them are already gone. A third of the rental properties because they just make it. So you're like, good. We need to be, you know, over 50%. We need to be over 60% owner occupied. Yeah, sure. And good healthy cities. You're going to get there. But in most of them, you're not. You'll be anywhere between 40 to 60% probably more like 50 to 60%. So you're like, good. We got rid of all these terrible slumlords ran them out of town. They saw off their properties. Now we have higher owner occupancy. But the citizens that lived in them couldn't afford to pay to buy the house. Lila, I believe in a word to buy the houses.
It almost half a million euros. American expats. Oh, so the Americans, you know, because we still have some version of capitalism here, make enough money throughout their life that they can go to the Netherlands and buy their second home or their vacation home. And if you look, look at what they did to Greece, which recently went bankrupt. And our friend Jeff bought a house over there. He's not even allowed to be there for more than six months out of the year. But his wife keeps going back. Devon went with her the one time for a week and she had fun over there. Were there more Americans buying houses over there that you saw? I did not see other Americans buying houses over there, but I wasn't deeply tied into the housing market. I was more, where do I get food? Where do I get food? Not just bread. They had a lot of bread there and not nearly as much meat. I'm not sure if that's a cultural thing or an indication for something else.
Just putting that out there. Well, you've got two years ago in the Netherlands, they passed this bill. They already lost a third of the rental properties. They didn't get sold to the citizens. So now they have a massive housing crisis. Then they went and isn't it nice that they can pass. They can fix rental increases with a stroke of a pen, Lila. Good for whom. Yeah, that lasted for a couple of weeks, I guess. Let's see. So yeah, the average Dutch citizen can't afford to buy a home. So they sold them to well, people like us picking up our second or third or fourth home. Let's take a quick break. We'll be right back. Brushwood media network. Every parent wants their kids to be successful. And today's world, getting them the right knowledge to do this can be a challenge. My husband and I decided to homeschool our kids and give them a financial and real world education rather than making them memorize things they would probably never use. Our results are kids who became financially free before they could drive with no money or credit from us.
Now at 16 and 13, they co-host our real power family radio show and Devon is in his third year of college. How can you give your kids a head start like this? Check out our book, Family Success Triangle, which outlines the lessons we taught our kids. We want you to achieve amazing results at any age. Get your copy of Family Success Triangle on Amazon today. And be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel at Real Power Family and listen to the real power family radio show Monday through Friday at 7 a.m. on the brushwood media network. Welcome back to the real power family radio show. Dad, you were just mentioning how they the Netherlands, they drove out the housing providers. And now you just have all of the foreign people from the US that came in and are buying a whole bunch of these homes. What's that doing to the prices of housing there or what's that doing to all of the people there? Why don't you ask me a more relevant question? What are all the kids my age doing?
How long have you lived in my house? My entire life? 19 years? Yeah. Eighth and not a trick question. How long have you lived in my house? 16 years. Okay. Have they been a reasonably good 16 years? Yes. Is it are you starting to think that wow, maybe this is coming close? I'm not going to throw you out in a year and a half, but maybe this is coming close to an end. Okay. What do you think about living in my house for another 16 years? I probably I wouldn't want that. Why not? Living in there as I need to move out at some point. But don't you want to live my house, my rules until you're 30? No, no. I'd like to be able to live my own life and sleep in as long as I want, which is realistically only going to be for an extra 30 minutes because well, I'm going to have responsibilities and I'm going to learn that it's more worth it to get up a little bit, you know,
I'd say too much like me. You won't learn that you'll get a job work in second shift. And then sleep in really I saw some. Okay, Devon. Yep. How old will you be when you're twice as old if you lived here for just as long, Ethan? 32. I'll do the math for you while you cough. Devon, yep. How old would you be? Can you imagine spending another 19 years here? No, that there's no way I'd be almost 40. Yeah, but not quite. You'd be 38. Not quite. Yeah, 38. Do you know what is going on? How long the Dutch stay living and their parents homes? No, how long? 35 years. Because they can't buy a house. Some of them have been looking to buy one for three to four years. So good job fixing your housing market and American gen zers. If you think it's bad now, why don't you pass some rent controls?
Let's see, there was a famous socialist that had an awesome quote about that. The Swedish Democratic economist, he are lendback, something like that. It was Mr. lendback, we'll call him said that short of aerial bombardment, rent control is the most efficient method known for destroying a city. And so to bring together, this is the result. Everybody that's being trained socialism is good. Let me ask you, do you want to live in your parents' house until you're 35? What if your dad's like me, my house, my rule, no, you're not bringing a girl home. No, you're not doing, no, you're going to be home at 11 o'clock. Why? Because I say so, my house, my rules, you know, like it, get out, start paying your own bills while you still already know everything at 35. Can you imagine my kids have to hear me tell stories?
By the time I was 11 years old, I started my first business, I had a job and a business at 11. By the time I was 16, I was given my mom money and she'd pay it back, but we just passed 20 or 50 bucks back and forth like every payday because we got paid on alternating Fridays. And we both got paid every other week. And you think you're going to live in my house and have any say over your life. If you're 30 years old, not going to happen. But then we've got the people in Montana, was that Bozeman Montana? Lila, but it was Bozeman Montana, yes. Oh, they made a real tear, tear jerker of a YouTube video to make these scummy, capitalist landlords look awful and they have dirt in their water. And well, somehow in there, they managed to admit it's really, it makes the landlord look bad. But you got to read in between the lines like everything I looked at it. Obviously, I'm biased towards landlords because we are one.
And I believe in private property rights. They do not. They believe in I only have this so much money so you can't raise my rent. Well, I thought that way until I took care of Fran. Now, Fran was an utterly lady and we've told her story before, but basically I designed, I let her pick the place she wanted to move. It was only a couple of blocks from where she had lived for the last 20 years. And she wanted a one floor, she wanted a small one bedroom. So because she was overrun with grandkids and all of her kids were leaving a grandkids there and she wanted something, you know, where she had some sanity and she didn't have all these stairs and she got first floor laundry right there. Massive bathroom with a laundry in it and a folding table and grab bars everywhere for and she picked the colors of the apartment and whatever. And every time I talked to her, which I actually did talk to tenants back then,
she's like, she's complaining about how her doctor husband left her for a younger model. And I'm like, oh gosh, that's awful. And I just can't imagine somebody just upping and leaving a 70 year old woman to get a 30 year old or a 20 year old. Gosh, how I'm at 50. I can't imagine dating a 20 year old. What are you going to be like, oh, hi, honey. Is your homework done? No, that sounds awful to me. You're drinking alcohol that's older than she is. I do have alcohol order than her. I have stock's older than her. Okay. I just don't get that. Yeah, especially when you have a beautiful, almost 50 year old wife, that's getting a ARP cards. Clarious, hilarious, Lila loves it. Can we get back to the tenants and bozeman? So Fran here in Alliance Ohio, she's still bling and she was like 30 when this happened. If I did the math, right?
I'm like, well, my mom got a divorce from my dad and it was miserable, but she put her life back together and is doing just fine now. And you had all that time and you chose not to do it. I look at my cousins and one of them's on strike and everybody's like, oh, we'll pray for you. I go, well, I'll pray for you. But if you're willing to think outside the box, you know, I know he's a factory worker and a very hard worker and buys into everything that our family taught for the middle class, but you got to realize that if you choose to go on strike with the union, then you're not really a hard worker. Okay. You might be a hard worker, but you are not working hard. And therefore you are not getting paid. So look at the incongruency of that whole idea of a strike. And I said, if you're willing to do something wildly different, I can fix all of your monetary problems and a couple days a week or so later, my cousin, his wife, emails me back. Well, thank you so much for the offer.
You basically teach him how to get into real estate like we are. And thank you for the offer, but I think we're just going to keep doing what we're doing. They made that choice and sat there. And I mean, the family took care. It's not like they went hungry or missed a house payment or anything, but it was very hard on them. You have to look and see where does this get you? And you work that long and how many of these pension plans are absolutely going broke. How many of the security systems in multiple different countries are dramatically decreasing what they've got. And then you look at Montana and they decide we're going to have a rent strike and they advertise it as the first one in eight year, a hundred years. It wasn't. Was it Lila? No, it was more like 50 years. There was a lot of things that got reported that because I didn't realize the strike only went on for a couple of weeks. Yeah, because they all got three day notices or whatever you do in Boseman. And that's not the way they presented it when they were talking to the media, of course, but they essentially said they wanted to give the new company that had
just bought it time to, you know, renegotiate least terms since the new company had already started fixing a lot of the things that they were complaining about. So maybe he was a bad landlord and realized we have bought those properties, especially words. And the guy provided a service. I he really tried to do good for the world. He did it in one. I consider the wrong way and certainly legal way, but he provide once I learned all about him, I'm like, you're a good guy. I couldn't believe I liked the guy. And the court thought he was a really bad guy. They literally sent in the stand to spend 30 days, not in jail, but living in one of his own apartments. Wow. By the way, Mike King bought that superior or the Ritz building. Oh, I'd love to see what he does with that. It's it's got to sign out front. People are living there. He got the building next door knocked it down. Well, if somebody knocked it down, it's a parking lot, which was one of the big problems. And I'm sure he made it a lot nicer. And he provides a service.
I don't want to do what he does. He's probably very good and moral and ethical about it. I just don't want to deal with all of that regulation in the city of Canton and provide low income housing when they just it's not worth the hassle to me for the little bit of money you can make. So thankfully, there's people like him. And I guarantee there's people that'll call him a slum lord for whatever reason. So yeah, look at what you're actually getting. But it's interesting how they make this. And it only went on. It did. It made it sound like it was going on for months and months and they were winning. It only went on for a couple of weeks. Yes. That's hilarious. Cause you know, the second round that's due, it doesn't take that long to evict in Montana. But it's not just an American thing. Is it if you look at Germany, they are realizing that this whole open borders, immigration, skyrocketing crime rates, isn't what they promise to me. I'll tell you about that in just a minute. Hi, this is Eric Wohen from the real power family and best selling author of
family success triangle. Learn how my wife and I became financially free by the time we were only 30 and how we taught these secrets to our kids so they could do the same without any of our money or credit when they were just teenagers. Pick up a copy of our book, family success, triangle available on Amazon today. And don't forget to tune into the real power family radio show week days at 7 a.m. Eastern on the brushwood media network. Welcome back to the power family radio show where big surprise, something that they promised us isn't actually, you know, exactly what they said it would be. Yeah. Isn't that kind of. I want to show every stage of socialism. Okay. I keep saying, look at the end result, but let's go through it. We've talked for the vast majority of the show. Use the last five or 10 minutes to show you what is going on. We have seen that the Dutch can't get homes and by fixing it with a pen and passing an affordable housing act like New York is and they've had rent
controls in the past. I would never buy there. And anywhere that passes the rent control, I won't own property there. I'll find a way. I'll sell it. I'll make a profit and let somebody else deal with it. I'm just never going to help your city grow in any way. I'll never spend a dollar on your city. And I don't have it in me to let it get run down and not fix anything. And, you know, be with the, they call the stereotypical slum lord. I won't do that. So sure, there's things that don't get fixed. There's things that take too long to fix. We have problems in our business like everybody, but that I could never let that be my business plan. Just to suck every penny out and run it into the ground. I have bought those buildings that people, they didn't mean to do that. They just, they were worn out and they finally gave up. And if they could collect rent grade, but how many buildings have we bought from how many different landlords that were just beaten down by the system in the city. And it said, I'm done. What do you give me for this?
There's like one person living in an eight unit. There's two people living in a 15 unit are two of the ones that we bought. They go out. And one of them even hired you and we shut down one of his last buildings that we didn't buy from him. Yes. In an orderly manner. Well, people are getting tired of that. If you look at the Germans are turning more and more, they call it the extreme right wing. I don't know. They call everything extreme nowadays. But the alternative for Deutsche Land, the AFD party, because they're sick of inflation, skyrocketing gas and diesel prices, skyrocketing crime rates. Unbelievable immigration and wildly open borders. People are saying we're going to stop the end. Then they just leave the borders open. You're seeing this not just there, but look at Victor Orban. That's hungry. And he's got what is hungry? Hungry is an ex-soviet block. Okay. It's a communist state, nation state.
Poland is growing their economy and has the lowest crime rate in all of Europe. They give massive individual liberties compared to many other European nations. So don't forget the Soviet Union and the United States and the United Kingdom were all on the same side. And China was on our side. We were the allies in World War II fighting against Germany and Japan and Italy. Okay. Just to name a few of these, but don't forget the socialist, the communist, the socialist of Russia and China. We fought on the same side in both World War I and II as them. And it appears that many of the other people that we fought against, they pushed it too far because even Germany, which was the national socialist, the Nazis back in World War II, they're turning to the opposite end of the spectrum.
They're saying enough is enough. Like I said, we had Victor Orban and hungry. Is changing a lot of things going very, very capitalist. And what is socialism? Take away all your freedoms and give you what we think you should have. You, the socialist seat is guaranteed free healthcare and education and social security, free money for retirement. But what you're giving up is access to everything that you might want in order to get whatever they are willing to give you. You make a country and a government strong enough to give you everything that you need. And they are also strong enough to take everything that you have. And they will take it and you will see half of the Dutch kids want to move out of socialism. Cuba, how many people have put together makeshift rafts and died trying to get from
Havana to Miami? Yes. Ever seen anybody trying to go from Miami to Havana? No. No. Why is everybody rushing from Venezuela? Why were so many people evacuating Argentina until recently? Look at all these socialist nations people are running away from. They didn't build a wall to keep people out of East Germany. They built a wall to keep them in. And now that would be the socialist version of the socialist half after the war. Now Poland, Soviet, ex-Soviet bloc is growing their economy and has a lows crime rate in Europe and gives massive individual liberties compared to other European nations. The Czech Republic, ex-Soviet bloc is implementing a second amendment like protection for firearms. The only place in all of it, you think of Europe as Western Europe, but it's also Eastern Europe boys. It would be the old Soviet Union, Russia, Poland, Hungary, all of these countries that
were under the USSR until it broke apart. Many of them are getting much more liberties to the point of you can actually have protections for your firearms, the only place in Europe that you can have firearms as a Czech Republic. Now ask yourself, why is it that the only place that you can really go out by a firearm and be protected? An ex-democratic socialist nation because they saw what happens when citizens don't have guns only the government does. Is now why Ine Rands book Atlas Shrugged is so accurate to, well, some of the things of what they're trying to do today, because didn't she flee from the USSR? So she saw socialism. She saw this unfold and she knew the dangers of it. That's why she wrote about it. Absolutely. And in the Czech Republic, they had Vaklev Havvol, who they had literally imprisoned him because he was speaking out against everything the government was doing.
And the people later elected him as their leader. And that's how the Czech Republic started turning around. Pretty soon it's going to be easier to count the leaders that weren't in jail than the ones that were. Okay, let's not just talk about the Soviets or the ex-soviets that are embracing capitalism, freedom and liberty. Because make no mistakes. Socialism is giving up your liberties for security. Why not just place yourself and maximum security prison? You get three hot and a cot and climate control on this side of the pond. What's going on? El Salvador? Well, our pay so our dollar or whatever our currency is. It's totally trash. So let's embrace Bitcoin. That happened in El Salvador years ago. Argentina, let's select the guy with the crazy here in the chainsaw. Because you know, we had the 10th largest economy in 1913. Notice how that date keeps coming up. That's when we got the Federal Reserve and the progressive income tax,
two planks of the Communist Manifesto, both implemented in the same year in 1913. That's the year that Argentina was actually doing great. And they continued to do great until Juan Perón came in in 46 after war two. He promised the same thing. Everybody promises higher worker wages, land reform and of course, social security. And we went from 46 until almost 26. There was just a few years before. So let's call it 75 years that they pushed the socialist agenda. And they fell dramatically and GDP per capita and living conditions and standards. Everybody got more of an equal outcome. And the outcome was way lower than the average poor person before that. They literally had a saying, rich as an Argentine. Doesn't make any sense now. But I bet you if they continue down this path, it won't take 75 years to bring it back.
You give me just five more years. Five or 10 years and things will be wildly different. So ask yourself if socialism is the end all be all of you. Really believe all those BS they teach in government paid for schools because make no mistake. That's why they're government school. The government pays for them and whoever pays for it. If you get a test by a drug company and the drug company pays for it, do you think it's going to find their drugs safe and effective? Or are they going to tell you all the flaws? Of course not. They're going to tell you it's safe and effective. We've got the people that lived in Cuba rushing to America to get away from socialism. We got the people that were living under socialism. We have many friends, our friends from Hungary go over to their house with many friends from these different nations. And they are all going more liberty and more capitalist, not only across the ex-Soviet blog, but also across South America.
You've got to wonder if socialism is as good as they teach in high school, then why are all these people trying to get away from it? And if you look to prove that we are there, Scott Moussaint, Scott, Bessent just said, I am the house. Well, I got to tell you, you might be the house, but you're just a runner. You don't actually own it. And when you are temporarily moved out, eventually we will find our own melee to come in here and cut government spending because your house is nothing but a house of cards that can't go on forever. And Devon, anything that can't go on forever won't go on forever. Wrap it up. I just want to say that you've got to be planning ahead for your retirement in your future because a failure to plan in your part does not constitute an emergency on someone else's. Devon, if you don't plan ahead, that will be a grand failure.
And there may not be a safety net left to stop you. Ethan history doesn't always exactly repeat itself, but it rhymes. And you can look back at these books like Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand and see what's going to happen. I'd like to say this is simply for a change. If you bet on safety and security, specifically given to you by the government, be it in healthcare, education or old people care, whatever you want to call that right now, it's called Social Security. Be careful what you're betting on because you might just get it good and hard. If you are willing to take risk and realize there is no such thing other than the illusion of security, go out, start a business, produce more than you consume, turn the access into hard assets that can't be stolen as easily by your government.
And that may make your retirement a whole lot more enjoyable. We'll talk to you next week. We hope you enjoyed the real power family radio show brought to you by family success triangle. We want you and your family to be financially free so you can go where you want, when you want, with whomever you want.
