About this episode

As we mark 25 years since the September 11th attacks, retired Navy Commander Kirk Lippold joins Lucas Tomlinson on the FOX News Rundown Extra to reflect on the Global War on Terror and his unique place in history. Commander Lippold was at the helm of the USS Cole when it was attacked by Al-Qaeda in October 2000, killing 17 U.S. sailors. On September 11, 2001, he was inside CIA headquarters warning officials about Osama bin Laden—just 20 minutes before the first plane struck the World Trade Center. Hear his full, unedited conversation on what America got right and wrong in the War on Terror, and what must be done to prepare for future threats. Learn more about your ad choices.
