So I think that what they're playing for on Sunday is they're trying to earn the fans back I don't think they have to win, but I think on Sunday they have to give people hope right if they go out there and they get You know to manage by the Jaguars we can explain it away all we want it's in London They're injured right all these things the Lane Johnson distraction of retiring I shouldn't say distraction But just that whole ordeal can be traded there's every reason in the book why they can go to London or leave tonight and get just Demolished by the Jags, but I don't think it's acceptable I think on Sunday they need to go out and show some fight they don't have to win

3:02But if they can go out there and let's say Willie Lampkin looks good Jake majors looks good the defense looks good But they lose the game 21 to 17 or 24 21 I think they can get on that plane back to London with some hope and with some pride So I think that's what Sunday's about. I mean we're here in London Eagles fans right now We're still feeling optimistic that are here doesn't seem like that's the case back in Philly I think they got a win back this fan base that has clearly jumped ship on them for the most part What do you wish you take on that here with 21 17 loss acceptable? Not to me. Oh come on. No, it's always a way out Joe. I know shortcut home I think it's asking a lot at a person to try to win this game There's no reason It's not jobless. I was about to say it We went into this season and we talked about the stress of this team, right now It has become the weakness of this team very quickly very very quickly man Not even five game and and and this is what we're going with so we have to pull it I know it's a tough task. I know that this is a tough ask When you talk about a undrafted guy you're putting that at guard Willie Lampkin and And Drew Kendall and another undrafted guy at center and Jake major. Yeah, you got to make shift mind

5:09but I I stand by this if You run this timing offense on time You got a chance not saying you're gonna win But you have a chance. Yeah, because that's what it's all about This is a like if the quarterback goes back there and he gets his reads and he throws the ball One time to his receivers he'll have a chance. That's it. That's what we're talking about right now Yeah, it also feels to me like the pendulum might have slung a little too far in the negative direction I understand feeling discouraged. This is not going as planned I don't think anybody expected it to look like this four weeks in from a personnel standpoint Of course not right, but then there's the other part of this where I think people maybe need to take it step back from the Edge kind of like if there we only ever had an example of the Eagles being two and two and pulling themselves out of it Right they're going up against a Jaguars team that is good But let's be honest. That's a loser franchise, right? This is not a juggernaut. They are going up against these are not the

6:13Patriots the chiefs right the Jags in their history are pretty good at one thing and that's losing so I like it is a winnable game on Sunday I just think we've gone a little far well in all hope is lost so you're right. Jalen has to beat that guy This Sunday, I think we're asking a lot. Yeah, but what else are like? How different is Jalen situation going into this game? Then maybe it was those two games think about it, right? Didn't have sake one for the majority the second game Didn't have got it for the majority of the second game. He had Devonte, which is obviously big, right? And we'll see if which plays I mean, so I was you know coming here to the is did did a did um Dantabian practice is that what you're telling Nick said this morning he was going to practice today Wow, that's very unlike Nick by the way. 11:30He did exactly what you're asking him to do on Sunday with not the same cast but not a two dissimilar cast But they're also playing maybe a better team. This might be the best thing they faced all year And that's what that's why you know, that's why I say earlier these these are the games that can make and break you As as a leader like because they're gonna be like because when we talk to Jay and Zahe he he talked about The potential power vacuum in that locker room right Jalen has to step up man Jalen is and when you talk about this offense as of right now He's the most accomplished on that offense and I think from a leadership perspective I don't know yeah, like when you said glue guy. That's what really hit me. That's what all it He's all of that so I'm looking at my leader and I know he can't do it like and I'm not sitting here and say Joe do it all by himself, right? That's not what I'm saying, but it has to start with him well And he got a drag to rest of those damn offensive players This has got to be a week he uses legs isn't it Ellie? Yeah, you mentioned the commanders can he uses legs a lot He has used them less the last few weeks I don't know something that could be game plan or whatever

12:31But like I go back to 21 which was the last time he was on the field or I guess they end of 2020 right the last time He was on the field with some part talent. He uses legs a lot like he yeah I remember hearing you say a lot like he picked up so many first downs using his legs They're gonna need that Sunday because I can't imagine he's gonna be hitting wide open Elijah Moore down the field like he's gonna have to use his legs to get them first down just stay on the field You know what's funny is I will say in training camp Elijah Moore was maybe their best receiver like he and Jalen Actually connected down to feel quite a bit But I agree with you the chances of Elijah Moore being open down the field all there slim I think one thing Jalen has done a good job of these past four weeks in total even though his field his Season kind of feels like it's in two two chapters is he is constantly Avoiding pressure now sometimes he invites that pressure, but he is avoid he is avoiding it and turning potential seven yard losses Into even a net negative, you know, just a net zero there and not losing anything So I mean the other you know again like last week no lane no Devote no sake one no gotter

13:31No landed like they almost won that game. I know I know they didn't and I know he didn't play great But he but if if they get a similar performance on Sunday to that Rams game like I think they could win the game And I think you I think people this time I feel differently about maybe well they also need a defense to help to I mean The defense that's it's a huge part of Sunday too They he needs help to try to stay in this football game. 16:39But what will we go on Andy Reed for when we talk about I'm a cook The screen game with Andy Reed was unstoppable These like nonsense wide receiver screens and bubble screens that is not the same thing Will Shipley is perfect for that. I don't know if we'll ship it perfect for him But I would also say they have two problems with the screens the wide receiver screens the blocking hasn't been good enough But also Jalen is just not great at throwing the screen pass They've they've had what five different coordinators under kind of leave the rest of the game You've got to lead it He's a million dollar quarterback. He needs not to make the throw. I agree with you on it Yeah, but nobody's arguing it but like we could hand him 60 million tomorrow Steve He's not gonna be any better than who he is. He doesn't have to be paid manning doing that But he has to be better than what he's been in order to make this office So I get that but I think the real issue is the lack of talent at receiver that they have

He gets it to him Be I think the defender collapses on him beat he puts it under the hoop to jail and Brown and it's kind of just a surreal thing to even Really see right so I definitely thought there were times last night where it looked very easy You know, I am not gonna lie. It's a little funny. He made his six years debut in New York Yeah, Brooklyn. Yeah, it goes very nice of him But I walk home after the game exactly, but no you could see the potential last night Well, you couldn't he what I just think he's gonna make my fees it for everybody for VJ

The one guy that I I don't know how it's gonna I just need to see it is the M.B. Part of this because when I see LeBron and I see some of these highlights It's tempo they're moving up and down the court. They all want to prove they want to work together So we'll see as a season goes nice here by the end But but the other thing that I would say that that stood out last night is you think of the last few years The sixers have had him beat and like maybe one other great player for different stretches Ben Simmons early in his career Jimmy Butler James Hardin Maxi But you know, it was hard to keep either both on the floor or one on the floor now They would generally have five guys where it's gonna be hard not to have two or three of them on the floor at all times

27:00So it's just the amount of talent they have was just clearly on display the other thing and I'm not again It's a preseason game. We got a long way to go. What do we? Probably 11 days far away from the open season starts earlier than he used to yeah, right so a couple weeks to go I'm excited that we're gonna have the sixers earlier in the season to get us excited considering we don't know where this Eagle season is Yeah, I mean here. I mean a couple weeks from now the sixers might be and I'm not saying the Eagles can't turn around But the sixers might be clearly the most exciting thing in town Yeah, people are gonna be excited about it and and we're gonna you know, especially if this thing goes south like we anticipated They can believe Believe in the quarter but sometimes they could be blind faith, but I mean, I'm okay with that at least you recognize Oh, yeah, yeah, I think recognize but don't you think more more people should believe Considering what they've accomplished. Yeah, yeah, like considering what they've accomplished considering we've seen them in this situation before Do they not deserve to a certain extent of benefit of the doubt for some people that this is I think they do deserve the benefit of the doubt but
