Welcome to Drinking Throw! Yeah, welcome to Drinking Bros Kids! I got a fun little Friday morning show for you here today on Patreon. Rocking it on Patreon. All you guys have written in saying, hey dude, I love the morning shows, nice to have coffee with you instead of... And Jenna, Jenna Bush! Who's the black one, Craig? Craig Melvin, I think, is the other one. I was gonna say you're asking the wrong person. I know, we keep it on, brother. We keep it on at the house and we'll go through the greatest hits, see what the big news is for the day, and then come in because that's kind of like the last piece of news that you're getting before you come in here. Now we have Blue.
Now, Blue has been our go-to right before the show guy of watching The Weirdest Shit on the Planet and then saying, hey dude, what do you think about this? Which I love. What's this video that you were watching literally right before we went on air that we changed the name of the show to? It's important, okay? You just gotta watch the clip. What does that even mean? It's important. I mean, you'll see when you watch the clip. I think we all understand. Okay, I look, God. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Audio listeners here that that 22nd clip appeared to be dudes from medieval times holding
modern weaponry. Is that correct? That sounds about right to me. Okay. You gave a description, yeah. All right. And this is AI. You said, yes, this is tough. But before we went on, I said you said you were watching something. I was like, I was like, AI, is that a video game or anything else? And then you said, hey dude, there is a video game of this. There's an actual things people are making. Yeah, it's an early access now. It's called King Makers. King Makers. And what is King Makers all about? Well, let's play the trailer. All right. Is it this guy? All right. All right. God. Now, this looks slightly different because it looks like modern dudes dropped into medieval times. The AI video seems like it was arming medieval soldiers with modern weaponry. This is actually like modern operators going back in time to change the tides in the medieval battles. God, it got it, got it.
Okay. Which, this is obviously a scenario that I know me and I'm sure thousands of the men in the audience have gone through. Had this debate at some point in life? Yeah. Okay. It's an interesting one and we can have it here today. I think it's like 500 kindergarteners versus an adult. Or what was it? 100 gorillas versus a man. I think we did that show too. It's like a 100 men versus one gorilla. Something crazy like that. And then Dan Perks up over there. You said it would take you and how many people to defeat a medieval? I mean, what would you say is the size of the average medieval army? Couple thousand people. That's a great question. Yeah. That was it. I was thinking about that before we were getting started as we, if we're going to determine this, we kind of need to set up the scenario because if we're talking about a campaign, that's going to be different than a single battle. Um, yes. So the third crusade typically numbered between 12 and 25,000 people.
Oh, then he kind of get it done. South had more than that in the Civil War. Well, that's not really comparable. But everything goes back to the Civil War in the South. Didn't have enough people, Dan. Every single problem in the world. I don't think Dan Sacker. Yeah, yeah. It is. It's fucking science, man. Jesus Christ. Why? Dr. Fauci exists for a reason. This is nuts here. All right. So 12,000 people, how many would it take you with modern shit? Um. Yeah. I mean, it depends on the style of attack. But yeah, we leave and helicopters off the table. What do we, is there anything we're taking off the table? I would just say small arms, mortars and machine guns because that's comparable to what they had. Yeah. Yeah. I think if you had air power to it, it's just automatically. Yeah. You just drop a fucking J-dam on these people and their whole village. But yeah, I think a company of dudes could take out 10,000 people for sure.
How many is in the company? 160. So 160 versus 12,000. Yeah. What say you? You were in the military. What do you got, Koop? Well, I mean, Dan's got way more experience than I do. So I defer to him. But the, so I've heard a lot of speculation about this from different YouTube channels and things like that. Oh, this is a huge debate, dude. That's what we had. By the way, when we walked in, we had a totally different show plan. And then blooped TV was over there, fucking watching his weird shit. And I was like, what is that, dude? So what was your debate then? So to me, the only thing that's really the only way that the medieval army could possibly win is in mass human wave attacks that just overwhelm the defenders. Because I'm assuming this is going to be a defense situation. Or are we talking about the modern army going on the attack? But also, if this is going to be a campaign, if this is going to be multiple battles, I actually think that I'd lean a little bit more towards a medieval army compared to the modern army.
Whoa, really? For an extended campaign, yeah, I think. What do you mean by extended? Yeah, how long? I mean, just average length of a... Well, like Russian Ukraine is 4.5 years right now. Oh, let's see. Well, give me a second. I'll look up and see if I can find a comparable situation in the past. Because if you're going that long, those motherfuckers are used to finding food and everything like they don't... I think they've gone on longer with less. Yeah, it's a lot easier to find food with a fucking machine gun. Is it? Yeah. But I mean, if you're obviously lacing up a fucking deer, like all that shit everywhere, like, you know, are you saying just one clean shot? Yeah, well, we have snipers too. Okay. How many snipers are in your unit? In a company, usually we'll have... Each... There's not always snipers.
I guess it depends. Not everybody goes to sniper school. But snipers are important, I think. Usually we'll have two designated marksmen in each weapon's squad, which is... That would be... I'm going into this with an open mind knowing nothing about military strategy or battle here. And if you have two, Koop, how do you stop those two guys? What's the scenario one more time? I was looking up the average camera. Well, we can go through a couple of them. So mass infantry frontal assault, let's say that, is the first one. And I think that's the modern on the attack. The immediate advantage is obviously range. I can sit back and pick you off all day long, but you're behind a castle wall. Now, I can drop mortars on your head too. And, you know, this is the siege problem with access to the land.
I can survive indefinitely and conserve. Whereas you and the castle walls have finite resources. Maybe it's two years, right? That's usually what they tried to pack out for us two years. But... In the medieval times? Yeah. But still, that wouldn't stop me. So modern army attacking a blank siege to a medieval castle. Yeah, I'd say modern army is going to win 100% of the time. If you switch those roles, if it's the modern army defending, I think they're still going to win. And that won't be more of an advantage if they're the ones defending. Let's just say open ground, right? How about that? Just the level of that playing field. Because there's no way... Unless it's... Without sustained combat, the medieval guys have no chance. Because I can wait you out. I can kill you a little bit at a time. I always have... If you don't use your full numbers against me, then I always have the advantage, no matter what it is. So scavenging for resources, advantage, just because you were in medieval times.
I know how to clean the food too and not die. Fucking dysentery, right? You're also washing your hands, so you're probably not shitting yourself to death. So that disease and all that shit is not an issue for me. So you mentioned... Let's take the most extreme version of size of force over the smallness. I guess you could say of a company level element. And that is repeated human wave attacks. Now I know that sounds problematic to the non-empager man, but that's not an issue for me at all. Because I can set my folks up in a big diamond. That's probably what I would do as a diamond shape because it's the most secure. But I can set my people up in a diamond. That means there's two triangles folded like this. The rear one is preparing to attack and guarding our flank. And the front one is my assault element as it pertains to the people that are coming there.
In the middle of my diamond shape are 60 and 81 millimeter mortars that are dropping on no man's land the entire time these assholes are trying to come at me. That with intersecting feels a fire for machine guns. Yeah, there's going to be some body stacked. At some point 10,000 bodies gets pretty high. I would imagine, right? Eventually that their own bodies are actually going to turn into an obstacle that they have to over. They're going to be climbing over the top of the bodies and getting picked off as they go over the top. Oddly enough, this is what John Baselone received the metal bonnet for. For running out into no man's land on the Uijima and pulling bodies down, put the Chinese bodies down or Japanese bodies, excuse me, down so they still had a clear line of fire into the wood line. I guess you couldn't call it a wood line because there's old bamboo and shit, but the tree line on the other side. But even if it came down to, this is my point. For that size element, I would have 1,000 rounds of 81s or 120s depending on what I brought.
I would have 1,500 to 2,000 rounds of 60s. I would have probably 50 to 150,000 rounds of 762 for my 240 Bravo machine guns. Usually one of the weapons squads will also have a Mark 19, which is a fully automatic 40-millimeter grenade launcher, which can also do some work when it comes to the field. Of course, I would have probably for a five-day campaign, 150 to 200,000 rounds of 556. That's what I would plan for. This is a light infantry company, by the way. If it was mechanized, they would have no chance just to be clear. Yeah, as soon as the sun is on. I don't mean tanks. How does it mean humvees? They'd be dead. I could just drive over. You had me at the snipers. You had me at the snipers? The snipers are the least important part of this. I just don't think they would ever be able to see them.
Well, no, but that's the least important part because the sniper can only kill one guy at a time. I'm going six to nine round bursts with two machine guns. That's 14 to 18 rounds into a sector of fire every second that I'm operational. He's never fired a gun before. Is that Kim Jong-un up there? Sir, you put him by himself against the medieval village? It's over. But as Kim wins. As people are coming towards me, right, I'm dropping mortars in front of and behind them. I have two mortar teams dropping mortars in front of and behind them if I'm capable of doing that, which I would be, and putting them into a kill box even inside of No Man's Land. Then I have intersecting field of fire doing this basically on multiple points, probably four points across the front of my formation. And that's like anybody that walks into it is immediately dead.
Now, routing is a thing in medieval warfare. We don't talk about that much anymore, but you're just assuming everybody's hopped upon caught and this is Somalia, right? They're just going to keep coming wave after wave. That's not how it works in real life. It never has in human history, but let's just say for the sake of worrying about that happens. At some point, it's not about running out of ammo or even reloading or anything like that. The bigger problem is the barrels heating up on these guns, right? Switching out the barrels, you got to be very proficient at that. Same with the mortar too. Then you've got to have, dude, pour in water on or pissing on tubes or whatever, right? Unless you've got some other kind of setup for that. That's a big problem. But even when, even if there's a situation where the front end of our diamond starts to get over on, because as these guys are getting gray on ammo, these guys are moving up to
either resupply them or take their positions or change the guns out or whatever one by one. I was going to ask that was like the Roman tactic where you're constantly swapping out your front line. It's a constant rotation, kind of like the failings. And then if it appears as though we can't operate on that triangle right here anymore, we can back the entire element up 100 meters in unison, right? And if they start to break through anything, we do something called, well, I mean, it's called a lot of things, but we usually, if we're still trying to kill people, if we're just trying to get the fuck out of Dodge, then it's just breaking contact. But if you break, you can break contact and use something called appealing maneuver and it's bounding overwatch. I stop. I look, the other guy runs, whatever. But in this case, especially in your diamond formation, you have machine gun setup on the outside of that. So as dudes pass, what is, I guess, a reverse L away, you call last man and anybody else
that comes through, they're just getting lit up with the machine gun until they get set, set, then you pick up your guns, run, and they cover you up the middle and then the guns move out to the side that the new set of guns move out to the side. Those guns run through whatever the fucking you keep breaking contact like that. It's called the funnel effect. And you direct the enemy into an inflate, whereas just, you can do it a lot of different ways. You can do guns here pointing in or you can, if you have enough separation, if they're taken too long, you can set up L shaped and just wait for them to come into a kill box and wipe them all out at one time or whatever, right? There's a million ways to handle that. So stupid question here because I get to ask it. Would the bullet be able to pierce their metal armor easily? Yeah. Okay. What's not a real metal? I mean, it is, but it's not. Anything is going to stop a bullet. Okay. We don't use metal to stop bullets. We use ceramic and fucking sand and shit like that. It's so have you guys put it on before like a chain links, you know, medieval suit and all that shit? I've worn chain mail before, but I've never worn actual plate mail.
So we did it for a movie. It is fucking heavy as shit. I didn't know if the heaviness and the thickness of it, heaviness and hardness are not the same thing. Okay. So a bullet would go through it. Yeah. Okay. Pretty easy. The sex is steel core round sevens excuse the steel core round. And it would it would pierce that pretty easily. Yes. Yeah. There were some early, there was some plate like some crossover where there was some plate armor that could stop early firearms, but they overcame that pretty quickly. Got it. Yeah. And they were shooting. They were firing round projectiles at that point. Yeah. Not pointed ones with steel cores. Another dumb question for you here. This is like a fan thing right now. Okay. I really want to point that out. This is a fan thing. I see a picture like this and I picture a machine gun just mowing down the legs of these horses. And then I would do everybody falls off. Is that's yeah. The cavalry charge would actually be a bit of a problem, which is why cavalry exists. Once the medieval commanders recognize mounted formations can't stop.
Can't move through that area. They're going to start trying to flank and horses are faster than people. Right. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Get into a foot race with a horse. So that's why I'm using that diamond shape because I have three under six degree security the whole time. Gotcha. Gotcha. Yeah. So that's what it's like. I mean, it's like a lot harder. You've got to, um, everybody gets a vote and war. That's the interesting thing about it. So for me, I've got to explain that. It's like who gets to vote? Everybody in the 160 people or. No, no, no, no. I don't mean it to democracy. I mean, the enemy gets a vote. So they can change up their tactics too. I'm not. If I know that I'm going up against a mounted element like that, I'm going into the fucking hills, right?
I have to go into like hills and trees. Stop that. Ricky tick. That's even that old dude that was running from that fucking buffalo, tried to run through the trees. There's a reason for that's because they can't go through solid objects. Right. But it's something like that. You'd essentially, you'd have to dig in somewhere, right? Um, dig in. I don't know if I would, it depends. If I had overhead cover from the tree line. Yeah. But even then you're, um, if they've got cannons and shit like that, you're looking at a bass tone. Trees exploding around you just like, uh, just like in, uh, the, uh, the 506. Yeah, you don't want that either. Like you don't want to fucking give the enemy extra projectiles sitting around you. Either. But yeah, we, we also have, um, like they have scout, or they have scouts that will go out and, and do harassment campaigns, even in the middle of a campaign and stuff like that. Um, we have battle drill and alpha. So if somebody, if we're moving through an area and somebody starts, uh, and trying to
engage with us, or if we even see them actually and we know that we're going to engage with them, we lay down a support by fire element and then send a crew up and around to flank them immediately. It's just that's, that happens immediately. You know what I mean? In this case, and a company element, that'd be an entire platoon of 40 dudes going out there. Um, and 40 dudes with, uh, a couple of machine guns and, and six saws can do a lot of damage. You know, when there's a whole company in front of the guys firing from that direction to, so this would be easy. And how long would it take? Nothing's easy, but you could wipe out 10,000 dudes and fucking, I mean, how many people died at Normandy? Uh, shit. It was roughly 10,000 casualties, uh, 4,414 deaths. Okay.
That was 40, uh, German, or is it, no, it was 80 German machine guns that did that. Right. Wow. But those are 80, uh, MG 42 machine guns insanely high rate of fire. Yeah. So, uh, but mostly machine guns firing from an elevated position to, from a distance. Um, if you're talking about like a mobile infantry unit, yeah, you could, you could do that in, I could wipe all these dudes out in a day, like a full day of fighting. Yeah. Maybe two, but I would plan for five. Okay. All right, Dan, then we get some sponsors to put this shit wagon on the air. First and foremost, first form dot com forward slash drink in, bros. But he's loving that healthy bro of the week, dude. Um, we love seeing you guys out there. And we'll do that at the end of the show today.

Look, how many of those do you have now? Get a boxing glove on. I don't know because my kids all get them.
So that's the thing, man. It's like, it was on Facebook and Instagram and everything else. I've told this story before with this. This is truly how this one started. You're like, can I get these or whatever? And I was like, all right, cool, man, I'll get them for you. You know, they serve you kind of the same ads. Like once you buy something off a website. Yeah. And so I didn't know they had all the NHL teams, all the NFL teams, all the college teams, everything else, but then they swap them with each other. So my kid took the Ohio State one. We did the Drinking Bros. Wait two early college football prediction show. He was like, dude, I love that, dude. And he's like, can I have it? And what am I going to say? No. No, you can't have it. You're not heartless. I'm not heartless. Well, and we have an advertiser that gives us 40% off for Christ's 6. Did I use my own promo code? Yes. Have I used separate emails for this? Sure have. Dude, I've ordered, I think, no lie, dude, like six or seven on my own. And like I'm using my wife's and crime corner and like every email we have.
Just so I can get the 40% off. But yeah, they trade them. So like they'll trade pendants and things like that, or they'll have bets against each other where it's like, hey, dude, you know, if Ohio State loses, you'll have to wear mine and vice versa. Dude, I would have totally gotten into that if I were there age. Same. So it's like, all right, cool, because a lot of this is gold plated or silver plated or whatever it is. So the price is reasonable. And with 40% off, like some of this stuff's like 50 bucks. So I'm like, all right, cool man, you guys have fun. And it's a fun way to get them all involved in the sports. And then the other thing I think is my honest to God truth on this, just coaching all their teams. I think because they all wear it in games, then they want to be like each other. You know, like, hey, I want to be like my older brother and blah, blah, blah, blah. I've gotten a Carolina Hurricanes won in Ohio State won a New York Yankees won, wife's a big Yankees fan. So the kids choose sides, you know what I'm saying? And I like that. Like, I don't mind that. And then they'll sit and watch the game, which I like.
So at the end of the day, yeah, dude, am I buying this for them? Yeah, dude, I'm fine with it. I love this. And I reached out to them. This is me. This is all me. I have a show on this one here. Times the thing that I'm still seeing is one of the bigger problems. The human wave thing was my first big concern. But yeah, if you've got the two different lines that are switching out, you could take care of that pretty well. But it seems like regardless of the situation, if the modern army doesn't, like the modern
unit doesn't end the fight as quickly as possible, if it gets dragged out, the longer it's dragged out, the... Only if I run out of ammo. That's the only scenario where that's a problem. I was thinking even just, even protecting your own formation. So you've got 100%. Here's the thing about protective my own formation. I can see it. I can see it night and they can't. Ah, yeah. Optics. Yeah, fuck. They're going to meet the green eye devil. To be honest, that's why I say one day. Because if the sun sets, they have to start fires, which to stop me from seeing them at night. As soon as the sun goes down there, fuck, you guys can just go in and pick them off at your leisure. Okay. So yeah, time's not an issue. Modern war. Yeah, modern war. Of course we have grenades and shit like that. It depends, again, everybody gets a vote on this stuff. But if I have access to the battlefield even a little bit, even only my sector of it, I've got clay moors all over the fucking place. They make one wrong move. The whole, the ground opens up.
You know what I mean? It's just a different kind of situation. They didn't think about things that way. Or I guess maybe they didn't have the capability to do it in such an easy fashion that we didn't have anti-personal minds and stuff like that. They had gunpowder. So they could have made them. They just didn't think too, I guess. They didn't think to make like pipe bombs. You could have easily made a pipe bomb and out of glass jars and shit like that with just peach chunks of metal in it back then. And I don't think it really occurred to them. Maybe it did. And I didn't know that. So if we stick specifically to militaries before the invention of gunpowder, what ancient military do you think would be the most difficult thing? I was just going to say that. Yeah. Yeah. Like what's the closest one? Like, year-wise. That would put up a fight. Persia, just because of the numbers. Persia? Yeah. How many people do they have? Millions? Yeah. Three million, I think, at the cheese. Like the rice. There's three million retards. But they, I don't know how many actual good fighters they have, but three million people you're not beating out with any amount of.
One retard is hard to beat, dude. A lot of them, three million. The reason why I find this so fascinating is I don't know what case you guys are doing next week. But Jesse studies those cases for crime corner and I asked for the same question of like, what's the year? I guess it is literally last night. What's the year which you could get away with the murder of the easiest versus now? Because there's so many fucking cameras and all that other shit. I mean, without blinking an eye, she said the 1970s. Yeah, I was just going to say it. Start to get hard right around the 1970s. And I asked her the same questions I was asking Dan. I was like, why? And it was like, well, there's no cameras. There's no thing. People were trusting you go and trespassing. It was impossible. There was no DNA testing all the other shit. One would imagine your obviously. And testing existed in the 70s. To this extent. The issue was convincing courts that it was real. Right. We had that problem in Iraq actually. We had murders and bomb makers with DNA on the bomb making equipment and they thought
it was magic. The judges in Iraq were like, what are you talking about? Are you kidding? And tell that he touched this? How? They didn't believe it. And we had to bring in people to explain to them that the earth is not 5,000 years old. You fucking 78 IQ turd. But it's amazing how quickly all of this can change because that's 50 years, right? What's the last, so, all right, besides Persian, what's the war before that? Like, what were two do it? No, we're just, World War II is modern as far as weapons go. What do you mean versus today? World War II versus today? That would be a fight. Our tactics are a lot better now. We can see it night and they couldn't see it night. But if you're fighting against World War II Arab people, you have to include aircraft because they have aircraft. You have to include tanks because they have tanks and that's it.
But you look at, if it's just guy versus guy, if it's just like a light infantry platoon versus another light infantry platoon, they had fucking those shitty anti-tank rockets at their level and we've got AT4s and javelins. I mean, I can fucking, I can look straight ahead and see your thing, press two buttons and do a top, what's called a top down attack on your fucking position. It goes straight out up and then right down on top of your head. That's an AT4. That's an AT4. That's an AT4, that's just a direct fire weapon. I don't think that during World War II, they even had any anti-tank capabilities that could penetrate modern armor. They had a bazooka. The bazooka could go through modern armor now. Oh, yeah. Nothing, no, no. Nothing, man. Now the bazooka, the bazooka, the bazooka bounced off of the German tanks most of the time. Oh, shit. And they had that one, they didn't have a 203 or the M320 now, I think is what we use,
but they had that one grenade that fit to the end of the rifle that you could pop off. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it had a little blank into it to fire it. With that thing fucking sucks. So if you're looking at this picture here that the blue pop up, thank you for doing this. You're roughly, it looks like wearing the same type of gear, it's similar. Obviously the shoes and all that other stuff are better and the weapons are more high tech, but is it that much bigger, bigger of an upgrade if you're looking at these two pictures right here? By the way, subscribe to Patreon right now because there's a lot of pictures and videos and shit. Yeah, to you, I mean, it's not even close. So the M1 Grand can fire 50 rounds a minute. I can fire 900. Holy shit. Yep. You're fucked. Holy shit. Yeah, thank you. And then in regards to what they're wearing, obviously there's a lot more armor in today's. We would be heavier, yeah. So going through a hilly terrain and switchbacks and shit like that, fighting through the
hill, the mountains might be a little bit more difficult. I mean, anybody's been to a fantasy and those that were fighting goat herders who've spent their entire lives up there and they're quite a bit. Even these like small weak turds are better than navigating through that stuff than a lot of us are. You know, it's funny. I asked my grandfather this question. He fought one word too. His response was we would kill them. I guess we would kill today's troops. And I go, why is that? And he goes, they're all a bunch of fucking posties. That's what every generation thinks about the next. That was my next question to you. Now, if you take any weapons out of the situation, what generation do you think would win? Of what generation of who? Americans? World War II. World War II. World War II. Modern, for sure. Modern? World War II. We're so much bigger than they were. That much bigger? Yeah. Physically? No. My grandfather was a big dude. There's exceptions, but the average dude back then was a lot smaller than we are now. Yeah, I don't think I could have beat my grandpa even when he was in his 80s.
That's what I feel like, too. We've got... He lives at 88. Well, I guess it depends on which generation talking about, but X and millennial got way bigger than, uh, then greatest or lost, um, height, weight, everything. Quite a bit bigger. So if he was talking about hand to hand, yeah, that would be a tough fight for them. But toughness, more broadly speaking, they're probably tougher. They went through, they grew up tougher, so of course, they're probably tougher. Yeah, that was his point where he goes, dude, the shit that we grew up with made us tougher, like I don't really fucking care. Maybe, but once you start fighting to the death, everybody gets tough. That's just not... Once that survival instinct kicks in. I'm not sure that would work out where you're going. That was the only time I, like, he perked up. You know, like I used to fucking bother him as a kid about it. When he was talking about the question and the answer was, the younger generation. It was the only time, because otherwise, I've said this on the show before, um, he never talked about it. Same with my other grandfather, your father, your father, your father, you never talked about it. Uh, great grandfather was more than happy to talk about, uh, World War One, um, because his
situation was, he was so poor, he was cutting, uh, heads off the chickens in Tiffin, Ohio. We just have at 14 years old. We have... We have bet, we're like, we're healthier than they were. Believe it or not, despite all everything, but we have access to way more calories than they ever did. Um, and there's actually been an accidental study about this. A blue could probably pull it up, uh, North versus South Korea in the last 80 years. So they are the exact, ethnically speaking, they are the exact same people. All, all genetically identical. And 80 years ago, the communists took over North Korea and the capitalists took over South Korea. And in North, they got fed government portioned rice and then the South, they protein. And the difference in body composition, just in, uh, what, three generations, four generations is why they're not even the same race of people anymore. Uh, shit, I'm looking at it here.
It says, uh, North Korean preschool children can be up to five inches shorter and 15 pounds lighter than South Koreans. North Korea just changed their, uh, and legitimate requirements where you can enlist in the military if you're like 95 pounds or 85 pounds and, uh, four, four seven or four eight pounds. The fuck are what it is? You wouldn't be able to do anything at four seven and 85 pounds. I mean, Jagger's bigger than that. I was gonna, let me see if I can find it. It's on some of the millions. If you had a million of them, yeah, for sure. But even like, he's, he's playing up like two or three years because he has six. There's not enough kids here. Uh, and he's a big kid, but like, he still gets fucking smoked by those older kids. Man, just because of their size and their weight. Um, has nothing to do with mental smartness either. It's just literally size and weight. Um, so yeah, from what I'm reading here, it sounds like North Korea might be doing something right because North Korean, uh, North Korean women on average weigh 20 pounds less than South
Korean women. I think they have to. You have a South Korean woman or not fat. There's only one fat person in North Korea. That's Kim Jong-un. Yeah. There's only one fat person in Asia. And we're in a, a rice diet all day. I don't really do it to you. Uh, so the North Korean, uh, height requirement is 148 centimeters, which is 4.8 feet. Holy shit. Wow. A third requirement. So, you know, so let me ask you the biggest overall question than more wise. Is that like this video game is fascinating. When does this come out? Uh, it's an early, uh, King Makers is the name of the game. It's an early access right now. Not a sponsor, by the way. And I don't play video games. I don't know anything about it. But it's coming from an independent game developer. I'm always a fan of these games. Man, there's a lot of those coming out, man. They're the only ones making good games anymore. Fuck. I, that's what I heard. There's, uh, uh, another big YouTuber who's doing it right now. Um, they've got their own game coming out. They said the same thing. Can you just do it AI wise? I mean, before I started the job that I had immediately before I came into podcasting,
I was making video games. I was making them. Did you have to sit in those fucking rooms? Uh, no, it was me and my brother and law. We were doing independent game development. Wow. Yeah, here we go. Uh, so Korea until 1945 was one group of people. And then the men are now three inches taller on average in South Korea. Um, yeah, they reduced the height requirement to four foot eight because two few seventeen year olds could were four foot, uh, ten, which is what it was before. Okay. So they had two few midgets already. The people that you see in those North Korean parades are the biggest and well fed people that exist in that country. And they're the only ones. Everybody else is a child. Um, in South Korea, about 50 years ago, they started eating protein. Um, and the women since have grown have gained eight inches in height on average.
Block eight inches. Um, yeah, it's why aren't we using that study here then? We are we protein. No, I, well, do we? Yes. I mean half of us do. Damn. I mean, I eat the meat stick. That's for sure. Yeah. Um, so biggest overall question here. Is there any army or military over time that could be any US military over time? It depends on the size. Is, is numbers just the, the biggest factor here? It's the only limiting factor. Okay. You're talking about that you can only shoot so many people. I mean, if it was 10 million people, how are you going to shoot them? Yeah. So you just proved my point. South could have won. South could have. It all comes back to this. That was like, that was the purpose of this whole episode. Yeah. That was it. It broke us into it. Man, and in the textbooks back in the day in Georgia, every one of them said the same thing. I'm not kidding. Uh, South would have won if they would have had more people.
Swear to God. I forget what the numbers were, but they said it was like 12 to one maybe, um, that the union outnumbered, uh, the Confederates. But I used to hear that in, in my fucking history classes, up for an over and over again. And they didn't say it like in a racist manner. They just said, Hey, we don't have enough people. I mean, they're just state infected. I don't know. And like, I never, we didn't have, I'll delude myself. I don't have the fucking Internet, dude. Yeah. So I'm seeing a 2.1 to 2.6 million soldiers served in the union army. We're roughly 750,000 to 1.2 million served in the Confederate force. Yeah, dude. So what was the biggest issue there? Issue with what? Just people in civil war. What do you mean? Uh, blue, if you go by those numbers, let's go by the low estimate there of 700,000 versus 2.2 million. Is that all it is? We're my history teachers rights. It wasn't just about the numbers.
It was about industrial power and, and, uh, logistics, logistics, win wars, soldiers win battles, logistics win wars. Um, and the set, the North had more like the, the South was able to produce more textiles and stuff, but as far as metal and everything went, which you used to win wars, the fucking North had more medicine, the North had more, et cetera, et cetera. Gotcha. Now the reason I asked this is if you're coming up with a video game, if it's all just logistics like you say during these wars, I think recreating these wars and then giving people the opportunity to change logistics of them might be a winner then because that was the whole theme of, uh, the last Indiana Jones, by the way. It was a, it was a catap fucking sucked and I'll ruin it for you unless you want to cover your ears now for a spoiler. Oh, it was ruined in pre-production. God, it sucked. Um, I was, my kid wanted to say it so like I went and I scratched that. I wanted to say it for the AI because they, they de-aged Harrison Ford like 35 years.
Motherfucker really looked like he did when he started. So like that's when I knew AI was really going to be good one day, but some, uh, cause they had a shit ton of money to do it in advance. So the whole thing is getting through this time portal. So Hitler could with this one particular war and then change the course of war two, where the Nazis would have won. And God damn it, he kept saying this date throughout the movie. I want to say like August 21st or something like that. Uh, and there was one particular battle that if Hitler doesn't make this mistake according to Indiana Jones, whatever the last movie is, Germany could have won this war. But that Hitler fucked it up. So yeah, I mean, that's not that, that sounds good in a fucking movie. But I didn't, but here's the thing. I didn't really believe it in a movie. So therefore I didn't like the movie at all because I was like, well, you know, you don't, I'm with you. Like you can't change weather and other factors and all this other shit, right? I don't see how one maneuver, uh, could have affected that war personally.
And no, I mean his, uh, biggest mistake. Was probably. It's debatable. You could say it's either, um, pushing into the cold areas of Russia. From no real reason, frankly, uh, or declared war and in December 41 on the US after Japan bombed us. Maybe he felt like he had to, I mean, he was crazy at that point. Some fucking snort and math like crazy, but, um, that was a smart. It wasn't smart to open up a two front war on yourself, even though we were already involved through lendlies and shit like that. Um, yeah, the like whatever political constraints were on the US, vis-a-vis interdicting and, and the European theater were completely removed at that point. Like FDR had all the, he wanted that by the way. He wanted to be able to deploy to Europe and Hitler gifted it to him.
That was the end of the war, basically. It was just a matter of time at that point. I'm going to type in World War II time in Indiana Jones and see what it was. Cause now I'm curious. And I don't know enough about history to, uh, you guys know me before fucking 1916. Nothing exists, but, um, uh, the last one. So it opens with the major sequence set in 1944, Nazi occupied castle. Man, and they were going back to it. I think would have been a much, much more interesting approach to that story is instead of saying like, oh, we have to go back and make sure Hitler loses this battle or else the Nazis are going to win World War II. What if they found out that if Hitler will like never rose to power, an even worse person would come into power. So they have to go back in time and make sure Hitler comes into power and starts World War II. So they didn't, they definitely didn't do that. It was a, it was a, it was a, it would have been more interesting. Yeah, I agree. But it was a German guy who was just help bent on, hey dude, we should have won this war and we wouldn't, you know, have to deal with any of this.
Shits, but he made this one fatal flaw. And so they set this clock and then they went back and did it. I forget what the clock was set for. Okay, so the, the dial of destiny is what they called it. And characters, she's taking years rather than nice, right? And then it sends them off down this fucking road here, like in this dial of destiny. And if he gets it correct, he could have changed the course of human history based on one thing, but I'm with you. I don't think it would have mattered that one thing, whatever it was. I think it was entering Russia or something. But yeah, I saw it in theaters once and I was all good. Then they end up the plane flips through a fucking, I'll really ruin it now for you.
It goes through a time portal and puts them back to like, ancient Greece, where the plane, a plane shows up in ancient Greece. And there's fucking chips and like the Odyssey and everything. And I was like, I'm all done here. Wasn't this one supposed to set it up for like a female Indiana Jones? Yeah, they had her in the movie. She was weird. It wasn't very good and the whole thing, but all of this is interesting. Is there a fucking date in time that you think would have changed the world? If we would have gone back and fixed it, thought he'd be fixed it. Well, I was reading, obviously we're studying up on the midterms, getting ready for the big midterm show and all that other shit, right? There's still a lot of people that are convinced if JFK wasn't assassinated, that it would have changed the course of American history and politics. Do you believe in that? Maybe. Yeah, I mean, that was the rise of globalism.
He wanted to maintain control of our own shit. And eyes are now word-warned about the military industrial complex getting involved in the profit motive from that. And all that stuff, yeah, but I don't know that... I don't know if the one thing is what it was. Anytime you lose a strong leader, no matter what the conditions are, there's going to be fallout from it. I just, I don't know if that was the guy. Yeah. What about Lincoln? What about him? If he would have lived longer, do you think things would have been gone a little smoother, a little differently, anything like that? Maybe. I mean, there was a lot of... There was a lot of... A lot of forces working against reconstruction after the Civil War, the Associated Press for one.
Yeah. Western Union both helped steal an election for rather for behave. So he could essentially nullify reconstruction and push Jim Crow and push us into the Jim Crow era, I guess, or continue it. But yeah, maybe, maybe Lincoln was a pretty successful leader. You could say, federalizing stuff, suspending habeas corpus, you know, it's... Some people think that Lincoln was arsella, like in Roman times. Sometime before Julius Caesar, Rome got into some big trouble. There's a lot of corruption and blah, blah, blah. Same kind of stuff you think about now in US politics. And Sulla kind of took seized power for a while, set things right, and then the Republic went back kind of to what it was before.
And some people see that as a victory. Like every now and again, you need a strong man to step in and do XYZ. And things will go back to normal. Well, what it did and reality was open the floodgates. After him, everyone that was a military commander, especially ones that were born in the purple, as to say, royal blood, went out to conquest for Rome. Like they said it was for Rome, but really it was to build an army and build their fortune. And it was, you know, Pompeii and Julius Caesar and the first Triumberan, then eventually Caesar made his way through Gal, become the richest man, one of the richest men in Rome, and parked his army outside the gates. It said, hey, we need to have a conversation. Things are getting back to Sulla days again. So I'm going to have to sell you for a while. And that's what he did. And then he was assassinated and then things went into the second Triumber with Antony and Augustus, who would become Augustus anyways.
And eventually Augustus got rid of one Antony and Cleopatra killed themselves in Egypt. And he became the emperor and then the Rome became the empire after that. So, you know, if you think about it in terms of Rome, we look back at Lincoln and say, you know, bribing people and threatening people to get rid of slavery, spending habeas, corpus, deporting, a sitting U.S. congressman for being against the war, all sorts of other crazy shitty dead. All right, well, it all worked out, so that's fine. And he's an American hero and he's on the fucking, he's on the statue now. But maybe he's America Sulla. Maybe that was, maybe that rung the bell that can't be unrung for the seizure of power now. We think back at him and see ourselves in a situation now where there's so much corruption and fucked up shit and we want to change things. And it's appealing to us now to have some strong man come in. The problem is one of those strong men is going to be the last strong man and there'll be no republic left.
So that's something that you should be concerned about as well. Yeah, I look at that movie Lincoln. I'm a big DD L fan, obviously always have been always will. I think he's the greatest actor we've ever had, Daniel DeLewis, who played Lincoln and even watching that film, the film I was watching fucking Lincoln for Christ's Sakes. All those back room dealings that you're talking about to get all these people to fucking sign off on everything remind me of modern day politics and I was like, fuck man. What if that's what set it off, but I also don't know what politics was like before that, which you do. Another date that was brought up to me or another thing that was brought up to me was what if the US had never taken on slaves? How much different with this country be if we never imported slaves from Africa? Unlikely the rapid expansion of wealth early on, but I don't know how much it would have affected us long term. I mean, you got to set those conditions to we don't have slavery, but do we still have indentured servitude from coastal Europe?
If so, we probably just lean on that for longer to do the same thing. Do we still have a quasi slave labor from China, though they were getting paid to build the West and the railroads and stuff, probably, right? Without the African slave trade, yeah, we still the Atlantic slave term, excuse me. Yeah, we still probably do all that. So I don't know that it would have been a huge impact on us. There'll be less black people here. But that'd probably be the only real result. But a lot of people have also asked like, and this was just doing the same James book. Also, there would be why isn't the Asian people pissed off and asking for reparations because they did all worked out. I guess choices, but how people have choices. But yeah, I mean, there would be the civil war may not have happened the same way it did because it was really like the North had the tactical and logistical advantage in every way over the South, but the South had free labor so they could compete.
And in some cases, they could they could win economically against the North and they shared different views on certain things. So it wasn't just about slavery versus not slavery or the expansion of it or whatever. It's what slavery constituted, which is the economic security of the South. So yeah, you could say you could you could say that the Civil War, some people do that it wasn't about. We didn't fight the Civil War to end slavery. I think that's probably true. But we did fight it. The South did become belligerent because they wanted something the North didn't and they felt they had the economic power to do it because of slavery. And that's true. So fuck off. But with the shittier class, just be white people fucking met out like what is it then? What is today? I mean, that's what are you talking about that's still. Yeah, I was going to say that exists now. No, but I mean, would it be this defined thing because you couldn't use the word racism anymore.
I mean, for real, like you couldn't use the word racism. Classes, they would have used it in some form anyways. I mean, Benjamin Franklin didn't think Germans were white. People used to think Polish people weren't white. Really? Yeah. Why? And Italians? I still don't accept the Italians. Yeah. Yeah, I'm a Freda Fob for sure. I go back to that speech with Christopher Walken and that Quentin Tarantino movie where I'm just like about the Sicilian's boy. Yeah, that's what that's an all-timer, isn't it? I mean, it just popped up my feed the other day for no reason whatsoever. And we cannot play it here because the N word is said, what you reckon 30, 40 times in that, but man, it's good. So that dates, I think, yes, might have affected the 300, 400 years of not having slaves come over. And again, Asians, we have no, there's no issues with Asians now. Nobody's asking for reparations.
Yes, so I looked this up after completing the Trans-Consonatal Railroad in 1869 and Chinese workers face systemic discrimination, economic displacement, and the violent backlash and historically, the many adapted by moving into other labor sectors establishing ethnic enclaves or returning to China. Right. But nobody bids to how to fuck and thing or, you know, it's very bizarre that time period because the dance point, they were paid. paid. So did that have something to do with it? Although the money was shit. Yeah. Well, you know, the slaves and the UAE get paid too. Oh, they do? Okay. It's like, you know, it's not chattel slavery. Like what black people want to. But I guess why is there not the same grudge held to this day? That's what I can't figure out. There's no organized effort to make people hold that grudge. That's why. So like the stop Asian hate thing. I mean, that didn't
last because, well, we found out it was just a white dude who actually loved Asians too much and ran out of money. And they're in shot up those jack, jack places. But other than that, we don't really hear about that. No, I mean, things lead to other things a lot like the Russian pogroms in the 1880s and the surroundings. So there like the Zara's Russians were super anti-Bolshevik, which everybody should be frankly. And the some of the people on the Zara side created like when you see all these like fringe, Talmud things that are like, oh, they want to kill all the Christians. Or you see like quotes even today from retarded ass rabbis. Like I promise you that I can find some
writings from whatever religion you're part of that are fucking crazy. And I can find some modern day people representing your religion that are also fucking crazy. But the protocols of the elders of Zion is one that people quote a lot. I'm sure if what's his nuts was in the chat right now, he would be talking about it. It was all fake. It's all made up. It was it's literally propaganda designed for Russian peasants in the 19th century. But there was already in throughout Europe because they're a successful enclave and keep to themselves and they don't allow admission. People have not like Jews for some time. There's always been like different types of blood libel, whatever, right? There's always something and a lot of Jews don't do themselves any favor by being annoying as shit either. But even back then and people don't like it. And you know, in the Christian church for a very long time, at least in the Catholic church, I don't know about
for Protestants, but in the Catholic church, interest was forbidden like charging somebody else's interest. And then in Judaism, charging interest to Jews is forbidden, but to other people it's not. Now, everybody charges everybody interest now just to be clear, but a userry they call it, because people need an old sounding word to make it sound like something they don't participate on every day, but you do. And they think it's all like a Jewish creation. It's all retarded, right? But the pogroms, the anti-Semitic pogroms that were a result of Zaris Russia, particularly Alexander, the second trying to hold power in Russia at the time, turned into this like broad conspiratorial anti-Jew thing, which is where all this modern anti-Jew shit comes from. And it bled its way over into around 1917 into Germany, which is Germany already had like a very
strong anti-Semitic trend. They didn't like anybody that wasn't German actually. They German are Austrian. They would tolerate those. Everybody else was kind of like, you know, you're I've said this before Europe is the most racist place on earth. There's nobody more racist than Europeans. If they were though, they would have gotten all the Muslims out by now. It's global this leadership now, the people they don't think that way. But this all transforms into some fucking crazy conspiracy theory and blah, blah, blah. And the German radical right gets, or the I'm sorry, the German right that's upset with all the social shit that's going on. It's so funny. There's so many parallels to what's going on right now. Yeah, yeah. The German right is upset with all the fucking socialist communist Bolshevik shit going on. And some thinkers start coming over from Russia into Germany and they pick up on, well, this is really successful to drive Jews out of
certain areas there. So we're going to adopt this ideology, all the conspiratorial shit, all the they call it the anti Bolshevik framework at the time. But all this like protocols of elders designed nonsense. And then in 1919 is when the anti-communist immigrants came from Russia to throughout all of Europe actually. And the German language edition of the protocols came that same year. They reprinted it because it was such effective propaganda. And then that's that's basically where the Nazis came from. But that is it to say that Hitler wouldn't have still tried to take over all of Europe. I think he thought like Germany's the fatherland, and we want to expand it everywhere. The same way that North Korea thinks that, China thinks that and fucking everybody else, right? They want the Ottoman Empire. There's a lot of people Stalin thinks that or Stalin. Putin thinks that about Russia now. A lot of people have felt this way about their home country and their authoritarian so they want to go take over the world or whatever
the fuck I mean it's what are you going to do? But one thing leads to another. Does that mean it caused it? I don't know you could say it caused it. I don't know if for example, if the Tsar has had maintained power and because it's so funny you could read Churchill. Churchill actually wrote about this. He wrote about the different he there are three types of Jews he says. Right? It's very interesting. He wrote this in an article in some UK newspaper. The article if you want to look at it, I was called Zionism versus Bolshevism. A struggle for the soul of the Jewish people. And he's he pointed out three types. One are Jews that are loyal to their country, whatever home country they're in UK, America, Germany, wherever. Right? Then there are Zionists who he praised for wanting to make their own country. And then were the wandering Jews, the atheists
and he named a whole list of them. They were all Bolsheviks and he blamed them for communism. But they weren't like cultural or religious practicing Jews. They were all atheists and just happened to be of this fucking enclave of hippies that wanted to take everybody's shit and stuff. And because 10% of them happened to be Jewish, which that was the peak 10% was the largest percentage of that was ever was in their their leadership. I think got maybe as high as 20 at some point, but the body politic was only 10%. The Russians picked up on this in the late 19th century. So I guess if Zars had been able to beat Bolshevism on its face instead of having to use racial prejudice or ethnic prejudice to do it, maybe we don't see the Holocaust. But I still think World War II happens. But there was an imbalance in power. The United States was a new center power.
Right. It was a center of power. We had a lot of resources, a lot of economic capabilities, a pretty good military and a lot of standoff. We were hard to attack and that had to be accounted for. And I think the rest of I think Europe, Russia and Germany especially felt the squeeze of that. Like what are we going to do now? We're all superpowers here. We're all world powers. What are we going to do now is our moment to seize this and that's Germany obviously had been humiliated in World War I and felt like they wanted revenge, which is one of the reasons. Just like today, by the way, everybody feels like white Christian men have been humiliated by the left or by communism or whatever the fucks they're willing to fight back no matter what it takes. It's like, all right, that's something but I'm not unsympathetic to that idea, but all these things, all these dominoes kind of fall into place and all of a sudden you have a rise of struggling power globally all at the same time.
Everybody's trying to do this and do that and there's only so much space and so many resources and alliances start to form and then we weren't necessarily at war with Germany. Although our leadership wanted us to be and then Japan hit us and that was because everybody saw us as a threat. We were helping the UK, we were helping France and directly maybe Russia a little bit as well. Is it true that we were kind of poking and prodding at Japan a little bit before they went and did Pearl Harbor? I don't know about. Yeah, sure. Anytime you support anyone else's enemy, you're poking and prodding right to some degree similar to what we've done to Russia the last couple of years. Sure. I mean like the Philippines, stuff like that. Yeah, I don't know if you can make the case that warrants a full scale attack. It was obviously a mistake by Japan to do that.
But that's what they felt they had to do. They wanted to control the Pacific. That's the way they saw it. They saw it from a regional hegemonies standpoint. We were going to control Asia, Germany can control Europe, but then there's America. That's a big problem for everybody. It was a problem for Germany. It turned out to be a problem for Russia eventually as well. There's definitely a problem for Japan at the time. How do you account for that? I don't think there's any the point of all of that is it's convoluted as shit and there isn't one fucking point in history that you could change that would have affected whether a war is going to happen. Wars are pressure of valve and the tension gets too high and shit has to explode sometimes. Individual things associated with the war. I don't think a Holocaust happens probably if if the Russian anti-Bolshevism propaganda doesn't make it to Germany. But maybe still it does. I don't know. I look at it as slavery. If there wasn't slavery and slaves were brought over here,
do we have a civil war? I know a lot of it was over taxes, which is overshadowed and and history books and all of the shit. But do we even have that if there wasn't slavery? I mean that's a that's a question for somebody who knows more about the civil war than I do. But my first thought is does the does the South develop some other type of technology or something that makes them an economic threat? And you can this is a debate to be had I guess for people who actually care about this. I don't care. But was it put in the comments on Patreon? Was it the North felt they were a threat or is it the South felt they the South felt they could be a threat so they could do what they wanted to and shove off this power that was trying to stop them from doing what they wanted to do? That's debatable affair. I don't care what the answer to it is because the result is the same, which is that the South decided to act and or at least to position to act and
invite a response to it. Would they have like textiles were getting textiles into back who were getting more popular as exports? So the South is like well why why is this Northern government controlling me when taxing us and taxing me when I when I'm producing all this wealth? Right why is that allowed? Why should they be in control whatever the fuck right? But it wasn't yeah I don't know that anything would have stopped that. But I just look at history and you know everything is even going on today. Democrats had the clan that obviously didn't want to abolish slavery. Then it was a hard switch when the 60s probably and then and then they needed the votes and then that changed the voting system and all that other shit, welfare, all of it and you know now there's a lot more black people speaking out of like hey why are we supposed to vote
Democrat just because you know magically switched and told us to do this and you're paying for X or whatever it is. I think that could have changed the history of our country that date. Now is there a video game for that? I don't know. I want to go back to what you said, Coup, that everybody's doing this. So I remember who it was. It was actually the guys that used to work for us. We did a lot of videos with these guys. Rooster teeth? No right before rooster teeth. That's how I had that meeting with rooster teeth was these guys I think had almost gotten bought out. They were super close again bought out by rooster teeth at the same time. We were JT music. If you go to YouTube JT music they're here from Wilmington and we shot a lot of videos with these guys. We did what was my favorite? We are all Harambe. It was one of my favorites from these guys. But that's what they do for a living is these music video wraps and all that other stuff they are developing a video game. So I follow them obviously online. We've been friends for I don't know
how many years at this point 12, 13, whatever it was. We went on there as of November it'll be 12 years. So I'm my anniversary is like a week I think that's 13. I'm trying to get that straight there you know at least before dinner comes over. But look at this. If you go down if you go on their back end page blue girl quick you can show a preview of it. I've got questions for you then on how to make this so go to JT music's YouTube page. They've got 5.15 million subscribers. And they gave me the advice back in the day by the way of like hey you can't swear you can't say anything you can't do anything or whatever and that's how you build an audience for YouTube at least. And the odd thing is they were like did we have like 10,000 followers on Instagram? Dead serious. And they have five over five million subscribers. That's insane. And this is all they do by the way. Like they are they do very very well off of their channel. All right so go to their
music page there go down those shorts. It says JT music is making a video game. There you go. Press play on this. The rumors are true we're making a video game. It's a narrative first person who are platforming game where you start off exploring an old roadside dinosaur attraction. And then you find out there's a whole lot more underneath. And also eventually you start to realize there's more dinosaurs around that aren't exactly staying extinct. There's no combat you have to rely on your wits and your ability to run, jump climb slide, wall run and more to survive. So basically super cool but this looks really good. I know. Yep pretty much. These guys have been ahead of the curve though for fucking years years right. What is it called? Terrible lizards. So my question to you, Koop is this. Oh shit that's coming out at the end of the month. Yes they were working on this for a while. And like I follow them and it just look I'm that dumb that it took me a while to remember where I saw it obviously but these are homies and I want to give a shout out. But a lot of people are talking about this right now. How are they building this
right now? Is this AI? Is this a program? How are people creating their own video games? Because Dan I'll tell you dude Kurt Schilling lost his entire fortune 300 million on making one video game and he went bankrupt. I'm assuming with this one they're probably using it looks like it's Unreal Engine 5. I would guess is the engine that they're using. But you worked you worked at one of these places. I went to one of the big ones one of my best friends in high school worked at them in LA and it was it was depressing. I mean everybody made a shit ton of money. Don't get me wrong. I'm going to make one. Are you really? Yeah. How do you do? What's the program? I have no clue but it's going to be there's where I've been talking to somebody about making a drink of bro's video game actually. And I know what I was thinking about was like do you remember that old turn based TI 85 drug dealing video game used to play in high school? I know the one you're talking I can't
remember the name of it my brother in law is making a card game based off of it right now. Drug wars is what it was called. Yeah that's sweet. So it's drug wars. It was a fucking game pull it up. Blue. Yeah it's on YouTube. I bet it is. But it was like it was text it was turn based on your fucking scientific calculator. So when you were in calculus or whatever class you were in trig. Oh you're talking about those blue calculators the big ones. I don't know what color it was. Yeah I remember these. I remember these goddamn things. Yeah the wild spread of drug wars. Look at the blue screen on there. I used to play this. I paid as soon as that game came out I paid no attention for the rest of my high school career. I didn't listen to shit. Show me on YouTube a clip from this. And college too. But when I went to computer college the first time I play I just sat on my fucking computer and played this the whole time I did shit. School's fucking pointless. You learn all that shit at home. But yeah you had like your stash, your trench coat you got
fucking how much coke heroin weed speed ludes. They say ludes on there. I fucking. Yeah that's it does say ludes. It does say ludes. You can tell then who made this game. It was somebody who was old. Well no I mean ludes were huge in the 80s. There's the prices and stuff like that and it was a whole game. I want to make a drug dealing video game. I think it's funny. The whole thing is funny. There is one that came out recently actually. Yeah called let me find it. Oh I know the one. But this one's going to be stupid like leisure shoot Larry style stupid. But how long would it take to do this like with JT music. If you don't care how long would it take like if you're making an MMR PG it takes forever because you build these giant fucking worlds. There's all the processing power and you have to have thousands of beta testers go through and find all the bugs and try to fix them. That's what I walked into. So in those two dark fucking floors. I mean they had fucking black black out things on the windows and everything else. And it was just kids dude like that kid but like 21 to 24 let's call it. Just eating fucking Cheetos ends. I mean it smelled
disgusting. It looked disgusting. Everything that you could possibly think of had it like it was just that disgusting. They'd one screen in front of them. You couldn't tell if it was lighter day outside and they would just play and they would be like they would raise their hand and then we'd be like bug and then we'd be like okay the character got stuck in the wall over here. What was that one video game where they beat you beat prostitutes to death. Grand Theft Auto. No another one that this was the whole the whole game was that just beaten prostitutes to death. Yeah you just ran around fucking shit up. I came over with a phone. Yeah they fits that easy. I would call it Pimp Hand. They've they banned it somewhere. They banned it in the US. I can't think of a game where you'd just beat up prostitutes. Man huh. No postal postal. Oh postal they it's not banned. They just came up with postal three like yeah postal postal postal two was banned in the US for a long time. Or not not in the US in the UK. Oh yeah well everything's banned in the UK. Now this was like back in the 90s and 2000s. Yeah really. The first postal game got banned also. Yeah postal
two was banned. I think postal two came out like 2006 or something and really you just ran around going postal. He's fuck shit up. There's a point to the game at all. Actually you Ross you worked with somebody who made the movie adaptation. Oof a bowl. Yes. Did a movie adaptation of postal. Oh really? Yeah. I'm sure it was terrible then. I would say that it's the products. The Raxer I've ever worked for in my life. That's probably his best movie. It's way too long like it. He should have cut it off at like 60 minutes and I think it goes 90. But it's the only. He thinks he's brilliant by the way. Does he? There's no yes. There's no like. Oh boy. He tried to tell us there was microphones hidden in trees and I was like that's not a thing man. Like I'm not where yeah. But that's really really fucking funny. So if it's this easy is this the next world then? I wouldn't say it's easy but I mean I've never heard of people doing it on their own. Once once like I guess
get a medieval thing looks dope is shit and that was independent right? Yeah once that one's been in the works for three or four years. Here's what here's what needs to happen. Somebody's gonna want to want to anthropic or open AI or somebody is gonna dedicate one of their LLM builds to this type of stuff. Unreal 5 is gonna get plugged into it and it's gonna there's gonna be stuff produced that helps you make a video game whenever you want. Yeah. You think somebody will break out like an independent film or like a a Blair Witch project. I might be one or two but that shit gets old fast. The problem with it is like if you're starting let's say you had a billion dollars and you want to start any company. No other restrictions on you you can do any idea you want. The idea you would want to do is one that nobody else can or has thought of yet and the problem that you're facing is called market saturation. If all of a sudden there's a way to make like that nobody there's no how many hit musicians are there because of the music AI
zero and there's not gonna be any because anybody can do it that's the point there's nothing special about it. So the only people that could do that and be successful with it are people that have an audience and use some tailor something custom to their audience like a Drinkerbrows video game would do well because people would play it because it's fucking stupid. You could just run around and feed jerry with hot dogs all day or something. Yeah. Or whatever right I mean maybe it's like a Drinkerbrows murder mystery where you had like it's it's clue but we're the characters and you have to figure out which one of us killed somebody or some shit like that that would be funny. I don't know but it would have to be something bespoke like that so people would actually give a shit otherwise who cares. Yeah. I've already seen it. You're right. And it is up to your fan base. You're right. There are no famous AI artists. There are no famous AI musicians. Hasn't happened and you could definitely make it happen. You could make cool enough shit. And they're trying. Hollywood is trying right now. There's Tilly Norwood and it still hasn't clicked. It's not going to
do nobody. No. And I the other part of this is like with five our buddies. I was talking about when you were in the restroom. Five point one five million subscribers like yeah dude they're going to be successful at it because they've got such a massive audience on YouTube. Did we watch Tilly Norwood speak Chinese on here? Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh yeah. I don't know what that is Tilly Norwood. Tilly Norwood's this AI actress that they've been pushing in Hollywood of like higher her. She's got an agent. She's got all this other shit. But she belongs to a company. This company created her and then they're trying to insert her into movies. And to be honest it's not the most terrible idea because right now you do these things called local hires where you just hire people that are local because you want to fly them out. Wherever it is. And they're always the worst actor in every fucking thing you've ever seen. So if you ever see a terrible actor and something like an RJ just know it was like a bartender down the street whose dream it was to be an actor and he finally got like three lines and something but yeah that's what they're trying to replace those guys with
with a Tilly Norwood essentially. Whether like hey which is have our actors act against these people. So they're trying to save 150 bucks for us for a fucking scale day actor more than that because they're looking at the turnaround time for lighting grips all that other shit where you can knock it down in half. And they're already doing it right now with lighting and all that other shit. So I don't have used this story on the on the show before but I can tell you what show it is now because it's out the agency with Michael Fassbender which people love. I mean it's ratings are through the roof and everything else. They are using AI lighting for everything and they're only working eight hour days which on a film set is impossible. The only other person I've heard that is Clint Eastwood but only because they'll only let his actors do two takes. So that's the difference of it but yeah the agency crushes. It's Richard Geer. I don't know where I don't know if they're paying the gerbil or getting an animal handler for that but uncredited. Yeah and Michael Fassbender
Jeffrey Wright is in it. I mean it's the best of the best in this fucking thing but they are using a lot of AI to cut down on hours and that's what saving them production money. I mean if it cuts down on the lighting time I'm fine with that because I worked as a sound department head and a first assistant director and the part that I was always the most frustrated with is how fucking long the DPs take for their set up. God damn it dude. I would just sit in my fucking trailer all day and wardrobe and make up and just be pissed. That was also the one department on every set that never got yelled at for going over time like they could take as long as they want. Anybody else takes a little bit too long the director flips out. Because if they walk you're fucked. Yeah and that's why I always had to put up with it or I was just like fucking guys. Put I digress. It's a fun world that we're getting into and I like these debates and I think if you come up with video games that are more in this fashion like we were talking about at the top of the show. Yeah you could be successful really fucking quickly. I just wonder before we get out of here is could you do
500 retards versus a fucking you know incredible Hulk or something like that like the video game. Yeah. There's nothing. There's nothing stopping you. Yeah it's called totally accurate battle simulator. Are you kidding? Yep they got it down syndrome or something. You can do anything versus anything. Yeah. Are you kidding? Yeah that game rocks actually. So they don't stop you at all. Yeah well we'll pull up a clip up before you. I mean you can't really mind. I'm fucking blown. They've done like 50 Apache helicopters versus some bullshit like a million man army or something. I don't remember they've been so many crazy. Is this a YouTube channel or an actual video? It's an actual video game but I've seen like show me a close up of the retards. 50 Jedi versus 10,000 chocolate Ls and stuff. Really? Yeah people on YouTube will make videos with the game and could do something crazy with it. Okay. Yeah now this could stand a lot of updates obviously. Yeah yeah yeah. The problem is like a game engine usually have a finite amount of shapes and characters and this is anything at any time so it uses what's effectively 64 bit. They're like flat
models. You know what's weird though is kids are playing it now. Are your kids playing it? My kids are playing those four bit bullshit things. Yeah and I think that's where it started where they're like hey dude the advance shit is cool but then they always go back to that four bit shit. It's weird. I mean I've had a passion for video games ever since I was a kid that still continues to the stakes like I said that's what I was doing before I got into podcasting and one thing that I've always believed is the graphics have very very little effect on a game. If you need really good graphics to sell a game then you're not making a very good game. You're making an experience which is okay but if it requires really really impressive visuals the gameplay itself probably isn't that great. You can have visuals as like an extra layer to improve the gameplay but if you're really relying on those visuals then you can go fuck yourself. Big companies tend to use graphics as a crutch and whereas smaller companies will you do less fidelity but the mechanics will be
really well tuned in and much better. Here was my example is college 2026 it come out. I wanted to use Jeremiah Smith because he was the highest rated player in the game and I was like I can finally beat you guys. I'm just going to throw to Jeremiah Smith the whole fucking game right and we played it for a little bit and it was cool. It was expensive as shit right and then after about three weeks it died and my eight year old was just playing tech mobile like all those little four bit games again with his same teams and shit it was like an advanced version of that with the same movements they're all block characters like Minecraft and all that other shit and I'm like oh this is fucking four dollars versus 60 like what the fuck bro. If you go through and you look at the like the top selling titles on steam and things like that the games that actually make the most money if you're looking at the initial cost versus the amount of money made the indie games are leaps and bounce ahead of triple eight titles and even when it comes to triple eight titles I probably try one
out when it when it first comes out but I'll get for maybe a week the indie titles are the ones that I'll spend years and years playing. That's so wild man. I wouldn't say that. I wouldn't say that. Indie titles make more than the triple eight titles. What I'm talking about. No, no, no, no, no. Financial investment compared to. Oh, okay. The RLI. Yeah, that's interesting. Yeah, I guess when GTA drops it's going to make two billion dollars opening day. I mean that's higher than any fucking movie you could ever make in Hollywood. Yeah. That's not true. Yeah. Why what are you talking about? Because you're measuring it in a wrong way. If it was if you could charge full price out to stream on day one Avengers the new Avengers movie would do that. That movie is going to make probably two billion I think. No, I think I think it will for sure but it but you can't be I mean you can't compare it because it's a different distribution model. I think it's going to make the problem is it'll that'll cut off at some point and I don't know what the tiered upsells are going to be. That's probably the same as GTA five. It's it's I don't know
that's where they make all our money. I didn't what how do they do that in GTA five? I never really got it in GTA five. They sell I mean I never I've never bought microchans actions or anything but they sell shark cards which is like a you can buy like a $60 card and then like you can get stuff it's for GTA online that's where all the money comes from. And so this game is going to be like 70 bucks right and then they're probably going to come out with an online version and then they're going to make bank from the online version and that's really where they're going to cash in. Yeah something they did with GTA five. They're just going to support the online version for the next 10 years. Yeah and I'm and most of these games are are the physical copies gone right. Didn't Sony eliminate that shit. Yeah they're having a big battle over whether or not they're going to release a physical copy of these. People are very very pissed.
