OpenAI has decided not to release an upcoming AI model called GFT 6.1 Astra after the company determined it did not meet the company's safety standards. The announcement which came ahead of OpenAI's annual developer conference comes as the industry faces intensifying concerns around the safety of advanced models. OpenAI is saying in a statement that it has, quote, an extremely high bar in terms of safety and alignment. Meta continues to roll out new AI products the company today announcing news for small business which connects with AI agent to popular software products like Zoom and Slack. The agent can also link to Meta ad accounts and professional Instagram and Facebook profiles. The news follows the company's announcement yesterday that it will launch a new enterprise platform. The stock is up 25% this month on the momentum around its AI products.
Ora announcing its delaying plans for its IPO on the NASDAQ due to uncertainty in the market. The smart ring maker says its delaying going public despite post-strong demand. The company formally launches IPO plans just last week saying at the time it plans to raise up to $2.2 billion.
