I'm Mackenzie Scalos and this is your CNBC Tech Check Free Fish. Apple launched the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max today. The company's new CEO John Turner appeared at the 5th Avenue store for the first day of sales. But the flagship device of the cycle, the iPhone Duo, which is the company's first ever foldable phone, won't hit shelves until next month. Analysts are also expecting a round of lower price devices to be announced in the spring. Meanwhile, California Governor Gavin Newsom has issued an executive order aimed at addressing the potential risks of AI. The order calls for a team of experts to create recommendations for the state to enhance its AI state laws and comes on the heels of multiple high profile warnings in recent weeks. Frontier labs and theropic, open AI and Google are all based in the state. And finally, in video as CEO Jensen Wong said that his company expects to double the number of chips it sells next year. They come shortly after the company revealed that it expected 70% growth in the fiscal

year ending in January 2028 or got $673 billion. Shares of Infinity are up nearly 4% this week. That's all for today. Have a great weekend and we'll see you right back here next week.
