For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist. 2 John 7

I.  The Deceiver & the Antichrist

• There are wicked people, satanic antichrist deceivers, who are on a mission to destroy the church and the faith of believers—eternal consequences, mess with God’s people

II. These are doctrines of first importance, gospel importance

• Incarnation of Christ, He became truly Man, to suffer, bleed, and die, to propitiate—to satisfy the wrath of God on behalf of His believing ones.
• It is far too easy in our day for people to be deceived, even God’s people can often suffer from being too disconnected and detached from Scripture

III. Is anyone warning us? Are pastors warning against dangerous, diverse threats?

• What is the biblical purpose of preaching? Titus 1:9–11, etc.
• You cannot preach Christ without preaching against Antichrist
