About this episode
“Transpening live from the Assalam students, Duke of the Biles of Southwest Texas, it's the Joe Ruhe Show. The show where we talk about anything and everything. We're nothing is sacred, nothing is watered down and nothing is PC.”From the transcript
Wayne is deep into harvest season, and this week that means honey, hunting, homegrown food—and a whole lot of beets.
On this edition of Wednesdays with Wayne, Joe and the Practical Prepper talk farming, wild game, food preservation, growing beets and making beet powder, inexpensive raised garden beds, self-reliance, power outages and practical household preparedness.
Through it all, Wayne comes back to one simple principle: “If you're not aware, you can't prepare.” It's another down-to-earth conversation about growing what you can, learning useful skills and thinking ahead without living in fear.

Transpening live from the Assalam students, Duke of the Biles of Southwest Texas, it's the Joe Ruhe Show. The show where we talk about anything and everything. We're nothing is sacred, nothing is watered down and nothing is PC. Alrighty, well, hey folks, this is Joe Ruhe and it is great to be with you once again, transmitting live as always from the Assalam and of course doing the very best weekend to bring you the best quality talk radio we could muster without all the bluster. Welcome to Wednesdays with Wayne on the Joe Ruhe Show and when I say we, I'm talking about my partner in crime here of course, Wayne, practical prepper, Rankin, Wayne, brother, how you doing, bro? Really good, Joe. This is a busy time of the year in the farm, things are moving of all types of different categories.
I got beef production, we got honey extraction tomorrow. We've taken them as you before in the show, have seen Miss Rosanna describe what the show is about really great, whatever video I now one, she's a pro and now she's have to process up tomorrow, she will be taking those frames that she showed you and extracting the honey out of a extractor. It looks like a small still almost, you know, staying the steels, got legs, you put in it, the frames they call them, you spin them like centrifugal force strips of honey out. Where it is, Joe, almost 40 pounds of honey, really 40 pounds, it just does the three little hive thing box that she's got. So boom, we got the honey going, I did put up and putting up some beads here at the next few days, shoot, came in potatoes, I don't know how many potatoes I'm going to have. So the taters are knetter this week or next week, a lot of stuff on the farm going, we put all the wood, 10 cords of wood, that will last till, yeah, the second coming.
And so a lot of wood there, a lot of stuff happening in the forest, we've seen the video with Rosanna up in the forest, things are moving out there, a lot of trees being harvested, land is being purposely done for the betterment of the earth, picking old, the professional honey, anybody wants to argue about cutting trees, when a tree falls and it shatters into like, you know, what you would guys would call almost that rotted wood, where it's like real wet, you know, you see a log and you can put your foot, a lot of those out there, they're gone, firewood, firewood at best. So they're cleared out, the canopy is opening, sun's coming in, we're seeing more deer. That's awesome. And word, word on the street, Joe, as you know, in your old street corners, word on the warehouses, word is, we've seen some elk prints, dude. That's awesome. Yeah, there's elk that are up into hills and a valley, they start catching wind of like that, we could have started planting some, some we call, I guess you call it deer clover, whatever clover, it's elk deer, etc., all the other animals, rabbits and we're seeing, I've
seen owls, I've seen the word on the street also, a cougar in the area, not me, but the word is a cougar coming in. You had mentioned that last week, I was going to actually to ask you about that and see if there's any updates on that, because you know, cougar meat wasn't really too bad, I kind of enjoyed it. I ate cat, okay. Big cat. Big cat. Yeah. And we also call it, we do it some kitty chili, kitty chili. And so a lot of stuff happening for this show, you can call it practical prayer prayer, nest or prepping and home cutting, I just call it the farm life, hobby farm, 10,000 acre farm, it's still farming. It's still the same process. You got dirt, you got plants, you got chickens, the chickens are doing good. She just hatched about 10 new ones that will replenish some of the attrition over the past year. We lost about four or five hens because they just, the fact, you know, sometimes they catch something or we have a little wet area out here. So maybe the immunities of one isn't the same as the other. And I'm firm believer that there's
off chicken flu, let it go through the flock. Yeah. Someone's going to survive it and those two survivors, well, they're going to pass it on to the next kids. What's a good, a good number to have as far as hens go. Do you need to have like four or five six or you can you just have like one or two? Okay, when you, let's say, in your community, like say, Joe gets a letter from the mayor, who, you know, city council, you can have up to three to six hens. I would go four, three to four, you know, because a, what is it does? And if you have three eggs a day, you got a dozen every week. If I'm doing my math right, is that three times seven, twenty one is almost two dozen. Yeah. And did you know the history of the serial industry? They made eggs for back in the 50s. Oh, eggs in cholesterol. That was Kellogg's was behind that and post and bell. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Eggs bad. And you got the farmer who I've known. I know someone who was 97 years old. Yep. They don't brag in the bacon and nothing, but they love their pancakes and eggs for 90 something years, you know, they're an attractor. I knew someone who was on a
tractor up to 95. And look how many healthy people look how much healthier people were from the 40s into the early 50s until they started changing things around saying, 1975, no more bake in. You got to cut your bacon down. You got to cut your eggs down. All that stuff down and then that stuff is good for you. Lap jacks and no butter, you know, in Margarine. Margarine's the way to go. Yeah. Okay. I'll I'll stuff my face full of hydrolyzed oils and whatnot. All these chemicals instead of the natural stuff, the butter. Yeah. Okay. That makes a lot of sense. Makes a lot of well, Cali, everybody's watching for you. Yeah. But anybody watching this and this is this show is going to get going. I know it's going to happen. But for anybody who's watching for you, you know, I'm going to be there. And this is when I say to anybody, I went to a naturopath. And I was dealing with my cancer stuff. He says, here's the most important thing I can say to everybody. You got to look at your plate and go, could I eat this over a hundred years ago? That's a good point. That's good. Maybe 1923. Let's go to maybe he was saying this in
2003. So 1903. Depending where you're at, could you eat this a hundred years ago? What is it? You call it a natural a natural path? A natural path. So what's it if it's good in natural path and a homeopath? I don't know that one. I know the natural path they stay away from pharmaceuticals. I know that. Okay. Probably same as the homeopath homeopath. Homeopathical and natural path. Natural path. Like I said, they'll they have certain compounds they call these things. Like I said, something root. Like if you get a blister, they have maybe I'm not saying what it is. It could be something root to mix with this and rub this as oil. Put the what they call those sensitive oil things. What do you call those oils of fancy ladies wear and put that all together and put it on your on your sword your foot. That's kind of a natural path homeopath. So you can look it up. But I look at that go, can we eat this a hundred years ago? That's what we're working to get to on the farm here. Okay. We're literally working to get this here on our farm. Well, the reason why I asked about that was because coming up, I think it's two
weeks from now, I'm going to have a guest on the show who is a homeopath. Red, licensed homeopath. And I was just curious. I got to know the difference. Yeah. Well, for my lunch today, I had some deer tenderloins. When I get our deer, the thing that the lace tenderloins are inside of there, it's tradition for me to cut those out and have them on a couple of days. So they've been in, you know, I had them in there kind of, not for minting, whatever. This in there with some stuff and season. So I cooked them yesterday. Sure. So I had carry now. Okay. So I'll get the word in a few minutes. So I had that with my beats. Okay. Killed it. And I grew it. So that was there. And I had a piece of salmon that my buddy brought over that he caught in the ocean. Is this the deer that you had? Is that the one that that Roseanne was having a couple of years ago? Yeah. She's not a blacktail deer either because they're more wild. And they say, gamey because they're up in the mountains eating. They have to forge big time for their and at the same time keep their head on a swivel from everything
he's trying to kill up the white tail and Michigan. They don't have really a lot of thread at all. Maybe a group of coyotes might get a fawn, but they're pretty fast. They're the fastest things back in Michigan that you can chase him down best to you, but they have very in corn out in the fields. So I, hey, they're fat. And I got this. You know what the big thing is right now, tell. I've even here in this. I use beef. I use beef. Teller for just almost everything. Well, dear towel, the natives, the American Indians. I call it I call them native Indians and then there's Indians from. I just saw you's the word you. The native Indians, which I'm part of a tribe go, hey, man, we'd be doing this for 2000 years here. Other than bringing all these diseases and we would have been living longer, you know. And the alcohol, but the thing is a wild game, tallow. You can't beat that one. So I'm going to get I got a football size of it right now, which I'm making hand cream, big to them. Everybody wants a hand cream and I got the essential oils. That's what it is.
And so, like I said, once again, I'll be scraping the deer right from Michigan and word, word on the street. Also, hoping things are looking good to get it out by by the end of the month. Our elk resources going, yeah, they're going to be coming in next week. We're going to be bugling. Rosanna is going to be out there in the woods. Now, now they're put to the uninitiated. What do you mean bugling? What is that? I can go get my bugle. My elbow bugle. If you want me to, I'll bring it on down a little rip, man. I'll go for it. Wayne will be right back. Yes, I will absolutely keep them busy. So while Wayne is going to pick up his elk bugle, let me tell you about a product that I've been using a lot lately. This is this is called masterpiece. This stuff is amazing. This is this is an all natural. It's just two ingredients. It's zeolite and it's sea plasma. This stuff is amazing. You you talk about a total body detox. This stuff pushes out all those chemicals, all the toxins. The spike proteins that you got from the MRNA shots, all of that stuff doesn't stand a chance against masterpiece.
This stuff is really it's great stuff. Look at my banner here so I can put it up for you. See it. I guess that's it. Well, with masterpiece, just go to masterpiece.health slash ruse. That's masterpiece.health slash ruse. And take a look at this. You make a purchase. You get 10% off using promo code ruse, which will already be applied to the order. You have nothing to add onto it. Just add it on there. And this stuff is absolutely amazing. I've been using it now for this is a three. I'll going on three months now. And you want to talk about benefits. This is the stuff right here masterpiece.health slash ruse. That's masterpiece.health slash ruse. And we'll talk a little more about it in detail later on. Now that Wayne is back with his his elk trumpet. Wayne, welcome back, buddy. And in the September middle to the end, the they start going to direct the females going to estrange. So the elks are you know, staking their grind. Don't blow it directly into the microphone. No, no, I'm going now you will need to I'm going to go over here. You can see me do it. Let's point it out on the screen so we can see that.
Let me let me highlight you here. So whoops, wrong one. I tried. There's the there we go. There's a mouthpiece in there. It's a read. It's like a like a read from an instrument. And there's the bell. That was the sound comes out of. I can get it going here. Really. Wow. I got to actually make that sound. Look it up sometime when they're when they were in a rut though. Yeah, they start bugling because they're starting to collect their hair. The bulls are. So those bulls are going to be going, okay, I'm letting you know, I'm and then he's that's where they start battling and you can tell the big guys. I was going to get six point bulls and there's things are and here comes a little spike guy. He gets his butt kicked. Don't have it. But they it's it. It's kind of a you know picking up a litter. The cows want to breed with a great bloodline.
I'm just saying it's a high pitch though. I expect to be a little more of a deeper base. Like a deeper. They do have a more hard, you know, a little bit more, you know, if you get closer, but yeah, they sometimes will have like a little bit more. Like a bit more of a rally type. But in general, man, it's just when you watch a video of an outlet rip and that's I got a. I just I was doing it cold. So I got to get a couple more and like I said, but there are going to be going out there. We're going to go out next week. The weather's changing and the thing is people think it's a cold or something. It's here's the thing with elk. Getting into the rut, the estrange, maybe season. It's the light. We're down to the light. These these cows start saying, hmm, it's getting dark at seven o'clock now. It's getting dark at this. You know, August comes, you know, actually June comes in the June July by August 1st. The cows are going, we don't have you know 16 hours or 14 hours or how many hours of light now we're down to like 11 or 12 now. Here where it's it's it's dark at 730 and it's light about 630.
Within another week or so or it's even closer to that. So they start to see it's the light which turns their system on and gets your system going. And so the system to breed. And so the breeding season is going to be like I say, from here to two or three weeks into October. So it's a little late right now for a lot of people. I mean, there's a lot of the guys are saying because we've still we're getting we're going to have 76 on Wednesday and 80 on Thursday. Not good for that. We still haven't had that with that. I call I do I love it that Friday night. I know high school football is on or Saturday and that crispness. Oh wow. It's now 57 degrees. It was 70s and now it's 52. You know, you get that I love that I love that fall. Christmas chill and I wish. Dude I miss the Christmas of the Christmas of the yeah, you know of the air and the apples falling and what have you. And so I don't get that they're going to get that here.
And so the main objective is between me and Mr. X my friend is they get Rosanna her first help got her first near check down. Got that one. And now she's been invited. You're trying to try to get to logistics done Joe no gochines is not in a way or Rosanna shoot a buffalo in Montana. Really. Wow. We're going to Buffalo hunt. I'm just every time we talk about this stuff whether it's on the show or whether it's just. You keep throwing stuff at me. I don't know what to say to it. I mean, I got another prep. I've seen these prepper guys out there. I'm not going to I'm not going to criticize anybody and stuff like that. But how authentic are they really? I mean, I'm going to know how you know really proper proper and there's guys. They're great. A homesteader though, then a prepper. Oh, absolutely. That's I think that's a totally yeah, you can prepare for anything. You can prep your car for the winter. Get the preparedness. You're getting your you know, you're cool and stun you're getting the breakfast breaks check. You get an oil change. You know, and so.
It's a whole different word of prepping. I'm already prepared for stuff. It's just the. I'm going to continue what's like my 12 months is based on what's going on in that part of the year, whether this this so. If I went to January 1st, well, that's still head seasons January of February. We're going to go still head fish. March. I'm going to be working on the greenhouse. The greenhouse and then April. I'll be working on the dirt. Wait. That's spring. I mean, the season are coming in April and May. And so what wait, May, middle of May, how about season starts. I mean, boom, boom, then May and then June. June 25th of it. Sam and Ocean season starts. We're all baby. You know, we're going to the summer. Okay, went to August. I'm going. Okay, August. This dam is open. This, you know, going for these guys. And now it's September. It's both season for elk and deer. Got the elk. I got the deer down September, October, November, big game hunting. And December, wait a minute. It's a start of steelhead season. December, January, February, but also the harvest and canning and stuff smoking. I'm building this one. I can't wait to put on film with the beginning.
I'm going to be building a smokehouse. Joe. This is Joe. Joe Prepper. Man, I'm using your name. I'm Joe Prepper on this. You told me about that on the phone the other day. And, you know, I'm jealous because, you know, no, you're going to be the recipient of many, many. Package. Well, I appreciate that. But I'm still. No, I'm going to get it. I'm going to get him stuff that he wants. He's going to get it. He's going to like it. So there. I want to. So, you know, it's exactly. So, but the thing is that you're going to love this, Joe, though would I'll be building from came from our trees are our, our soil, a soil is a guy who has a sawmill. He cuts the logs and it's this. He takes it to the tree to lumber. Okay. Well, let's make it quick like everybody to common interest. So, yeah, take those bars. I cut from your trees. Cedar, western red cedar. Then I looked it up and I, you know, if people watch and look stuff up, I love looking up.
If that's as Google, I can get an addiction or wherever. But look it up. If you're going to build, I said, is. Is western red cedar good for a smokehouse? Absolutely. Yes. For this part of the country. It's one of the best woods for soaking up water and resilient for water. You can put all the woods in the world enough and let's say you stuck them all into water. That thing would still be looking better longer than the rest of them. I'm going to harp on the sauna thing because I really want one. But is that, is that type of wood you would use for a sauna? Absolutely. So I'm going to be getting the sun. I'm would mailing it down. I'm going to be driving. When I come down, we're going to build a sauna too. I'm going to come in my truck, not sooner than later because my nose arc thing. I'm going to be bringing up here really soon. It'll be sooner later. We're going to have all my tools. We'll put that puppy up. They charge. They're big right now. You get these little zippy ones. You can zip and sit in. Oh no. Oh no contraire. Joe's getting a hand handcrafted built one. I just build it. I've built it like what they call in in my drawers.
We're just going to haul it off and put it together. It's already framed and everything ready to go. Nice. I got a perfect spot for it too. Yep. You can go with the and we got to get the Himalayan salt put in there. You heard about that. Yeah. Yeah. Get me the salt and we'll get the red light therapy. Nice. I like this. So the elements different. You have to buy the element before I did. I know she's she's good at that. We have the element. And so probably buy it down there cheaper than everything up here. Taxes are going crazy. I actually use I actually have not a lot. I have some Himalayan rock salt that I use. Okay. There's certain things. And so I know I'm well aware of it. It's good stuff. Very good stuff. So you know what? It's kind of like a. It's not people people you're not boring. You and your wife. We're not boring. And she's got a cake business. She has a she's got a wedding coming up. And she's been offered to this is the cool things of them. I'm always wait for these. And she her her stipulations is like I said she's been to Texas. She learned to cook down in North of Dallas with the world renowned aims Academy where they took students from there and put them on with you love this. She was a understudy.
And he was hammered through half of the shows that he did. He was. He was. So yeah, indeed, right. They had public TV. We got to watch. I like to watch him. I was watching something. But no, I'm talking. We're really exploded. You know, an internet, etc. I mean, I know, but she's too chef or Emerald and other guys that she would sue chef for certain celebrity chefs for celebrity cookoffs. She cut her teeth pretty good. Okay. And so she came back and got her own she got her French five star French French pastry license. Did she ever do the iron chef. No, she said she wasn't doing any of that stuff. Okay, she said it's just it's it's it's she goes I cook everything they can do I can do everything you can do if there's something. But I go she says I just don't like to cook that way. It's to me. It's a passion. They're they could say all the best chef here. I'm going to be taking it's not passionate. You're doing it for your own fame and glory or whatever and look what I can do. Look what I can do. It's kind of if you really love it. You're going to take your time. Come on, Joe. How much of take your sauce?
Oh, it takes hours hours. So there you know what? Forget about it. When I do when I when I make my sauce my sauce cooks my I start my sauce. Seven eight o'clock in the morning. Mm hmm. And I just let it slow cook and simmer throughout the whole day and probably dinners. On a Sunday. It's like four o'clock. Right. So like on Thursday once a month and assist Thursday. Our church, Calvertchapel, Limpio Washington. We go out to the we're right by the Fort Lewis McCord military base. Army is Lewis McCord is Air Force. But they have us. I don't know how program there are not wounded wounded like they they're in hospital beds, but they're in transition from an age used to be the warrior transition of Italian. Okay. But they change it like that. And I don't want to let her stand for all I know is on Sunday. When we look at the money, have to sign up for it.
And I'm looking at it. So soup soup soup soup salad salad salad salad. So I go the army guy go. What do you want her to make? Because oh yeah. Yeah. That's the theme of it. The last one was Mexican. She's looking she goes, Tater, you know, what Tater tots with this. Yeah. It's nothing. I got it. And I got it. I got she made some ago. It was gone five minutes. They were fighting for it practically. Whatever it was. It was. It was a. Like a. That was like an extra. A. Yeah, pasta Mexican kicker butt kick the taste buds type of butt. Yeah. That's great again. So we said chilly. So I've got the meat though. And now today, I'm up. Cause I. I can say the best chilly. The rest ribs.
What is the best? The friends and family love it. Not much. I know Texas they don't. That's not a big thing. I don't know that put a lot of beans. I really put very little because I do like other stuff. I slice some mushrooms in there a little bit of carrots. You know, and that's the carrots puts that sweet flavor to it and mushrooms cut, you know, and if you don't like mushrooms, you can still eat it. So I will put a nice thick and I and I put a little bit of a couple wine. So nice, but to kill in there. I'm not going to do it because it's alcohol and it's a military. I'm not going to touch even it don't burns up when it burns a meat. It cooks with the meat, but I'll be doing the chili the day before that. Chili is the best the day after. So I'll take it to the church. So I'm using my skills to like I said, she's cooked for world class chef. She's she's cooked for Van Halen and rock groups down into the place called the North of Dallas. The mansion on Turtle Creek people in Texas. Oh, they probably have heard it. Okay, it's North of Dallas. She cooked for the Jerry Jones and the Cowboys. She let a team in there and cook for them for several several meetings and catering. So she's she's got the number. She's she can bust her jobs with anybody.
And so she said, you do chili. You're up there. But I the guy who signed up like I said, soup soup soup salad salad. I got the heart of the people doing I said, man, I'm going to bring I'm going to rock in my chili for these guys here. You know, I went one time I took collard greens collard greens and vines and chili. I didn't tell anybody it was vines and I told those the collard greens are going in 38 seconds. Really, I'm not a fan of collard greens. The guys from the South. A lot of soldiers in the army, you know, from the South, they can't win to that. The guys from South of the border, you know, South of the Dixon Mason Dixon line, whatever it is. Mason. They're wild. Yeah, I saw my parents from North Carolina learned how to do it. And they go, do you did, dude, you did man, man, he's forever. That's good. And so like these beat leaves, I'm going to be showing here. I'm going to I mean, you cook his beat leaves tomorrow with my Colour B Colour. I can't say the word color Colour B. It's a cabbage with these big huge leaves. I'm going to beat it's going to be just like you do spinach or kale and it's going to be great. I'm going to cook that tomorrow with my when my beat leaves.
And some of the beat leaves I'm going to freeze dry and make it to a mulch for you also nice beats and beat leaves the greens great and a great and any type of smoothie whatever smoothie you want to go. And if you want to go more citrus and just put the flakes it or that way if you want to go like maybe a grape juice or a dark drink, you know, or berries and stuff like that, you can go that way too. So I definitely it's got. It's life on a farm. So what I like to talk about is all the things I do and we do. And she did a little bit of this. She actually has a background in the LDS church goes, yes, we prep. Yes, we do. Actually, yeah. Yeah, she didn't she didn't conform with that. But the other part. Yeah, she did that and so long story short. I said, no, I'm just I'm just. Now country boy can survive Hank Williams Jr. Man, I live back in a wood you see this mean the kids have dog and me, you know, woman of kids dog and me.
I got a shotgun riff on the 45 country boy can survive. So yeah, that's my mentality. I'm just glad you let's sing it. No, I appreciate it. I'm not going to ruin anything with that. I'm not going to ruin the song either. So, I'm just going to say, the part of this, the part of the she's brought, I brought her on board. Her culinary skills is helped with her freeze drying. Okay, I'm going to. So I have a big load of zucchini and yellow squash. There's like everybody's waiting in line now for processing. So I got a box of zucchini and yellow squash out there. They're going to get cut. They're going to when you want to do freeze dryer, this will decide it may be flash freeze and put them in the bags. The beats are first and then the leaves and then the zucchini squash and like I said, there's many ways of doing different things. But the preparedness part has nothing to do with awareness. And an awareness is, I don't want to say there's a guy need Noah. He's going to build a ship because there's flood coming. There's a storm coming.
And everybody thought he was a wacky dude. A wacky dude, you know. And I'm in that category and people look at me and go, you know, and this is the one thing I will take offense. I don't, nothing offends me. But if you search challenging my fate of because you're lack of not just knowledge. I don't know what they, whatever, piousness. Be pious. You know, brother, you must not have much face in the Lord, prepping all this food and getting food stored up. I guess that counts me in Prince Joseph and the father of Jesus, Joseph, call for list. Good thing Joseph stored that food for green for seven years. Yeah. Like the Lord asked him to seven years of green. Joseph. I guess he was a wacky dude also in Joseph, the father of Jesus. You got to have the Egypt. Well, he knew he had the provisions. Here he had the gold. What was the gold for an on Christmas day for?
It's the travel. He didn't have any money. Gold speaks volumes, even it does today. That's right. Gold speaks volumes. And that's why when we got off the gold standard in 1972, three nicks and this nicks is a system disaster for every reason. But taking this off the gold standard, putting it on the dollar. As you know, it was made for for middle class, never to reach that next level. Yeah. Literally. Okay. The gold cougar on for five dollars back then, another $5,000. And so Joseph knew he had to travel. He knew he had to get stuff ready. Mary, but Frank is since and Murr for different things, you know. Cold. Frank and since and Murr. The Murr was for his burial. Frank and since, you know, Frank and since the Murr date she knew that says and he will be it will be like a sword in her side. The coming Messiah, the suffering Messiah was her son. Is she knew it? And she knew the prophecies too. Her uncle Zacharias was a high priest. He went into the temple that year. The boys were going to be born. The boys.
John about just in Jesus. She had some lineage there. And my Jewish friend, my Jewish friends, my Jewish family would not would tell you. Traditions not to tradition. They would they would be people who could not read. They would be read too. And this is what the prophecy say. This is what history says. And so Mary understood this when they said you will. He will it would be like a sword in your side, which means he's going to be sacrificed. So here's a but the gold part was they had a donkey to get out of town. Joseph had to buy some provisions, which is preparedness the same thing provisions. And make a long journey. So as someone said, they they they tried to put me in the spot of just my no faith. What is faith? You know, pastor said on Sunday. I'm a man of faith or I'm a woman of faith. He was what's your faith in? They really came down to themselves. My faith in myself. I have no faith in me, brother. Trust me. I got flesh. I got weaknesses. I could stomach. I agree.
You know, you don't want to send me to Vegas to a cheerleading convention. It'd be temptation. No, I'm serious. I know your role of just. It's going to be the college. I know cheerleading convention in all our new office. You know, come on, man. Billy Graham said he goes. When you look at a woman. The first one is free. The second one. That's when you get in trouble. You know what? There's a lot of truth in that, but there's a lot of truth. The first one is free to second one. You get in trouble. When you look into the tail side. You know, it's so. You know, you don't have no faith. And I just watch a video of it. And all it was was. My circumstances is. I want to have a better diet for myself because I have such autoimmune problems for my cancer, etc. Number two, finance. What is the most we spend on money? I mean, I got the mortgage of this. And a little bit of the electrical and the, you know, things like that.
You know, our power bills and stuff. Why do we spend on food? How do we spend it on food? And what kind of food do we eat? And ask any Costco shopper with $400 in their, their buggy. You know what they bought? $400 in a buggy. My dad, I'm from, from a family of 10 kids born in the 60s. My dad would come in. I'll be, is on a South. I'll be damned. It was $36. Would you go get those toll bags? I'm serious. If it got the $40, you, you had at least 10 grocery bags that were in the back of the big Ford 1970 Ford. It was like, remember, for Torino with the back that came open, the window went down and had these fancy lights. And on the four turn and there was no seat belts for anybody back there. We had those little seats that looked like that each other. And they popped up. So you were looking at each other. Oh, we're in. I think we, we call that style of seating.
But it's a. Rumble seats. I think Rumble seats. Okay. I guess they kind of like a Rumble seat, but they went the other way. They didn't go forward. You looked at each other sitting like this. So as you're getting rear ended by a semi truck. The kids. No seat belts back there. Nobody wore seat belts back then. Mom's arm. You know, or moms are more dads with the. Oh, I can't, I can't even do that. I can't. Yeah, I know. So I'm going, but think about it. Go, go, go on the car. You guys almost $40. $10 bags. At least. I know. I don't know. And now we go on through it. We've gone through that. So. Now 40, 40 bucks doesn't even get you a bag. So when you reach, let's say, 40. And I was reading the thing on 40. What do you, what do you have done or haven't done? If you haven't made it, you still live in mom's house. It's over. And you know it. You know, you're still living. You know, you're still living. You know, you're still living. I mean, if you really can't produce anything by 40 and you're still just. Stumbling and rumbling and whatever. And you know, you when you wake up in the morning, ask what moms for breakfast in your 40.
And you're still living there. Okay. Different, different picture here. Here you're like what? I will tell people what do you like to do? What it would. What do you enjoy? What do you go to? What would you like to try? And do you have any hobbies? And I've talked to people who don't know about dirt. And how to maybe mix dirt. I don't know how to start a pot. I'll come over and see. I show you how to get the dirt going off. I watch you can, you know, short 25 bucks gets things started just to get you started. Put on your put on your shelf and your kitchen or, you know, we've got to be have a sunroom and put some stuff out there. Some pots and you just want to do flowers. It's great. If you want to maybe maybe put a pepper out there. Couple of peppers. You know, you know, pick. You know, add some peppers to your. You're your dinner sometime. But it's what do you like to do myself? I love the outdoors. Even though I grew up in one of the bigger cities in America, like you, New York Detroit. So I've just always been kind of a nature boy anyhow.
I think I was a nature boy before Rick Flair was. But that's a different story. Woo. That probably that probably flew over so many. How. I know. I know. It's okay. Look at that. Very very, very flat. And so. Getting back to where people are going. What are you doing, instead of swork because I love it. I love the outdoors. I live in a mountain of. You know, we just shot a deer off the property, up in the woods up here. So we said you lives to live outdoor. While, yeah, it came out and she's got a picture of it. I put a target out there. 50 yards. The deer was right under the target. Nice. It's unique. for it lots of life. So she leveled it up, dropped it. I mean, when I was gutting it, if you'll dress me, did they call it? And we keep the heart and liver, because I love that stuff. I pulled off the liver and went, woohoo, see here, you shut right through that. He was done. Oh, yeah. Through the lung and the liver. No, we're not gonna last you long either, okay?
Of course not, no. You know, I'm just saying, but I said, he would fit the art, not even 50. So a true, cool humane shot that took him out. And we said, thank you Lord, and we thank the Lord for it and thank the deer for it. Because I have respect, I have respect for animals. I do. I put my hand on, you know, put her hand on, thank you Lord for this. And thank you for sacrificing your life. Better than a deer, a bear gets it, I'm sorry, or a car. You know, because there's like I said, and he's a young buck, which is fine, because he's not gonna reproduce anyhow with the older female. They just don't deal. Let Mr. 3 and 4, 5, 6 point kill that. That's his business right there. That's what his job is to do. Keep that blunt mind. And so, yeah, it worked out. But was in a conversation of, why do you do this, why do you do that? Is, well, Noah was a man of the Bible. And Joseph too, Joseph, they listened to Joseph. He was a second or third in all power of the world. Because Egypt was a premier power at the time. Nobody took them on.
And he was the number two man in Egypt. If I remember reading the scriptures right, that's a lot of stuff to deal with. So he was in charge of getting the provisions for seven years of grain, and probably some other things too, gets those things stuck out. And so nobody questioned him. Yeah, nobody questioned him, but they questioned Wayne all the time. And so, and I go, look, what I heard just today was bad enough. The guy was saying that the diesel fuel in this country out here is almost $7 in Washington. Yeah. Okay, now in the other countries, things are getting crazy. And the news report, I'm not gonna use the guy's name, it doesn't matter that this country, they're shutting this down. Truckers are blocking things because they're not gonna run their trucks. They can't even afford the fuel to get the whatever supplies to the other side of this country. These are other countries in Sweden or Norway and this and Finland and here, truckers are striking. People are freaking out because they can't even
get their tractors running. It's, it's a way out the fuel. There's no reason it shouldn't be, it should be three bucks, it should be everything should be three bucks. Diesel three, 250 for gas. I don't think I ever gonna see that price again. I know they're probably gonna, you know, $4 is gonna be your average from now because they're gas lit everybody. And so, Oh, it's $3.99, $3.99. You know, and so, 39 and 9 and 9, 10% that's your good price. But what is doing, Joe, it's now putting stress on our supply routes. Of course. If they're having empty shows, Mr. Roo's, you get a panic people. People panic, very easy. When does a panic? I will not panic. Well, just as a case, just as an example of that, look what happened during COVID. Right? Everybody went nuts grabbing every piece of paper towel, toilet paper, whatever they could.
Off the shelves, stockpiling these things up, people panic, then that's the thing. I read something some time ago, or I heard it somewhere talking, where they were talking about, how quickly society would collapse if certain things were taken away. And I think once food became scarce, you know, like society would collapse within three days. Right. That's scary. Electricity, electricity, it was shut off for three months. Then they started going, how many percentage of people are going to die? Right. Thenilators, oxygen machines. I mean, eventually the hospitals are going to go, we're running out of our backup generator fuel. How much back, I've talked about the grid grid. If someone catastrophically destroyed the big, because we have one down the road here, we see all of the insulators and a huge big, wildfire fence and everything. And all those massive towers,
you know, the towers are coming up and then the wire's going forever. These things are hundreds of feet tall. These towers, well, that's covering, who knows how many hundreds of thousands of people? Okay. So you knock something out or whatever the grid goes down with, it is old. And a lot of people, you know what we've seen? Come on a show. Dennis Quaid. Oh yeah. He did a podcast. He's going, he's trying to like Wayne here, awareness, awareness is fantastic. It's not threatening. It shouldn't be red, green, purple side of the aisle, red, blue. It shouldn't be left, right. It shouldn't be all those things, awareness guys. Our natural grid service is 60, 70 years old. Now, there's not too many cars. My car is 60 years old. 66 must think is not 60. I can't drive it like a rear car all the time. It's going to the show. I'll go to the park with, you know, let's take it out for a spin. We're going to go to the car show with it. We're going to, that's not a car use all the time.
I mean, the frame itself, I'm the same. But those grids come down. They said, death, not, not, not like of this, like of that, they're talking in three months if we had nine weeks, 12 weeks. Not just catastrophe. The think of the murders killing, looting, destruction fires, all the righty. Let's go with that in the big major cities, okay? We already know that. So, I always, when people say, what about law enforcement? They're at their own homes. Eventually, they're going to give up too. That's true. Why should I go and protect this place? My wife's terrified. Joe, Billy Bob, you're calling in sick. The kids are terrified. There's people coming down the street. Well, he, Mr. Law enforcement, he's going to work. Of course not. Firemen are going to work. People, they're going to, there's a, there's a breaking point. You're at the breaking point of certain people's responsibilities is like, ah, screw it, they can fire me. Fire me, go ahead. I got to stay at home my wife, she's terrified. And my mom's calling up, what are you doing with the grandkids?
You know, who you standing with? You know, I'm doing nothing downtown to save somebody's building. And I'm not, I'm not trying to be coarse or hot shallow, but I'm talking about the human nature is when things unravel, man. It's, it's, it's something that, you know, the news guy said today, he said things are unraveling in certain parts of the other countries don't have it as good as us. They don't have Costco. They said what the world cup came here. Some of those countries, the guy walked in, it looked at Costco. Our whole country doesn't have this much. Yeah, right. He said at one Costco, he goes, I don't think our whole all of our, you know, town of 10,000, 15,000 people, we don't, we can't buy this much at one time. At the one Costco, he was saying how many Costco, thousands of Costco's everywhere. That's right. We have abundance of, well, so much abundance, it's a foster security. Yeah. Because you see people running back to the store when there's a storm coming or hurricane or blizzard,
shelves are being raided. There's nothing left out here. It's like a free throw. Yeah. Yeah. So I'm, I'm, I'm telling folks, you know what? The guy like me and that running joke is like I said, people ask me all these different scenarios. There's only so many scenarios. Like I said, well, way and what do people keep, I live in the mountains. It's very dark back here. I mean, hand over the face. It is. I remember. It's dark. You've been here. There's no street lights. Okay. And if I don't have power, you know, which, I'm kind of like how I could actually figure it out, Joe, without power, I could last three to four months without power, without the world's power. Because I've set up certain things and certain provisions have nothing to do with me, being some no faith of God or this, or this, or this. I have enough power to get all the stuff out of my freezers and freeze right to three months. Okay. Then I wouldn't need my freezers ever again.
I just like to, a cold frozen steak, thought out, hit on the barbecue. But actually I can take steaks and partially cook them and freeze dry them with no refrigeration. And I can do that. But I like my fish. Fish is not good freeze dry, but until then I said the, my assistant there. We better run these freeze dryers, you know, and do what we can. Because like I said, my freezers will run, I have enough provisions. I'm just gonna go with that and I'm not gonna tell you what it is. It's my personal preference. My provisions are, yeah, we keep the motors running for three months at least. Everybody else at the end of their three months. But the thing is kind of like this, well, what about marauders come up here? I still have the hype on it. What if, you know what, what happens when the government goes south on us and they don't like the piss on the vinegar that I have and then you have a helicopter and shoot it at IUD at my home? I go guys, I can't live that way. And I won't live that way. I'm gonna live that, you know? I'm back in the woods. I'm a fish. What do you call it?
There's bigger fish that's fried than me. Okay. Yeah, I got it. Yeah, you know what? And let them teach other apart in the city, you know? But you know what, Joe? Did I tell everybody I've shot hundreds of wild game that are size bigger than human beings? And you know what, humans are a lot easier to hunt than animals are. They really are. They're pretty stupid. We're not condoning this. We're not suggesting this in any shape, way shape, or form. So, you know, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I put it word to the wise. Unless you're some, you know, multiple SWAT ATMF team with 30 guys coming in, it would be wise to come up to my place. Yeah. If you're coming with vengeance, if you're coming whatever, because I mean, they may get me, but I'm getting a lot of those guys. The road war, the road war, your scenario. Absolutely. Road war, you know, what gas? I don't need any. And so, I think we live in these Hollywood movie scenarios, but I've been telling folks at church in different places. Look, the guys and these other states, or other countries are starting to feel the effect
of this bogus fake war, without fake war, but no. I thought we had enough gas in America. I thought we had all this oil. Did we not, well, then why is it five bucks? Well, the problem with that is, and I kind of did some research. I say, I would say the same thing. I still say the same thing. The previous administration shut down so many refineries in this country. We don't have the capabilities. Like processing. Whoa, we have the feel, the resources that we have. Yeah, that's the problem. We have the barrels, we have the barrels all stacked over there. Of crude oil, we just can't manufacture them fast enough. Exactly. That's why we always take it out of our oil, so bring it back, you know. And so, the things we, I'm going to say is, grow something for yourself, man. Learn how to do a snare with a rabbit, you know, whatever. Yeah, there you go. Hey, look at that. I'm watching the clock here, bro. We got like 10 minutes to go, but. Okay. So I know you wanted to talk about your beats,
and you sent me a great little video. So why don't you set that up? Let's set that up. And then, and then when you're done setting up the shot here, we'll run the show. Okay, then, you know what? This beginning kind of, after we, I usually start planting around May. So this is a little bit way into you see the adult ones. And like I said, I'm concerned about seeds. And we're to get seeds and water seeds, or they sell in us because I didn't have, so I never had this many failures this year with my beats. And you'll see what I'm talking about when I explain it, because two years ago when I really grew beats last year, I was injured, so I had a smaller garden. And I really had a great of beet harvest two years ago, man. I got 12, 14 courts of just pickled beats, four courts of beet powder, which takes a lot of beats to get the beet powder. It really, it's once it condenses down. And so this year's beats, I'll do good, but it's mostly all going to be powder. Do you have to grow the beats from seeds, or can you grow from an existing beat?
No, beats are a seed, they're seeds. You plan them as drop them in in the summer. So I'm gonna get my greenhouses going. And I try growing the beats and putting the little seedlings in, or their little sprouts, and they're hard, it's easier to put the seeds in in the ground itself. So, but I'm gonna redistribute my dirt next year. I got the different plan with the beats. Expanding the garden to like a quarter of an acre. Nice. Even more, maybe even half an acre. I'm not at that right now, because I get set up my arm. So you're from weightlifting, mine's from a car crash. I can't, I don't know, once I get my raking and hoeing, and mortar tillering going, it's gonna be a madhouse, man. I can't wait, man, sweat, flying off in the next spring. And I'm gonna be rocking a ruler. And I'm gonna be having more garden space than ever before. So I have these beats, I planted, and they didn't come out. I have a lot of failures, so I re-planted. I did okay, and Wayne's range version of K is great
by other people. So I have a lot of beats out there, just not cutting, I have a big chunk of them this size, nice chunk, but the majority of them are this size. I can still use them, but I'm gonna leave the small ones in and let it go to October. Of course, middle of October, let the ring get in there and see if they get some more size out of them. And, but the leaves themselves, I got a whole basket of grief, a beat leaves up there. So they're like six or seven leaves compared to one beat. So I have lots of that. So let it roll and explain it to where the beats, how I had to re-steed it. Okay, here we go. So this is Wayne in his backyard, so to speak, quote unquote, backyard, and his little beat patch. We'll take a look at this. And... Viewer, Joe Ruiz. Joe, I'm just waiting out here. See if you may have a little bit of a farming information and seeding and planning and growing. Right here, he's got one of my favorite
in the whole wide world vegetables. Maybe they're fruit, I don't know. Who knows nowadays? Beats, beats are the most incredible plant that's high light because you can use the beat itself. In myself, I like to cut off the greenery and I have a freeze dryer and use that until like a mulch, great with drinks. It's one plant. It's a beat. I could eat it on a cookie, excuse me, and let's heat it on the farm. I could cook it and eat it hot. I can pickle it. And there's a third view of it. I can freeze dry it. And freeze dry it, I make a powder, which we'll see in a second here. And that powder makes an incredible drink. Super food, excuse me, boy, didn't charge a lot. Little bag of superbeats, $34. I'm Wayne's farm, three or four bucks. So this is the ones that I've grown so far. Now, when you plant seeds, you hope they all come up. While we turn to this box over here,
and this is where they did not come up. I have one, two, three good looking beets coming up, maybe a fourth, five to three plant. And if you look real careful here, I replanted. And there's my beets. The second, and beets can go in. This is August coming up. July, August, September, and in Washington state, October, it's not that big of a deal. And when it starts raining in the middle of October, beets can handle the rain. So these will probably be up at the end of September. Maybe I can harvest them by then about two months. But that's one of my favorite plants right here. Beets, universal, I use them in so many different ways, and incredibly good for you. From the Joe Ruichow, strepper, Wayne, to practical, proper, sign an off. All right. You said something very interesting there. You talk about prices, right? You talk about beet extract and things like that, powders. So I take beet root extract. I take it in a capsule. All right.
So it's granulated and whatnot. And I get a 30-day supply, and it cost me $45 for a 30-day supply. And you supposed to take, well, the one I use, it's three capsules a day. Correct. So that is pricey. That is very, very pricey. And I have another question for you. So I have beet seeds. I have a bunch of them. And do you think that it would be smart to put them in planters, or should we, when you come, should we build, get like railroad ties or something, and build up some planting bed in the backyard, put some chicken wire around it, your range fence or something around it, keep the dogs and stuff out. Right. What do you, is it's, is that a better option, or is putting it in planters and pots and stuff, worthwhile. Well, you do have a garden store where you can get soil
or dirt or potty. Oh, yeah. Can you get, so let me start you right there. Can I tell you what a cheap, and I mean cheap version of, a, but in a big, I'm gonna tell you, they've been a threshold of my life is pallets. Pallets. You got a saw, if you have a handsaw, buy your buddies, you know, zip saw. I want to get you one. You start cutting those suckers in half. Maybe 18 inches, 16 inches is a universal one. You know, 16 inches around. And other, the extra, you know, pallet pieces, you block those off and get the ones between the spaces. They'll fall asleep, still free. The pallets usually, you can find, what are your home deep, usually you can find pallets at anywhere, so these stores, I think a ton of, a ton of pallets every week at my job. I can, take one, stay, start saving them. You will have a line on your fence line, starting with, and I can show you and get you going on them.
And those are great borders. That's your, now your garden raised beds right there. Cause you live in a, a drier area, so you don't have to worry about the wood getting right out and stuff like that. But you start tacking them together. I'm gonna go like this, okay. So there you go. Let's go with the aerial view of it like this. So your, your fence is at the end of my fingers, and your pallets you built are the out, the cell in the cell. And so you're, you're coming up, you know, like this, usually pallets are like this, you just get those ones in between, fill them in. You got a great garden box or zero, some screws. And you've got a garden planner boxes that would cost hundreds of dollars for 10 bucks. And I love pallets like that, cause you can turn them onto flip side where there's no gap or nothing. And you can put up pieces on top to lay your water, to lay your whatever. So you fill the top and with other boards you've taken apart, take them apart, Joe. You know, the slats off of them. You have packed, big pile of slats. Fill them in and you make a ledge all the way down.
So like I said, put, you know, you can put to your box, your seeds, your working on it, whatever. You know, thing to hook your hose. But I would do that. And you may not have to go 16 inches. I, I'm 12 inches for a nice starter, but you got puppies. So you know, the thing is the 16 inches gets the pups out of there, it keeps them out of there. And they're not high jumpers. So you got to, it's not a big lean in there. Man, your fence line, you know, like I said, you can put them on the all four corners because you don't want your fences. They'll, you get dirt goes right to the fence. So pallets are fantastic. They're free. And it's a great way to start, you know, 20, 30 feet. Well, eight, say eight, 16, 24. You're such a nice 24 foot free garden bed. Since you get food, pallets, take one a day. Well, I take one home a day. Hey, joy. Hey, the ways of digging one. Okay, I'm taking one or two, whatever your trunk holes. And you got a hammer. Okay, you got a pry bar. There you go. Man, start stacking those first those,
those picked the nicest ones you want. Cut those suckers, usually in half to usually four feet by four feet. So you still have at least have a two footer. And there's not much, they're not real cumbersome. So you can get through the two buys. Once you start that on that trail and screw them together and then fill in the whole start putting dirt in there, you get eight feet of beats, one, two, three, as I did my rows. Right. You go a little closer. And then your next heat feet, you can put a block. You can put a block or your next heat feet. You pick, you choose whatever, whatever's good in South Texas, down on a border. Look at what grows and what seasons, if you plant something in October. What's Texas, October, November, December. And most of my seeds, like the beats are under, everything's under 90 days. I try to get all my seeds are under 90 days. So if I put them in June, July and August. So I got into the, like I said, the beats got later because it was almost August and I had to replant them again. But they can go in October because they can handle the rain out here. My cabbage getting close, baby.
My, I love purple cabbage, love it. Love cabbage. They're getting not bowling ball size, but they're almost there. Bowling ball size cabbage. And you know what came up? I cut my kale, another kale came up with it. It didn't, it re-grue. So I got fresh kale. I said, hey, we got some more kale. That's great. So, you know, the thing would seeds, like I said, I could, no conspiracy here, but I, the quality of them, I'm going to start to question some companies or whatever. So, and I'm just thinking, whatever you can grow like my peas, I got a big bowl of peas that are all brown. Oh, the peas inside, they're my peas are next year. Nice. I'm already going to plop it those things out. I'm going to have a lot of peas. She likes them. I like peas. Gonna try tomatoes because we actually had some tomatoes this year. So, there you go. Joe, there you go. Sounds like a great plan. I'll get you, I'll get you, I'll find a company up here because I'm going to send you your Joe package. I'm sending you Joe package and then the Joe box. The Joe package, I'm stoked. I'm getting the deer made out. It's sausage making time.
She's already in the casings. Oh yeah, the music's coming. The smoke can be flying. You know, better believe it, man. I'm standing. I'm talking true, no preservatives, baby. No preservatives. And I tried one out of one of the places going out to the ocean, a pineapple flavored one. She loves it. Everybody loves it. So, a little pineapple juice in the mix or pineapple pieces. Nice. That sounds great. Maybe I was thinking if you read Joe, a little pineapple jalapeno. Oh. So, she said, you have a try to get a jalapeno and mix it in there for Joe. So yeah, we love you, man. So much. I just love you so much. But the thing is, I don't have a degree in this, Joe. I don't have an agricultural or biology or... You have practical... It's harder to understand a lot of times practical experience is better than textbook. Yeah, you know what? My buddy, I'm gonna wrap this up with it. I'm just talking to people. I don't want to tell you things. Mike, get a little hairy coming here soon. It's supply shortages because these truckers, they're gonna be bailin' out, man. My son's a truck, he goes dead.
He works for a company. He goes, zush, shut the things down. If he goes over seven bucks, they can't make money, and so he's going, well, we won't make money. Driving me miles and not make any money, not driving, you know? Either way. And so, this thing stays, you're getting a little dicey in the next few weeks, we'll find out because a lot of things are gonna be shipped this time of year. A lot of produce has gotta be moved and because a lot of companies are harvesting, it's gonna be interesting. So yeah, I'd like to just tell everybody, just keep your eye on things and, you know, just don't overspend on stuff too. If you don't need it, don't buy it. Absolutely. Like I said, you say, people, how'd you lose the weight? Well, if I didn't buy it, I didn't need it. So I'm doing good. There you go. There we are, man. But I got some really good stuff coming in. This is my time of the year. This is where I could thrive and it's fun. I mean, there's nothing like fun. It was raining the other day. So she goes, oh, let's do some of this. So we're working on inside the house and some things. And yeah, I got lots of things to do.
All right. Well, listen, brother, we gotta wrap this thing up. You gotta wrap it, night. I gotta get up there and finish cutting my beetles. I got an appointment with the gym. So gotta go do my workout. You gotta do it, rock. You need a manager, rock. I'm managing. Telling you, I gotta lose the cage here though, but we're gonna do it. No, no, no, no, hey, hey, I'm back. I got 30, I got 40 LBs ago from all this stuff that's happened to me. And the nurse said about 20 of that's from your bleeding internally. She says, you'll kick that out of here soon. And I will, I get us to get back to the gym and light bells and I tell my dear wife, she's gotta work on those glutes though. She's gotta work on those glutes. What do we call it before the show? It was a gluteus maximus. Yeah, it's gluteus maximus, buddy axis. Buddy axis, yeah, something like that. Yeah. So yeah, she, but you know what she did? She's going to, she's going to Cabo with me. She goes, I'm gonna try my swimsuit. This is after her losing 26 pounds.
I go, it's looking good. Yeah. And she felt good. It was a good thing for her. That's it. And it's all that matters for me. You know what I mean? She too. All right, bro. But love you. And I know it sounds like whatever those words, pipe dreams, no, we're getting our stuff together for you. Oh, I know you are. I, yeah, it's like she's already got this and this. And I think she wants to send you some, some certain yeast and some other stuff for bread making and some other things. And we definitely want to get you some jam in there and what have you. But the tomato sauce, if I could put it in a line, it'll stew tomatoes, freeze dried. And then you can make your own sauce out of the tomatoes from the garden. Beautiful. We remind us to start popping it. They're nice and they're getting nice and full. And they're starting to get a little taller here. So I got to get the cages ready. You got to get less stuff in place. Yeah, I'm excited. But did you, did you like the ideas of the free palettes? Yeah, absolutely. I actually use a palette right now. I use that as a stand for the most. There you go. They're the most cheapest resource for, I have a lumber shed out there built by palettes.
I'm going to tear down because we have a new lumber shed. We're going to, it's a new fabricated metal thing with, you know, and our man is, he's, he's cutting timbers to make lumber for her chicken operational facility. So I just didn't think, I didn't think of using the palace to actually build the planter boxes with, which is a great idea. Go online. And it could actually, I was thinking too, you could probably leave the palette intact and just remove those top slats. And you already have squared and, and, and together. Just fill it. You can just take those top ones off and then have them between. Yeah, however you want to do it. Yeah, yeah. If you don't want to cut them, take those first six. If it's eight or 10, take half of them off, but you know, get your dirt in there, man. Rock and roll. Exactly. I get done, I never leave. Well, well, that's, that's the plan here, brother. I know. Where's he at? He won't leave, man. He's out in the dirt, you know? That's it. Yeah. You got to get a, got to get a citrus fruit tree there. Yes, I know. And I, I think I found, I think I found the spot orange trees, lemon trees, lime trees do fantastic down here.
So, all right, man. So that's the deal. Bloodseed is to you. If everybody out there, like I said, just be aware. You can prepare. If you're not aware, you can't prepare. How's that joke? Be aware and prepare. There you go. You like that? Okay, that's my final word right there. All right. All right. I think that's the tactic. Let's see. It's the Self-Dustation. Yeah. Salatations to your man. Salatations to your man. Salatations. All right. Hey, the hay is in the barn. There you go. All right, folks. Another great, great conversation with our brother Wayne.
