Today we have been on the road for the last two weeks, which has been pretty fun. We've met some good, awesome people and we've learned a lot about some some ammo, but we're excited this week. We're recording this a little early, but the week that you listen to this is the upseason. And if you're not excited, I just don't know what to do for you. I don't know what to do for you, but we have got Tucker was today and Mr. Kirk Porter. He is, he is gracious enough to come back and

2:04kind of give us a little knowledge and maybe educate us a little bit on things if we're excited. And we're about to start dub season. Maybe there's some things we need to remember before we go out there. And we're going to try to cover some deer hunting stuff and maybe we'll get another memory or two out of him today. I think he's had a fun summer. I've seen some fish with some big fish. Yeah. I've been impressed with the fish. So as far as summertime for you, man, you don't have several thousand people sitting in the woods in your county every day right now. So what? What? It's in water, I guess. Yeah. It's been a bunch of time around the water down. And say it. It's it's been hard to find anybody. Yeah. You got to go check in there. If you're not working late in the evenings, you really not being very productive. We go out of the county a good bit. We're going to find some other bodies of water to get on the water to work. I got you. All right. Well, look, like I said, we had went last week to Apex. Those guys were awesome. We had a good time. Me and Tucker got to, I told those guys we got there that I was ignorant to pretty much anything that goes into Bill Namo. And I was probably should be ashamed of how little I really do know

3:07you're just over the years you go buy shells, you go hunt. And that's it. A little bit more about raffle shells, but these guys have got the tungsten down to the science. They've got that's awesome. Listen until when I saw that they had the dove shells released in probably June, I started reaching out right then and never knew if I get a response. And we did and they got to teach us a little bit about them. You know, that's not their bread and butter as far as the dove shells, but I'm glad they got into that game because if you a lot of people shoot their shells that need to trust that one shot on a turkey. If they trust that, then the dove should follow three with it. It's worth it really untrill it's worth spending the money if you're going to go hunt. And especially turkey hunting, you just send the money on the rat shells. It's really untrill you're down to one shot on a turkey. You're gonna spend all that money on your camo and everything. You lose. Nobody really thinks about that shell till you pull the trigger and miss it, you know. So moving to now, I want to say thank you again, man, for coming. 4:10you know. We enjoyed it last time. We got a lot of response from people last time that told me they did not realize some things that we talked about. Kids having their own their own number to get their bake privilege and things like that. People, I don't think it's, I mean, Ignor is not going to get you any sense. But a lot of times people don't realize it. I know when turkey was little, I did not realize that. And I called the reporter dear and was taught that and we got it fixed. But people didn't realize that. And, you know, I think we had several people. No kid in Simium Ascii. But I did not have a clue about this. You know, and that's good. We got, we've got a lot of kids that we know that are that are into hunting and maybe their moms and dads learn a little bit and then can save them some trouble in the future. But let's move to Dosey. It's Dose season. It's finally fired up. Yeah. It means that you get to take a gun legally and go kill some things. Look, hopefully. Yeah. Yeah. You're shooting at something. I'll get more opportunity to shoot some of the shells, not saying these shells can make me hit anything better. But I should have

5:14a better chance if I can just put the beat on them. So let's let's get into Dough Hunt. If we, you made me a fan of Dough Hunt. And I think you liked the Dough Hunt, right? It is one of my favorite things. So before we get into this, if you had, if you had the option that you, any field that you could ever hunt, would it be wait, millet, sunflower, corn? What would it be? Mallow, anything sunflower sunflower. Sunflower. Sunflower. Yeah. Man. I know. Maybe everybody's got their own personal experience. This field I've ever hunted. It was a good clean. Okay. Okay. Well, you won't have that here. Because I can see you. You're a sunflower. I'm doing it. Maybe there. I'm here. We can't do nothing. I should say anywhere the birds are though, because really, truly, but Sunflowers. Our Sunflowers typically look like dandelions. Yeah. And yeah, we'll top out. And it's our fault for not taking care of the soul, man. So I'm not not gonna say that. At most of the time, if they even, if they even get that tall, it's like a win-win situation because the deer, you know, miscellaneous like come out and tend to eat. So with the season coming on, and I looked

6:17this morning, I didn't realize North South zone and Alabama. South zone, they're really struggling. We could beat the South right now because there is, I mean, this one line of the most southern tip of the state is the West counties in the South zone. South zone. So pretty much, the whole state of Alabama will open up on the fifth at noon, right? There you go. Okay. And I think, Mrs. Hippy, we talked to those guys on the day. They're state pretty much as the same. They're going to be pretty much the same with us when they open. So is there anything that you see most of the time that people just totally are oblivious to or too excited to remember to do something that just covers their tail? I mean, like a plug. Yeah, well, and most people know that. Now, you get a new hunter. A lot of times that's what we see is a lot of times when we see somebody don't have a plug, either really, truly outlawed and they don't care. But be a lot of time somebody will come hunt with a buddy. Yeah. If you're going to take somebody hunt, you know, set him up right. Yeah. Because don't get your buddy a ticket. Yeah. Another thing that I would highly encourage someone to do,

7:17just to cover your butt is if you go hunt on someone else's and it's not being rude, just simply ask, Hey, how did you prepare the field? A simple question. And then when you get to your spot, you don't have to walk the whole thing. You don't have nobody's expecting you don't have to, you know, we'd be kind of rude if you went around. When you get to your area, you need to make a little circle and just make sure nothing looks out of place. Yes. Out of place would be crack corn in a wheat field. Yeah. You know, something something obvious. Because you are liable for the area you're hunting. There's some things that you're not responsible. You can't possibly know what they did before you got to that field. But if there's something out there on the ground, obvious or liable. Okay. All right. Well, then, I guess if we're going with a man Tucker had questioned and we talked to you just a little while ago, you know, when we look at all of these these hunting seasons and it gives you the the legal hours we're going what they

8:19like the Sunset or certain amount of time before after and all this. What I just learned this. I've been using the hunting app forever, but you can kind of promote your app now because yeah, you brought the you brought the news. Glad we talked about this ahead of time. Yeah. So if you're going outdoor Alabama at the top of our app, outdoor Alabama app, there is a little section that says weather and then it'll say ad location. And I wish I'd have known this years ago. I haven't played with our app enough, but yeah, it's a top two thing. It does. You just you just top in your location. And for instance, when we were just messing with it, I put myself as a home location. That way when I'm hunting my house, it will tell you sunrise sunset. You've got the wind, man. I'm not positive. Oh, no, you can add wherever like let's take this. Yeah, dry, polished and so it'll give you that sunrise sunset and give you the wind direction. Yeah. What the weather's going to be like. So it takes all the guests where I think I used to see in one of the books that chart and you could kind of remember that before you took a we have a

9:21computer in her hands every time we walk around there. Yeah. So but that pretty much takes a guesswork out of it where it's not questionable. And I did not know that was there. And that's that's as easy as it comes, man. So I can't mess that up. Yeah, take the liability off yourself because you know, some some apps vary. You may get not realizing you're looking at Eastern time or so I can pull that out through all that math. Go right by. Yeah. You've got it. It's easy. That that makes it very easy. The next question. I guess that takes a lot of people don't have common sense. So this is one of those things where you have to help people that need common sense. And maybe I don't have a whole lot, but you know, even me, I've been there before. We we dove hunt and you're at an awesome freaking hunt. And you realize you're sitting right there. Carves are passing by on the road. And we live out in the middle of nowhere. So we're not sitting out by our 22. We're not even sitting on a state highway. We're not sitting on the highway by any means. But you know, in your mind, as for me, I've always wondered like how close it am I too close?

10:24You know, common sense tells you we're not shooting toward a power line. We're not shooting toward a road. We're not shooting toward a body. We're not shooting at low birds. We're shooting toward a house. We need to feel with the crest and if that's even the best, you know, that's the best kind of field. If you can't see your neighbor across the field, that's the greatest. But I guess do you ever see a problem with people that get careless or reckless or just don't have enough common sense to say off the ride away? Yeah, you know, most of the time, especially with small game hunting, it's a lot more lenient. You can hunt right up to the right of way of that public road. Yes, I do see it. I've seen people standing on dirt roads shooting does. I've seen people shooting does over the road. You know, I see a lot of that. But yeah, and just I always try to give you all a little bit. So somebody can go look it up. 9-11-257 is that law 9-11-27. And so that just tells you the restrictions and regulations on or the law on hunting from a public road. The legitimate. The legitimate. So if you're hunting with a center fire rifle, bus a load of the 40 caliber larger or a. Yeah, slugs and buck shots.

11:30You've got to be 50 yards from the public right away. Okay. Yeah, it's not so kinkin here. If you own the property, you can hunt right up to the right of way. Okay, so a lot of people don't know that. But again, that's strictly for landowners when we're talking about general public. Yeah, you've got to be 50 yards from the right away with that center fire. And when you're dove hunting, you can be directly up to the right way of the public. It's your responsibility to know what the right way of the right way of the road. Because I guess, you know, like that can change depending on what type of road it is. And that's like you say that's on you to figure out where you're at. And again, generally speaking, that's going to be what's maintained. Okay. If we're, you know, we're talking just in general terms, generally it's what's maintained by the. Yes, you know, I like to dove hunt. It's fun. It's the, you know, I'm I miss so much. And that's okay. I miss, you know, I think everybody can say they miss. If they don't, that's all right. If you don't miss a dove, man, I want to know what you're doing.

12:32You know, a shotgun show company likes to see me coming because I'm fixing to use what I get a lot of sound. You know, and I, I've whatever, I have good time. You get to see people, man, you hanging out and it's an opportunity, like when I was growing up and I, we may have talked about this before, but I don't believe we have. You know, you see, you see me as a child, my granddad was a rabbit hunter. Okay. You get to walk around and you can bring your buddies, you can talk and you can, you can fellowship with people. All right. The dog hunting went away in Alabama, but I mean, people can argue that for whatever, 40,000 years, it is what it is this day and time. So when that went away, you kind of lost the, the being able to hang out with 10 or 12 people and once you're down to a couple at the most, and you're going to sit and still hunt, you can walk them and you could do a, you can walk a field or cut over whatever you know, but it kind of changed a little bit. And then people started getting into Koonhunt kids, the teenagers, everybody kind of goes through it, they're hanging out, you get

13:34to go hang out. I wasn't a real big fan of getting lost in the woods. No, all right. Every time I went to Koonhunt, we got lost in the woods and you can't ever, I just couldn't. I just found it. I gave that up. You may have went through the Koonhunt phase. I don't know. I just didn't, I've been a couple times. That's not what I did. That's not a fan. And I'm not against Koonhunting. No, man, I need to, I need to lock it. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. You get them things going. So, but, you know, and then you rock on a little while later, you know, people may have some squirrel dogs, but it kind of got to the point where it's hard for some people to go with kids to hunt. If you, you know, I won't talk, sorry, it doesn't like to sit and be quiet for a long time. I understand. So, I don't, I don't beat him with it. I ask him, but, you know, I'm not going to make him. But a dove hunt is the first opportunity you could take a kid. They can talk, they can send my walk around safely, right? You can move around. They take their snacks, they can have their drinks. And you can sit out there and eventually they might get zoned in and be able to shoot. First don't tell how many times depending on how the birds are flying. So, it's a good chance to get

14:35some kids to go hunting and go outside. My favorite part, I hear so many people complain about this, about dove hunting. I'll be, you know, opens, I don't want to, like, opens the boil. It's hot. So, it's hot, but I find more enjoyment when everybody's there around the shop or wherever you're at, eating lunch together, talking about, I won't get listening to anybody like, you're going to be able to win it out. No, but I just like when everybody gets there together and gets talking and then you go out to the field and you spend all evening with each other. That's my favorite thing. But I hear so many people complain about it opening up at 12 and everybody's so hot out there. Yeah, and everything. Ain't nothing like you do about it. But I just, I find it fun because we all spend all morning there talking together and everything and then you're feeling just so you can actually shoot the dove. So, this is out today on Thursday before should be releasing Thursday before we start dove season in Alabama on Saturday. If you got a kid, you got to see if they got a buddy that wants to go and let them be out there because they may not have the chance and that might be you give it 20 years, you may be hunting

15:37that kids field one day. So, you never know. Play the long game. Play the long game, plan ahead. You know, try to find somebody and make them interested in it and man, they might, they may end up want to be a game worn here. You know, you never know. One thing we started doing on our field and we always try to have a few people over and you know, you want to get some hunting into. So, I've started for my kids and for their buddies, they bring, I'll set up like a little baby gun course over to the side of the field and we'll have bottles and we'll have targets. So, in that way, they kind of get into it. And when they get tired of being over there with you and sweating in the field, you know, and they can kind of go over there and have their own. That's all, some odd. Yeah, that's all. That's pretty neat. I'll be be gun. I'll probably need to get me up a little course off the side over there. I'll go with my friends. That's where I'm at in the shade down there. She gets to the best bottles. That's my day. That's not the best of the year right there. No, that's the, why's the bother anything over there? You missed five.

16:41Yeah, we got a lot of them. You got over 30 minutes. That's all. I'm seeing you here. Come back. We'll see. We'll make sure. Shoot a little bird. Send them over there. That's the corner. That's the corner. That's the one we do. All right. That's awesome. That's like real good idea. I've never heard of that, but that's pretty good. No, that was pretty good. All top of the up hunting, I guess. If we wrap that up and now it's time to get to their season. If we're for me, Tucker, you can tell me when duck season rolls in there. We'll have to do another whole another day. We'll have to say that for a whole another day. That's the whole. We talked about that last time that we'll make. They, he loves to duck hunt and we've met some pretty cool people that are associated with duck hunting through this and it's been awesome and real nice. I think we're going to try to hit one of them. Come down here and get a wood duck. Yeah. Tucker's going to teach him how to mount it and then he's going to take it home with us. I think it'll be pretty fun. He wants to do a live from start to finish live hunt, bring it back clean. They'll be live for two days in a row. Yeah.

17:45It'll be fun though. It'll be pretty cool. We'll say that you've killed it. Mounting it and brought it back home. I think it'll be pretty fun, but that being its own self when we go to a duck. Waterfowl. Waterfowl. Yeah. Then let's say if we're going to deer, we kind of took cover some stuff, kid side related last time. Let's talk about some deer hunting. I've got not necessarily me. I'm stuck right here in Fett County, Alabama to do most of my deer hunting and that's okay. I'm not I'm not wanting it because I love where we have got community to hunt. But I've got a lot of buddies that travel out of state a lot to hunt. And I guess this day and time you can be on social media and look at different hunting pages and you see that out here we're pretty blessed with the hunting season to the amount of time we are. Yes we are. You have to work hard. It's a lot longer. By the way, she's hard. You're non-stop for months. These guys we've talked to, you know, they were talking guys. You got a nine day deer season. Oh, it's raffle season. It's raffle season. But it was nine days and Wisconsin.

18:48Yeah. Oh, it's it's like a war when I told you I said I would be off work for nine days. He said he said he likes to deer hunt, but the only reason he has it got as deep into it. Everybody down south has it's caused this hunting season. It's not what it is. And I don't understand much to that little I guess. I understand what he's saying. But you know, like for us, well, these guys are traveling to different states. What would you say is some of the things people forget about when they're bringing this deer back? What's some of the things that need to be done to the deer to make it right? Because I know there's laws. They've got to be certain things to keep it safe here. Yeah, that's correct. No matter what your opinion is on what safe, there's laws for what we've got to have. And one thing, you know, if you're going to spend the time and money, make sure you do your homework beforehand. I've gotten calls from people that go have a trip planned and then they're on the way back and just realize, oh, you know, so go ahead and make plans for that. Do some research. But yeah, if you're going to out of state, anywhere and you're wanting to bring that deer back,

19:51one thing I would recommend, find a taxidermy taxidermy is up there local. And that stays you all the trouble in the world. However, if you do want to bring that back, it's got to be completely deboned. The meat does. And as far as that score goes, it got to be just a flames told plate and no brain matter. I have got to cut that skull cap. Right. Where are you? I wish I had some horn. It's the show people were talking about. Must say by the name. It's in my safe then for somebody that that's willing to keep one out cut the cut the skull. Everybody, I mean, if you've, I mean, find someone there to hit you. Somebody around he's going to know what to do. That's what I was wondering if you can get to the skull cap and get the bone you can take it out. Then you can you can slice me. Worst case scenario if you are there and you got that skull, you go to a car wash. Try to make sure you wash every bit of everything out of that. But I mean, really, and truly, if you're going to carry it to a taxidermy, you got to carry it like, bring it me. You probably call that guy and ask him how to do it.

20:52And they can walk you through step by step just to save you from getting a ticket. You probably made an instruction video for season just for your page. Yeah. And to get a skull cap. That would be that and the care for all tax. Yeah. So it would help out a lot. But I'm just telling anybody that if they don't watch videos or anything, just listen to this and you plan on going on trip. Just call somebody and they'll I promise you they'll help you walk. I had a time. Yes, I had a time. Okay. So that'll help that taxidermist and help you if you end up. I mean, you know, we were when we were in Texas, I had never thought about this. But we were going to kill pigs. It's up to 20 kill. So they got behind. So there's there. There's there. There's certain men at random. There's certain licenses that they required, right? And it was like an out of state hunting license would cover. And I think it was relatively the cheap to go pig hunt. Now for him to do the exotic was kind of, but it was bad. That was like 54 or something. I mean, I'm like hunting right.

21:53It was private. Exotic hunting. So it's kind of cheap. But the same thing with that. They had everything. We had this to look out for. We had a game. I wanted to do all that. The guy told me that he had been the place. They'd been. They'd been contacted by some authorities because nothing they have done wrong. They're placed. But a guy had traveled. You know that those guys have no clue what license. Yeah, this is not a great thing. You're responsible to cover your butt. Yeah. They charge you for coming there. You you got to get your stuff for the guy posted pictures of what he took home. How it gets back. I don't even know what state he was in. You know what I mean, but the guy's like, Hey, I've got to. I'm not. I'm not. I'm anal about it. I'm not. I got. I got. But obviously some people aren't. Well, these. He I don't even know what he killed. We didn't ask his none of my business. But he's like, man, how the guy a couple of months ago that got called by his state. And then they got called by this state. And because he had done. He had done wrong in two states just by not. Like I say, maybe an ignorant, but he's not going to make you innocent.

22:54But he, you know, he kind of messed up with what he had done by traveling back home. Well, yeah, just just to be clear, we were talking about that. Go out of state. If you break a law out of state, bring that animal back. They fell in it. Yeah, it's about Lacey. That's where it was at. So you know, getting big trouble. Yeah, that's why he was calling him just. And you know, I've been. And, you know, I never realized this until I became a game. I mean, I could call some game warrants out of state every year and be like, hey, this guy came up here and hunted. See that? See the picture? Yeah. They want us to go help, you know, assist with their investigation. Yeah. And it's, and like, that guy, the person they were talking about may have been totally oblivious, but I can't help that, you know, like I was able to about when we went. I don't know what we're supposed to have. And I, I wouldn't. They didn't leave, leave, bought all the stuff before we went. And when we got there, if we all came in together, you know, they're giving us a safety briefing. Well, we stopped right then. Like, hey, is this the way we have everything right? Yeah. So. And I guess different states probably are pretty strict on different different guns or different ammo. I mean, they was a lot of different

23:55restrictions on hunting seasons. No doubt. Like we just said. So if you're traveling, and a lot of people are blessed and get to go places, man, I've got buddies who have a Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, and not least met people that are hunting in all these other states. You better be on top of what you, I mean, it's, yeah, you've got to find out what you can legally do and can't do. And, yeah, you don't want it to be like you say across the line. And now you got two involved and you're in trouble by for an accident. If you're going to spend the time and money, you know, do your stuff some homework. And now we talked for last time I was on this talk I asked about. You know, calling our officer or calling us, we're really not hard to get hold of. You know, if you're looking for information, so do the same thing for that outstate. And they just, y'all know that you're, they're trying to do it right. You know what I'm saying? I have to make an effort to the show. Make an effort. Just to make sure that you are around. Gotcha. Is there any secret question you have to go with that? 24:56And I think I think he knows these things. We might talk about that. Well, first of all, let's go back and we've got the, we're back here so everybody can see. And we don't see it, but you know, it goes, but they're tough and other stuff.

25:56They've got all kinds of attached. Sage Pratters, ATV, Sage Pratters. I saw they had an advertisement today for the quick attached palette for works. I mean, you can't beat something like that if you get it. So, either way, they got good products. The next one, Kelly, down the co-op, I'll say it. I've tried to tell people in this direction like Central Alabama, if you're anywhere remotely close to here and you're ready to plant, I think it's worth your while to call and get you a boat price. And you might just travel down here and let them earn your business because they turn around and help a lot of our kids. That's F.A. and stuff like that. We've tried to cover them. They help out a lot. So, it's helpful. She's helped us. She helps kids. She's helped Tucker. And got us out of some bines by the stuff. They keep on hand down there, not including this farm instead. So, and they're gonna help save you time. So, now, let's talk about their season. What do you want to talk about? What do you guys? So, there's some. I know you hunt. I know you, I know you, other. If you could choose this, I'm just going back to life. I'm just going to see him. I know what he's saying. That does say something. Yeah. I know you want to hunt over some fires. There. Would you rather hunt some like beautiful hardwoods that's just stained, you know, you can save 50 yards through it wide open. Or would you rather hunt a greenfield? What would you rather hunt?

27:58Out of those two? Yeah, I just out of those two. Out of those two, you know, I love looking at a greenfield. I'd rather be in the zone. I've never, I don't think I've ever been able, I've never in my lifetime been able to hunt hardwoods. I used to hunt with a buddy. He had a beautiful hardwood least that he had. He got to hunt. We don't, we don't have it. I mean, there's some hardwoods around the river there, you know, but that's not what we're talking to roll and heal the hardwoods, man. It's hard to be. Those are some new podcasts that they and they were talking like they commonly don't think. It was some people that do drone surveys and they were saying that they don't see those big bucks during the rut hanging out in open hardwoods where we want to see it. You know, they're what. So I was just about to say, you know, it's probably the least aesthetically pleasing to look at. It's something early, successful like a cutover. Yes, yes. Just to see a hardwood bottom now is a very nice, and it's a blessing if you have one. And I know that people at times and he's a turn of dollar, but it hurts my heart. I've actually talked to a buddy that hates and forestry now. And he's working at a different county and I'll be able to. But he said, Tucker, you will not believe the difference up here. He said, I can count on both like one, like two of my hands. How many stands of pines that I've drove by the whole time I've been here? He said the rest is just hardwoods. And he's like, if we had, if we had this background home, people would not know what to do. But I was like, man, are we honest? Well, like you must have, we'll be cut down, you know? Yeah. But he was just, he was bragging on that up there. So, what would they name the helping? I don't know. I don't know if I can say it. He's so bad at that. I'm like, he's just trying to, I like he's trying to help all the hunters up there. I'm saying, maybe they'll do good,

30:00but anyway, what if works? So we've covered talking state lines with there. And all what would you say? I guess, what was the most common thing you see people screwing up with around here just to straight up, man, what are you doing? Is it there's at the orange? Is it was by the way? Come on. Why are you talking about orange? I don't know if we hit on this. Y'all like this interesting. We'll have a hit on that. Okay. All right. Okay. So they have passed a regular relation issue. I saw an advertisement where hot pink. I saw this now. And said illegal in lieu. Either one blaze orange or hot pink. I'll be honest, man, I saw that on Facebook two weeks ago. Told this girl back. I thought it was a boobist post. Hey, and you know what? And I've told my wife, as I said, if I would have been a business savvy, yeah, I would have started making, you know, some cool hats. Yes. You know, it's going every, every, every girl,

31:00like little girl, that she walked behind. She wants to wear that hot thing. That's right. That was the one. I'm telling you. I mean, I guarantee that's also it. Well, you know, I just, so do you see a lot of people that just straight up, we just forgot about this? Yeah. So, you know, the orange is most, most of the mistakes we think are accidental. We're in a hurry. We're in a hurry. Yeah. We didn't prepare, we overslept or something like that. A lot of times, I'll go by trucking the orange beast in the front station. Yeah. Boom. Yeah. Um, you know, most, most people nowadays are pretty good about getting their last, we've fought the harvest record, you know, the mandatory reporting there for a little while. But most people are pretty good about it. Yeah. Well, it's to the point, if you're going to have, if you're doing it in home, you might can hide something till you get busted. If you take it somewhere, you got to have it. Oh, if you, if you, the way that I've seen it now, where it's like, I think what's helping out everybody getting our stuff tagged is,

32:01if you care to a processor, that thing ain't taking it. And if you bring it there to me, and it ain't tagged, do you better just walk on out? Then I'm done. I ain't nothing. You know, we leave it there just taking it. And I'm not calling anybody stupid. Yeah. In Alabama, you're, we have a long, a steer season. Yeah. We have the most liberal bag limit. Yes. Yes. You can hunt over bait. If you're breaking a law in Alabama, you are, you're really, you really deserve it. I mean, you know what I'm saying? I mean, it's just a week. Wow. But no, most, most instances are accidental. Sometimes we'll see somebody trying to get by with a little ice. And sometimes we see people, some people that are bad about shooting small bucks. They don't want to report it. Yeah. They shot something for a doe. And it turns out to be a flock and they're trying to get away with not having to pick them under the sun. Yeah. Yeah. This is one of these. We have not hunt. It's like there's always been not hunt. Not hunt. Yeah. And I'm sure you're all going to test this. It's not as bad as it was. It's a win. We 10 years ago. No, but along 30 years ago, it still happens.

33:01It does. I'm sure when we built our house, we're in a rover layer here. That was known for good deer back in the day. The timber looks different now. So things are kind of different. Kind of things kind of changed through over time. You know, but when we first moved here, I'm asleep when that. And I hear something that the train, when we have a train pass through this area here, it's in the bottom. Sounds a lot different in the summer than it does. The stranger winner. Right. Winner time. I hear a noise and I'm laying there in this deer's. And I told Ginger, so that's that's that train sounds different. She said all things to train. And I get up to look out there front door. And when I did, there is a square body shabby. That we're talking about 10 years ago. There's a big square body shabby sitting directly in front of my house. There are yards, not what? 30 yards. No, it's not. It's like that. There's a truck sitting right there with an individual standing in the back. Well, it's caught. That man is on top of this truck and one guy driving and they're shining their fields. So I start flipping our our porch lights on.

34:02They're pretty bad. They say they're gonna the guy about falls in. They got a form. You know what I mean? But now I know who that guy was. I may have called him out. But I think that was enough to keep them away then. But they're probably doing it somewhere else. Another instance when Tucker was maybe four or five years old. We used to race some of my granddad's bagel. Oh, yeah. That's was I got scared to death. Yeah. Man, we've been in a great place. And I went out there. I like messing. I don't know. I don't just get the puppies. I get the puppies in his mess with me. Well, the puppies he was walking from where we parked our car. And we just come from our grandparents on a Sunday. Come home, Tucker wants to get a puppy to play with it. I said, go out and get a pen is riding these woods right at the back of my yard at the time. Right. He's still when he gets there. I hear a truck rolling down the dirt road. I mean, they're just creeping. Creeping. And I assume it's our neighbor. That's coming home. Well, it's not because about the time he gets to that pen, they cap off on a deer. And that I can see the deer. There's two doors between us. And now I see the truck. And I just want you to know, man,

35:03they, they, uh, I think they smart it up and figured out that we were here. Thank God, nobody got hit. I don't think they hit the deer. I found the shell. And uh, I walked obviously. Man in that, in that moment, I can see where people have a problem. Because he just almost killed me or my kids at my house. I instantly got my pistol out of my truck. And I'm standing there walking to the road. Thank it. I'm gonna stop the person to say, Hey, give me your gun. And just see it here. To the cop gets here. But when I walked to that road, they turned around and left and I saw the truck. And you know, I was able to, uh, was able to track them down. I was able to figure out who they were. And I saw one day and I told them like, Hey, if you want homeers, I'll bring you some. If you need me, I'll give it to you out of my freezer. But you don't be able to get my kid back. But let's not do that ever again. And I think maybe that shocked them enough. They never came back and done that. But I'm literally never shot back even when I was a kid. He's like, well, when you get a kid, no, I never did that. I just don't, I don't understand why people are good with the danger of doing something like that for a freaking deer. You know, I don't that tick me off that. That wasn't even like shot in the filter.

36:05Nothing. That was on the broad daylight. Two o'clock on the Sunday afternoon shooting at a dope. Yeah, there were a power line that wouldn't even be, you know, happened in and nobody was hurt. Thank God, you know, but it was close. That had to be very close to shooting Tucker. And, you know, I've told this. I think I've said, I'm guilty of this as hunting, being an addition. I'm sure you say people that, and I've said it last week. And I know people probably get tired of hearing that. I said it every week. It is though. I mean, it's hunting not not addictive. I mean, it is. So you got to be careful with doing what you're supposed to do. Because when people are addicted to things, they go way out. And that's the ones that end up in jail and stuff for no reason. Or there's a reason, but you could, you could take it up. You know, I think that kid was this, he just, he was getting the body count numbers. All he was wanting to know. And he about got my kid. So I think maybe that scared him enough that maybe he never done that again. Because who knows what the next one, but you know, some, you are in a good, I mean,

37:05about eight years ago, man, my partner called somebody. That's what I'm out right up there. It's easy to do. I think I remember that now. Yeah, well, I don't know if that was you. Yeah, it was because you sitting right out there. Man, I think they thought we was the one that called the law on it. We didn't know. I was told you. Look at me. I'm on the way. We had to win the thing. I say blue lines. And I'm like, that's right. We pulled them over. I'm right. Yeah. Yeah. I was running my mind. I got that. And I was like, I'll sit there watching TV. And I was like, man, that's sick. Because you know where we live. Yeah. You never stay here. I was like, I see blue lines, folks. And I was like, man, the TV. You know, you know, look, and I was like, oh, man. Oh, man. But you know, you get to see who the people was. And I thought we called them. I don't know. But you know what? I didn't. I don't know how I didn't have to. Because you was being sent me too many times. And then you know, I think we girl up and we learn. And but, you know, just don't do stuff like that. You don't have to. There's enough to year round. I think my mom was kind of picked in boys that night.

38:05They drove home. And I think they all put their heads down. It was a bad night. And I, you know, I did not know they were doing that. It was basically right here. Yeah. Oh, man. But, you know, I think we've grown up. I think we've learned. And it's just it ain't, it ain't. I'm 44 years old and I've never done that in my life. And I don't feel like I'm losing lost anything. I mean, you know, and safely, I think we're kind of growing out of that somewhat culturally. But it's still. Well, you know, most of the people we see now are opacudistic. Yeah. They say something that's going there and they can't handle it. Yeah. Yeah. So. Oh, yeah. I would like to sit. I might look with my benifers, but I don't have the nerve to do that. Yeah. I don't. I'd be nervous. Say that 100%. So if, you know, bear seasons coming, we've talked about being stupid and stepping across the line, I guess. Now we've pretty much talked. And until today, I really have always used a weather app to, uh, to see that sunset sunrise thing. That clears that up for anybody. I didn't even know it was very, really.

39:07I talked about it. It's pretty awesome. You've got that that you can cover. You can get your license easily. And I guess that's one thing we need to say, you're able to, what are my pursuance in the license for each year? I guess we need to get over that. We do, especially this year. So some of the license things have changed. And I just want to give you just a quick, whatever you want to say. Um, uh, the license or change, we're going to get some people graphing because there is a little bit different system. It's not anything to end up. But the reason for it is, it's dirty for everybody. Yeah. You know, the state, when they're taking all these driver's licenses, no more personal information. They're responsible for a lot of information. So the changes that you're going to be going through this year, when you go to purchase the license, it is because of that. It is because no one likes change, but that's, that's, um, that's the reason. But yes, what I do want to highly recommend, uh, does season comes on, comes out that timber fleet. Okay. You can, the all license this year, expire August 31st.

40:07Don't wait till the morning of September 5th to go try to buy your purchase your license. Uh, um, go ahead and get it as soon as you can, because what, what, what we've had happened in the past, some, so many people try to do it all at once. Yeah, that's what I asked the system. I mean, we've had all kinds of things to know what block times happen. Somebody don't realize their license, their driver's license. I heard, and then they can't go get their license. They don't wait till last, and I know it's easy to say, I do it for a living, but yeah, you're responsible. Go ahead and get that license purchased. It's not behind that. Okay. That's pretty good because I, you know, I was almost gifted in my last, I'm being in my drive with license, being this five extra. I had a patient talking about to go eat your license. It was close to my birthday. I looked at it, I said, oh man, yeah, I got to go ahead and get it. I got one question. So most of the people like, so if you're, I've heard it, I don't know, I'm not an agent. I don't know when I'll be there. But uh, so I, uh, a certain agent Alabama, there's, I think it's at 65 or 70 bird. 65. Okay.

41:07So that's like the hunting license, you can kind of, you don't have to get it right. Yeah, but you have to get the bait loss. That's correct. There is no exemptions on, on the baiting privilege. Yes. Uh, whether you're four years old or 94, that's the bait in license. Yeah. As far as hunting doves we'll talk about now, 16 to 65. Yeah. I have to have a license. A license. And then there's different stipulations, such as the only own land or your own or me family's land. But yeah, as, as a whole from 16 to 65, also when you're hunting does, we talked about, I think the head on this is to hit the highest information permit. Anyone, 100 migraines with birds in Alabama needs to have that, but yeah, permit on their last. Okay. If you go to Walmart, I hear it all the time. Well, they didn't give me that. Well, that's one of the things you have to ask. You got to ask. So it's so easy now to get purchased the license on your app. Yeah. Like I said, there are some changes to make sure you go ahead and now and and check that out. But if you're purchasing that license, make sure you get on there and use to

42:07like that hit permit. Yeah. So like tonight, I mean, if you're listening to it today, the Thursday, you probably just need to go ahead and make sure you got everything right. I don't know the exact date. There are, you can purchase it a little before the next day. This will be, so it opens September 5th. Will be this will be about September 3rd. This should be, you should already have your license. So yeah, you know what, you might be that guy that's late, but I just know the way. You know, the story of the store is also held, right? Most of them. Yeah. Yeah. A good one that's been around a while that knows what they're doing. They will help you out. So I'm not able to get one there. It's if you can't. The program online. The probate office. They sell license. They know what they're talking about. You have some trouble. Go to the problem. I'll sell for a couple of years ago. It's been so many years ago, but I accidentally, we were talking this last time. I was doing shame to say this, but I accidentally selected the one where I made the supervision. I'm alive. Yeah. And I didn't realize it until I was being checked. They had a death field. Yeah. But thank God I've been supervised. You know what I mean? And I was out there with her.

43:08I didn't. But and then he told me I needed to go. I could get online and get the other piece. I fixed that, but I had done that myself and printed it out and had the wrong thing on my license. And that was me that done all that by and messed it up. I don't know how I'd done it, but I had done it. Yeah. So you hit purchase to make sure it's right. Another thing going to that like in a dove field, you know, we've got people that don't really hunt, but that haven't took their hunter's education course. If they're hunting in a dove field, they've got their license and everything. They need to make sure they're close enough to someone that is old age and that has went through all of it. Yeah. And we talked about a little bit that last time, but I just thought we'd get purchased the license without going through hunter education. It's like what you were saying there, you have to get the supervision only, which means you've got to be within somebody. Yeah. Yeah. I know you have to go up out there anyway. So that's how many more years age or older or a parent. Yeah. You just have to be close enough because it's close to that somebody that's that is lost. Yes. It does have that. You can do that, you know, but you got to be legit.

44:09I mean, really, if you're dove hunting, you're going to be sitting around bound. Right. So that would be okay. Sorry, here is he's going to be needing his next year. He would have had his. We're going to have to be getting a class before next year. We got to get him in a coach. Hopefully, hopefully, he can fit it in. You know, and I, that's one thing I love about where we go. Yeah. Also, he was able to do that when everybody was on stage. I also love to get out. He covered you. You know, I'm saying he enjoys out noise. Ted knows the importance of it. No kid. If they can work it in, they will. I'm sure they're I'm sure they're restricted on what they can and can't do with schools now as far as finding time to get somebody to come in there with all this required for them to do on their side. But anyway, let's see. We need to get. Go ahead. You know, I was just going to talk about we're talking about. Doug feels a little bit. Let's talk real quick about it. If I come out to check you, there's no need to be nervous. You know, especially if you went ahead and got your license a lot of times, people don't know what to do when we come around or freak out. The main thing is don't go fidget in with everything.

45:11Yeah. And don't be like, God, I go like running and high. Like, I can see you if you're in a field. If I come to check a field, and I start seeing somebody go, you know, fidget around or looking around, it makes me nervous. Yeah. Just keep, keep hunting. Don't shoot low birds. If we're there checking you, you know, sometimes I'll sit around and talk a little bit. And I'm like, hey, if you want to shoot, you should. Until then, don't make sure, you know, you kind of hold off. Don't go. You know, so some game wardens will want to take your gun. Yeah. Get it. All in real. Firstly, the way I do it and everybody's different is every gun is different. I learned a long time ago. When I first started, I grabbed somebody's gun and I'm, I look like an idiot. So now I just, you know, hey, keep your gun pointed to the side direction, unload it. I'm going to put two shells in the magazine that I want to make sure that that third one won't go. And I'll let them do it. Yeah. That's what you're going to hear from us. We're going to go. You tell us that sounds sweet, Taylor, right? You tell us. Yeah. We're going to check your losses.

46:13We're going to let you show us your birds. Yeah. And there's no need to be nervous. Hey, we're just there to check. You know, yeah. It's your journal. What's really important. So mine thinks keep your gun pointed to the side direction. Where all the field? Please don't shoot. Because I'm a lot taller than most people. So I want to be the person who wants to get it. Yeah. I've been trying to stay straight in here, so I can be, I don't want to, I'm about to buy a sauce. But you know, you're talking about, don't be nervous and you come for a field. I've really never been anywhere where I didn't think we were okay. But one time, years ago, I was little and one of our friends, he shows up. Well, there's a crew game, weren't we? I'm not a bunch. I don't know what was going on. I don't know. I mean, we were shooting a lot, but we all started shooting and that's why we were shooting a lot. Yeah. But they, you know, they, they show up and I don't know whether I see him over here. I'm, you know, shooting birds. So every has to look forward to anything. It's having a good time out here. I look back. I was like, hey, you've got to plug in that last thing. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, he starts checking. But I got tickled. I was like, the dude got up behind me. I mean, I didn't know that. I was just going to go on the, he was sitting on the, he was sitting on the, he was

47:13sitting by the little metal building. I was like, the dude got up behind me. I didn't know that. I was just going to go on the, he was sitting on the, he was sitting by the little metal building there. I was like, you got to pull. I said, yeah, let me. You can say for yourself. But anyway, it was just funny. You know, and it's humor sometimes when, you know, you don't realize how little you're paying attention when you're out shooting birds. You're stoning them right up somebody and tap on the shoulder. You could have slipped my leg. Oh, sometimes after we get the gun dove hunting, like you'll wake up that nice morning. Your neck will be sore from looking up to the sky. So, took us got a little dog right now, but I don't know how she's going to make it through the day of the heat. She runs in our yard after those months. She's a little boy can span your face. You don't start. I don't know if he's going to get the bird back from her. When she goes, I do. I think I, I don't know. I don't know if she's going to be able to go hunting. Yeah, I'm going to have to work. Oh, you got to take that dog. I'm going to take her, but do you, I just don't want to bust at somebody's heart. You know, it's going to be a lot of fun. I'm going to take her. But do you, I just don't want to bust at somebody's heart. You know, it's going to be alright, man.

48:13It'll be fine. Another thing real quick, why we talked about that, make sure you keep your birds there for a lot of times when we go, that is one thing that people do wrong in the field. They pile up the bird. Yeah. You're sitting before people and they've got all the birds. They keep your bird separate. Yeah. Unless you're on a really good shoot. Most time people don't. Yeah. But for our sake, when we come up to a field, hey, make sure you got your bird separate. Keep your hunt. We're four year old. You know, we understand that. Yeah. And I mean, the limit per person is 15 birds. 16 birds. 15 birds per animal. Yeah. Alabama. Alabama. Don't let him cover you for. No, no, no, no. This is Alabama. I think he's walking out of the house right here. So look, what? I saw some pictures a couple of weeks ago. I don't care. You don't have to tell where you were. Oh, man. You got a whole new. Just can't fish, man. And the kids look like they. Oh, man, we had a blast. So we, yeah, we didn't get my wife. She's a beach first. Okay. I grew up on the. And a muddy river, you know. Yeah. So we kind of.

49:13What Tennessee River is a little bit of a balance. So we, uh, we had one weekend four kids had to go to school. And we kind of on the. Last minute. Book a trip. And I'll tell you, I was. I never thought about it. I obviously this is just my. Now you think Airbnb. You could find a big anywhere. Yeah. Man, there's so many. And I'm. I'm. I'm gonna go to the community. My family is going to be. And a little private places like that. I'm on the Tennessee River and. Everywhere you go, and we found a little. BnB. A house right on the lake. He had her own dock. And, uh, man, we had a blast. Book that for just a couple days. Didn't know anything about the lake. Um, I mean, I've been on. We live, but it's for a fish in it. And then we had about 20 jugs. And. And. And we said we took brought a box of red worms. And we sit up there in through rooster tails and red worms off the dog. across the river that night. It was out some bugs. That was that's fun. Yeah, we had five over 20 pounds. Wow. One over 30 have I whipped y'all. Yeah, they got us. You know, I don't think you know, I'd love to say that I'm something

50:14Lee Fisherman, but we just hit it right and we had a blouse. Yeah. Oh, that's so we actually went to the city not too long ago. Yeah. And set some lines. Did you? And we said we said 48 lines. Yeah. Uh, and I don't know what this is going. What's that 48 lines? And we call a catfish. You probably heard about it. That thing was huge. What's it? It weighed for the sipsy. It weighed pretty close to 25 pounds. That's awesome. It was a big fire. And I was the one we had three people. We had four out of how many lines? Oh, out of 48 lines we had. I think we called we had three that we brought back. But it's still fun. It is. So we we said, yeah, we're setting bike lines and we also set, uh, and one of the deep holes. We set a, uh, uh, track line that had 16 hooks on it. And that's the one that we called it on well. We had, we went called a bunch of bram, which is my bike. It was wanting to catch you up.

51:16So we said, um, uh, we set this one in that real deep hole. I can't talk to him. But we said going down the river. Well, we pull up and in a, uh, a little 10 foot John boat and there's, there's, three, three bigger guys, you know, and then there's one kid. He's like, I don't know how old he is. Probably seven or maybe problem. So what you, uh, what do we get to, we didn't got a trouble. I went paneling up the river, you know, and we get to the first one. And, uh, it's a catfish. I mean, probably by the top pound. It got a little bit fired up, you know. Yeah. Well, we get up there. This is the last, we, we've got two catfish. You know, we get up there and, uh, I start pulling on, I'm the one that's pulling the lines. And then while I start pulling, I'm like, Hey, this thing's pulling on some. Let's go out into a log down there. No, I start pulling on a little more and that thing starts selling like, holy crap. And I tell a little boy, I was like, you better get ready. And he said, so I'd get to the back of the boat.

52:16And we get two people paddling. I start picking it up and we got a net. That's a pretty good size net. And we get the, hey, that, that thing, the thing about it is we, I start pulling it and it gets to the top and that hook is just barely hanging on you. And I go, no, you better get it. And he puts a bit net in there. And when he does, dude, he won't fit in the net. And he's like, oh, God. And where are that? It's a 10 foot John boat. And it's like leaning and rocking it. We don't both foot the boat over there one fish boy. Got him in. And it was, that was so fun. And I never thought in a million years I would catch a catfish that big on the Cimc. Yeah. You know, most counties in Alabama are littered with little creeks like this. That's what I love about, you know, Lux Plough North River, Stipstead. And you wouldn't think about it. Hey, no, that's just a big fish. I really don't have to deal with pressure. Yeah. But it is hard to compete with it. No, I'm not. I'm getting this. No, wait, we're only going to that. We only go once a year, typically, but we enjoy that weekend. And I don't know. It's a variety.

53:17Man, you can go catch a small mouth, large mouth, a strap, a catfish. You can catch, you can let's kid. Rail in a bunch of drums. Yeah. And I'll let them thing stink. But Sawyer and his buddy had a ball catchin' that was drum. Yep. Where's the last one? What got the mountains? We got the prairie. Then we got down south, then we got the beach. Hey, don't get any better. Oh, that's pretty good stuff. Flood, the next time we have you on, I'm going to let you call shots. You tell us what day you want to, you having opportunities to do it, it may be. You've got to be busy, man. So I'm not going to have to you. I don't know when it would be the best time. 54:17Because this dude's been able to travel and kill a lot of birds at different places. So that would be kind of interesting. It would make me feel good. Oh, all right. I'm going to put you on the spot here. I didn't tell you. Oh, man. But I need to know one more good core memory hunt story. We try to do this every time because I want to keep it grounded where people know why we're doing. I got one other thing after you do that. I want to solve a share like one dovehunt memory. But you can go ahead. I mean, that can be a year or so now or you can just wait and share. And you can make it up. We won't need it. No way, what man? Oh, man. If anybody's got one, y'all, y'all hit it up real quick because I'm having to think. As far as a dovehunt memory, my favorite one, man, you were with, you were. I may be four with a little four ten and pop all. Yeah, I ran bad came that never dovehunted wouldn't didn't have a gun, but he said on a little, you know, man, these guys, like I've talked about, they didn't complain about being too hot too cold.

55:19They could sit on the ground all day without the sun. And one of those little cloth fold out soos, just a little back thing on it. He was sitting there with them beside a corn crib is what it was. We were in the edge of a field and took a shot of dove and he probably remember it and he called on doves. We're going dovehunt. He was fired up. He was kidding doves and a little four ten. Yeah. Single shot four ten and the first time that he took a shot at a dove that they, he shot it and it drops. And my pop all man was sitting there and he just like, well, I'll be. And I said, yeah, man, and that was like for dovehunt and that's my favorite. I think that's all he could do. I'll favorite one. It's probably last year, you know, that's the first time gunner had ever went hunting with a dog and that was crazy because like that, it was an eye month's old when we went and that was like all the work that we'd put in from the time I got him when he was like ten weeks old to then it led up to it and he picked up every bird that I ever shot. And it was awesome. I know, but I know that sounds kind of great. You best.

56:20I'll remember you worked and he got it. I'll give you a recent one on one of my favorite. I've got, you know, a tiny little facing truth. Yeah, no, it ain't got to be dovehunt. I just thought it would be pretty good. Sure. You just, you know, I had to think about it for just a minute, but last year my, my middle daughter, she killed her first. She had killed a dove before. This was her first book and it was. It was. Yeah. Wow. And, and, but man, you know, one thing about her, she shows her emotion like, you know, some people reserve she, but that deer was tominating and, and we got to watch that deer. Come in, we're overlooking a pond and it made a big straight right there. And you could just, all you could see was the tree shaking. Yes. My little girl and she don't know, you know, she don't really have, I'm like. And when she found like we're in one of those plastic, she, I don't know they still have that. Yeah. She jumped up in the shoe. I'm, you know, what she finally saw the dog. I'm like, you know, she was so excited.

57:21And I think I've got it on beat. Yes. Shaking. Just seeing that. Oh, it's a body for the first time. And especially, especially, you know, it makes it more special. I was telling, we went to the good and ran a couple weeks ago. I could tell my that first time, exactly. Yeah. That's like there's new world for the first time. I'm a kid. Yeah. When we went to Texas, got to see those animals that we don't see here. Yeah, even though we're in a high fence, yes. Yeah. But just to see that stuff, that's like I told the guy when we were around, they're getting to see some of that stuff. I said, I would like to be him because he gets to see all those people who have never been in any place like that. But first, yeah, like he's talking about when they, when they, when they kill something, you know, if somebody gets lucky, he's like, they may be all sleepy, dragging around during the day. They go to that city. They're up. He said, the hunter tells them in the story, then the kid will tell them in the story, or the kid's the hunter, or the day in the day, it comes in. Then the guy, he's out there working. Then he comes in tells the story. So I really know the story. He's like, but it's awesome because they're fired up, you know?

58:23But the kid doing that, I can say that that's a good story. His daughter, he was, she enjoyed it. Oh, yeah. Hunter, she was, she was, she was going to manage it. Yeah, she was. She knows. I just, whenever we got there, hard and I had went to give you these vats, I'm shooting in there with us and that got talking to her and I was like, if I like, I don't like being in here, I don't like being here. And I was like, you don't like being here? She's like, no, I don't like being inside here. I like being outside, she'll and everybody around, you know? She wanted to just go ahead and get on, you know? All right. So let me give you a little on the dub. You asked for a story. I'm going to give you a thought rather than a story. Okay. I'm going to be changing the story. You know, well, you know, I'll change it. No way. I'm just going to take a look. Come on. So this is what I want to point out. You know, I, I sounds like you, you made this point a little bit ago, but I want to reiterate it. And we talked about how much time we put in our dub. Yeah. We're talking about your, your, your, your, your, and I, while I was in my family, I don't know if there's anybody in West Alabama or time on mine.

59:25And, and I, there's something about changing is the first change of the season. That was football is not in the play. You know, you're starting to see just you leave. Fall. There's something special about this time. And, you know, I get been out of shot. I love dub hunting. But at the end of the day, you don't, it's not about the dub. Yeah. It's really not. It is about that time of year. It's about being with those people that, that you enjoy being with. You know, I, I co-dead of Phil sometimes. I'll see people that can enjoy the hunt because they're worried about missing that dub. Yeah. Or they're worried about, you know, that can't hit nothing. Right. And they just, they totally missed the point and they totally missed the enjoyment of it because they're worried about looking silly or the fact they can't get a dub. It's not about that. I know. And I say people that go with, with, you know, their kids are growing up and they're so they want to kill their limit. Right. Or they want to shoot it. You know, they just kind of keep their kids to the side.

1:00:26I mean, and I look back at just just recently, you know, a few years ago, I took, took my daughter and she, I've got this teacher where she told me a little dub like that. That was the only bird we killed that day. But that was so special. Yeah. You know, it was such a hunt. So at the end of the day, it, it, as much as I love to kill a dub. Right. That's not about the dub. 100%. It is about the experience of being there with everybody. You enjoy being with you. There's about the change of that season. Yeah. It's about just, you know, going and enjoying the day together. And I know it sounds crazy, but the other day with me and my buddy was, I was helping him his flute. And we got this just sat down there talking. It's like, you know, when it's crazy to me that something, I just, after thinking about it, I was like, it ain't really that crazy. But it's like, you know, we got so many people come over here and come to a hunt. Some of them don't even shoot. They'll just come and sit. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, see, we just go over and watch him guys. Yeah. No kidding. That's what, that's what he's like, I man, he said we put in all this work and then they

1:01:26would come over here. But I don't even shoot. And I'm like, man, I like that they just enjoy coming and watch it. That's what I was going to say, you, you have that's the opportunity for people that I see throughout the community all the time that we don't hang out. They might be your buddy, your acquaintance. You know, but you don't have the time to hang out. You take one day. You may hunt. You know, on average, I probably hunt two times. I probably don't hunt twice. Yeah. three times, but you take a day where everybody's got the same goal. They want to go over and have a good time hang out and try to shoot some birds. And you're going to eat, but those guys, when they leave there, they're one month away from the same goals you have trying to go kill some deer, maybe with a bow, maybe a one later you can't deer. You're all the same people, man, just trying to have fun outside. And sometimes that's the only time you see those guys. No doubt. Right. Yeah. That'll mean they'll say some people and I just don't think we won't see again, but we see them every year at the end of the month. Yeah. That's pretty fun. Yeah. I just don't put so much stock into how many does it kill, you know, really try to let yourself go and enjoy the actual hunt and realize that it's

1:02:30about being out there with family. It's about, hey, you know, don't kick your kids to the side because you want to shoot a dove. Yeah. Since I'm pice up, we talked about with that little baby. How they they will remember that for the rest of their lives and it's something so simple. So enjoy the hunt. I want to enjoy the hunt and probably try to make the animal company some money. Because that's a, that's got to be their favorite day of the year with more non-associated, but it's because I'm shooting shells and not hitting anything. Most of the time I get look here and down in. I think I probably think I shot Tokyo last year but I ain't going to say anything about that. No, you did not. No, I mean, it's fun to do. And I'm excited. We're fixing to have dove season started and then I'll them. Then I'll buy them. Yes, and I'm in. I know this effect. Come over there the other day. Kurt, you got anything else you want to talk about today? No, I think that was the main thing is to enjoy the time and realize what's what's important. What you got. Yeah, no doubt. All right.
