The read is brought to you by Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Here's a news flash y'all, lawmakers are not medical doctors, which is exactly why they should stay out of our healthcare decisions. But the Trump administration and Congress passed a lot to defund Planned Parenthood, blocking patients with low incomes from wellness exams, cancer screenings, and essential services. Even worse, some lawmakers want to make the defunding permanent. Planned Parenthood is not backing down, but they need your help. Donate today at PlannedParenthood.org slash defend, because reproductive rights are human rights. Hey y'all, this fall, LL Bean is celebrating the moments people look forward to all year. The first school drop off, the first sweater weather day, uh, love me some sweater weather. And the first chilly evening around a fire pit or the oven. For over a hundred years, LL Bean has been part of these traditions, crunching leaves, and main made bean boots, cheering from the sidelines and Scotch plaid flannel and walking the dog in a rugged,
field coat. Grab the layers, Lord knows you're gonna need them. And grab the people you love, get outside, and feel comfy and cozy while you do it. Visit llbean.com to shop the fall collection. LL Bean, be an outsider. Welcome back, liars and friends, and other slurs. Hi folks, we're back. My name is Joe Marie Patons. And I am the legend, Lisa Leslie. And this is the read. Thank you for joining us.
It is. And thank you. Lisa Leslie. Yes, you know, she is truly an icon and she just got a statue. Outside of the almost hit. Well, yeah, it is the sparks arena. Fuck it. Work. Cause fuck that. And I love it because first of all, it looks good. And she was like, now y'all know, I had to go with I had to go over there and check on them people because I could not have her looking like a linebacker. And I was like, thank God. And it's in color, which I almost never see. What? Yes. Well, it's not like, it looks like a statue obviously, but like she has lipstick and nails and like the jersey is colored. Like it looks so good. It looks so good. And she's dunking. So no, yes, it looks so, so good. Oh, yeah, this is gorgeous. Right. I've never seen a statue like this. I don't think it was just unveiled. It's new world. Right. It looks really good. So. Yeah, it's beautiful.
Shout out to the artists who collabed on it and shout out to her. She is truly a pioneer in women's basketball and a real legend. So yeah, I just love that she's done. And she was also the first woman to dunk in a W and B a game. So this is very appropriate. And Naka Guamake is about to retire. And she's another one who's going to be right like as soon as she's eligible for, you know, the hall of fame, she going to be in that hall. And I won't be shocked if she has all other kind of accolades and things like this celebrating her achievements as well. Madam President, we will miss you, girl. We will. I don't know who's going to take it up. Oh, because she didn't end up. Naka did. And she was like, the thing about being a leader is that you have to like represent people who would not represent you. You have to take up for people who would not take up for you. And I was like, that's exactly why I couldn't do it. Don't ask me to lead shit. Because if anybody don't like me, you can get fucked.
I'm very very solid. She's so mature. Yeah. She is so mature. I agree with both things. It says on ESPN, they still can't afford me. That Leslie statue was created by Omri Amrani and Julia Roblet. I'm running. Love that. Maybe a couple, maybe siblings. I don't know. I don't know. But yeah, thanks for bringing this to my attention. This is fierce. I know she walked up. It was like, yes, it looked so, so good. I'm really glad. Because, somebody statues, the way, did you see the way, wait, oh, well, you're a might, you cover the Miami heat. Of course, I've seen that one. Let's say positive and let's say, okay, okay. And we're actually going to keep it basketball because this week's Black X lenses are going over to a little known person by the name of Angel Reese. Oh, yeah, never heard of her.
You know, just on the cover of Vogue, I have that one too. She's the first player in WMBA, history to grab 500 rebounds in a single season. Oh, man. Now, granted, this is a longer season than what the girls have had before, but still you can't deny the Barbie. I love Angel. I do. And the way they tried to clown her for all her rebounds, they called it me bounce. Because a lot of the time she's getting her own rebound, but like if it was that easy, then every fucking body would do it. But she turned around and started selling me bounds, March. Like, you can't stop that, demon. Like, so what you're going to do is you're going to grab both. Give a big, big issue. Can't muster. God, I love her. So she was, um, the dreamer playing the sky. And it says that she had 495 rebounds at the time. So she only needed five. And then she ended the game with 23 points, 10 rebounds. Jesus. That is that girl. And this is only like her third second or third year in the league, baby.
Whew. Things are looking good. They are. They are. She's so cute. I love her. They just did a fever. It's still putting out World Cup, uh, social media footage. And this last video was like, who on the team would you hire to be your wedding planner? And Angel was like none of these hosts. None of these bitches could be my, are you kidding? Angel Reese's wedding is going to be the most dripped out, you know, if she ever does decide to get married, that is going to be the most expensive shit you have ever seen. She was like, unfortunately, none of you girls in your DIY. It'll be Chanel. Good. She brought it in mind. Thank you so much. Excuse me pardon me. I'm not trying to have on a Dickie's wedding dress. So I'm actually going to get a professional. Dickie, you took it back. Girl, the doll suited up top bottom. So it's as well. Just reminded me of my
second girlfriend. Wow. Wow. Of course, that was the reference. Um, um, shout out to the baby girls. Uh, we're going to move right ahead into our pop culture. So I'm going to just call it hot tops. And we're going to keep it on the little basket of all seats. Okay. I love this to be very delightful. One Stephen Adams, who's Houston rockets. Yeah. Had a quote after a game that I found simply delightful. He said that you can expect this November for performance. Oh my god. League Y because GTA number six will be available. And I've never heard anything truer. This man said, I'll say you guys should anticipate November the performance of the league league. Why GTA is dropping. So look at NFL, look at the leagues and watch them plummet mate. Oh, I guess he's not from here. Just for the month
of November, before this is going to go down. Love that. You should come back up coaching as well. That means I said coaching as well, you know, it's performance because trade will be on the stage. Listen, and I believe that to be right. But it shouldn't be. Y'all are multi millionaires. A video game should not take precedent over your fucking job. Excuse me. The video game. This video game is going to do stupid numbers. It's going to be gross. Well, no, I understand that. I mean, because we looked it up last week, two weeks ago, and I was like, oh, not this being like, all yeah, we did. I'm playing video game all the time. Right. So my bad, but you think it's our very rich. Put the damn game down. I don't want to hear you can take. Yeah. I'm actually really fascinated by this. I hope somebody does the numbers. Can I believe him? Yeah, I saw that clip too. And it was hilarious. It was like, I'm telling y'all right now come November, go in it and go
under on them parlays because we're not going to be showing it. Oh, yeah. No, we in it. Okay. He's from he's from New Zealand. Oh, that's not in it. I'm I cannot fucking wait for Grand Theft Auto 6. I'm so sorry. Like I'll all year. I was like, rock star. I'm going to buy it. You've never ever flopped. You've never like missed. So whatever, but if you expect me to be high, I don't know what to tell you, you haven't showed us a fucking. I know it's set in the vice city at K. A Miami. I know that the playable characters are a couple with some like body Clyde, money and Clyde shit, which I love because there's never been a female character playable as a lead in Grand Theft Auto. Oh, wow. Like you can make a female character if you play a grand Theft Auto online and stuff. But like a main character in the stories first time that a woman's been playable. Yeah. And I'm probably if they allow you to play as one or the
other the whole game, which they probably want. You know, I'm picking old girl. I'm going to the beauty shop. I'm getting them braids. I started a picture. Oh my god. And I'm blasting everybody. I'm riding down ocean and I'm doing what I wanted to do my whole life. Get out. Okay. Okay. You know what? And y'all are going to have a great time with it. It's no. Oh, I spray you bitch. And see. I'm kidding. Listen, no, but here's the thing. I'm so excited because I'm going to show it on Netflix. And I was like, this looks like like I know where I'm going. They're going to wear Peter Thomas restaurant. Used to be where her tribe. But they're going to have one time I seen a fight over, you know, somebody has been. Yeah. Okay. Well, yeah, we talked about and you asked me like, what if it's young Miami radio? And I accepted that you did since then. I've seen
they have GTA 6, the album, I guess. I think you can even pre-roar. I think they're getting a little what? Yeah. But they're calling it GTA 6, the album girl. Okay. 34 original tracks. Baby cakes. When I tell you, I didn't see none of the girlies. Yes. Breath of water like zero women. No, I'm at like bitch on Miami. Oh, okay. Yeah. Okay. I feel like Travis Scott was on it. Um, track list. I like girl. I'm gonna be a solid break. It's on Apple music. Here we go. Travis Scott, future Metro women, young lean. Young. Oh, this is what plucked me. Morgan Wallen is on it. Yeah. What's up all the people?
Morgan's. That's what pissed me off. Yeah. It's 34 tracks on here. And one, two, three, four, five, six of them are shown that I guess if you listen to them, all the other ones are not, you know, they say unknown to the album. Come on. November 19. Gotcha. But I looked at the like six that were available. I'm like, okay, for it again. Thanks. I hate it. And then I see Morgan Wallen. I'm like, wow. Yeah. Just want to piss me off. Well, I wasn't gonna listen to this album no way. So that's fine. I also assume I assume though they have Morgan Wallen or whatever this song will be on the games radio station. But none for me. Thanks. Um, hopefully I can let you make a playlist like the other game and I can just take whatever songs I don't like out. But anyways, I thought this quote to be funny and very honest and also told me that Mr. Adams, similarly, similarly to me say don't call me.
Yeah. I'm sorry. It's me that we showed up to practice with bagged eye blood shot. No, dying dehydrated. Let me look up Steven Adams contract. Think twice brother. He said coaching too. Everybody but the owner. Three here, $39 million. Boy, if you don't put that goddamn game down and bring your ass to work. Right. Right. But they will be funny. It will be actually be hilarious because that'll be peak football season. It will be hilarious if football players start falling off because of this day. I would love it. Shannon Sharp says that sports agents are not having their clients go on his nightcats. Podcasts or club Shasha because of his opinion or outspoken opinion on Israel and Palestine.
What? Yeah. Basically he said that the night cat podcast has been, you know, doing really well. It's been blowing up. They have Joe Johnson on the pod. I guess regularly now. And they've been trying to have other athletes come in and join conversation which makes 10,000 percent sense. But he claims that because of him speaking out, similarly to Maclamore, when speaking out against what's going on in Palestine and state of Israel and stuff that, yeah, the agents are trying to been trying to blackball him and his podcast because of that. Yeah. I mean, I would have thought it was the sexual assault. Yeah, that's what I thought. First, when I clicked on it. I'm shocked that it's because he's pro-Palestine. Like, are you sure, brother? Maybe that's just what they tell you. I mean, but like sports industry turning their back on sexual abuse. Right. They don't really do that. The show wants to get a job.
But criticizing Israel, yeah, we'll get you down in a bin. I mean, yeah, I guess so. Well, Shannon, the thing is, I would feel sorry for you, but you don't seem like a good person. There's that. It is really the headball. That's the bumper sticker, bitch. Yeah, I just don't. I forgot about that rape case. Just last year. I have a forgotten you. So, right, right? Like both of you. Actually, kind of. Come out there. I mean, I hate that if, if true, ridiculous, right, however, I had a similar opinion. Yeah. Sorry, bro. That sucks. Sorry, bro. Rolling loud California is on the way. I don't know. No, it's not the first one is definitely. Oh, to your hiatus. That makes sense. Oh, okay. I blame Drake. Can you imagine if Drake did the club say, she think it was like not on my watch. They must not have a rolling well.
I'm just okay. What? What? Right? Imagine like nobody of hip hop has any say on this. They're making a rolling loud movie starring Owen Wilson. I want to die. Owen Wilson. Any like 48? Wow. Yes. I mean, but they're doing the like, you never saw trap, but I definitely criticized it. Remember that a while ago when I criticized that M Night Shyamalan movie where Josh Hartner plays a serial killer. And then that one black man in the movie tells him that they're, they're like doing a sting or trapping this serial killer in a arena. Remember, I read them. I'm like, what black person would ever tell a random white man that came up? This whole thing is a set up and the fans are here trying to catch a serial killer. No, nigga would do that. Yeah. Okay. Well, if you worked out a merch table, you would not even know. So that made no sense. Rolling loud, the movie seems like it's similar to that.
Where Owen Wilson, oh, why they ask is taking his little white child to go to rolling loud. There we go. I was like, man, that's a good man. Lost and ends up on stage and he's high with Travis Scott. I'm like, are you guys for real? He's actually 57. Wow. Really? Yeah, I'm shocked. There wasn't an old black actor that could have had the same role. This is what I'm saying. Rolling, I just would have never thought Owen Wilson and rolling loud. You know, like I just would have never, I could have, it would have been easier to see this as a black father and son, especially because he's in one of these movie posters. I'm looking at he's like hugging or doing something with a nigga. So it's like, what is it supposed to be a performer? Like, I don't know. I guess I'm just confused about the cast. It's the Valhalla on stage thing gives me a goofy movie. We're goofy accidentally. Yeah. Anaproze in our line. Yeah.
So like stealing from other black actors, it's just, all right. Cause goofy and they're black. No, I don't. We've accepted it. Everybody acknowledges it. Except Monet exchange. Now, what? Yeah. What happened? Like rivalry. Bob and I had to convince Monet. That movie was black. Movie is a black movie, but she never seen it. Oh, well, I was, you know, right. She was like, black is going to watch a no goofy movie. Oh, that's where you're all. Girl, I was like, excuse me. Monet. No, man. I think you wanted a white blue. What are the white things on production was like, no, absolute. There's a black. Yes, yes. It's what it is. When I was in sixth grade, the homies was torn. Yeah. Anyway, that's what that Rolling Loud movie gives me. Anyway, that's not why I was bringing
us up. It's just every time I think of Rolling Loud, loud now, I'm going to think of that. The bright side is I'm never going. It is the part of my life or my my life. Never going. I'm never going. So how much offense can I take? Yeah. You know, and that's so valid. Like, I'm not unless somebody flies me out first class and I'm in, like air condition VIP VIP VIP, you know, room to sit and private clean bathrooms and all that, which takes away from the festival experience entirely. That would be the only way I went. It's a pride thing. So I'm like, I don't go if it's nothing like a festival. I got a big thing. What? Britney Griner is there with you too. Like, is she going to Rolling Loud? Well, since we have a, I mean, look, if we make an a wish list, why not? Because let me tell you what I heard. This is alleged, alleged, alleged, not confirmed. I heard. So this is rumors and gossip that
Britney's wife cheated on her. And that's why Britney was the one who filed. That's what I heard. That's what I heard. Let me sit my Evian. I thought today that she seeking a spouse's support or whatever. Well, I would have expected that anyway because I mean, girl, come on married and now not plus y'all have a baby together. So I would have expected that anyway. But that's what I heard as unsubstantiated for all I know, somebody pulled that out. They asked, but that's what I heard. I would never drink. Oh, nobody who was six eighths. That's just me. That's ridiculous. No, it is so stupid, but I am so fero. Where would you find the time? They can see every minute. Like, hello, I spent all my day climbing you. All right, let's get back to the point. This is that Rolling Loud is coming to California after two years. And I only want to bring this up because I look at the lineup. And I think like,
Ace of Rockies had lining one day. Interesting. He's nice from here. And playboy Cardi, I think, is had lining the next day. Everything on rap sheet of horrible behavior. Right, right. But the third day is just Pesso Bluma. Like, I don't know if I've ever seen a festival where one artist with the holiday. But this is a Mexican artist. He's a singer writes music. I think it might be a producer too. Because I'm really looking at it up. Like, who? I've never heard of this. You know what Los Angeles gifts. Oh, yeah. Rolling Loud said just him. Like, wow, we had he can just have a day because anybody out here going to give a fuck about nothing else. Wow. I live. Oh, I it really is just him. I'm in the DJ and that's it. He's a huge artist. Like, globally. I'm so amazed. Yeah. This is
put that in being a Mexican superstar on top of it. I'm actually really, really interested in how that show is going to go. Because I feel like the motherfuckers are going to have a bullast and we could use it. We could fucking use it. I'm saying, I'm forgotten about them rates. Oh, yeah. Well, no. And they're flipping everybody or attempting to. They really shoved everybody else in them first two days. They said, listen, shut up. I mean, they said Rocky YG sexy red Larry June Boss Man, D-Law, all of them. They can't. Absolutely. Everybody. DDG are y'all for real. Does DDG make real music? Like, let's be for real. Real in the sense that like it has a melody. I get well, okay. Real in the sense that like, technically, I think you would call them songs. And okay. Okay. Oh, this says paste. So
plume is Mexican Lebanese and Palestinian. Yeah. Work. Hassan Emilio Cabanday Leia. My bad if I mispronounce that. But wow, beautiful name. I've never heard of this person. I'm actually ashamed. This is like that bunny all over again. I mean, he's, yeah, he's just one of those artists that like, I think the first time I heard of him and I don't remember where or what song. I maybe I was just combing through Spotify, that music like I always do. And I found a song by him that I really liked and looked him up and I was like, oh, this is getting like bad bunny to you. It's like, I'm the lame and loser here. Yeah. Yeah. That's how I felt when it really clicked. And I think it was, he did a show that was entirely in Spanish. And I can't remember if it was in Puerto Rico or in the US somewhere. But it was something like that where I was like, okay, so this bad bunny must really be something. Probably knew your, because I'm not the one
of you shot in New York City. Yeah. Yeah. So I'm late to the party, but shot at baby, all your own day at Rolling Laugh. Yeah. You are that girl. They'll be camped out overnight waiting on you. This would be in San Bernardino, which I think is not howdy folks. This podcast is being brought to you by Squarespace. My favorite space is with Squarespace. think they should probably be in another cartoon. Chris Brown is complaining again. He says, I didn't read this because I figured let's just do it here. I'm tired. Okay, let me look it up, Chuck. Chris Brown. Complaining. Let's come right up. I'm bet it's the first. Chris Brown demands proof after journalist claims. He is actively abusing women. Is that what you're talking about? No, that's a different complaint. Oh, okay. Well, it gives like a day or so after. Gotcha. Okay. Okay, so he's on his Instagram stories. I believe he's using a cursive format that they have here, which is interesting because can he ride in cursive? Can he ride in cursive? Honestly, hey, if you're under 30, can you ride in cursive, please let us know? Yeah, answer. Because they, y'all, y'all legit need to know it. If only so you can read
old ass documents that are exclusively written in cursive. Then you have to read. Well, we got to start with being able to read period. And then we can graduate to read in cursive. But yeah, I don't, I legit don't think they even teach it no more. No, they even teach writing. These kids came hardly right. All they do is tight and skipping. That's what I'm saying. Like all they'll have to do with those older documents is just take a picture and ask you at GPT. What does this are? Okay. All right. You know, you just depressed me. So it doesn't make me sad. So you know, depressing Chris Brown says, I'm not your friend. I'm not your buddy. Also, this is the centered. Um, what do you call it? The lining or the alignment? Yeah, the alignment. Thank you. It's centered. Okay. Which I found. Okay. I'm not your friend. I'm not your buddy. I don't like the majority of you. I don't want your approval. I don't want your fake love. I hate the music industry. I don't
want to participate in the circus. Now Chris, we were on the same page for the first couple lines here because I'm not your friend either. I've never considered you a buddy. And I'm like, you either. And I also think you should go ahead and step right on out of the music industry. If you hate it so much, it is optional. You do not have to do this. Feel free to go do something else. Any. What do you even mean? Okay. But who is he talking to? What do you mean you not? I'm not y'all friend. It's just to the world that in general. Yeah, he does. It's like twice a year. Okay. Oh, yeah. That's where he's like, I hate everybody. And I don't get to talk about you. I do what I want. Okay. This is latest. And you know, honestly, you know why fucking blame? I'm going to show up to the the concert dressed like Raven backstair. Just give me a good. Raven with thought. Don't do Raven.
Oh, yeah. Yeah. You know what? Yes. Because everybody is talking about Chris and bringing up all of the things he continues to do. And yeah, yeah, you right. It's Jasmine and that man who have it at other legislators was. Yep. I agree. I don't want to participate in the circus. I am the circuit. All right. He did not say that. It's like sometimes God be like, okay, girl, calm just like don't get to calm down. If it doesn't benefit my children, I don't need it. You will no longer be able to be around me. Fuck being humble. Okay. So maybe he's talking to actual people. He got to be. He got to be. You got to be because what the regular regular average person already came be around you. Some of them on the shader of say him and usher go fall out by the end of this story. I wouldn't be surprised. I actually would not be surprised.
I don't think I'd be surprised by that either. Fuck being humble. Fuck your agenda. Fuck your narrative. Fuck how you feel. I don't like none of you celebrities. Got it. Who pissed them off? Be on say. Girl. Well, man, man, somebody did something. Well, he don't like Jay-Z. Jay-Z does not like him. Well, there we go. I am the, but that couldn't be about this because one day they ever mentioned you were thinking about your ass. This feels like very much. Maybe it happened privately and somebody told Chris like, oh, your name came up and Beyoncé was like, look at that dumb ass little back flipping ass co-head. And he got. Why did you think that? I'm trying to think of which celebrities have like publicly criticized him over the past couple. But it might not be public. Right. Right. I'm only thinking of someone important.
You'll never get off his neck. Is our license for nae rap? They ate that nigga. And they're not going to stop talking about it. They're not. They're not going to stop talking about hating him. Especially when I ask, they're not going to shy away from me. Right. But it's not like they're the only two celebrities that do it. It's plenty of celebrities that are just like, oh, no. Okay, Chris. Don't see it. This gives me it is someone that he fucked with. Or he's. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He's saying, I don't want to y'all around me. So it gives me the sense that like, it's someone who is in some proximity to him or. Yeah, somebody heard his feelings. Yes, someone heard his feelings. Oh, Chris. Is giving Drake seeing LeBron dancing and not like a. Yeah. I am sad. Not you. New York. Not you.
He couldn't believe it. But yeah, LeBron don't give it to him. He probably did not give him. And oh, just bopping around. And he got too much money to care about your feelings. So okay, Chris, well, somebody I get it. Somebody heard your feelings. Oh, my gosh. I am the best hands down. Okay. So I'm going to media. I'm on that type of timing. He's got no caps now. Oh, girl, now I'm thinking this is about Russia. You know what? Actually, yes. The. I'm the best hands down. I'm the king. Not a single artist on this planet can fuck with me on my worst day. Oh, yeah. They know it. I'm tired of being nice. Fuck your opinion. I'll be the villain. And here's my issue with this, right? Countless individuals will agree with him openly. And I feel like at some point, y'all got to step up to the plate and take accountability here.
Not a single artist on this planet can fuck with me on my worst day. Okay. And you will agree with him. We Christopher needs medication if he truly believes that. Girl, baby cakes. Real bad, actually. Because what do you mean? Your music's not that great. It just isn't. You have a die hard. I mean, die hard. Then bitches will not perish fan base. And a lot of them are locked in because they think you're cute or they've liked you since they were eight or exact. They also beat women or they don't care about women or they don't care about like, or they're the type to get defensive over, you know, somebody they like being criticized. Like those are your fans. They don't care how shit your music is, Chris. They're going to support you regardless for all those other reasons. I said the exact same thing to one of my friends last week. I'm like, his die hard fans, which keep him afloat in a way that is indescribable.
Mm-hmm. Yeah. His die hard fans are people who find him attractive and have found him attractive since they were like 12. Yeah. And straight into who ain't shit. Yes. Yes. And then there are many of them. And they are and there's a lot of people who fit that description. So yeah. I mean, and you can dance. I'll give it to you. You're entertaining on that stage, but your music's not good for you to be like not a single artist on this planet can fuck with me. Baby, everybody in my Apple music can fuck with you on your worst day and easily beat your ass on your best. So that's that is going to be a no. But I think you're right. I think this is about usher something happened. And usher had to kind of put his dick on the table like little nigga. You need to remember who I am. And Chris was like, oh. It's just the being around me portion. It's the slip. Yeah. And it's the I'm the king. No other artist can fuck with me.
Yeah. Okay. I think you're right. I do. And because usher, usher's also messy and problematic. But usher knows well enough to stay off the goddamn internet with all that. So while Chris is throwing a tantrum usher somewhere stretching and I don't know. Lighting his aromatherapy like, okay, I got a show to do though. So anyway, he's in what do you call it? Happy baby. Happy baby. No, it's called that yoga pose. Child's pose. Happy baby pose. Oh, well, I don't know the one where you're left. Where you're going. I don't yoga. So let me look it up. A goofy baby pose. Oh, that's the one where you stretching. Could put your whole tail out for the world to have. Yeah. Happy baby poses. Lani at dicker. Yes. Getting hard pushing a bow to other dog. Yeah. I should say I don't have time for this. I'm listening to my my oral beats.
Creating a mood in this bitch. Right. Janelle, you go for the coming here and do her soundboats. Why don't I have time for that? You like her in a song with Kendrick? Her song. Oh, I like her album overall. Yeah. I do. I like Janelle. And she got me on the very first track when she said I was raised by Wild Niggas. So unfortunately at times, my upbringing will come out. Yeah, I agree. Christopher Brown needs like, he needs a cocktail. He needs an I'm not an alcohol cocktail. I mean, I'll admit it's medication. He needs eye movement, desensitization, and reprocessing. He needs rehab. Probably. Probably so. Probably. You know what? He's looking fuller these days. Not as God. Well, you know, when you perform, you do kind of have to stay relatively sober with all the
movement and stuff he does. Um, I would think, because Chris Brown is like, what, 35 now? He's pretty old. You can't just be drinking like that. He's a JoJo. Oh, for a second, I forgot alcohol is not the only drug. I forgot what that white girl do for you. Never mind. Yeah, never mind. Yeah. Anyways, I read this and I'm like, oh my god, Chris, another tantrum. Like, I don't know. It's, you know what, like you fucked up the trajectory of whatever career, whatever your career would have been. And I want you to know and understand tonight that you could have, you could have voiced them up it. You could have been best, like you could have ended up with a completely different track altogether. You were at, you're performing it. Disney, everybody loves you. I would still not agree that there is
a single artist on this planet. Like, that is just not your tip. I just wanted to understand it. It's just something. You could do black back flips. And you have songs in your catalog that are loved. Do you have songs in your catalog that I like? You have not released a body of music in a while that I think has been relevant to anybody. I don't think even like, outside looking in, I don't, I can't think of an album of yours that all cross, like without bias. Like, no, this is some good shit. It's been a very long time. So I think that you, there's like this deflected guilt. Is that probably it? It's like, you feel guilty. You know that you kind of fucked up what you believe. Your chances would have been. And you deflect a lot and get mad at the industry. And even sometimes your own fans for not getting the numbers that you feel like you should have gotten.
Right. Rather than just being like, why don't you look in the world? You know, at a certain point, we do have to examine ourselves and our behaviors and the way we treat people and the way we fuck it. Like this. Chris is 37 and it seems like that moment of introspection has still not hit him. But it's like, what else do you have to go through for you to think, hmm, maybe the problem is me. Maybe I should grow up. Like maybe I should mature a little bit. When you have like countless people across the globe who we're going to put a battery in your back and tell you that nobody, like Michael Jackson could need. And you know what I'm saying? Keep money running down your throat. Why would you? Yeah. Why would you? Right. Why would you?
Oh, Christopher. Fuck your opinion. I'll be the villain. It's how you end it there. When haven't you been? This is... I feel like you do announce that twice a year. Fine then, everybody hates me. Fine. I'll be the bad guy. You do that all the time. And you also continue to be the bad guy. You can just... You don't even have to say it no more, baby. We know. This is not new. See, this is what I was talking about. They have literally been bashing him since the Rihanna thing, trying to break in. Are you... Is that... The way he tried to break her face? Right. Like, are you being... Is that ironic? Are you trying to be funny? You realize what you said? They were kids. It's not just Rihanna. And we've said this for years. It hasn't been just Rihanna since it was Rihanna.
I don't understand why y'all are so stupid. Yeah, yeah. Just like the fucking music. Just like the artist. Just go to the show. But trying to justify it to the rest of us, like, we crazy for pointing out that this nigga is an overgrown toddler in a grown man's body who don't know how to fucking act is insane. Just like him if that's what you want to do. This is, yeah. Stop lying to me. Like, stop leaving me alone about the nigga. Because I... People are not... When you speak for myself. I'm never going out of my way to... To Bash, Chris Brown. I prefer not speaking about him. I prefer not hearing about him. But the buck has to stop somewhere. And it's gonna stop at us propping up abusers. Especially abusers who have not shown any form of change,
rehabilitation, knowledge, growth, or the desire to have any of those things. Yes. Yes. When people see folks like Jasmine Baxter, go up on stage and say, let's put this bitch in like... Yeah, people are gonna say that's wild. Because it just worries me that y'all are so blatantly open and stupid, especially like women, black women. Yeah. What's going on? What's going on? Because damn near... But you know, I don't know the numbers. But many of not most of us know someone who was a victim of domestic abuse. Yes. Oh yes, it's actually extremely common, sadly. So why are we like... The image on a break, since Rihanna... You were there is the problem. So I got to... Wait. And y'all act like Chris did a complete 180 after Rihanna's.
What I'm saying, girl. Did not. He's been the same shithead this whole time. So you can lie to yourself all you want to, baby girl. But you do gotta leave me out of it. How you make us out of off of the lies that you tell yourself. Just like it. Just like it. Just like it. I'm not even trying to throw a mile top cocktail at your face for enjoying whatever bullshit it is that you enjoy. So, but leave me alone to stop lying. Right. Leave me alone to stop lying. Especially when a dog wants to pop out and be like, well, fuck all your bitches in fact, because I am the dog. I will always be the dog. And you can get missing if you don't agree with it. And I don't understand why you bitches always talking to me. I didn't ask for your love or your congressional records. I didn't ask to be the baddest bitch with supple breasts. And so, well, all you bitches... It's like... Yeah, okay. Well, hmm. And you don't have an anger issue.
All right. Speaking of Rihanna, Jocelyn Hernandez told Shadon Sharp that Asep Rocky called her Rihanna's evil twin. But they're various. Unfortunately, that is hilarious. It's really, really fun. No, because I can see it actually. So did you set it up like, I, if you squint? So when I first read this, this headline, I was like, this is ridiculous. Jocelyn Hernandez, okay. He's trying to be funny. And then I looked and I was like, if I squint... Yeah, yeah. Asep, why would you say that in the group? She said, you know, I just see her helping in Perry. Well, I feel my her big issue. He was like, you're the honest evil twin. I would like me? Why I got to be the evil twin? I was cracking up because I was like, why am I the evil twin? Yeah. Pack your bag. Actually, just said that he loved us. Asep, that she loved me.
My hub and that she would really fuck with us and stuff like that. But that's how she sound. You're going to hell. I'm a good dancer. I did. My first thought was, why would she be the evil one? But her girl, I'm also like, you know, people just be talking. So... Yeah, I think he was just saying something. Yeah. I'm sure that Rana does actually like Josh. I'm sure. Yeah. She said, people do say I look like her. I think she's gorgeous. I think we give some of the same vibes. She's balanced with you. I want to watch the clip. She seemed like she was being a little resistant, a little hesitant. When she said that, people do say I look like her. Well, because, you know, you gotta be careful. She just agreed, but it was like she didn't... Like, I'm not the one who's saying that. Right. So before y'all try and say anything cute, I do think you give some of the same vibes. For like, you and girls. But...
Yeah, I see you too. You gotta be careful when you compare yourself to somebody who is like... universally considered to be extremely gorgeous. You're doing... Remember when Hottie said all her friends said she looked like Beyonce? Remember. Remember one of the biggest pop culture... One of the pivotal moments of my life. Beyonce? Beyonce? Beyonce, sweetie. I am so sorry. I am so sorry, and ugly. Like this would even say. Bitch, you look like Luther van Dross. And anyways, let's move on. Okay. Okay. So Cheney was on Jason Lee's podcast or show. And Jason asked him how many kids he has. He has three kids. And Cheney was like, I actually have four kids. And Jason was like, why we know about the two girls and we don't know anything about the boys.
And Cheney was like, well, you know, my youngest son, Isaiah Russell Bayley, like he's a real successful actor out here. You know, he's doing this thing and did the stuff like that. I think he, I don't know what he said about the other side. But... Oh, look at that baby. Oh, what is 19? Well, he's doing like Disney... I think he's in Zootopia or something. Okay. Did you get to? Gotcha. Um, well, after this, young Isaiah posted an iOS press release. Actually, this is not iOS. That's right. It's all got into pages. I've stayed quiet about my relationship with my father because I've never felt the need to share that aspect of my life publicly. But ever seen his comments, I feel compelled to speak for myself. One of my biological fathers shared is not an accurate representation of our relationship. Saying something publicly does not make it true. You cannot rewrite years of absence and neglect or lack of involvement
with a few paragraphs about love, support, and being there for your child. I know what my childhood and my relationship with my father actually looked like. I know who was present and who wasn't. I know who supported me and who didn't. And to be clear, the claims while my mother are completely false, she did not manipulate me into disliking my father. A parent doesn't have the turn of child against someone who was already absent. My feelings are my own. And they come from my own experiences. My career is not a part of the story either. I worked diligently and tirelessly for what I have. The people who genuinely supported me know the sacrifices I and my mother had to make. As well as the setbacks and work that went into getting here. What bothers me is the blatant attempt to present an image to the public that doesn't match reality while implying that I somehow share that version of our relationship. I do not. I will not expose every private detail of our relationship just to win any argument on the internet. But I also want to allow someone else to speak for me. Tell people how I feel or use my name or my mom to create a false picture of a non-existent relationship.
I know the truth and the people who were actually there know it too. I've said what I need to say and I won't be speaking on this again. So I saw comments from some people because Chingi has a lage to that. His mama is this boy's mama is manipulative. Doing the very, very, very common thing that Debbie Fathers do, which is placed blame on the person that raised the child. He spoke out but some people were like, well girl, all he did was say that she was successful actor out here and that she was doing your thing. I don't understand why you dragging and doing all this other stuff. I don't know. I'd be forgetting Chingi's life. Don't. So I can. If you didn't raise me. Let me jump bring me a. Shut the fuck up when it come to me actually. I fully get it. First of all, that's a very,
I'm surprised at how mature that statement is coming from somebody who's 19 years old, which leads me to believe that Isaiah was better off without Chingi being around, even though he deserved to have a present, active, good father. And it probably hurts all the more because it's not like Chingi has had a career over the past 20 years. So like, why weren't you raising your damn key? Where the fuck have you been? It's not like you was busy. Where the fuck is you at? People like we blame, um, what's your name? I just want to drill Sydney star. Why? I don't be well because people don't have sense. Okay. Cause Sydney star is not his mama, not the boys mama. Sydney star is the one who said that she slept with him. The trans girl. Yeah. Yeah. But how, what do they have to do with your raising your son? Exactly. So Nick is just to talk people will say that. Because people don't have fans. Yeah. But I could, I could agree with you. When Emma asked you, well, why do, why we hear about the girls and not about the boys?
You should have said, well, hasn't been in the boys lives or something. Well, just be like, oh, well, let me just go ahead and name this one's accomplishment. Yeah, he doing big things or whatever. I would feel the exact same way. Don't talk about me. Right. Unless you're going to say, you're going to answer the question. Right. Yeah. The question was, why have we not heard about them? Because I did not raise them. And that was my failure as a father and something I can never take back or fix. You said that she like, well, Disney would have told you. Like you then said, why why are you having you reach out to? Yeah. Yeah. Someone over at Disney or Pixar or anyone of these places. Right. To told you about my son. But what do you talk? They probably don't even know. And I don't even want to hear nothing about all his mama was manipulative. It kept him from me and told him all this stuff because did you ever once file for a joint custody of this boy? Did you ever once ask for vegetation? Did you ever petition the courts one time about this little boy? One time. Did that lady actually get in your way or did you just not ever give a fuck enough to actually try?
Because men who want to be involved in their children's lives, like you and Link. They will move heaven and earth to being their kids' lives. A court date ain't nothing if it means that I get to see my baby. Like it's just, you know, not a priority for you. And that's really shitty of you as a parent, but you gotta sit with that. That's the choice you made. Again, while you were doing nothing, I have not, I have not heard a chingy says, nunchelin and all the name. Like it's literally been that long. That was more recent than one album. Oh, you was gonna say right there. 1000% or whatever that song was with that man who Caljard is all I. Oh, yes. What was his name? Oh well, never forgot. That was probably the inspiration for something that happened to one of the characters in rap should see them too.
But yeah, this, I'm proud of him. Go off Isaiah. Le Papa. My Isaiah. Yeah. Tell me. Isaiah say it. Let me tell you something. Don't talk about me. Like I'm not a D23 getting coined up because of me. Right. And the raising that I got from my mom. Right. You trying to paint out to be bitter or fans or commenters. Don't talk about me. I'm in a very good place. It sounds like Isaiah has had therapy. It sounds like his mama put him in therapy. Probably, you know, at a much younger age for him to be this well-adjusted and to have such a mature response about it. But I also wouldn't be surprised if Chinky is talking about his son now because his son is actually building a career that is probably going to be bigger than his ever was and worth more than he ever was. And so he trying to ease in on the back end like that. Like wow. Try Flynn Niggas who was not around for their kids. But then once they get famous, now all of a sudden you want to claim him. Niggas, you got to go to hell.
I would just I would be so proud of my son for writing something like that. You could not. Oh, who's imagine he just, you know, pulls up pages on his tablet. Mm-hmm. He's like, let me just. So here's what I'm from the post. Let me just type this out real quick. Mommy, what you think? Before you post it screenshot that for me. I'm going to put it over on the, um, what do you call it? You know, the digital fucking friends. Oh, yes, the digital photo albums. Yeah. And it just it rotates bitches. It's just a slideshow of that in me and my baby. Emmett is premieres. Right. Yeah. And last night, at least, Clarissa Shield says she and Papua is going to have a baby next year. That's it for the hot tops. This week, we're going to go ahead and take a break and we'll come back with your letters. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Survivor Wednesday. You are birthing a new game. We may read it aloud on the show. Our first letter this week comes from... DJ. DJ uses they-them pronouns and says, Hello, Chrislyn Kiffiri. My older brother is going through a divorce that started in May of 2025.
We never liked his wife, but my brother has only realized how horrible she is after the divorce started. Like any good millennial... Great timing. Like any good millennial, he has been posting about the divorce and his experience in their toxic relationship on Instagram. I like any good one. He has armchair diagnosed her with narcissistic personality disorder and consistently posts about surviving narcissistic abuse. He has never mentioned her name, but because they were married for eight years, everybody knows who he's talking about. Like... Oh. The problem is they still need to finalize custody and co-parenting for my eight-year-old niece. Because of his Instagram posts, his ex-wife filed a restraining order, specifically keeping him from posting about her online. And this has been enforced by a judge for six months. Work. Because she is the protected party, she automatically has physical and legal custody of their daughter. She hasn't kept them from seeing her
because she would hate being a full-time parent. But my worry is that she'll use his actions online to hold something over his head later. When the six months is up in February, my brother will be able to file to get 50-50 custody back. But he continues to post online about surviving narcissistic abuse and how one time a girl told me she loved me and I believed her. Okay. My sister and I have talked with him many times about finding better outlets for his frustration and told him a year ago that our worry is that anything he posts online can be used against him and now look what has happened. He will not listen to us and we know it's time for really tough love, but he shuts down anytime these topics come up. We're going to have a family call in a couple weeks to discuss this further, but I don't know where to start. Any advice for talking with a man whose toxic masculine traits have only gotten worse in a divorce? Thanks, DJ. You know, destroying a toxic unmaskable individual,
especially a cisgender male, what are my favorite things to do? I believe in destroying them for any reason. So, yes, besides getting merged that says, I told you so, all right? How do you tell this nigga to shut the fuck up? So, I don't think I would. I've already told you to shut the fuck up. I've already told you to watch what you put online. A judge has told you to stop posting these things online and you keep doing it. At this point, you're going to have to find out that meat's greasy. Why you won't listen? Everybody has told you, sister's told you, your siblings told you, the judge told you. Why are you still, you're going to have to go to therapy. Go to therapy, get a journal, put it in the family group chat, the WhatsApp. Like, there are so many other outlets
as opposed to vaguely posting about this girl online, even though everybody knows exactly who you're talking about. Just choose something else. Now, she does sound like a mess, but you do too, sir. Like, y'all sound like this was a toxic marriage made in hell, and it's probably for the best that it broke up. But if you won't listen, you're 40 years old, nigga. Like, I'm not going to twist your, what am I supposed to do? Take your phone. I'm supposed to delete Instagram. Like, you're grown. Age brought me back. Yeah. Like any good millennial. No, this is a childish. Right? DJ, first of all, DJ, I would like to say that this letter was written delightfully. It was. Thank you, DJ. It was really written delightfully. So I appreciate that. Yeah, I think I agree with you, bro. You know what, I would just be shady. I would be shady. I would like, I'd buy a gavel, and I would just start just banging. Anytime he say anything, anytime I see a post, or he'm just saying something that is counterproductive.
I would be doing that. I'd be getting shady clothes. I would watch courtroom TV all the time. I would send him or put in like family group chats. Yeah. Like Instagram quotes are links that actively speak to his foolishness. Yeah. I would just pass through about it. Well, if I got involved at all. I could see that because like, if you're not going to listen to us trying to give you good sense, then I might as well be petty in me. I might as well. Because you don't listen no way. I think I would, if I was trying to sincerely help, at this point, the only thing I would say is, do you want to see your daughter on a regular basis? Do you want to? Because let me tell you something. She might not be telling the court right now, but I'm certain she got an alert every time you post on Instagram. And that girl has a folder full of screenshots of all the shit you are posting about her online. Why do you need to post about her so bad? Why is it that you have to put these feelings on Instagram and nowhere else?
You really got to do it. You don't have to have anything. I would love to hear it. Collect the evidence yourself. Print some of it out and be like, these are all the pages I know. Right. And bitch got. Right. Do you actually want to see this? Do you want to? Because when you go back to court in February and you're like, oh, your honor, I would like to have my daughter. She's going to say your honor. He has not honored the terms of this restraining order. Not one time. And she's going to print out all these screenshots of your Instagram. And by then you're going to have him all archived. And you're going to think that matters. Re-hole punch the girl. Niggas. They're in a binder. Yeah. If you, you've that obsessed with Instagram, you've that obsessed with posting about it online. And you're 40 years old. Niggas, I cannot help you. It's a fun. I truly can. Log off. You know, I think, you know, on top of of your recommendation,
which is I think the biggest and most accessible for you, DJ. I, the only other thing I think that could be helpful is to give actual doctors names. Names of therapists. Yeah. And be like, here are some that are local. Here are some of the do virtual. I heavily, heavily recommend that you get into it. But that's another thing. A 40 year old nigga who stubborn and act the fool and don't know when to shut the fuck up and log off. Good luck. Yeah. You know, good luck. But I would after that, I'd be like, I'm actually done because you piss me off now. Because like you have a kid in the middle of this and you're actively working again. Having them in your life, having custody of them. And it's actually getting getting me up.
Especially because the way you act will almost certainly influence whether I have access to my niece. Yes. And if I, all of a sudden, have to fight with this girl to see my niece because of the way your monkey asks is acting online, now we really don't have a fucking problem. Good point. So tighten the fuck up nigga. It can't be that's it. Put it anywhere else. Put it anywhere else. Why does it have to be on the internet? Day one. Get a get a get a fake Instagram and post it there. Just stop. Just this is insane. Brother, this is you cannot. You go like get the fake Instagram. Oh, look. Post some shady shits on his own. His story like it's right. You right. Let's just right then you go repost it. That's the same thing as posting it. Exactly. Exactly. So just let you need to get off the internet. You can delete Instagram off of your phone because you can't you don't use it responsibly.
Get the day one app. What is that? The journal app. Oh, it's an. The I know. I know. I know. It comes with journal now. There's a journaling app now on iOS. So. Oh, is there? And you can lock it with face ID. So oh, I love that journal. Yeah, it's great. Anything to stop us from writing. I love that app. But like you you've you have so many options. You have siblings who want to support you. You could vent to them about it. You certainly you have friends in the real world. Like, but listen, I can't make you this is ultimately is your child. And you're going to move however you want to and they're going to be consequences for that. Including me treating you like you ain't shit. Because you're right. Right. Because if you make it hard for me to see my niece, now we really got beef. Like I really got to add to it with you now. You thought you had problems with your ex wife. But now. But now I'm pissed. How many ops you guys? Too many options.
Are you you really in a drink and Kendra kind of move today? No, I was watching a not like us reactions yesterday. Oh, that song was. Man, what a night that was having fun too. Man, that was such a moment. So, but yeah, I'm surprised he's still on Drake is still on two feet. But yeah, agreed. Get a journal bitch. Like, you know what to like, I think some of y'all be like, oh, get a journal and you think like the Moisha music and like a long time. This is why the app called day one. So no, you just it's a sentence. Yeah, I hate that raggedy bitch so bad. Theacks like it's good. River or night. S But I said, it was lovely about that as you can keep it. And then
he or two years five years, down the line. You open that bitch back up and see how far you pain. Yeah. But there's always that option. I read one of my older journals yesterday day before. Oh, Lord. And I was like, woo! No, I grew up. Ain't got good. Yeah, I have some of mine from when I was like 18, 19. I'm like this poor girl. Yeah. Bless her. Wow. You point me. I'm eating too. I don't know how you made it out, girl. You got over wow. Wow, wow, wow. Yeah. So, but good luck DJ. I know that's frustrating, but... grown people gonna do what they wanna do at the end of the day. So... I'm so mad they said, the... I'm a lady of mine. Right. Like any true... No, that is an unhealed ass. Give me a one. Right, dude.
You know what I mean? I've dated and broken up with over the course of the past 14 years that have never even seen my Instagram like that. We don't all go on Instagram to let the people know about our dirty laundry. We don't. Your brother has the option of not doing that and he's not taking it. So... And I want you to understand, there have been so many times with the both of us. Where some like you would have made a campaign. Like there have been so many times where bitches probably deserve. Oh, oh. First of all, I log on and drag my bag. I want you to do it like if I... Can stay offline. Baby. You guys... And keep my shit to myself. No. No excuse. You have to learn how to do it. You do. Or you just won't have your daughter.
So... And imagine like putting those on a scale and being like... Right. Not sure which one. They're so wild. They really are like, okay. Yikes. But yeah, like I said, good luck DJ. Let us know how that family zone goes. Our next letter comes from Salosa who says, Hi, Chris Linky Fury. So to preface this letter, I have brought up before in the past that my husband hardly ever takes photos of me unprompted. I've communicated to him that it would be very sweet of him to ask me to take pictures or even to just take candid photos of me. He said taking photos isn't really something that ever crosses his mind. And I said, that's bullshit. Because you take pictures of every vintage car you ever see on the road. So... Work. You just don't have... So you just don't have taken pictures of me on your mind. But now we can get into the real issue. My husband, Chris and I went to Halloween Horror Nights with his brother, his friend, and the friend's girlfriend.
While we were in line for one of the events, his friend left to use the restroom. There was a photo op prop in the line. There was a photo op prop in the line. And do you know my husband turned to the friend's girlfriend and asked if she wanted to take a picture in front of him? God, I knew it! I had to ask him to take one of me before the line moved. I tried not to let it get under my skin because the night was still young and we had lots of mazes to go, but it was definitely noted. We made it home around 3 a.m. and I turned to him in bed, held his hand, and asked if he could be more mindful of asking me first if I want to take a picture, and then asking if the friend's girlfriend wants a photo. I said I wasn't angry, but that would make me feel more considered in the future if he took that kind of initiative. He then asked if I even want to be with him and called me jealous because his friend and the friend's girlfriend are very affectionate all the time like a damn Disney couple.
I said, no, I'm not jealous. I only wanted him to think about me first, but him calling me jealous really made me upset so I went to go sleep on the couch. Do y'all think my husband is right? Does he have a point? Am I just being jealous? Thanks for any advice you have. Love y'all big salosa. I'm missing his breakup, man. Oh. What are you talking about? You want to sleep on the couch? What's happening? What is happening? What are you talking about? So there's so many issues here. One, I forgot about Halloween hard nights. I really want to go. I've never been and I believe they have a center's maze. No, no, you won't catch me nowhere near that. Anyway, the fact that you told this individual that you wish he would take the initiative to take both of you and stuff is excuse you say it was bullshit
because he's like, you take pictures, you take pictures of cars all the time. You want to take a picture of your wife? Really? And I would also call it bullshit. I have to like, I wouldn't call it bullshit if you don't really take pictures of anything. Mm-hmm. Yeah. You know what I mean? If it's just not really someone who thinks to take pictures often unless you aren't something like a concert and amusement park, a famer union, a cookout, maybe something like that. But you don't even take candid photos of a person that you're not even just with, like you're married. Right, right. Same strange. Never. Not even they laid out on the bed, whatever. And you just, oh, they got it as nothing. Tidy fall, not the tank top. You don't want to take a little snap. No, nothing. Interesting. As soon as you said you went to Halloween hard nights, I knew where this was going. I knew where this was going. I knew where this was going. The fact that he after you have said this to him.
And then he asked, not a homie. He asked the homies, girl bitch. If she want to take a photo, listen, I would have said, you know what's lovely about the University of New York's is so big. And I can go through whatever the fuck I want to do. That what exactly do you fucking mean? And then according to the way that you wrote this, sounds like you had a reason or attempted to have a reasonable conversation with him about that. It does. It does sound that way. And you got pushback jealousy? So I feel like this nigga is playing in your face and he knows that he's doing it. Does he like you? That's what I want to know. I've never had to ask a partner to take pictures of me. Now granted, I mostly date women,
but I've never, that's never been a thing in my. Stop taking pictures of me. Right. And put the phone down nigga. Like the enough is enough. And no, you cannot record us. Right. Oh man. I don't really take pictures of me. Like the minute that that excuse came out of his mouth, both brows raised. Mm hmm. Yeah. But now you're asking to take this bitch picture. I'm right here too. No. No. I'm saying right here as well. Not even like y'all want to go take a picture. Right. Sick. I hate him. So I did, I agree with what you're saying, but I also did when I first read this, I thought, okay, so maybe he asked her if she wanted to take a picture because her man had stepped out of line. So if I don't take a picture of you, you're not going to get a picture in front of the photo up. What I don't understand is why he wouldn't also include you in that. That's what's strange. It's not the wrong with him asking the girl,
do she want to take a picture? Because her man is gone. So like, yeah, I'm going to take the picture for you, but it's very strange that you have talked to him about this before with the whole picture thing. And yet he took that consideration for somebody else. Notice, oh, her man is gone. Let me do something for her. But then didn't take that own care and consideration to his own day on wife. That's very strange. So I think you are jealous, but I think you're rightfully jealous because your man is not prioritizing you. Yeah, that's very strange. And I would add to that, if, okay, if your man stepped out of the line knowing how many photo ops there are in this park for this event, you're not getting a picture. But you're just not, he stepped out of the line knowing that pictures is just happening. You're not getting one. So that's that. If it was the sinner's maze, then maybe I could understand you being like, oh, photo ops, we got to get these photo. Yeah. But as Crystal just said, why wouldn't he ask both y'all?
Right. Why would you think of your wife? Your, your, your, the person right next to you, your, your legal spouse? You didn't think of her. You should have asked her first. And then, hey, you want to get an image? Especially since she mentioned to you that you don't. And then rather than being like, you know what? You did say that. You have brought this up to me before. My bad, I completely see where you coming from and why that would, that would hurt you. And I just one thinking, you know, I'm, I'm dead. Right. Right. Whatever the fuck exactly. You want to turn around and try and do you want to make me with me? Problem. Do I want to be with you? That's actually a good question. Because why would you react like that to me saying that? Now, I would not be upset if he asked the other girl first. If only because her man did exit the line. And I would actually think, oh, he's being considerate. But if he didn't ask me, I would be like, so you don't see me? Like, I would definitely feel a way if I was in your position. Yeah.
Not that he asked her first, but that he did not consider you. You had to be like, okay, nigga, the line for the move. How about take a picture of your wife? That's insane. What? That's that. Yeah. And then the way he gets it. Does he like you? Yeah. That's a really good question. So I think you're both right. I think he is the way he's treating you is not ideal for a husband. And I don't understand it. And I think, you know, he's calling you jealous. Like you don't have a reason to be. Why is he treating other women with more consideration than he treats you? It's gonna take stuff like, I don't want to be the one to follow. I don't want to be the one to say the words. Look, because like, why are you being an asshole? You're not as soon as you said that. And why are you treating me like you have no interest? Yes. And then why are you doing something that I've specifically said makes me feel like disregarded.
And then when I bring it up to you, all nice and pretty, that you like, do you want to be with me? What? It's like so strange. I don't know why you would say it. I don't know why you would say that. I don't know why you would react that way. It does sound like, like if Erie said, like he's just trying to slowly piss you off to the point where you like, find him a leave. Instead of being like, I don't want to stay in this marriage no more, I think it's time for us to break up. Like he's just waiting for you to, like you don't want to be the quote unquote bad guy. That's what it sounds like. That's what it sounds like to me. Yeah. So yeah, I think probably, I don't know if you should, well, never mind. I'd fuck couples counseling. This, I mean, I mean, this is a dish. Right. I was saying, it's not even what happened. It's the way you reacted to me bringing it up. Like it was, what happened was bad. Right. It was bad enough, but your reaction made it so much worse
that, you know what? You asked me, do I want to be with you? And honestly, I don't know. Maybe we should separate and take some time to figure out if this is where we each want to be. You sleeping on the couch is a wildlife. Yeah. I mean, I don't, I think they have a hell of a reason. Sorry, Celoso. That hurts, that's things, but I don't think this man is really thinking about you like that. He's not. And he feels like he wants you, he wanna hurt your feelings. And he wants you to be like, well, that's what it sounds like to me because why would you do that? Right. All right, babe. Well, doing a POV video of the center's maze. Just buy your ticket. Okay, just buy the ticket. Go see the shop. I don't want to be leaving the house. Well, really bad things. But it just looks, this is your season. What do you mean? I tell British your time. Oh, this looks fun.
See, you got it at. You got him over here, recreating all this looks to, okay, this looks fun. If I got them in, they're dressed like the characters and stuff, they have a hell raise remains, which must be fierce because hell raise or has maces in it. Mm. We're getting off topic, sorry. So yeah, good luck, Celoso. Let us know what you decide to do, but yeah, your husband's a mess for that. Like leave him. Our next letter comes from MC, who says, hi, Chris Linky Fury. I'm a 30 year old woman, and I've been dating my current partner for five years. Prior to this relationship, my only other serious one was with my first love from when I was 19 to 22. My relationship with that person, John, was really formative and emotional, and when we broke up seven years ago, I fully crashed out. He told me he was breaking up with me because he wanted to leave the East Coast and move to a new city, but he never did actually move, which I definitely felt resentful about and probably still do.
Probably. John and I are not on speaking terms, and I haven't seen him since 2019, but we do still follow each other on Instagram, and I sometimes hear updates about him from our mutual friends. Sometimes I talk about that breakup and that relationship in therapy, because to me, it signifies a moment in my life where I felt abandoned and rejected. And these are emotions I fear deeply even now in my 30s. Last week, my partner and I went to Italy together. It was an extremely romantic and special vacation, and he proposed to me in Pasatano, sorry. He proposed to me in Pasatano by the water. I said yes and I love my ring. When we landed in the States on the way back, the first text I got was from a mutual friend sending me screenshots from Instagram showing me that my ex had also gotten engaged over the same weekend. What a cycle. What a cycle. The circumstances of the proposal were entirely different the coincidental timing of our engagements
is digging up old negative feelings. I wanna be excited about this new phase of my life and my engagement, but I can't stop comparing our proposals wondering if mine was better. I know this is very childish, but this ex brings out a very childish side of me, a version of myself, closer to who I was when we were together. Do you have any advice on how to process hard feelings from difficult past relationships so I can be fully present in my new, much better and healthier relationship? The timing of the two proposals is unfortunate and obviously not anyone's fault or done on purpose, but I hate that this painful part of my past now feels connected to this special moment of the present. Thanks so much for reading. I would love to hear your thoughts, MC. Yeah, MC, it sounds like you need some talk into the lady. Yeah, I'm so glad that's where you went. That was my very first thought. It sounds like you need to talk to the lady because you described like dream proposal
if you're into the romance. Sure did. Away and Italy by the water to love the ring. Bitch, oh yeah. Nobody could compare anything to in my life besides my left-titty to my right. Okay. I'm on cloud 99 after that. What? I get there being a little irked when you find out this is good. I don't got engaged the same weekend. Like that would put a little pain in me and the side but all things considered, that would go away. An hour top, not even. I think it would be a no-ite for it for a bit. And that would move on. If you're looking forward to getting married and you're comparing, I'm never comparing that proposal to anything. Right. You are definitely still hung up on this relationship or the way this person treated you. This was your first love. That can be. Seven years.
They broke up seven years ago. They were together for like three. Yeah, from when she was 19 to 22. But then the way y'all broke up and you said you probably still feel resentful because he was like, oh, I'm a move and then didn't move. Like, you look like a brother with me, like, don't. That's very weird. But I agree with Kifiri. Like, your man took you to Italy and proposed by the water and now you obsessed with thinking about whether that proposal was better than the one your ex gave his new fiancee and all of this. Like, I know you said you all have already been. You sometimes talk about that in therapy. I would encourage you to bring up this in your very next session. A anytime. Got to. You want to work through this before you walk down the aisle, baby. Big time. Before you start wedding planning. Yes. You need to work through this girl. Because it is a huge, huge bummer that your past with this guy is preventing you
from truly enjoying this positive moment. You got to get that up off you. You do. It is, I think, tied to some hurt, maybe some trauma from that breakup, which I think is reasonable. Like Chris will say, the circumstances of the breakup makes with the fact that you were 19 when you started dating. Yeah. That makes a lot of sense. But I would love it if you were able to get down to the bottom of that. So you can enjoy the future. I just think that it's gonna require you talking to somebody who's professional and helping you break that stuff down. Because girl, talk to some of the dolls out here like, well, my nigga proposed it all of gotten. That's the post that we did on. And did you have a ring and didn't get on one night? My nigga proposed it all the break things. Right. That nigga proposed over unlimited super solid. Talk about when you're here, your family. You got me a ring pop and said, well, Mariah loved it.
And you know, MC, if you were my client back when I was a student therapist, the very first thing I would ask you about is why you still follow him on Instagram. Right. I didn't even process there. I thought she was a snooping. Let's go ahead and unfollow on Instagram right now. Right now. It's time. So like you're engaged. I mean. So you can't see their stuff? You could probably mute him. I think you can mute on Instagram. But I would ask you don't follow the person. Whatever, you can make it so that you can't see him. Block them. Block, right. You can block him if you want to just simply not see his name no more. But if you are hesitant to unfollow or block or mute, then we would really have to drill down on why that is because this has been seven years. You're engaged. He's engaged. And the his engagement is causing you distress. So let's snip this in the butt.
And if again, if you're like, I don't want to unfollow him because, okay, well, now we got to talk that out. But you definitely do need to work through this before you go sign in paperwork to be somebody else's legal spouse. You do. Like, yeah. And what the fuck, where did he propose or get engaged? Be also how? Like do we get? She's like now I want to know all the details. And I want to know if mine was better or his was better. And all the like the fact that that's even on your mind. It's been bothering you. But like it don't. What does it mean for your proposal to be better? Why would that matter? Y'all have been broken up twice as long as you were together. You just say mine was better. If that's what you mean, you don't need any information. You don't have to look at anything. Like mine was better. It's not about whether the proposal was better. It's about the fact that it's bothering you like this. Right. It's a good thing. It's a good thing. I would walk back into my meeting with the Sabre Sunbeams.
And I would tell Autumn bitches, let me tell you something. Oh, you didn't watch the game. Um. Oh. Ah. Ah. Ah. Ah. Ah. Because you know, the bitches love competencies. Oh, my God. That took me a while. OK. Well, my husband proposed. Immediately. I'm the water. I'm the water. See my ring. Yeah. Yeah. I agree with everything. I was going to say, why, why don't you follow this nigga? Why does his engagement matter? Right. And your therapist will probably be able to help you to work through those things. And then you, you know, you said you probably still have some resentful feelings about how it ended. You need to work through those two. But you don't want to carry that into your marriage. You deserve better than that. Seems like you found somebody really solid. You want to start off on a good foot. So in addition to couples counseling, I, I recommend you work through this privately.
Yes. I agree. And the fierce part about therapy is you'll talk with a therapist or, you know, counselor, whomever. And you might discuss this thing with this nigga. And before the session is over, talk about mom and dad. Oh, yeah. That's where it goes back to every time. Yeah. It goes back to them caregivers every time. And you walk out of there like, well, knowledge. No. Why was this me yesterday? I was in therapy. And I said something like, well, I just feel like I should just be happy with what I, what I have. You know, I should just be content with the things I have. And she was like, whoa, where did I come from? And I was like, I heard it as soon as I said it. She was like, you're not, you're not talking. You're not over here crying because you don't have like the new iPhone or a Prada bag or something like girl, wha, whose voice is that telling you to be happy even though you are it? And I was like, Oh, god, yeah. You know what it is that mama that daddy almost every time, almost every fucking time.
So yeah, gone and gone and bring this up with your therapist and make this a priority for you. Yeah. Cause I want you to be happy. Yeah. You really do. So good luck, girl, rooting for you. Let us know how we go in engagement. And I bet you didn't have to ask him to take a picture of you. I bet he hired somebody to capture the whole thing from a distance. So you didn't even know what was happening. You got all kinds of souvenirs and you know, it's just a beautiful moment. You won't cloud nine and then you found out about your ex and it was like all that went away. That's a ding ding ding. That's about once a week if you can, girl. But good luck to you. Let us know how it goes. Let's go ahead and wrap up the letters right there for this week. Again, if you have a question for us, please send us an email, ask the read at gmail.com.

Zach Braff, Donald Face On, Sarah Chalk, and the rest of the gang at Secret Hard Are Back for a brand new season. We play medical doctors who are besties. Just like in real life. And we'll definitely be up in each other's cases. Scrubs come here as Wednesday on ABC. And stream the next day on Hulu. Side effects may include laughing, cheering, and lots of hot vibes. Hello Superman. Oh right, slurs. It is time for the read. I just have a couple of things to say. Okay. I'll just try and make it quick. Girl, the ceviche got hepatitis. So I just don't know what- Oh, God. What we're doing at this point in the world.
What is safe to eat? So there's been a hepatitis A outbreak. I guess it's linked to certain clams that are commonly used in ceviche. Thirty-seven illnesses. Thirty hospitalizations. Obviously the- Jesus. I think the FDA has once again said, well, like, don't know what to tell you should happen. Not really sure. What? What? What we supposed to do about that food and drug. That's what I mean. I mean, we don't- We just play. Oh, but it's not funny. FDA now stands for Fortnite Daily Utility. So we just don't- We just don't be here playing games. It's like the match. Hepatitis in the seafood. So what more has to happen?
Because I know these bitches eat food too. They just probably don't, you know, they're not getting it from the places that we are. Right. Obviously. Right. Because what other food has to be tainted before we say, hey. The funding- T funding? The FDA shitting on the CDC. Oh, RFK. You know, making it difficult for us to eat food? Yeah. Expensive food on top of that. The highest the food has ever been and it's not safe to eat. Hmm. Meanwhile, your president is over here berating CNN anchors and journalists and telling them where they came, it can't be- What is his mother- And with mom Donnie? Did you see him with the U.M. with mom Donnie? No, I didn't.
He better not have gone to my husband's nerves. Oh. No, he did. He absolutely did. He got on the mic and started rambling and you can see mom Donnie dissociating. You can see- first of all, he's not smiling. You know, normally he got that big ass grin on his face. He's not smiling. He's just sitting there with a completely blank stare on his face. And his- There's a comment on Tic Tac that said, oh, that man astral projecting around New York City to fill potholes right now. He not even right here. That's where he is. That's where he's. He not even right here right now. Because Trump started going on about how the media said they was going. What's the call when you decide you're not going to support somebody? Not forfeit, not block. They decided they were going to protest and yeah, like stay away. And they're like, of course, y'all not really going to protest. Of course y'all still here. And you can just see mom Donnie being like, dear God make me a bird. So I keep my fire. I keep on falling. Far, far away. He literally does look like he was changing into his mind palace.
He's like, whatever gets me through it. Yeah, I hate that bitch. He literally told what was this woman's name? I don't know. It's a Caitlin. Okay, this lady. Yes, Caitlin Collins. Yeah, he did. He told this lady, you're not supposed to be here. You're not supposed to be here. We're going to have to learn it. I'm learning to hang in there. Yeah. Police bag. You're so old. Do you think you're angelic of pickles? The only thing that, okay, so this is how I know I've been having like a fairly decent mental health week. Because my optimism said to me, I know that there is an ever expanding group of horrible people in that White House in the administration that are at this point like, I'll just do it.
Just whatever, just whatever it's supposed to do. Just do it. How much longer we got? Just get it over. We can't just fucking do it. He says CNN is banned or these journalists are banned from being around him. Not just at the White House. And that's what it was. Band from being a round him. Okay, Chris Brown. That's actually an amazing comparison. I can't post my story. Gave Trump. It kind of gave him a job. What the fuck do you mean that this person's not allowed to be here? Outside. I'm press. And some of them down he's like, well, we're not going to limit the press. We don't believe in that. We believe in the free press. And even if they print things about us that we don't like, we're not going to limit the press. It's kind of constitutional, bro. It's spucking insane, bitch.
Meanwhile, if you are here eating a large mouth bash, you'll get a committee or something. It just doesn't. Yeah. Yeah. There's scabies in the in the in the art art show too. I'm not going to let the pros and fruit and grits shit because it's like a mess. What else is there? What else is there? Niggas like damn. Maybe like a month ago, my mom, uh, FedEx, me mangoes from the tree back in the backyard. Oh, your God's favorite. Nice. And I might just have to hit my mom back up and be like, what else you got? I know them mangoes. Right. She got pine apples and cherries back there, bitch. Just boxed all up, sent it over to the doll baby. She sent some up to my brother, Liv and Colorado. She's absolutely there. Mommy, I mean, Mommy bought her tomatoes. She would just pick one and just straight eat it like an apple. I wish. Yes. I still have Mommy, Mastemato's.
Please send me to them because I don't trust none of this shit. I'm like gardening is in my blood. Me and my grandma used to garden together all the time. Oh, I love that. And she was out there to herbs, veggies, all kinds of stuff out there in the backyard. I loved doing that shit because I got to play in dirt all perfect. I just put my hands on the dirt and stuff like that. And not get yelled at. Not get yelled at. It was bonding time with my grandma. I got to like see the stuff grow and then we'd go and like, she'd cook with it. Yeah. I also helped her plant flowers in the front yard that were in the shape of Jamaica. Oh, that's so sweet. And she ate that. I remember her actually like using these little sticks or something to make the shape. And then we know she was doing period. She knew she was going to look just like Jamaica. A gardener. Yeah.
I think we're probably going to have to stick with fruits and veggies right about out of our own ground. A horticulturist. She's like, my legit was that like people pay big money. I thought he was a farmer. People pay big money for stuff like that. So my granddaddy was a farmer on beef, rap, like we just didn't have these problems in the country in the 90s. We just didn't. Okay. The men went out and shot things. We still. And brought that back home. We fished. We just we have real food. Not that we didn't use grocery stores. Of course we did. But like, yeah, this. This was back when the FDA meant something. Yeah. And now. It's just like how many more foods have to give people some sort of sickness, blow they stomach. Right.
But tight is very blind is whatever for like before someone goes, Hey. She. She. Fund these departments again. So people are dying. People are. But I think that's what they want. Kim. People are dying. Yeah. They're just trying to. What is it called? Calling the. The masses. Yeah. They want to stay. They want to stay. Well, they want us all dad. They're getting it. Vegetables. Like. I'm telling you, come up commercially frozen fruits and vegetables is all I've been buying for like the past three weeks because I do not trust the rest of it. I have to go to a farmer's market to get fresh stuff because I do not trust the stuff that's getting shipped from all over the country. I just don't. And I'm going home. Rinsing. Thoroughly. Thankfully. I'm the salad spinner. Well, I used to play with that, even when we didn't have salad.
I used to just. Right. Get it. I started cranking that thing. It's fine. I think it's a pushbutt. Now, it used to be a thing you could turn. Yeah. Yeah. It's a pushbutt. Now, but it still gives you that good time to. It's fine every time. But that's it for me. It's just, the food is out here making people sick continuously. It feels like every week there are some new meals, some there's some new meat, protein, vegetable, grain. And you can think of the FBA is like, well girl, this round of Fortnite is up. So before we start a new match, that's gonna kill you. That's gonna kill you. And you will get simplest from this or whatever. Right. And Donald Trump is around here saying, you know, I don't know, punch buggy, no punch back. I hate that dude. I hate everybody to the lover.
I guess I'm talking to you too Nicki Minaj. That bitch won't stay off the list. She did what? I said that bitch won't stay off Fox News. Oh, well, I think she has to. Yeah, I do. I actually don't even think it's option for her. Someone asked her, it was like, you know, something about why she supports Donald Trump or what she loves about him. And she was like, he's just so himself. And when he speaks, what? I just feel him and I hear him. And I just love him so much. And I won't make excuses to that. You didn't tell us anything. You didn't answer the question. He's just himself means nothing. It doesn't mean anything. What's good about himself? He's not you. He's not me himself. What are you talking about? Nicholas. I'm finished. She's just saying shit. Well, in the same vein of the Trump administration, I want to talk about a woman named Donna Ganger, or Ganger. Sorry, I don't really know how it's pronounced. And if you remember several months ago,
Renee Good, that white woman who was killed by ice and Minneapolis, that rear white woman. So Donna is Renee Good's mother. And so she was testifying. I see that. You did. OK. So she was talking to, during this public forum about ice and what they've been doing. And she mentioned that she is a registered Republican. And she voted for Donald Trump. And she said, I voted for President Trump under the impression that these agents were here to protect the citizens of the United States in a sense, like our family and the others here, against terrorists, certainly not to accuse those of us here of being terrorists and taking precious lives. And then she goes on to talk about how, as a mother, you only want to protect your daughter. And it's just the biggest regret of her life that she wasn't able to protect Renee.
And none of them have moved on. And they're all still so devastated. She'll never be the same. And we really need to think about what we're doing here. And blah, blah, blah. Why is it that the bullshit has to land on your porch for you to give a fuck, Donna? Why is that? You voted for Donald Trump. No way he was going to do this shit. First of all, how are you even the mother of a queer woman married to another quripper? Like how are you even that person and voting for Donald Trump? Like that's confusing to me. I don't know how you claim to love your daughter and vote for Donald Trump in the same fucking breath. I don't know how they're going to do this. If you, I assumed that if Renee Good had Trump supporting parents that they simply didn't talk to her, like I don't even know how you're going to sound at in your mind. But baby, you were okay with it when you thought it was going to be the brown people who live in your city,
in your county, in your state, in this country. When you thought it was going to be other people whose families were torn apart, when you thought it was going to be somebody else's child to be shot and killed in the street, you didn't have no fucking problem with it. You not once, I'm sure in a million years, did you dream that ice would murder your precious white daughter? And I don't even want to, it's like, although I'm disgusted by this person, I do also have some empathy because your daughter did die needlessly. Like your daughter was killed by ice needlessly. And this is a fucking tragedy. And I should absolutely be held accountable and dismantled and all that. But we're real, I think those of us who never even considered voting for Trump are so goddamn tired of the rest of y'all. Oh my God. Eventually being like, oh, I guess Donald Trump is a terrible person and these are bad policies,
that have negative effects for most people, including Americans. Like, yeah, you dumb bitch. And you didn't care. You didn't. The hatred was on display from day one. You don't remember Bill DeWal? The bigotry has been on display since day one. Donald Trump has been a bad person for as long as we've known about Donald Trump. Since the Central Park five and before, when he was denying housing to black and brown people in Queens, this has been going on for decades. Why, why, why does it have to personally affect you in order for you to care? What is it about this man that makes y'all say, okay, I'm going to turn off my empathy
for anybody who is not directly related to me and vote in what I think is my own best interest. I don't understand what that is about y'all. I'm sure it's something that's fundamental to being a white American because so many of you voted for Trump for this exact same reason because y'all all say the same thing. When I voted for Trump, I thought it was going to be those niggers he cleaned up. I thought it was going to be all those brown people that he just rounded up and sent back. And I thought he was going to stop all the trends in. You know, they're trans and the kids and they're trans and the mice. I just thought we was going to have a regular heterosexual America again like that. That's what y'all sound like. Yeah. And then it's true to the backer. Oh, I don't understand. I can't afford to retire. I can't afford groceries. I can't afford to put my grandson in soccer. I can't, my gay daughter can't do this. And then it's like, you y'all have no empathy for any human experience other than your own
and you shot yourself in the foot. In all of ours. How does it feel to know you voted for the man who authorized the execution of your daughter? Great question. Sit with that bitch. I'm sure it hurts. I'm sure it hurts. And there's a part of me in another universe that really has a lot of empathy for you for your loss. There's a bigger part of me right here and now that saying this man has been terrorizing us since 2015. Right. It's been a decade of the Trump threat. And now he acting like it's some kind of way he can stay in office. He acting like there's a chance in hell that he could run again. But you don't vote for him again. If he finagles his way. He been in it. Right. Is this going to actually get you to change your politics? Are you going to do something differently? Are you still committed to the racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, classism, whatever it is, xenophobia
that's keeping you so aligned with this asshole and his ideologies? What is it? Secondly, the eyes coffee. I can't see the background. It's killing me. Laney, what was she doing? She just walked out and started staring at you. Well, but sometimes I get to yell and she'd be like, all right. Right. She was like, Goddamn. You were, oh yes, you're doing the work, thanks. Yes. Now, number two, this eyes coffee debate. Eyes coffee debate. Have you not heard about this? So a recruiter on TikTok posted a video and she was like, hey, so some of my, I think she mentions Gen Z specifically, but she was like, you know, I'm trying to get you all ready for these interviews at Fortune 500 companies. And one thing that I'm saying is like, some of you are bringing in eyes coffee to your interview and it's coming across as like too casual to the interviewers. And this may be why you're not getting a job.
Now, I have not had an interview at a corporation in many years. So I didn't really care about this. However, the conversation has absolutely blown up from all of these people who are like dead set on bringing their eyes coffee to an interview and saying things like, well, why can't I bring my eyes coffee? And why does it matter? And everybody else in the building is drinking coffee and this is this, I'm not even saying that it should matter. I'm saying, do you want the job? If a recruiter says, hey, these stuffy rich old Republican white men at these Fortune 500 companies who are doing the interviewing, they don't want your loud ass dripping ice coffee in the interview. They want you to come in on your P's and Q's looking a certain way. Do you want the job? Do you want the job? There is a certain amount of playing the game that goes along with certain careers, not every career.
So now everybody didn't get the original context of like interviews at a Fortune 500 company. So now people are like, so I can take a ice coffee to my interview. Bitch, if you're going to interview a quick trip, yeah, go right the fuck ahead. Like, we're not talking about being the cashier to your local bowling alley. There are standards for certain careers. The first thing I thought of was dress codes. At most employers, dress codes mean nothing as far as like your ability to do the job, right? Right. You know, I can see doctors for safety and health reasons. You know, you wear certain scrubs, PPE, things like that. Certain jobs, yes. But like, to be an attorney, for example, you can be an excellent attorney in Garfield, pajamas. Yet every law firm and every courtroom in the country will have a dress code and an expectation for how attorneys are supposed to look when they come in here. You don't have to be a lawyer if you don't want to wear
the pantyhose and the blazer. You don't have to do it. Pick another job. But if you want this job, these are the standards and expectations for this job. I don't understand how it, baby. I don't know how you've missed it. It has been everywhere when people going back and forth. And, oh, y'all are, y'all are looking for these corporations and then people on the other side, like this is why Gen Z can't get a job. You lazy person. Oh, yeah, shit. And it's like, see, be argument. Because we used to have like a whole classes or parts of a class that were like, let me prepare you for how a job interview should be handled. Yes. Yes. So even if you think the iced coffee thing is silly, you want a job. You can want the job. This is a recruiter telling you, hey, this is what these people want to see. This is what they want to see. Do you want the job? Some of you legitimately do not have to have the job.
You say, look, if I can't bring my iced coffee to the interview, then I don't want to work there. That's fair, too. I actually agree. If you're that, if you're that snooty about a fucking cup of coffee, I probably don't want to work there. However, most of us need money. So most of us need a job. So if they're not saying, oh, perm your hair. They're not saying cut off your locks. They're saying, don't bring your iced coffee to the interview. If that's too much, then yeah, this is not the job for you. I don't know why, why can't we all just come to that understanding? What's so complex? It's a very interesting debate. I mean, it is because I do. Because on the one hand, both sides, I do. I do, but I could also see, although I think it is kind of silly, I could see corporations, especially big snooty white probably being like, I don't take that drink seriously. It looks ridiculous. This year, not too casual.
Like, you supposed to come in here, buttoned up. Like you're selling yourself to the company. That's, this is what I was told back 20 years ago when I was looking for a job. It was you are selling yourself to the company. You are telling the company why they should want to hire you. Like you are making yourself look good to them. It is a very few of us who are aggressively pursued by companies and organizations, but very few of us. And those people can indeed come in and put the dick on the table and ain't nobody gonna say nothing because everybody fucking wanted them there. But most of us are not that person. So again, if you don't have to work, if you can stay with your mom or dad or your cousin or whoever and you can take your time and all that and it don't matter to you, then please go and do your own thing. But that lady was talking to a very specific group of people and it just, you know, the internet. Once it starts going, then it's just all over the place. Cheska Lee did a great video covering the whole thing. And it's just like, y'all, if an iced coffee is the hill,
you wanna die on. That's wild. Go right ahead. And then you say, well. I think I'll hot coffee in an interview. In an interview, I'm actually not bringing anything, but my resume. Right. And then people started talking about all the different things they've seen somebody do. Oh, I didn't interview with somebody and she put me on hold to answer the phone and talk to somebody else or you know, just it's all kinds of things that are, you know, that have been going on in these interview places. And it's like, on the one hand, I'm so glad that this has not been none of my business for a long time. That's true. On the other, if somebody told me all you have to do to get this job is not bring an iced coffee, that is a sacrifice that I personally am willing to make. Ha, ha, ha. Ha, ha. Personally, I'm not going to feel like my humanity is being violated because you asked me not to bring an iced coffee to the interview. Right. Right. What is the, I'll get over it.
What could the environment possibly be like in here? If I can't bring my iced coffee to you, but people in the offices are drinking iced coffee because they already have a job. They work here. You're auditioning. You're auditioning for the play. You're not in it. Ha, ha, ha. Well, the executives in the C suite are doing coke because they have the job. Ha, ha, ha. You think they were doing coke in the interview? Ha, ha, ha. Ha, ha, ha. Ha, ha, ha. Get the job first, girl. Get the job first. Ha, ha. But, you know. That's a funny debate. Yeah, yeah. It really is. I mean, to me, it seemed utterly ridiculous, but not even that I don't see what y'all are saying. It is a petty thing. But because it's a petty thing, I'm willing to do it. Because it's petty. It's inconsequential. It means nothing. I can get my coffee before or after. If I was interviewing somebody and they came in with an iced coffee,
as long as you were still on time for the interview, which is at least five minutes early, then I would not care. That actually shows me. Because you don't run a law firm. Right. I don't run a Fortune 500, anything. And one of the things that's cracked me up, Cheska Lee was like, no, Shay, a lot of y'all probably don't even know what a Fortune 500 company is. And I said, gag me because I actually don't. Ha, ha, ha, ha. Get the job. My guess is that it was one of the top grossing the top 500 grossing companies in the world. But I don't know. That's a guess, bitch. I legit don't know. So maybe. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Ha, ha, ha. But yeah. Context clues are everything now. They really, a context means everything. Just leave them out here. It really does. And it's like this girl, you know, it's just a cruder, a recruiter, making a little tick tock saying, hey, here's some tips. And Genzy said, girl, fuck you, I'm wearing my pimple patches. That was another video. This lady says she had to tell her colleague not to wear pimple patches during a presentation. And the girl was like, but I'm breaking out.
The pimples would be a distraction. She was like the purple stars on your face. Yeah. Actually, I'm a bigger distraction than your zits. And I don't, you can wear your pimple patch all you want to, but there's a time and place. And at work during a presentation, ain't it? I promise you, if you have a pimple, if you're breaking out, at work during a presentation, where I want this to be over, I will probably not see or be paying any attention to your acne. And if you do have, I'm like, oh, she's breaking out. Because I'm grown. It's a normal thing. So many people break out. It's just part of having skin. Yeah. Right. It's part of having these elementary school teacher star stickers all over your face. The best distraction. Now I don't hear anything. Now I don't know what the fuck this presentation was about. Right. Because you look like a Lisa Frank folder. And then the European's chimed in. They were like, actually Americans are too casual all around. Y'all casual as fuck. We would never operate the way y'all do.
Things are already too lax over there. Y'all need to tighten up. It's like, OK, now slow down beans on toast. Not too much for y'all. But you know, I don't, I think it's, I honestly think is COVID when everything went online. I think Gen Z said, OK, so nothing matters. Yeah. But for sure, for sure, big boss man was in his pajamas. On sale. 2020 was an anomaly baby. We'll never get that back. That was a crazy time. That was a wild, wild existence. And I know you had to graduate from high school on Zoom. And I'm so, so sorry for you. But you simply, I'm sorry, baby. This is just, are you willing to do it? You don't have to. You don't have to. There's plenty of jobs where they don't care if you bring a beverage to the interview. But there are some companies where they absolutely will. And if you want that job, you will assimilate to what that
company is asking for. It's just that simple. When I was like, maybe 17, 18, Miss Info told me that, regardless of what job you get, you should act like you're getting paid a million dollars to be there. Oh, wow. I would have a hard time doing that. I think that like what she was saying is like, you got to go in there like, you guys were lucky to have me. Like even when you're working there, I'm selling my time to you. True. True. That's exactly what you're doing. And when I was younger and in school and stuff, one of the main things they told us about interviews was like, these people are going to be looking for how serious you taking yourself and this interview. Yeah. I know who is serious enough for the job. That's why even if I was going down to apply it orange Julius, I made sure that I wore something nice. Yeah. Right.
So if we talk about a Fortune 500 company and a recruiter said it. Right. A recruiter. This is somebody whose job it is to get you placed. Because when you get a job, she makes money. So like she wants you to get hired. She wants to help. She has every reason for you to want you to get hired. Coffee freaks a wild. And you know, I enjoy an iced coffee. It's fun. It's tasty. But it's not a necessity. I can wait till the interviews over and use it as a reward or I can have one beforehand to put myself up. Although then I might get the run. So I might not do that. Right. You know, it's just please don't be late for work. Right. Now that's another thing. If you stroll in 15 minutes late to an interview with your fucking dunk in, I'm kicking your ass right back out. Like bitch, people who are late somewhere and then they come in with snacks and drinks. Also, you had the time to do that shit, but not to be.
I wanted them ones though. Like punctuality is number one for me. You need to be what you supposed to be on time. The fuck you stroll in here like you own this place. Like you don't want hiring. Girl, it does not work like that. Sorry. And just because a workplace will let you bring an ice coffee to the interview, for example, doesn't mean that that's going to be a fun or safe or healthy place to work. You know, I'm sure you could take an ice coffee to a call center job. Is that going to be the most toxic job you ever had? Probably. So I say from experience that everything you just said, baby, the call center is be the messiest wildest, most disrespectful, stressful. The QAs will stress you out. Your team will stress you out. Your co-workers, the customers are the main ones who will stress you out. But you can have your ice coffee. Thing about it was Haina.
It was. But I loved it. Everything. It was kind of fun when it was fun. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. When it's fun, it's the best. I was Asian, our block. Sometimes we have niggas called me trying to figure out where they're their taxor refund. Not free. Yeah. They're trying to figure out where their tax refund was. And I go look up the code and realize that the IRS kept it or they because they owe child support. Yeah. Whenever they have kind of that child support in the government was like, well, that's ours. Here you go. It was so big. I had the biggest smile every time I got this helmet. I got this one. I got this one. It was a huge smile. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Because the conversation is over now. There isn't anything I can do. I can maybe tell you here go to number you can tell them and then they won't do anything. Right. But I got nothing else for you to do. Yeah. I used to love when customers were blatantly wrong. I'm like, I'll sit here and explain it to you all day, baby. This is very simple. Right.
I can't rush you off the phone. I have to sit on here until you're done. Right. But you got to bring your ice coffee to the interview and that's what matters. I could award Brazil and song in that interview and I probably have the job. Just because it's casual does not mean you're going to want to work there, baby. Right. And you still can be late because you had to go get a nice coffee. What do y'all think this is? So, you know, just some things to consider. I'm not even saying that things should be that way. Do you want the job? Okay. I think something similar to was it DJ and a letter? Oh, yeah. Like, do you want? Do you want to see your daughter? Right. Because it feels very similar to just not get online and act of it. It really does. It's like you could just any other time of day you could have this ice coffee. Like just. Yeah. Okay. But okay.
Y'all got it. Y'all got it. Best of luck. I mean, and I think a lot of people are feeling sensitive about it because unemployment is so high. The economy's terrible. People are trying to get interviews. They're trying to get jobs. And so it's like, I think maybe people are more on edge because of that because it's like not y'all using something stupid to filter out, you know, good candidates. But for every, you know, something stupid like that, there's going to be some other bitch who's on her pees and cues. Who shined her shoes and came with a resume printed out on card stock and didn't bring an ice coffee and put her phone on airplane mode before the interview style. There's going to be somebody who's on top of it, girl, and who you think's going to win. You're so right. You go walking to one of these interviews being just as qualified. Maybe a smidge more. Yeah. But that bitch came in and impressed and didn't bring a sweating cup of ice coffee.
And so they said, oh, you got the job. Yeah. Yeah. So just good luck to everybody. You know, I, I found this conversation to be mostly delightful. Um, because the, the children were demanding their right to ice coffee. And I'm like, you actually do have that right and they have the right to not hire you. So what do you want to do? Right. You just start some justice for ice coffee non-pro. Come on, babe. How about you don't bring the ice coffee to the interview and you get the job and you work your way up to when you're the VP. And then you change the rules and, and everybody can bring ice coffee to the, whatever. This is so, it is so right. I'm like, imagine what the rest of the company is going to write when they hear the, like, are you okay? Like who cares? It's giving ballroom. Yeah. It's giving you one to ballroom. So. All right.
So that is go, oh, and, you know, Chris, to the New York Liberty tonight is the last regular season game. And, you know, we're in the playoffs, but I don't feel good about it. And I, Christa Marco, y'all have got to get this man out of our place. Get this man off my team. Get this man away from Stewie. Get this man out of C phone. Okay. Because it's just, I cannot do another season of this. And we have a winning record. But our record is inexplicable when you look at the talent we have on that fucking roster. What is Christa doing with these girls? But I'll address that more in depth once, once the playoffs are over. And I'll leave it at that. That's going to wrap up this week's episode of the read.
