Hey, you're trying to live in for Kentucky Sports Radio. I'm not just a radio guy. I'm also a realtor. I talk to homeowners all the time, and what's the one thing many homeowners have but rarely think about?
It's equity. It's something that can quietly grow over time while you're busy living your life. And for many homeowners, it can be an opportunity they haven't explored. Whether you're planning home improvements or preparing for whatever comes next, your home's equity may be able to help you. It's important to understand what's available and to find out the right option that fits your goals. For me, I wanted to put a pool in my backyard and finish my basement. I didn't have the money available, so I went to Stockton's mortgage. They found the equity that already built up in my house was able to use to install my pool and finish the basement. I would have been able to do it without them. At Stockton mortgage, they'll walk you through the possibilities, answer your questions, and help you understand your next step. If it's been a while since you've looked into your home's value, now might be a great time to start the conversation. Visit Stockton.com to learn more. Stockton mortgage. Welcome back, I'm number two, Kentucky Sports Radio 8559, 280, 2287. I'll get back the phones here in a second. Let's go over some stuff. First of all, uh, Shannon, I pushed the envelope twice yesterday on ESPN. I kept waiting for the phone call. Yeah. Didn't come. That's a good sign. That's a very good sign. What'd you say? First one, it was announced during the show Donald Trump will be coming to the Tennessee Texas game for game day. Big day. And so I got the got the note during the show. Yeah. Didn't really have time to process it. Just said the first thing that came to my mind, which was orange likes orange. Okay. Good point. I watched my producer and my Ringo. They look scared. I started to play disclaimer. The thought of the whole stage is leading to represent. Right. Yeah. It was already said at that point. You know, it's objectively. That's funny. Right. How are you going to get mad about that? You don't think
he's orange and it's perfect because Tennessee and Texas fight over orange. And they're different shade. They're the only two teams that are. It is the battle of orange, which orange is right. Why would you not have the orange person now? You're bringing in a third. Now you're bringing in another one. Shannon like what? That's perfect. Right. Yeah. Who do you think is the guy nervous? Who do we think he's going for here between these two or does he pick? Well, I mean, I think he's at Tennessee. So he's going to want the crowd there. But there's a swing state election in Texas that might just, you know, decide the Senate. That's what I'm wondering. Yeah. So if he comes out and says go balls, I don't think you can pick. Then the Senate might flip blue. I think you have to raise his hand and either do a horns down or horns up. And we all wait. Like, you know, when they do the thumb up or down, they can't put him on game day. Yeah. I don't think they got from yeah. So he could get boot. Although, if you're going, if you're in Knoxville, that's probably one of the places he would be least likely to get boot. I mean, Tennessee Knoxville is pretty hardcore Trump territory. But there would certainly be
some people that would boot him. But more thing, I would just think security. Yeah. With all those people out there, they didn't even bring Langkiff into game day. And the game is at noon, which means like it's going to be full of people. You're not going to have time to search. All those people, right? Right. That's a huge. And you know where the stadium is, there's buildings around it. Yeah. That's around. I just think there's no way you could put him on the set of game. I wouldn't think so. Yeah. That would be a security. I will say as much as much as I dislike him, the idea of having him as the guest picker, he, it would be the most entertaining television because they would, he'd just be like Missouri. I've been to Missouri many times. They love me, Missouri. They're playing for the, but they love me, Miss Florida as well. So I say we've been in Missouri and I'm Florida. Everybody, everybody loves Donald Trump. Will you pick? Is it Missouri or Florida? They'll probably talk about each governor. I just built a building in Missouri. It has been named on it. It's like, they could, they get through two
games, but people would watch. No, I would, I would watch. But I don't think they can do that. I think that would be, I think you should have to. Of course, though, and put on a mascot. Let's just go all the way in. I would give him some respect if he put on a mascot. I think when Pat McAfee takes a shirt off, he should, Pat's been feeding Nick Sabin a lot. He fell in, fed him chicken tenders last week. Maybe, Pat, maybe we can feed him. He takes to literally puts it in Nick Sabin's mouth. Like a bird? Well, he done mama bird and spit it in his mouth. He's holding it. He's done it several times. I haven't watched it all this year. Well, this was last year too, but he did it last week. So he's like, he's like, he's on a statement. That's, that's a gimmick on the show. Yeah, he had a big chicken thing on a stick and held out and Sabin got a big bite of it. I mean, there's a lot of things I would pay to see. I'd love to see Trump try the kick. Oh my. Wouldn't you like that? Yeah. The McAfee kick. But if he made it, you never hear the end of it. Oh, listen, if he made it, I'd say Trump 2028, I want to see him do that. I listen, there's nothing
more confident in my life than he wouldn't make that kick. I mean, do you all think you'd make the kick? I know. How far is that kick coming? It's 35 yards. No, no, no, no, no. You get there. But that's really how it drilled it. But a lot of them make it. Now the kid last week, he must have cheated because he opaque because you're supposed to not have been a soccer player. And he apparently was like one of the best soccer players where he lived. He was like, you have never kicked football before. What's he doing? That thing was good for 45. He had that dead on. Yeah. He was barefoot. But I would not make him barefoot. Yeah. Oh my gosh. I feel like that would hurt so bad. I hit a kid like just off to the right right in the face. Yeah, they just make this. And then the second thing was I brought up. Myron asked me about Florida, George Alon. And I said, they're the worst group in the history music. And then some of you remind me they do the college game day thing. Did somebody that wanted to produce her for mind you that? Yeah.
I was about to say what's controversial about that? That's fact. I didn't know there was an ESPN right after the lock. Yeah. Yeah. So I'm just I'm not on a roll of continuing with what what what if you didn't even push back immediately? I mean, I mean, I mean, I might today. You never know. But all right, a couple things. Did you hear this somehow escaped? I think a lot of the national attention. But I read about it yesterday. Did you hear about what RG three said about the BYU quarterback just offhandedly during the game? This is involved dinner. Yes. Okay. Yes. I didn't see this bear Bach Meyer. His name is bear botmire, which by the way is a great name. Great name. It's crazy. It's like number 47 as a quarterback too. He's a quarterback at BYU bear botmire. Chaining, have you heard this story? No. What is it? The game their BYU's playing Arizona and just offhandedly. RG three says, yeah, when we met with him this week, I was really surprised. He said he and his family would always eat dinner together naked. What? What? And the play by play announcer,
like just moves on as if he hadn't said it. Probably a good idea. Don't bring them in. Then they just keep going, which makes me wonder if somebody goes. So did they say it like? But if he told them that, then he wanted that to be public knowledge. My question is, RG three is also kind of weird. But first of all, could that be true? I mean, why would bear say that in their interview? Because he says, bear told me during our conversation that at dinner, his family had to have been off the record. How do you work that into the broadcast? He just said bear botmire. Find the clip. You know, you're holding onto that. Put it on. Let's play. Let's play the clip. He says they eat dinner naked. He says sometimes we'll take our clothes off and walk around naked. I think it's what he said. I thought it was eating dinner. But we're eating dinner and then sometimes we'll take our clothes off and walk around. I believe that's how it was worth it. I mean,
family, by the way, very clear. He was suggesting the whole family. All right, everybody take your clothes off. It's time to eat. I think if they do that, obviously, that's not normal behavior. I think in his mind, him saying it doesn't think it's that crazy. You have two brothers. And I think his brother's names are like tiger and moose. No, I'm not kidding. I think it's like bear tiger and then maybe moose. Okay. Maybe this is what I mean. It's got to be a weird family. Free spirited family. It's pretty free spirit. There's free spirit, Ryan. And then there's we all eat dinner naked together. Like dad, put that up. We're eating. We have company over. We're open on. Why are you looking at that up, Shannon? Because you need to hear. And the other guy, like just acts like it has not happened. That's probably the wise thing to do. Yeah, the way R3 says it. It's almost like he's like, yeah, he works out every morning. Yeah, he said it like, you know what? He eats protein. I would have been like, hey, everyone.
We need like five minutes to talk about something. I found out yesterday. Forget the game. Can you all believe? But no, are you? It's like it's going out. All right, while he's looking it up, let's go to Rob. Go ahead, Rob. Hey, my thought about Will's sign in this season is it's going to be a little unpredictable. I mean, most people thought we had a chance against Bama. Then we go. We beat A&M. I think we went around seven games, maybe more. But it could be one of those scenarios where we beat Tennessee at Tennessee, but then dropped to Missouri because a lot of it does have to do with coaching matchups and things like that. And on a quick side, no, I think you're exactly right by that. I think hang on just a second. I think you're exactly right about that where like we can sit here and predict the games. But then the actual games we win and lose will be random. I think you're totally right about that. What was the second thing you said? I'm a Trump voter, but that's funny, Matt. People need to lighten up out there. I'm with you. I appreciate the call. Like,
can't laugh about that. I mean, I mean, I mean, you don't think it's a great joke. But like, again, you look at my tweeted out. He learned. Like, got Mario left. Mario really likes that. The man is orange. What do you expect? Did you see, by the way, for all of you that send me in comments, they just produced an AI thing that apparently can find out the real name of any anonymous account ever put on the internet. So everyone, I would say in all seriousness, this is just advice. If I had an anonymous account and you have a life where like, apparently this software, they say is able to track any anonymous account who it is and that companies can hire it to make sure their employees. I'd like for that, some people they get my DMs. You say some stuff. Apparently, they just came out. Apparently, they just announced the technology and it comes out in a few weeks. So people need, and apparently it can go back throughout his,
if it had been on the internet, they can find it. I would be if I was somebody I don't have an anonymous. But if I did, I'd be like, ooh, Kevin Durant and his secret. He's got secret. Yeah, because they're going to get embarrassed. Like, well, you're honestly Kevin Durant. Could be one of those. You don't know. All right. So here, here was the quote. That was so cool. I can tell mom looks like she's taking notes there. We should ask where about that next next time we get a BYU game. But he told us it at the dinners. Sometimes they just take the clothes off. And they walk around naked. You make it at your dinners, got it with the family. Do I have to answer that? You don't have to answer that because I don't think anybody listening right now really kind of does that. A miracle. It's up to your imagination. But the blackmiers for. What's going on with that else? I don't know. I guess the game was in the middle of the night and people just stop paying attention. But he just said that like that was just during the day. That's wasn't even that way.
It's a day game. I mean, it's just an anecdote. Yeah, he was just telling us that he and his family get naked for dinner, Bob. How did that even come up? Can you believe it? What about you? Yeah, what is he talking about? I'll keep reading about the dude I met out. All right. What's going through your head? I'm in the fourth quarter. Well, let me tell you what my family does at dinner. How did they even go off on that? If somebody said that to me, there's no other question. I'm going to be like, what did you just say? That's the rest of the night conversation. Also dinner. Why does food need to be involved? Or your immediate family? Also, I wouldn't involve them either. And these are adults. It's not like this is going viral. They're going to have other games. Oh, yeah. It's not like this kid is going to be answering this all year. And BYU has a chance to make the playoff. Can you imagine it's BYU Alabama? What do you think the Alabama student section?
Or just a defensive line been lining up. I'm talking about his mom, the whole game. And they were showing the mom on the screen. Poor lady. I mean, if he has a big year, say you get some by the houseman ceremony. You can't invite that family there. No, the family can't have that walk around your radio city music hall. I mean, what if you know them personally, you get invited over for a dinner party? Does he know? I mean, I bet they get a lot of people there. Maybe they don't know. There's a lot of them. What if I told you that most of history's underwear wasn't remotely close to the underwear you're wearing right now? Hi, I'm Greg Jenner, host of your Dead To Me podcast and we're back with a brand new season. And if you're a fan of fashion trends of the past, you'll love our newest episode on the history of underwear. We explore how our underwear has changed throughout history. And whether TV depictions of agency era ladies in their lacy underwear are truly accurate. Listen on BBC.com or wherever you get your podcasts. Who's this? Gary Clark Jr. You know this song though. Beatles. I know the Beatles version. I don't know if I've heard this version. Well, this was uh, yeah, this came out several years ago, but I mean, it was a big, big hit for him even though it was a cover. So he'll be there tonight too. Yes. All right. Gotcha. One person says Matt, I thought,
I'm even matter at my mother. She used to make me take my hat off in the dinner. Different, different, we all have a different, uh, different situation. One person says Matt, where do they keep their napkins? Great question. Great question. To go with all our other questions about this. No, there's a good text here. What person goes, can you imagine those in-home visits? Have you seen Big Boy use coach? No, you don't think they make a big boy. He is a big boy. The Reds. What'd you say? What you got to do? What you got to do to get a recruit? You just don't have to do it. Joey Votto said yesterday that the Reds, he was asked, what do the Reds need to do to not be as cheap? And he said, we'll start by not making the players pay for their own soda. He said they have a coat machine in the clubhouse. And the players have to pay for the coat. That's shocked me. They can afford it.
Yeah. That's true. See, that's funny. Corporate Shannon. Because you see that and you go, I'm paying you. You can't buy a dollar. See, I would say the opposite. I'm playing baseball for your team and your nickel and dime in me over Coke. We get free Coke and I don't need to be drinking Coke anyway. You're an athlete. Okay. Same thing. But point me, whatever the drink is. Look, the Louisville I-Hard studio is full of stuff. And like, come on. It's a symbol of cheapness. Yes. Can they afford it? Sure. But, you know, come on. You're a major league baseball team. I can see like you're trying to get players to play for you. Part of it's going to be like, you're going to make me- it's not even about the dollar for the Coke. It's the symbol of it. You know, Mars shot was famous for it. But yeah, you think after the dollars years ago, or was that a thing with Mars shot? Yeah. I forget some of the stuff she used to have.
The reds players pay for. But, you know, they feed them. They've got a big spread of food usually in the middle of the clubhouse. I can't believe they make them pay for their drinks. That's even more ridiculous if they're giving them food and they're like, but that'll be a dollar 50 for the soda. Also, I'm in a locker room. I don't know where my wallet. I'm walking by a drink set. I just want to drink. Tell me I can go find my 75. I think it's out of my pocket. But Shannon on the other. It's got bigger problems than vending machines. The problem is symbolic of the greater problems. They're cheap and they're pitiful as seen by the fact. It's not, I agree with you, Janice. It's not like they're going to start winning if they give them free soda. But the point is it's symbolic of their overall cheapness. Yeah, this is one example. What else is behind the scenes? It's so different than everyone's. They probably fly out and spear it. I mean, as much as the game charge you for season tickets, they should give you free sodas for the game. Oh, dude, they like, you know, I mean, listen, in general, the guy, they do good stuff for me. But also, I remember when we wanted to go
watch batting practice, they were like three of you can come. And I go, well, I want to take all Ryan wants to see batting practice. And then I'd like Mario to film it. And you would have thought I was asking to enter the White House to get the fourth person. But you should be glad people want to watch batting practice. I mean, they were getting out of the infield. So, essentially watching Buns outside of Ellie. Steve, go ahead, Steve. Yeah, I was calling the Patlinburg deal. Yes. 73. Not too too around here is cell phones. Okay, so you're telling me it's Catlett's Berg cell phone. That's a cell phone around this very information. Okay. Oh, so it could also be Asselin people. Right. Okay. Or Louisa.
Could be Tyler Childers. A lot of people. Yeah. Well, I used to agree with my uncle played data connection in the being 30. Okay, got you. I got you. Well, I appreciate the info. I assumed it was a cell phone by the fact it was a text message. Right. Yeah, I appreciate the call, sir. Let's go to Lex. Go ahead, Lex. Hey, guys, I saw I was listening to the show here at the barber shop and and and scrolling on Twitter and I saw. Hello to the barber shop. Yeah, but I saw something on Twitter. I said if they've known if they know about this, they would have already talked about it. But busting in the boys posted a trailer and it's going to be a movie about Madden and his journey from head coach to broadcaster and Nicholas cage is playing Madden. Yeah, I saw that. We talked about that when it when they initially announced it. I have seen the trailer. Does he look like John Madden? He looks like Nicholas Cage with Madden.
So exactly what I was going to say. Okay, like Nicholas Cage. Yeah. All right. Well, that's kind of a question. Bill is Al Davis looks pretty good. I appreciate the call. Yeah, Gillis is in that too. And Shane Gillis plays somebody. I'll watch it. I'll try to watch it. I don't have high expectations. I don't think it'll be good. But it's that I think it's a 24, which is like a good movie. And David Russell, the guy that did American hustle. Oh, that sounds right. I mean, Christian Bell is great. I wouldn't think he'd do it if it was some low budget operation. I mean, you wouldn't think it'd be terrible. I remember when they announced it before we had like images. I was like, how in the world is Nicholas Cage going to be Madden in their close ish? Yeah. I mean, like Shane Gillis' show tires, I really didn't think the first season was good. I thought it was like shockingly terrible. But then it's gotten really good. Like that's one of the few shows where like you watch season one, you're like, this is unwatchable. And then two and three, my buddy was like, give it a chance.
And I think it's great. I haven't seen three yet. Gillis, three, three is even the best. Even before tires, his skits on like YouTube are better than his stand-up or anything else. Yeah. So maybe this movie will be good. Oops, so, but it is Nicholas Cage. Casey, go ahead, Casey. Hey, good morning, fellas. I just had two quick things. Madden, I heard that my boy Luke Bryan was catching some strange yesterday. I don't like that. And I just had to say, I don't, I mean, I'm sure he's a nice people. I understand, but everyone's pretty sexy. Like it's still the music. I'm sure he's a wonderful person, but the music is kind of awful. He was so kind of like mad at me, made me cry. But the main thing I wanted to say, the movie Verity is not for your mom. Do not let your mom and her friend breathe that good. My mom's not going with my mom. No, for that one. I didn't think you would go with your mom. I just didn't want her to hear about it. And then think, oh, I need to see that. Because it's going to be great. Grab your muffins and popcorn. But it's not for Karen or anybody of her age.
Appreciate the call. Wow, the first. I mean, right. When I wear, where are muffins that you were supposed to get? You know, the textures said they had strawberry muffins at spallnings. I went to straw spallings this morning to get a strawberry muffins. Then I only do not have strawberry muffins. They said we have never, ever, ever made strawberry muffins. Well, I was excited for what I was doing. I was too. So I was very, so does anywhere in Kentucky have strawberry muffins? Somebody's got to make them in this town and elect them. I'll go get them for us so we can find that exactly where they are. So I'm working on today sending the apology pastries. To Mr. Muffin Man. Henry. Henry Muffin Man. No office. Henry Muffin Man. No, for the whole office. Because I'm going to have to go back there. Yeah. When I keep the door open. And y'all can stop calling me Muffin Man. Like that doesn't need to be a thing. Kind of fits. That's the Muffin Man. I like it. I don't need that. Roll off the tongue. Bro, does not.
Can't like those crumbs rolled off your tongue onto the floor. Yeah. TJ Smith, personal injury attorney. Call TJ. He'll make them pay. Now more of Kentucky sports radio presented by Stockton Mortgage. Here's Matt Jones. I really like this song, Shane. And I know it's terrible. A lot of people apparently like it. It's got 2.2 billion views on YouTube. Wow. Really? 2.2 billion. That's got to be one of the biggest, like that's got. I mean, how many videos in YouTube have more than 2.2 billion views? Probably every Taylor Swift video. But outside of that, I mean, that is a shocking number. But I can picture this video. And I can picture this woman. What does she do now? She sings in Fort Omblond. She's going to be at Bourbon in a beyond today. You can come ask her what she does. Do you think she hates this song? I mean, this is the song that made her famous and made her money.
But there are no other Fort Omblond songs. Yeah, but if you wrote one song that's a hit, that's more than 90 episodes. What if that was all you got to do for the rest of your life was seeing this. Oh, what a terrible existence. It's one more than a lot of people get. I mean, you can make your rich person. Yeah, fair enough. No, those are good points. Apparently, Vado later said he was kidding. Because I guess that was a scene in Moneyball, which I forgot. Okay. All right, so I'll take it back. With that said, the red still stink and their owner needs to sell it. Well, it's the other team in Cincinnati, but the story is about the Bingles organizations legendary like the saying, like, isn't it a story about the towels being too small or something? Oh, yeah. It wouldn't fit around like most of the players' ways. Players' ways. The thing I've never understood about the Bingles, their practice facility is under the interstate. Like, if you're driving on the interstate and they're practicing outside, I feel like people could throw things on them. So I can just pull it there and watch. That's got to be like that's got to be one of the like it's under the interstate. It's helped sharpen them for the season though.
Yeah, I mean, there's got to be no peace. Yeah, loud. It's got to be loud as heck. I don't know. Don't you agree? Like, don't you find that odd? I've always thought it was odd that their practice facility is right there. Yeah, kind of out in the abridged with the trolls. One person says, man, I've never heard a take of yours. It was worse. Tire season one is the funniest hardest I've ever laughed. And then the last two haven't been as good. Your insight. Tire season one is except for the episode where I did a car wash, it's terrible. And I like Shane Gillis a lot. But then two and three is like, it's like they got a new riding team or whatever. And I think it's great. I liked one. I haven't seen three. I like one and two. So I assume three is good. I'll get to it. I have a new sleep show, by the way. What is it? The show about the on Netflix about the Lakers? Not the HBO. Which is gonna be crappy one. But it's called like the LA waves. It's got Kate Hudson. It's awful. And they're so bad at playing basketball. They're so awful. Like the the the the it's Tom Hanks' kid is one of the players.
Chet Hanks. It's awful, but I will say it's great for 10 minutes falsely. 10 minutes falsely. Very short episodes. Yes. That's funny. I think it's called like a winning time or something. It's awful. I didn't even know they had this on Netflix. And it's got that stupid guy. And then it's got the other guy. It looks just like him that's also stupid. They're both in it. They got him both. They did a good job of the family that owns the team. Kind of. Yeah. They just all of a sudden halfway through get a Hispanic brother out of nowhere. Spoiler alert. Sorry. That was a plot twist when it's he coming. But it's great to sleep too. Joe, go ahead, Joe. Hey Matt. Two things. First as a fellow Bill Simmons podcast fan. I can appreciate that I love that your impression of RG3 somehow became you impersonating cousin Sal and impersonating Bill Simmons and impersonating Chris Collinsworth. It's like it felt like it was like a three-sextre-moved Chris Collinsworth
impersonation of RG3. I'm not a really good impersonator. I mean, I grant you that. Like that's not a strength of mine. I have like two accents. You know, no, you talked about the negative stuff. Yeah, you talked about some of the negative stuff about why can't UK fans be happy? I'll tell you this is honest. I was off Twitter for two or three months and we all know it is an addiction. So getting off was great. And I got back on near the end of the Youngstown State game. It was my first time in two or three months. I just thought UK fans would be happy. And most were, but there's like four or five like. Just people that like try to find they try to turn a free $20 into like 75 cents or complain about somebody handing them money. And I haven't been that constant to Youngstown State games. I totally understand. What happened? What road have to happen? It could probably be people who are happy. I don't know what people I agree with you. I love you guys. Thank you sir. Appreciate it. I agree with you. I mean, I now use Twitter during games really just to express my thoughts.
I don't, I don't, I don't like read the comments. But it's not just Twitter, although Twitter, I think it's the worst. Facebook's like it. You know, I mean, it's that there's a lot of stuff. And it stinks because I think the average fan, the average friend Ryan is as excited as they've been about football. You know, I mean, there were times during stupes air. People were very excited. But certainly since say that will levice. That's it. You know, you going into will levice is second year. You thought that was going to be a great year. Ended up not being, but it was, but you thought it would be. This is certainly the most exciting since we've been since then. There's no doubt. Like I said, we've said many times the program got a little stale and our fan base got a little upset with the way things were going. We needed a boost like this. Yeah. Will Stein's giving it to us. And so I don't know how you couldn't be. I don't know how you couldn't be. It's that I have friends who are very pessimistic UK football fans that were sending like Will Stein dancing memes. Like that's how excited they are. I genuinely think it's one of the best wins in program history.
I don't know how you can play about it. I know I even agree A&M probably isn't the ninth best team in the country. When you go into Kyle Field in the first road game of the new era and beat the team with the number nine next to him on the scoreboard, that is awesome. I don't need any other context. That makes me happy. And I will continue to be happy. Can I tell you something Shannon? You mentioned, you know, Shannon's fell for the boomer story. This week and he told me yesterday that he was very careful. Now he wasn't going to fall for something again. And you were saying you saw a video of the Louisville slugger bat falling on the cars. Yeah, I saw on Facebook and I saw like I'm not going to fall for that. I'm not even like to say it in true story. I'm glad you said that to me because I got on Instagram. And I saw that video. Yeah. And I for a split second, I was like, really? And for a split second, if you haven't seen that video, it's the big bat in Louisville and it's falling on a car and it's fake. But it looks real man.
You could see how people fall for it because it did look really real. And the account acted like it was real. God, I wish I hadn't said anything to you. I do want to get back. Well, I would have looked for a second source. So I would not have said it on the air. I would not, but I would have looked and been like, I would have gone and been like, is somebody reporting it, but I will say I could see how you can fall for it. Jamie, did look pretty good. You know, AI when it first started out, it was obvious things that were AI. But now it's getting really, really good to where it looks seamless. You're watching videos. It looks and you also think, okay, who's going to take the time to put up a video of the Louisville slugger bat falling? Well, somebody did a lot of time out there. I can see what's happening. Yeah. Tom, well, I can too. That's part of it. Did you believe the picture of Keith Taylor dunking on Mario? No, no, no say I did the standard AI looks for you.
By the way, I have your, they AI does Shannon all on in basketball uniforms, playing for Kentucky. I have your left and left it at the thing. So you can hang it up in your wall. Tom, go ahead Tom. I got your cupcake. Hey, how you doing? Good. First time caller, long time listener. Who are? Yes. Anyway, I got a gasoline story when I was walking. I heard you talk about that. I think Jake bought it as recanting because I had a friend. They had the top 15 companies in Cincinnati do like the nonprofit thing. And the cast linies were involved in it too. And at the end of the three months, they had, she had a $20,000 expense that she could buy at each company. And the cast linies gave them leftover key shirts and hats from when they went to the postseason year before. All T shirts, old postseason T shirts. Yes. And everyone couldn't believe it. And they spent $20,000, she had a 20 or they had a $20,000 expense
by each company, a gift. And that's what they got. Wow. Well, I appreciate the call. That's the right. They need to sit down and get rid of the owner. That's all you can do. It's hard to get rid of the owner. It is. It's got a pretty good standing. Well, remember, he was the guy that said on opening day, well, if you don't like it, where else you're going to go? Yeah, that's right. What else you got to do? That's exciting. If you can hear a great message on opening day. If you don't like Cincinnati, we'll send you to a level. His premise was if you all don't like it, I'll move to a different city. Which, that's also a great way to keep rallying the troops. Yeah, you're going to leave. And then whatever city you want to go to, they're probably not going to eat the reds. Aren't they the first team? If they're not the oldest, they're one of the oldest, yeah. Franchises. Who is the, is it the Yankees? Who is the oldest? I think the pirates might be there. I think it's the reds. I think the reds are the oldest team. Yeah, except they're not they're one of. Hey, here's a Kentucky drop you want on your radar.
How about this? Shady rays and papi in company are creating premium shades that tell the Van Winkle story. Okay. I have no idea what that means. Sounds exciting. I like both these brands. I like the collab. It'll be at ShadyRays.com. Raffle tickets are available on September 30th beginning at 11 a.m. And at six o'clock, they'll draw 10 winners. Oh, I'm looking at them. I like these. What's it, what are they? They're only making 999 pairs. There will not be a second run. So you get an out of the individual number. How does it tell the Van Winkle story? I don't know that it talks to you. And it's like, you know, Julian Van Winkle, but it's it's got it's got papi on it. Yeah, and like some like their logo. It's all kind of hidden. There's like a little design. One of those. All right, so to be ShadyRays Lexington. Oh, and the packaging is awesome. September 30th, you can get the raffle starting at 11 a.m.
They'll draw at six p.m. On September no. On September 29th, sorry. What, so what, when is that? Tuesday. Five days for now. So Tuesday, September 29th, you get the raffle, you get the tickets between 11, and then they will draw at six for those for 10 winners to be able to get those. I like these. They come with like a papi branded case. Like a lot. I like that case. You know, we're at ShadyRays on the second, October 2nd. Maybe we'll get a pair. Oh, we're there on the second. Yeah. Right around the corner. Well, they will've already done it. I don't know, but they make us a pair of the classes. Well, they only have nine or 99. I wouldn't expect they're giving all of us a pair. They're going to save four. Maybe there's some secret ones that keep back for us. One thousand five. Yeah. Reds by the way of the third. They're back there with the strawberry muffins. Third oldest team. Oh, who's the oldest? I didn't know this. But it says the Atlanta Braves going back to 1871. No, but that's in the, they were the boy ad.
That's not the same. No, no, no. I would know. I would know. It's not a different set to stop with your red stockings. Oldest continuous operating team. Yeah, that doesn't count. What was the second one? What was the Chicago Cubs? All right. So then I guess that's the oldest one that still exists. Braves. Love the Braves. I'm not even counting them. That's my old team. The Braves don't count. That's like, you can't stop. You don't get to, that's like saying the Oklahoma City Thunder. It's like saying the Ravens of the Browns. Well, wait a minute. They are. Go away. Hey, all right. It's almost here. Are you ready? Just grabbing my shoes. That's what you said 10 minutes ago. I just wrapped a video call, uploading this giant file on my tablet, looking at my watch group and Nana's with the group chat, and of course, still lining up tonight's playlist on my phone. All right, so Shane and Lod, about what? The reds are the oldest professional team. The braves were the oldest team to join the major league baseball. But the reds were a perfect, well, because they used to in all sports before, the league started, there would be professional teams that go around playing people, right? And they were the red legs when they started, right? Yeah, so the reds were the first professional team. So what was this braves team? They were doing it for fun? They were professional. Well, no, they joined later, but they joined the major league baseball first. I guess, I don't know. I wasn't there. This is 1871. Red 1889. Reds are 1869. 1882, according to this. This is 1869. You fell for a boomer. Called Google. Yeah, seeing that. You can't even trust that anymore. I don't think I trust the one that said the golf balls thing too.
No, that was heavy dot com. Do we trust Wikipedia? Yes. The Atlanta braves were the Boston red stockings. That's what I just said. Yes, their name originated from the Cincinnati Reds, which were already a team in Ohio. Oh, boom. Red legs red stockings. Shane and Reed's half an article. Well, so he knows everything. Telling me that the reds have sucked now for 150 years. No, that is not it. I won't dispute. That is not it. All right. So tomorrow we're in Marion County at ham days. I'm looking forward to that. Getting the country ham biscuit. Mario, you sent me earlier what the place was. Can you remind me what the address is? All right. You look at it. It's right here. It's right here. It's 239 North Spalding Avenue. New 39. Oh, it's in that building downtown. There's good coffee shop. Mixed. Do you remember that? It's called like the library or something. Yes. And I love eating my weight and country ham at this show. Yeah. 239. And if you've never been, this is a cool. This is small town festival. People come out.
They really get into this one of the better. Like this is a really good. As far as small town festivals, it's tomorrow be a good day. Take off work. Come to Marion County. Have the ham. See all the people. Johnny rocker will be there. Johnny rockin. Oh, yeah. He'll rock. So it'll be good. It's got to be one of the oldest festivals in Kentucky too. I bet. No, it's not getting. We already struggled to baseball. That's not getting the festival. Yeah. Junior, go ahead, Junior. Hey, Matt, I agree with you that the Kate Hudson Laker show is trash, but it's not called winning time. Winning time is John C. Raleigh. Oh, that one was good on HBO. What's the one I'm talking about? Something point, maybe? Yeah, it's, yeah, point game point or something. It's, it's right. But the winning time is very good. And it also tells the story of how Pat Raleigh became head coach of the Lakers, which is crazy in and of itself. But what I wanted to tell you was, March shot and her true reality with the Cincinnati Reds
in game three of the 1999 World Series, Eric Davis made a diving catch in the outfield. And in the process, Lacerated a kidney, which required an extended hospital stay. Yeah. She didn't even fly back to Cincinnati. He had the charter a meta flight that was equipped with dialysis to get itself home from the World Series. Oh, from like Oakland. Oh, my goodness. Yes, from Oakland. Yeah. Am I right? You can't, you can't hide from that. Yeah. Am I right? They had like an unpowered die on opening day. Opening day. Yeah. John C. R. Was it your did? Well, John C. R. And she didn't want to cancel the game. Or didn't want to post. She said something like roly mover and let's or something. Didn't she say some quote like that? She only did that. She also had some flowers that somebody sent her for opening day. Good luck. She took those flowers and sent them to McSherry's family. Oh, no, no, she didn't. She didn't even get her own flowers. She sent the flower somebody and sit her.
Oh, no. That's awful. Yeah. Really? She's historically a cheap skate. I remember her on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Yeah. She had like a Nazi thing, right? Wasn't she? She said something about Hitler. Yeah, she did. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I appreciate the call. I remember like she was awful and she smoked that. She brought her dog everywhere. Shotsy. Big St. Bernard named shot dog would just poop on the field. Peep, poop, whatever. She also kicked the macho man out of the press box. Why? And what he was up there doing his whole, you know, rustling thing and she got mad about it and kicked him out. It was the whole thing the next day in the newspaper. Didn't she like talk like? Right. She had like a mark shot. Yeah. Wow. I used to do a mark shot impersonation. Okay. Yeah. Keep it finished. It's funny. Got another smoke for me. Honey, let's go have a smoke break. I'm mark shot. This might need to be a little bit of a macau. We just check in. Okay.
So I'm mark shot. When did you, when did you break this one out back in the day? We used to do plays of the week at Channel 18 and every week we got a different voice. All right. So let's let them tell me, give me an example what you would do. All right. It cheap gate. This is a mark shot. I got five seconds to tell you what happened on the baseball field and I don't care long. We made some money. What happened? I can be. We're killing. I was off top of my head. Oh, did you think about that one? I didn't know time to prepare. You used to write the script. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You and Cutler would write like a comedy routine. Well, Cutler wouldn't do it. Tom Kinney, he would do like Kermit the Frog and we had all kind of little voices. You all just did voices. Yeah. Yeah, for plays of the week. Okay. He would be Kermit the Frog. Yeah. And you would be mark shot. Yeah. And you would do the plays of the week. We would. And they would put that on television. This got the people going every Monday. And that's how you all got to be number one. Yeah. They have never said that stuff is not stupid.
You all had the secret sauce. Yes, you did. Kings, Reds and Braves finished the series tonight. We split, went into extra innings last night. We still lost. Who got? I'm going to get $5. You get up to $200 bonus bets. A lot of special boost all week. We're going. I love my braves. I'm going to go with the reds here now that I learned a little bit more about the braves and reds history. I'm going with the reds too. Oldest franchise. No braves are the oldest. They win today. Braves are saving other pictures. I'm actually going to pick the reds. All right. There you go. All of ours are hurt. So it doesn't matter. We're going to see you in Marin County tomorrow. It's KSR.
