This is the Todd and Tyler radio empire. One thing I think it's secret to out is I like maps. I'm the map. Anybody knows Todd knows his interactive map guy. I get all kinds of map feeds and social media. You know the languages that we were talking about yesterday, the third most popular language in each day. I was interested in that comes in map form. No, not all road maps. There's one called terrible maps. There's one called map porn. Are you enjoying the days getting longer now? Do masturbate to map porn? Oh, I love the days getting longer. I like flying the daylight. I don't like flying at night sucks because I want to see a map. I've seen this map where you chase 70 degrees. You drive all over the country and you end up in certain parts of the country

certain times of the year where the temperature will be 70 degrees. I'd be a nice, that'd be nice trip. And there's some guy is taking your painstaking and he's plotted it out. And here's where you go and you can travel throughout the year and maintain 70 degrees. I like that. I want to do a map where you chase the 10 o'clock sunset. 10 o'clock at night. Yeah. Well, what time of the year does it turn 10 o'clock? The sun go down here at 10 o'clock at night? We're right about there. Yeah, we would have to go for a little bit more. 21st is the longest day of the year. Right. 20th something again. We'd have to go further north because I'm growing up on the North Dakota man. Oh, that's right. Yeah, you had the daylight all day long. That's why you had the sun shone personality. No, I remember the least. The sun stayed up. It has come from me. Yeah. Right. It was 10 o'clock. If you got to the, you know, it was a nine-hole golf course we played. It was 10 o'clock and rugby. Right. And if you've got to the number 90 at 10 o'clock, you had enough light to finish it. Wow. That's cool. And that was mid-summer.

Yeah. Can we get the 630 T time, please? Yeah. Great team. Yeah. Yeah. What the hell? That's cool, man. See, now I haven't checked the exact time, but you know, when I go up to Alaska, would you need a plane for that? Oh, certainly. Yeah. These are planes. And that's what I'm going to say. I'm going to say that at that point, you're chasing major latitudes. Like you couldn't be in Alaska right now, because the sunset is like after 11 o'clock. Oh, you're going to be, oh, it's late. And you're going to be there in a couple of weeks. Yeah. And it's kind of cool because I don't really like driving in the dark and there's not going to be much dark when I'm there. What, where, are you near Anchorage, right? And then I'll be going north up to the farthest north I'll go is a Denali Park, which is about a four hour drive from Anchorage. This is a late June South Central Anchorage, Kenai. Your son said it's about 11 30. Wow. And that means it stays, you know, dusk until about midnight. Yeah. It almost seems like a bit much. Yeah. I think you'll be drinking. You can fall asleep earlier.

Oh, it's always off your body clock because I remember, Christie and I had a busy day last time we went to Alaska. And we looked at each other. I am. I'm kind of hungry. You kind of hungry. Yeah. What time is it? Oh, it's 10 o'clock. Yeah. I don't know. I don't know. We were seeing it. The captain. Oh, yeah. We cooked this a little bit forage for berries. Cooked this a little dinner. And the far the far north angle, like point, point, barrel. Yeah. Sorry. May 10th, August 2nd. I should say that was a lot of room. May 10th August 2nd. The sun doesn't set, right? No sunset. Yeah. May 10th August 2nd. What? No sunset. If we could be rehashing this Nick, what time is it in Alaska? They are central or was it western? It's one hour behind Pacific time. Oh, okay. Oh, it's one hour. Okay. From the central time, it's three hour, three hour difference. What do they call it? Alaska Hawaii time. They're the same time as Hawaii. Yeah. I thought a white was six hours. Yeah, I thought white was first.

Yeah, I think that's wrong. I don't get me to be right. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Because Hawaii doesn't do the daylight time. Right. I think Alaska does. So that means point, barrel in the winter. The sun doesn't rise for whatever period of time you said there. Yeah. Well, this is May 10th August 2nd. So that's almost three solid months. If I had to deal with just a darkness 24th, seven, I'd be, I'd be eating a gun. I think it'd be the same. Is the same weirdness going all suns, suns? I just don't rather have all sun than all dark. Absolutely. No comparison. You can go into a black room, paint the windows and go to sleep. You know, I think there'd be some psychosis kicking in about mid July. Either way, the people that lived there have to be. A stupid, you know, wired in a certain way to be able to put up with just complete darkness, complete sunlight. Right. No, if you're there a year round, I don't know how you acclimate or how many years it takes you to acclimate. Yeah. And people that are lifers in that area like which lot of people. Oh, that's probably how you acclimate. Yeah. You don't know the thing. I'm not there either, man. If you watch the episode of a two-day-day-old North country, bad things happen.

Yeah. Weird things. What a total darkness. It's a way up in Northern Alaska. Yeah, there, somewhere near there in the winter time. United country. I had to come to work today in the dark. I hated that. That sucks. Cut up. It's like sunny as hell when I wake up and, you know, at home, in the morning. It's pretty bright when I left. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Shocking. It's the only one that drives in it. It's sunshine a little. It's the only one that drives in it's sun-blown. It's the only one that drives in it's sun-blown. It's the whole time. Do we go to sleep? I like coming to work with it's light outside. I do that every day to them unless I'm here. Screw you guys. Yeah. Dark, man. It's also early year, 701. Is that right? Central time? Yeah, okay. If you're listening live, yeah. He was chosen to podcast anywhere. Our buddy Zach Peters are going to stop in a little later on this morning, just us tomorrow hanging out. Yeah. Uh, they, uh, they found a, I don't get this. They found yeast in a mummy's belly and they want to make bread out of it. Yeah, well, a little sourdough. Yeah, probably sourdough, right?

Yeah. So it's pre-digested mummy belly stuff. I didn't read much more into it than that. I was like, they were like, they found yeast in this mummy. And somebody's like, hey, I'll take that. That's makes him bread out of it. So the, the, the, the body, the mummified body. Is it from ancient times? Because you can, it's a, it's a modern mummy. Yeah. We're still doing that. Yeah. Well, I mean, is it, was a mummified or is it actually a mummy? Like, you know, they wrap it in bandages. Is that the other mummy's right? It's been, it's 53, it's been a year. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Well, with butter, it probably tastes pretty good. You know, been brewing for thousands of years. Yeah, but isn't this how a horror movie starts? I mean, don't, it doesn't everyone get infected and turn into something. They turn the mummies right? Everybody that eats at the haunted sandwich shop. Right. Right. This is how something starts, doesn't it? All haunted sandwich shop. Is this the oldest starter for a loaf of sourdough that I could think was older? Well, this is how pandemic has changed our thinking.

You know, I've been thinking sourdough because everybody made crappy sourdough during pandemic. Yeah. The first thought before pandemic would have been beer. That was right. It was beer, right? Yeah. I mean, beer out of this ease. Yeah, I would drive a beer than the sourdough out of this mummy. Mummy beer would sell. I mean, guys are the long beards and every stupid, you know, I got no problem with sourdough. Oh, I can grab some toilet paper around your head. Order a pint. This is they actually found four different yeasts in the mummy's guts, skin and even some brownish water that melted off his body. That's called diarrhea. The oldest diarrhea in the world. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. How does it work with the starter? Because do they just take a little bit of that off for each loaf or does the starter just keep going? Yeah. Yeah. I don't even know how that works. My daughter makes it. How do you even make it? Yeah. There's a bread starter in our fridge too. Yeah. Yeah. You just you take a little bit out to start to make with the new loaf and then you feed

it again and it continues to grow. We need you, man. So from the start to the finish, how long does it take to whip up a loaf of sourdough? Oh, I mean, once you have the starter no longer than it takes to bake a normal loaf of bread. Oh, okay. You use yours for sandwiches? I don't do it. My daughter does. You don't eat the bread. No, I eat the bread. Oh, yeah. Well, do you just eat it plain? Yeah. I think it's a little while. I think when she started the starter, it took like a week or maybe two weeks to get it going and then after that, you can use it anytime. It's about a five minute drive to the bakery. That's where I usually get my sourdough. Yeah. Somebody else's professional don't want to bore you there. Sometimes if you get there too early and it's just coming out of the oven, they can't put it through their little slicer machine because it gets all mangled. Well, that happened on the plane. After they gave me the Piscatio's, the cram crackers and pretzels and still to give me my freaking beer. They brought in sourdough bread and said, here you have a few days for a while. Let's dry your mouth out more, parched boy. I don't have a lot of bread or anything. What if I do, I get that whole wheat sourdough?

We were talking about how in the flight, they gave all these salty dry stuff before they gave you a drink, you know, they should. They should give you a drink when you walk on the plane. They should. That's why bars did free peanuts at one time. Yeah. So you drink more beer. But the donkey was so slow, man. So slow. That's a nice lady, but just too slow, man. Pick it up. That's another chapter in the memoir. But the donkey was so slow. Yeah, she was. Yeah, whatever. It was nice flight. It was smooth. That's all that matters. Yeah. Just into it. Yeah, it's direct from DC right now. Cutting this guy open and finding yeast, what compelled them to do that. Seems a two-fight hikers found the modified remains of this guy back in 91. I saw a picture of a guy. He found him in 91. Yeah. I saw a picture of a guy that died on Mount Everest in like 28, 29 somewhere there. And it showed a picture of him like 10 years ago. They somebody spotted it.

And that body was just the skin on his body. He was face down. So you couldn't see his face in the snow. But the whole body was totally intact. And the guy's been in since 28. It's been frozen ever since. Hair, everything. It's well, I couldn't tell if there's, yeah, but this back, his back wasn't eating the way or anything. And she is back in the snow. Well, he was probably frozen solid within an hour of diet. Yeah, I know. And so it never gets above freezing at that point. I don't know. Maybe not. Well, a little global warming. Something's going to happen. It might not. Yeah. I don't know how long it's just 1928. Just laying there, you know, I don't know what the warmest temperature ever at the sum of Everest is. And she did that guy open to make some sourdough out of his ass. Looks like this article says that beer is on the list of what they want to release his yeast for sure. Yeah. And you are correct, Todd, the summit of Mount Everest never rises above freezing. Average is, that's why there's bodies just up there. They're up there for good. Average is around minus 33 Fahrenheit in the winter and minus two in the summer.

Feels like it can get down to the minus 60 minus seven. If you have a relative up there, there's often a windshield factor. A little bit. If you have a relative up there, are you going to want some out of his? No. You're a mountain climber, whatever. Well, that's, isn't that why you want to see like great, great grandfather laying there because you don't, first of all, you don't know that you probably didn't know great, great, great, great grandfather. So, hey, there he is. That's him. Yeah. I don't want to go to a cemetery that's easy to drive up to. Let alone one that I have to mountain near. Yeah, I know that. But the guy's body's right there. You got to go pay your respects, you know, yeah. I think it's a tourist destination. It becomes a cost prohibitive at a certain point. Why you wouldn't do it more than once? Probably right. Right. I'm not going to get much cost to gear up for an Everest adventure, but I'm sure it's not cheap. And I have no interest in that anyway. You know, if you don't have an interest in that Todd, none of us do, you know, no, I'm not a big mountain climber. I'm a, I'm a, I'm a beach and a beach and a rock and a mountain near guy. I mean, if you could drive an ATV to the top, that might be fun. Well, and I mean, if you could, they, they, they probably would have found a way to

do it. Yeah. And with, with all the time, it would be a little dangerous. But all the time you have to spend acclimating and stuff. How long does that? I mean, from the time you leave your house, so you could leave to get on the flight to go to Nepal and everything from the, to the time you get to the summit. And that's a few weeks, isn't it? I would think minimum weeks. Yeah. It's a, it's a time commitment. And you let us figure it up there. Do you let us figure it up? You'd Colorado wants to up a high mountain. You started, started losing it. Probably. Yeah. Well, how else are you going to celebrate getting to a 14,000 foot peak? I might have a smoke. There's no oxygen up here. Let's have a smoke. Yeah. Let's have a smoke. Yeah. If I were inclined to need the 14ers in Colorado, there's one you can drive to, but I haven't even driven to the peak of what is now Mount Blue Sky. What's the, what's the top of Pike's peak? I've been there. That's 13 plus. No, I think that's a 14er. Is it? Yeah. All right. I've been up there. But did you go to the drive there? That's what I'm breaking rich. No, that's South of Colorado. Yeah.

Yeah. 14,000, 115. So yeah, I've been there. Peek-a-d it. Breckenridge is 13 something. I'll tell you the weird part about not picking the Midwest anymore is, especially this part of the Midwest is you really do forget. I wasn't making it. I wasn't jokingly. You forget how flat it is. You do. And I was there 30 years. I used to being flat. It's just, but you really forget how flat it is. I mean, it's really weird. It's a middle turn. It's. It's a middle school day. Well, it's not compared to that. I do like the term, you know? Yeah. It's the middle school dance of the United States, the planes, right? Yeah. You forget how flat it was. Although, yeah, like. You can't argue what's middle school. We get too creepy here. Yeah. Oh, seven, eight, seven, eight. Seven, eight, well. You're an eighth grade, you know? You remember feeling some girl up when you were an eighth grade, too.

Now, every once in a while, there's a Chimney Rock. That was the one girl that was stacked. Oh, yeah. And she dated an older dude. Yeah. Yeah. And her old name is Lauren. That she probably stopped. Oh, I know. She stopped. Personally, I have no recollection of feeling anybody up in middle school. Oh, I do. Oh, you had your own. I do. Oh, no, I could probably stop. I could stop into it. No, I got it right here. Give me a couple of minutes. I could come up with names. Oh, I gave you. I got a name right now. I got three names. Who had the biggest boobs on your hat? Who was flat and who he suspected was stuffing. Yeah, but did you actually get hands on in middle school? Oh, no, no. Yeah, no, that's what I'm saying. Right. I did. I did. I have no recollection of feeling anybody up in middle school because I didn't. Oh, yeah. I got names. I'm not going to say it. Yeah. To protect the innocent. Of course, I was of that age too. Let's clarify this. I was also an age group. It's important clear. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. That's a good rule. Yes. Yes. That's it. That should be it. Let's that be a good thing to have. I didn't have to be one. Of course, I was out of town. Yeah. So locals. Summer of eighth grade. That was the first girl I kissed. And she let me feel it. And nice. Nice. I heard. Yeah. There is a genuine nostalgic smile. Push had his own. Push had his own. I love that one. He's not wrong. Did you practice on yourself? No. Yeah. No. Guys, I stopped. There's a lot of other guys feel the practice. Not a lot. If you were a fat kid, you let other guys feel your boobs. Look for the top calls here. On this program, we always look for the top calls. I did not even try it. Yes. This is the top and top of the radio empire.
