Well greetings from you know where. I thought I would listen live this morning since I almost always listen to the podcast. Gride you're enjoying your candy. Thanks for not pointing out that I have the worst handwriting in the world. And no, I'm not a mercenary. I was never in the military. I give small amounts of money occasionally to people like tunnel to towers and to save American veterans. And I send them in those stupid pre-printed labels to put guilt on me. Have a great day. Oh and by the way, I took that box of candy into our local mail room. When the lady started measuring it and putting it on the scale and tapping into her computer, I knew I was in trouble even though I told her to send it the slowest way possible. Yep, I had a $20 bill on my pocket and I put it on the counter and I think I got two pennies a dime and a nickel in change. Should we go to the post office? Penny's, you got pennies back? Better hang onto that. That's right, those will be worth something pretty soon. Have they actually stopped making the penny yet?
Soon. Soon. Oh. So that's that's that's bureaucrat language right there. I think it's by the end of the year. That's bureaucrat way of asking by the end of the year. That's kind of Valley girl. Got the question mark. But not really. Well, I don't want to save it. Our news people have said it multiple times and just didn't pay attention. Hey, cameo, they still making pennies or not making pennies? See if he buy back. There's a wake. We could well, I know they're awake right now because Joe Joe was back there. So they're they're they're they're sitting at the tension. They're busy working. Not listening to us. I don't even listen to us. Apparently, I know the minute that that rotten with Gina, whatever that's called, I know that the minute that shows over the speakers out there go down to about zero. I'm like, wait a minute. What's this meat? What what? What? Good grief. Sometime in by the way, I should do this anyway.
But if it's tunnel to towers, thank you for helping support them because I do really good work. Um, they will all do. I'll make a contribution of $10 to cars for kids in your name with your address. Hey, it's coming up on the holidays. Those commercials are going to come back here quick. Really Christmas. Oh, sometime in the last week of, I think it was July, add note, Brad Cooper had to tell us boss is something that nobody in uniform ever likes to say. He runs sitcom Central Command. Every American soldier, sailor, say sailor, every airman in the Middle East enters up the chain to him. For two weeks in July, his forces have been bombing Iran's coastline along the straight
of her moons. They were trying to get the mine layers, the launch sites, all those little speedboats that come out at night issued at the tankers. According to axios, citing two people who knew his position, Edmall Cooper, gun to the Pentagon, he had gone to the joint chief and he gone to the White House with a blunt assessment. Most of the targets on the list had already been hit. Our bombing on that same coastline was not going to buy the political side of the equation wasn't going to buy you very much. If Otis wanted more, the next step was going back to full scale war to finish off the rest of the target list. That same Friday, Trump paused the bombing. Now, think about what that meeting takes. You got a four star admiral in the middle of a war telling the commander in chief that the thing we've been doing has hit its limit. Nobody walks into that room hoping to be the one who has to say that.
I can remember many times walking into the Oval Office or the Roosevelt room or meeting the president on the tarmac at the bottom of the stairs of Air Force One to tell him, hey, listen, things really suck. And if you really want to do XYZ blah, blah, blah, blah, I know what that's like. So they changed the job. That's what they did. By late August, at least according to American officials, the Navy and private contractors had cleared more than a hundred suspected mines out of the shipping lanes in the straight of hormones. Ship owners now apply to a Navy coordination cell. The Navy hands them a route and a departure time. The calythe air traffic control except for ships going and tankers going to the straight. The tankers run the lane along the east. Or yeah, it would be no, the west coast. Will the east coast of Omaha, but it's the east coast of the straight and the American aircraft and warships cover the passage from above.
That's slow, boring, but very careful and tedious work. Now, two months after that meeting in July, the editorial board of the Wall Street Journal says, Admiral Cooper has turned the battle around. They actually put it in a headline yesterday. I go home, I'm reading that morning's Wall Street Journal and the title of the story of the editorial is, the battle of hormones is turning. So I spent most of the evening checking the headline and most of it holds up. One piece of it's wrong. And I think honestly it's the piece that matters most to anybody if you're in Colorado or if that matter anywhere and you buy diesel or I get to fill up the beamer today. So that takes the super unleaded premium. The Wall Street Journal's editorial board, their case is short and confident. That's the tanker tracking company says the seven day average of oil coming out through
the strage is about 14.2 million barrels a day. Now before the war, it was 17.1. So today 14.2 before the war 17.1. The editorial board says most of what's still missing is the Iranians own oil. That's the oil that our blockade is stopping on purpose. Saudi Arabia's big pipeline across the desert over to the Red Sea is pumping again after the drone attacks shut it down last month. So that's another door around the strait. And at the same time, the Iranians are running out of money. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says that the Iranian oil still on the water is still reaching China around until probably he thinks about the middle of this month. The United Arab Emirates cut off trade with Iran, Turkey, according to the Treasury Department, pulled the license of one of Iran's big banks, or raining an airliner or being shut out of the region's sky.
They can't go anywhere. At least internationally. On Tuesday, Iran's currency, the real, hit a record low. Are you ready for this? Now, when I tell you the number, just think that someday we could be here if we're not careful. It now takes more than two and a half million reels to buy one American dollar. So you're buying a loaf of bread that, let's just say, costs a dollar. You need two and a half million equivalent of Iranian dollars to go buy a loaf of bread. Now, the editorial board's bottom line is pretty simple. Iran, but the entire world on seizing the strait, and that that is being reversed. The world's oil is getting out, is getting out, is getting into the markets. Iranian oil is not. So let's start with the part that ought to make you feel just a little bit better.
And this big number is real. CMDC reported the capitalist data for Wednesday. That's the last I got the numbers for. Now, the seven days through Monday, crude oil and fuel together moved through hormones at about that 14.2 million barrels a day. The pre-war baseline, 17 million. So that means we're at about 80% of normal. Crude oil by itself though is even better. Kepler has a crude through the strait at 13.5 million barrels a day. That's right where it was before the first bomb fell in February. Now, earlier I told you, the honest range was somewhere between two thirds and 80% and normal, and that the strait itself had averaged about seven million barrels a day back in September. That September was the entire monthly average. The newest week is a lot stronger. So the trend moved in Trump's direction and it moved fast.
Now, I've told you and I've admitted I've been rooting for them all along. So let me say it very plainly and clearly. On crude oil, they were right. Now, here's how they did it. Kepler says about 40% of the gulfs crude now leaves without going through the straight of her moves at all. It's now going by pipeline west of the Red Sea or out to the Gulf of Oman. Before the war, that number was 17% so we've gone from 17 to 40. The gulf producers dug around the problem and then our navy covered the rest. The squeeze on Iran, it's real. The AP confirms the real across two and a half million to the dollar on Tuesday. Three seven days earlier, it was 2.2 million. Before the war is around 1.7 million, that's a currency, but my calculations is losing
more than a tenth of its value in under a month. And the Emirates, to their credit, really did shut off all trade and financial dealings with the Iranians. That happened in August after their the Iranian ballistic missiles were aimed at the shipping lanes off the Emirati's coast. For Iran, that one hurts big time. Now for decades, Dubai has honestly been Iran's back door to the rest of the world's goods. They've shut that door. You've got, I don't care what you think about the UAE, you've got to give them credit for that. Just a little footnote here, I just kind of crossed my mind. And your own partner, in this case, the Emirates, kind of saw the Iranians as a partner, because they can make money off the Iranians. But when that partner of the Iranians starts lobbying ballistic missiles at your two major cities, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, yeah, you're like, well, on here, we're going to get a divorce.
So they really did shut off all the trade and all the financial dealings. And I think they owe, we owe them at least a golf club for doing that. Now yesterday, US Treasury went after the Iranian railroads. It's two biggest car companies and a Russian link-shadow banking network that, by some sense, has been losing money for Tehran. Treasury now claims Iran's oil revenue is down to zero. Now, that's their claim. And nobody outside the government has checked it yet. Every number I can check points the same way, though. It may not be at zero yet, but the trend line is getting to zero. Now, the part that makes me sit up and go, hmm, good. The IRGC, the Iran Revolutionary Guard, has noticed. There are spokesman General Hasein Maheddi sneered this week that the Americans might, really, might sneak a smallest vessel through the straight-ahor news undercover of darkness to export say, oh, 100, 200 barrels of oil.
100 or 200 barrels, General? How about 13 and a half million a day? General, you got to go check your math. Now, there is something wrong with the editorial, and I want to put it out there. The board says most of the oil still missing from the straight is Iran's. When you go to Keperson breakdown, the same data the board is quoting. Crude is back to pre-war level. So where's the gap? It's about three million barrels a day, and almost all of it is fuel already refined, diesel, jet fuel. The finished product that we know from all this war that we've learned about comes from the back end of a refinery. Before the war started, about 3.6 million barrels a day of refined fuel came through hormones. 7-day average from 3.6 million down to 677,000.
That's less than a fifth of normal. So some of what's missing would have been Iran's own fuel. Most of it is the region's refineries. Iran and its allies didn't only shoot at tankers they went after refineries. Keperson made some regions refineries. We're running somewhere around 7-point, I think around 7.3 million barrels a day in August. February 9.9. So you've lost almost 2 million barrels right there. A Navy escort can get a crude tanker safely through a straight. A refinery that's been hit by drones is going to take months to repair and put back together, and the U.S. Navy has nothing to do with that job. So why does that matter in real year, a grand junction, or for that matter on the outskirts of the People's Republic of Portland? Crude oil is the raw material. Diesel is what moves the trucks. Diesel's what brought the UPS truck that got my goobers here today that Dragon Harrow is going to stuff down our goobers this week.
It's in the truck that holds the groceries to the store and it's the tractor out in the field. AAA has caught a metal diesel this morning at $6.6 a gallon. What we heard earlier, Dragon? This week, then we hear somebody say to Adam, I said, he's six, they found it for $4.99. $4.99 I think he said, yeah, I don't know if that's still true, but what you know, text me, whatever you're finding for right now. AAA has it on average. So, you know, your money may vary, but at $6.06 a gallon. If you're a trucker, tell me what you just last paid and tell me where. 3, 3, 1, 0, 3, keyword micro-muckle. Now, the state's all time record was that 10 days ago, September 22nd, 622. A year ago was 346. Regular gas is about 408 and it's actually come down 20 cents in a week. I'm going to find out what premium is sometime today when I take the beamer over to Sam's and choke on whatever that price is going to be. So, the part of the straight
that's open is the crude oil. The part that's still mostly shut is the diesel because, well, refineries aren't operating and so there is no diesel to go through the straight. That's what's hitting Colorado the hardest and quite fineness, what's hitting the country the hardest right now. You rarely hear, I haven't done it. Lexus, Nexus search, but I'd be curious about how many new stories where they talked about it because it's election season. If you don't know it's election season, you're living under a rock. You've turned your TV and radio off. But if you've been watching, you know it's election season because two things are occurring, the incessant commercials and the price of gas every single day. I've been talking about the refining story for weeks. The problem underneath the problem is the refining capacity. That's the problem here at home and the problem over there. And this is the cleanest proof I've seen. The crude came back,
diesel with the pump barely budged. Now, the truckers who text me every week already know that. They don't need a tanker tracker. They've got to be seen from their pocket right now. And one more problem with the editorial, this is the one that the lawyer me is talking. The board opens, the editorial board opens. By saying the tanker tracking groups now confirm what the administration has been saying. Good, that's their exhibiting scapler. But a few paragraphs later, they put a witness on the stand, Richard Goldberg. He's from, and I read this group a lot, the foundation for the defense of democracies. It's a hockey stink tank on Iran. He called the turn industry weeks before most other people did. Now, Mr. Goldberg says that Chris Wright, the energy secretary's numbers are the no kidding barrel counts reported to the US Navy by ship captains. Then he says, open source tools are wrong and the president is right. Wait a minute, will the open source tools? That's kept. That's the exhibit. That's where I go. So in the same editorial, the tanker trackers
prove the president right. The tanker trackers are wrong. And any trial lawyer will tell you what happens when your own witness contradicts your own exhibit. The jury notices that. So, put it on the table. The gap still matters. Trump said Saturday the military is moving about more than more than 20 million barrels of exports. On Wednesday, he said in the last three days, more oil came out of the straight of her moves than at any time, Mr. History. Kepler's number 14.2 million a day before the war 17. So the Navy's counts might be exactly what Goldberg says they are. I'd like to see them. They're not public and nobody outside the government's contract. But here's why come out. The distinction the administration has been describing is right. And the independent trackers now back it up. The record-setting language is still running slightly ahead of anything that I can actually verify.

Michael, I feel like my IQ has increased for not listening to you this morning at all. But I think it's time to start feeling like forced dumps when I'm turning the radio on. Gee, thanks. Thanks a lot. Speaking of which, this is what happens when Goober's
listened and they leave talk bags and hijacks the program, and then dragging goes down some Google rabbit hole and tells me all about it. And I don't believe him because I'm damn annoying in Google. So I spend a little money on Lexus Nexus to find out. Well, for a moment or two, I thought I was going crazy because there was a text that came in that said, hey, I thought they discontinued the penny last year. Like, yeah, but I just swore I heard something from our own news people earlier in the week that something was going on with the penny. And I tried to Google it and everything popped up saying, oh yeah, November 2025, the the men's were stopped making pennies. Like, okay, what did I miss here? In fact, the last circulating penny was struck on November 12, 2025 at the Philly Mint. That ended more than two. Let me just, this is the, so I plugged it into Lexus Nexus and said, just give me a briefing on it. Here's what they write. The United States is no longer making pennies for circulation. Congress has now passed a law to make that permanent and it is sitting on the
president's desk waiting for a signature. The pennies in your pocket are still money spend them. No, is the mint still making pennies? No, the last circulating penny was struck on November 12, 2025 at the Philadelphia Mint. That ended more than 230 years of continuous production. Our own Denver Mint stopped as well. The one exception, collectors, for America's 250th birthday, the mint is striking special collector pennies dated 1776 to 2026 sold in cents. You will not get one in your change. So they must be being sold as proof sets. Yes. So why stop the cost? This is fascinating. Treasury says a penny cost about 1.3 cents to make a decade ago and is now climbed to 3.69 cents per penny. Nice. Treasury estimates stopping saves about 56 million dollars a year,
which is a big honking number, right? But in a three or four trillion dollar budget, that's the change in your couch. Then I ask who killed the president or Congress? Both. One after the other, it says, first the president in February 20, 25, Trump directed Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to stop making pennies calling it wasteful. Treasury placed its final order for penny blanks in May 2025 and then just ran out the supply. Treasury did this under authority already in federal law that lets the secretary decide how many coins the country needs. Then Congress. The problem with the stop by executive decision is that the next Treasury secretary could simply reverse that. So Congress passed the Common Sense Act. The House approves on September 14. This says the Senate approved that this passed Monday, September 28. Ah, see I'm not crazy. It now goes to the president to the president
who is expected to sign it. My next question, what happens to the pennies that we have? Nothing dramatic. No recall. Still legal tender. Banks still take them. They leave circulation the old fashioned way. They end up in jars, junk drawers, couch cushions, fountains, but nothing will replace them. That is why you're seeing shortages. I haven't seen a shortage anywhere, have you? I've seen the signs on on on the restaurants and what not, but nothing. I haven't seen that. What they say we don't accept pennies or we don't give pennies. They say they'll round down around up according to somebody said that we don't have any. So banks have been limited. They say banks are now limiting penny orders. Some stores have started asking for exact change or rounding to your point. One more thing. Don't melt him down for metal. Federal rules prohibit melting pennies and nickels. Now I didn't ask the next question. But this is what Lexus Nexus does. Once the bill is
assigned, businesses get one national set of rounding rules. Here's how it works. It applies only to cash. Cards, checks, and electronic payments are not rounded. You pay to the penny. Ah see, digitally they're going to get you. Rounding happens after sales taxes added on the final total. Toes ending in one, two, six or seven cents, rounded down to the nearest nickel. Toes ending in three, four, eight, or nine cents, round up to the nearest nickel. It is optional. A store that still has pennies can make exact change. A store that follows these rules is protected from lawsuits under federal state and local law. I wonder why he says and look at law. I wonder how that occurs. I didn't. I'm not going to. That'll cost me more money. I'm not going to ask. Until now some states have been making up their own rules. Colorado issued state guidance.
Other states have passed their own laws. Retailers and restaurants lobby hard for one national rule and that's what this bill is going to give them. I didn't ask this, but they put it in the brief. Iron. The nickel is an even bigger money loser. According to the men's latest annual report, a nickel cost. How much you think a nickel cost to make? I eight cents. 13.3. Oh boy. 13.31 cents to make last fiscal year and rounding means more nickels will be changing hands. So the bill lets treasury try a cheaper nickel with a zinc core and a nickel outer layer. It also requires treasury to give 60 days notice before discontinuing any other coin. Translation. Congress wants to say before the nickel gets the same treatment the penny did. It also orders a study of how all this affects people who rely on cash the most. Seniors, low income families, people that bank accounts and radio producers and talk show host
they get paid very low to begin with. That's what it is. That's what it's true. The penny is done. The law making official needs one signature. The nickel still costs more than 13 cents to make. Their leather office chairs reimagine what executive seating can look like, with a modern furniture inspired design, clean silhouettes, premium leather finishes, and a refined aesthetic that actually elevates the room. Still leave TOTMAX, but I would give anything to see a video of that Uber leaving that TOTMAX, whether it was in your car or your office or you're sitting in a doctor's office waiting for your Proctology exam, whatever it is that you're doing, well maybe almost everything that you might be doing. I would like to see the video of you making that TOTMAX.
He's got the wired buds and he's got both of them. He's got the wireless airpods and he's sitting there with the pumps. The pumps just going and he's just sitting there and some you know fit in check to guys. Look at that wallet. That guy's crazy. That guy's crazy. And I am. I can get some money for some more dope from him. On the back of the head. Yeah. And see, we could watch it because if he's doing the video, we could see the fentanyl guy come up from behind and clap him on the head. Now we don't care as long as we get the talk back in the video. It's a slight problem with this because if he's unconscious or dead, he's not going to be able to hit the send button. Well that's true in the guy and then the guy, the fentanyl guy's going to take a phone. Yeah. Yeah. But if you're in the doctor's office, like if you're there for your therapy session for the week and you're waiting to go the receptionist there and you're sitting out there with the other crazy people are getting the therapy for that week. Do your talk back in there. We know where the truckers leave their talk.
We can hear that they're in the cab at the time. But I'm curious about everybody else. Are you like under the covers at home? You don't want the other. No, he was making faces when he did that. You know he was making a failure. So I want to see it. Let's see. 0433. I live in Greeley. I saw a gas here this morning at 353. He said was 586. My son said he saw a gas in right and at 303 this morning. They've all dragged her right in the fill up. Now this this one is probably one of the best text messages we've ever received. Dragon. This comes from Dober number 8105. It says Michael. Do you have any info on what? I'm not reading the screen. What? Do I have any info on what? What? Do you have any info on what? On what? What? On what? What? Who's on first? That's what I know. On what?
Do you have any info on what? Second base? I don't know. They're goobers. I don't know what they're doing. It's Friday. We're going to redo text by really shots. This is the text. Oh, there it is. Yeah. That's a quote. Michael, do you have any info on what? End quote. What would you think I was just making some crap up? I never make up crap on this program. Mike, I pay I drive an F 250. I paid 582 yesterday. I use the gas buddy app to shop. I do occasionally, but I think you can also if I think on Google Maps or Apple Maps, you can actually ask Siri or you can ask somebody like, ooh, what's that? Yeah, I'm not sure about that. 595, what about the crew from Venezuela? Oh, that's a bit. There's a I'll have to research this.
Maybe I'll do it next week. The crew from Venezuela is turning into a fiasco. And guess what Trump's now trying to take out of Venezuela? Gold. And apparently gold is run by what are Venezuelan gangs or mafia do the mining and it's open pit mining too. So it's like the little kids in Bangladesh that are dying of some disease because we got to have a brand new iPhone. Let's see. I can barely fit my hand in those community mailboxes. What? You saying you got bigger hands than Donald Trump? You saying Donald Trump can put his hands in the well-known mailboxes? From the other text line, the textor says the last I looked at the last penny was selling for 500 grand. The last set struck, I'm sure. No. That's what the textor said right here. Well, it must be true.
He said it's on the wrong text line. So it's, you know, it's some doofus that has not yet learned to text 3-3-1-0-3. Yeah, 3-3-1-0-3, Microweak Michael. Jiminy Christmas, you people. I don't have time to do this next story now. Kill some time, Dragon. You've got lovely hair. I do. I've got advanced hair. My hair is advanced. And you are. You've worn a white shirt ever since I made fun of your red, you red pink shirt. You call it red. I had a blue shirt on yesterday. I don't know. I had red sneakers on. Can't believe in a test of the sneakers because she even said something about, oh, I like those sneakers. Only because you have more shoes than she does. Probably so. I still want to know, do you have any info on what? This is going to bug me for the rest of the day. Do I six or eight one oh five? Do you have any info on what? What?
You're also fascinating. We can dive into the text line as to what previous text that textor has sent. I got to go look. Okay. Go ahead. Go ahead. Well, I look. There's nothing else. That's the only test this person is ever sent. Well, Dragon, maybe they're new. I was trying to find maybe some context clues. Maybe they're the other. Maybe something. Because when we are looking at the text line, we're seeing a group chat where you're seeing an individual chat. So if you say something and then say something 30 seconds later, for us, it could be 10 text messages removed. Right. So yeah. So we have to dive in occasionally. Look, what are you referring to? Nothing. The show about what? Signed, filled. The show about nothing. This is the show about what? Hey, I'm Mike Am. And I'm Trevor Sikama. And together, we host the NFL Fantasy Football Show.
