part of me wants to give a play by play here. Should I do that? Should I give a play by play of what's going on behind the scenes here at News Talk 98 7 W. O. K. I first let me tell you which are broke till noon. Bob Yarborough here, Robin Jaffee's handling news. Folks, we got musical chairs underway, land and don't unplugging to make way for Jennifer Johnson who's plugging in as well, putting on her microphone sock, the red sock here. Let's play by play. I told you I was going to do this. And here she is making way for London down. All right. All right. All right. Thank you, Landon. You just ever have one of those mornings. Oh, yeah. It is one of those mornings for you. Well, all right. Hopefully we can hang out for a couple of hours and improve it just a little bit. Okay. Okay. Okay. Robin Jaffee, if you had one of those mornings, mine started last night. Ah, you're

one of those mornings started hours ago, right? Yeah. You were wanting to keep an eye on the situation unfolding in Nashville, if the the lethal injection. And we're going to talk about this today. A couple of things in the 11 o'clock hour folks. And what we're going to talk about is what's next, what happened. I've got some, some comparisons that you might find a little bit unusual, perhaps even bizarre. I've heard a few things, but I don't know how official they are. So, well, these are, these are my opinion. So very unofficial is what I would tell as far as what I'm going to, what I'm going to compare some things to there, but a lot of things, a lot of folks, about to my friends have reached out to family, friends, texting, what, what about this? What about that? Asking all kinds of questions about this situation in Nashville. I have strong opinions and I may go to Hades for them.

I don't know. Well, well, if you've got a question about what's happened overnight, what's coming, whatever it might be, I would invite you to text it in. I can't guarantee you that I will have an answer. I will see what we can do for you. But in the 11 o'clock hour, I got some things going on about the Christa Gale Pike, lethal injection fiasco. Yeah, that happened overnight. By the way, I saw yesterday that the Supreme Court, US Supreme Court got involved and said, up, we're going to remove the stay. And then they really didn't know what time anything might happen in Nashville. And then I guess I don't know, six, seven, eight o'clock. It looked like it was going to move forward. And this was about nine or 10. I finally said, you know what? I was asked to wait until I'll wake up in the middle of the night. And I'll grab my phone then and see what happened. And about 230, I opened it up and I'm like, oh boy, what a Charlie Fox truck that's going to be. Man, oh man,

yeah, I heard it was going to happen before midnight. Didn't know when I just happened to turn the TV on at nine and saw this breaking news. They're covering it. And I thought, is she dead? So I can't start watching. And then I'm like, what the heck? Yeah, you know, the the the answer to that question is still not 100% known. No. We know all we know is what was told to us at the, yeah, the last thing we heard was taken to the hospital. She was still alive. Well, T.Doc has finally said, yes, she did leave here to go to the hospital. That's all they've said. That's all they've said. Hey, we don't know of any. Probably need an attorney. We don't know of any news conference or anything like that. I have not heard of any. I keep kind of looking at all the networks and yeah. Well, if they have a news conference, we'll do our very best to bring it to you. Okay, but right now, it doesn't seem to be different. Everybody out last night. You can stay an hour to do your live shows and get off the property. That that would be something I would consider an inappropriate

deuces. Yes. Yeah, they were probably like, just trying to figure it all out. Well, all these reporters had been there all day. And I guess all night to a certain degree. So, oh boy, oh boy. Have you ever seen an execution? No, and I do not have the desire. Yeah, meaning there, I mean, I'm in movies, but you know, how realistic they're not realistic. It looks awful. Yeah, I know folks, fellow former friends and are there still friends, but former reporters that I worked with who have witnessed them. And I have I'm fascinated by their description, but I have no desire to be a media witness or any kind of witness to an execution. How about would you guys do it? No, no, not for me. I would have someone killed someone I loved. I'd probably want to see them. Sure, sure. Yeah, that might be the one exception. That would be the exception, yes. But just to do it as a reporter, nah, nah, I might. It depends on the case. Well, we'll send you or we'll apply for you to go next time

if you so choose, but I wouldn't do it. I just wouldn't do it. Our number, by the way, I said, text us questions 865 855 8255. That's the new number 855. I did remember about them apples. Like apples. There you go. So we'll do Christa girl pie. What's next? I think is the big question there. So we'll get into that in the 11 o'clock hour. We've got another opportunity for you to qualify for the Tennessee Theater and their Broadway series six plays are part of this. We got season tickets to give to one of you. And I got a trivia question. That's just a great. Yeah, it's a great prize. And I got a trip. By the way, today is the birthday of the Tennessee Theater. It opened on this date, October 1, 1928. And they're cashless. They are cashless. Yeah, just started. I think today actually really. Well, maybe they're celebrating their anniversary by bringing you the

latest and greatest allegedly in technology. 98 birthday. 98 birthday for the Tennessee Theater. It's such incredible. It's such a beautiful theater. Do you guys realize how close we were to to that going away? If James Dick had stepped in, that would have been a pile of rubble probably. It's what Thomas has kind of told us. Yes, I don't know all the ends and outs like Bob does. But I do know within the first few years of me moving here, it was like a big 20 million dollar renovation. It was a huge. Maybe more than that. A huge renovation project there that saved it. It's so beautiful. Yeah, it's saved it. Restored it back to its glory. Somebody saw it's potential. Well, you know, it's it's places like that that we just are knocking down at a whim across the country. No condos. Well, and this was before even the condo craze of Knoxville. It was just in such bad shape. People just saw it as well. Knock it down. We'll build something else. Gosh, man, I'm so

thankful that they saved that theater and restored it. It is probably my favorite venue of all time. So cool. It is. I love that Tennessee Theater. You can go there for anything. Anyway, 98th birthday to day Tennessee Theater. So happy birthday. Yeah. trivia question before we wrap it up today to qualify somebody for those season tickets. All right, audio brunch today. Buddy of mine on one of the social media platforms sent me and a new video. Randy, thank you for that. And this is kind of an update on the digital price tag story that we've discussed for a couple of a couple of times through the past few weeks here. Something I think is you need to consider this when you're out and you see these digital price tags. We already know that, you know, some folks are saying, hey, I got the product off the shelf and the shelf price, digital price showed it was this. I get to the register and it was higher. And so far all the store managers are going, well, it was a glitch.

Yeah, sure. Well, you know, you can't prove them wrong or not. So anyway, there's something apparently something else we need to be on the lookout for. It will take forever to shop if you have to take a picture of the price tag of everything you buy and prove what it was when you picked it up. Totally not a fan of that. That's for sure. So let me see. Oh, I know one other thing I wanted to talk about Danny White tweeted the athletics director at the University of Tennessee. Do you see his tweet from yesterday? I didn't. Oh boy. Uh oh. No, I think it's a good thing for fans that you see. Oh, you mean the concession? He said inspired by volnations incredible response to unusual pregame circumstances last week. Happy hour at Neal and Stadium will be at effect for the remainder of the season. Gates will open three hours early, half price concessions available for the first hour, assuming that means alcohol like it did last weekend. So Neal and Stadium's

got a happy hour. Who would have ever thought that? Maybe do you think with everybody showing up early because of all the stuff going on? Did it just make life easier all around? Well, probably he says, I hope this is a small way we can show our appreciation to the best fans in the country. See you Saturday. And yeah, they absolutely were encouraging fans to get in early this past weekend. And a lot of folks got in there a couple of hours early. And I've seen some social media posts since the game on Saturday of these fans saying, you know, it was kind of cool to see the stadium filling up so early, so far ahead of kickoff. So, hey, happy hour. That's the hour. I'm going to get a happy hour Saturday. I probably won't because I'm going to be sitting in the downpour long enough. I don't need to add to it. Oh, yeah. I forgot about that. Hey, whether people around East Tennessee, I love you all. And I know many of you and I sure hope you're wrong. I hope your forecast for Saturday is so far off base that you will be embarrassed by

that. I hope so for your sake. Because what I saw last night, I don't know that a poncho will be enough. I think just go out in the concourse with 110,000 of your closest friends. Just prepare to get there's lightning. They'll play anyway. Well, unless there's lightning. Yeah. Yeah. Don't make everybody go into that. I may go to one of these these play it again sports type stores, you know, or any place that might have this. I don't know if these stores would have it. And see if I can find just one of those diver wetsuits. If you do, pick up the nice and comfy with the goggles and possibly even the oxygen tank. And so if you see somebody walking around Neal and stadium dress like that with flippers on and everything, it could be your boy here. You'll trip on those stairs. That's okay. That's all right. I won't get soaked. I hope the forecast is just so far off

that it's it's not even funny, but we'll see. But yeah, the Neal and stadium happy hour folks, that's a great idea until it isn't. And we may see that at some point not be a good idea because it gets abused. But I don't know, man, these folks spending time at the tailgate, they're probably pretty sourced already when they get in the stadium. Oh, you mean they drink it? I know it's breaking news here on the yard, bro. It's what we do. I found these examples of this social media poster on these retro hills that he would die on. I'll die on these retro hills. And I thought, okay, I kind of agree with just about everything on here. Oh, I'm curious. All right, here it is. And I'm not saying these are controversial. I think most of us, and specifically, you know, the millennials, the Gen-Xers, and we would agree with, I think all of these, the original MTV was better than anything that came after it. All these music channels,

of course, because it was fresh. It was new. It was like, oh my god. And it was music. And it was actual videos, videos. Even though in the early days, we're like, I don't know who this group is, or what this song is. But I love it. It's still cool. All right, I'll die on these retro hills. Saturday morning cartoons should still exist. Yes. Absolutely. No, if they do or don't, but it's not whatever it is, it's not the same. No, you're three channels. You could watch, you know. Yeah, you can find looney tunes on 2B. See, that's why they don't exist anymore. Because it's on 2B. It's available in so many other places. Now, we'll tell you this, that some of the bugs, Bonnie stuff that I remember from back in the day, they would have to, they would have to, they'd probably have to edit some. Yeah, they probably know. And again, I'll be watching something. I'll be like, oh, it's not even foul language. It's just, it's just, uh, windows, references and in-your-windows. Yeah. But that's what in hindsight made them so glorious,

I think, you know, that's why our generation is so cool. Yeah, it is. Look at it. It's huge, and I'll die on these retro hills. The 1980s had the greatest movie soundtracks. I think I could agree with that. All right. Think purple rain, think top gun, think dirty dancing. Oh, yeah, there's foot loose. Breakfast club, pretty in pink, fast times at Ridgemont High. Those are solid, man. Those are solid. We went to the future in the 80s. Yeah. Yeah. That's a great soundtracks. Yeah. Yeah. I think I'm pretty too darn loud. Pretty sure that was absolutely an 80s. There's too loud. Oh, they, yeah. Yeah. The performance by Michael J. Fox there. Yeah. And finally, I'll die on these retro hills. This is, this is, you have to, if you're not of a certain age, you don't even know what this is. McDonald's tasted better when everything came in styrofoam.

Just the way it was, man, everything was in a styrofoam box. There you go. Some retro hills to die on. I know. I know. If you so choose, there you go. All right. Let's get good news in here. Okay. So a couple of things bouncing around. You got any questions about the whole situation in the lethal injection of Christa Gale Pike. I can't promise you. I'll get you the answers. I will try. I got a lot of things about what happened. What is next that we'll get into next hour. And if you got some good news as well, please share that with us at 865 855 8255. We're getting safer. Tell me something good. It's up next on your bro and news. Talk 987. Got good news for you every weekday about the same time. And we call it tell me something good. And sure, you can share good news with us at 855 8255. Tell me something good brought to you by Central City, heat and air. Central City, heating and air conditioning, keeping you in your comfortable zone for more than 50 years at

your comfortable zone dot com. Jennifer mentioned something to me just a second ago and a surprise. It's October 1st and you don't have your Halloween decorations out. No, I'm behind. It's unacceptable. It's because it fell in the middle of a week. What were you doing last weekend? Well, not that early rather than late with this. It should be. I should have already had it done. I'm very disappointed in myself. I'm kind of disappointed myself in you. I'll do it this weekend. It's gonna day loose. Yeah, that'll be a perfect time to do it. Oh, I don't do outside. Oh, all inside. Oh, I thought you decorated on the outside. Yeah, yeah, I have a pumpkin. Let's carve it up. We will eventually. Yeah. Michael says with my wetsuit idea, go with the wetsuit, the goggles, the galoshes, and don't forget your Tennessee wall cap. On top of the well to you. I wonder what the chances are

I could find a Tennessee orange wetsuit. How cool would that be? I bet you could. Everything is made and made it. It's right. Maybe they do make an orange wetsuit. Jaden Sink and Kimberly LaPrad had it all figured out. They're a couple from Rowan, Oak, Virginia. They had planned a small wedding ceremony off of Hatteris Island in North Carolina, about 45 family members and friends. Then it happened. It is a storm that blew in. It caused damage to Highway 12 there on P Island, which cut off the only road there, leaving the pair and a few members of their wedding parties stranded. Oh, they could have canceled the wedding. A friend posted a social media invitation instead asking locals and vacationers who were already there to come out and celebrate total strangers. You are welcome. And wouldn't you know it more than 400 people answered 400. They invited 45 of their friends and family opened it up 400 showed up.

Stacey Saunders who runs Frisco Woods Campground offered the pavilion to help out open cabins for the wedding party and volunteered to officiate. They had a DJ play in music, a photographer documenting the day, residents and visitors brought food and supplies that crowd though grew so large that the food ran out and more kept arriving from across the island. Could have been a disaster but turned into something that they will note out, talk about for years to come. Sometimes rather the universe is paying attention when you do a good deed. You know, many of us go no good deed goes unpunished, right? But sometimes the universe pays attention and when you do a good deed, it pays you back such as the case with a man known only as David. Dave was walking into his nearby courthouse with a cooler bag of food. He was not allowed to take that inside, but instead of just throwing the food away, he saw what appeared to be a homeless man there lying asleep next to the courthouse. So he walked over and just set the bag of food next to this person. And later that day on his flight, another passenger

asked if they could switch seats. So he would be able to sit next to his wife. David said, of course, he moved and he sat down in a few minutes later, that passenger walked back with $60 cash in his hand and said, you got to take this. Well, Dave refused it, but the man insisted, put it down in his lap and turn and walked away. So many times you do the right thing. No one notices. That's okay too, but sometimes you do nice things like David did. The universe will step up and reward you even if it's something like $60 in cash. Hey, you remember a few weeks ago, a week or two back, we talked about the the fat bear week going on at the park in Alaska. Yeah. Isn't that awesome? Well, they would get trail cam videos of a lot of their plump bears and put them online in a March Madness style bracket. So you vote and the bears would advance. Well, the contest in its 12th year, this single elimination bracket built around about 2,200 brown bears that live in Alaska voters pick the bear that looks

most ready for winter. This year, 16 bears in the field, including five families all voting done online. People could watch the animals on the live cams before casting their ballots and backpack. That's the name of the bear officially known as bear 89, but backpack took the title Tuesday with more than 100,000 votes, which is just over half of the final tally. And backpack is the son of former champion, Holly. Ranger say he got his name because as a cub in 2006, he would climb onto his mother's back when they swam the river. So backpack. Okay. Last year's winner, you well, remember, he talked about it. Chunk was estimated at about 1200 pounds. He didn't win this year. He didn't repeat. And these adult males, many times top of 1,000 pounds before hibernation, they eat about 30 fish a day. They lose about a third of that weight over the winter months. The park service congratulates backpack and they run her up and thank the bears for eating and

napping and growing enormous. So we'll look forward to the the fat bear contest coming up next year in Alaska. Good news brought to you by Central City Heat and Air, Central City heating and air condition and keeping you in your comfortable zone for more than 50 years at your comfortable zone dot com back with your text messages next here on your bro. So in this day, of artificial intelligence, I don't know if what Joe just said and is is legitimate or AI created. But he sent in a photo of and check that check it out, Jennifer. It's Joe. A photo of a dude wearing a Tennessee volunteer wetsuit like we're joking about. But I don't know if it's legit. No way. Look that up. Oh, is that swimmer suit though? Like what a swimmer, an athlete? I don't have a clue what it is. Oh, are these triathlon people that do the water

and the road and the thing and I'm gonna research it. I don't know what it is. It's sharp looking and I will pay you 50 bucks if you will walk around. It's skin tight folks. And by skin tight, I mean from head to toe skin tight. It's sharp looking but like where do you have to go to bathroom? That's got to be hard to go. Well, it's gonna be raining. Just go. Who's gonna notice? You're gonna be drenched. Who's gonna do that? If that thing is waterproof, I need to know the cost. It is really nice looking but it does look like an athlete. I get the in you window. I get the hands you're dropping there does look like an athlete's wearing that bomb. I'm not sure it's for you. That I finished your sentence for you. I did not say that. I know you didn't say that. I did. But you thought it. You're like, I think skin tight. You don't need to be bouncing around in there. All right. I think it'd be uncomfortable. Be uncomfortable for everyone who saw me coming.

Saw me heading their way. They'd say, look, he did it. Gosh, man. If that thing is real and it's waterproof and we can get it before Saturday, I would consider it. See, which at Joe, send me if that thing is real, Joe, send the link. And it may be AI created. I don't know what it if it is or isn't. Regarding what we were discussing earlier, a lot of you are sending in some good questions about the Christchurchel pike lethal injection. I called it a saw in the middle of the night that this whole thing in Nashville turned into a ginormous Charlie Fox trot. So I think if you know what that is, good. If you don't, then I'm sorry. I can't say anything other than that. Jason goes Charlie Fox trot is the 100% best description of last night. It's so accurate. It is. Regarding the happy hour at Neal and Stadium, which they're going to do, they're going to open

the gates at Neal and Stadium, the rest of the year for the home football games. And three hours before kickoff and offer half price concessions, including alcohol the first hour like they did this past weekend. And Nathan's point to this is now a beer is the price of a 12 pack instead of a 24 pack. The thing about the alcohol beer cost at Neal and Stadium that I want to remind for and I'm not saying it's cheap. It is, it is far from cheap. I get that. But you go buy one of those beers at the concession stand. You pay full price. Yeah, what is it? 14, 15, 16 bucks. You don't even know depending on which one you get. They're up there. But those cans are the size of two beers. You're basically buying two beers. And again, I'm not saying this is cheap. But when you split that, it's the okay. I'm paying, let's say 15 bucks for two beers. Now you got 750. You're paying. You go to any other stadium in the in the country and you're going to pay

about the same thing for a single beer, perhaps a plastic cup of nasty beer for the same cost. Right. And I'm not defending them. I it's expensive. But yeah, I understand what you're saying there. I want to save some of these questions. Yeah, Ryan's got a question. I'll go ahead and answer for you, Ryan. We keep saying that the rest of the lethal injections scheduled in Tennessee for the rest of this year are on hold now. They've been postponed. He's saying, okay, how many have been scheduled to my knowledge? Only one other one was scheduled. That's just one that Gary Sutton in December. Yeah. So I think that it seems to be just one more that was scheduled for December of this year. Ryan, that is a that's a good good question. Thank you for that. Hey, Dave. Good morning, sir. Welcome into Yarborough. Yes. Good morning. The funeral director, when my brother passed away in June said it was a first. My brother said, I will not have tears

at my funeral. And his casket was Tennessee orange. So he was was it one of the official Tennessee caskets? No, it was just one he special ordered. And where the handles were with the checkerboard, the fighting orange checkerboard. What did this for you guys? Some funeral director out in Utah where he lived. Man, that's, but they ordered it because he said, I don't want anybody sad at my funeral. That's pretty amazing. What do you think it looked like and did it work? It worked. And it glistened in the sun. But it did, man. That's awesome sounding. That's a fan, buddy. That is a fan for sure. Thank you guys. Thank you, Dave. Appreciate you, man. I did go to a funeral of a buddy of mine several years back who was a huge Tennessee fan. And he wanted much of the same thing. He was a huge Dave Matthews fan too. And so he unfortunately had a

condition that was diagnosed and knew his time was limited. So he was able to put together the funeral and tell what he wanted and how he wanted it done. So he was able to handle all of that. Two things he wanted for sure. He wanted Dave Matthews playing as people walked in. That's nice. Right. Yeah. And I will tell you, it's kind of odd standing in a funeral parlor and hearing Dave Matthews. Yeah. But it was, I'm not going to say it was uplifting, but it was, it was kind of comforting knowing that this is what he wanted. This was his jam. And the other thing he wanted is I do not wear dark colors. I do not want anybody in dark colors. If you, if you can wear Tennessee orange. Oh cool. Of some type. Yeah. But do not wear dark colors. Either you do orange, but do something bright if you don't want to do orange. And that's, uh, that's what he chose. My mom was not a muse because they actually did have a UT coffin when we had to go do my dad's and I make jokes probably in appropriate times. I said, my dad was a huge UT

fan. And as I am because of him, but I said, there you go. Mom, dad would love that one. And she goes, I'm not bearing your daddy in it. And it was a UT coffin. Yeah. I had the power tea on the lid when the lid was open. I said, there's what we should get him. Mom, mom was not a muse. I mean, is that what I liked is I, you know, I know the answer to this question. Is that going overboard with your brand marketing, putting on a casket? The answers no. Because to change people are buying them. Yeah. Folks are buying these things. What do you want on your casket? I don't want to casket. Oh, yeah. You want to get a little. I'm going to get cremated. Yeah. Yeah. We need to open up the lid. How? That's so morbid. But yeah, I mean, I don't want all that. I don't want a party and just. You'll fry me. Yeah. That's morbid too. I know. But yeah, those are my wishes. The whole topic is morbid, but it's necessary. It is. And it's good to plan. I mean, how many, how many circumstances have you been around where you have no idea what the person wants? There's no

plan. And so you, while you're grieving or trying to figure this out, you know, my mom, after my dad passed away back in December, she planned everything. She goes, we're not doing that. I'm not going to do that to you. She figured it all out. Wow. Got it done. Yeah. There's, you know, everybody has their time when they think about these things, I think. Are your plans on paper? Are do your significant relatives, your husband and your family, they know? My significance, no, and it is written on a post. My office sure. I don't find that. She said anything happened to me. Please tell me the wording. Oh gosh, I don't even know. Is it pretty detailed? I wrote it a couple of years ago when I went in for my, my stint that I had to have for my heart. Yeah. I mean, just you're just a world of unknown. You have no idea how commonplace that surgery is. And you're like, oh, God, what if something happens? But not always. I was still writing all my notes down on a on post. It's and I said, don't my husband. I said, here, if something happens, this is what I want.

Did they ask you? Do you have a living will? Yeah, they always ask you that. Yes, me all those. How did you say? Yeah, it's on a post. But I got one. Yeah. My wishes are, I know we have got to get it together. My husband and I do. We have not done anything here. It's awful. We need to do it. It's just one of those things. Well, here's the problem. I don't know. Like, would that post it? I mean, seriously, if she signed it, they could try to do that. Is it legally binding? I don't know. I don't. If they had her signature on it, it could be. I wonder, could you take your phone, record a video of literally saying what you want? Maybe possibly. What would they say? I these days, who knows? But yeah, then it could be, it's like, I impersonate you. I'd like to think that it's not going to be a situation where they have to go through all of this. Hopefully they'll just respect my wishes and do what I want. I hope it's not like, well, you know what? I think that you should do it this way. Well, you're officially on the record, broadcasting your plans over the air.

We go back, clip this and store it for you and you can make sure they know where to find it. Yeah. Yeah. I want to be cremated and play rock and roll music. None of that doom and gloom stuff. What about the attire of those in attendance? Where would you want? I'm not here. That's enough, right? I think we've covered enough on this. So you've made it very succinct for those who are listening. Folks, we're all witnesses to, to Jennifer's wishes. I rarely do in any aspect of life. Do well and get that done. Even some days, that's questionable. Joe, we responded. It is, it is an AI image, unfortunately, but Tennessee wet suits. Very convincing. Oh, I was like, please be real. I'm going to do some searching. That would be so cool. legit. It would be. All right, folks, I got audio brunch coming up for you. Next listener, Randy sent this in and it has to do with the digital price tags that we've

discussed a few times here recently on your bro. Find out what it is with audio brunch. Next on News Talk 987. Let me tell you what I did find on a Google search. Found a couple of things. First off, officially licensed University of Tennessee branded thermal wet suits are not commercially manufactured or sold. That's officially licensed. So now I've just done a generic search of orange wetsuit. Guess what? There are a few pop up. Really? Okay. Is it the correct color of orange? It's close. I don't think if I wore a wetsuit to the football game this weekend, people would be focused on the color. Probably not. They would notice that it's orange. They'd all be going, where do I get one of those? But they wouldn't be going, they'd be right orange. And by the way, take a look at the stadium sometime and all the fans there and just notice there's about a dozen shades of orange scatters. That is very true.

I mean, some of you folks are out there wearing peach, calling it orange. No, stop that. There's a Walmart's got one for 38 bucks. It's black with orange sleeves close. Okay. Another website's got one little more orange in it for 68 bucks. I'm frugal. Grab that $38. Yeah, again, I don't think the actual color is the important part of this. If you see somebody in an orange, it could be polka dot. People aren't going to, they're going to just notice the suit. You see somebody in an orange wetsuit at the game Saturday. Come say hi. You'll know it's me. Put a, a Y like a Superman instead of the S. It's going to be a Y. If I see multiple orange wetsuits at the game Saturday, I'm going to, I'm going to approach you and go, I did steal her. So beware. Okay. But you're more than welcome to steal that.

We've talked about those digital price tags that are showing up in grocery and retail stores across the country. You can find videos of customers in some of these stores who claim that the price changed between the shelf and the register. It was higher at the register, of course. The shelf price was lower. The register price higher stores where this has happened. They say it's a glitch. It's a digital system. It was just a glitch. Well, my buddy Randy sent me a video recently that shows another potential concern of the digital price tags. I didn't even thought of this. And we kind of talked about, remember we talked recently about the price per ounce part of the price tag. So if you get two products, let's say, you know, spaghetti, for instance. And they have, they're different servings. You got a 15 ounce package here and an eight ounce package there. You can't really easily compare the prices, but you can look on there for the price per ounce and compare that and go, okay, this is the better deal. This video, a shopper claims, listen,

I understand this is one of those names or at least I think it is. He claims his name is Jimmy Rig. Jimmy Rig. That's not a real name, is it? No. I don't think I mean. I'm going to go with it's not. Okay. Okay. Anyway, he does the basic math. He takes the price per ounce number listed on the digital price tag and then he multiplies it by the number of ounces in the product. And here is what he found. It's today's audio brunch. Listen to this. Tone's restaurant black pepper at $0.98 an ounce time to $0.08 is $7.84. That's an overcharge of $0.98. This one is huge. The McCormick's Italian season at $2.26 an ounce times 2.25 ounces is $5.09. That's an overcharge of $2.24. The McCormick's lemon pepper season came out to an overcharge of

$2.03 and the Kinder's Prime Steak season came out to an overcharge of $0.46. As well as the Kinder's butcher blend season and came out to an overcharge of $0.57. So the question is that this happening in all 4,600 stores in the US or just this store. What Jimmy Rig is claiming in this video is that a store he says is Walmart has a per ounce price on the digital price tag. But when you do the math, the price exceeds what the full price listed is. Does that make sense? It makes sense. Yeah. Okay. But he's doing yes. Yes. That for reals. Well, he says it is, right? He says you do the per ounce multiplication and compared that with what is listed as the full price, the per ounce price is going to be significantly less, which is going to cause you to what? Choose the lower per ounce price when you think it's also a lower price based on the full listing

there. But according to what he found, the math ain't mapping. Okay. So if you're looking at the per ounce price to make your decisions about what to buy, a lower number in the per ounce will definitely get your attention. Maybe when you're shopping at a store that uses digital price tags at least spot check and compare the per ounce cost with the listed total cost and see if it matches up. Keep that in mind. It could make a significant difference as you you just heard there. I don't know, man. I think we got these digital price tags. Just pay more attention. I think is ultimately the choice. Pay attention to the price it is when you pick it up off the shelf and how much it rings up for the register and also compare the per ounce prices. Mr. Jimmy Rig, thanks for your work, sir. Yeah. And come clean on your name, man. I know it's not Jimmy Rig. All right. Okay. Next hour, I got a couple of things for you.
