Sorg and Mad Mike remember PAC, reflecting on his Neville years, NXT and 205 Live, Death Triangle, and the matches that made him one of wrestling’s most distinctive performers.
They also review AEW All Out, discuss Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page’s ongoing rivalry, and debate the value of AEW’s secondary championships when their holders pursue the world title. Could Lee Moriarty use the Continental Classic to reach a new audience? Should Penta’s championship opportunity come through Money in the Bank?
Plus, AEW’s women’s division, Jaida Parker’s dramatic angle with Jacob Fatu, the 946 storyline, independent wrestling updates, and 205 Live nostalgia.
In “What We Learned,” the hosts reflect on appreciating wrestlers and fans, making memories through respectful interactions, and giving yourself permission to step away when needed.

This show is brought to you by IndieRestling.us and IndieRestling.net work for your independent wrestling entertainment. Slice on Broadway, supporting Pittsburgh podcasting with the perfect pepperoni pizza. Swap, just wave, just wave, just wave, just wave. Wait for the perfect time in the day. Go give a bunch of what you want. Take it back. Wait for the perfect time in the day. Go what you want. Go make it back. Wait for the perfect time in the day. It is the Wrestling Mayhem show episode 1,022 episodes of Tuesdays. We've been talking about professionalized wrestling. I'm Mike Sorgat, Sorgatron on the social media, Sorgatron Media Studios here in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We are here. Oh, I got extra mics open. That's interesting. We're here to talk some wrestling. The good bad in the ugly, I guess, this week.
With me to do that is Mad Mike up there in upstate New York, Hudson Valley, whatever you want to geographically call it. You're going to be at the New York Comic Con this weekend? Not this weekend. New York Comic Con next weekend. Yeah, I'm very excited for it. Yeah, lots of good stuff. Excellent. Excellent. We were talking about what was going to be there and everything. I put a recommendation to please meet Mina when you go in there. Because I mean, everybody wants some Mina. You shouldn't pass up the chance if you have the opportunity. I'm just saying. Very good point. If you're on video, I know it's a little different style with me this week. I keep forgetting to bring this into the studio. It's so comfy. I've just had it at home and just kind of wrap it around myself when it's a little cooler. This is a scarf that the wonderful Aaron Woods brought me back from Japan. It's upside down as well. It's a G1 climax scarf. He went to Japan and did a whole bunch of fun stuff over there for a few weeks.
I guess sent the kid home and stuck around for the climax finals. He was telling me about going over and I'm like, dude, you know New Japan is doing climax right now. I don't know where you're going, but they're everywhere when they're doing this. What is 20-something dates or something? He ended up sticking around. I think he saw a Kyrgyn Hall or something like that. He brought me back this wonderful little scarf he's scarf from New Japan, which I will cherish. It will warm me and everything. It'll go nice with my New Japan jacket. I feel like I can do that little scarf under the jacket kind of thing. You know what I mean? Matt and Mike found one. Absolutely. Yeah. I think you can rock it. Yeah, yeah. That's my style now. That's my, you know, I've been talking with somebody about the, you know, how do you, they're trying to be the, be the asshole smart mark fan for Halloween. Oh, this is how I should roll into a W tomorrow night. Oh, yeah, there you go. Oh, yeah, that's appropriate.
That's appropriate as hell. It's a little chilly. I think I can bring the track jacket out. The New Japan 50th anniversary. Okay, enough bus style. Talk about that. New Japan styleings. You know what I mean? So, but we should start off with the, you know, the unfortunate big news from this past weekend. You see in the corner there. I got remembering the bastard. And again, man, this is, it seems like left right in coming from all directions when we're talking about this stuff. But the shocking, shocking news yesterday. I know I saw it and it was posted like nine minutes ago. We just got him back from our event and everything and was settling in at the Airbnb on Sunday night. And to see the pocket pass, which is absolutely a shock, definitely, you know, watching the watch level, you know, probably half of the people view the night before we were out of the event. So I didn't get to get through all of it right off the bat. But, you know, and just like, you know, he was just, he was just wrestling, you know, the guy's 40 years old.
The news so far is, I believe, as a cover restaurant, he was out there. Inside, I had left it was in his car. Some patrons had called 911 because he was passed out on responsive and everything. So no cause of death or anything like that is officially reported. No, no initial view of foul play. It was in Cook County, which I believe is Illinois. So he was exiled in vicinity of Chicago is my understanding. So and and and correct me if I'm wrong with that that presumption. But yeah, that's a Chicago Illinois suburb or county or something like that. So, but yeah, it's it's wild to, you know, obviously we had, you know, right here, some of us were present for the incident involving the butcher at Andy Williams. And, you know, and still kind of honestly, bowing with that, you know, I hung out with a friend this this weekend that's still going through it.
That was present for that as well as part of their show. And a little bit of a, I have feelings that I am hard to describe that we're having a tribute for a pop that passed in the city where the butcher passed. Tomorrow night for dynamite. I know it's timing and everything like that. And it's just just coincidence and whatnot. But that's a very, you know, and only effects, you know, a small number of us that were at that show in the grand scheme of things. But yeah, that again, just such a shock, you know, whatever happened there and and hopefully we'll find out sooner or later what actually did happen. But man, that is a, a box definitely, you know, one of those guys that he was never the flashiest, you know, but it was like I always approach, like to me like you know, as a quasi-review
of last night, the matches I was most interested in order were the Champa Ocata and Andrade Pock and then the main event with Moxley and Osprey, right? Like it was always, he made moments. One of my favorite things that he ever did was, other than I've seen the clip of the early 2020 match between him and Orange Cassidy, for instance, but my favorite one was when you fought the the Luchador wrestler gravity and kept yelling, do you remember me now referencing his time as Neville, the man that gravity forgot was he was, you know, a such a angry looking character these days, especially with the death riders. Of course, a member of the death triangle with the Luchabros Pentagon and Marpenta and Ray Phoenix who were doing great things in WWE right now, obviously, you saw that last night
on Raw, Penta had a had a Pock for him, Arm Bands, O'Paylee, Becky as well. So you know, Triple H had to say something about that and also haven't just seen in a wildest thing like I was just reading again, just catching up on social media after a big event we did this weekend. And you know, also seeing that the sign guy, the red hat guy, we'd always seen in the front row also passed and Triple H had just posted about that and then we saw him post this as well. So it's just a reminder of how fleeting things are and I hope you're making the most out of every day and it sounds like, you know, from all accounts there was some footage from Marina talking to the crowd last Sunday night. I believe that was a war you're wrestling show from what I gather as well because I know they were doing something and they usually book her for those shows as well. And she's going to be on the other side show on Thursday with some more of the death
riders of course. Man, it was such a weird weekend between that, the weird injury that happened with Steve Borden on the paper view, which you know, that's kind of pales in comparison obviously at this point. You know, it was actually, it sounds like he's going to be fine. Yeah, I know he's he's it sounds like he's probably it sounds like he's been pulled off of the defy showing Thursday in Detroit because that was supposed to be him and Trent was scheduled for that. So but yeah, but obviously his his health is of the utmost concern there to make sure everything is cool there. So, but you know, and again, it's just it's just one of those guys that you know, always was a great part of the roster, no matter what roster he was on. You know, a lot of fun with the the 205 live Cruiserweight division obviously. It just one of those kind of understated exciting wrestlers that we've had as a part of part
of the early NXT push with arrival and everything. You know, and and it was because a level that through a product that NXT needs such an impact on the network. Mm-hmm. The match with him in Sammy's aim like that they were the chosen guys to represent that brand is made of that. That says a lot. That was the show. That was that was like like yeah, we have a lot of great guys in NXT, but if you're only going to look at the may event, these are the two guys. And I mean, Sammy, current WWE Champion and Pock was fighting for a championship this weekend. Can I tell you what you need to know? And arrival was a long time ago and they're both still 2012. You know, something like that. Yeah, we're talking this is we're talking about the first show that was on the network,
right? The WWE network? Yeah, the first show that was on the network. But I don't think I've ever seen a bad match with Pock. No. I don't think I've ever seen a bad match with him. A guy that was able to change his style, like he could fly with guys like Ali and Ricochet and he could do groundwork with guys like Rollins and and and I'm driving. That John Droddy match showcases exactly what you're talking about, right? And he did it was a little bit of all that honestly throughout that match. You know, I was very excited. You know, if you've got to pick a last match like my god, that was a really good one. And what are my most favorite recent memories of them? The match on the golf course with him in Derby. Yes. That's a match that's going to live in my brain for a very long time because it was just so much fun.
And you wouldn't like, I think the best thing about Pock was you wouldn't expect a guy like him to be in a situation where he could have those kind of fun matches that are maybe a little goofy, maybe a little out there, but I know Austin Creason putting out a lot of stuff of him on up up down down. Yes. And if you've ever seen him on up up down there, you know he's a pretty pretty down to earth and everything like that. So I think that's kind of it's so weird to see that intensive and individual. Just like, just cuckling up and he's here with everyone. Wait, it's a sorrow is kind of the same way. He's especially these days is such an intense guy. You know, Pocko has been the bastard since he's you're still little, you still need to what that's her. You're still little, you're still a little foggy. But anyways, we got some camera issues don't worry about. But anyways, so, so yeah, no, he had that persona, but it was like, you know, it was a
great straight man when you are against somebody against an orange cast of the year or something like that, right? Teapops in the chat room talking about Pock's ability to fly through the air. So gracefully, but also hit with such great impact and believability was truly second and none. I mean, God, this guy was a brick house. And he's going to be getting bigger and could still like, I think he pulled out a four or 50 or something in the middle of that match, right? So match that hit mainstream is Neville, Stephen, a Mel versus Star Dust in a way bear it. Oh my God. Oh my God. He was the guy that team would even amount. She. I totally forgot because it was the green arrow and the red and the. Yep. Yeah, and the redder. What I mean, yeah, what in a one a moment that I feel like we could have gotten so much more out of right? Like a such a shock that I think that was one of those moments when they didn't do as much with it as he thought. I think that's when Cody was like, I'm done with this. We tried. We really tried to make something real happen here and we just did not get the support for it.
You know what I mean? Like, Cody did get on arrow. He did get on arrow though. And he realized how freaking big he is compared to these guys. So speaking of heights that we were talking about beforehand. So, but yeah, it's. It's so difficult and and and this is man. They they they're setting up this tribute tomorrow with Will and Osprey and versus Ricochet for the tribute match, which is going to be just intense. It's just going to be crazy. So so we're blessed to have the show and Pittsburgh, you know, and and and have that tribute, which I think we're going to be a very good tribute. But man, I got to feel for that roster at AW that just feels like they're getting hit left, right in the center with these these, you know, this, this kind of news lately between Park butcher, you know, even Rebel with the diagnosis that obviously they had a tremendous show, you know, that week of, you know, what happened with butcher, you know, like it's,
it's got to be hitting a lot of them so hard. T-pop also chimes in from the chat room over on Facebook. That's the one we look at the most if you guys are on other places and wondering why we're not responding to you. I'm trying to scan those as much we can, but it's only two. It's only show there's only so much we can do. But I say T-pop saying pop was so good that when he was the king of the cruiser weights in 205 live that he got over a simple suplex off the top rope as a believable finisher. That would have been a finisher in like 1993. Like easily a suplex off the top was. Yeah, that's a bottom up finisher. Oh, that board is finished. Really? Interesting. Interesting. Now it's just a transition. As it goes, you know, man, so, so looking forward for further credit that we do is also put out the platelets. It's great. It's a show just under on their NXT account and the WWE multi count.
Hey, just live and through. I did see over on the YouTube as well. Anthony out there. But you know, thanks for subbing, man. It says William Regal said that Neville was the closest thing when it came to today's British resters, the how him, Finley, Dave Taylor and all those old school British resters, British guys wrestled when they were younger. Yeah, no, absolutely. Like he brought a lot of that with him obviously mixed in with that, you know, high flying style. So man, he was so good on on so many. And he was one of the original AEW signings, too. Yep, absolutely. Like he showed up in his wrestling gear to that Prescott. What's that? I remember sitting at my desk while working at WWE watching that Prescott. And being like, look, they got Neville, that's awesome. Which led to the term full gear because he arrived in full gear leading to the early,
like one of the first big four pay per views for AEW full gear. So, you know, it's almost like that pay per view should almost just be, you know, the pop memorial pay per view show, you know what I mean? So it's, you know, and I can see them doing the, there's so good with that legacy, they still, they still say that, you know, the phrase for Brody is now basically a part of no major. That's evident in the head too many opportunities to prove that good there with honoring him. Exactly, exactly. So, yeah. But, you know, I think, you know, everything that I can tell, some people are, I haven't read this post where it talks about them. So, there's some reference to the, the, the Neville things and, you know, reminders of W of E's a crap company and all this kind of stuff. I have gone to the details of that post, but I've seen a multiple times of my feet. Yeah, it's about the visa issues and all that stuff and how he left the company and how
him leaving the company led to WWE not fixing his visa issues, which led to him not being able to work in the US for a while, which led to a lot of questionable visa issues with him, which, yes, it's all very shitty. Now, it's not really the time to bring it up. No, no, that is, that is it. And it's not like WWE is the only one that has visa issues with, with their talents, TNAs have it, had it recently, AWs had it from time to time as well. Like, it's not easy and it's getting worse, okay? So it's, it's, you know, it, it's, and it's, that, yeah, that's, that's not to be conflated with all this stuff. So, but I'm kind of sorry I brought it up. But anyways, so, so, you know, please, you know, in a post in the social media tag, let's know your favorite pop memories as well. And, you know, I'd love to see here. T-pop's also saying, Pock also made us believe that he was going to win. He was going to beat Seth Rollins for a WWE championship on one of his first nights on
the main roster in 2015. There was a close. That year fall. There's one, I saw, I saw it reposted a bunch of times over the weekend. That year fall. Very, very good. Very, very good. So, but as you do with a lot of those cases. Hey, give it a shout to our friends. Thank you, everybody. It's a porcelain Patreon, patreon.com slash wrestling mayhem show, including our friends. And, the fan of the show level bow. Dig it a. Woo. Woo. As well as sub dude, as well as team ham a fist. But I can't do the loud. I know. I know. I know. Pop a club level a day prop up potter, which would also remind you use code Dave 26 at GC XC. comm slash of Nsp a by the way, you know how we've been pushing the wrestlers at a running event. I got an email back from the organizers. And I'm trying to set up a meeting with them to see what it we can do.
So the wrestling mayhem show and some of our fans will show the match on the run. A match on the run. I don't we're going to figure out what we can do and who's the best runner. Somebody was just talking about running five years. Oh no, I was watching a video. It was too true. So I for a minute made at with Dan Howes and and one of the things was that he did he run the New York marathon five times. We would we break down that sentence for a second. Watching a minute made ad for future set alive with Dan Howes and on tick on tick on tick on tick on imagine saying that sentence a year ago. Yeah, exactly. But he was just like that's it. Because it's like Dan Howes and is on the minute made container. She's not. Yeah, but you know yet. Yeah, yeah, minute made Howes and it's coming soon. Yeah, exactly. Anyways, I was just a favorite of Ratson and Trashco. Tony King came teapop. Pizza club level. The rest is Justin Cleaver, manager level or friends, Tina Keys and Bradley. I you guys support the show too patreon.com slash wrestling mayhem show.
She's yeah, no, you broke me on that one. Um, so I did see the AEW show. I know you do not usually unless you had the opportunity to. I don't know. You've been. I was also quite busy. So I watched it in several segments because of my schedule myself. But I'm like, it's all out. I want to see some of these matches. I tell you my order. I wanted to see them was that. Uh, Champa, Champa and O'Cotta match the, the Pocken on Drodde and then the main event. And then, and then I guess the fourth one with the TLC, which was very good. Which, what did you expect? I'm a little bit. Yeah, yeah. But it's also like there were like it's setting up for the new day. Two of them. I know I get it. And you had two of them. You know, what was the other good surprise from this paper view? Uh, the, that trio's match that you're mentioning there. Um, because oh, I saw the brawl between, uh, oh my God. And that was real, real good. Yes.
Like it kept like match. That was real. Good trio's good. Trio's a lot of flying a lot of stuff. A lot of interchanging. And then it just breaks down an old braw in the middle of this thing. And then it keeps happening kind of thing. Like I love the intermixing of this feud continuing. I love the thing where it's like, oh, so has been really great for us. And like, hangman's last week is just like, it's been three weeks. You know what I mean? And like, and like, and swear of explaining all the terrible things he's done to the due day. And they're just like, what's wrong with you, man? You know, like, no, no, no, dude, that's, that's freaking it. And we would do that. Like, we keep it in the ring. Yeah. Exactly. Like, like, like, this dynamic is really fun. Uh, it's going to be great when it falls apart. And then it will, of course, right? So or I don't know, maybe do maybe, maybe new level goes, goes that way. I don't know who knows where we, we plan to do with this. They were, they were dacidly heels towards the end, right? Maybe we were, we go back into that. Who knows? Um, and we all know in AEW, being a dacid or a heel, does not mean that people may boo
you. Yeah. Um, burning down someone's house. Yeah. This is not just a face pop. A face pop the next week on Dynamite. The face pop in the situation is the guy that burned down the house is the good guy at the moment. I don't need that. That's not the first time a face is burned down someone's child. What's the other one? I, I, please, I need some history. Randy Orden, an interest or Abigail's house. Mm, there you go. Remember, Bray Wyatt was the heel. Uh, okay. Okay. On paper. Yeah. Bray Wyatt was the heel there. Okay. But Randy, Randy standing in front of the burning house like this. Yeah. That's our guy. Strangely not as memorable as the, the, the, the, the Hangman one, you know, like, because it's not as nimble. Hey, yeah. The hangman just saying a rocking chair. The burning house is pretty good. And on and the three hour loop of it for the Yolog was amazing. Not about the Yolog. Yes.
The Swerves House Yolog. Yeah. Yeah. That's just really good. That's really, really good. It's really good. Like, I, I, I, you know me. I got a G.E.W. a lot for their story. But Swerve and Hangman, they're, they're top not. Fisher perfect. Top notch. Every single time. And, and to be fair, Swerve has always been like this. Even in AEW, need I or my day one of the hell. Mm hmm. That's where it's going back and wash. Maybe him that be Swerve as kill shot against AR Fox. AR Fox, yeah. Yeah. Just a two or three falls match both each stipulate each match has stipulation to it. I believe there was a really nasty like scaffold slash glass bump in there for the end. Oh, God. I just remember that match. I think that was one of the matches that was a whole episode.
You have a, most of if not all, yeah, because it was pretty long. I think, I think so. Yeah, because I think it was like all night long, all night long to hell of war and the Ironman match and the Penta versus the triad match. Yeah. And again, like those were the episodes that were like one episode. It, I mean, that may not sound crazy now because it's 10 years later and we found what we've had an eight W, but that is the first time we saw something like that on TV. Maybe the closest is I think we maybe had some barbed wire and stuff back on the WSX days. Wrestling Society X days forever when we watched that DVD. Yes, of course I still haven't still have it. Yes, absolutely. Absolutely. Yeah. But there were probably only two left on Amazon. Yeah, we got the rest of it. If you want to buy them now, you got to buy it from us. All right. All right. Now I'm research the part. No, okay. You're going to go research the apartment. And again, Champo Cotta was amazing. I believe you're setting up a Cotta and Osprey for the next one. I think I saw a clip that they did that from the press conference afterwards.
That opening match with Pocca and Draughty was phenomenal. Another moment of taking the selfie and Bermina destroyed the the the the Diva he was taking the selfie with. So there's only one left in stock. Nobody's bought one. Nobody got the nose. Now they're set. We purchased this in July 2020. There's one left in stock selling for $109.95. And Joins are Amazon's crazy for that stuff. So yeah, there's a there's a good there are two used ones. By the way, there's a two use. There's a case in point. We're talking on awesome cast earlier. This is just a mid side. There's a minions themed Kevin, a Wi-Fi router that everybody figured out. That was a really, really good Wi-Fi router would place you're like you're like home internet router, you know, ISP router with that was selling for 80 bucks. The the Twitter post got like three million views. It sold out on like 20 minutes afterwards.
And now they're going for like $180 dollars. This $80 dollar router is going for like $180 dollars now on the Amazon. So, you know, as you do. Either way, nothing here. They're there. Back to the show. I appreciated the story that was happening with the main event. There was a you know, with the death riders and I thought, you know, a nice closed loop on the on the Will Osprey death riders, Moxley situation there. You know, I don't know if it was a camera where I was hearing this. It was some somebody like a Meltzer or out of her as or somebody was like, I don't understand the death riders and all that stuff. I'm just like, I don't understand what you don't understand about the death riders. It's a fight club. Yes, with a little bit of a cult tendency to it. And all fight clubs have a little bit of a cult. Yeah. And even the movie fight club turned into a cult. I thought the thing where Osprey was training with the death riders was the most interesting thing. They had them doing crazy stuff in the background.
There were haze in them. And you're like, and this is will by God Osprey. You know what I mean? And it was like, it was the dude, they did Rocky with him. And he came back from the neck injury, lost and then got taken in. You know, it's like you got, isn't there a sequincy in Rocky where he loses the creed and then ends up in a training camp with creed afterwards. Like they become sparring partners. He becomes a barrier and then rolls the world. Yeah. The whole reason Rocky goes to fight Drago is because Drago killed creed. Right. Exactly. So that's the whole reason for Rocky for existing. Yeah. So Drago's got to come in and take out Moxley and then I will say, like I love the Osprey and the death horse story. I thought that's great. Yes. One thing that bothers me and it's something that they keep doing. Stop having champions.
Like, you're doing it. Oh, yeah. They're doing it. They're doing it again. Yes. It's Okada. Yes. Stop doing that. The international and the connel champions. Yeah. Stop doing that. Because it tells me that that current champion doesn't care about that. I think you can do the argument that the, all these other championships that are bringing prestige to Okada pulling that bell for as long as Moxley holding that bell for as long as he has at that point at this point, which was a call to his belt before that, right? I think these are obvious stepping stones to the belt they want. And draw days, the national champion. And he has the contract for Osprey's championship. But he's also a United Empire. But a company with so many belts. As true to. Like, there's already a discussion of how little a lot of the other mid card championships
are. Sure. You strengthen that argument by not having them defend those titles. Or at the very least put the title on the line against the champion. I don't think there's a very like like when, and I hate to bring up either of these names. But when Hogan fought warrior, it was title for title. And I think it was really cool. There's not a lot of instances in WWE, not to make this one company versus the other. I'm just saying different approach. We're more talking about history here. Yeah, there's not a lot of instances in WWE that I can think of off hand. Where a mid card champion would be fighting the world champion without earning like without being in like a tournament or something like that. Like just being granted a title match. It doesn't. It doesn't make me feel good about their mid card.
It's why I don't care about a lot of the mid card titles in the. Sure. Sure. And it's like, and honestly, I get confused too. I forget who has what belt, you know, things like that. It is a symptom of the problem. But in the end, what gets delivered are tremendous matches. So I know I know I and to me that's what that's going to be a great match of course. The most important thing to me is are we delivering something that's going to have a story. And I think by holding any of these championships, you find yourself as a good argument to go for the big championship because like, well, you're already this champion. That's like a secondary, you know, kind of championship, which they're all kind of. And if it was just one championship that did that. Sure. Like the inner like the inner continental to the world championship. Yeah. Fine. Every. Tina's pointing out the TNA. And I know they do this differently. So apples and oranges a little bit here. So don't get me on that. But the option C with the exhibition title over in TNA.
Yes. But to do that, you have to sacrifice the day. That's what I say. I was an orange. Just don't bear in mind this. No, no, but that's that's what if that if that was the case. Fine, because that tells me that you are ready to move on from the championship that you currently have. Yeah. That's a different kind of story altogether. It's an actual story. And it's a it's a risk reward story. Like that is fine. That's absolutely fine by me. I like the option C thing. I it may be overused now a little bit in TNA. But I like the option C thing. Yeah. If A W is doing something like that. Fine. Because then you can have John Monksley say, oh, well, you know how much this kind of champion chip has meant to me. But I really I really need to be the world champion. They did it such an interesting way. I imagine there's a couple times on the show, but I love the episode of Dynamite that I watched as the fallout to Ellen where they drew a thread to about four different challengers
and then just drop that. Oh, it's going to be boxing, you know, at the end. That was like, it was like to me that was like a good play with that, you know, and it could be anybody, which means anybody could be next. And now here's Okada, which just being Okada, he deserves to get a champion. He gets to get a title shot, you know, you know, he just. So he but here's my argument. If I so osprey beat Mocsley. Why doesn't he get a shot at Mocsley champion chip? Do you want to show that? That's a that's a de facto eliminator match. Yeah. You know what I mean? I suppose you're having a champion taking your loss. You could have used to, but also you could send one of your faction guys off them. Speedball could go after it. A key or a. That's not the same thing. Andrade could go after it. You know, but he's already a national champion and has a number one contendership on the line. So also the dissolution that eventually happens between on on draw to an osprey, I think it's going to be.
I have a prediction that we're going to get the osprey on draw day by world's end. I think we have to. Yeah. Not only we have to do. No, I mean, I. Because you also have MJFs out there saying he's the real one. Yeah. He also is not made in a he has not made an appearance since all in in the in the casino gauntlet and he is on the commercial for Russell Dream. So he's probably going to. I see him pop up this week, honestly. So, but I think, you know, I, I, I. I like how unpredictable it is right now because Moxie being the next guy is not what I imagine was going to happen next. Oka be the next guy is definitely not what I imagine next, but oh my god, let's do osprey and Oka. We're bringing the best of the new Japan stuff on a bigger platform. Let's do it. You know, and there's all this history for all these guys, you know, and you could really do a best of kind of thing here. And and the mid cars doing such great stuff right now, like, I mean, there's still, you
know, all outs definitely not the best AW show of the year, but my god was a good for this one. So I hear we'll click from the chat. T pop get some distractions in here too. AW has too many titles on too many top guys, like some of these titles should be on undercard guys to help them build up while also allowing top guys to fight for the top title. Tina saying I'm going to be. That person Oka versus osprey should not be on cable. That should be a pay per view match. Oh, was that on cable? Is that I missed that part of it? It's on dynamite. Oh, it was on dynamite is the what like, I mean, not not just in the coming weeks. Okay. Yeah. Okay. Or it's a grand slam. Rance. Oh, that makes sense. Okay. Yeah. They're prancing. They're practically doing half a pay per view on that thing when they do a grand slam. So yeah, okay. And in that case, it's like, oh, it's a title versus it's like the guy with a title. It's like, yeah, I can see it into a net on that. I see the point about the big guard titles being on top guys.
That's because like I, I'm still of the opinion that Nigel should have beaten. Sure. Sure. But I don't know. And do I want Nigel wrestling full time? No, I don't. But that would have been a nice cool moment, a nice caper for him. And then he could have dropped it to anybody. Sure. And anybody that could use, let's bring it, let's bring Lee out of Ring of Honor with that belt and see what he does. Man, sure. Lee coming out of the pure division and going like, here's what I want to say. He used me reading tear lives for friends of the show here. I want, you know, because Lee Lee's doing great work there at the pure division, really kind of landing a legacy there. I would like to see Lee. You're more already come out of Ring of Honor, you know, holding the pure title or not and go into the continental classic. And that's his like superstar rising. Get to the finals. He doesn't have to win the belt. He does not have to win the belt, not required this year. Because he needs to get a rise up.
And I think rise enough from Ring of Honor straight into a continental championship. No, but making a mark, just like Nick Wayne going over and doing super juniors tournament. The last couple of years and making a mark there, though not winning. Also, there's like 20 people in that tournament. You know, that counts. And to, you know, having a barn burner with Roman Reigns in Mexico City made Penta is the argument right now, right? And you know, Penta or Busch for money in the back, let's be honest. You know, let's go for it. You're not feeling that one? Look at my door. I love Penta. Yes. I like the graphic, but we got you. Old friend of the show. You had the conversation with him. Yes. I don't know if I necessarily want him to be money in the bank. I wouldn't be mad at it. But I feel like he should get a title shot out being money in the bank.
Personal. That's me. But this is the short. No, we had one. This is the short. You know, yeah, it's the short cut. He could, I honestly, anyone but Phil, anyone but Phil, would you hate if Penta comes out of money in the bank? Sammy's got somebody for that, right? Has he got an opponent for that one yet? Are they doing in the bank? No, no, no, I'm assuming they're doing Sammy. Okay. If he's even defying the belt, who knows? Yeah. And, but I could see Penta popping up and punching out Sammy. Sammy gets to get him playing about how he got screwed again. That's the way to go in my opinion. I mean, if you're saying we get in and prompt you, Penta versus Sammy match, sure, I have no problem with that. Who knows? Maybe Sammy's friend, Elgin Erica, can come back and take some revenge. Maybe that's the deal. Yeah, maybe that's the deal. Finally, we get that.
Finally, we get that. I'm shocked we didn't get a world's collide. Yes. I'm shocked there wasn't some kind of thing at world's collide with Elgin Erica. Tina's saying on the women's side, I've said that Tina's been trying to get us to talk about the women for the last couple of posts. Oh, no, no, no, I want to talk about women's money in the bank match. I'm actually excited for it because it's what I've been saying money in the bank should be for years now. No former champions should be in money in the bank. Absolutely, absolutely. No former champions should even have Wall of Fine net. Well, she's actually bringing up the women on AW. So we had Tecla and Willow, which was great. Honestly, Tecla is fucking amazing. The women's tag treat fight, it was amazing too. We had Persephone and an open challenge with Danny Luna, debuting with the company, which is a great addition as far as I'm concerned. I thought her hominins, they did the best they could following that tag team contenders match.
Which of course, people are still wondering, is Sting Sun dead? Yeah, yeah, exactly. You know, there's not a whole lot you can do after that. No, absolutely. But don't go to see Danny Luna in there, the continuing that with Persephone and Britt with a tag team match on this Wednesday. By the way, Sorger, you're safe with the pop, Britt's going to get tomorrow. Oh, it's going to be amazing. And also, is Wardlow coming back tomorrow? Oh, I, you know, I will, I said to Missy because I was like, yo, they did a promo on Wardlow, but he's coming back Wednesday. And then I said to her, if I see Andrew D'Nardo in the crowd, I know. So Wardlow is going to be at New York Comic Con. There you go. There you go. Making rounds. Making rounds. There you go. Say hi to say hi to Mr. Wardlow. Mr. What was he fang on American Gladiators? I think so. Hey, I get to do a show with an American Gladiator on Thursday because another one, Jay
Rod will be on that show. Oh, a follow American Gladiator to a friend of the show. And a fellow Savannah bananas are banana ball firefighter to a friend of the show is on the firefighter cheer team. I don't know what they call it with one Savage Gentlemen down there. He's a Savage Smoke Show, if you will, which I still feel weird. Savage. No, you haven't heard this. That's, yeah, that's been his moniker since he joined the firefighters. That's wonderful, which I think it I have no, no, it sounds, but it think it's it kind of sounds dirtier than I think it's intended. I think it's exactly exactly where did you see the undertaker at banana ball? I did. He presented a ball inside. Yes, he did, which we've always wanted to know what's in there turns out America's fast. There you can turn it out turns out not the asses.
I mean, not the ashes. I wouldn't have called it. I wouldn't have called it, but you know, who knew that works? Well, in 2026, we found out all the answers to the other day. Sometimes they'd be like that. The last grade secret of the undertaker who since was, hey, big baseball nut turns out big fan, big baseball fan. He was a basketball guy, wasn't he? I think so, yeah. Yeah, him and show that. Yeah, I mean, yeah, probably or a quarterback. They like tall quarterbacks. No, not that tall. Anyway, it's a real bike. A lot of stuff going on in your wrestling.us. Of course, we do have our friends are RWA guys show this month. The bloody harvest, if you will, pretty boy smooth is a, hopefully is actually his friend center on the poster. So I'm hoping he gets his title shot against one's J rock and daddy, give it up one time. And then our friends at Prospect Pro Wrestling, hot off of their show at the air field. Man, it was weird.
Fly and I out last week to LA for the formula, but I had to do out there. And you know, I can see the hanger that we did the show from waiting for my airplane. It was a little weird to be. Okay, like that context was like, you know, I've seen that thing across the way so many times like, oh, that's whatever. That's where they store like a, you know, the FedEx plan or something because I don't know which way I'm looking. That's actually on the other end. So I am very intimately, I know that all the X's because I've always visited this area around the airport for family. But anyways, but hot off of that, they're going to have their big Halloween show, playing a casket match between Gory and Andrew Palis, I believe, right? So a lot of great stuff there. A lot of other great wrestling happened there. BCW just dropped the road to victory poster for next month. And I know some of the super opera clips have been going semi viral as well and getting a lot of reaction out there.
So by the way, oh, okay. And we do have an update from Tina Taker played for Texas Tech in basketball. We went to a tech school. Yes. I want to know what his major was. What was the Undertaker's, what does mean mark Halloween's, research department? Please tell me, please tell me why was mean mark Halloween's, the Undertaker's degree in a Tennessee Tech where he played basketball. As the as likely the scary majored in sports management at Texas, Wesley and the rich. Huh. Oh, there you go. So, there you go. Not Texas Tech, not Texas, Wesley and, well, I want to have the tech. He said he's we went to college first in Angelina college and left in Texas on a basketball college. And then he played center at Texas, Wesley and then he dropped out of college to focus
on he briefly considered playing basketball in Europe before the time. So, question and question. Yeah. Huh. Interesting. Sports management. And to be fair, he's still kind of doing that now. Yeah. Boogie's literally doing that now, isn't he? Yeah. You run strip away. Hey, you generally, you generally managing some form of sport. You know, you ever think about, ever think about this moment. Remember the last like big match with him in triple H in the Hell in the Cell and Sean was the referee and you got like the shot of the three of them on the ramp at the end. And now those are the three people that run all the brands of WWE. Just like they wrote it up. Just like the plan. Just like they wrote it up. Yep. Yep. It's just interesting how all of that comes together. Always the plan. Yes. Do you want to mention anything about WWE? You're talking a little bit about money in the bank and anything else coming up. You want to talk about it, but what's happening there? I know we do have World's Pride is coming out.
Jada Parker almost killed. I went back and watched that. He's being, you know, let's throw that out. I'm trying to figure out. Both are wrong. The Hicular Man's slaughter. Day one. Let's go. That's called a bump. That is called the, yeah, it's getting over. Let's just hit the most popular Samoan with, okay, the second most popular Samoan, sorry, Roman, with my car. I was looking for the cutaways for the stunt man. So which also, I feel like Jacob Fautu also would have just taken it. You know, so I think there was a stunt man, but I don't know for sure. There's a non-zero possibility that Jacob Fautu just literally just took a shot from a car because, yeah, why not at this point? So yeah, it's going to take your manages to the sport of Lutri Leabressas. But anyways, what a debut, huh?
So, you know, I'll be honest, if this is what brings Naomi back and finally has her join the club. Oh, I'm not mad at it. No, yes. And have we fast- Not mad at it. So those are co-asts and you just walked till you fell grass. So I haven't been on any of you. No, you haven't. What do you think about this time, 46th? I mentioned last week or the week before that is like, okay, this is war games. First of all. Oh, it's definitely war games. This is war games. It's definitely war games. But I feel like there's another shoe waiting. Oh, yeah. I said, a solo turn. Is it a Jacob turn? Is it a LA night turn? I think it's an LA night's bar. My top level on this, right? And there was an interesting exchange last night around that.
So I was waiting for the solo come back as a turn. I was waiting for Jacob to be end up being in the pocket because we talk about how, because is it Jacob's solo and keys were supposedly like we're running by? No, no, no, just just just just Jacob and keys. I felt like solo was in that mix too, but it might just because. No, solo was the one just stirring the pot. Okay, because we did get like we did get keys night and solo at Mania. Like that thing that I didn't know there was like a weird connection there, but it was mostly the Jacob thing because they were like, but there were button heads as well as as being old boys, right? So yeah, that's fine. I, man, what a, what a spot to be put in for, you know, three guys that are, you know, voices relatively new. OTM is straight out of NXT and into this thing, right?
It feels very nexus to me to a certain point. It almost feels a little shieldish. A little shieldish as well. Yeah, the little shieldish. It's, I feel like they're doing what was the terrible mask gimmick they did during COVID? Retribution. Retribution. I feel like they're doing another take at a retribution type thing, but they're not as toned. They're actually doing not quite as toned as before. Well, they also have actual crowds to react to. And we're going back to, well, I think the crowd will have told us exactly right out the battle and that one. No, I think, I think, I think it's maybe a hot take. If retribution happened in 2021, when there were actual fans in the stands, I think it was going over huge. And I think I'll leave what event it is in the real channel. Tina and maybe a hot, then maybe a hot date, but I feel very strong about that. Tina's, I'll leave what not, I'll let that fail in front of people.
Right. Tina needs to explain this to me, unless you have a, unless you understand this, Mike. All right. She's saying, Jada was making sure the Fah 2 family was getting their karma from Oh, one. Oh my God, because he hit to go to Kishi, hit the rock with a car. Oh my God. He did it for the rock. He did it for the rock. He did it for the people. Oh my God, she was a stone cold fan. That's what I learned. Yeah. That's what I learned this week. So she did it for, she did it for Ellie night. She did it for the people. Yeah. Another important thing, T-bops, is that happened on raw dragonly, big casts got a huge reaction and drank a beer in the crowd speaking the stone cold. So man, big cast is getting some losses here. What is going on? You know, I'm waiting for his buddy issue. Yeah, I was like, Oh, I need backup. The size isn't enough for these luchadors. These tiny luchadors that keep getting over on the trailer. You joke, but Enzo Moray was a cruiserweight champion.
Yep. He's going to come on the level five live. But hair sticking out, it'll be great. So I don't know. I don't know. Oh, by the way, speaking of speaking of Enzo, he did have a really great tribute to pack on Tupac on Bussard Open, I think. Okay. Because apparently he and Pock were very good friends. So yeah, I would imagine since it came through the same way. Like dude, I remember coming back from a Cleveland show and I watched the entire two of five roster walking across a rest stop on the turnpeg. So two five live, we don't know how good we had it. No, man, the cruiserweight classic, two five live was slept on by a lot of people and they had some bangers on that show. We were going to have a dog or something. No, I'm going to mind of it every time. So I'm Dar pops up on NXT with with with with the most is face. So there was there was one match. I'll never forget it. It was one of my favorite gimmicks. It was when he and Alicia Fox were together.
Lisa Fox, Alicia Fox, but but she got injured. So instead of coming down to the ring with him, she was on FaceTime with him and he came down holding her on his phone, walking down to the ring and propped her up in the corner and she was screaming for her during the match. Wonderful. One of my favorite things of two five live, it was just such a funny, funny gimmick. Like you can tell they were out of the they were in the fog of war from management at that point. He had a like, I just do what you want to do, which was great. And that's where the best stuff happened, especially in those days. Look at his teeth. I'm looking at his teeth. He's so good. Good stuff. Alright, hey real quick guys, let's give a shout out to our friends at Slayson Broadway. Support in Pittsburgh, podcasting with the perfect pepper on each pizza, beach, Fucarine and E stand or those because best people know when I have a job to do, I forget to eat.
Literally, I hire people, bring people along, whether it be my wife or Katie or somebody. I call my emotional support friend on these gigs and they also make sure I eat when I have a production. And that's where Slayson Broadway helps us out because otherwise while I'm setting up the show and doing the notes and getting us ready, I probably wind and then also Fizz or guests that do come in and get Katie here as a co-host earlier. Of course, co-host guests, whatever the case may be. So thank you, friends. Slayson Broadway.com multiple locations, support independent pizza providers, just like your independent professional wrestling. It is time to find out what did you learn from wrestling this week and as I signed up before I get to that, it was announced. Becky versus Liv was announced for many in the bank for the number one contendership. That'll be a fun one. I thought it was for raw next week, I might have heard that. But what did you learn from wrestling this week? I'm not exposed much except for all out actually.
I learned, just appreciate the rest of the results you get to watch while you can. It was a little bit of a melancholy week for wrestling fans. It was. Yeah, especially like, the fine guy, you know, say what you will about the fans and make themselves part of the show. But you know, they get to know a lot of the wrestlers. They become part of it. Yeah, they do become part of the show. I mean, it's painful. Without us, there's no show. And you can go back decades at this point to see him interacting with everyone. So you know, well, I may not be the biggest fan of some of the current iterations of the sign guy that we have.
There's still fans like us. And you know, when it's a big loss like that, it hits the wrestling community. So absolutely appreciate, appreciate the count that you can appreciate while you have it. Absolutely. TNSA and SIE appreciate the moments while you can take the pictures and film the footage. Yep. Always here's our thing. Always ask for the picture. Always try like if you see a wrestler and it's casual happenstance, you're not stalking their hotel. No, no, no, no, no. You don't even need a picture and interaction. I was when I was going to wrestle when I was going to wrestle me at 34 in New Orleans. I was waiting at the check bag line. Happened to seem like Ben. Didn't ask for an autograph or anything like that. I remember who was just getting back on the road.
Maria had just had their baby. So I just went up to him. If you graduated, I'm becoming a father and just wished him good luck this weekend. And that was it. Sometimes that's all you need. He was like, oh, thanks a lot, man. Like just very cool interaction. But if that moment strikes, take the moment. Take the moment. Absolutely. And just don't be a dick. Absolutely. Yeah, I mean, I know that's a big thing amongst the show community. I think I can call it all of us there behind the scenes and amongst the wrestlers, especially with the recent events. There's a lot of everybody saying from our friends like decay and things like that. I'm going to be taking some more pictures and things. I'm definitely not successful in it. Please take more pictures with me, I guess. I grab people every once and a while when they come over and bug me in production, I guess.
But yeah, it just appreciate those moments, appreciate the memories, because you never know any of that stuff, right? But yeah, but hey, we're all here to have fun and be a part of or witness or create something special in this business. And God, more so than ever, it's just a lot of having those moments, but also as a lot of us are finding recently, okay, take some time for yourself away from it too when you need to. You know what I mean? So, but yeah, from the chat room, T-pop says I learned that even though WWE didn't stream a world's collide live, they're going to have it at 7 p.m. Eastern time tomorrow, Wednesday night. It's going to be out there. They felt the need to spoil it all over their own social media and in a backstage segment
on rock. It's a spa show, T-pop. They have a show. It's a how it's a how it's a cool or fun show. It's a how show. They're put on YouTube just because they got some good content. They were happy with them. They're going to put it out there. So they didn't probably didn't feel the need to rent a production truck for this one and just did the production or whatever, or satellite truck probably. I'm sure there was a production truck or something, right? So and there's moments like most of the stuff I saw was like more fan footage, honestly. Like the part where everybody was revealing to Obofemi their identity, like, you know, straight straight to society punk, Mysterio and in a Grande. They were all doing the little like peak under feel. So that was kind of a fun spot. I mean, the Obofemi first of Austin is surprised that wasn't following up. That could be fun. Who knows? Maybe he'll do a spot. Maybe that'll be at the next triple A paper.
Who knows? Who knows? Who knows? I don't know about paper, PLE if you will. PLE if you will. So yeah, no, I think it's mostly what I learned to like that, like what I talked about before. You know, there's a lot of reflection, especially as we've been traveling to do some other outside of wrestling things and things like that about exactly what we want to, where we want to be with all this kind of stuff, you know, how much of it you want or what version of it we want in our lives, I guess. So there's a lot of reflection these days amongst a lot of people around. And it feels like it's across the board, concerning what's happening, you know, again, on the national level for people that we seem to be saying goodbye to Mr. Belding today as well with ties of wrestling. So yeah, it's been, it's been a wild, it's been a wildly sad couple of months here in figures.
You know, even down to Katie and I go and see the Transformers film with the last performance of Peter calling, you know, a film that's already emotionally wrecked us as children. We have a stuffy over there of an Optimus Prime that didn't make it in time for that, you know. So I do have my less hugable Optimus Prime right here. So, you know, kind of thing. So, but anyways, but either way, in the end, we do have this great community here that can brought together through professional wrestling. It's going to all of you guys in the chat room listening or at the shows or then give me cool scarves from Japan, like Aaron Woods did. So my favorite lighting guy, sorry, Gringo Loco. See you Thursday. But otherwise, guys, thank you so much. It's good to get in and shoot the wrestling shit with you guys on Tuesday night. If you will, as you say, my therapy session every Tuesday night.
Thank you. Thank you, T-pop and Tina have been in the chat room all night chatting. And I know we had a nerve friend over there out there on YouTube that we gave a shout out to earlier too, thinking everybody that does tune in on any of those platforms and shares the show, comments on our TikToks down the line as well. So, and thank you, man, Mike, for being here. So, thank you for having me, sorry. It's good to sometimes take a little bit of time to have some fun. Absolutely, absolutely. Absolutely. So thank you so much. We'll see you guys next time. Support with independent wrestling wherever you may be, support wrestling in general. But mostly just make sure you're having fun doing it and just being cool to everybody again, make some friends and just be open to all that, all right? We'll see you guys next time. May, him, out.
