Can this I'll say not a lot. So here are some things that Tennessee really needs to do against the owls before the Texas matchup. You are locked on balls. Your daily podcast on the Tennessee volunteers. Part of the locked on podcast network. Your team every day. What's up everybody. Welcome into your Friday locked on balls. Appreciate you for being here. We are almost to the weekend. We are almost back to Neal and Stadium for football time in Tennessee. Got a full slate of games on the dog at this weekend. It is the best sound of the year. And these are always one of my favorite shows to do every single year. The Friday morning shows leading into a game. I am your host, Eric Kane. We are a part of the locked on podcast network. Today's episode, bookie Bentley for two segments. Law locked on talking balls.

We like to call it. He is the host of the Hawkins Falls Network. And we'll talk a lot of things about Ethan Davis's injury. What needs to happen in this game. We'll look ahead to Texas. All that more kind of segments. Two and three. Here are some things that Tennessee needs to accomplish against Kinesle State. Tennessee is a 30, 35 and a half point favorite. I think that totals around 56. Carter Steve, our friends over at Fandall Sportsbook. I know Josh Hypo is in a mood on Monday. And I respect that as the head football coach because you can't have your team thinking that you can just get by this game. I mean, Davis Sanders, essentially when he spoke to the media earlier, he was like, I had to really buckle down and attention to detail and stuff this week because I didn't play well against Ferman. And maybe that was my fault because I wasn't locked in as much as I needed to is essentially what he said. So you don't want your team with that mindset. And obviously, I mean, we got eyes, right? I mean, Tennessee's done a lot of good things, but Tennessee has a long way to go. And so you want to iron sharpened our, you want to get out, you want to get out there and not just go through the motions, try to get something out of this week.

You're not going to learn much about your football team, but you got to treat it like it is. It's a, it's a, and this isn't a Furman game. I mean, Jerry Mack and Kinesle State, it's a good program. But this is the team that you should beat by multiple touchdowns because it's a group of six level program. I'm not going to say it's a glorified scrimmage like it was a good to net CS opponent. I'm not going to go there. But Tennessee should win by multiple scores. It's just kind of as what it is. So gotta get out there and try to get something out of it. Those things I want to see from Tennessee. Number one, I'm going to start the quarterback position. I am a huge believer in, you know, it's the old football things like, oh, you got to come out after halftime and play one series. No matter what the score is, you got to play one series. I think that's stupid. I thought it was stupid as a player. I think it's stupid as a, as a sports rider. I think it's stupid as a sports personality. I think it's stupid. Having said that, FaZe on Brandon needs to come out here and play at least a couple of series after the halftime break. I don't care what the score is. Why? Well, again, like the Furman game, he's never done it. This will be his third football game ever at this level.

So he just needs reps on reps on reps on reps on reps on reps. I don't care what the score is. Just like in the Furman game, come out, play your offense in the second half for a couple of series. And then if the score dictates it, get out of there. I understand there's a fine line there walking like you don't want to get anybody hurt or anything like that, but you can't play scared, can't coach scared. Okay, you just can't. You got to get something out of this Saturday because you know who's come to town the next week. So FaZe on Brandon, I want to see him go through the first half. I want to see him go through the halftime break. I want to see him come out. I want to see him lead Tennessee on another scoring drive before his day is done. As many reps as FaZe on Brandon can get on four. I want to see George McIntyre get a lot of run in this football game. Number one, I think he needs it. Number two, you never know when Tennessee's going to need him. All right. And number three, if he leaves, I want him to get some tape because I like George McIntyre. I want him to be successful. I want him to play a lot of football in this football game. Having said that, I mean, this is no disrespect. It's like it's like playing Jake Markle in your last year. No, everybody knew he wasn't going to be here.

So why are you wasting time? Like again, I'd mean this in no disrespect. I think two quarterbacks are playing this game. And I think McIntyre deserves to get all those reps after FaZe on Brandon. And I'll leave it at that. That's just my opinion. Josh Hoppe was going to play all three if scored dictates it because he's a quarterback. He wants to take care of those guys. I get it. It's how he always has been. I get it. But that's not what I would do. All right. Running back positions a little bit funky in this game. So where's Justin Baker's healthy? Had a big old club on his right hand after blocking that punt. All right. Javin Gordon is he healthy enough to play also? Will they play him if so? Like he got to be careful with some of these injuries here. Say those two guys don't play at all. Then he got to Sean Bishop and to Sean doesn't need to play a lot in this game. The score dictates it. I'm going to continue to say the score dictates it. The score dictates it because I do have some type of, you know, football, OCD, I guess. Do I more deserves to get a whole lot of run? But do you really want him playing the entire game? I think this is a game where you're going to see guys. The likes, you know, 105 guys is kind of what we call them.

The old walk-ons, but they're there every day in practice as well. And they're busting their tails and they deserve to play in a game like this. 100 barons. I think, you know, a fifth year guy, Ben, it's in a C his entire career. 100 barons deserves to play a lot in this football game. You get a freshman from from Canton, Georgia and will reject, reject. Deserves to play in this football game. So if those two guys are down, I think the these two 105 guys deserve to get a whole lot of run, no pun intended so that the Sean is not playing the entire game. And so the Duan Morris is employing the entire game. Um, I want to see Tennessee attack the son brain. Get him involved in the passing game. I'm not saying you got to throw him a touchdown up the seam like you've done the last two games to Ethan Davis. But I truly do believe that Tennessee needs to get the son brain film good about himself and get the son brain active in the passing game because that is his strength. And so far he's not been utilized there. You didn't have his first reception at Georgia Tech last week. But get the son brain active in the passing game. I think that's paramount in this football game because you're going to need him against Texas to help your your freshman quarterback and phase on Brandon.

Obviously, Ethan Davis was a comfort for phase on Brandon, a security for phase on right now, both those touchdown plays came off script to play as I hear you. But still, I think that comforts there. Desom Braimes got to step up and play. Um, I want to see a ton and I mean, and I want, I want to see 40 plus snaps from Eli from a Luca wolf and from Cole Harrison. Those are Toddins three and four now. We know that Trent, I mean, they all need reps, but also in a game like this, I don't want to be by turning an ankle or anything because you get to the concern of the tight position. We know it's the son brain. And Trent Thomas now, who's your third tight end? Probably Luca wolf, who this is his third year football ever coming over from England and the, the, the, the, the NFL Academy in London. Okay. Um, was really turning some heads in fall camp before he got dinged up a little bit. So I need him to get a, just so many snaps in this game. Cole Harrison as well. He's a third year player in the system now, right? Maybe fourth year player. Um, Cole Harrison deserves to get some run.

And I think he maybe helped him to see out a little bit. Yeah, third year in the system. Um, six foot five, two, 40. Cole Harrison needs to play a ton in this football game. You need to have these guys getting reps on reps on reps on reps. Follow me on the offensive end. I want this off into one just to punish. Kenneth off state. You need to feel good about yourself. You need to feel good about yourself going into the Texas game and your rain for three bills last week. Titans included everybody involved wide receivers. That's a heck of an accomplishment. This offensive line is still not where it needs to be or where it wants to be. Okay. Feel good about yourself. Beat up on an inferior opponent. There's nothing wrong with that. Feel good about yourself. Get a little cocky. And then get ready for what's coming up next week with long horns. Offensive line needs to have a day. I'll be a little disappointed. The offensive line doesn't have a day. Offensive line needs to have a day defensively. I want to see JJ a finch back out there. I think he needs some reps.

Um, I mean, I, you know, they're going to mix some things up. There will be some tempo. And I thought awesome prize brought up early. I'm going to point in one of his shows earlier this week. I guess it was the Volquist podcast saying that two out of the next three games are going to be going up against tempo, right? Jerry Max going to run tip O this weekend. Um, Alex Gowish and Auburn is going to run a version of tempo, right? And so I think it's going to be a good primer for that Auburn game as well. I don't show an awful lot if you don't have to, but get after it, we know the gym knows is going to call an aggressive game because that's just what he's done to games in. He's going to be aggressive, right? Um, I want to see a ton of Tim Merritt corner. I want to see a ton of Tim Merritt. Tim Merritt is the one, the fourth corner back, second string corner, but he was the, the fourth in line. He's the one that had the three consecutive pass interference calls go against him against Georgia Tech in the fourth quarter. He needs to bounce back. All right. Because you might have to play him at some point this year. I want to see a ton of him. I want to see a ton of trapeotated corner. I want to see a ton, a ton of Dylan Lewis and Sydney Walton that safety.

I'm talking 40 plus snaps. There's no reason why they shouldn't play that many snaps in a game like this. And if it goes the way that it needs to go, defensively play aggressive, get your turnovers. This is when you stack up turnovers. Why do you've been a good sacking football team so far? 10 sacks in the game and the season so far. They had four of the other not. They had six. I believe he gets firmin. Dominate the line of scrimmage, which you will, but also also go get that football. These are the things I want to see Tennessee doing in a game like Kennis Hall State. We'll check off how many they accomplished on Monday or really after the game. We'll be with you all weekend long right here on Lockdown Balls. Bucky Bentley's coming up. Nags a little locked on talking balls. All that more right here on your Friday show. This episode is brought to you by supplyhouse. It's a 745 kick tomorrow. That's a bit annoying, but it is football time in Tennessee. I'm never going to complain about that.

I don't care what Josh Hyple says. I don't care that he was in a bad mood on Monday. This is a tune up game and Tennessee going there, handle business and get ready for Texas. Yeah, you caught me in a weird mood. This morning as we sit down and record locked on talking balls. I'm sitting here thinking, oh, man, I'm kind of in the mindset of Josh Hyple. Just what do we need to do in this game? Nothing. We just need to stay healthy, go play, win and move on to Texas. But we do have a saying around here, Caner. Don't take these games for granted. Don't get in, drink it in. I think the tailgate is going to be the main event on Saturday. It's going to be the tailgate, not the game. We're going to be going live for a post game show right after I think three people may still be awake when this game's over. How crazy is it? We're going to go play Kennesaw State at 745 on a Saturday. And then when Texas rolls into town, we're going to kick things off at noon. Just an absolute joke. Yeah, I don't like it. The Kent State game a couple of years ago was a 745 kick. And it's always one of these cupcake games. It's like, you know, you got to like take one for the team. It's TV.

They're controlling everything. I understand all that. Obviously, the main show in town this week is an Oxford with LSU and an old in the US. I understand that. But man, it's a complete travesty. Yeah, it's on ABC. Who cares? It's a complete travesty that Texas and Tennessee is in new and cake. We've known that for months. I understand that. But on this note, man, like what do you want to see? I echo the no injuries starting to kind of pile up. We'll talk about that here in a moment. But what do you want to see from this football team? Because for me, I've been kind of talking about it all week long. As simple as it sounds, I just want to see confidence. I want this team feeling good about themselves. I mean, Jerry Mac is a great coach. Kennesall states a good program turned that thing around third year and FBS last year, one of the title, the conference title, played in a ball game. It's still not going to be a competitive football game. So feel good about yourself. Go make plays and be on cloud nine. I guess be boastful. You know, like have something about you heading into that Texas game because

you're going to need everything and then some against Texas. Yeah, confidence is a good word, man. Specifically for me up front on the offensive line and you and I kind of talked about it on Monday morning on my show. I think Tennessee knows who their best five is up front. I think it's David Sanders, Windell Boy, Sam Pendleton. I think it's going to be Sham Umarov at right garden, no matter what people think, no matter everybody talking about Donovan Haslum. I get it when you look at the snap counts and you see that Sham Umarov played 54 snaps and Donovan Haslum played 14 this past week against Georgia Tech. I think he is one of your best five up front along with Jesse Perry at right tackle. I want to see some confidence out of that bunch. And yes, it's coming off of pretty much back to back 300 yard rushing games. You rush for over 300 against Furman. You rush for 299 against Georgia Georgia Tech. That's pretty dang good numbers. But it's not all as clean and pretty and nice as you want it to be. But it's never going to be I love the quote from Josh Iple. Ain't got to be perfect ain't going to be perfect. We know it's never going to be perfect, but you strive for perfection. And I think there's a lot we can clean up in that run game.

And you look at the Sean Bishop stats and I don't know that they tell the whole story. 20 carries 147 yards against Georgia Tech. I forget the number. I bet you know it. How many of those yards were after contact? Was it like 90? I thought I saw like 84. So let's let's go with 84. 84 yards after contact somebody in my comment section said this. I'm like, you know what? You're right. These running backs at times are making this offensive line look better than they've looked through two weeks. So for me, get it right up front. Figure out who your best five is. Play those guys. Stop at the rotation crap. Let's figure out who our best five guys are up front before we get ready for Texas in two or a week. Man, a week a week away from Texas. I know a week away from Texas. What do you want to see from Fadez on Brandon? And how long do you want to see Fadez on Brandon play? I am always of the if it's a blowout who gives a crap about coming out for the first series of the second half of much like Furman. Again, this guy. This is his third game. Still needs to do it. Come out play a couple of series in the third quarter. You don't want him to get hurt. Can't coach. Can't play scared. I get it.

But I mean, as many reps as Fadez on Brandon can be getting right now, I think is a good thing. Yeah, I don't know, man. It's kind of cliche to say it, but I keep saying it. I do want to see him come out. I want to see him go through the motions, right? Something you and I talked about with the Georgia Tech game. It was his first time getting on the bus driving down, going to an away state and first time in that locker room. It's his first time seeing everything. So the more reps he can get, you know, the more you do it, the more you get comfortable. So he got to see half time adjustments against Furman. He got to see half time adjustments against Georgia Tech. Let's go ahead and let's go through the motions one more time against Kennesaw State. So get him a drive, get him two drives in the second half, get him out of there. I want to see him throw the football, man. And I think, you know, we saw that a little bit more against Furman and everybody was excited about the throws that he made and two thing to two games in it is saying he's not put the ball in harm's way. He's protecting the football and it's not just, oh, well, he didn't turn it over. No name of throw, name of throw where somebody could have could have picked it off or made Tennessee pay. And I get it.

He wasn't perfect. He struggled a little bit with accuracy in the Georgia Tech game. But I want to see him go out and throw the football. I think Tennessee's game plan will say, let's just go run it 45 times. And I don't think Georgia Tech can stop us. Now I've been complaining saying he needs to run the football more. One design run against Georgia Tech. I said that's not enough. But again, I think that comes down to game plan. Are we going to see phase on Brandon run the football against Kennesaw State? I don't think so, but I still can't make sense out of nonsense. I still can't figure out why you ran him as much against Furman and then did run him against Georgia Tech. That just doesn't make sense to me. So I don't expect to see anything from phase on Brandon, but I do want to see him stretch the field vertically. I don't even think we've started to see Caner what this passing off and see even looks like through two weeks of the season. You know, I don't think I don't think they needed to run him against Georgia Tech. Like, I mean, what you got up three scores in the third quarter, it's like, okay, well, I just think I mean, you kind of go into that mode. You were in Oklahoma and like, and I talked about it on a show earlier this week.

There's a difference in complimentary and conservative football play calling. Like your defense is dropping like flaws on the defensive line. They've been out there a ton. You're up three touchdowns. You're on the road playing a power for team. Just run the football. Oh, yeah, you ran the football effectively for 300 yards. There's nothing wrong with that. Like I know he was five of the 15 in the first half, but I don't think Tennessee was scared of the football. They couldn't throw the football with phase on Brian. A hell of a two touchdown. So like, I think there's a difference there in, okay, well, we're just going to go and run the football and because we're having success. It'd be different if you're just running it, running it, then punting it. I get that, but you're having success then just, you know, putting the ball in the harmer's way and having to like, you know, make him make those throws or wanting him to go run the football. And that's how he needs to. There's always that debate all these typical high bull getting up scores and being too conservative. And sometimes he has been in pass and I completely get it like, you know, individual drives, individual series, punting from the plus side of the field, like stuff like that. Like I hear you.

I just everybody, everybody hears complimentary football and they cringe because the butch zone said it. I got news for you. It's a real thing. It's a real thing at every single level. Every single coach that's a part of this game, high school college NFL, complimentary football is a real thing. Hey, you remember the Texas tag game in 2023? That was to a T complimentary football. That's how you win football games and not to me. That's evolving as a head coach. But anyway, get off. I always get on a little mini rant with you. I don't know why I do that. I guess you bring out the worst. I get through the mud. I bring out the best in you. Cana, I get it twisted. I bring out the best in you. I bring out the real, you know, my chat on Tuesday night says, Cana would never come around here on a Tuesday. He couldn't handle us. I was like, you guys have no clue who the real air at cana is. I'm trying to drag him out every single time we get together online, whether it's here or on talking balls. I'm trying to show you guys the real. There's a human boy over there. There is a real human boy on that side of the screen. Now, but to your point though, yeah, like I don't think they had to run in the control attack. Will you run in the, because this all stayed? I don't know.

Are you going to run against Texas? Are you better because I think that's part of this game. I want to get your thoughts on the big news of the week tied in Ethan Davis. Unfortunately, he's going to be out for the season. All that and more plus let's take a look around the SEC and get Boogie's progress report through two games. Better worse about the same from what you thought Tennessee was going to be. All that and more as we continue on here this Friday morning, a little lockdown talking balls. If you got a sweet tooth like I do, if you got a sweet tooth like Boogie Bentley does, I know how tough. We know how tough it is to find that perfect treat without all the sugar. It feels smooth with a responsive touchscreen. It feels fast and precise and with long lasting battery life. It feels like non stop energy with a laptop that can keep up. Built for those who want better the Dell XPS built for you. Tough blow for Tennessee's offense tough blow for senior Ethan Davis who

um, man he's a good kid. Works as tail off. I know we said good kid. Hey, free was good. He is a good kid. Really good kid. It's always been so respectful to the media members and even in his recruiting. I covered his recruitment, you know, on the phone with him or texting him during the time he was always so respectful and understood the job. And he works as tail off. And I mean, the guy can just never stay healthy and you hate it for him. This is a big one for him because he's going to miss the season and an injury that I don't think anybody at the time really thought was dire. And unfortunately he's going to miss the remainder of the season. Now what's that mean for Tennessee's offense at the time position, Boogie? How big of a blow is this? You know, again, just to reiterate what you I hate it for Ethan Davis because I kind of talked about him in the off season. And I expected him to have a big year this year because it feels like he just continued to choose Tennessee. Right. You talk about his recruitment. He chose Tennessee and then he comes in his freshman year and he was a guy that was highly talented. Man, he was a guy that people were saying could he come in as a freshman and make an impact. And then what does Tennessee do? They go to the portal, McCallan Castles next the next season.

What do they do? Miles Kitsleman, Holden Stace, like they just keep going back to the portal. And I felt like 2025 he really started to come on late in the year and kind of show who he could be. So I was expecting big things from a man we see a touchdown reception in both of the first two games. So you hate it for him, but then Tennessee. Now you got to turn to Desson Brain. You got to turn to Trent Thomas to kind of step in and fill that void. And I think Brain's got all the athleticism. I think he's the guy that you can slide out in the slot and he can make all the plays look like a true receiving tied in. The question is can he come down on the inside and can he be that big physical blocking tied in? And I think that's just the question. I think Tennessee is going to be okay. When you look at the starters, right? When you look at Trent Thomas and you look at Desson Brain, I think they're going to be okay there. It's when you start talking about death, then you go behind them and you look at Cole Harris and you look at freshman Luca Wolf. It's even it's similar to the injuries that Tennessee is sustained like Idris for Rook. Yes, we didn't want to lose Idris for Rook, but you look behind him and it's like, all right, here comes your boy, the Jean, the Jean Lane is going to be an update on that update on that.

So the roster pronunciation guy says, Dejan Lane, like just I can it's in my memory. I'm hearing Mike Keith on the Mike Keith show and on the highlight calls call him like the Zon, days on like with a Z. So I, I, I am just perplexed dude. I'm just going to call him Lane, all right. Lane. The funniest thing was after you came on my show Monday, I always listen to the high-pitched press conference. I don't listen to it live. So I had no clue what was in there and he says Dejan Lane, Dejan Lane. So I have no idea how to pronounce his name, but my Keith emphasizes the Z like Zon. I don't know, buddy. I don't know Lane. His name is Lane. We'll just call him Lane. But you know when EG's for Rook got hurt, you knew that Lane Lane could step in there and kind of fill that spot. But then now you look behind the lane, right? You're losing your two deep, the guys that are in your two deep and give you that that depth that you want now because of the injuries. And that's the way I look at the tight end position. I think Tennessee is going to be okay. I think Trent Thomas, I think the song, Brainer, going to be okay.

But if something happens there or you need another body or you know, you get into the the grind of the SEC, I think it just hurts your depth overall. It does. And that was going to leave you in my next question. And I hate like rating injuries. I think that's fair and that's not what we're going to do. But you look at it holistically. Jayden Harman's injury. I hate it for him. He was coming along, but that's a big room, right? Jadaeus Richard experienced guy. Unfortunately injuries in this past. He was going to be Tennessee's fourth corner. Well, you look at Tennessee's fourth corner, get short attack and he had three straight pass in her parents calls. So maybe there's more to that one now. Joe Kim Dodson back up slot. You know, wasn't going to get a ton of run probably at water. See for this year, but he was coming along. He was kind of a safety net and he was a guy that play outside as well. And he was your kicker, Turner. And obviously he's been doing some things there. Now he's gone. And then of course you mentioned a tree's for who was a starter. And I echo everything you said about the depth of that position. And now it's, you know, Braim and Thomas having to step up for Ethan Davis. So it's starting to pile up a little bit.

You're weak too. And again, I know people roll the rise when I say this or whoever says this. I mean, like, like if you can't handle injuries, don't watch football. Like it is what it is. Like it's a contact. And sometimes those non-contact injuries are the most severe. It just happens. It is what it is. But are we at a point to where you're starting to be a little bit concerned about the depth of this football team, Buggie? Yeah, I mean, there were spots on this team that I was concerned about the depth going into the season before we even started to get hurt. And now, you know, the name is that you rattle up. Like I hate it for Joe Kim, Dawson and Jaden Harman. Dawson, now you bring up a good point with special teams, but I hate it for their development. Yes. You know, they need a year of practice and a year of in-game reps and a year of development. Because you're going to have to count on those guys in the future. Now they've got a full season on the sideline. Now can they let's go with Bush Jones top of common here? Can they take mental reps and continue to get better? Of course they can, but you want those guys to be healthy. But man, it is concerning. Gosh, you look at the game Saturday. It felt like every other play somebody was hobbling off the field for Tennessee.

Jesse Perry banged up Dave and Hobbs. He's in a walking boot. Is he fine? Is he not fine? Did he hurt the ankle? You got to stay healthy. David Sanders hobbled off. Ethan Utley hobbled off. Isaiah Campbell was in a no contact. Jersey. That's that's what I'm concerned about. Man, I really don't know how good this football team is two weeks into the season. I'm not going to know anymore on Saturday. But then when Texas comes to town and you get into that SEC grind, this schedule is going to get real. How deep is Tennessee? I think now more than ever we talk about parody and college football. The parody and college football makes it really tough to build depth on a football team. The goner of the days of Nick Sabin having five stars, three deep. That's over with and you look at Tennessee's roster, defense of line. Can they handle the ground of the SEC? The secondary, particularly man, you mentioned Jadais Richard. Again, it's one of those things. Well, if we stay healthy, you know, if Kay and Lee and Ty Redmond stay healthy, we'll be okay. But man, if you have to rely on a fourth corner, great point, man.

The guy that you're going to have to rely on had three 15 yard penalties in one drive. So yes, depth is a concern. But I think it's a concern for everybody around the country. I think it's just a concern in college football. I couldn't agree more about that statement. I remember I think it was a lot maybe it was two years ago, whatever it was, I was making like I was mentioning it on podcasts and like maybe I was making a big deal like off the air. But like Tennessee doesn't know is you know, you know, you know, your third off of the tackle is, but you don't have anybody ever that Tennessee's in trouble. Tennessee's in trouble and like Bernhub is like, dude, nobody knows who their fourth backlash right now. Like it's not just Tennessee. It's everybody because again, if you're not playing, you can't stockpile anymore. You're gone. And I'm like, I mean, that's a really good point. I mean, my bet just kind of where you are in college football nowadays. It's changed a lot. There's so much that's changed. Look at the quarterback room. Like a quarterback room is impossible to keep full of talent. We were lucky to have a guy like Gaston Moore. We were lucky to have a stop. Transferring here pretty much knowing I'm just going to be that emergency guy. And the counter to that, the counter to that book is, well, Lane does it every single year.

Yeah. Well, I know he's annoying and I know he's stupid and all that. But Lane's like 101, dude. Like like Lane and what Georgia, Georgia's done with Kirby stockpile and quarterbacks. Like that just doesn't happen. Going to, now there's a lot of money involved, but like Dante Moore going to Oregon to sit and wait his turn. Like that just doesn't really happen much anymore. So like unless there's a, there's a couple of situations with quarterback specifically. But again, you look across 97, 98% of all college football teams. You ain't playing. You're moving. Yeah, there's the exception and there's the rule. I think Lane is the exception to the rule. Lane's also got a whole lot of this now. You got a whole lot of money in his back pocket. Yeah, no doubt about it. All right, Buggie, out the door, man, give me a prediction of some sort. It's maybe it's a score prediction. Maybe it's a player prediction. Maybe it's a, give me something for tomorrow that we can be going to be tracking during this blowout. We don't pretend to say. Oh, man, you don't want it spoiler alert. We're recording this a day earlier than normal. So I've done my Wednesday, not show. I've not even put a prediction yet. I don't even have a score prediction. But guess what? We're going to wing it right here on a Friday and more than this.

We've locked on talking balls. We're just going to make it up. I think what Tennessee's favored by 35 and I have something crazy like that. The ESPN spoiler alert, the ESPN loves Tennessee this week. All of a sudden, I don't know if it's the win over Georgia Tech. All the numbers that dropped off last week that didn't really make sense. All shifted back into Tennessee's favorite this week. Texas just beat number one Ohio State. They are the number one ranked team in the country. And ESPN's FBI went up in favor of Tennessee this week. It went up against Arkansas. It went up against Alabama and South Carolina. So the ESPN FBI for whatever reason loves Tennessee right now, but you're favored by 35 and a half the ESPN FBI loves you. It's a glorified scrimmage. It's late at night. Tennessee's going to go out. They're going to handle business. I would I like I like the word you're throwing around with confidence. I want to see this offensive line. The starting five. I want to see David Sanders, window, boy, Sam Pendleton, Shammoomer, I've ingest you, Perry. Go out and whip. Kennesaw State's tail. I want them to push them all over the field. I want Tennessee to rush for another 300 yards,

but I guess I'm selfish because I want to see phase on Brandon sling the rock a little bit too. I'm not worried about running in this week. I was worried about it last week. I was mad about it last week. I think that Georgia Tech game. Yes, hindsight's 20 2020. They won 45 24. We didn't need to run the football. What about when Tennessee was down 10 to seven? Did Tennessee need to run the football when they were down 10 to set? Did they need to run the football? When they had a three and out in the first quarter. I digress. I don't need to see him running against Kennesaw State. Just go out. Be physical. Push Kennesaw State around. Build that confidence. I want to see phase on throw the ball a little bit and then just be healthy. I know it's coach speak. I know it's cliche. I know it's nonsense. This season starts in week four. This season starts when Texas comes to town. Week four is when we're going to as Tennessee fans. We can either be obnoxious, arrogant jerks on the internet. We're going to have to tuck our tail between our legs and just take the abuse from other teams because Texas is going to define. I think man, you find a way to beat Texas. You're playing with house money. You got a shot to go make a college football playoff. You lose. It's going to be a tough season to get to that postseason.

Oh, I didn't even make my prediction. Let's go Tennessee 48 Tennessee 48 Kennesaw State 7 48 to 7. That's just right off the top of my head. Do I have Tennessee covering? Yes, I do. They're covering. Hey, barely, barely, but you got Tennessee covering. No, no, no, no, no. I was thinking of the total. Yes, you had Tennessee covering. You also, you also have hit the under slightly the under slightly. If you're picking it at 56 and a half, which I think is where it's at right now. But oh, man, I should have put a few more points on there. I like Tennessee to take the over. I might have messed up here on a Friday morning edition of Locked on Talking Falls.
