About this episode
You’ve prayed. You’ve planned. You are ready to do something huge for God... but all you hear is silence. It feels like rejection, but what if it’s actually your greatest test?
In this devotional, Rob Westwood-Payne explores the "hidden years" of Jesus to reveal the truth about God’s silence. Before Jesus performed a single miracle, he spent 30 years in ordinary obscurity. Why? Because heaven opens over ordinary obedience.
If you feel stuck in the waiting room of destiny, looking for a sign, this message will shift your perspective from frustration to faithfulness. Discover the one small thing Jesus modelled that turns a season of silence into a lifetime of preparation.
Key Takeaways:
- Why God’s silence is not his absence.
- The spiritual significance of Jesus’ 30 years as a carpenter.
- How to practice "ordinary obedience" at work, home, and in your community.
- A prayer for patience and integrity in the waiting.
Scripture: Matthew 3:16-17, Micah 6:8 (NLT)
Next Step:
Stop looking for a sign in the distance and look for the assignment right in front of you. Challenge yourself to do one small, faithful act of obedience today.
