About this episode
Have you ever felt like your life is too ordinary for God to use? Same alarms, same traffic, same inbox. But in Exodus 4, God asks Moses one simple question that changes everything: "What is that in your hand?"
In this short devotional, we explore how God takes the ordinary things we hold - our identity, our income, and our influence - and uses them for his extraordinary purpose. The world says you need more talent, more time, or more confidence. But the Bible’s take is different: God starts with what you already have.
📖 Scripture:
"Then the Lord asked him, 'What is that in your hand?' 'A shepherd’s staff,' Moses replied." — Exodus 4:2 (NLT)
⚡ One Next Step:
Identify one thing in your hand today (a tool, a role, a relationship). Name what it represents in your life. Then, pray the simple prayer of surrender below: "Lord, use this, even if it scares me."
🙏 Prayer for Today:
Lord, my identity is yours. My work is yours. My influence is yours. Take what is in my hand - however ordinary it feels - and use it for your glory. Amen.
