I no longer have a fake Lamborghini behind me. I changed it out with a fake landscape of a city that shall not be named. Jokes aside though, I think I'm just gonna get straight to the point in this video because it's say important video I feel for a lot of people and also pretty important for myself.

So, you may have noticed that I sold all my stuff. I no longer own my home. I got rid of my car. And instead of listing everything out, I'll just list everything I do have. I have this desk. I have this computer and I have a bed. Very comfortable bed. That's it. And in this video, I want to explain why not from the point of, hey look at, look at how minimalistic and woke I am. It's more so from the point that I truly believe the way that I was living life and my views and my experience was flawed. Especially when it comes to fulfillment and achieving happiness and running a really strong business. And overall, I feel if your fulfillment in life comes from business, operating by a lot of the views that I held or held or the lifestyle that I lived, makes you an extremely weak person. And I definitely want to address that in this video because honestly going through this process has made me significantly happier.

It's made me a much better CEO. It's made me so much more fulfilled. And I think on this channel, my goal with you guys is to more so share with you my mistakes and the places where I was wrong. Because if I can do those things and give you a short and path through the learning curve I've gone through, that will shorten the time it takes you to get to the point where I don't know, things are cool. So let's dive into it. Why on earth would I get rid of all my stuff? Why would I sell my home and all those things? I don't think I'll be able to explain it on one video. I'll probably make multiple videos on this. But at the very base of this creating businesses for the sake of making money and doing everything for the sake of making money and buying things make you a weak person. And it separates you completely from the things that are going to make you most happy and sends you and locks you in the past that have nothing to do with you. It sends you down paths that are not going to be fulfilling and it sends you down past where you have to fill that lack of fulfillment with things or money.

Now I'm not preaching in these videos, be broke or go live on a mountain top without a scent to your name. I'm not doing it at all. I always suggest killing it in business. But you have to understand that your fulfillment in business is not going to come from the money you make after a certain point. Your fulfillment from business is going to come from mastering your craft and building things that you enjoy building. That's all what comes down to. And if you live a lifestyle where your goal of running a business is to make as much profit as possible, if you live a life where the goal is to make as much money as possible, the buys many things as possible, you're going to be extremely disappointing. Because I've gone down that path and it doesn't work out well. And so I think if I can point this out to people and make you realize this because it took me like a decade to realize it, I think I'll be doing a lot of good for the world. So let me explain it like this. I'm going to need my whiteboard or truth and justice to explain this. So luckily for you, the production value of these videos hasn't dropped. I still have the whiteboard.

But let me explain how this works because it's very, very subtle and it's extremely easy to fall into as a new entrepreneur. I fell into it. And I think it was one of the biggest mistakes in my life. It robbed me of so much fulfillment and progress as a person and in my business. It also made me a weak entrepreneur. And let me just explain. So when you first get started in business, what's going to happen is this. You usually get into it for two reasons. One, you want to say fuck you to the world. That's a lot of people's drive. You want to have control and power over your life. And then two, you want to be able to pay your bills and live comfortably. That's usually why people get into the entrepreneurship. Now that's not wrong. And in this video, I'm never going to be preaching, don't make money. I'm what I'm going to be preaching is something very specific. The goal should never be money after a certain point. The goal should be enjoying what you do and getting the most fulfillment from what you do. Because the thing you need to understand is that if you want to build something great that makes a lot of money, you have to be really good at it.

And it's really hard to become really good at something you don't find a ton of fulfillment and enjoy to the craziest degree. And so by going down the path I'm about to talk about right here and focusing on money, you actually make yourself much less money because you get locked into short term decisions when all money that is made is usually based on long term decisions. And it's very hard to make long term decisions if the payoff for your work is only money. The payoff should be the joy of mastering your craft and mastering your trade and working on something you truly love working on with people you love working on it with. And if you go down this path I'm about to talk about, you're going to get locked out of that path. Let me explain. So here's what the big catch happens. So when you first get started maybe your goal is to make 100K a year so you can live in a sufficient enough box your house and have nice enough things maybe a nice car maybe a Mercedes or something like that. And that's not wrong. The first thing you want to really fill in the void for is your essential needs and not living in squalor for lack of better words.

But then this is where people get confused as an entrepreneur and this is where most people get confused in life in general we look at society we look at Instagram we look at YouTube now if we back up cause football is back so Hilton called me the superstition concierge to make your fan rituals a reality need a room to match your lucky number we got you want to make sure our team doesn't wash your lucky jersey. Oh that smells lucky. Hilton's unmatched hospitality can keep up with any superstition even a marching bandwink up call it 5555 seconds hit it. For a second the way you usually get to your first hundred K seventy K whatever stable lifestyle money you have is by building a business that isn't really based around fulfillment. You're usually going to build a business that pays the bills now I'm not saying you're building a business that's bad or that you shouldn't be building what I'm saying is you're building a business that really isn't based around you and what's going to make you happy. And the funny thing that people notice when they first get into it is even though the business isn't based around fulfillment it isn't something that you personally are that interested in.

You have massive amounts of joy because you're unlocking a challenge and where human fulfillment comes from is looking forward to something to work on that's the number one sign of happiness then there's there's also your social situation and how close you are with your family and friend and stuff like that. But if your purpose in life is like mine where you want to build things you enjoy creating things your joy is going to come from the work and mastering your trade and so usually what you're going to notice is what I know is when I was thinking about is the time when I was happiness when I was when I just had a desk and could just work on whatever work I wanted to work on my rent was like two thousand bucks a month I was making a hundred thousand a month I had no need for money whatsoever. That's the way as the man in law and would say if you see that show it's fucking awesome but that's the way because that's when you're most happy but then something nasty happens see you start thinking all right well what's next what do I do after this where do I go from here and if you look at Instagram you look at society look what everybody's telling you the way to go and be more happy is to get more things and make more money.

You have to make more money so you can make more things okay you made your first hundred K now to make a million dollars what's the million dollars for I mean seriously think about what's the million dollars for what's the 10 million dollars for if that's profit what's it for what's the end game. If you're not putting it into your business it's to get a bigger box to live in and a nicer car to drive and and bunches of things and bunches of things and bunches of things that if you look at all the rich people the definition of rich in our society these are the things that everybody else is doing so this must be what makes you happy this must be what is going to make you happy but you see what happens right here is you start shifting more and more away from the thing that actually makes you happy. You're building cool things and working on something you love and then you get deeper down this okay now you're making a million dollars well how do you how do you feel satisfaction that well now you're going to make 10 million dollars and you got a bigger box and you get more shit and you got to keep more compete more of the Jones is and then you go oh whoa you made 10 million dollars now you can make a hundred million dollars.

When the fact is there's no amount of money you can make there's no car you can buy this ever going to give you more than a short term burst of satisfaction and so what's going to actually end up happening is you end up getting separated from the thing that is actually you to think it actually makes you happy that work the joy of building and creating that's the thing that's going to make you happy that's the challenge you will never be able to figure out for a hundred years. See the human brain derived satisfaction from patterns and turning patterns in the order that's why when you listen to a new song with unique patterns in it you feel intense amount of joy and then when you listen to it a hundred times does nothing for you. It's the same thing that comes with making money and buying things there's just new patterns that you eventually understand and do nothing for you they will never do anything for you they won't bring you any sense of joy whatsoever after the initial burst. You'll feel the same exact joy when you buy your first nice car as when you buy a car it's worth four hundred thousand dollars and so what happens is if you get locked into this path right here.

Well it starts getting really nasty because you have to keep increasing the lifestyle you have to keep going going up in lifestyle up in objects to feel anything. This is why you see so many people on Instagram with so much bullshit it's because they're lost they're locked into a life of financial substance abuse because they have to get so drunk it's like drinking it's like doing drugs you have to keep taking a bigger and a bigger and bigger hit to feel something because your brain keeps figuring out the pattern keeps figuring out the pattern. And that's a scary part about all this because once you do this it starts actually taking away from your ability to have joy let me explain. So when you're at this point right here you're actually more free to anybody that's down this path right here because you have choices you don't have to keep working on your first business your lifestyle cheap everything's cheap and so that does two things for you first off you have choices. You have choices you can you can do an about face and do whatever you want you got enough money especially when you get to this point right here.

So for example when I was having my first million dollar years I had a 2000 per month rent apartment I had no use for money I'd absolutely no use for money and because of that I was completely free now don't get me wrong I know some people are going to put in the comment section I'll backers businesses exploded on the contrary. The businesses are doing better than ever especially the businesses that I want to work on because I can dedicate all my time the businesses that aren't based around money first and foremost I can be I can make completely long time. So I can make a decision and that's one of the reasons why I got rid of everything and you'll understand it here in a second. I no longer have to work on any business I don't want to work on and I can work exclusively on the things I love and because I can work exclusively on the things that I love without any worry about money at all zero fucks for money I have no use for it. My rent in this place I'm in right now paid for the next 100 years. It doesn't matter if I make a million dollars a year or 20. College football is back so Hilton called me the superstition concierge to make your fan rituals a reality need a room to match your lucky number we got you want to make sure our team doesn't wash your lucky jersey.

This is a job for indeed sponsor jobs. I'm not going to maximize the things that I really like for the first time in a long time and I love it. But let's get back to the point especially when you get to this point right here you have the option to work on anything you want and if you keep your lifestyle and financial super low. You are like a professional athlete or a person that gets in a boxing match that doesn't need a breath for air well every other business owner out there and every other person out there is making decisions based on short term financial gain. You can make decisions just based on your customer and your product and your business. You can you can go out there and you can be like Jeff Bezos where you don't need to worry about making a profit at all all you have to worry about is having fun building the business and building something that's awesome for your customer awesome for you and awesome for your team and that's where the happiness is going to come from.

That's where the joy is going to come from in your life. But you won't see that because that's not what people will tell you. It's not a lesson that's that's just learn. You start identifying with the money you're making and getting more stuff and you look at all the people that are talking about success on Instagram and YouTube and you get fucking lost. You get fucking lost. And because of that you start obtaining all these things that remove your options. You no longer can just say fuck you I'm going to work on whatever I want to work on. You no longer can pursue businesses that you are super interested in bringing lots of joy. You no longer can be completely reckless with your business because you have something to lose. The things that you have bought and the money you have made now own you and your actions in life. You now don't have control. That's the problem. That's what I realized. And so I wake up every single morning in a giant house with a $400,000 car.

It takes me two minutes to walk to my office. I'm constantly dealing with the bullshit that comes with owning a giant house. I'm constantly having to deal with all the excess bills and silly shit that come with owning these lavish things and having a lavish lifestyle. And at the point of that, while I can easily afford it, it's a massive distraction. And I have something to lose. There's something to lose. If the business were to explode or something and work out, well you lose the house. You lose the car. And if you identify with those things, it's very painful. That's what every person who has a lot of money and has a lot of shit. That's their biggest fear losing all their shit. And so I realize, what if I just take that fear head on? What if I just got rid of all my shit? Then I have nothing to be afraid of. And I can do whatever the fuck I want whenever I want without any fear. And that's when it hit me. The time when I was happiest in my life is when I own nothing but a mattress and a desk. And I could work on whatever I wanted to work on. And so what I've been doing the past few months is I said, what do I want to work on?

I only really want to work on my company, HiRos. And frankly, whenever I make a profit at HiRos, I essentially erase that profit by hiring more people and growing the company and buying stuff that's good for the customer. But I can't do that if I'm worried about making tons of money. I can't do that if I'm trying to sustain a lifestyle. And the thing is, if you're trying to sustain a lifestyle, the lifestyle won't even make you happy. It separates you from the thing that makes you happy. And if I'm doing those things and I'm operating based on this short term, I can't do it's best for the customer. And I can't build the company that I want to build. And then I'll be forced to work on things I don't want to work on, which in the long term will make me less money, because I'm not going to enjoy working on those things. And so I thought, what would really make me happy? Not having all this bullshit in my life. Not having a downside. And being able to be a CEO that has a massive advantage over other CEOs. And I'll talk about this on an entrepreneurship level in our next video, because I don't want to go too long in this video. But when you no longer have a use for money, you can go all in in your business. And most other entrepreneurs can't.

So that allows you to fuck them up really badly. Because if somebody is trying to make 100,000 a month profit from their business, the easiest way to beat them is just not make a profit. And so I said, wow, why don't I just go back to the basics? And so I thought to myself, if working on the things is what brings me the most joy, the most happy I ever am is when I wake up at 4am every morning, go grab some coffee, go down to my computer and get the work. And the least happy I am is when I'm dealing with all this bullshit. Why don't I just get rid of all the bullshit? It's my downside. It's the thing that's making me weak in my business. And so that's exactly what I did. I have no debt. I have no material objects to worry about whatsoever. My bills are so easy to cover and maintain that I can completely focus on what's good for the customer and the business long term. I don't even have to worry about making a profit. And I can do whatever the fuck I want, whenever the fuck I want. And I can work on whatever the fuck I want. And it's beautiful. It's absolutely amazing.

It allows me to be a better CEO. It allows me to maximize the things in my life that I love most and reduce all the things that I don't like. And all my life involves right now is waking up stress-free and working on things I love, going to sleep and then repeating that over and over and over again. And it's super cool. So that's a really big thought. And I hope I explained it well to you. In the next few videos I'll explain it from an entrepreneurship perspective because it makes me, it allows me to be such a better CEO, such a better focus to CEO for my company. And I'll also talk about just from a purely distraction-based perspective. Because I'll tell you, dude, the more you own, the less you get the less time you get to spend working on things that you actually enjoy and doing the things that you actually enjoy. But what I like to do is go below and leave your thoughts. If you think it's stupid, if you think it's crazy, if you think it's cool, whatever you want, put it in there. And I'll respond in the first 24 hours. And if you like this video, you should definitely go and subscribe because I'm releasing a lot more videos,

kind of based on this stuff and what I'm actually doing in my businesses. And be sure to hit the notification bell because YouTube won't always share this stuff with you. So that being said, in the next video I'll be kind of talking more about this from an entrepreneurship perspective and how you should really look at it as a beginner entrepreneur or a person that already has a business. And again, I want to stress, I'm not saying everybody should sell all their shit and go super minimalistic. That's not what I'm saying at all. I'm saying you should maximize the things in your life that matter and you should figure out what those things are and you should remove everything else because life is way too short to be spent working on businesses you're not absolutely in love with and doing and spending your time doing stuff you absolutely love. And anything that separates you from that is bullshit. And you so you should get rid of bullshit. I'll see you in the next video.
