There's not enough high end talent yet where it's like, OK, when you get to week eight, though, some of these guys, Jacob Rodriguez, there's some players who look like they got a future. And that's what they're trying to do this year. But I don't see the pop for anybody that's going to happen. That's going to change their trajectory. So, but look, they have to take their medicine. It's been about 30 years of sort of half taking it. It's like fully taken. Anyway, let's get back to the heat. We are almost there. So we're going to go through the east here a little bit. I saw the bleach report had a prediction that Janus could finish fifth in a league and scoring. I actually think it's going to be higher than that. But what we're going to do, what we're going to do today is going to go through the Eastern Conference. And let's try to rank players in the Eastern Conference. And let's wrap for this at all.

7:24OK, I'm going to throw out some of the better plays in the players in the conference. And then we're going to try to sort of mock them up here on the other side. OK, so let's and coise officially in the east as we're recording this. So that's the news of the day. That's the hook is that basically the NBA let him get away scot free with all this. Are you putting, are you putting, they've got a lot of good players. You're putting Dyson Daniels in there. Nikkei Alexander Walker, I think, belongs in there. Yeah, he's in the conversation. And I think like on a certain night, CJ McCallum can be in that conversation. He did it one night in the playoffs. But like if we're going to get down to the top one, you'll see CJ, I think we put CJ instead of Dyson. People might argue with it, but I don't know that either they're going to make it. So what we'll put them both there. OK, are AD. AD tray. OK, I think that eliminates them Charlotte. Caniple.

10:28Yeah, Con Brandon Miller. Brandon Miller, who might win most improved player because of the usage of taking is going to get. Michael Porter Jr. Michael Porter Jr. If you're putting Michael Porter Jr. Then Nas Reed and Charlotte, he gets to make the list because I don't like Michael Porter Jr. Anyway, OK, so put not is there too. Michael part, I find out either. MPJ, I think Randall goes on the list. I think he's forgetting he's with and that's now. OK, OK, now we got a bunch of nicks. The entire starting five. Yeah, give it to all of them. So Bronson, Mikkel. Bronson, Mikkel, Josh Hart, or although I think he makes it cat. And. But yeah, like to your point, we know Josh Hart's out. And OG only because the tip in like, you know, we're. Dodd and Mitchell.

11:28Mobley Jared Allen gets a shout. Allen, Mobley, Harden. Yeah, putting in Watson there. I guess you have to because we don't know if he's an ascending player quite yet. We think he is. But I mean, let's see, let's see him with no joke or I think he's going to be fine. But let's just see Milwaukee got to put Tyler in there somewhere, right? Yeah, is he is he the player he's the player we put in there for them, right? Jaime. He's the only one that I think could crack a top 20 in the conference. And that's just by virtue of the he could average 27 again next year on that team. I mean, Rollins, where I mean a whole bunch of guys there. I don't know. Are we missing a team? I think we got everybody. Do we? Um, I'm sure we're missing somebody. Go Chicago. Um, I mean, I'd like to, I mean, we could go through the rooks too. I think like Caleb Wilson is an interesting player, but I don't know that he's in the top 20. What if you go do that, you got to put AJ in there.

12:30Correct. And no one else on that roster, I think, is worthy of that discussion. Who did we need? Norm Powell. I guess norm coming off an all star season. He gets it. He was top 12 in the conference last year, going to be an also and Josh Giddy. Yeah, he had a good year last year and kicked the heats ass a couple of times. All right. So here's how many players. This is just off the top. I think we're going to have a little bit more than four or five six. And by, we don't have pellet in here. And I, he might win most of the player, but one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, sixteen. You got every team. We basically have 50 players. Okay. On the other side, we're going to try to narrow this down a little bit. But I, this exercise, the point of it, other than just getting us through another day, is that there are a lot of good players in the east. Like the all star competition this year is going to be something. And again, we haven't included a couple guys that I know. Like with your pellet and Davion. But I, I don't think that'll make top 20 anyway. So it seems fair. All right. Here's what should be top one.

So that that is how it is But it's crazy if we were to even expand it to 25 It's interesting that we kind of got in that range when we were narrowing it down Just inherently we knew that other guys weren't going to make that cut So um, it's a really deep conference But it is interesting to see that you do see a drop off around that 24-ish moment You start to get to some very good players. Jalen durin, zubats, rj barit, wigans Conk nipple There's some of these guys that could pop But what we're not going to see anymore and I don't I don't mean to

You're not going to see the Tyler here a norm power all star this year No, the conference is too deep like they got in when they could get in they can always say they're all star guards Right, but they're not going to be an all-star like that this year Unless they surprise if milwaki is in the Seed at the east at the ball start break then Tyler may get a spot But I don't know that that's going to happen either But that's not what I mean I feel like what I'm saying is it's more the archetype of The just scores and doesn't do a whole lot else like I feel like the 12 guys in the east are going to be like studs like I mean it's going to be jalen and it's going to be bam and it's going to be Well, we think it's going to be bam and he's on the french for that But it's going to be you know, it's going to be honest and it's going to be halibut and it's going to be Jalen Johnson and it's going to be brunson and and these kind of players that there's not The very good player or the good player having a very good year

23:47Is not making the east all-star team this year that you are going to have to earn this thing and that is telling It is telling and damn Is one of those that's going to have to earn it, but when you look at the bigs There is still a there's still room for him like unless zubat has a tremendous year A.D. Is completely healthy mbd is completely healthy like that's the only way I'm doing like to try where a one seat again and during is like playing for his contract So he's you know out of this world Cat also as I think going to get more respect than ever because of the championship But they can also fit cat and bam on the roster at the same time like it's not one of the other But it's it's tough if it's cat bam a d and mbd And then you've got possibly a duren or a mowbly like there's six legitimate bigs as we're talking about this before you even get to guys Who are sort of oversized forwards like a palo like there's an alabron like there's a lot of

24:49There's a lot of players in the east and and by the way and yannis is a big also sort of and we know he's on the team for sure provided You know healthy so so yeah this conference is It's loaded it's it's loaded and I think we keep doing these episodes to reinforce that point As we go through it, but you're gonna absolutely have to hurt it like bam Bam has an advantage in that there's gonna be more spotlight on the team There's 25 national tv games before you even get to NBA tv That should certainly help him Um and they're probably gonna win more than they won last year and that will help him And he had the 83 point game last year and that will help him So all of this stuff helps him But he's he's got more competition. He's gonna need to earn it. I mean AD was not in the conference last year Mbid was not healthy So those are and zubas was not in the conference So you've taken three guys to put them in the conference as bigs That were not there last year and he didn't make it last year right? That's a good point especially if you talk about playoff matchups

25:50There's a lot more formidable bigs. It's good that Miami now actually has some front court rotation moments that you're like Okay, they're at least as tall as the other group for their shoulders or is broad But something that you hit on that I think will be Interesting for bam too is if yana says like a banner MVP caliber year I think it will raise the profile of the entire team and all the players But it's tough if you get the MVP to also win like another reward of some kind it happens every once in a while But um, so that's just something to consider is that yana's made both in the past by the way yana's one And defensive player of the year in the same year, which is something that I don't think very many have done So that's a consideration and he does cut into bams and Brady and I did that episode But he he cuts he helps bam but cuts in the bam a little bit So it's the best way though Right, it's better this and the opposite of what oh

26:52The heat can I get the 12th all-star like that's really what we've been talking about the past few years Can they get go out on the team can they get bam is Jimmy gonna want to go if he gets picked like there's none of that stuff this time Or is bam gonna get in the last minute like it's okay, they're gonna have it all start They're probably gonna have the highest vote getter and the conference or one of the two or three So that's not a question the question is can they get a second guy in that guy would most likely be bam And if he gets in he'll be worthy because there's no way to get in Against this group if you're not all right more episodes to come we spent six minutes on Sony Walkmans today But we'll do more as we go forward.
