Alanna Rizzo, Katie Woo, and Clint Pasillas reset the National League Division Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves. With the series tied 1-1 heading east, what has gone right and what needs to improve for LA? The hosts get into Shohei Ohtani's struggles, Andy Pages being off to another slow October start and whether Dave Roberts should change anything lineup wise ahead of a game 3 matchup between Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Chris Sale.

(18:46) In Bleeding Blue, we question the crowd at Dodger Stadium in Sunday's loss. Were they taken out of it too early or should there have been more of an effort to spark something for the home team?

But it really kind of puts a lot of the pressure back on the Dodgers and coming into the DS. It seemed like the Dodgers had the advantage strictly based on a starting pitchy matchup. Want to bring in one came to a live brand new episode at Dodgers territory. I want to risk a Clint Paseas Katie Wu with you on this Monday afternoon. Good to be with you guys. Katie was not with us last night on post game. She was obviously in the clubhouse with the team and all of the things. So Katie, your impressions of kind of what went down there and where did this, where's this team go from here? I think Dave Roberts had a perfectly after game two. They got their work cut out from and it's a three game series. And you definitely think back to game two, which I'm sure will break down even more than you guys did yesterday. The lack of offense. I honestly thought it was a pretty well managed bullpen game from both sides,

but some teams got a score and it was the Braves who did that. But it really kind of puts a lot of the pressure back on the Dodgers and coming into the DS. It seemed like the Dodgers had the advantage strictly based on a starting pitching matchup and the ability to rest their starters compared to the Braves coming in off a wild card series that took three games. They had virtually no pitching. Now it's all square and you have a Yosha, we have a moto versus Chris sale tomorrow and then you have a rest of Tyler Molly for against a rest of Tyler glass now for game four, which will be necessary. And there's just something about a game three or a three game series that I feel like it's so hard to predict. So we'll see. I'm not pressing the panic button all the way on the Dodgers squad. It seems that they have to have a division series drama every year. But I will say, you know, there's going to be a lot of thinking back as to how they've rolled out their pitching for game two. If they should have gone Yamamoto earlier and more importantly, what can they do with the offense to make sure that they can score some runs outside of the home run ball?

Yeah, yeah, they got to see the the bats wake up. You got to see them. They're they're they're getting runners on base. We know this. They're very good at finding ways to get guys on base. And we saw this for a long stretch while they were playing like crap earlier this season. They can get guys on base, but you need to complete some innings, something that Dave Roberts talked about a whole bunch finished off, finish off some innings, use different clubs to find different parts of grass in different situations. I'm not saying they're all up there taking daddy hacks and whatnot. But you know, read a situation and you got to get some more runs home. Somehow some way because it turns out, Riz, this is breaking news. You need to put more points on the board than the other team to win. Yeah, I mean, that's a good formula for sure. One thing too, and Katie, I want to get your opinion about this too. You like the way that both managers, Wys and Roberts manage the bullpen. Do you think obviously hindsight is 2020? I understand that right now, but do you still think it was a good decision to go with Blake,

snail in game two? You have Yamamoto going in game three tomorrow night. Again, hindsight's always 2020. Are you still okay with that decision? Blake's now was going to pitch in this three game or this five game series, excuse me once. And we know that we knew that school will snel and Yamamoto. We're going to get a turn at some point, but I, you know, talk about the discipline on the show before the series. I'm a big believer in your best pitchers pitch. And I, Yosha, no, Yamamoto is their ace and you wonder just based on matchup. And I know that the Braves did not announce that they were going to go bullpen game up until right before, you know, Sunday morning. So again, hindsight 2020. But personally, what have rather had Yamamoto and this is no disrespect to Blake, snail will get into that. I would rather have had Yamamoto against a bullpen game with an opportunity to go up to oh into the series and you just got to win one on the road. It felt like that could have been a steal of a game for Los Angeles. And Blake, snail, when he is on, he's one of the best left handed pitchers in the game.

But I think there, there was right to be some concern over how rusty he would be. He pitched just five innings over the last two and a half weeks. Based on that growing tightness that we saw in Cincinnati was not sharp at all. Yesterday 90 pitches to get through three and two thirds. You want your ace pitching as much as possible. Yes, Yamamoto is probably the guy that you want going against. Chris sale, but if you're trying to stack up wins in this series and you have an opportunity to go Yamma versus the Braves bullpened. Yes, they have to score. And I know this team does not have a good track record scoring, especially in Yamamoto's starts, but I just feel like the optics of having your ace go again. What I think really increased the odds of winning that game too. Now like Dave Roberts said, it's a, it's a best of five series. It's a best of three series now for sure. Yeah, I have a hard time taking the stance I want to take on this, which is Yamamoto should have got the baseball for game two, but I also said ad nauseam for the better part of two months.

It doesn't matter which order you put these guys in. You know, if it was Yamagamon, schoolable game one of a snail game one. In the moment, it's the right decision. Now we have the benefit of hindsight. And let's be fair. Blake Snell did not lose this game for the Dodgers yesterday. It was the offense or the lack thereof for this team. He left three and two thirds and had one run allowed. So like again, it wasn't great. And yes, that set forth in motion. As I said last line on the post game. You know, it was, it was a, sorry, I get distracted by a chat here. I set forth, set forth in motion. All these other guys who kind of pitch had to pitch out of position out of where they should be. I mean, Chris Boobitch coming in as early as he had to and all that kind of stuff. A wild pitch, a great at bat from, from what's his name, Michael Harris, the second, all that kind of stuff. And it just didn't stack the Dodgers way. But still at the end of the day, it was only a three to two loss. I feel good.

I still feel good, guys. I still feel good about where this team is at. I'm a fan first. So to see Jay Z celebrate 30 years like this. Oh, yeah, that's special. I flew to New York to see Jay Z 30 in New York. Now Los Angeles. We get a chance to see it right here. Jay Z 30 is going down in Los Angeles. We're talking two nights at SoFi Stadium. the WNBA playoffs are here, and while the games will be spread across seven different channels and streaming services, one podcast. Keep up to date on all the action. Good game, that define legacies. Can we actually compete for a championship? And I think the answer is yes. You know, the best part about Stubborn's is parents have come up to me. Thank you. You helped my relationship with my daughter so much. It goes a lot further than you would think. Every time you underestimate a Yukon Flare, it comes at your own peril. You know, when you talk about women's sports, it's like Pregos Vagetti sauce. It's in there. You know, it commercial. Like, it's in there. Your name is in there. Want to know what's really going on in the WNBA? We got you. Listen to Good Game with Sarah Spain on the I Heart Radio app Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, it's J.O. from Laugh with me the podcast. So why would you choose Laugh with me? Well, great question. Maybe you like comedy, maybe you like sports, maybe you like movies, ridiculous stories, terrible opinions, questionable rankings, and a grown man somehow turning everyday life into a personal emergency. Or maybe you just want to hear from a podcast host

who has survived bad bosses, angry customers, questionable career decisions, and a pepper spray attack? Yeah, that's right. Other podcasts have hosts with broadcasting degrees. Laugh with me has a survivor. I'm Jeremy Odom. And every week I'm joined by comedians, friends, athletes, weirdos, experts, and occasionally, people who probably should have stopped answering my texts. Authentic, raw, and just like you. Just jokes, stories, arguments, sports, pop culture, and whatever happened to me this week. Listen to Laugh with me, a podcast with Jeremy Odom, on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. Yeah, I mean, that's what I was thinking too. We talked about it yesterday. It wasn't a blowout. And it wasn't as if the daughters had their doors blown off of them. Everyone's questioning whether Blake Snow was the right decision over Yoshenobu Yamamoto. But Walt Weiss is dealing with the questions on the other side as well. It's easy to be Monday afternoon quarterback here. But Walt Weiss is still dealing with it. Why not start Chris Salem game two?

You will pluck it of the Orange County Register just putting this on X moments ago that Walt Weiss explained the decision not to start Chris Salem game two. If we have Salem game two and game five as people were screaming about, we saw it as you're getting a diminished Chris sale twice at that point. We wanted to get a full strength Chris sale. And that's game three, right? So that's tomorrow night's game. Then possibly impacting the game in game five, like we saw in the Philly series. That's what it came down to. We didn't want to have a somewhat diminished Chris sale twice because it would have been. It was regular rest, but he had the outing in between. And it just didn't make sense to us in the end. Yeah, as we sit here today, it's the best case scenario that we could possibly have. We win the bullpen game. That's the key right there. You guys and now we have a fresh Chris sale ready to go. And Clint and I talked about this the other day. When I said that obviously when you have Tarek Scoobal on the hill and the Atlanta Braves are starting a bullpen game. You absolutely have to win that game,

especially because it's game one. It's a momentum series game, but the same thing had to be said for game two Atlanta starting another bullpen game. Not to take anything away from the curve. He's been tremendous in the outings. He's had so far for this Atlanta postseason. But you have to think if you have back to back. Say Young Award winners bullpen game back to back. Say Young Award winner bullpen game at home. You better hope that you can take those two games before going on the road and hoping obviously for a win there at the very least. You know, if Atlanta gets game one, you still have another opportunity to get game three rather you have another opportunity to get game four. But here we are. Now they go back and I guess you can say. I guess you can say the momentum is in Atlanta's favor. Yeah, maybe. Yeah, it's this whole series. I feel like the Dodgers came in with the advantage because of the rotation. And now the series could be defined by starting pitching decisions and how both organizations look to match up their aces if you will. And there is so much at play now with with the first two games

for the Braves. They were taxed that bullpen was gased and they found a way to do it again and credit to the Atlanta relievers. What did your Fuentes did was incredible. And I don't really think that we can pinpoint or pick a part too much of how Dave Roberts managed his bullpen. I thought for the most part that relievers did their job. The bigger concern for me, especially knowing that you're going to go against a fully rested Chris sale and a fully rest tower Molly in game four is the offense. The Dodgers offense yesterday over eight with runners in scoring position. They left seven runners on base every single one they scored this year has come via the long ball, which is great because power plays in October. But you like to see them be a little bit more versatile with their offense. That starts with Shohei Otoni who has just not looked good. I guess we can start with you. What are your opinions your analysis on how Otoni looks at the plate? My analysis, not good. Yeah, I'm not seeing a whole lot. I like there. We got we got this video.

Hopefully MLB doesn't get mad at us. But this this was just an awful, awful swing and kind of indicative of what we're seeing out of Shohei a lot so far in the series. He's expanding the zone and Davis talked about it a lot over the last three years when Shohei is bad. He expands his own. He he he's trying to do too much, which is not the Dodgers way. It's stay within yourself. Try to do too much. Move the ball forward so on and so forth. Yeah, you need to see him find a way to lock in by either just just staring, you know, picking a quadrant and and you're only going to swing if a pitch is in. If anything's away, let it go. Just let it go right now. Find time or find some sort of good feeling on one side of the plate and then you could start to, you know, force him to bring it back in because I don't know if he should be taking some more some more walks in the series, but not liking what we're seeing out of Shohei and Dave saying yesterday as well. If you look at the at bats, it's a lot of chase.

It's hard to square up and put good swings on those balls that are out of the zone. So if we are circling, if we are flagging now two games into the post season, a big concern for the Dodgers. It's a guy who was a big concern for the Dodgers and second half of the season that is Shohei Otoni. No doubt about it. I don't think he's had an RBI since the middle of August right like August 19th or something like that. I don't think he's had a home run since August 18th. If we had a research department, somebody could check that for me, but we don't, but that's what I'm assuming at this point. It's been a long time since Shohei Otoni has been productive obviously offensively and you saw that swing that we just illustrated there with that video and he's just completely out in front. He's completely flailing. Clint, you had mentioned maybe take some more walks. I don't know that he has the plate discipline right now to take any walks. I just don't think Shohei Otoni is comfortable in his own skin at the box in his stance. He's chasing as Dave Roberts mentioned. Certainly Dave knows way more than I in terms of what Shohei Otoni is not doing correctly at the plate. He just completely seems lost.

And guys, make sure you read Katie's article in the athletic about how this is coming down to the rotation. It's now shaping up to be decided over starting pitching. You can check it out of course in the athletic and also on Yamamoto versus sale for game three. Check her out. We appreciate that very much as we move on here on Dr. Steritori trying to talk a little bit about Andy Pahez. Yesterday I said a little bit tongue in cheek. Clint, they should take away the ABS opportunities from him and Dave must have listened because they did. He was 0 for 7 in terms of his at bat so far in the series. 4K's one walk the walk was a good at bat. However, it is a good call that he is now banned from the automated ball and strike system. What say you? Who are we going to me or who? You. Well, yeah, I like that. That's the right call. Apparently he missed the fact that he still had the red light on from the regular season. Dave was not a happy camper when you saw that in game one,

but still I just had those numbers up. I'm going to go and throw them back on the screen. You have to wonder if you have the question whether or not the lights get too bright for Andy Pahez here in the month of October because outside of kind of one big game. As you see that 2024 and LCS game five where he had the three hits against the meds. I think they actually lost that game three hits two homers. I think it was a imp job against Sean Beniah who pissed them off. Since then it has not been good. It has not been pretty and end up writing L Ben show in games. As we said last night six and seven of the world series last night because it was so bad. I'm looking right now and Katie I'm interested in your thoughts. I'm looking right now. You got Chris sale on the bump tomorrow lefty should be an Andy Pahez situation in center field, but usually it's October kind of key October. I need to see Keke Hernandez in the line of some more whether it's a third base or whether it's in center field. I think we see where is Keke Ben. I think it's all about it's been about the matchups and I I see

Andy Pahez with all the respect to a Keke is done for the Dodgers. If you just take the overall body of work the much more productive player for the Dodgers the season, but there seems to be in the post season a different kind of approach and not in a good way for Andy Pahez at the plate. We talked to Dave Roberts about it yesterday and asked if there was any kind of concern over Andy's performance is based on the quality of the bats that we've seen in October and Dave said you know what a little so when you think about Chris sale coming in you know Max Muncie's probably not going to get the start you know you could see Maggie row back at third you could say see Keke back at third I'd like the veterans coming in game three feels like a must win game and I know every game in the playoffs is a must win game but you cannot go down to one in Atlanta. And lose a game that Yamamoto starts regardless of who the Braves are throwing so I can see Dave Roberts switching things up and this is a patient manager he trusts his players but this is not the time to see if guys are going to figure it out in two games Andy Pahez has not really shown the plate discipline

that has led to his success it looks like he's kind of pressing outside of the zone. I wonder if you can see Muncie off the bench along with Houseway Zipala and see maybe not maybe both in Mickey row and Keke Hernandez starting maybe you see the game six lineup where they push Tommy to set her you put Keke at second Mickey row at third just try to stack your experience varieties as much as possible against one of the best lefty pictures in the game something to consider because show he's going to stay in there Dave Roberts said. So there needs to be a different kind of switch up with the player other player pressing the most in my opinion is Andy. Yeah and I said that last night a few different times for the people's calling for De Paula over Otoni it's not going to happen the Dodgers are going to win and lose with show he Otoni in the lineup that's just how it goes I don't care if he's over his last seven hundred he's going to be in the lineup because it's show he flipping Otoni. Andy Pahez you can kind of experiment a little bit you can see what you can do lineup wise. You know obviously I've mentioned before Cal she is a part of

the run with us here here for the three Pete and I looked at one of the player props just a little bit of something different here to see how people are feeling about Paez you know just to do anything you see on the screen hits runs RBI just one one or more do anything right now that's trading something do something it's trading it only 62% or whatever it is firmly I mean honestly for me I'm taking the no on that one by the way if you take the know at that price five dollars will get you eleven dollars and ninety two cents if you're right but yeah I just I just don't see I don't see Andy Pahez right now doing anything well outside of that again that walk and all that kind of stuff I don't see him doing a lot well and I think you need to find a way to get Kike in there quick shout more from our about our friends at Cal she if you guys are interested in trying it out you could scan that QR code download the app and use code baseball to get fifty five dollars added to your account instantly there's also a link in the description it is a

peer-to-peer trading app it is not a sports book you're trading directly against other users not the house so public opinion sets in line price moves based on where money goes but you guys don't want to hear about that you want to hear that the Dodgers are going to win a baseball game tomorrow I hope to be listen there as a baseball fan I wish I didn't have a rooting interest in the game tomorrow because and we're going to talk more about it a little bit but it's going to be fun to have y'all a moto Chris sale on the bump you look at other odds and lines and things I mean this is a straight-up pick him game right now nobody knows who's going to win and I think that's fun we we can see a one nothing shut out to one game I'm I'm not looking forward to the I would I would I think it is because of who's on the hill but I would love to see the offense get going I really would love to see you know not necessarily a laffer but you know puts them at bats together move the line you know like this is it's just so lackluster and again I know it's not for a lack of trying but I mean it's just it does not

bowed well moving forward but I have to say it's not just the Dodgers by the way that are not hitting I believe it was all didn't Zalas who has you know covered the Dodgers for a very long time and also obviously is now with ESPN as their their main baseball reporter but it's not just the Dodgers eight teams have played 12 LDS games so nationally division series games thus far they're combined slash line 174 277 295 so you know again not that you care about the other team we care about the Dodgers but it's not just L.A. that is really struggling as far as as far as that is concerned all right much more to come here on Dodgers territory on this Monday episode as we get ready for game three tomorrow between the Dodgers and the Braves how we get into bleeding blue

right here Jay Z 30 is going down in Los Angeles we're talking tonight's at so far stadium October 23rd and 24th get your tickets right now to experience it that's right Jay Z 30 live nation dot com grab your tickets the WNBA playoffs are here and while the games will be spread across seven different channels and streaming services you only need one podcast to keep up to date on all the action good game in the West Coast. pregles for getty sauce is in there you know it commercial like it's in there you name is in there want to know what's really going on in the WNBA we got you listen to good game with Sarah Spane on the I heart radio app apple podcast or wherever you get your podcasts. The WNBA playoffs are about to begin the talent is insane and the personalities are giving main character energy and of course the fans love it. But 30 years ago when the league first started it was a different story. I remember sitting with a couple of male writers all whining about what are they going to do if they break a nail and that one's going to show up but from the very beginning there were two teams that captured everyone's attention. The comments were the real deal I mean come on delivered and never gave up they never stopped fighting. I knew that rivalry was going to be amazing from the beginning. I'm Carrie champion and this is biggest rivalries of all time season two the New York Liberty versus the Houston comments the very first rivalry of the WNBA.

They picked us to finish last and they picked them to finish first that's all you need to know. I remember looking around thinking this is going to change things basketball was going to have this fundamental impact on the way people viewed women athletes. Listen to biggest rivalries of all time on the I heart radio app Apple podcast or wherever you get your podcast. Is there bad blood between you in the comments as you guys meet again in the championship? Oh we're coming back to win. All right guys so get those questions in the chat we want to hear from you we'd love to hear what it's on your mind. You know scream yell cry we're here for it we can be your three therapists on this Monday afternoon. Let's start with the crowd situation first so I remember you know everyone saying you know L.A. always has terrible fans blah blah blah they show up late they leave early yada

yada yada it was 150 billion degrees on Saturday so I kind of give them a pass I was a little bit more concerned with the crowd yesterday because it was what a five p.m. start in L.A. guys so it just it just fell off the vibes. Yeah the vibe was just dead right I mean Katie you were there what was it like? Yeah game one even though it was quite literally 150 billion degrees I loved the vibe from game one great anthem great flyover bleachers looked a little empty on TV but they were allowed they even did a roll call for Dodgers players I've never seen that a Dodgers stadium before it was active in the bleachers I was kind of jealous I wanted to be double fisting there to be honest but some of us have to professionals at work I get it and then I don't know what happened game two even though it was a later start time and there are more shadows I actually thought it was much hotter game two than game one but I don't know if it was the way Blake Snell came out in the first inning 27 pitches a couple of walks but the way that he started the game just kind of took

the air out of the stadium and it never came back but I thought that was weird because yeah they trailed the majority of the game but it wasn't a blowout it was a really exciting matchup in terms of the pitching you had different pitchers coming in and I know bullpen games kind of drag this one to me didn't because the matchups were so compelling and the Dodgers were in it every step of the way but it was really hard for this crowd to bounce back after Snell's kind of you know clunker of an outing and then the offense going silent from the fifth inning up until the final strike in the ninth against Didier Fuentes and company really didn't help at all so vibes for game two not at all really what I expected and I don't really want the series for the sake of our our loyal subscribers to go five because I think the sanity there would be and you've lacked thereof would be insane but I was surprised and not in a good way about the overall vibes of the atmosphere in game two I get the way that the game started was not ideal but overall it was a

great baseball game just not one that had I guess because the Dodgers were trailing and there didn't seem to be a lot of action was hard for fans to get back into it but it was still the postseason is still down by one two runs max and it didn't really feel that way the vibes felt like they were down by ten. Yeah especially after you know third inning you get runners on you can't convert fourth inning same thing fifth inning same thing by that point yeah you you could almost hear a pin drop in there and a lot of you know in the past I've taken some shit for it I've given crap to the fans deservedly so because you know I'm not going to say PCA's right at even slightly or but you know we're fans in L.A. show up to take their selfies or whatever but when things don't go well and things don't go the way early that fans might want it takes something to get the blood flowing again for them you know to get the excitement kind of percolating especially in an early I don't want to say meaningless division series game for the Dodgers but

it's not it's it's 14 years in a row 14 years in a row because I can think back to that house was a 2008 postseason Dodgers cardinals it was the walkoff where a markle redder hit a flyball off of Matt Holidays ball sack in left field this you guys can quote me on this one and that was the place was rumbling it was shaking now granted they had a lot going on in that ninth inning but flash forward a billion years later it's just now all the post seasons vision series much like the regular season it's a lot of whole home and and I don't know how you get the fans to stay involved outside of you know scoring a show hey don't want to fed generations if you have to tell your fans to stay engaged and motivated that's how many times he's getting times if you heard Katie who or Ken Jung or whoever else makes

them know I said I hate that I hate it but I mean every single that was my Chris Tucker by the way the times the amount of times that had to your Dodgers fans we can hear you I'm like you know what I can hear you you know I can hear the thousand decibel level of things coming out of the dr. stadium speakers so I don't know I've been a dr. stadium twice where I was like completely taken it back by how loud it got obviously one was game four of the NLCS last year of show hey doing show hey things and then the 2021 walkoff Chris Taylor and the wild card game against the Cardinals that was the loudest I've ever heard dr. stadium a grand I haven't been there you know thousands of times but I've been there a good amount and I was surprised to see just what game to felt like when I think you make a good point they doctor fans expect to be in the post season they expect to be in the DS and they expect to continue to go pass so when you have a clunk of a start for your starting picture and you see an offense that that's not you know producing quality at bats and it's really hard to get back into it and you definitely felt yesterday

one of the things to it might be is maybe they are taking it for granted another thing is maybe it's an economic thing I don't know I mean it's it's it's expensive man life is expensive right now and gas is expensive and parking is expensive and tickets are expensive although I think the doctors credit they did have very afford affordable depending upon what is affordable you know they didn't want affordable seats affordable seats available on I can care and fucking to you they did not want to have affordable seats available for that game yeah I mean if it's sixty five dollars to park for the nationally division series they're expecting three hundred dollars for a ticket yeah it's more than parking I can't I get it I get it there is a they have a hundred twenty five dollar hamburger for some reason but yeah that's insane by the way I was like does it is it like wagyu beef and is it is the bun gold like should we like that should we get that for the show maybe a mark they show remotely the at Dodger stadium

they should bring that to us but yeah I don't know maybe it's an economic thing I mean it's difficult it's a difficult time but again that the fans in the stadium you're already there you've already paid it so like let's get let's get a little bit more engaged have a few have you know if you get afford all that you can afford two more tall cans it just bring you to you know a better levels of being okay with public embarrassment that's what this team needs we can get there sober we don't need tall cans we're there God bless us all we did say at the start of this segment before we kind of took over made it about us I mean I guess it is our show and if you guys like it hit that thumbs up button subscribe all that kind of stuff but that's the end of the chat V track he's in line with us much earlier there in line with us much earlier saying bench Pahez consider benching Edmund both have great defense neither are hitting but nobody is nobody is yeah okay the Edmunds that's the that's where you're going to see Josef it's a Paula and I would

have liked to see him in the seventh I think if the Dodgers got a runner on in game two we would have seen Josef take that at Batpertami it was welcome the postseason Josef the Paula here you are down you need to score you did you get on base two outs and then I go get them but I honestly thought the you know the level of success the percentage of success in that role was some to none and you can't really evaluate a kid on one at bat in the postseason but I would have really like to see him take the at bat in the seventh especially if a runner was on and I think we would have seen that but Tommy Edmund and I wonder if that played into Dave Roberts decision to hunt in the third I'm not a fan of doing that when you row is at second base you know he's a lot of things fast is not one of them but Dave Roberts doesn't usually at least in the regular season we've talked about this he's not a small ball manager of rarely does he hit and run he'll sometimes do a sack fun I was curious about the timing there I think that reflected more on how Edmunds feeling at the plate and if you're going to get going to get late into a scoring opportunity why not have Josef the Paula take that at bat over Tommy Edmund because then you can deploy what the Dodgers do

well with their depth you can have Keke take over at second I think Dave Roberts is comfortable using De Paula and making it a three player switch you know where it's something where okay we're going to burn De Paula and then we're going to put someone else and off the bench I think he's comfortable doing that Tommy Edmund is the spot for me we'll see if that spot comes up again it's going to be a little bit of a different bench component if depending on what happens with Andy and with Max Muncie coming off the bench as well but to me Tommy Edmund is is where you can see I think the easiest path for JDP yeah all right next comment is from Ismail Sanchez 34.03 thank you so much Ismail for the Super Chat five bucks we appreciate you if anybody finds the Dodgers offense please tell them to report to 755 battery avenues southeast Atlanta Georgia 30339 I have to say yes number one absolutely send them straight there also the fact that Atlanta that true is park is at 755 is the coolest thing ever Hank Aaron's

I think that's so sick I love that that's just those little details that's something that obviously it's just a cool thing you know you know the history of your organization and those types of things Janemary Smith would do something very similar than you know like that I understand you know Sanchez you know renaming Vince Goliath a new couple decade ago I still think that should have been Vince Goli way though instead of Vince Goli avenue yeah it's like Vince Goli's way you know anyway what is the man's it's semantics semantics all right what else we got here in the chat we appreciate Richard Flores I am out of super chat money but here's my take Padres and Brewers are very beatable the doctors make the birds themselves I don't yeah the brewers look pretty good it's that simple yeah I mean I mean Clint said it before if anyone is going to beat the Dodgers it's going to be the Dodgers themselves so yeah I mean that's that's very true very true that brewers game whoo that I tuned in at the perfect time I tuned in bottom of the ninth what and it bat hey do we think

do we think uh me some others tipping yeah it looks like did you see self really like kind of like go to his like go to his neck you know obviously he was uh I would be way more blatant about it at second base I would be like he was also somebody who was also saying too that they need to the game in the sign stealing has evolved in such a way that the gloves need to start evolving too talk to him there's a story for you Katie talk to Maggie or talk to Moody Betts about his new glove company and see if they're like changing the design of the glove to cover the frickin baseball better when a guy's on second and relaying signs talk to them we're gonna their model after Rocky yeah we're gonna be press or something yeah when you know what I thought was was funny we're watching game for watching the NLDS game between the Pudges and the Brewers box Dodgers game hasn't started yet so relax and you heard everyone locked in on every at bat and the collective like oh my gosh I came from the press box when Cheerio went Cheerio came for room and it makes me think

like how much do Dodgers fans relish and how the Padres have lost these two games at Gov. Whether it's clanging a maybe home one ball off the roof for an out or for whatever reason Mason Miller who has not been asked to do a six out saves since he was an athletic coming in and and not you know ball turn in the ninth I don't know I think Dodgers fans might be celebrating more than Padres fans are crying and Padres fans seem to be crying a lot over the last two games justifiably so if I was a fan of a baseball team and my team lost two games in the playoffs like that back to back I would not be in a good place no that's a painful one losing with you and Dodgers and quad race fans and there's an absolute best friend so that's to absolutely know speaking of the way and but hey those by Joyce Miley face and another five dollar super chat from Nancy we appreciate Nancy Dodgers need to get pissed off hopefully yesterday did it angry when is that we need a little bit of an

angry one Atlanta was pretty quiet in that clubhouse when I walked in and usually even after losses I obviously they were in the regular season there's still like a little bit of like hey we will get after we're going to be fine but it seemed like they were angry they did not take advantage of an opportunity not an panic way just to like all right now we put ourselves a little bit of a hole we got to get out of it yeah our final chat is going to be from Latino slant in the super chant variety and it's going to be positive gonna be positive so close to Tino we love Kelly back to be when I'm like I have a bad take that wasn't Katie that was Kelly yeah we love listen Lisa got the two ends over Lana so if I had my my soundboard going I would definitely mash that that applause button but yeah you know we've talked around a lot of tomorrow's game a whole bunch let's talk about it for real here with on deck presented by Fox one is take it away yeah I mean we talked about it right Chris Hill we went over what Walt Wise had to say about the reason that

they're starting him in game three makes sense they don't want a depleted guy in two times so you're gonna get the best that you can get from Chris Hill in game three I think it's a great matchup I love it you know I agree with Katie I think this is a must-win game because you don't want an opportunity for Atlanta to finish it at home I mean you're glad I guess if you force a game five that you have home field advantage and you come back to Los Angeles but I don't even want it to get to that point yeah yeah did you see so Walt Wise today spoke to media Katie and he was asked the question about is there do you think about kind of flipping the order and saving sale for game four and his response was we've all had these questions but yeah we're not done talking as we sit here we're looking at sale for game three what they consider that because I mean you you win a bullpen game in L.A. it feels like you're playing a little bit with house money here would they have two games at home they honestly

consider pushing Chris sale back one more game no I don't think so especially with Molly right behind him who did was not good as a giant but who was this year he's been the best pitcher since of those traded at the deadline including school since coming to Atlanta so if you have both of those guys rested I think it's a pretty even matchup when you have sale Yamamoto and then glass now Molly so no I don't think that I'm looking at the transcripts right now before I head to the ballpark and we love it I love A P.T.X. time of year baby I love it and it's the best playing oh it's right here well I don't I think we'll see sale and they're all planning for that as well it should be sale again this is the defining game for me in the series right now because once you go up to one in the DS especially through the home team it becomes a lot easier to wrap it up the Dodgers they love drama in the division series it's a tradition unlike any other let's just keep it going and hopefully you guys have a much more positive show tomorrow. With that with that whole idea in mind again Chris sale is advanced in his age for a

professional athlete and if they're if they're still concerned like if there was a possibility that if he felt right he would have pitched yesterday but clearly he woke up and told Walt Weiss like yeah now and that ain't it bro this is me paraphrasing and they're saying he's still maybe not a hundred percent tomorrow. I don't know like do you do you think there's any sort of validity to him is this a little bit of gamesmanship I guess from Walt Weiss. Yes it is gamesmanship they don't have to say it until tomorrow at the last minute if I mean if you want to be no courteous today Roberts and let him set his line up you do it earlier than later but he doesn't have to as long as he's within the major league baseball roles then he's fine I think a lot of it too is maybe they wanted to pitch at home I mean he's 21 and 5 2 2 4 E.R.A. and 40 appearances 38 8 and it's not until we do it as far as the Braves of 132 of the 40 Games so maybe that's part of the reason too you know there's a lot of different things that go into it

more than just you know like rest and those types of things you know there is gamesmanship behind closed doors so listen it doesn't matter who they throw doctors got to start getting some hits they're hit listen nine at bats with runners in scoring position all seven of the runs in the series have come on five homers that's a good thing to do. So, it's going to be great. It's going to be great. Guys, if you guys want to watch that game, it is going to be on FS1 tomorrow. And it will be on Fox's streaming on Fox1, post season is here. Jay-Z gave us reasonable doubt. Now think about that 30 years. And look at everything that came after. We're talking about the music, the influence, the way he helped shift the culture. 25 Grammys, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and records we still live with today. And when it comes to Jay-Z, I'm a fan first. So to see Jay-Z celebrate 30 years like this, oh yeah, that's special. I flew to New York to see Jay-Z 30 in New York. Now Los Angeles, we get a chance to see it right here. Jay-Z 30 is going down in Los Angeles. We're talking tonight's at SoFi Stadium. October 23rd and 24th. Get your tickets right now to experience it. That's right. Jay-Z 30 live nation.com. Grab your tickets. All right, guys, I don't understand how

Nacho is still available, but he is. He is. Look at this big headed boy. It is a, by the way, October is a pit bull awareness month. He is the sweetest little pity mix. His skin is like butter. He's so soft. He's such a good boy. He's healthy. He's happy. He's neutered. He's great with other dogs. He's great with kids. He's great with everybody. He's being fostered in La Puente. So Clint's hometown, or at least where he lives now. And he's looking for a forever family. Like I said, he's just a big, like big, head-in wonderful little boy. So anyway, adopt him. Please. Just like, hit up Gidry's Guardian, hit me up on social or whatever, and I can get you more information on Nacho. His mom was already adopted about a month and change ago. So it's his turn. Yeah. Get Nacho and his big old beeping. Big old blockhead. All right, we got a few more super chats here from friends here in the chat. We got Caesar, Cesar, 999.

We got a proper misspelling, but it was also a nice. That's the best missellin I've seen. Yeah, yeah. Alana, the best analyst, we miss you. And I miss you guys. Thank you. Follows up with 499. We appreciate the support here on the show. Alana, go Dodgers. Got feeling. Do we still win this series? Thousand percent. Thousand percent. Yeah. We also got a course correction from Latino slant, $999 super chat. With still misspelling, but it's all good. Kite, kite. Kite. We. Kite. Kite. We're not. We're not. We need the levity right now. So we're not making fun of you. We just appreciate this. We're laughing with you, not at you. And. And. And the final one from Juan Basqual. Two dollars. Says Kike. He's in the dugout playing Boquique. Ma'am. Boquique. Boquique. Boquique. Ma'am. Is that how he says it? No. No. No. He just. He's going to start.

I'm just totally going on five that he's going to start. I have no idea. We'll go talk to Dave in about 30 minutes or so. So I'll be sure to bother him with that. But my vibe right now is we'll see a gigay start. Yeah. I hope so. Kike needs to be in every single October lineup. Everyone. That's the problem. I don't care. I don't care who you're swacing. That's the problem with how good this team is. Like when we were talking two weeks ago about how do you get playoff at bats for host Wade de Paula. How do you get at bats for Kike hernand? Kike hernand is usually there is a clear path. There is a Michael can port a conformal path to him getting playing time. This year it was less obvious. Well, Latino slant has just spent his mortgage on trying to get Katie's name right? The super chat from him. Katie. I got it right. Let's go. Love it. You know what? That's worth that is worth firing up the the the soundboard here. There it is. Little baby man. In there. Um, guys, we oh god. What did I break? I think I broke everything. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to hit the music here. Uh, uh, uh, Riz, why don't you hit him with the proper sign off? Let him know what we're going to be doing.
