Hey, it's Kelly Ripa and if you don't know, I have a podcast where I get to say whatever I want. Hold on, let me get a shovel in a body bag. I envision doing a podcast with the conversations that happen in my dressing room off camera where people feel free to talk. No hair, no makeup, this is my kind of job. Only Kelly Ripa can ask me this question. I'm flipping the script and saying what's really on my mind. We're seeing a different side of you. It's a little bit more honest. When the cameras go off, the real fun begins. Get my hair done over here. Hey, this is an off camera podcast. So, we did it. It doesn't even matter. It's unfiltered conversations and unexpected confessions. My mom, it says, Woody, I knew you're dead. Stop the press. I'm like, I would like to volunteer to administer any and all DNA tests. Maybe that should be part of the show? Let's talk off camera with me, Kelly Ripa. Ah! You just put that in like you number. Listen and follow wherever you get your podcasts.

This is Philly's Talk, presented by Team Toyota. I am Spencer Kertcher, digital video producer here at NBC Sports Philadelphia. Once again, joined by Michael Ho, Sean Kane, the producer of Philly's pre and post-game live, Sean Kane, the season last one more day. On to October, Spence. On to October. Anything to talk about from that game too? Not a whole lot going on in that game. Yeah, not a lot. Not much. Especially coming after yesterday on Tuesday and... Man, what a game. That's an all-time post-season game that came too. The ups and downs, the moments. It's a different guy stepping up. That's up there with the best games of this era in terms of the post-season. And I think you and I can admit, when Bryce Harper doesn't come up with that ball in the seventh inning, yeah, there was talks in the office of that's the 2026 Orion Kertcher. Yeah. That's the play that's going to define this season where Bryce takes one step in. The ball just keeps traveling. 89 miles per hour off the bat.

If he can't come up with it, the Braves take a two-one lead. They add another one with a sack fly to make a three-one. Yep. And what do him and Kyle Schwober do in the top of the eighth? They save the season, Sean Kane. And we are playing in a decisive game three, backs against the wall, once again. Man. For the third time, well, yeah, third time in four games, the Phillies are facing elimination, going back to game 162. Just a remarkable win all around the game too. Remarkable win had it all. And that's the great thing about baseball and sports in general is, you know, it gives you the opportunity to redeem yourself. Bryce could have went into a funk there and been like, oh, man, I just blew it with that play. We're losing three-one. We're down to six outs left. Game over, season over. Would have been rough. It would have been rough for Bryce. I've been a long off season for Bryce because, yeah, you're right. Like you're thinking it's one-one. I don't feel great about this. You know, what's going to happen? Is there going to be another curkery moment? And then sure enough, bottom of the seventh, we get what we thought might have been the curkery moment.

But as you alluded to, here they come in the top of the eighth. Schwarber Harper, boom, boom, just like that. It's three-three. We got a brand new ball game. The Harper misplay is cast aside. And that wasn't going to be what decided this game. And then sure enough, here comes Andrew Painter. Can't talk enough about him. My gosh. Coralist innings for Andrew out of the pen. First ever postseason game. First ever like true reliever experience. You know, you had the opener a couple of times. But that's like, you know, coming out high leverages, it gets. And doing the job. And then Alec Bome, of course, caps it off with the big hits. So like, choose your hero. There were plenty of them. Chris Sanchez was great too. Schwarber Harper, boom, Painter. I mean, just all around what a game. Extend their season game three. It comes down to one game tomorrow. I guess Thursday, if you're listening to this in the morning, Thursday, we'll find out what time they play. We don't know what time. Could be two. Could be eight. But they got another chance to extend their season and go to LA in the NLDS. What a performance from this team.

And like you said, three-one. It's just like, yep, here it comes. Seasons over. And coming into today, I was driving down 95 where we get off the exit here. And I was like, man, this could be the last game of the season. Yep. And when it was three-one in the seventh inning, it felt like that. Yep. But Schwarber Harper, Kyle Schwarber, come through and just two monstrous home runs. The Scott Francis call on 94WIP reservation for two of the chop-house. This is an unbelievable call for a fransky. And it really saves the season. And then like you said, I mean, we can't speak enough. Let's just start there. OK. A another Herculean performance from Christopher Sanchez. Michael Barkan, after the game on post-game live, said, you know, he's going to be traveling back from Atlanta. His left arm is going to be probably in the luggage. Through a lot of pitches. It was unbelievable. And he just got out of every jam possible. The sixth inning where, OK, here they come. Here we knew maybe the blowup inning was coming from Sanci. But no, he runs a 3-2-3 double play to get out of it

with Michael Harris and the basses loaded. Great play, but Harris, how will play from Bummer? How will play from JT to keep his foot on home play? It was kind of questionable there. Like real time, it looked like he might have pulled it. But regardless, Sanci was just phenomenal. Yeah. And he continues to just have these monstrous post-season starts. It's his fifth career start. And it looked like at the time it was going to be back-to-back playoff starts for Sanci, where the offense didn't give him anything. And he was fantastic, but sure enough, the offense comes through. But he was great. He was great. He was great on regular rest. We knew he had him coming here. How are we going to get through game one? We know Sanci is going to go in game two. And he was great. And he did the job. We gave up the one run in the first inning, but really bare down after that escaped trouble in the sixth. He just battled. It's a good braze line up at their place. And he pitched like the competitor that he is. He should have been out of that with just one earned run in seven innings, basically. His line's going to look a lot different because that Harper Ball was not an error, which. Boom actually had a play earlier in the seventh that he should have just gotten the out at first base

on that punt by Kim. He tries to get Murphy, the lead runner at second. That goes down as a fielders choice, but that should have been one out there. Then Bryce obviously makes that play, and it's a whole different inning and then old Scorney runs. But yeah, no, again, his line is deceiving. He was great. He was really good, really gutsy. Through a lot of pitches, I love that Madden Lee came out there in a seventh just to talk to him. That was going to be his inning there. So yeah, you can't say enough about him and then the two rookies come out of the bullpen. Farlin gets a huge out in relief of Sanchez and then painter of three Scoreless. Just so many storylines and so many narratives. And I just mentioned Boom and Harper, we're going to be the goats of that bottom of the seventh. Boom makes the wrong decision on the punt. Yep, Harper, of course, we discussed earlier the misplay and then sure enough, they come back with two huge hits. Harper ties it up after Shorba to make it three-three and then Boom makes it four-three. So just a crazy game baseball, especially this time of year and guys redeeming themselves, guys hanging in there. Guys, I thought it was really good stuff to say afterwards, like Harper and Boom together at the press conference

was great stuff. Bryce talked about Proud, he was a valic. Everything he went through this year. Nobody should have to go through that, alluding to what he went through in his personal life. And here they are. They're resilient, man. They got another crack at it tomorrow. But just again, I can't say enough about this game. I'm still kind of processing. Same. We just did the post game show. I'm here thinking of everything that went on. It's just crazy. It's a lot going on. I'm not going on in this game too when, as the Phillies do, survived the season for one more day. Yes, sir. But yeah, even just going back to Sanctuary real quick, Bryce obviously, you mentioned it, his answers after the game sitting at the podium, talking about, you know, he's squatting down in right field, looking in. And he said, like he was asking, oh, like, were you in your feelings? Not in his feelings, but you know what I mean. He's like, actually, it was the pitching change. I kind of always do that during a pitching change. Yeah. And then someone asked him, like, hey, like, what were you thinking about at the time, though? And he mentioned his son, crew. He's like, the very first thing I thought of was crew. And what in my response to him would be in a situation like this.

And then he mentioned how, when he was 10 years old, the pressure was always there for him to win. And this is more of a learning experience where whatever happens, mistake happens. Next play. It's the next place. The next thing that you do, and sure enough, he comes through the game time, he's like, my shirt's home run. It was just a great thing to see. But I thought it was cool, Sanchez, then admitted after the game that he talked to Harp before the Homer, after the, the miscue, and said, hey, you're bound to have a moment. It's still going to happen. Sure enough, happening later. He has his moment. But that wraps up Sanchez. He was just fantastic. 6 and 2, 3, 6 hits, 3 runs, 5 walks, 6 Ks. Like you said, and two of those walks were intense. Two of those were intentional walks, too. Two of those runs shouldn't have scored. Should have been 7 innings 1, or 2. Correct. Which, that's what we wanted. That's what we wanted. Even keeping the hits under, I said, 5, he ends up with 6. I just thought he was fantastic. 116 pitches, 77 strikes. It was another Herculane effort from Christopher Sanchez. We'll see what happens in game three. We'll get into that because who knows what the fillers will end up doing, and another must win.

But it's funny. We talked about the offense last night. Wasn't great. Then you look at the lineup, or the box scored today. And every single player, besides a pinch hitter, Derek Hill, had a hit. Finish with 12 hits, struck out nine times, only one walk once again. But every single person in this starting lineup had a hit. Harper had two, boom had two. Everybody else had one. Just a phenomenal effort from this offense against Tyler Malley, who I was hoping they were going to ambush in the first. They kind of did. They got Bryce, obviously, doesn't score from third. Trey, with a lead off double to get things going. He scores the first one of the game. But all in all, the offense did enough in my opinion, especially late and early in the game against Malley. Yeah, they did. They come out in the first inning. They get your tray, big lead off double. Shrubber gets them over. Harper gets them in. I'm hopeful. Thought they should have gotten at least one more run in that inning. Harper gets out in the run down between third and home. Then they go in a little funk a little bit. A lot of ground balls off of Malley. But they responded.

And they responded. Took them a little while. Got to the eighth. And it's going to be tough to score runs. You can't expect them to go score nine or 10 runs in a postseason game. They're fighting the qual. And just what an effort. What he talked about. And that's great. Everybody chips in. Harper, two big hits, two big RBIs for him. Shrubber had the third RBI in regulation. And then Boomer with the fourth RBI. But yeah, it's just so many guys contributing. So many guys doing the job. And I just a follow up on what you would just mention about Bryce and what was going through his mind. And talking to his son about Little League. And that's, you know, when you have kids, especially when they start playing sports, like things are going to go wrong. And all that matters is next play. If you're pitching and you'll walk a guy, next batter. We do. We all tell our kids that. And it's true. And that's great that Bryce thought. Like, all right, I'm in that spot now. I just made the, I can be the goat here. Can I talk about it? What should I do? Should I just put my head down and pal? No, you get a chance to redeem yourself. That's life. That's not just sports. That's life. Things don't go your way. Get up, rush yourself off and try again. And that's what Bryce did. So it's just such a great parallel to sports and the beauty

of sports and life and just bouncing back in that resiliency. And obviously, usually don't see a superstar like Bryce Harper have to go through. It's more of like a learning thing for younger players, but it was great to see Bryce. And it didn't even say that's kind of what he was thinking at that point. Really well said there by your canter. That was really well said. Yeah, a lot of, it's a mimic of life, too. And for him to come through once life knocks you down because I will say I was nervous when he makes that mistake. And the base running mistake in my opinion should have been two nothing in the first inning. The very first thought I had in my mind was like, is that the last time we see Bryce Harper in a Phillies uniform? Which is a crazy thought. But like, it would have been tough. And I do think, I don't think truthfully. I don't think you ever request a trade out of here unless things go really south. But that was my thought of like, man, what if that was it? Who knows? But sure enough, he comes through because that's what big time players and big time moments to do in Bryce Harper has had plenty of those in his 10-year

not only in Philadelphia, but Washington as well. Go into the Braves lineup. You know who doesn't have a hit in the series yet, Sean Kin? The guy that was leading off today. Yeah, I know. We're tempting fate talking about him tomorrow. It's sure. Tomorrow. No, I'm just, you know. He looked disinterested today. He sure did. Which he's looked disinterested before in big playoff games against the Phillies. Correct. And I only say that because there's, again, we look at these comments on YouTube, at least I do. There's comments that were like, go, I keep getting called to Kidna Hat. My name is Spencer. Kidna Hat, dude in the hat. And they were like, yeah, I just wanted to watch this to see if his stupid comments on Acunyan, this bullpen. One, your bullpen stinks, Atlanta. And I don't even look good today. Don't lead in look good today. Neither did Fwent as in my opinion. No, he gave up on the, yeah. Like, he didn't look great yesterday. That was coming into the series. And everyone's like, oh, their bullpen's better than Phillies. Like, I want a bullpen, Atlanta. No, it's not. It's not good. And again, the series, I shouldn't be talking this much yet. Tomorrow we can talk like this. But I'm just saying, your lead off hitter, number 13,

is Ofer again. He did score a run. He's doing a little high steps coming down home plate. They walked in the first sitting, stole a couple bags. So he had two walks, two strikeouts in the game. But long story short, I texted all my friends at one point. And I was just ready for the ninth inning. It was the eighth inning, the ninth inning, and the tenth inning, I'm like, I'm just ready to be hurt right now. Yeah. Not on Andrew Payne or Swatch. That goes back to freaking Andrew Payne or who was electric. And I know you hit on him here in the first few minutes of the podcast, but you can't say enough about what Andrew Payne or did. And in my opinion, I know like Bryce talked about it, and he even talked about it after the game. And I know post game life talked about it. But like, that could be a career defining moment for Andrew Payne or he admitted after the game that the nerves were there. He was trying to throw the ball way too hard. But then Bryce mentioned after the game that he saw him kind of take a step off, get a new ball, chuck the old one out. And he was like, that's him slowing down the game. And that was such a veteran move from Andrew Payne or something that we have not seen from him all season.

He was so good. And I'm excited to see what the rest of the post season, hopefully after tomorrow. And I'm excited to see what his role could be, the rest of this post season, and going forward in his career. Yeah, I mean, you're a rookie in a winter go home game at Atlanta on that mound, no margin for error. And you get through that. And you deal with that situation. And you come through the other side, all of a sudden, whatever he faces down the road, June start against the Marlins, where you get in a little bit of trouble, doesn't look so daunting. You know what I mean? If you can get through that, everything else is going to get a little easier. And you're right. That eighth inning did not start well. But it's the big double play. Again, started by BOM, 363. Couple of you use double plays that BOM started. It's shorted. The 3, 2, 3 on Harris and the sixth inning was crazy. And then get the pop up to BOM. So you just, you're out of that inning. And then ninth was smooth. Salon, tenth was a little rocky, but bear down. Get in there. Three scoreless innings out of the pen. And he was asked, all right, tomorrow game three, you can be available. And he said, if I don't say I'm available, hey, Zeus is not going to be happy. Hey, Zeus would say you're 23 years old.

You're available every day. So who knows? Maybe that'll be painter's role. Maybe painter takes that role where you see him out of the bull pen for three or four innings if they don't need him to be a starter, two, three innings, whatever you need from him. But now he was great. He just came through. And this is a think beginning of the year where he was. And he goes down to the minors for like a month and a half. Comes back up. And now here he is. Again, it's unbelievable. That's what life gives you. That's what sports gives you. Knocks you down. Get back up. Alec Bome. The stuff he's out with off the field. Alec Bome was hit in 140 in like mid-May. Yep. Sure was. Capdad. 127 at one point. Yeah, he was their best hitter down the stretch of the regular season in what a moment today. And the defensive plays. I did mention the one play where probably I should have went to first on the bun. But two huge double plays he started. He played a reaping. A couple of nice plays. Pick in the ball at first base. He's been really good. And then he moves to third later in the game. When social leaves the game. So just can't say enough about the resiliency. Just saw so many examples of it in that game too. Yep. Bome and Andrew Panner. What they've both been going through all the season long. And off the field for Alec. And obviously Andrew with his struggles early in the season

for them to both come through in a huge spot season on the line. Only speaks volumes to their character and their momentum, hopefully leading into a decisive game three on Thursday. With Bomer too. It's so funny. It was the same thing with Riley, but different. Like when it's off the bat. I'm like, oh man. Yeah, Viscursion didn't give it much of a call. And that's like, I was watching Nacunio. I was like, is he just kind of like deculinous here? Yeah, correct. And this is coming off Viscursion. Right. In the ninth. Oh, the Abbey's the most routine five live. I was like, yeah. What? When I looked back up. I thought that was an out. I like went down the right F nine down in the control room getting ready for post game. That's what freaking out. How's he doing? But yeah, I didn't expect it to go. As far as it did, and sure enough, just like Riley's last night. On Tuesday, Alec Bome somehow gets a potted over the field or a go to the Fenson right field and feels what on for it when what? Hit a Homer Bomer. Hit a Homer Bomer.

Give that all the ride. Hit a Homer Bomer. Score that RBI and I don't know Michael B. That's right, baby. That's right. What it's now as far as you've been struggling, Bomer. No one can deny. But if you hit a Homer Bomer, you keep our playoff hopes alive. I mean, how true is that? Literally. Michael B was in the lab right in that song months ago. And like, here we are. It comes to fruition. He kept our whole playoff hopes alive. Sure he did, dude. Unbelievable. It is incredible. If you remember that pod from what? I think you're saying that. So I sang that month ago. Pre-like trade deadline. Yeah. That's awesome. Man. As we wrap up today, we've talked a lot about it. If you had to pick one thing that impressed you the most regardless. You had to pick one specific thing that impressed you the most. What was it? Painter? Yeah. I mean, the whole redemption arc of Bryce is the big story, which I get. Shorber. It's not short-change at Homer B. Shorber. I keep on with the war. It comes up. You know, the offense.

Heading scored a run. That was the eighth inning. Heading scored since the first real quiet offense. Heading two through seven. Shorber comes up. Heading all of a sudden like, all right, well, here comes Harper. Time run, come to the plate. Shout out to Shorber, too. Give him his due all-time leader. 15th home run career for the Phillies in a Phillies uniform. That's the most in franchise history. And now he's third by himself in baseball history. I believe that was his 24th, don't quote me on that career. And of course he's in a career. He has 15 with the Phillies. Obviously, he had some with the Cubs. He had some with the Red Sox. So he's got some other places. But Shorber, man, he's just adds to his postseason resume. But Painter's my answer. 100%. He did. We were going to see him yesterday. And then I thought once they tied it up or part of me took the lead in the 10th, like, are they going to go to Doran? He comes back out there, Painter for a third inning. Just considering rookie, yeah, first postseason game. First like truly for parents, the circumstances where he was, the team he's facing, Painter to me was unbelievable. I'm with you on that. Doran, not available, according to the dinnatically. Doesn't know if he's going to be available for Thursday, which I thought was weird.

And they were like, I think it was Paul Casela of MLB.com. I was like, well, is he hurt? And he's like, no. I mean, it was two 27 pitches, but let's go. But he's also, I've seen him throw 32 pitches and come back the next day. Right. So we'll see. But I think I'll go Bryce just to be different, just because it is the full roller coaster that you and I have talked about so many times of a season. And to see the roller coaster of half an inning. Yeah. Of Bryce's, you know, it was 15 minutes. I looked at that. I always timed things like that. I was like, well, I'm going to go for 15 minutes later the home run. So for 15 minutes, he was the goat. Yep. He was going to be the story going on in the off season. And then just like that, things changed. Ties the game. I think that just speaks following him to his, the type of player that Bryce is. When the lights are brightest, he shows up and going back to Kyle real quick. I'm glad you mentioned that. I think that's the start of the high street coming up for bright or for Kyle Schorber. I truthfully do. I think we're going to see one in game three on Thursday. And I meant to open the show with this. For whatever reason, Sean came.

As they pulled this win out of their took us. Took us. For whatever reason, it brought me back to game one of the 2022 Wildcard series. Cardinals against the Cardinals. Where like, not as crazy. Yeah. But just a funky game. You go down late. I think that there was a there was an air in that inning in the seventh when the cornals took the lead. Yep. And it just felt similar. So go ahead. Just the battle back bone gets on with the it just feels like that. And I think we might get like a three nothing win on Thursday. All right. Which is similar to game two. They want to nothing in game two in that wildcard series against the car. It was in 2022. The parallel is the 2022 Sean King. Yeah. Just team in. Yeah. Six seed on the road. I'm knocking off the braves on the way. I just think if Doran gets Riley out yesterday. Phil is your poppin bottles in the clubhouse going L.A. Right now. Can you imagine? But that's baseball. We got our close win. Who's going to get a second win on Thursday? Can't wait. I can't wait.

Remember, you're pushed to the playoffs on NBC Sports Philadelphia is presented by Toyota. Yes sir. How partner of the Philadelphia Phillies. Game three. Decisive. We don't know what time they're playing. So by the time you listen to this, you probably won't know. Can I just say how ridiculous that is from the Phillies and the brace? I was going to say that. Like these guys, and it's not like, oh, we could be playing at five or six. You could be playing at two or eight. Like these guys don't bet to that.

These guys have routines. And you're not going to know, like it depends on the outcome of the Padreau's Cubs game. That game might not be over. Won't be over the last midnight. I think it ended like one last night. So like, really? Like the Phillies could find out after midnight that, hey, we either got to be at the ball market 10 a.m. tomorrow or 5 p.m. Like depending when they get there, like what time you wake up? It's crazy. Like it's just I get it's all TV controlled and we're in the TV business. So I should understand that. But there is some sort of competitive disadvantage or at least it's back teams that are dealing with it. But that's wild to me. Like a game of this magnitude, they're not going to know what time they could find out at one end that we got a game in 12 hours. 12 hours. Yeah. Or we're not playing until tomorrow night. Don't get to the ballpark until four and after. What do you, what do you do? If you're like a player. I think you have to prepare that you're playing that that's two o'clock. Yeah, I think so. Because like you can't prepare for eight and they're like, oh boy, oh boy, we got to get the bed. We're going to be at the ballpark in eight hours. Yeah. So I think you prepare for two and if you find out later, hey, we got a night game boys, you know, hanging out at the hotel or do whatever you want to do in the morning. Yep. But it's just crazy to me that they're not going to know what time.

And again, it's not like it's two close options. It's six hours apart. Wild. So sorry. No, no, you're right. That's what I was going to say though. Like it's just ridiculous that they have no idea. I'm going to play. Because right now is your sit down here at 730 on Wednesday. White socks up seven three on the Astros. I think it's at the bottom of seven. Likely over. Likely over. Then obviously we saw the Yankees did the red socks last night. Nine nothing winners. That game is getting started in about 30 minutes. And then we got Cubs, Padres. Padres won nothing in that series after dominating performance. So shocking to me. By the way, that Padres are hot. They're hot. They came out that first inning with the Tee-Sum Machado. Boom, boom. And basically that white sock score holds that series is over. And if the Yankees win and the Padres win, those series are over. Philly's and Braves are the only game in town tomorrow at 38 o'clock. If either the red socks were to win or the Cubs were to win, that means there's two games tomorrow and the Philly's would be the early game at two o'clock. Correct. So it's kind of simple. And I thought I was done with this magic number scenario. That's why I wanted to ask you. I'm all over it. But I think then I guess if there's three, the red socks win the Cubs win.

And then it sounds like seven and nine thirty for the red socks. For red socks Yankees Cubs Padres. The way I understand it, the Philly's are all going to be a two or eight. The only way they'll be at eight is one of those teams. The only way they'll be at eight is if they're the only game. Yes. So those are the two series are over. Assume the white socks hold on. We'll see. I'll be up for it. Yeah, you will. I'll find it. Well, now I might have some scotch when I get out. Oh, there it is. I'll show you an October. That's right. Nice glass of scotch. It's officially red October. There it is. If you're listening to this, which is pretty cool. October. Yes, and game three of the series will be played on October 1st officially red October. Pitching matchups. We don't know you and I, and I'll let you say, but you and I are both in agreement. It's going to be again, opinions, Zach Willer taking them out with Aaron Nola, piggybacking off him, depending on what Zach Willer does. But I think at the bottom of the first inning at two o'clock or eight o'clock tomorrow, Zach Willer comes out and takes the ball first. Okay. That's my opinion. I think it's going to be some combination of Willer and Nola.

And I think that if Willer says he's good to go, they're going to start him on a one-day short rest there. It'll be three days rest instead of four. But I think they want Willer to come out and set the tone. They probably in the back of their minds have like Nola on Saturday against the raise in their mind. That's our thing too. Now, obviously, Nola, that was on two days rest. Nola have a little bit more rest coming up here on Thursday. But I think they want to go, Willer. Just like they wanted to start. They were kind of deciding, I thought in game one between Lazardo and Painter. I think in their mind, they thought Lazardo's our better option. Let's set the tone. Let's go out there and start getting zeros on the scoreboard. So I think Willer's going to go and we'll see how long he goes. But I think the only other option would be to let Nola start and have Willer at the ready. Hopefully, Doron's available. I think Zeus will be available. Andrew Painter. Painter said he'll be available. McFarland will be available. You got one out. Yeah, one out. I mean, everybody has Sanchez. No, I don't know. Maybe Lazardo will probably hold back on because he's shoulder and he did throw 70 plus pitches two days ago. But knowing Lazardo, assuming he feels good, I'm sure he'll be out in that bullpen trying to get his way into that game. But who knows if he'll go that route. But I don't know.

Like some combination of Willer and Nola McFarland and Doron's, he'll get you to 27 hours. That'd be pretty sick. If you need Painter again, go ahead. Sure. If Doron's not available, I would go and you'd Painter one more. Yeah. See what happens. See what happens. 23 is old. Yeah, it's 33. He never had any arm issues or anything. Just go for it. His career be damned. No, I'm with you. You want to win the ball. Yeah. You do need to think about a little bit of the big picture. Correct. But it won't shock me to a Baron Nola comes up. But I think we'll be Willer. Yeah. It won't shock me either way. I think we see both tomorrow. I would vote Willer. I wouldn't be shocked if it's Nola. I got a lot of faith in Nola. Both guys, if it's funny, there they are. Weels and Noles, baby. You know, the two staples of this run from a pitching perspective. Sure. And they're going to be on the mound. On a mound, they've been at a long time. It's Wheeler's hometown. Yep. Noles has faced the braze more than anybody in his long career. So neither guy will be faced. And again, I think we'll see both of them at some point. It's going to be awesome. Can't wait. And I think we will see both of them regardless. Sue takes the ball first. And I think Zach Wheeler. Yep. And I think we do see both of them at some point. It's do or die.

Yes, sir. We're not saving for anything unless you win. Yeah. But until that happens, you got to get there first. So we'll see what happens. But it sounds like the braves. There's a reporter with a lead on Mark Bowman who said he expects possibly rake her to let me not reporting this kind of what he thinks might have. Zach, out of the pen, maybe be the opener, one, possibly two, face the top holder. And the gran homes be the bulk guy. The righty will be the bulk guy after that, which, pretty great. We've seen a lot of gran homes. Yeah, we've seen a lot of gran homes recently. He's pitch well and he's had some, you know, he's, he's familiar with the fillies. They're familiar with him and I don't know. It's, you know, it's going to be fun. So many storylines. I was asking. See you Saturday. I'm feeling good about tomorrow. You asked me yesterday. I was like, I don't know. Like I thought they're going to, I didn't like they're even with Sanchez in the amount that I was like, I don't know. That's just such a tough game one loss to come back from. Momentum's on the brave side. Well, now the momentum clearly is on the filly side. And all of a sudden Zach Wheeler's a factor. I, yeah, I think those are going to win them on.

Same. I just, I really objectively think they're going to win them on. Same. I'm with you. And shocked if they lose. It'll be close. I'm sure. You know, it'll be awesome though. Yeah. It'll be awesome. The first two games combined score was what? Fills had seven in the braves had eight. So it doesn't get much closer than that. And I would sure does not. And I think tomorrow it's going to be something very similar. And let's hope they don't get their hearts ripped out. But I think the fills advance to the NLDS to face Los Angeles Dodgers. Me and John Clark would be an LA. Johnny will have to go right from me, went from Chicago to Atlanta. Then he's going to go right to LA. Man, he's going to go weeks without me. That was crazy. That's it. Eddie Sosa leaves the game. Matt and Lee was kind of positive about it. Sounds like he's fine. Like you can tell he's limited clearly. That's not correct. See the way he ran in game one. See the way he obviously had to come out of the game in game two. Even when he's at third, there's a ball down the line. And he kind of dove after he just didn't look like himself. Like he's he's hurting, but he's still being productive at the plate. I hope he can go because obviously if he can't go, then you got to think, what are we doing? We're going to obviously probably would bring Harper in, put boom at third.

Yep. And then De La Cruz or whoever you want in the right field, probably De La Cruz. Yeah, I think so too. And that's it. So if Kirst starts tomorrow, lefty. Yeah. Are we going to see De La Cruz? Regardless, you're going to have Marci and Crog in there. What are you thinking? My guess is they'll probably have a line up out there that they'll have ready to face grand homes. Yes, but I'm thinking to you know, like, okay, if Kirsten there for ending or two and you know, he deals with Marsh in the second inning. Correct. So be it. But leave the lefties in there Crawford and Marsh for when Holmes comes in assuming Holmes is going to throw four innings or so. I'm with you on that. I think we do see Brandon Marsh and Joseph Crawford in March. Another hit. March had another hit on in game two. Sure did. I'm all right with Marsh. Same. I picked a little sore. Yeah, another ground ball. Yeah. It seemed okay after he got the base hit. So keep it out for that Philly's fans regardless. But it's going to be fun. Yeah. This is what we want it. Backs against the wall. They continue to succeed and get the job done. I think they get the job done again in game three on Thursday. And like I said, I'll be in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Sean came with you. I'll be doing podcasts for me here and you there. Is that right? That will see. I'll see. Are you going to call me out there? Maybe you guys can. Well, I'm going to call you. I need you. I'm sorry, whatever we're doing. I need you in here. Don't want to like force my way in if you can see. I need you in here. The listeners need you in here. That's right. No doubt about that. Because we have fans in Atlanta, obviously. Hey, Leon. Yeah. And we have fans in LA from LA. I'm sure that's how I have fans in LA. All those guys were all over us. So. All right. Very good. Atlanta, it's a matter of feeling in the comments. They're there. They got to be nervous. Well, it was so funny. Like they kept showing the dugout. They're up three-one or having a good time. And then Dom spits up with them trying to go forward. And Akuni is like in the thing. Like he looks stressed. And he's smashing coolers in the dugout and all that stuff. You can feel the pressure on the Atlanta Braves because they do not want to lose to this team again. And I'll say, having experience from the Philly side, I do legitimately think I'd rather be the road team tomorrow. 10,000. Because that crowd is going to get tight. They got everything to lose. Things don't go well early.

It gets real tight in there. And that energy is negative. And the praives can feel it. They can't just go up early. Wheelers on the mound thrown well or Nola. It's going to get real dicey for them now if they go up early in the places rocking. Obviously works in their favor. But I think a huge game like this, no one both teams. I think I'd rather be on the road. I'm waiting against the world and let's go. Especially after winning game one, the way that you do. And then you lose game two, the way that you do. Yeah. Yeah. I would 100% be the road team. And I think the Philly is, well, hopefully, carry this momentum into Thursday. Let's go. Yeah. Yeah. This is not ending tomorrow. Not ending. The great philosopher, Nicholas Castellanos, had a quote that I agree with that kind of backs I'm sorry to go off the rails here. Backs up what I said a moment ago, like the wind, the great wind that the crowd provides. It can be a true back. But there's times when that wind can be a headwind. And Nick said that last year that the crowd at CBP, those people get antsy, they get anxious. It's not going well. That works against you. It's a headwind.

Yep. So we can see that headwind at truest park, maybe. Just looking at it. A little breezy in here. Why is man? Yeah, it is breezy in here. It went into Atlanta too. Yeah. Are you got anything else? That's it. I want to end on that. That's on NickyC, baby. Yeah, sir. I hope he's doing well. For Sean Kane. Yep. I'm Spencer McGurcher. Thanks for listening to Philly's Talk podcast.
