We Who Rise

M. Carmen is the author of We Who Rise, a powerful exploration of overcoming adversity through the transformative power of community service. Driven by a foundation of faith, Carmen balances a diverse array of roles, the "many crowns" she wears with grace and purpose.

As a dedicated special needs parent to both biological and stepchildren, Carmen brings a deeply personal perspective to her advocacy. This passion extends into the world of pageantry, where she champions her platform, She Who Rises, to inspire others to find their strength. Professionally, Carmen serves in the medical field while also running her small business, Pin Curls and Pearls, an inclusive salon providing specialized services to individuals both with and without special needs. Her life’s work is a testament to the belief that through community and service, we can rise above any obstacle.
