Welcome to God's Dear Child with Lan Raya Nassanya, overseer of the Spirit of Life Christian Center here in London, Ontario. To help you grow in your relationship with God, here now is Lan Raya. Hello and welcome to to this edition of God's Dear Child I Trust that you're having an amazing day already. And I'm excited about what we're dealing with. Okay, being in the world and being mission minded, we call it in it to win it. All right, we're in this world and we're in excited to be an influence and to make changes and this is so good. So we looked yesterday at John chapter number 17. It's interesting to see the things that Jesus himself said, we just look at the 15th to the 18th versus John 15, John 17 rather versus 15 to 18.

Jesus says here, I do not pray that you should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from the evil one. They are not of this world just as I am not of the world sanctify them by your truth. The world is truth as you've sent me into the world. I have also sent them in to the world and Jesus here is referring to disciples and you might say, well, not us just the other guys. Well, we eventually added us into the prayer verse 20. He goes, I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will be leaving me through their words. So it's pray for all all you might say, well, the upper part was for them. The latter part was for us. Hey, the mission to go into you got it. So the mission and I'm going to slow down and get there in two minutes there about. There is a mission. There is no eject button right now. You might be praying for the Lord to get you out, but the Lord is granting you a nice strength to stay in to get his job done.

I want you to think about this. There are billions of people on this earth. If we're just ejected like right now, how many people really are going to go to heaven with us? So if we think about ourselves alone, then old dead Lord come now and get us out. But when we think about how many more people are unsaved or backslidden or, you know, just never even heard it. There is any gospel. When we think about all those people, then you want to think again. And it's not until you travel out of town and go to a mission field. There are families whose kids have never seen a Bible because great grandpa never won a church. Grandpa never won a church. And oh, grandma and the kids, nobody's going to church. And they are right here just somewhere not too far from you. There are families that have been hurt like three generations away from the church and they just walked away. There are those who have been so hooked on sports and then not their kids are born so they don't know Sunday as a church day.

You know, Sunday as a hockey day or soccer day or some other thing. And those kids give birth to other kids who just don't have an idea of what church looks like because Sundays for them is just all sports and don't get me wrong. My kids are athletic. So I understand that I've had to figure out okay. He gets on to take him to a game or we miss one and we do or not. You because you always have to sit back and ask what exactly are we here to do? Either we all run in the direction the system takes us in or we pause from time and time and say what really is our true North? And I don't mean North on your map. I mean North in our hearts. Our North always points to God. All right. The true rest of all our North is God word. So as much as we have relationships with people or horizontal relationships, we must think vertically. We must think okay, what about the things of God? You say it doesn't matter if we don't go to church.

We could watch live stream and I'm happy about technology. And your technology is good. If we use it well, it's great. But then there is just that fellowship community, community. The same way we bond with people we work with, the kids bond with those they play with, parents hang out for lunch and dinners and everything. We build relationships. There's a church community. To the point that Gaines were in this world, it's ugly, could be yucky, things could be hurtful, but we're in it. And Jesus has grace, enough grace to get us through whatever might be happening in this world. So be encouraged. He said, I'm not praying. Have you take them out? I know that might sound like bad news to you, but just a chapter before this, which is John 16. And then the 33rd verse, John 16, 33, Jesus says here, these things I have spoken to you

that in me, you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation, but be of good share. I have overcome what the world. See the same world again. Just he said, I'm leaving you in the world. I'm not taking out of it. He says here in this world, you will have tribulation. Tribulation means trials, tests and temptations. Challenges will come. But the Lord says, be of good share. I have overcome the world. Let me read this verse to you from the Amplify Classic. It's just good when you read it from me. That's John 16 verse 33 Amplify Classic. I have told you these things so that in me, you may have perfect peace and confidence. In the world, you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration, but be of good share.

Take courage. Be confident. Certain. Undaunted. For I have overcome the world. I have deprived it of power to harm you and I have overcome. I've conquered it rather for you. See what Jesus said. Be of good courage. Take charge or be of good share. I've taken courage. Be confident. Certain. Undaunted. For I have overcome the world. I have deprived it of power to harm you and I've conquered it for you. This is whoop, whoop, double whoop. This is good. So think about this, Chadogod. Be encouraged. Jesus has overcome the world for you. So yes, the world will try to harm you, hurt you and all of that. Even if eventually our lives have to be taken for the sake of a gospel, we receive rewards at resurrection. That is great. Well, not afraid of it. Okay.

Shouldn't be, but then we shouldn't be foolish and die before the time. There's a lot of work to do. So you might say, oh, but once again, I just want to get out. I want to get out. I want to get out. There is grace. He left us in the world because he needs us in this world. So first 18, he says, as you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. Jesus needs you. He needs you here. He needs you in your community. He needs you in your spare. He needs you to help him impact the lives of other people. He would have loved to do this, but he can't. He did come. But then as one man, there's so much he could ever do. He had to go so the Holy Spirit could come and by the multiplication that would give, and the church could be all over the place touching lives and changing lives. Look at it in 2 Corinthians chapter number 5.

The 14th verse of 2 Corinthians 5 says, for the love of Christ compels us because we thought judge that if one died for all, then all died. Look at verse 15. When he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for him who died for them and rose again. I read 15 again. And he died for all that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for him who died and rose again. So who you living for? Oh, I'm just living for my kids. Well, it is great to be responsible for your kids. I'd never tell you otherwise. I've got three beautiful children and we have to be responsible for them as well. But who are you living for? Who are you living for? Because the more you live for the Lord and love your children, they see the good example of living for the Lord as well and together you could do that.

So we live for him. He died for us. He died for us. We live for him. He that so he needs you in this world. He needs you. He needs me. So he said the father sent him into the world. He sent us into the world. He said a similar thing in John chapter number 20 and verse 21, John 20, 21. So please be encouraged. You are in this world. You are sent into this world. So Jesus said to them again, peace to you. Because the father has sent me. I also send you where into the world. Put it all together. John 3, 16, for God so love the world that he gave his only begun and son. So God loves the world. He gave who did he love the world. So John, yes, in first John 2 said, don't love the world. We'll explain that yesterday.

So what are the systems of the world? But the people in it, they're lost. Like no, they're not. Yes, they are. Lost. Lost. Lost and confused. In Matthew chapter number 9 from verse 35, Matthew 9, 35, Jesus went about all the cities and villages teaching in their synagogues, preaching a gospel of the kingdom and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. I read that again. In Jesus went about all the cities and villages teaching in their synagogues, preaching a gospel of a kingdom and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them because they were weary and scattered like sheep, having no shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, the harvest is truly plenty. But the laborers are few.

Therefore, pray to a lot of the harvesters send laborers into his field, send out laborers into his field. Verse 36 again said, he saw the multitudes. He was moved. We compassion. So when you see multitudes, what do you see? Don't you see people see souls? Jesus said because they were weary and scattered like sheep without a shepherd and there are thousands of people, thousands of babies are born every year, thousands of kids in elementary school, thousands of people in high schools, thousands in colleges, thousands and thousands and tens of thousands of groups everywhere. The church and you, right? So you don't just see them say, well, passin' this into something about that. Yeah, your pastor might be thinking about it, but God wants you to think about it too. People are scattered, scattered like sheep without a shepherd. They are weary. They are going through things and Jesus wants them to know about his redemption.

He wants them to know about his love. He wants them to come receive healing. Come enjoy mercy. Come get saved. But none of that's going to happen if we're in this world or refuse to penetrate, infiltrate and influence it. You are salt. You are light. This is who you are and I pray that as we share this, you know, all the days of this week, you pray about it. Just pray into it and see how this will turn out for you and how the Lord would stay you up greatly. So thanks for tuning in today. Looking forward to hanging out with you again tomorrow. Blessings.
